Russian and Ukrainian sources are reporting that a major battle took place near Lugansk. According to these sources, the entire Ukrainian 79th “brigade” was completely wiped off. The same Ukie sources report 50 killed and 100 wounded. Russian TV spoke of 30 to 150 killed. Apparently, the Ukrainians were attacked at about 4:40AM by MLRS (multiple rocker launchers) fire and when they tried to evacuate they were attacked again by Novorussian infantry. Some Ukrainian sources say that the MLRS fire came from across the Russian border while others speculate that the Resistance acquired. Some sources say that Poroshenko will make an official address today.
Here are photos from this battle:

30 pro-American solders killed
Auspicious event. It could be Lavrov’s words enforced by the RF.
Certainly, the Russian military has an opportunity to act while Putin is in Latin America. This gives him some diplomatic space. Any country’s defense forces would protect their borders, especially while the President is traveling. Who could complain?
Bravo, whoever or however. Liberty is won with the blood of the tyrants. Haven’t human beings learned that Freedom is not the natural state of man?
Freedom and Peace come from good men protecting their lives, land and holy beliefs.
When evil rises, it must be put down.
This carnage came from a simple request for federalization of Ukraine. A peaceful plea for self-rule and local control. It would be based in law and constitutionality. Those are human rights.
Now we have civil war and a threat to a peaceful nation next door.
I am praying that today’s vanquish of the Ukies is a small start to a total victory against the satanic regime in Kiev and Washington.
It probably won’t be, but I pray nonetheless.
My thoughts are with Donbass. Because after it falls, should that happen, the lust for more Russian blood will shake the world.

very important time to watch carefully as the world’s attention is turned to Gaza. Please note Amnesty International report that supposedly said that there were kidnapping and tortures in Donbass but the pro-Russian ( their term) folks were worse. Is this a real report or first step on a campaign of misinformation that will have Strelkov shelling Kiev with pictures of Donesk to “prove:” it? Sounds fishy because Amnesty usually takes a more neutral stance. I think it is a red herring by black op.
Wow. These Novorussians can fight. And unlike the Ukies, Israelis, and Anglo-American Empire, they’re actually capable of targeting military assets instead of cluster bombing grandmas and schoolchildren.

Excellent news and hopefully a foretaste of things to come for the unconstitutional puppet regime in kiev. Well done to the self defence forces.
memo: ndf to nazi clowns- this is how you do war, boys…
KyivPost confirmed already this huge loss. Though guy Poroshenko vows to revenge each ukrainian by at least hundreds of pro-russian rebels.
Based on that, we should expect 3000 rebels to be eliminated personally by Poroshenko-Terminator.
It looks like this weekend will be pretty hot. I think that ukraininans had some surprise plan while Putin being away (I was thinking an attack on Crimea). However, it might be turn out that russians also have some surprise.
Those Grad missiles launchers were probably delivered from across the border. Now the rebels can attack from long distance (15km+), too.

Great news (if we can ever call the kiling of people “good news”…).
If this was the work of Ouragan or Smerch rocket systems (and it certainly looks like it), then it shows Russia is arming the resistance with the heavy weapons it needs to repel any banderist attacks.
So much for the theory that Putin isn’t doing enough.
The Donetsk Republics only need to stand firm for 6 more months or so.
After that the Kiev junta will collapse by itself.
The supply of heavy weapons by Russia was the missing ingredient for such a resistance and apparently it’s been provided.
Just in: #ATO air force doing raids on forests nearby the airfield in #Luhansk on #NAF positions there.

Albertde,
If you remember your American history, the Russians like the French then are waiting for a Battle of Saratoga.
Poroshenko vows to kill hundreds for each Ukie killed.
The junta admits 19 dead. The story of the day as written by the PR firm handling the satanic war machine must be 19. Just like Google and every news source said.
But they also number 93 wounded. Which means, the total of dead must be very close to 100 and the wounded would be equal or above.
So Choco Boy wants to kill 10,000 or more to even the score.
I guess the IMF will have to ante up another ‘tranche’ of dollars to get the killing ratcheted up.
How much of those ‘tranches’ is going to rebuild the Ukrainian economy? So far, not a dime.
But all their gold is gone to the West, and the ownership of the pipelines will be next.
The problem for the Ukies is manifold. They have to keep killing to get money to keep killing to get money to keep destroying and killing and ethnic cleansing. There’s hardly any time to steal money. And that’s what their junta is really all about.
They just found out the West steals better than they do.
Banderastan will be a dystopian Disneyland soon.
Maybe they can exploit that with rides and nazi magic. Ghouls, vampires and zombies are big in some circles. Exploit and market their own freakoid world. As long as they have an LGBT sector, they’ll get plenty of free pub from the degenerate West.
I’m reading some really interesting stuff about the history of crusades. In one of the chapters it states: “If you want to defend yourself effectively you should attack”…and “if you want to minimize your losses – you should also attack”. Obviously this is taken out of context and it doesn’t apply in every situation but it seems to be true in this instance.
This news is huge!
@The Saker: Perhaps this is a bit beyond the realm/scope of your blog but it wouldn’t hurt to ask:
Is there any chance, at some point, to compile a list of questions addressed to the command of the DPR through your blog? That way, perhaps at the next briefing, Borodai or Strelkov might engage with the western public through your blog.
People are wondering if the GRAD system came from Russia but the militia has captured several of there in working order over the past weeks – and don’t forget the attack aircraft they captured. Perhaps the push at Donetsk airport has to do with wanting to base it there. They have the junta forces surrounded there so they must be resupplied with air drops.
It is so hard to see the battle scene. Instead of ukrainians fighti g each other whynot let them fight the enhlish and american sccums and bomb england to stone age in order to destroy the real evil behind all this.
… Sounds fishy because Amnesty usually takes a more neutral stance…..’
My friend
Amnesty International was created by CIA and has since worked for America-NATO.
Amnesity international is an english spy organisation andallenglish spies must be tortured to death _thatincludes sll english british media spyjournalist too.
I was not sure where to put this video.
The video does not show people being killed.
The video does not show weapons being fired.
The video does not show destroyed buildings.
This video does not show rough and ready, salt of the earth, freedom fighters.
And there’s not a trace of the Kyiv government, hangers on or other nasties.
What this video does show is just how and why there is not mass unrest and disquiet in Ukraine, Europe and the United States about what is going on. This six minute video shows just how a world can be misled and when you have seen it you will recognise much more easily the tools of the trade being used – I promise it!
…and its not even about people:
The most important video you will see today!

Spin of the day’s events by Reuters.
Total now 23. They’ll get it up to 30 or so by nightfall. They don’t want to seem too in the tank for the junta.
By the way, have you ever seen the MSM outside of Kiev? They get their talking papers there. No need to go where they might get splattered with innocent blood or shot by mistake by snipers hunting Russian journalists and Italian photographers.
But they do say this takes the gloss off the triumph of taking Slavyansk (which, if you recall, was ethnic cleansing by any other name).
Ukraine Vows Revenge
This is the best news! Looks like the people will fight for freedom. I do pray for the people that will be participating in this exodus will be safe and cared for. I just can’t imagine what that even looks like. I also pray for victory over the disgusting freak show that the us gov is backing and paying for with ustd. Evil lost this morning reason for a smile of joy through the madness. Keep praying world Novorussians need it! Blessings!

Lots of good personal accounts of what’s happening.
Saker (or anyone else),
The word “brigade” usually would apply to a formation of many more than 30-150 troops. Why is this terminology used?
That twitter account:
https://twitter.com/BradCabana
is reporting that junta forces along the Russian border are now cut off. Now they will try to slice and cook the sausage.
Battle at the Donetsk airport is still (!) ongoing – cargo drops to the besieged Ukie troops were videod this morning. The Ukies evidently needed this space to lay siege to Donetsk, which is why it’s being so hotly contested. It’s just a pile of rubble now, so not sure what could it could do them even if they managed to break out and hold it.
Also, evidently the land “pocket” between Donetsk and Russian border has been secured by Defense forces, and the Ukie forces therein taken care of. Things seem to be going a *lot* better for the Defense forces than they looked yesterday at this time.
And as another poster mentioned, Poroshenko’s evidently gone off his rocker over the amount of losses that the Ukies are incurring. Just something to make ya smile :-)
Amnesty International mentioned above as smearing the Donbass resistance, is, sadly, CIA, like Human Rights Watch, America’s ACLU, the CIA’s Wikipedia, and many other media-pumped ‘non-profit organisations’, the main cover for CIA operations.
The technique with Amnesty and the rest is to mix lies in with the truth and good, in order to sell the lies. It is like those corrupt ‘International courts’ in the Hague, Netherlands. They pick on ‘weak’ targets, never the core Nato beast.
Amnesty is one of the more sophisticated players at this CIA game. In their own minds, it is a necessary ‘devil’s bargain’, they get to help genuinely oppressed people in some countries, by being the US-CIA servant. Like the ACLU they cleverly do some slight US knocking on media-known topics (Guantánamo, death penalty).
For a comprehensive picture of CIA dis-info practices – including the ’20 Major Techniques of CIA Wikipedia deception – here the report at EU police and prosecutors getting ready to act against Wikipedia for fundraising fraud, for Wiki pretending to be a ‘charity’ when it is really CIA:

GBLMK:

Ockham’s razor suggests that the GRAD now in possession the NAF, along with STRELA, NONA, T64’s, etc. are from the thousands of pieces of equipment scattered around Ukraine and available for the taking to anyone with enough guns or available for purchasing from corrupt military officials.
Entites should not be multiplied beyond necessity.
If Russia could supply NAF itself, or encourage and make possible self-supply from Ukrainian stockpiles, it is obvious the latter is simpler and cleaner and better serves Russian interests. The known video evidence of heavy repair shops in Lugansk and Donetsk restoring T-34’s and T-54’s and military tractors and other equipment to service also suggest the self-supply solution.
Additionally, there were reports at the beginning of June of the Sloviansk garrison capturing GRAD missiles in a supply convoy (but not a launcher). We can discuss Russian involvement when there is some sort of evidence actually supply it besides the fantasies of Tymchuk.

If what I am seeing is correct the Ukrainian army and militia is bottled in at the Russian border. Saur Mogila has been taken making a box there.
Twitter has a report of ‘peacekeeping’ vehicles inside Russia at the border.
I read that Poroshenko wants to talk again.
I winder if this weekend we see this offensive action get set in stone for a time while discussions take place?

looking at the pic of damage
http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/zergulio/14338131/801021/801021_original.jpg
I see very little damage to the surrounding area, no craters, and grass is burned only around the vehicles. This tells me it was not HE warheads but very precise targeted weaponry. And I don’t see much evidence of any misses. Nothing in the foreground/background show any damage at all.
GRAD rockets are given a slight spin from rifling in the tubes and deploy fins after launch. Both these aspects help make them quite accurate even up to 30km. Though, they still have a high CEP(circular area of probable hit) as they are unguided.
So, all this tells me is the rockets used, if it was the GRAD system that was used, were 9m217.
http://www.splav.org/en/arms/grad/m217.asp
Each rocket will deploy 2 weapons above the target area which will parachute down searching for a target. Once a target is found and in rance, a small charge is set off firing the warhead directly at its target.
Impressive results.
This IMAGE / MAP shows DPR squeezing UKR army in narrow corridor along Russian border.
“The red star marks the place of today’s #Ukraine army column annihilation by #NAF The place is called Zelenopolye. “
Even if these aren’t Bandera fascist types, it’s great to see the Ukie military taking a pounding. It might dissuade others in the regime forces and put pressure on “Maidan” civilians who want to see their sons come back alive and not in little pieces.
I can certainly understand it is both sad and revolting to see brothers killing brothers (if indeed this 79 “brigade” was made of ukranian soldiers and not foreign mercenaries).
However one must realise that the American and British peoples, or any other people for that matter, are not to blame.
They are being as manipulated by their governments as the “western ukranians” are.
Most just don’t realise that. Yet…

If true, it is a very telling admission of his. Let me illustrate the implication of his statement:
These two preconditions can safely be assumed to be true:
1. A Ukrainian is a human being
2. Most resistance fighters are ethnic Russians
Now Poroshenko’s value assertion:
A Ukrainian’s death is worth hundreds of Russians’ deaths.
Put together you can conclude that in his mind, the life of a Russian is worth less than 1% of a Ukrainian’s.
This is racism in its purest form. At the same subterranean level as Takfiris, Neocons, Zionists and Nazis.
But then again, you need force and violence to keep the population of US-colonies compliant. In US Newspeak, this is called “stability”: To ensure that resource extraction can continue with profits going to the elite. A small part of the population may be useful as servicing the elite (including escort services).
The rest is livestock for organ harvesting or brothels in the Western dependencies of the Empire. Those who disagree with these prospects are likely to be cut to pieces and thrown in a roadside ditch. There’s a Newspeak term for this kind of arrangement: “The Salvador option”.

Donbas feeling encouraged today. Seems they might have some losses as well – armor lost to air attack.
What is happening in Gaza and Novorossia is coming home to the US, UK, Europe . . . these motherfuckers have finally gone over the line. We are now entering the stage of global guerilla war. Even Russia and China will not be able to prevent it, only defend . . .
The destroyed combined group consisted of both 24th mechanised and 79 air mobile brigades.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BsP7k2gCMAEiiIV.png:large
Hi Saker, meanwhile, BBC’s minimizing the “79th “brigade” completely wiped off” event, but posted “Amnesty International has accused separatists of abuses in the three-month conflict”, “The group said it had found “graphic and compelling evidence of savage beatings and other torture” by pro-Russian groups in eastern Ukraine”, “The Amnesty report, Abductions and Torture in Eastern Ukraine, said that protesters and journalists had been targeted, and hundreds of people had been abducted”, “Pro-government forces had also committed a smaller number of abuses, Amnesty said”. Sometimes, I hope Putin will start a nuclear war versus us, western Europe. I’d die happily, cause these bastards would be with me. Ad maiora.

It looks like the banderivtsy were caught out in the open while on the move. The ideal conditions for mass attack from mortar/artillery/rocket batteries. The western zionist owned/run media is howling like schoolgirls deprived of their cell phones about this, exactly opposite to the silence from these war criminals when their nazi proxies used such weaponry, plus CW, on civilians and civilian infrastructure.

These all contain a lot of duplicate info, but also describe different details, as well. One potentially devastating development for the banderivtsy:
“Meanwhile, confirmed and appeared at about 13:00 information about the environment of the southern group UkrSib troops that with a large number of tanks, other armored vehicles and artillery have advanced more than 60 kilometers along the border, leaving in the rear narrow isthmus between the mountain Saur-Grave and the Russian border is no more than 7-8 km. The first reports that hit the media 6-7 hours ago or longer, indicated big losses. They originated as Ukrainian reports.
Ukies Blasted
Over the next several iterations that total dropped to 19. then back up to 23, then 30.
If the Ukrainians and CIA psyops/State Dept PR teams have to deceive the public in Banderastan and delude their own junta, this is very telling.
Who won’t be deluded are the other Ukies who listened to the communications traffic, who helped the wounded and the few who survived in one piece if there were any. They will be the truth the other Ukies will hear and see and remember.
How many fighting units will want to try traversing that region again?
This was a major disaster for Ukie commanders. And seeing how the geniuses in Kiev always react, they will shuffle the chairs on the sinking ship once again.
30/50/100/200/400 is the casualties. Take your pick. They lost all their equipment. They lost manpower. They lost momentum on the battle field and they failed to encircle.
Minefields and Grads are part of the equation.
Covert aid is another.
And best of all the Amnesty International bulls**t is overwhelmed by the Ukie setback.
@Dammerung
Banderists are well known about their abilities to avoid fight with regular army. They allways prefer to kill innocent people, who can’t give proper response to their actions.
Bakunin,
How reliable has this source been in the past? Does anyone know?
Good question – seems good during my checks today. Some anonymous poster linked to it on one of these posts. Now reporting that Ukrainian commander Colonel Igor Momot has been killed. From another source:
“The BIG news out of Ukraine is the destruction of the “Lviv” National Guard battalion near Lugansk. reports vary but around 450+ UK casualties are being reported. They got caught moving across open fields with a large GRAD attack, followed by a large Anti-tank ambush. Hromadske TV is confirming this.
Also, the Col. in charge of retaking the ATO-area border posts, Col. Igor Momot, was killed, along with his entire entourage, in an ambush.
Reports of that another of Kolomoisky’s groups (”Donbas-2”??) is surrounded and cut off near Saur-Mogilia.
Another attack aircraft was shot down near perevalsk, adding to the the two SU-25’s claimed yesterday near Seversk.
The rebels have gotten a LOT more active in the last two days.”

Do you have a problem with what is reported on rusvesna.su?
And is there something wrong with using Google translate, which I find does the job quicker than Yandex? Its not like I am paying Google money.

Since you are the one attacking them, why don’t you tell us all what is wrong with the site beyond that you don’t like it being hosted in Costa Rica?

I’d appreciate your explaining to me how I have a psyops operating mode? I am just an ordinary American suburban nobody who likes the Russian people and wishes we had an American president like Putin who clearly loves his people and country and works for their good.
Is it psyops for me to read Novorossiya and Ukraine sites and occasionaly provide links and comments here? Maybe it is psyops for me to post under my own Christian name?

I keep ‘digging’ the fight in you. Righteous attitude! You use your free speech rights and I appreciate that.
I use Politikus, voiceseva.ru (voice of sevastapol)(Col.Cassad), and rusevesna.su. to follow the war. I like Voice of Russia, RT, an Itar Tass, ria.ru for news, also.
RT is the weakest. Rainovosti goes to sleep over weekends and holidays. I really enjoy the forums of Politikus. They are rough language and passionate and very, very funny at times. I read the Yandex translations into tortured syntax so much I think I”m fluent in Russian. It’s a hoot.
Also, I see clearly the religious backbone of Russian point of view. The people have trusted in their beliefs. It is the one thing in their lives that has brought them through the hell of wars and political intrigue.
On Liveleak I use ygfront for daily video reports. The guy does a Russian version and the English version. Very sarcastic commentary and very good production values of editing.
liveleak.com/c/ygfront Usually has a few videos each day.
Keep firing away, brother.

UNlike Rusvesna.su, this site has been around for many years now reporting on items of interest in Russia, Ukraine, and elsewhere.
I also reccomend Graham Philips twitter feed and blog, which is some of the only in-depth investigative reporting being done by an English speaker in Ukraine. His ongoing investigation into the Mariupol massacre and the videos he has dug up are eye opening compared to the pabulum that has been presented everywhere else including many Russian language sites. Even more than the Odessa massacre I think the shock of this event on the holy day of Victory on May 9 was the catalyst for the self-determination referendum and the armed resistance which followed.
