A great video, here’s another excellent one of Putin, 8 mins, translation by Inessa S – where did she go? -: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co8s0egftsc&feature=youtu.be
Where he asks some hard, fair and perceptive questions of Russian bosses as to why targets are not met etc.
“The US will pull out of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) with Russia, AP reports President Donald Trump saying. He cited Russia’s alleged treaty violations, while at the same time vowing to “develop the weapons.”
“We are going to terminate the agreement and then we are going to develop the weapons” unless Russia and China agree to a new deal, Trump said on Saturday……..”
As usual no evidence – just threats. Russia accuses the US of violating the existing treaty. Putin had already stated in October 2017 that if US leaves Russia will leave too. So who is going to blink first? Does John Bolton think he can go to Russia now and get what he wants? The man is delusional.
A desperate, dangerous, collapsing USA knows nothing else but war – it isn’t coming to its senses and as usual double downs. Utter madness grips its Government. There will be no winners in a hot war.
Just watched clip of Trump announcing the pull-out and he mentions China coming to the table – China isn’t part of the Treaty – is that what is driving this?
Maybe Trump possesses only one technique to “make a deal”: issue threats until the “opposition” collapses and he shouts “You’re fired!”
Next episode . . .
Of course, this is not going to work with Putin or Xi.
Putin seems to be saying: No, *you* are fired. As in, nuked.
Maybe the best way to “fire” Trump is to collapse the US economy.
Would that also mean the “firing” of the Pentagon budget and our 800+ military bases?
“At a meeting on Wednesday, Putin congratulated Dagestani fighter Nurmagomedov on his “worthy and convincing” submission win over McGregor in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Touching on the ugly scenes that followed the fight – when Nurmagomedov leapt over the cage to confront McGregor team member Dillon Danis, apparently after being goaded – Putin said that while it was best to keep emotions in check, “anyone could have jumped [from the cage] in the same way.”
“If we are attacked from the outside, not only you, we could all jump in such a way… there could be hell to pay,” Putin told Khabib and his father, Abdulmanap, at a meeting on the sidelines of the ‘Russia – Country of Sports’ forum in the city of Ulyanovsk.
“But it’s better not to reach that stage,” Putin added, prompting smiles from Khabib and his father, as the pair nodded in agreement.”
Extrapolated into foreign relations, I think it means working out a way to counter and respond to provocations beforehand, including ways to pre-empt the situations needed for the provocateurs to initiate them and prevent them happening. In other words, stay one step ahead of one’s adversaries as much as one can so one isn’t the reactionary.
It is interesting to note Conor’s behaviour. His raise to fame came when he predicted how he would beat his opponent, and did so in mere second’s. This came about, I believe because Conor studied his opponents fighting style. I would suggest that Conor did not study his opponent Khabib strongly enough, believing more in his own self and in modern ‘Western’ behaviour of taunting and insulting, and thus he lost.
It is a shame that Conor forgot the ‘Wake of Mary MacGregor’.
It’s good to see that VV Putin’s guards only ate the cheese; the ‘Cheesy’ Gordon Highlanders shot their cheese.
I also appreciate the enthusiasm of the farmer, and what he considers his good fortune in being able to sell cheese to Europe. Putin’s reply is quite correct; it is the American sanctions that is helping this Russian farmer and his compatriots to make a better life and to improve Russia overall.
I believe Col Gadhafi of Libya found something similar and he was able to build aqueducts from the inland water supply to the coastal cities and thus stop using reticulated sea water, without any help from the IMF, which deprived the IMF of a large profit.
Oh,russkies, you are blessed to have him as president! I just tried to imagine a similar situation with Merkel or Steinmeier… oh my god!
Indeed. Great man.
Blessed are the cheese-makers!!!
And a good one from Tom Luongo on the Valdai meeting:

Started following him of late, never deceives.
Blessed are the Luongos and the Sakers!!!
And the cheese makers:

Thanks El Sid. I learned a lot from The Saker over the years.
Ta,
It’s so true. This was the only way to break Russia’s love with and submission to U$ofA
Sweet.
I love Putin!

At this same meeting Putin talked about nuclear war.
A few days later – Trump confirms USA is pulling out of the Treaty:

Some insight into the thinking of Putin.
Putin to Khabib on UFC brawl: ‘When someone provokes us from outside, there can be hell to pay’
