I agree with Dave, this is clearly a well scripted PR vid, any fool who has ever had any prolonged contact with soldiers can see that, but it is what it is. Squaddies the world over are the same and speak in one tone to civilians and those in authority over them and completely differently amongst themselves.
So I don’t think that warrants such invective against Dave. I’m still glad to watch this PR film of their invaluable and worthwhile work in Aleppo and I’m sure that the remaining residents appreciate their presence and PR efforts as well. I just don’t kid myself that this is the whole story as far as the soldiers doing this dangerous and vital work are concerned.
Nothing is ever the whole story, but people, organizations and groups, religious sects, police forces, businesses, jobs and workers, stores, countries, hospitals, schools, news bureaus, blogs, are not all the same: some are much worse or much better than average. Btw, thay were talking on TV, in a program about esoteric issues about the possibility of soldiers being manipulated at brain level to make them perpetrators of all those numerous attacks against civilians we are witnessing since time ago. They were talking about the last attack at an airport in Florida and one of the guests had been making schemes and have gound that all follow the same pattern. Indeed, the perpetrators had all a certain profile of PTS, and some had talked about feeling waves and hearing voices saying them to do what they had done.
Also has been mentioned a project initiated by Obama called “Brain Initiative”, supposedly focused on health issues, but believed by the guests that will have applications in other not so orthodox uses/fields.
