The Russian Defense Ministry said that the APU lost more than 1,200 people in an attempt to attack
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), while trying to conduct an offensive in Mykolaiv-Krivoy Rog and other directions, suffered heavy losses, more than 1,200 soldiers were destroyed. This was reported to journalists by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
According to the ministry, Russian troops destroyed 48 tanks, 46 infantry fighting vehicles, 37 other armored combat vehicles, 8 pickups with heavy machine guns.
In addition, while repelling the enemy’s offensive, the Russian military defeated the units of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was transferred to participate in a special operation from western Ukraine. Five soldiers of the brigade laid down their arms and surrendered, the Defense Ministry added.
Earlier it became known that the Aerospace Forces of Russia (VKS) over the past day destroyed the production workshops of the Intervzryvprom plant, where explosives and other products for Ukrainian troops were produced, in the city of Krivoy Rog, Dnipropetrovsk region.

The Ukrainian offensive so far was a disaster but i don’t think they have given up yet.
They can give up or not, but none of that will change the fact that attacking Russian forces on a totally flat terrain is a suicidal mission. If 1200 KIA are not enough for the USA, then they will continue and get even more KIA/MIA.
This is really revolting, and *nobody* cares about these thousands of uselessly killed Ukrainians…
That is the sad thing about all of this. It is terrible that normal men are being conscripted into this meatgrinder. Many I’m sure don’t have the stupid NAZi ideology or even care about it.
Very sad. I wish the Ukie’s would overthrow their corrupt govt and NATO. It is easier said than done. A lot of poor and older men who done not want to be there are dying for nothing. The rich ones left the country. Sick.
NATO itself will revolt and throw off the USA.
The neocons will gladly fight to the last Ukrainian.
I live in Australia, and I am ashamed and disgusted by the crimes committed by our so-called leaders in the West. Their are so many Ukrainians dying because of the dictates from Washington. Ukrainian is just another ‘expendable’ country for the continuation of Western hegemony. Ultimately this will fail as we are already seeing the decline of the collective west, and I for one applaud this.
Hi John, I am Irish and exact same situation over here
I am more ashamed and disgusted by the compliance and cheering of the brain dead zombies that validate the prostitician’s treasonous crimes.
A recent example the applause the dog face Truss received when she said she is ready to ‘give the order’ to use nukes.
And its another 1200 off somebody’s payroll.
Exactly. No salary anymore nor uniform nor meals, and pension on the state budget is directly allocated into other pockets.
Plus the uniform, eqp and meals are transferred to a new person in the excel sheet of the living which is double saving………….LOL. Multiplied by 100 000 this can make quite a lot of money.
King Midas couldnt have figured this out better.
Exactly, savings in salary, uniforms but above all pensions for the mutilated..
They won’t drop off payroll until the war is over. Their pay envelope can be put to good use by the battalion commander.
At least he wont screw it up
Don’t know why this is a surprise. Ukrainians have been losing these numbers every day, for months, before the pause. Russian army is running out of targets and UAF to kill.
They used to hold lines with regiments, then it fell to companies now they are using fireteams of 4 men to hold lines.
The Ukrainian chief off staff yesterday claimed that the Russian army has reached Shnurki which seems to be some small river between Slavyansk and Barvenkovo but there is no word of that in any Russian report and if true that would put the Russian much more south then they are officially.
Any explanation for this? Why would the Ukrainians put the Russian advance so much more then the Russians themselves say they are?
I agree. Disgusting politicians push for these attacks and brave men get killed.
I believe that Russians see Ukrainians predominantly as kinfolk (except the few who support Bandera ideology) and this must be very harrowing for them.
The west is just using these brave men as political pawns. It is horrible.
I am not a military expert, but who gave the order?
Aren’t good generals in the Ukrainian army? And what happened of the Nato “advisors”?
This continuous killing of Ukrainian soldiers “for nothing” is beyond stupidity. If this latest “fiasco” was ordered by Zel. himself, it shows that the man has lost his head in willing to score a victory against the Russian army.
Updated today by Lt.-Gen. Igor Konashenkov, numbers of AFU troops destroyed increased to 1700+.

It is very sad 2 very close Slavs nation have to fight past 8 yrs..because of politics of two khazars beauties -Pornoschenko(spell) and Ze……..
remember…Ze…will fight to the last Ukrainian……of course he will not and end up as comrade Allende……
Zelensky’s fate is yet to be determined, but I bet that he would find it impossible to buy life insurance at this time.
I’m really hoping this Ukie/Nazi offensive is repulsed in spectacular fashion, followed by Russia capturing fresh ground in a counter-attack. Most important is that the Nazis suffer unusually heavy casualties. Something like that.
What I describe here, if it happens, could have a devastating impact on Ukie morale. The effects will be felt throughout the country, by the civilians and the troops. Such an outcome could hasten the war’s end for two reasons. One, it could incline the Ukrainian people to pressure Kiev to seek peace. Two, it might be a wake-up call for naive, poorly informed Westerners that US/NATO elites must stop fueling this horrible, futile war effort.
See my comment on the 8.29.22 war sitrep about the 1917 Kerensky Offensive. That reflects my thinking on the Ukraine’s probable situation right now.
I see that The Institute (prostitute?) For The Study of War is proudly promulgating Ukranian propaganda.
The ISW is a pure Neocon project
Everyone knows ISW is a fraud. Just check the footnotes on their daily “reports.” Roughly 70% of reference Ukrainian government officials or the Ukrainian General Staff.
ISW’s articles are just rehashed Ukie propaganda, supplemented by US/UK/NATO propaganda.
A couple weeks ago someone on this forum posted a link the Wikipedia article on ISW. The first few paragraphs indicated ISW gets its funding from corporations providing equipment and weaponry to the Pentagon. That says it all about ISW’s credibility.
I could say a lot more about this fake “think tank,” but I’ll leave it at that.
It is surprising that almost nobody realizes that the ISW is the creation of the Kagan/Nuland clan. They don’t get their ‘information’ from Ukrainian sources. They formulate the narrative of the war presenting it as ‘information’.
Uk propaganda is terminal. Latest idea promulated is sneaky smart ukies are building wooden models of HIMARS and depleting top tier RF missiles. You know when they ran out of everything months ago style. Copuim extreme. But hey someone must believe it if they print it.
Institute for the Study of War is a family affair: run by Zionazi husband-and-wife, Kagan and Nuland; its president is Kimberley Kagan; and it is funded by donations from arms manufacturers in search of contracts from influential politicians. Biden’s sidekick Nuland who funded the “cookie coup” of 2014 which installed Nazi battalions in a Ukraine now led by a succession of Jewish presidents, is of Ukro-Jewish descent.
Ukro-Jewish Oligarch Kolomoisky who funds the present Jewish president Zelensky also funds the Ukro-Nazi battalion Azov, also built the world’s largest Jewish-memorial in the world; built it in Ukraine.
These Kagan/Nuland Students of War and their Ukrainian Oligarch associates dream of turning Ukraine back into ancient Khazaria, which was the largest Jewish State in history — a real kingdom in East Europe and far bigger than the fabled Kingdom of David in Middle Asia.
One shudders to think what would have happened if Russia had not intervened to de-Natzify Nuland’s “cookie” Ukraine; because a Blue-Yellow victory would have led to a final reckoning between Ukraine’s Neo-Nazi troops and their Neo-Khazarian Leaders. Yellow-Blue victory would lead to a new Holocaust between Yellow and Blue. Either a Ukro-Nazi army would ethnically cleanse Ukraine of its Jews, or a Jewish Oligarchy would recruit Anglo-American armies to ethnically cleanse Ukraine of its Ukrainians; like Anglo-American armies help Zionazis to ethnically cleanse Palestine of its Palestinians.
lots of old planes on their way so claimed by sputnik news
Poland and Slovakia will transfer old MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.
Warsaw will give 30 planes, Bratislava will send 11 more, local media write.
As always, there is a nuance in sending foreign equipment to Ukraine — wear and tear.
The MiG-29 variant from Poland has a lot of wear, outdated equipment and old engines.
Since 2011 Slovakia is going to write off all its MiG-29s because of their wear and tear and the high cost of operation.
Kiev has become the main assistant in the disposal of obsolete equipment from Eastern European countries.
presumably they will be road rail transported and might take time to reassemble and repair in a specialist facility….????
Oh yes, but the real shortage here is for pilots, not old aircraft.
The US is now training Afghani pilots for these aircraft deliveries.
So we are going to see MiG-29A with Afghani pilots vs Su-35s with a (highly trained!) Russian pilot
That is called a suicide mission and not competent airman will ever agree to one (why would he/she?)
Next,
Airfields: you can hide aircraft in all sorts of locations (Soviet kit could even land on dirt roads and fields!) but you will never be able to assemble an air regiment for a major attack. If you assemble them, BOOM! If you don’t, you are talking about 1-2 aircraft missions, 95% one way missions to boot.
Now do you see the real problem NATO and the US are facing in the Ukraine?
The Russian SAM system so good it is suicide to up against it. Ukies probably threatening pilots to fly a mission.
Democrats believe in Critical Race theory so they absolutely don’t care about how many Whites die in this war, especially the SecDef.
They seem to be using the MiGs in A2G role exclusively. A 29A or newest SMT are pretty much equal in AD-saturated environment.
So, in that role, it is not a total waste. They sure are more survivable than a Su-25.
The “problem” is other. There is very little CAS one can do at 500 kph. Enough to be seen “doing something” and that is about it.
A morale booster for the troops to stay in trenches longer and make sure they get slaughtered. Nor more. No less.
First, comparing the MiG-29A to an SMT is plain silly.
Second, the only AD saturated environment is the one created by Russia. The Ukronazis do not have an integrated air defense anymore.
Why would you think that an MiG-29 would be more survivable in a CAS role that a Su-25???????? Are you assuming that the only threat to these aircraft are air-to-air missiles from Russian interceptors?
I do fully agree with your conclusion though: A morale booster for the troops to stay in trenches longer and make sure they get slaughtered. Nor more. No less.
Cheers
appreciate the reply-ta- yup the western endless desperation and failing EU beliefs to try pretend there is a morale boosting option that could be effective. Must be very few places where the planes can be fixed up….and Russia will know of these and keeps neutralising repair facilities for military equipment so this situation will be the same.
Could surely take months to fix up a plane… unless of course they plan to use them as a one way trip like Jap Kamikaze planes.
Presumably Borrels plan for EU countries to initiate a comprehensive defensive flight plan with planes covering eastern borders jointly is just as symbolic…..could be a question if they establish flight plans that might gradually move eastward from their borders over into Ukraine airspace .. ? Might they dare one wonders.
The conflict in Ukraine is precipitating the end of Western domination
by Thierry Meyssan
The Ukrainian conflict, presented as a Russian aggression, is only the implementation of the Security Council resolution 2202 of February 17, 2015. If France and Germany did not keep their commitments during the Minsk II Agreement, Russia prepared itself for seven years for the current confrontation. It had foreseen the Western sanctions well in advance and needed only two months to circumvent them. These sanctions disrupt US globalization, disrupt Western economies by breaking supply chains, causing dollars to flow back to Washington and causing general inflation, and creating energetics in the West. The United States and its allies are in the position of being the hosers hosed: they are digging their own grave. Meanwhile, the Russian Treasury’s revenues have increased by 32% in six months.
https://www.voltairenet.org/article217850.html
Maybe, but only because of those damn Kalibr hypersonic missiles made secretly in Putin’s Grandma’s dark basement.
Had Putin kept his obligations and promises to duly comply with the International Rules Based Order we in the West had won the Jack Pot.
The weakness of the Ukrainian attacks and yet the ultra-strong words of Zelensky who says he will recover everything back including Crimea, may be reflecting that Zelensky’s position is very weak also. It is very weak.
The moment it is accepted and realized that those regions are lost forever to Russia, he cannot sustain power. He could be considered responsible for the loss at that point.
So, his strong words now are not “crazy.” He sounded so before the war when he insisted on joining NATO and then said he wanted a nuclear bomb. Once a war starts, any leader who does not “believe” in victory loses his power.
Medvedev mentioned the coup possibility this week, but we can see how it must have been part of the SMO plan (sure thing), why Putin invited a coup openly in the first 24 hours of it, probably why Russian troops immediately surrounded large cities of Ukraine in the first 24 hours, as if seeking to destabilize the government and hasten a coup rather than to take over those large cities.
Zelensky decides absolutely nothing.Nato(US UK) controls everything in Kiev or wherever they hide(even from Poland, Washington and for sur London).
He receives his script every morning and then repeat the all thing on tv and on msm.
The goal of the Kerson offensive is about…Odessa. Bojo as one single obsession since day one, the control of the Black Sea. Don’t forget that both US and UK are thalassocracies, for them the control of all seas is power.
Nikolaev is on the route to Odessa. Delaying RU to take Nikolaev before mid oct, to keep a “chance’ of holding or exchanging Odessa in March?
The fake wheat deal was also about Odessa, nobody cares(even less ZE) about delivering wheat to any place, even less to poor countries which really needed it the most.
For the UK, Russia may even take 95 % of Ukraine(they won’t of course), as long as they the UK holds Odessa(if possible Crimea even better, will never happen anyway). Can kill as many ukrops as possible they don’t care.
They wanted to install two military bases near Odessa back in 2021.
If Putin did not have decided yet about taking Odessa or not, he should do it, otherwise we will have the biggest Nato naval base in Europe there after the War.
The Mayor of Odessa asked for ‘negociations’ to avoid destroying this historic city, he even refused to destroy the Catharina II, ZE and nazis wanted to get rid off.
“Zelensky decides absolutely nothing.”
There’s a school of thought that says so, “puppet theorists” – he is only a puppet! Yet Putin did ask for a military coup against Zelensky in those first 24 hours, and this week Medvedev mentioned a coup against Zelensky. Pepe Escobar: “Dmitry Medvedev, relishing his unplugged self, has laid down the law on the Special Military Operation (SMO). Bluntly, he affirmed there is a “one and a half” scenario: either to go all the way, or a military coup d’Etat in Ukraine followed by admitting the inevitable. No tertium applies.” /all-the-way-to-odessa/
I won’t even say what I believe to be true online anymore.
Nazis might nazi……
Problem no 1 after a coup: who do you want to see in power in this failed country? Not even easy to find a decent ‘neutral’ one as the position will be very risky to say the least.
But another kind of coup may happen: a nazis coup, if there are still some left? Any news of the Yarosh and co? Very discreet..I don’t hear the fanatic (less nazi)Kuleba so much as well.
Many around ZE circle(civil, sbu, military, judges etc..) have been fired if not worse?
They could be tempted to take revenge….but a nazi coup when the all circus collapses and the real nr of KIA WIA MIA is known by the populace, we may have some angry surprises for ZE.
He will be exfiltrated in London, many bojo SAS around him, private jet is ready somewhere.
“Problem no 1 after a coup: who do you want to see in power in this failed country?”
People disregard authoritative sources and then forget about them. When Putin invited a coup during the first 24 hours of the SMO, he said that he would prefer to negotiate with the Generals than with the (Zelensky) government. From Medvedev’s recent declaration, you can easily deduce the answer also: He pointed to anyone who does the coup because he understands that Zelensky’s govt. was harmful, or self-destructive, and who is realistic about the new realities. That’s the one who does the coup he referred to. Zelensky himself says that there are many pro-Russian people in his government (spies) and many “traitors” among the Generals. You disregard that too. You are not an island. What are you commenting about if you disregard sources like that?
@tranquilocomp 31 Aug. 2022 09:39 a.m.
There is talk about Gen. Zaluzhny after Ze but there are no guarantees…🤭🤭🤭
I only know the Gen. cited by you from a picture where he is smiling – not him, for sure. Most likely it’ll be like one of the the “spies” or “traitors” Zelensky talked about.
I think a coup must be part of the “plan” because it’s a possibility that only grows with time; it does not become smaller or stay the same. It’s an objective reality; Zelensky is worried about “traitors” and “spies” too. They are there, he cannot squash them. He gossips about it. This shows a weak position too; does anyone think he is in a strong position as to his own rule or power? It’s hard to think “I do!”.
“Zelensky decides absolutely nothing.Nato(US UK) controls everything in Kiev or wherever they hide(even from Poland, Washington and for sur London).
He receives his script every morning and then repeat the all thing on tv and on msm.”
People say the exact same thing about Biden, Macron, etc. but these statements are platitudinous red herrings. Why? Because Zelensky, Biden, Macron etc., knowingly and willingly chose to be “puppets.” As a practical matter what difference does it make whether Zelensky is following orders given to him by the voices in his head (i.e. directly from Satan) or by way of an intermediary in Washington or Brussels?
Biden could stop sending weapons to Ukraine tomorrow, just like Zelensky could surrender tomorrow. Let’s face it any of these “puppets” could decide to go against the voices (regardless of their provenance) any time they want to. They may suffer consequences for it, including assassination, but they are all volitionally in positions of power and they all have a moral choice. Because it is Zelensky’s choice if he “decides absolutely nothing,” in a sense he actually decides absolutely everything.
Some light hearted relief;
Europe is buying Russian lng from China and pretending not to know where it came from.
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/china-aggressively-reselling-russian-gas-europe
Not content with funding it’s No.1 enemy, Russia, with energy policies which substantially increase Russia’s income, NATO members are now funding China, NATO’s No.2 enemy, by buying Russian lng off the Chinese.
Perhaps Ukraine would be better off without NATO ‘helping” ?
https://www.rt.com/business/561840-gazprom-engie-gas-cut/
and France knows how to behave…..in front of the boss USA
Russia has a winning hand as long as it doesn’t make any serious blunders.
Because she took so much land in the early stages when Ukraine made the error of drawing its forces into the major towns.
The kill ratio for a defender is greater than an attacker, since Ukraine has to attack to keep the west supplying arms it will lose many.
The only risk now for Russia is western advanced systems “sniping” its supplies and weapons systems.
The west uses its advantages in electronic “eyes in the sky.” Russia can counter this by playing a “shell game” when those eyes are not watching or are blinded.
Anyhow the west will lose interest and the lying whore media will drop the story once it becomes obvious even to an ass its over.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), while trying to conduct an offensive in Mykolaiv-Krivoy Rog and other directions, suffered heavy losses, more than 1,200 soldiers were destroyed.
As anticipated.
The Western-backed criminal regime in Kiev is just feeding Ukrainians into the meat grinder, all so that the regime can crow — amplified by the MSM propaganda machine and ‘think tanks’
— about a (fleeting) offensive. The only positive that I can see is the damage done to a brigade kept in reserve in western Ukraine that was committed to battle.
If an operation such as this one continues to be mounted Dmitry Medvedev could be proven correct in predicting a military coup against the despicable regime in Kiev.
In the meantime, the IAEA team is heading to the Zaporizhzhia NPP. The plant is about 400-500 km away from Nikolaev but I fear for the safety of the inspectors. Incidentally it is interesting that the IAEA only publishes sitreps on ZNPP — including fire (artillery) damage! — reported by the Ukraine on its website. At any rate RF will probably observe a ‘regime of silence’ along the inspectors’ route to RF controlled areas around the ZNPP but they sure look like a juicy target for a Nato/AFU false flag if they remain on wheels after entering RF controlled territory. A regime that has no qualms about downing an airliner will have no qualms about murdering a dozen or so UN Inspectors.
NATO’s long losing streak continues unabashed, a nail in its coffin every quarter. I can predict with a degree of confidence NATO and the EU’s demise, in months, not years.
As I understand it, 48 tanks is almost 4 companies. That’s a whole battalion.
Some Russian Telegrams say that the offensive was actually a distraction from the real offensive they’ve been building up towards:
“Important! There are messages from local residents from the Kharkiv region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been accumulating equipment and manpower in the Balakliya direction for the sixth day. Perhaps they are preparing a counteroffensive in the area. Perhaps in the direction of Izyum. And perhaps yesterday, the Ukrainian command sacrificed many hundreds of its warriors in the Kherson direction in order to distract from other directions. Yes, stupid, but there is logic even in their stupidity.”
Although, I cannot believe that such a professional and modern army operating so close to home and wary of such possibilities would be totally unaware of any such large scale plans and movements through its many sources and resources. Its a bit different than a few rogue missiles getting through!
They aren’t unaware. They’re giving “hope” to an enemy who feels entitled, Whose worst enemy is themselves.

He is Swiss, worked as expert for Nato, the UN and for the Swiss intel services and even in Donbass after the Maidan and both Minsk, he lives in Brussels.
He often defends Russia because he perfectly understands what happened since 2014(even before),and can evaluate what is happening now(both on mili and eco sides).

Many have gray in their beards and overweight…..look to be conscripted 40 and even 50 year old auto mechanics, plumbers, barbers, dry wallers, etc. Can anyone here imagine people stupid enough to die for the likes of coked up Joolensky and his nato/nazi pals? This really is beyond pathetic. If the Rooskies were decent, they would just take out the west ukie power grid and end the slaughter quickly.
In spite of the “clever” Joolensky and Rooskies, this post is a fail.

This is a deeply impressive video.
Russia made weapons to defend Russia.
NATO made weapons to make “money.”
Russians are using Russian weapons.
Their coordinated military is awesome.
From following various links presented on The Saker, I have come to the conclusion that Russia has the best weapons in world, their own, which they therefore know how to use in the integrated ways that post-modernized warfare requires.
Ukrainian soldiers are being turned into burnt hamburger due to being controlled by people who do not care about that. (Such up close and personal experiences of civilization manifesting runaway criminal insanities are impossible for me to understand.) Furthermore, there are less and less Ukrainian soldiers that know how to best use their foreign weapons that they were given. Hence, Ukrainian bravery has sadly become more and more foolhardy.
The fall of the Soviet Union was one huge regime change operation on the part of the USA. I’m going to give Gorbachev the benefit of doubt and say that he was not in league with the USA in their regime change orchestrations. However, he allowed himself to be outmaneuvered every step of the way. He wasn’t clever enough.
The Soviet Union prior to it’s demise was bad. But what came after was much worse.
Gorbachev’s mantra was “Democracy”. But as another Russian leader once said “Democracy for which class?”
I believe Gorbachev when he said the fall of the soviet union was triggered by Chernobyl.
And, I believe that the fall of the soviet union was mostly due to its own internal problems.
It was rather a controlled demolition. Does anyone remember the dire predictions of Andrei Amalrik of 1969 “Will The Soviet Union Survive Until 1984?”?
Maybe history will judge Gorbachev differently than the nostalgics of the USSR. What if it was a ‘judo movement’ of the ‘siloviki’ (the ‘deep state’), buying time for what Solzhenitsyn saw as the way to ensure the fulfillment of Russia’s historic mission: ”healing its soul, educating its children, putting its own house in order” (and rebuilding its economy with the help of the West!).
This is what he said in an essay of 1974 ”Repentance and Self-Limitation in the Life of Nations”: ”we who boast so much about our lead over others have slavishly copied Western technical progress and unthinkingly become jammed in a blind alley, finding ourselves together with the West in a crisis which threatens the existence of all mankind.
A family which has suffered a great misfortune or disgrace tries to withdraw into itself for a time to get over its grief by itself. This is what the Russian people must do: spend most of its time alone with itself without neighbors and guests. It must concentrate on its inner tasks: on healing its soul, educating its children, putting its own house in order…
We must stop running out into the street to join every brawl and instead retire virtuously into our own home so long as we are in such a state of disorder and confusion.
Fortunately we have such a home, a spacious and unsullied home preserved for us by history — the Russian Northeast. Let us give up trying to restore order overseas, keep our grabbing imperial hands off neighbors who want to live their own lives in freedom — and turn our national and political zeal toward the untamed expanses of the Northeast, whose emptiness is becoming intolerable to our neighbors now that life on earth is so tight packed.
The Northeast means the north of European Russia — Pinega, Mezen, Pechora — it means too the Lena and the whole central zone of Siberia north of the railway line, which is to this day deserted, in places virgin territory and un- known — there are hardly any open spaces like it left on the civilized earth. And then too the tundra and permafrost of the Lower Ob, Yamal, Taimyr, Khatango, Indigirka, Kolyma, Chukotka and Kamchatka cannot be abandoned in despair, given the technological skills — and the population problems — of the twenty-first century…”
“rebuilding it’s economy with the help of the west !”
How exactly did the west “help” Russia’s economy ? with the washington consensus that told to privatize everything (the way Ukraine is doing now) and destroying it’s economy ? the west never “helped” Russia, the money they invested was mainly for resource extraction, the west didn’t industrialize Russia like it did for China/Taiwan.
“healing it’s soul, educating it’s children”
How ? by increasing the numbers of every type of crime ? by creating a surge in child prostitution and a lost generation of gangsters, gopniks, drug addicts ? by introducing western consumerism and pop-culture degeneracy (like p*ssy riot) ? what a load of epyHga.
@Seraphim
Solzhenitsyn was disillusioned with the Western system after his first visit and returned to the USSR.
Russia’s ‘house’ that you’re talking about here also inlcuded all those republics which seceded from the USSR. They were parts of the Russian Empire. It was a tragedy that Russia lost all of that territory.
The USSR’s problems were more related to the failure of their centralized economy and bureaucracy. Western countries would never have supported them to sort out those issues. It was a shame that the USSR wasn’t as pragmatic as the Chinese.
Have you read what Solzhenitsyn wrote about the ‘house’? He speaks only about the ‘North-East’. He takes the pain to enumerate each region.
You should also know that S. was not in a ‘visit’ in the West, but was exiled to. He spent eighteen years in USA (1976-1994). He not only was ‘disillusioned’ with the Western system, but became a fierce critic of it, well before returning to Russia.
Remember the NEP?
Vistula–Oder offensive
*295,000 German KIA
*147,000 German. POW
*43,476 Soviet KIA
*150,715 Soviet wounded
How much would you wager that the Great Kherson Offensive will be less than 1% of these figures?
@Vega ” Oder Vistula 295,000 German KIA
*147,000 German. POW”
OK. Let’s be more realistic. Those numbers were Soviet estimates and yes, perhaps more than half of numbers were true. You see German strength was just around 450,000.
When it comes to Kherson offensive we are talking about modern warfare where there are on average just 5 to 15 soldiers per km2. That’s why Ukie losses might have been perhaps near 1% of German losses in Oder-Vistula. But likely less.
I read in full the report from MoA, very well documented, however, MoA conclusions reveal deep holes in his military analysis.
He starts his conclusions stating what has been common knowledge among military and geopolitical observers across the board,
“…In my view the offensive was launched at the wrong time and with too few troops along too many axes…
Then he makes an assertion he should have not,
“…Two month ago the Ukrainians had already assembled a decent force in the Kherson area. It then started to loudly talk about the upcoming offensive. Instead it should have attacked immediately along one or two axes to make at least some gain…”
The casual way with which he treats such a serious matter as a counter offensive, is revealing of a deep gap in his military formation. “Assembled a decent force…it should have attacked immediately along one or two axes to make at least some gain…”
From his perspective, a counter offensive can be done bunching up “a decent force.”
What does he mean by that?
What is a “decent force” in the context of the confrontation as of now?
Forty, fifty thousand men?
With what equipment?
In what front?
What would turn a bunch of men, an accurate definition of the current Ukrainian Armed Forces, into a “decent force”?
Tanks, artillery, air power?
How many?
MoA continues, then attack “immediately along one or two axes.”
Where at?
“One or two axes,” is that a formula?
The final nail was “to make at least some gain.”
Now, that is some strategic “thinking.”
Ukrainians started talking about a counter offensive in the middle of June, and the first step in preparation for it was to beg the CW for more weapons, more money, more support. Announcements were made the CO would be launched toward the end of July, beginning of August, once the Army felt confident it had received enough weapons to replace their irretrievable losses.
There were never enough weapons, however.
Our invaluable A. Martyanov has touched upon this subject in several videos and posts in his blog, “Reminiscence of the Future,” stating loud and clear no amount of war materiel could have made the Ukrainian army ready for an offensive, one of the reasons being the ratio of destroyed materiel vs newly acquired weapons would always be in the negative.
There is another, more powerful reason, the inability of the Ukrainian Army to put up a Combined Arms Operation at the center, not only of their so much cackled CO, but of their entire military forces.
MoA asserts the offensive should have been launched “two months ago,” approx. the end of June, at which time the Ukrainian army had already lost its operational and functional capacity, from which it will never recover. In fact, we know Ukraine’s Army Forces were defeated in the first two weeks of the SMO, and totally crippled in the first two months of war. What we have been witnessing until now, is the good old CIA/MI6/Mossad, et al, hellbent in turning Ukraine into another Afghanistan for Russia, by sacrificing the Ukrainian people, and serving yet another war on a platter to the MIC.
MoA casually planning a CO with a “decent force” that will “attack immediately” here and there along a couple of axes “to make some gain” is an appalling conclusion to a decent post.

Erm, why are you posting this here?
The correct person to answer your questions is Bernhard over at MoA (which I read regularly, following the Saker’s advice); and obviously I think he’s a good analyst.
But since Bernhard is not here to defend himself, let me try to ‘explain’ his take on the Great Kherson Offensive ®.
Bernhard is a former tank officer in the German Army and has probably learnt — and internalised — the Principles of War of his army, which are probably influenced also by national principles of war of the US, UK, etc, since they are all in Nato.
At the end of his essay, as you say, Bernhard made some postulations — about the Ukrainians attacking earlier, making less noise about the impending offensive, and attacking along limited numbers of axes of advance. Bernhard was thinking like a military man and thinking about several principles of war, namely concentration of force, security, offensive spirit and economy of effort. Since these were not followed by the AFU, he concluded, logically, that the Ukrainian offensive was, as per the title of his essay, a ‘Counteroffensive That Was Destined To Fail’. He also said, ‘I am sure that the Ukrainian military knew that this offensive would fail.’ Here he gave some backhanded compliment to the Ukrainian top brass, something that Andrei Martyanov had also done.
Bernhard had put his military hat on and was looking at the conduct of this particular operation when he said, ‘In my view the offensive was launched at the wrong time and with too few troops along too many axes.’ He’s correct on all counts about the botched ‘operational art’, as it were, on the part of the Ukrainians. I can find nothing in Bernhard’s writing that ‘is revealing of a deep gap in his military formation’ (sic).

Erm, why are you posting this here?
—————————————————-
First, this is the blog I always post.
Second, to the update report of the Russian MoD, they added a link to MoA latest post.
Third, while I am not attacking your guru, you’re getting defensive, I am simply pointing out serious gaps in his conclusions.
In your defense of tanker MoA, you missed the elephant in the room, “Combined Arms Operation.” Added to the vagueness of MoA proposed offensive, any counter offensive would not have work without that factor.
No need to argue about the rest, you’re only parroting the holes in his conclusion.
Enough said.
Lone Wolf
On the contrary it is you who are getting defensive. And there is no need to get hot under the collar. I admire Bernhard but he is hardly my guru.
You post about something published on MoA here on the Saker’s blog and then proceed to diss the MoA author. Wouldn’t it be fairer to Bernhard if you posted your original comment at MoA? Afterall, he extends commenting privileges on his blog.
What was Bernhard’s conclusion? Correct — the Kherson counter-offensive was destined to fail.
“Combined Arms Operation”? Elephant in the room?
You like to bandy terms you obviously don’t understand. Are you using Western or Russian terminology? Perhaps you can tell me what, in Western military parlance, combined arms operations and joint operations are?
Combined arms operations pertain only to land force operations, inclusive of army aviation. In the West it was pioneered by John Monash in France in WW1 when he combined tanks with infantry to fight together as a unit. As you are eminently aware, RF too is conducting combined arms operations with its land forces (it has ‘combined arms brigades’ – as designated by Western analysts — in its Orbat although other brigades can fight as combined arms formations as well) but the SMO is a joint operation as far as Western military terminology is concerned because it also involves the other services ie RF Navy, Air Force and Airborne forces, and not just the Army.
The Ukraine needs a joint operation,
not just a combined arms operation, in Kherson to have a chance, even a teeny weeny one, of succeeding but unfortunately it doesn’t have an air force; so its chances of succeeding is exactly zero.
The real elephant in the room — again, I venture to guess that this basic conundrum must be at the top of your mind when discussing military operations — is the Ukraine’s lack of airpower to prosecute the Great Kherson Offensive, or any offensive operation for that matter. Why do you think the US got or is trying to get, Slovakia to surrender its airforce, all of 11 Migs, to the Ukraine? Why do you think Russia established air supremacy within a week of the start of SMO? If you’d paid attention to the RF MoD’s daily clobber report you’d notice the prominent role of airpower in the SMO. And if you’d paid attention to Bernhard’s articles you would know that he dealt with the question of airpower and the Ukraine’s lack thereof in an earlier essay.

You can stand easy, you have turned a comment into a game of one-upmanship I will not be part of.
Best person to answer your rhetorical questions is A. Martyanov, after which you may understand no counter offensive was possible for Ukraine in the last two, three, four or five months, despite MoA vague assurances.
Watch his videos, read his posts on the subject, entertaining besides illustrative.
Zalushny, Ukraine’s CINC understood that long ago too, reason he’s been at odds with Zelensky and his CIA/NATO puppet masters.
Wonder why MoA didn’t get it.
But neither did you.

Everyone – please close this conversation down as its breaking site rules. Thx. Mod.
Sniping at a credible blogger on another’s blog is uncalled for especially when one has paper-thin knowledge and even less understanding of the subject. It’s a cheap shot. What stopped you from confronting MoA on his blog?
Reading a single publication by Grau and Bartles and being an enthusiastic news aggregator does not make you more knowledgable than Bernhard; it is evident in your comments.
Yes, I will indeed stand easy — I have to feed my cat and I do not want to test Mod’s patience.

“If they want to survive, it’s time for the Russian military to run away. Go home,” Zelenskyy said in a late-night address Aljazeera is reporting*. I suppose the Russians are shaking in their boots right now (sic).

I believe the “West” is also out to trash the Ukraine. What better way to do that than have conscripts run into a wall.
lots of dead boots today, on both sides of the LOC, real shame…..the level of belligerence coming from the Ukraine is over the top…..but credit them with telegraphing a counter offensive, being laughed off, then, well that’s where we are today. In many places they got hammered….but in others gave as good as they got so no walk in the park for either side and unless the LDNR forces and militias mount a counter offensive to take more of or recapture ground, the LOC is immobile, and will remain that way……unless, the Law OF Unintended Consequences comes in to play.
The Ukrainians can not only mount limited counter offensives, they can hold ground long past its ‘sell by date’ and slow any Russian advance, which I believe is the NATO strategy to prolong the war, give Ukraine just about everything it needs to bleed Russia, while the main instigators get off Scot free. Not like economic pain will ever hurt the average Trust Fund elite of the west. Sad all around. Of course Russia is bleeding NATO, so at some point a Mexican Stand Off between two fat ladies who refuse to sing may be in the wings. Stalemate in Chess,
Cheers M
It is so sad that the “West” as we see with BoJo visiting Kiev, pretends it is helping Ukraine while it is causing such massive death and destruction. Right from the start of the SMO, and of course the 8 years before that, Russia warned of the need for negotiations, but “Ukraine” (who is in charge really???) refused.
#gamechanger. Word of the year needs to dissapear on a well earned rest
Looking at those numbers, one should consider this might not have been intended as counter-offensive at all but more like a rather large scale attempt at sabotaging and delaying various logistical processes on the other side of the front line. Kiev hopes to buy some weeks perhaps? For whatever reason. But it seems to have been worthwhile to sacrifice a few hundred soldiers for. A little misdirection added to it. But all it shows we’ve entered a “race against time and season”. Watch those shipments!
WOuld be nice to have video footage of battles and de battleground after the attack. Without proof nothing really happened. Here in the west it’s dark, not 1 western reporter in Ukraine covering the slighted bit of thruth. I’ve never seen anything like that before.
Yet the truth still happens each and everyday, and it really doesn’t matter if it is reported or not, it is still felt in the availability and price of products.
If they get to out of whack, the citizens are supposed to remind the gvt somehow of the job they promised to do, (keep prices down), and the one they are doing.
Go to Warnews247, Greek site, use translate, lots of vids of destroyed armour, Polish tanks seem to have a extra ‘pop’ when they blow, maybe the type of munition used.
If you don’t believe the vids, one can always go and look for oneself.

I do not agree that Zelensky is merely a USA puppet. He personally ordered this offensive against Zaluhny’s advice (notable absence of comments about the offensive). In fact I am of the view that on many occasions Zelensky, in full tyrannical Dictator mode, makes a lot of his own decisions.
I was reading an excerpt from a Pentagon briefing where a question about this offensive was asked. The spokesperson really didn’t have a clue as to what had happened. Ze made this decision on his own.
He is a war criminal that should be put on trial in the upcoming Tribunals.
What makes you think Pentagon staffers are necessarily in the loop being dictated by the US administration and Deep State? Or that Ukrainian generals are more likely to be in accord with CIA diktat than Zelensky?
On the contrary, as usual the generals are far more conservative and (relatively) realistic than the ideological fanatics among the civilian leadership. Zelensky is their puppet, not the Pentagon’s.
The genius Ukies have only just gone and invented self-demilitarisation !
Well, in order to have all the Eurovassals crisis and the wildly failed russophobia charge fixed, we ve got a statement from Olaf Schukruten Scholz that the EU needs and will get a root started, profound reform.
Yeah, they need it in prayers, despair and agony.
However, even to think it in dreams that the R e f o r m will pop up under such a leader as kartoffelian Scholz is a burlesque comedy. Will they rehearse it in Berlin?

If permanent war is to be halted, as Melman writes, the ideological control of the war industry must be shattered. The war industry’s funding of politicians, research centers and think tanks, as well as its domination of the media monopolies, must end. The public must be made aware, Melman writes, of how the federal government “sustains itself as the directorate of the largest industrial corporate empire in the world; how the war economy is organized and operated in parallel with centralized political power — often contradicting the laws of Congress and the Constitution itself; how the directorate of the war economy converts pro-peace sentiment in the population into pro-militarist majorities in the Congress; how ideology and fears of job losses are manipulated to marshal support in Congress and the general public for war economy; how the directorate of the war economy uses its power to prevent planning for orderly conversion to an economy of peace.”
https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2022/08/30/ukraine-and-politics-of-permanent-war/
Until the ideological hold of the warmongers is broken, nothing will change.
“Zelensky and his officials said they would not be sharing many plans about the counteroffensive until after it was complete, citing the need for military secrecy.
Oleksiy Arestovych, a Zelenskyy advisor, said on Monday that Ukraine’s operation would deliberately be slow, partly to save lives.
‘This is a planned slow operation to grind the enemy, saving the lives of our military and civilians,’ he wrote.
He said he could understand that people might wish to see a large operation with a fast victory, but that Ukraine’s funds are ‘limited’ and so the process will ‘not be very fast.'” – Business Insider, msn.com
I believe it’s necessary to watch the transvestite-whore dances of both men (on BitChute) to recognize the contempt with which they said it. Yeah, when funds are limited, it’s hard to recover lands from a bigger power. Germany’s Generals sure would have liked to know how to “grind the enemy” without funds yet saving “the lives of our military.”

❗️🇬🇧🇺🇦The situation in the Nikolaevsko-Krivoy Rog direction
by the end of August 31, 2022
🔻On the third day of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Kherson , the enemy decided to push through the defense of the RF Armed Forces in three sectors at once: in the area of Posad-Pokrovsky , Andreevka and Vysokopole . Near Alexandrovka and Blagodatny (Komsomolsky) , the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not have success, and still do not.
Despite the superiority of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in technology, reconnaissance accuracy, target designation and artillery fire, the hastily assembled reserves on the battlefield showed a complete lack of training and lack of training.
In some areas, the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the militia of the territorial defense units went into battle at full height, being under the influence of psychotropic drugs.
▪️On the Posad-Pokrovsky section of the front :
➖By the middle of the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to push through the defense of the RF Armed Forces near Zeleny Guy , having developed success from Ternovy Pod . Temporarily, Russian units were thrown back to the northern border of Kiselevka .
➖A few hours later, the RF Armed Forces, due to the released mobile reserve from Aleksandrovka, managed to return to their starting line Blagodatnoye (Petrovskoye) – Zeleny Guy .
➖Ljubomirovka (Red Banner) and Ternovye Pod remain under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Soldier and Peaceful in the gray zone.
▪️On the Snigirevsky sector of the front :
➖The Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to attack Blagodatnoye (Komsomolskoye) from the north from Partizansky and from the west from Kiselevka . The Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated after the loss of five pieces of equipment and half a company of personnel killed and wounded.
➖In Partizanskoye , an APU ammunition station was blown up.
▪️On the Andreevsky sector of the front :
➖The Armed Forces of Ukraine threw reserves from armored vehicles and personnel into a suicidal spurt across the steppe. It was possible to advance from Sukhoi Stavka to Kostromka and the southwestern outskirts of Bruskinskoye .
➖By evening, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation regained the initiative, secured the Davydov Brod – Bruskinskoye – Novaya Kakhovka highway and clamped down the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sukhoi Headquarters and Kostromka . The entire corridor from Andreevka is under full fire control of the Russian troops.
➖Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to expand control to the Plotnitsky tract , located east of Lozovaya .
▪️On the Olginsky sector of the front :
➖In the morning, there were reports that Arkhangelsk had come under the control of the enemy. By the middle of the day, the RF Armed Forces launched a counteroffensive, trying to retake the village. There are still fights going on in the village.
➖In Olgino , Russian units are successfully holding the defense. In Vysokopolye , they managed to remove the encirclement and go on the counterattack. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are focused on knocking out reinforcements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
🔻Thus, under the confident control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the Red Banner, Ternovye Pody, Andreevka, Lozovoe, Sukhoi Stavok . Controversial control over Arkhangelsk , Olgino , Vysokopolye , and Kostromka .
The continuation of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine rests on the availability of manpower and equipment. And one and the other is still enough. For the time being, the Ukrainian side can afford to fill up the front with the skeletons of battered equipment and the corpses of drug-doped military personnel.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have already managed to cope with two waves of offensive. We are waiting for the third wave in the best traditions of NATO training manuals.
It seems to me that Russia could have PREVENTED the so called Ukrainian offensive. The question is why it did not. Maybe there were tactical reasons. Maybe Russia wanted it to happen.
That sounds very realistic and is reminiscent of the Great Patriot War. During 1942, the Russians had a lot new commanders and inexperienced troops and were still trying to understand the operational and tactical nature of offensive war:
Order in Chaos – Gen. Herman Balck
“From 9 December through the 17th the days were all the same. The Russian forces would break through at location X. We would counterattack, and in the evening everything was back to normal.”
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23368260-order-in-chaos
What Balck describes there is “mobile defense”, where you allow the enemy to penetrate the front lines deeply enough so that they are vulnerable from the rear and the flanks. And after that you roundup the unentrenched and vulnerable attacking units with your mobile forces. Any Russians that appear trapped or encircled now are just playing the part of the 336th Infantry Division on the Chir River: holding the door open to allow the encirclement of the attacking Ukrainian troops.
I had read a lot of these accounts years ago, naively thinking they would never have any significance in the more advanced modern Western world (I believed the West), so it is really sad to see this happen again. If anyone wants to better understand the fighting in Ukraine, I really recommend going back and reading as much as one can about the Great Patriotic War: all of the towns, cities and terms are the same: “Izium Bridgehead”, “Kramatorsk-Sloviansk Conurbation”, etc.
If you want to see the relevance directly, take a look at the map on the link below, specifically the Ukraine section, from Kharkov to Kherson:
AFTER KHARKOV—RETREAT TO THE DNEPR IV
https://weaponsandwarfare.com/2019/01/25/after-kharkov-retreat-to-the-dnepr-iv/
Exactly the same as the Russian position today, (the Donbass conurbation was called the “tortoise” due to the shape) , so much so that the Russians can just dust off the old 1942 Stavka plans for retaking it… of which I am sure Gen. Shoigu is well aware.
Nothing but profound sadness to read all of that …and seeing it happen before ours eyes today. (sigh)

The color of the beret is the sky. Who broke the “offensive” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On the night of 09/01/2022, the Ukrainian offensive on the southern front is choking. At these moments, ours are being cut down in the Olgino area, practically surrounded by fire, but the glory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not to be seen.
The result of the “advance” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the 1st day is 6 km and 5 settlements. We advanced in our weak spot, where the “mobiles” from the DPR. The enemy put into action “pidrozdil” from 3 brigades trained by the British. Well prepared, motivated, staffed.
The enemy tried to achieve quality in quantity, throwing them into the furnace in the hope that ours would break. He simply did not take into account that in Olgino he was blocked by the 45th brigade of the Special Forces of the Airborne Forces with a military intelligence detachment. “Forty-fifths” were thrown into the place of the ukrov breakthrough. And it was they who broke the backbone of the offensive.
APU went in 5 directions. Olgino – relatively speaking, at the top. To the left, near N. p. Davidov Ford, they gnawed out a 6-km bridgehead and settled on it. The situation is negative for them. If we had expanded the bridgehead and moved on, we would have come out into the open. And so – they got hooked on the bridgehead, got up and now they are being kneaded. They bring in reserves and resist, because Russian paratroopers are on the way.
Three pontoons, which were delivered by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are still standing. I suspect that our specialists are waiting for the enemy to introduce “cream” and burn them. The bridgehead is shot through from any angle, from whichever side you come in.
In attempts to break through to the south, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had zero success. At each section of the breakthrough of the Airborne Forces – the 76th (Pskovites), the Ivanovo regiment, etc. The enemy is thrown back.
Large losses of the APU. Trying to go to the moral-volitional. The fuse is over, the offensive is broken, but they are trying. The third day has passed. Having unwound the enemy’s attacks, you can go further to Nikolaev on his “shoulders”. They nailed them here in a good way. But we have … no one. In this regard, the enemy has a difference, constantly introducing a reserve into battle.
Ukry did everything beautifully conceived: an attack in 5 directions (2 main and 3 auxiliary). A lot of equipment is at Brod and Olgino. They tried to bypass Brod, Belogorka, that they succeeded. They gnawed out the neck of the bridgehead, going with 2 “petals” – bypassing Brody and along the road to Kakhovka. But they ran into a landing, as in Olgino.
Plus, the forces near the corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are concentrated in the Kharkov direction. This story will continue to be. Plus attempts to act in the coal direction. A classic tactic – they test our defense for strength. If they understand that they are pushing through, then after a fire raid, forces are sharply introduced to break through. Where they understand that they will resist, they don’t climb there.

Interestingly, pro-Nazi Western MSM has assumed an equivocal tone in reporting today’s Kherson news. The US/UK presstitutes really come across as if they don’t quite trust the bile fed to them by the Ukrainian General Staff. Many reports even offset Ukie claims of victories by indicating the Russian MoD says exactly the opposite, that the Nazis have been repulsed with heavy losses. That’s unusual for Western MSM, which tends to uncritically parrot everything said by the sainted Ukies.
One MSM article – I think it was CNN – even wrote that US and NATO advisors had trained the Nazis to launch only a “limited offensive,” aimed at accomplishing only “limited goals.” That is bizarre. Since when does US/NATO admit to grooming the Nazis to conduct costly, insignificant offensives? Sounds to me like Western military honchos are trying to shield themselves from blame in the event the Ukies go down in defeat.
Another MSM Nazi fanboy, David Axe of Forbes, seemed noncommittal in the Kherson report he published today. As usual, Forbes frothed at the mouth and waxed poetic over “expected Ukie victories,” but he exuded an undertone of doubt as to whether the Nazis were really making any progress.
Let’s see what’s in tomorrow’s Kherson reports. Based on cross-comparing Russian, Nazi, and US/UK/NATO updates, I think there’s serious reason for believing the Ukies are generally getting stonewalled.
I would love to see this Nazi offensive crumble from lack of progress, heinously high casualties, and loss of morale. That might be a tipping point in this war.

And so what happened today in Energodar. The landing operation Overlordenko was supposed to be the icing on the cake of the Kherson offensive. The Armed Forces of Ukraine prepared it for a long time, trained landings from boats, carefully masked the preparatory measures (which did not prevent our intelligence from carefully monitoring them).
And even though the Kherson offensive operation itself did not go according to plan, the capture of Energdar by a river assault was supposed to neutralize the negative consequences of huge losses and, in general, at the moment, an extremely unsuccessful attempt at a counteroffensive.
As a result, early this morning, 2 barges and up to 30 boats of the Ukrainian landing force began to cross the Dnieper and crossed it directly into a prepared ambush, where Russian Guard soldiers and army aviation were already waiting for them.
One barge was burned right on the approach, parts of the landing force were allowed to land on the shore, pinned down by fire and began to destroy methodically and in cold blood. Now up to 60 corpses of Ukrainian fighters of the most elite units lie on the shore, the beauty and pride of the ZSU. The rest swim in the river and feed the fat Dnieper crayfish.
There were instructors from NATO countries, we will find out after examining the corpses, it is quite possible that they were. In any case, the Overlordenko operation will go down in the golden annals of the most disastrous operations, and drowned men in the form of Zbroynyh forces emerging from the waters of the Dnieper at night will be part of Little Russian folklore for a long time to come.

❗️🇬🇧🇺🇦 Offensive on Donbass: the situation in the east of Ukraine
by the end of September 1, 2022
▪️Ukrainian formations fired at the border village of Gordeevka in the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region , there were no wounded or injured.
▪️The RF Armed Forces hit the enemy positions in Kamenskaya Sloboda, Zhelezny Most and Senkovka and the Chernihiv region, as well as Starikovo in the Sumy region.
▪️Despite the loud discussion of a possible counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army in the Kharkiv direction , in fact, it did not happen even in the media space:
➖Russian missile forces and artillery destroyed several large facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Russian Tishki and Baranovka.
➖Along the entire line of contact, Ukrainian forces stepped up the work of sabotage and reconnaissance groups, some of which were destroyed.
➖The enemy is concentrating forces to Balakleya in the hope of recapturing the settlement during the next offensive attempt.
▪️There are no significant changes on the front line in the Bakhmut (Artemovsk) direction .
➖In Soledar , allied forces are attempting to expand their foothold to the west and south of the Knauf-Gypsum plant.
➖In Bakhmut (Artemovsk) , the Wagner PMC units are engaged in positional battles.
➖Allied forces continue their offensive in the western part of Kodema.
▪️In the Donetsk direction , clashes continue in the suburbs of Donetsk.
➖Ukrainian formations shelled the village of Rubtsy in the DPR, as a result of which 13 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Donetsk Republic were killed and 9 more were injured.
➖Units of the People’s Militia of the DPR are fighting for strongholds on the Donetsk ring road near the liberated village of Peski.
▪️In the Zaporizhia direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine made a suicidal attempt to attack the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant . In the early morning, after massive artillery strikes on Energodar, designed to hide the movement of Ukrainian forces, the servicemen crossed the Dnieper and landed in the northeast of the ZNPP, but were blocked and later destroyed by the Russian Guard and army aviation. The second group set out from Nikopol
a little later on several barges, but the boats were destroyed by artillery of the RF Armed Forces before reaching the shore.
▪️In the Krivoy Rog direction, the RF Armed Forces were able to hold the lines against the backdrop of attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to break through the line of defense of the Russian forces:
➖The RF Armed Forces were able to regain control over the southern parts of Olgino and Vysokopole.
➖There are battles on the northern outskirts in Arkhangelsk , both sides are actively using artillery and aircraft.

❗️🇬🇧🇺🇦The situation in the Nikolaevsko-Krivoy Rog direction
by the end of September 1, 2022
🔻On the fourth day, the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against Kherson slowed down. The enemy suspended attempts to actively advance on Russian positions in virtually all sectors of the front.
▪️On the Posad-Pokrovsky section of the front :
➖Russian troops followed up on Zeleny Gay ‘s success , regaining control of territories as far as the outskirts of Ternovy Podov . Fighting continues for the town.
▪️On the Andreevsky sector of the front :
➖The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to expand the zone of control, despite the losses incurred. Positional battles are going on in the direction of Karlomarkskoye south of Kostromka .
➖Ukrainian units maintain conditional control of the western outskirts of Belogorka . At the same time, the settlement itself, as well as partially Belaya Krinitsa , are under the control of the RF Armed Forces.
▪️On the Olginsky sector of the front :
➖Overnight, the RF Armed Forces regained firm control over the southern halves of Olgino and Vysokopolye .
➖Fighting is underway on the northern outskirts of Arkhangelskoye , Russian units are counterattacking with the support of cannon, rocket artillery, army aviation helicopters and tactical aviation aircraft.
🔻Losses disproportionate to the results of the previous days forced the Ukrainian troops to start a regrouping of forces both on the Nikolaev and Krivoy Rog sectors of the front. The initial plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to encircle Vysokopole, Davydov Brod , Snigirevka and Blagodatny were thwarted by the stubborn resistance of the Russian military.
Artillery duels are currently taking place along almost the entire line of contact. Ukrainian units switched to the tactics of pinpoint strikes against Russian targets in the rear, actively using UAVs for reconnaissance and target designation.
🔻At the moment, there are no prerequisites for a complete rejection of the further offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction. The Ukrainian command is gathering additional forces to carry out another attempt to attack and expand the zone of control, primarily near Kostromka and Vysokopole.
