The video features performance from the Air Day competition by the Russian Aerospace Forces or VKS.
The video also shows an aerial survey of the newest 5th generation fighter jet T-50 PAK FA. The video also presents a carrier-based fighter MiG-29KUB, su-33, combat training aircraft Yak-130, the new fighter su-35S and Tu-95, as well as footage of flights by the “Swifts” and “Knights” — aviation aerobatics groups. The Agency notes that video of the T-50 was made in the South of Russia with the ramp of a military transport plane An-12 by the air operator Pavel Novikov.
Some well executed clips in that short video. Also, the T-50 shot displayed here for the video with that particular 2 tone paint scheme really does the aircraft justice. There is an old saying about how if a plane looks good, it usually flies well and the T-50 is one good looking aircraft.
I would translate the title: The sky belongs to the strong.
Due to enormous landmass & coastline, even a mach 3 fighter is not much good except in the last interdict phase where the dogfight takes place!
So they had better have something like this to do the up-to-the-minute patrolling & detection.
The target has to be timely pointed to for even a 5th-gen T-50.
And of course armed, too.
A puny micro-UAV doing 80 miles per, with a 1-hour battery onboard, survivable to -60C just ain’t gonna do it.
For 3 years already, the pindos have this, so likely now it’s in secret op patrols in the skies somewhere—Syria, maybe, recon work ahead of those rumored land armies soon to be interjected?

A question for some military experts? What is the difference (in abilities) between the Russian helicopters having wheels and tires on the bottoms of the helicopters. And the US helicopters that have what looks like ski’s on the bottom of the helicopters for landings and takeoffs..It would seem to a non-military person that wheels would make moving them on runways easier. But is there some advantage in the structure for one or the other with those designs?
Wheels require a hard surface. Equipped with skids or ski’s would allow them to land on softer surfaces.
Purpose of the wheels in Russian Helios is to enable them to take off with a heavier load in all weather conditions.

Anyone with a partial eye for what they would face as enemies of these guys in a combat situation should truly fear and tremble. This kit is not sandbox. These cats are NOT pussies.
