Sayyed Nasrallah Blistering Speech in Solidarity with Yemen, April 17th, 2015

Wow. Blistering indeed. I clicked through to YouTube to watch this. The translation voice-over is very good but be warned the written transcript seems to be the YouTube machine translation of the translator’s voice, rather than a true transcript. So you will have to listen to it to get it – it’s one hour.

If nothing else you should watch the last 11-12 minutes. Hassan Nasrallah is calling upon the Arab world to hold Saudi Arabia to account for its actions, and to demand that it stop its terrorism.

Here are a few very approximate snippets I wrote down from towards the end. He explains that Yemen finally has made the difference to Hezbollah’s speaking out:

Hezbollah has come late, others spoke before, but we did not speak [during Iraq and other times] … The time has come to speak openly, clearly. To say things as they are…It is time for the Arab world to say to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, “Enough!” … The Takfiri destructive ideology has been taught to Muslim youth by Saudi Arabia…For the sake of [all the attacked nations and massacred peoples]…for all this the world must stand up and say “Enough!”

No amount of terrorism will make the Moqawama back down even one iota from staunchly denouncing and exposing this despotic regime for the crimes it is committing, nor will any threat prevent Hezbollah from standing in solidarity with the courageous and steadfast Yemeni people, who just like the resistance movements in Lebanon and Gaza before them, will undoubtedly achieve victory over the US-Saudi-Israeli scheme.”
