Russia has announced a batch of measures, which will be employed in response to the shootdown of the IL-20 military plane as a result of hostile actions by Israeli F-16 off the Syrian coast.
According to a September 24 statement by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Russia will provide an S-300 air defense system to the Syrian military within the next two weeks. The Russians will also equip all HQs of the Syrian Air Defense Forces (SADF) with automated process-control systems thus providing the SADF with better intelligence and targeting information and integrating it with the Russian military group deployed in the war torn country. Furthermore, the Russian EW system will suppress communications, radars and satellite navigation of combat aviation involved in any attacks on Syria from the eastern Mediterranean.
Local sources and international observers already noted an increase in the activity of transport aviation at Russia’s Khmeimim Air Base in Lattakia. Reports also appeared that at least 8 Su-30SM and Su-35 fighter jets had been deployed allegedly to carry out combat missions in Syrian airspace.
The Russian Defense Ministry also once again mocked the Israeli version of the IL-20 incident during a press conference held on September 24. The defense ministry released a data captured by the S-400 air defense system deployed at Khmeimim Air Base, which shows how an Israeli F-16 used the IL-20 plane as cover against Syrian air defense fire.
“Today’s data no longer suggests, but clearly proves that the blame for the tragedy with the Russian Il-20 aircraft lies entirely with the Israeli air force and with those who authorized this kind of activity,” military spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov stated during the press briefing.
Earlier, the Israeli military had claimed that its F-16 jets were in Israeli airspace when the IL-20 was accidentally shot down by a Syrian S-200 missile.
The decision to supply Syria with the S-300 system already triggered fire and fury in the US and Israeli media. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu phoned Russian President Vladimir Putin asking him not to supply the system.
“The transfer of advanced weapons systems into irresponsible hands will increase the dangers in the region,” Netanyahu told Putin, according to Israeli media. The prime minister also claimed that “Israel will continue to defend its security and its interests.” On September 25, top Israeli leadership held a security cabinet meeting on the matter.
First reports about a possible decision to deliver S-300 systems to Syria appeared in in April 2018 following a missile strike by the US-led bloc on facilities of the Damascus government. Then, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman threatened that Israeli forces would wipe out these systems if they were employed.
On September 24, US National Security Adviser John Bolton also commented on the S-300 delivery to Syria claiming that it’s a “significant escalation” and accusing Iran of the IL-20 incident.
“There shouldn’t be any misunderstanding here … The party responsible for the attacks in Syria and Lebanon and really the party responsible for the shooting down of the Russian plane is Iran,” Bolton told media.
It’s interesting to note how in an attempt to avoid consequences the US-Israeli bloc blames everybody, including Iran, for the incident, which happened during an Israeli aggression against Syria and as a result of the hostile approach employed by the Israeli military toward a Russian air group.
Bolton: all lies, all the time.
The only way the S-300 missile system, developed to defend against aircraft and cruise missiles for the Soviet Air Defense Forces, increases dangers to the region is if hostile nations lose aircraft when attacking Syria, and then it is dangerous only to the attackers.
Israel is crying foul, but Israel is taking a stance similar to a spoiled child abuser who has just been told he can no longer fondle the helpless neighborhood children.
Bolton is playing to an audience that does not have a vote in this matter. Moreover, his statement is illogical. If having a defensive capability is escalation, then perhaps Israel should take the lead in de-escalation by removing all of its “Iron Dome” defensive capabilities.
“There shouldn’t be any misunderstanding here … The party responsible for the attacks in Syria and Lebanon and really the party responsible for the shooting down of the Russian plane is Iran,” Bolton told media.
when did iranian antiaircraft batteries start shooting at russian planes?
“when did iranian antiaircraft batteries start shooting at russian planes?”
Probably on the same day the Russians inked the S400 deal with the Saudis?
I’ll take a guess and assume you’re the same person posting about the S400 deal in multiple articles.
What’s the point of repeating this insignificant information over and over?
The S400 is a defensive weapon. The Saudis can not use it in Yemen and they can not use it in Syria, or anywhere else.
Do you think Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Russia itself or anyone else on their side, so to speak, seeks to attack Saudi Arabia? No they don’t, so the S400 is no issue to them.
Russia has the right to sell their weapons to whomever they choose, even the despicable Saudis. Unless they start giving them bombs, I don’t see what the big deal is.

“In October, Russia sealed a range of arms contracts with Saudi Arabia. The deals include the supply of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, anti-tank guided missiles, heavy flame systems, grenade launchers as well as Kalashnikov AK-103 assault rifles.

UNcivalised will never put out the firestorm of war or not enjoy more murder, rape and bloodshed in the name of their ”god” and their chosenness ,as it is a gift that keeps on giving.Once the hot heads have convinced their uncivilised followers, that they are the chosen ones ,they will led the hot heads lead them happily even to armageddon .Who cares ,uncivilised will rather be dead than not be the chosen ones and own heaven for themselves.
hopefully you are loaded up with pop corn, as stupidity goes heads on with true valour.Expect some fireworks and end of wars in MENA.
It’s sad that 15 Russian Aircrew had to die to force the S-300’s into the hands of the Syrian military.
That being said, their deaths will not be in vain. They are heroes, not the fake heroes like in the US who get medals for helping out ISIS by shooting down a Syrian warplane, but real heroes who defended the weak and who defended the innocent from hostile aggression, and who were not killed in combat but instead were killed by the cowardice of people who are far inferior to themselves.
What can Israel realistically do to the S-300’s? A saturation attack is out of the question, if you ask me, because that would certainly mean that Russian personnel would be in harm’s way, and that would certainly mean a Russian counter-attack. Unless of course, Israel decides they want to start WW3 early on purpose. I wouldn’t put it past them. They are rabid and sooner or later, I’ve no doubt they will shed any remaining sense of common human decency and target Russian personnel directly without even trying to make it look like an “accidental” friendly fire innocent.
The reality is that every Israeli F-16 fighter jet will be in serious danger from the very moment it takes off, especially if it leaves Israeli airspace. Furthermore, the EW countermeasures can cause just as much harm and confusion to the Israeli pilots as a missile launch without resorting to deadly force against them. They can and will still try to conduct strikes, but the risk of losing planes and pilots just increased by an order of magnitude. The Israeli attacks already had a very slight margin of success, with most of their missiles being intercepted on every bombing run.. What will their success rate look like now? I’m guessing almost nothing will get through with the S-300’s active and on top of that, Israel will lose fighter jets at a much more rapid pace. And if there’s one thing the Israeli’s can’t take, it’s mounting casualties. They value their own lives more than anything, and to them, 1 of their own is worth 1000 of the “goyim”.
The Israeli’s could try to deploy EW tech of their own and use more armed drones/ballistic missiles as opposed to risking the lives of their fighter pilots. But I don’t see this as being particularly successful. Drones are easily shot down, as are surface launched missiles. I suspect Israel will continue to throw sucker punches only when they spot or sense a temporary vulnerability, like when they were able to hit the Pantsir-S1 that was reloading and the crew wasn’t paying attention, or like when they decided to destroy the IL-20 because it was vulnerable and the Russians weren’t expecting such a low blow. This is really all they are capable of doing. Weak, pathetic and cowardly attacks only when Syria is vulnerable.
The other possibility is that Israel will go cry to Daddy and try to get the US to conduct airstrikes against “Iranian” targets in Syria instead. I wouldn’t put it past such *compassionate* and *intelligent* folks like Mike Pompeo, “Mad Dog” Mattis, John Bolton and the idiot Trump, who needs a boost in his approval ratings, to approve this kind of reckless stupidity. After all, Syria wouldn’t dare target an American fighter jet, now would they? And besides, America has a boner for killing Iranians and won’t shut the fuck up about Iran ever. Who cares if in reality, we’re actually targeting Syrian military assets in direct support of Al-Qaeda and risking nuclear annihilation in the process — The American people are simply too zombified, brainwashed and braindead to give a fuck.
Israel enjoyed air supremacy for far too long. The playing field just got evened by a very large margin. It’s about damn time. People all over the world, and here in the US, are cheering Putin’s decision. Here’s to hoping they don’t reverse course at the last minute.
Yes, there are a lot of comments about the transfer of S-300 to the Syrian air defense…a game changer…major development…major escalation and so on…but maybe I missed something in all this…Didn’t Mr. Peskov said that “S-300 in Syria aren’t to be used against a third country”? So what S-300 are there for…to collect dust?
Psychologists say that the only acceptable solution to a relationship with a psychopath (Netanyahu) is no contact. No contact means no contact whatsoever.
If Peskov and others in the Russian administration are purposefully exposing gaps in the Russian/Syrian armor and inviting Israeli strikes then how can Russia achieve it’s goal of building Syria back up again to a fully functional sovereign state? Obviously it cannot, which defeats the entire strategy of Russia in the region. Russia cannot be a peacemaker to Israel/Americas war making destructive party if they allow Israel to bomb at will.
“The American people are simply too zombified, brainwashed and braindead to give a f***.”
theyre also bankrupt, underemployed, and badly in personal debt, lack healthcare, and generally are in a perpatual state of depression offset by abusing alcohol and opioids
you speak too highly of the masses. the reason why these wars perpetuate is because you dont see the millions in the streets protesting now like you did in 2003
To put it succintly – F*** Bolton. And with regard to the delivery of S-300s to Syria. About f’******* time too. I get the impression, but I may be wrong, that Putin got a not too subtle push from Shoigu and the Russian MOD to carry out this policy forthwith.
I agree with your comment about Shoigu, Russian MOD, generals…
This was definitely a red line for them. It was easy to see in their briefings. I have a feeling that Putin had plenty to hear from them with regards to backstabbing by ‘partners’ from Tel Aviv. As a result, we are finally seeing something done.
Strangely enough, the behavior of projecting blame onto others can be observed in other spheres as well… Like in politics, for instance… Like today, in America, on any television on this side of the planet…
****ing weird, right?
It is what happens when parents are not allowed to instill discipline into their offspring. Look into the development of that nonsense and no doubt there will be a bunch of (((intellectuals))) whose funding comes from the (((usual sources))).
Had the U. S. leadership responded in a similar manner 50 years ago after the attack on the USS Liberty, the world would be in a very different situation. The Zionist agenda could have been contained back then. Instead, out of cowardice or complicity, President Johnson turned a blind eye to a direct attack on the US. Talk about appeasement.
Johnson knew who really killed Kennedy and he was accordingly so terrified of the American right wing that he let them push him into a war that he knew all along was ridiculous. To the point of destroying his presidency. I suspect this had great deal to do with the way he handled the Liberty issue.
What was it that LBJ said about the attack on the USS Liberty? Something like; “I’m not going to let anybody blame my friends over the attack on the USS Liberty.” Not verbatim but close enough, and thus we learnt years ago that LBJ valued the Jews over the lives of American servicemen.
LBJ did know the names of the JFK assassins, and so did Gerald Ford, and George ‘Poppy’ Bush who led the operation to assassinate JFK, and was seen outside the TSBD building shortly after the event. But things had gone wrong as they normally do and the same team that killed JFK then had to kill LHO and that is where we can identify that team of former SAS snipers.
Joe Vialls/Ari ben Menashe was photographed outside the Texas Theatre holding the shirt of LHO and once the photograph of the LHO shooting is studied properly and then compared with the photographs of Jack Ruby being led along the third floor passage, it becomes clear that Jack Ruby could not have been the shooter, and that again falls to Joe Vialls/Ari ben Menashe.
Normally the SAS teams consisted of three men, and in the case of JFK’s assassins they were Joe Vialls/Ari ben Menashe, the South African Johannes Overbeeke aka Officer William J Harrison and Henry Ayres of Alaska aka Alexander Henri Legault aka Officer Miller as per the Warren Commission. And this is also corroborated by Peter Wright in his book ‘Spycatcher’ on pages 161-2, especially in regard to the weapon used to murder LHO which was first demonstrated to Peter Wright at Porton Down, the same place involved with the Skripal theatrics.
Interesting Andrew – Who or what is LHO?
LHO is Lee Harvey Oswald.
Lee Harvey Oswald.
Lee Harvey Oswald
Snow; “LHO” is Lee Harvey Oswald.
Last week President Vladimir Putin triggered the most serious crisis of his presidency, as the Defence Ministry and the Russian General Staff (Stavka) declared that Putin’s explanation for the downing of the Ilyushin-20 electronic reconnaissance aircraft by Israeli fighters was false, and worse –capitulation to Israel.
Sources in Moscow report the military’s loss of confidence in the Commander-in-Chief has not been seen in public since President Boris Yeltsin countermanded orders for Russian military aid to Serbia under NATO bombing between March and June 1999, dismissing Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov on the US demand.

Helmer’s words should be taken with a grain of salt and a spoonful of sugar with a barf bag handy.
He is a so called Aussie, based in Moscow since 1989 and claims ‘insider’ info.
He has worked for The Australian Financial Review, The Australian, and other newspapers. In other words part of the Murdoch Zionist Presstitude.
We should not be in the make believe business, but the know and fact business.
It doesnt matter what Helmer´s words should be taking with, what matters is whether his words are factual or not.
As Babushka said, he works for Murdoch. Nothing more needs to be said/
Calling John Helmer a presstitute for Murdoch press demonstrates your total ignorance of what he represents.
For example, Helmer was removed from his last job in the mainstream media Globe and Mail for his failure to tow the anti Russian line after current Canadian Foreign Minister (and certified spawn of Nazi collaborator Michael Chomiak) Chrystia Freeland became editor. For years prior to the arrival of Freeland at the Globe reading Helmer’s balanced, intelligent and thoughtful pieces, especially concerning Russia, was an absolute joy.
Chrystia Freeland’s grandad was indeed a Nazi collaborator – so much for Russian disinformation
https://ottawacitizen.com/news/national/defence-watch/chrystia-freelands-granddad-was-indeed-a-nazi-collaborator-so-much-for-russian-disinformation
I include this detail because it tells you a great deal about who John Helmer’s enemies are and what this man is willing to report in spite of the difficulty it can and often does cause him personally.
Here is John Helmer’s wiki though I note it’s been heavily redacted since I last saw it several years ago.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Helmer_(journalist)
Helmer was also an advisor to Jimmy Carter and opponent of Zbigniew Brzezinski. Today he is perhaps the finest English language writer/journalist on Russian affairs, bar none.
If you want to know about the shenanigans of the Russian Elite, Helmer is the only person who will tell you something that isn’t obviously skewed by hatred of Russia. He is thoroughly pro Russian but unlike most other supposedly pro Russian writers he doesn’t do double duty as a propagandist for one or another item on the Russian Atlanticist Sociopath + Rothschild Bankster NWO agenda.
Helmer also claims Oleg Deripaska tried to have him assasinated, helping to explain why supposedly pro Russian alternative media generally prefers to ignore Helmer. Rolling Stone has done a short write up on this particular incident, linked below.
The Near Assassination of John Helmer?

Yeltsinites did not disappear when Putin became leader. They simply morphed themselves and their marketing schemes, making a deal with Eurasianists in the military/security establishment. Putin was the compromise candidate accepted by the security services back then, or so we are told. It might also surprise you to know Tony Blair was one of Putin’s biggest early supporters.
Do you ever note or for that matter search for an explanation for such curiosities Babushka in Oz?
The BBC even stepped in to help burnish Putin’s image in the early 2000’s with a famous documentary featuring Putin’s (100% staged for Russian TV) takedown of Deripaska in Pikalevo. I can no longer find the specific doc (surprise) but everyone has seen the infamous clip where Putin supposedly embarasses Oleg Deripaska by making him sign a document like a disobediant schoolboy before demanding Deripaska returns to him his pen.

Having seen the evolution of the Vineyard over these last 8 plus years I will tell you the most important thing I learned is that people do not so much want to be told the Truth but rather a New and Better Lie — mainly because lifelong consumers of Big Fat Lies prefer to continue avoiding responsibility by consuming Even More Big Fat Lies.
Like… don’t worry, Putin will save us!
Into this void stepped Russian Atlanticist-Internationalists (because Eurasianists are by nature concerned with internal matters) who pressured, bought up or co-opted every non conformist journo-blogger they could get their hands on, eventually cobbling together a Controlled Opposition Alternative media which pretends to be on your side but in fact supports your total enslavement via corporatism, fascism, militarism, electronic currencies, silk roads and etc.
Where-wolf
…Thank you for highlighting my ‘ignorance’ and lack of ‘curiosity.’
I will immediately amend that oversight and start searching for the truth in – Wikipedia, Rolling Stone, the BBC, etc and and all the articles written by Murdoch Zionist sock puppets.
Cheers
Loud and clear. I was waiting so long for some clear headed opinion. RF is not the goodesr boy by default. All in all as every other heavy geopolitical critter RF has a lot of ugly secrets and they like the mericans love dirty games and tricks. It is utter stupidity to think that RF does not have internal issues. It has, a lot of them. And the recent victories in the geopolitical arena do not entitle added value for the every day russian. Vlad and Co need to start implementing reforms really fast because they will loose people support. Primorsky krai anyone?
@antiwars
Thanks for the link. It sounds plausible. Putin´s words about the “unhappy row of incidents” were simply far out and hair raising.
A clear mistake from Putin to refuse sale of the S-300 to both Syria and Iran 3 years ago, and the usual too much admiration of Israel and “our Western partners” on the cost of Syria and Iran.
3 years ago Russia did not have Khinzals operational. Putin’s diplomacy visavi Israel is not admiration as much as treading carefully with extremely powerful and insane entities that can and will harm Russia at will.
TM was the first to announce th delay of the Idleb attack after the Midterms, well in advance.
Will London, Paris and Tel-Aviv be sanctioned by Moscow and Washington?
by Thierry Meyssan
The confrontation which recently occurred in Lattakia may result in a complete global redistribution of the cards. There are two reasons for this, the second of which is being hidden from the Western world. First of all, it cost the lives of 15 Russian soldiers; secondly, it not only implicates Israël, but also the United Kingdom and France. This is potentially the most dangerous crisis in more than 60 years. We now have to find out whether President Trump, currently in the middle of his election campaign, is capable of supporting his Russian counterpart, in order that the United States and Russia may sanction the colonial powers as they did in 1956, during the Suez crisis…
http://www.voltairenet.org/article203086.html
A couple of issues related to this recent Syrian Air Defense Announcement:
1. Israel has a number of informants working inside the Syrian military.
I don’t know if these Zionist agents are high-level personnel within the command structure but in any event, Russia must take the position that everyone (Syrian or other contractors) who is directly or indirectly involved in the operation, maintenance and logistical support of the new S-300 system must have a thorough background check. Anyone even remotely suspect should be dismissed. I write this due to the strong suspicion that someone gave the Israelis the classified flight operation schedule of the IL-20 in advance of its fateful mission.
2. Israel’s security cabinet voted to keep up with the airborne attacks on Iranian military support in Syria despite Russia upgrading Syria’s air defense. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated he and President Putin agreed the deconfliction communication process will continue in the near future.
Does this suggest business as usual for Israel? Has Putin not learned anything about the trustworthiness of his Israeli counterpart? I hope General Shoigu has his president’s full attention going forward and Putin simply gave Netanyahu the answer he wanted to hear with nothing confirmed. Let us hope so.
Dear Poke the Truth,
I originally had a similar suspicion, but it was negated by a couple of moves by the Israelis F-16’s.
For a start the Israelis informed the Russians that they were attacking West Syria which was where the II-20 was patrolling. It was this warning that had the Russians call the II-20 back to base and supposedly out of harms way.
At this stage the Israelis then started to attack Latakia or whatever which caused the Syrians to fire off their missiles, and we all know the rest of the story.
So the first question has to be; why did the Israelis give the wrong information in regard to the location of their attack? The most obvious answer has to be to cause the Russians to order their II-20 back to base and out of harm’s way. I would imagine this was a normal protocol and the Israelis would have been aware of it.
Once those moves were made, then the Israelis would have started their attack, which would again suggest that the Israelis were able to listen in to the Russian commands, or possibly see the actions of the II-20 in ceasing their normal flight and returning to base. Either way it doesn’t matter as the Russians have now moved to cover both situations.
That Israel has a number of informants within the Syrian military is still possible, but I doubt if they would have been involved in this matter, but if they were, then their possibility of receiving their old age pension would be almost zero. Much more likely a .32 to the back of their head.
For a start the Israelis informed the Russians that they were attacking West Syria which was where the II-20 was patrolling. It was this warning that had the Russians call the II-20 back to base and supposedly out of harms way.
The Israelis informed the Russian that they were going to attack North Syria which would be Idlib. Latakia is West Syria. The IL-20 left North Syria and returned to the base in West Syria.
Russia Supplying Syria with S-300 ‘Will Make Things Difficult’ for IDF
https://sputniknews.com/analysis/201809261068337595-Russia-Supplying-S300-Make-Difficult-Israeli/
“Kevork Almassian, the founder of Syrian news site Syriana Analysis, told Radio Sputnik’s Fault Lines about what the decision has potential to de-escalate tensions in Syrian war.
Almassian noted that Israel claimed to be bombing Iranian facilities in Latakia, but instead bombed a Syrian research center.
He said the S-300 delivery “will have a big impact” on Israel because it will no longer be able to bomb Syria from close-by sites like Lebanon or just off the coast, where Israeli jets could be safe from limited-range Syrian anti-air fire. “If these systems were installed in Latakia,” he said, “they have to bomb from Cyprus, or from 200 kilometers away from Syria, and this will make things difficult for the Israelis.”
“That’s why I believe they will start using sophisticated fighter jets, such as the F-35,” which he noted has “more capabilities” than the aging F-16s previously used by the IDF.
Noting that US National Security Adviser John Bolton had described Russia supplying S-300s to Syria as “an escalation,” Almassian told Sputnik, “It’s not an escalation; it’s a de-escalation.” He said the S-300s, by integrating with the even more advanced Russian S-400 systems in use by Russian forces deployed in the country — something the S-200s couldn’t do — the Syrians will not only be able to block Israeli air attacks, but those by the US, France, UK or other actors as well.
But what if one of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, about which US President Donald Trump has boasted much with regards to their stealth capabilities, was downed by this new air defense network? “That means a lot of customers will start questioning the validity and the importance of buying — the value of buying such a weapon,” he said.”
I don’t know the sophistication of infa-red satellites but the heat from that massive single engine on the F-35, assuming it’s not grounded in its hangar, should light up beautifully. I’d park one in geo-stationary orbit.
Any long wave radar or radar coverage on the side or rear of the F-35 where stealth is weaker might also work.
Quite an endearing idea.

Putin Corrects Mistakes by Biting His Tongue On Telephone With Assad and Netanyahu
“[Putin] has blundered with Erdogan, with Netanyahu,” commented one Moscow source. “In making all his concessions, one after another, Putin has been watched very carefully. His civilian advisors – [Foreign Policy Advisor Yury] Ushakov in particular – are making mistakes. They expect[ed] the show of strength in Syria would have changed US and European attitudes, and they would listen. They didn’t. So the Russian military have reminded Putin – we told you so.”

This click bait article by Helmer has been reproduced several times on Saker’s blog.
Does it contravene moderation rule number 10?
10.
states
“People from other blogs or their mates have been using the Saker blog for self-promotion in the comments”
Can you link to this alleged other blog that Where-Wolf (or mates) has come from and then describe in what way Where-Wolf (or mates) is using this blog for self-promotion in the comments?
If not, is there any other way you can describe how this alleged “click bait” could be in contravention of rule number 10?
looked up John Helmer … he has resided in Moscow since 1989 and is identified as a journalist (the author of the “click bait” blog) .. no connection appears to exist between commentator Where-Wolf and John Helmer …mod
Very pre 92 pravda style, Garnny. Are we going back to the old bilshevik ways? The idea of this space is discussion. Discussion from all possible angles. By your toxic attitude I see you are not interested in discussion of all possible scenarios. It reminds me of party lines and other ’70s and’ 80s attitudes and patterns.
Give Babushka a break. Is it wrong to ask a question?
I too have noticed the link(s); at least five times here and in the previous articles discussing this topic. Perhaps the posters didn’t read the comments before posting the link.
I read Helmer’s blog once in a while. Pretty good writing but he has a thesis that is never far from the surface — it revolves around a rivalry between Putin and Shoigu that goes back to Shoigu’s days as Emergencies Minister. Apparently, according to Helmer, Putin wanted to reduce Shoigu’s influence in the country in his capacity as EM and made him…Defence Minister! A bit far-fetched I would think but anyway rivalries between politicians are nothing new. It’s whether they can work together for the good of the country despite their political differences that counts.
In the linked article Helmer discusses the timeline of the RF MOD response to the Ilyushin incident. In it he makes great fuss about the second MoD briefing being held on a Sunday (in Russia) and subsequently makes a ‘deduction’ that it was so because Shoigu and the RF General Staff wanted to catch Putin unawares. He makes little mention of Israeli moves in his timeline, just Putin’s. When I read that I was thinking, Huh? sure, there must have been ‘candid’ discussions in RF MoD post-Ilyushin. Maybe Putin got an earful from his General Staff but is it not possible, and more likely, that the briefing was held on a Sunday because the MoD were reacting to Israeli moves rather than to Putin? These guys run a war-room. Days of the week are secondary in their work. Did not Putin say that the RF response would be ‘noticed by all’ much earlier in the week? Is it not possible that the MoD briefings were a follow-up to Putin’s statement? And is it not likely that the Stavka were in fact following Putin’s direction instead of putting their foot down to their C-in-C?

This is from an current article in Haaretz :
“Israel is convinced of the credibility of the IAF’s investigation and of its ability to persuade the Americans that the IDF’s version of what downed the plane on September 17 is reliable.”
They would just absolutely love to be able to manipulate Russia like they do America.
When they used their bulldozer to crush Rachel Corrie in 2003, US officials inmediately acccepted their “explanation” of what happened and refused to pursue the matter any further.
To date, Rachel’s family cannot find not even 1 US politician or official, who wants to hear them out.
How disgraceful!
Israel gets unconditionsl economic and political support from the US, because the US only exists to do Israel’s bidding!
Russia is giving them a dose of harsh reality.
If there is any good to come out of this tragedy, after half million Syrians killed, millions of refugees and Russian and Iranian protectors ‘legitimate targets’ in Israeli eyes, it will be that Israel is finally held accountable. Like any common criminal, if a country could be sent to jail, Israel would qualify since it carried out the Nakba.
And the fact that Netanyahu is clearly unrepentant, marks him as a war criminal who should in fact be sent to prison or treated the way WWII war criminals were treated.
It would be a great day to see him in a cage, the way Eichmann was treated in an Israeli court.
To those who follow Talmud, all others are “irresponsible”. Slaves should not be able to defend their lives.
Why is there no discussion of French missiles fired at Russian recon plane?
Perhaps because the French ship did not fire any missiles. It seems that the Israelis “spoofed” the missile firing.
It only happened in Joaquin Flores imagination. He postulated a maybe theory and many people accepted it.
Reports of such “editorial flights of fantasy” have to be carefully read.
When he published it, I thought he was too early with the notion.
Ever since, within 24 hours FRN minimized the article.
However, the newbies of blogosphere leapt on it. It had legs, but it was not based, ever, in fact.
Careful how you read, from whom you read, and what you read.
If the Frenchies had fired at the plane, they would be lacking one ship right now and searching for body parts in the Med.
The formula for Truth is easily checked. Did it happen? What would be the reaction of the Russian MOD?
And some think Article 5 would protect a NATO vessel if they did such a thing.
Witness: Turkey’s shootdown of the Russian jet.
NATO ran for the bunkers in anticipation of the worse. They all shouted: Absent, not Present!
Sources in Syrian have stated with high levels of confidence that Israel’s Dolphin class subs were used in the attack. The stealth of a submarine makes it an obvious choice for such an operation. A surface vessel such as the French frigate doesn’t really make sense.
Very likely a weak attempt to deflect responsibility from Israel and confuse the situation. No surprise there, Israel has been doing this for fifty years in the Liberty incident.
The zionazi-gay cw false flag is apparently still on line in Idlib:
Russia accuses European states of delivering materials to produce chemical weapons to Syria’s Idlib
https://mobile.almasdarnews.com/article/russia-accuses-european-states-of-delivering-materials-to-produce-chemical-weapons-to-syrias-idlib/
“Several European states have delivered materials to produce chemical weapons to the Syrian province of Idlib recently, the Director of the Department for Arms Non-Proliferation and Control at the Russian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Yermakov said on Tuesday.
“Many things may disclose in Idlib now. Deliveries of components of chemical weapons from European states were carried out there. It all will re-emerge again soon,” Yermakov said, as quoted by Tass News Agency.
Yermakov did not specify which European states he was referencing; however, his comments remain in line with the Russian Foreign Ministry’s stance on the delivery of chemical weapons to the Idlib Governorate.
Recently, the Russian and Turkish presidents agreed to establish a 10-15km demilitarized zone inside the Idlib Governorate.
Since this Putin-Erdogan agreement was announced, the hostilities in the Idlib Governorate have dissipated, despite the rejection of this demilitarized zone by the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party.”
The zionazi-gay Il-20 provocation was part of a strategy involving a cw false flag in Idlib. This op appears to be still being pursued, though modified since Syria didn’t begin a major push to take back Idlib.
This strategy also explains the lack of coverage in the Il-20 provocation in the zionazi-gay media (remember the 2008 Georgian war, the zionazi-gay media didn’t cover the initial Georgian invasion, only the Russian response). It also explains the israeli continued lying about it.
Why do you always include “gay” in your posts?
Doe, because the Fake Left campaign harder for Homosexual Rights than for Workers Rights. It’s called Identity Politics and is a handy stick with which to beat Iran, Russia and any other group who prefer normal sex and normal family relations.
VT may be influenced by the heavy gay population of the zionazis in Kiev, I’d assume. Also, the Liberal, Global Cult is festooned with “gay” deviants. It’s a kind gesture to use their own self-describing appellation. I prefer freaks, but that’s just my way of saying abnormal.
Historically, nazis were populated by such deviants. So, he’s just using a correct, up-to-date form of the descriptive.
It actually is quite kind, if comic, to so describe these freakish terrorists who hate the normal and traditional.
Because many of the main actors in these propaganda wars always turn out to be Nazi and Zionist and Gay. I have no idea why but there it is.
“Because many of the main actors in these propaganda wars always turn out to be Nazi and Zionist and Gay.”
That’s pretty much it. :-D
It’s an odd predisposition, but it’s there.
Funny $hit, man! I mean it’s incredibly sad.. (my heart is heavy for what has become of society, of so many wonderful people I share this land with.)
Why I like frequenting this blog (about 50x a day checking for updates, new comments) brutal honesty, real talk, informative analysis. I also frequent Southfront and 0hedge.
What are some others I should find useful, and with quality commentary such as this and SF (the hedge has gone down in quality considerably since earlier this decade, been following them since around 2010).
I’m humbled to have these tools at my avail and also to have the ability to communicate with like minded people, some whom I have immense respect for. I was sharing info, posts on my Facebook page for many years going back to early years of the conflict in Syria but got very little feedback or support so I don’t bother on Facebook anymore whatsoever. I enjoy writing very much.
Just saw this at Sputnik:

Already? Wow, that S-300 must be something, after all.

“The transfer of advanced weapons systems into irresponsible hands will increase the dangers in the region,” Netanyahu told Putin, according to Israeli media.” Yep! no doubt that will increase the dangers for the Israelis they might not be able to keep killing with impunity any longer, what a pity no?
Just a loose thought, everybody keeps telling of the vulnerability of the Russian millitary in Syria due to its small size that keeps Putin unable to respond to the killing of its people there. Well, why not provide with the best of the best of the Russian arsenal to Syria and Iran that seem to be the only “partners” not wanting to harm Russians there? I mean that out of common sense and again honest concern for the Russians there.
President Putin tried to make mealy-mouthed excuses for the outlaw apartheid settler state, but was thankfully overruled by the Russian military. This is evident from the sharply contrasting statements of the two sides. One also remembers how the genocidal Israeli PM was warmly feted in Moscow and was given a prominent place in the March of the Immortal Regiment alongside President Putin. This dishonorable action was a direct insult to the millions of Soviet soldiers and citizens who gave their lives in the struggle against fascism in WW2. One cannot recall a single word from Moscow recently that condemns the extermination of the Palestinians by the Zionist state. How one misses the USSR of old which took a principled stand against imperialism! The demise of Soviet Russia has proven to be catastrophic not only for the Russian people, but also for the countries that are oppressed and exploited by imperialism, for with her death, their friend and protector was gone.
The gringos do not have shame when say so many lies.

World War Looms Over Syria – September 25, 2018
Steven Ben-Nun says very interesting things, among others: …”every nation is allowed

“The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council made the statement following recent Israeli attacks on facilities in Syria, which it believes supply weapons to Hezbollah.
A senior Iranian military official has warned Israel against attacks on Assad-affiliated forces in Syria on Thursday, citing a “regrettable” reaction if it goes ahead with military action.
“The Zionist regime is seeking to stabilize crisis in Syria and has taken measures in direct support of terrorist groups and for hitting the Syrian army and the forces fighting against terrorism,” Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, was quoted as saying by the Tasnim news agency as he met with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev in Tehran.”
A conundrum…..if Russians man the s300..would they use them against IDF planes that were about to attack Syrian or ” Iranian” assets (not just primarily to protect Russian operatives)….presumably if manned by Syrians they would use them against IDF as clearly proved by their recent actions…… will Israel be party to knowing which are to be operated by Russians…..or deliberately not informed to prevent any actions by IDF against anything and anyone in Syria?
Fantasy???? To continue to justify their actions in Syria..note ..but proven it was SAA facility destroyed the other day in Syria..not Iranian
.
“Prime Minister Netanyahu has made new allegations about Iran’s alleged nuclear program during his speech to the UN General Assembly on Thursday.
The Israeli prime minister claimed Iran’s ‘secret warehouse’, just a few kilometers away from the site raided by Israeli commandos last year containing an alleged atomic archive, has additional materials and equipment related to an atomic weapons program.
“Today I am disclosing for the first time that Iran has another secret facility in Tehran, a secret atomic warehouse for storing massive amounts of equipment and material for Iran’s secret nuclear weapons program,” Netanyahu said.
“Just last month, they removed 15 kilograms of radioactive materials” from this facility, Netanyahu added, claiming that this material has been spread around Tehran, endangering the city’s residents.
According to the prime minister, this second site could have contained as much as 300 tons of nuclear-related materials.”
So Israel made an illegal commando incursion to Tehran region…..aint that enough justification for Iran to respond??????,

“It is also possible that under the direction of the US, France and Israel hoped that by attacking a Russian aircraft, a disjointed reaction from Moscow would have been provoked, escalating the conflict and providing the US and her allies the opportunity to enter the Syrian conflict directly. The downing of the Russian II-20 would therefore have been a planned provocation. Fortunately for the rest of the world, Moscow maintained a calm attitude at that moment, and together with Syrian systems, virtually knocked down or diverted all the missiles fired. Israel used the larger radar cross-section of the Russian Il-20 to screen its F16s, thus deceiving the Syrian S-200 defense systems and causing the downing. As TASS reported, Israel did not respect the agreements reached with Moscow regarding the rules of engagement. Tel Aviv warned Moscow only one minute before attacking, leaving little time for the Il-20 to move to safety and land in Latakia. Specifically, the words reported by official Russian sources leave little room for interpretation:”
——————————————————————————————
Think this was planned provocation,(as usual) to counter the deal between Putin-Erdogan, about Idlib, for to unleash a main US/Nato attack upon Syria, Moscow must thread carefully , and handle both the Nato provocations and Turkey´s today weak position, to reach results. So far this seems correct, even if the
Russian general staff doesn’t agree, for the moment. But they will, I think, and now the Israeli/US tricks are revealed, once more, they are as squeezed as the rebels in the Idlib, da capos is impossible. But Russia learned a lesson and got bloody nose.
Small nations as Israel must use tricks to compensate for their lack of strategic depth, and manpower. Israel in Scandinavia = Finland, 1918-1944. They used tricks, 1-2 times, but Stalin claims after the Winterwar, 1939/40,(April) that they(Finns) instead need a modern army, not Mannerheim-fortifications on the Carelian peninsula, but they lacked, airforce and tank divisions. Then Stalin said: – ” But we have defeated not only the Finns, but all their foreign supporters, arms, London/Paris/Stockholm/Scandinavia, and their advisers. ”
All those arms the West needed for themselves, may 1940, France/Dunkirk/BEF- Brexit, they instead delivered those to Finland, using them against USSR, and supported the German attack, 1941. Like they
sold Czechoslovakia down the river,1938/39, and Wehrmacht was then 1940, in France, mainly equipped with good Czech-arms. Like the Libya disaster served the Daesh.
And the Red army hadn’t showed their real strength, and arms. Finland sticked to Germany,as Israel to U.S., and even to Sweden trying to throw even Sweden into the Winterwar, and the “Continuation war”, called so because it really continued, and continued, against the Finnish designs, was meant to be a Military “Summer-War” walk to Moscow, “Separate War”, (as the German planned) first the “Winterwar” and so on….
(*When Germany use their Wehrmacht (1941) as a long train with the locomotive in front, they met the Red army driving with the locomotive as the last vehicle, on the same track, and when the Russian wagons been destroyed, the Real Red army-locomotive appeared, more strong than ever, during the WW2 1941-1945. A good metaphor.)
Then Finland joined the Nazi-train, and could have been “an Israel”, here in the North, an aggressive and boundless nation as Israel, Third Reichs guard here, but not that appreciated of their neighbors, as Israel. But the defeat 1944, crush those designs, they were in four wars, 1918-1944, before this was a peaceful corner, but then came the Finns, as Israel in the Middle East, with a need and purpose to create a nation myth, and national wars serving such goals.
I think it will be the same result in the Syria war, but will take some time, taking care of both the rebels lifes, and the Syrian army people. Like to domesticate, curb Finland, from 1945, the Russians the only ones able to do that, and now they functioned as a mature nation, but the “East going West”. Its not magnifique, but can stand a historical judgement, some day, the Vietnam war, cannot. But of course no-one talks about the Libyan disaster (2011) in the West, just silence. There’s something wrong with the West´s politicians, been since 1914, they never learn, to be peaceful, they always use “tricks”, possible with the power now of both Nato and the EU.
Of course, Dear moderator, here the link comes, I came across by chance, through Sputnik, kind´a Webjournal with interesting comments.

My point: Israel and Finland as s.c. “rookie”-nations. But remember even USSR was a rookie-nation(system) 1918, so two rookie-nations with common borders can spell problems. Finland was a part of Czar-Russia, to 1918, and became independent through the Bolshevik revolution, complicated materia, to deal with, and Israel carries the Holocaust in her memory, foundations, we cannot imagine, but the European Jews was despised of the Zionists, when they without resistance went into the ghettos and KZ, WW2, and so the Jiddisch language was scrapped. But we must understand what drives people, but not as an excuse for doing wrong things.
