The New York Times biased in favor of Israel – even the Washington Post? Whoever heard of such a thing!! Certainly not Thomas Friedman or Charles Krauthammer.
What’s this? Jewish power exists – in the United States no less. And it bends policy in direction that does not redound benefits to America per se? Surely, the Shah has spent too much time talking to the tinfoil hattters in trailer parks and other cultural backwaters.
Ask any educated person in America and they will tell you this is hogwash. To the extent that Jewish power exists in America it has only served noble causes such as promulgating the civil rights movement and ensuring the protection of minorities and freedom of speech. For centuries, maybe millennia, Jews have served as light unto the world and their only reward has been persecution by irrational and hateful goyim.
Even Israel has served as a shining beacon of enlightenment to the benighted middle east. Prosperous, free, and democratic, she is hated not for what she does for what Israel stands for. And to whatever extent America has favored Israel, it is only been because Israel has been America’s loyal servant. To whatever extent Israel has appeared to be aggressive, it is only because she is surrounded by hostile Arabs who would do her harm.
Only conspiracy kooks and bigots would see it any other way. I know this because I have taken a number of courses in diversity studies, diaspora studies, and Jewish studies. And believe me when I tell you no educated person in America – except maybe for those two Harvard professors who plagiarized from neo-Nazi and white supremacist hate literature – would disagree. Seriously, ask any educated person and they will tell you for sure that I am right on this count. There are many different opinions voiced in academia, but this is one thing on which almost all the experts would agree.

No doubt, you now can proudly claim the much coveted title ‘educated person’ and since none of your courses ever addressed this issue it is all, as you so aptly put it, hogwash.
I thank you for enlightening us all with your well-substantiated, logically constructed and brilliantly exposed argument.
As Israel is to the Middle-East – so are you to us: a shining beacon of enlightenment! Please come back and post more often – we need you here!!!
@doug: you might well be right, who knows. As long as I do not see a smiley or something I assume the poster is real. Not to mention that I heard that kind of nonsense quite often, including by one poster on this blog who regularly posts the most surreal kind of politically correct stuff. I thought that I recognized his style…
Anyway, I wish people would sign their post with any kind of handle, without even sining in, just so we would not have to deal with anonymous1 anonymous2, etc.
@anonyous2: if you intended your post as a satire, blame my response to my lack of humor and to my all too big exposure to assorted doubleplusgoodthinking morons…
Well, the best satire walks that, sometimes too fine, line. Which is why I am not completely certain it’s satire. Also, I’m not familiar with your commenters and you know them best. It just seems to be a tad too “surreal.”
@doug:well, I suppose our only hope is that anonymous2 will fess up to his real intentions. It’s not going to be easy if he actually did mean this seriously. Either he admits it, and he knows we are all going to marvel at his/her stupidity or he denies it and he will thereby betray his dearly held (and presumably earnestly learned) beliefs.
To be or not to be, etc. etc. etc.
:-))
Seriously, I have seen that kind or ‘arguments’ made so often that I sadly *assume* the guy is dead serious and sincere. The only part which I really thought was hilarious, and thus possibly a joke, was the idea of the (always magnificently dressed) Shah taking a stroll amidst US trailer parks discussion the Jewish lobby with a bunch of rednecks, dressed in ‘wife-beaters’ and camouflage pants LOL!
Anyway, @anonymous2: YO!!! WHERE YOU SERIOUS WITH YOUR POST?!
This post is for the so-called “educated” anonymous.
Jimmy Carter was asked in an interview by an american journalist about why israel was and still is to be aided by the billions in monetary and weapons terms. He responded saying that none of the prominent congressmen or the senators would ever be elected if they cut the aid.BEACON of Middle East huh…. What a joke
PS.. As a kurdish muslim with a more open mind but decisive actions, I consider the so-called “educated” ones bunch of morons, since almost all of them lack the ethical and morality cohesion, with UNITED STATES leading the way with coward EUROPEANS.

The Saker
Saker,
I think anon’s post was intended as satire. If I’m right, that it wasn’t recieved as satire makes the post even more illuminating.
