The US Navy has admitted it has a tough time detecting Russian subs. Some years ago a Russian sub sailed along the Californian coast, and the US Navy had no idea it was there.

Subs are a strategic part of a an arsenal. They can inflict tremendous amount of damage. I trust the Pentagon knows this. However, does Wall Street ? Is it steal dreaming of a sneak attack against Russia ?

According to this video the Russian Navy has a long way to go. It needs bases to support global submarine deployment, its subs are noisy, and the sub armaments are inadequate. Fortunately, it appears that Russia is hustling to correct the situation.

This video is somewhat misleading. Russian subs carry high tech missiles, including cruise missiles. They can dive deeper than US subs. They are also very quiet. As I wrote above, some years ago a Russian sub sailed down the Californian coast, and the US Navy never detected it.

When the Argentinians invaded and occupied the Malvinas (Falklands) in 1982 the Brits sent down a single submarine and declared a 200 mile exclusion zone around the islands. This was enough to send the Argentinian navy rushing for home and a major warship of theirs, the Belgrano, was sunk (even though it was heading for home at the time).

I couldn’t help but wonder if a single Russian submarine off the Venezuelan coast might not have the same deterrent effect on any US naval plans for that region.

There again I am not suggesting the Russians would sink a US warship but maybe just knowing they could be attacked might have the desired effect on any naval US forces.

“a major warship of theirs, the Belgrano, was sunk” The Belgrano was sunk outside the 200 mile exclusion zone. It is called a war crime. But, as we know, Anglos are quite used to commit war crimes that go unpunished.

See neither a link to the Southfront source of this video, nor a transcript of the material. Here is the source link for the video at Southfront:

Russian Nuclear Submarines: Weapons Of Global War

    https://southfront.org/russian-nuclear-submarines-weapons-of-global-war/

    The transcript is there.

Regarding the claims by the author about Russian subs being easy to locate, no source is given. Earlier Russian subs were noisy, but from the 80s on that went down dramatically. Material by western military experts, in the military sphere, I’ve read from the late 80s on concluded Russian sub stealth was equal or better than western.

Regarding the Bulava tests, the author made it seem like the missile was a failure by implying it is still failing tests. Recent reports I’ve seen make it clear the problems have been over come.

One other thing, the author noted that the later subs use titanium in their construction, yet only passingly mentioned one advantage of this, the reduced magnetic signature. No mention was made of the deeper diving capabilities of Russian subs and how this aides in neutralising western anti-sub counters and detection.

Finally, the author claimed there were not enough Russian attack subs to adequately shadow nato and implied the Russians were not doing enough to rectify the problem. Horse manure.

They are. Interesting the author failed to mention the new sub drone Russia is developing. Given the role envisaged for it as part of the Russian nuclear deterrent, that omission on the part of the author is rather revealing. But even worse, it excludes another obvious role for this weapon, what will likely be the Russian solution to not having enough modern subs to counter the zpc/nwo sub fleet one on one. The drones are an ideal way to provide the necessary lethal shadowers at a fraction of cost and shipyard space, both of which Russia is too short of to match the zpc/nwo colonies in regular subs.

Conclusion, 50-50 rating for this Southfront report. Some useful general info on Russian subs, their numbers by class and basing, accompanied by a lot of unsourced, also very general material, which appears to be derrived to a large extent from biased western sources, IE: useless.

The Five Slimy Eyes have sea floor listening devices which can detect the smallest of sounds, except Russian submarines, this was proven not long ago when a Russian sub surfaced in the St Lawrence Sea Way and took on fresh water. Also recently, one surfaced off the US eastern seaboard. Do the Russians have clanky noisy subs, absolutley. It`s the stealthy ones that cannot be detected that keep the Slimy Eyes up at night.
