“The Iranian Foreign Ministry asks Brussels to explain to Trump that it is time to stop. The same goal was pursued by the symbolic blow by Tehran on the American Ain Assad Air Base. It was captured by the Americans back in 2003 with the help of the Australian special forces. In recent years, it has become a kind of “hostel for NATO”: the UK, the Netherlands, and Canada have deployed their troops there. Last night, Norwegian troops were almost caught under fire. The Pentagon was planning a massive reconstruction of the base in order to deploy B-52 strategic bombers there.”
This new Vengeance-for-Soleimani torch seems to have a very weak flame. In fact it doesn’t even seem hot enough to light the Israeli flag in the pyramid-shaped Iranian parliament, as is occasionally done for the US flag. Is this even for real or just another Kissinger-designed ruse to keep the conflict going forever?
Just be patient.
Now it’s Hizballah’s turn, and of the other proxys. I hope USA will be out of ME soon and than finally the racist Israhell gets its slap and a kick and a final stab.
Lots of theater, quite a puppet show for all the children of the world!
The Orange One who said we never should have gone in and need to leave now, needs to do so in a way that will gain votes….not lose the 2020 election.
The Iranian leadership has similar concerns, about their domestic audience.
Hope resides in the fact that they and DJT may both have the same goal…the US leaving…… just different theatrical requirements for their different home audiences.
I just don’t see US-MIL walking away from the oil in Syria, Libya, or Iraq. They stole it fair&square.
So they ‘leave’ just means they have to hire ‘blackwater’ mercs at $250k/year to man the oil-fields and other such stuff, but still the US-MIL needs this oil, so they still have to get it out of there in hired trucks, or pipelines.
They could just designate all oil-fields as ‘green-zones’ which is the new word for Embassy, say the GZ in Iraq is 5sq-miles and the one in afghan is 10sq-miles, not even an embassy, how about calling them citys?
In these GZ’s everybody has diplomatic immunity, nothing in&out official by US-GOV can be searched, mecca for child-sex, and drug running.
USA told Iraq if it leaves and they pump the oil, then USA gets 1/2 the profit, and the Iraq gov refused the deal :(
Right, the Iranians don’t seem to know how to take advantage of this small victory. From what I’ve seen the Iranians have increased in popularity across the Islamic world. Now is the time to put more pressure on the US and it’s allies to get out. The Iranians have been in the region since the Bronze Age, they are not going anywhere and they most definitely will not be eliminated. But they only really have two futures, either become the dominant power/empire in the region or be humiliated. Also yes I do believe this is a game of empires, the past will not and cannot be erased, our ancestors either nourish and strengthen us or haunt us, this applies to all people’s be they historical losers or winners. All this talk of nation states, national sovereignty and self determination is bullshit created by autistic Germanic serfs and their slave morality.
Wow! B-52 bombers are about the fattest, juiciest targets that a drone or cruise missile could wish for. Very difficult to protect or even hide, too.
Psssst, hush! Do not tell the best army of the galaxy that there is a difference btw. bombing some primitive tribes or unarmed civilians and a proud nation with capable leaders who prepared for a war their country for more than 40 years….
The B52’s are now stationed at Diego Garcia, most probable out of reach.
But hey, some months ago the Iranian airforce has shot a high-tech drone of the US dryly out of the sky (I can imagine the pale faces in the Pentagon and at Raytheon), I guess they can do that with a B52 too when it enters their airspace. So this is merely symbolic.
Just saying ;-)
