Dear friends,
I will be gone most of the day and unable to do much besides moderating comments from my car. If I get SITREPs today I will post them this evening. I just wanted to let you know that I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the hell was really going on at the Lugansk airport and my best guess is that the Ukies are still on control of it and that they are still surrounded. I am extremely unsure about that as both sides continue to claim that they control it. My best guess is that a Ukie column did succeed in breaking through the Resistance positions and join the Ukie forces at the airport, but that it was greatly weakened by numerous Resistance attacks and that the airport is surrounded again. In other words, the Resistance statement that the airport had been taken appears to be false.
I have see no fresh news from the “southern cauldron” or from the Donetsk airport. Two Russian paratroopers were apparently killed by Ukie fire on the Russian border. That’s all I have right now.
See you all this evening, now the thread is yours.
Kind regards,
The Saker
Did you really mean two Russian paratroopers? That would be a casus belli.
What were Russian paratroopers doing so close to the border? I smell some overt intervention in the works.
Any insights on why the resistance didn’t win back the airports sooner ?
Condolences to all the families and friends of those dead and injured in the Moscow Metro. I hope you are well soon.
I think the video (“Geopolitics has no room for emotions” ) was talking directly to you Saker: (I should add: “only room for cold numbers”… “and letting thousands die to save millions”- as that great American Psychopath Robert Mcnamara once put it). I’m glad you’re finally coming around to that conclusion, it’s been quite a journey for you between your heart and your head. Well the heart and head should be on the same page if you consider the below.
It’s not only stupid to destroy the lives of millions in order to save thousands but it’s unethical, a dereliction of a leaders duty and a SIN.
Also I loved the statement in the video that calls on armchair strategists to get off their backsides and go participate themselves in the conflict if they feel so strongly that Russia should directly intervene I think that’s very appropriate.
Glad to see somebody out there (the maker of the video) that thinks with his head and thinks strategically instead of tactically. No direct intervention makes sense at this moment.
That said, Russia has cannot hide behind the reasoning in the video to avoid providing substantial covert aid to the Donbass patriots. As well, Russia needs to decisively gather hard evidence on the War-Criminals as well as launch a massive and decisive media campaign in the languages of NATO citizenry to make it clear who the aggressor is and the atrocities committed. Because strategically and ethically speaking to not provide such aid and accountability would be the height of stupidity. Not doing so will only invite murder and provocation into ‘official’ Russian territory and invite further EU/NATO instigation in other Russian satellite states.
Behind the scenes most of Europe understands exactly what is happening and will rely on Russia to solve the crisis in the long term.
The only question is if a wider war can be avoided.
To the extent that a wider war develops, that is America’s choice.
To the extent that a wider war develops, that will be America’s downfall.
It is confirmed by both pro-NAF and pro-Kiev sources (i.e. Colonel Cassad and Live AU map)that some of the supply column broke through to the airport after militia attacks, and also that the Coup troops were too weak to hold open the supply corridor to the airport, resulting in it being abandoned. The videos you showed yesterday are only a selection of the pictures available online that I have seen of the losses scattered along the corridor from militia attacks. The pictures I’ve seen include an APC, a burned out truck, an overturned supply truck (presumably the goodies in the field were eagerly picked over by NAF), a Bulat modification of the T-64 and more.
The shootdown of the AN26 yesterday at a height of over 20,000 feet has Kiev afraid of the Strela systems they lost in Donetsk and/or the S-300’s rumored to have shown up in militia possession.
The Ukies cannot keep a ground relief corridor open to the Lugansk Airport. The airport is surrounded by the NDF. Eventually the Ukies will run out of supplies & will have to surrender.

I think the 2 Russian Paratrooper who were killed were most likely fighting in UA and transferred to Russia..and now Russia is claiming they were killed by a mortar round in the Russian border..doesnt add up.

Russia is going to pretend to attack all the time, so that Porky and friends, will become the boy that cried wolf.
How many times have we heard news from Kiev, that the Russians are coming?
My take is that the Russians are trying to make the Ukraine go broke, and getting Kiev to spend all their monies on armaments to fight an insurgency, while they ignore getting their finances in order, is a sure way to get this happening.
Prayers for the families of the dead and injured in Moscow Metro derailment. “Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection.”
Lately I’ve been noticing an interesting pattern in the manipulation of human “forgiveness”. A number of Hollywood movies recently made, some in the theatres and to be released, have to do with incredible cruelty and brutality perpetrated by evil persons against another — mainly in times of war — and then the victim later FORGIVES his perpetrators. Two movies specifically that share this theme: The Railway Man and Unbroken. The message is mans ability to survive and forgive ones enemies through strength and regeneration — a lesson of faith and redemption brought to you by the Hollywood faithful.
The timing of these movies is interesting, non? We are being conditioned to “FORGIVE” evildoers. Those who have done and continue to do evil to us, others and mankind. Think of this in terms of the uncovering of 9-11 Truth, Pedophile rings, ZOG brutality and killing of populations worldwide in the name of “war on terror” or “hearts and minds”. Tick, tock pilgrims.
Each day I struggle to grow in GRACE. To understand my progress toward TRUTH. And to wake-up from the lies which I once accepted as true. To separate myself from the “sins of the fathers”. The sins of my government. Sour grapes indeed.
To be forgiven one must relinquish all belief in sin. It means no more lies. Sin is punished as long as the belief in sin lasts. It’s impossible to “forgive” something that clings to evil beliefs. The only thing one can actually DO is separate ones-self from those lies and follow truth. That’s the real message. And that’s the road which led me here.
The concept of “forgive and forget” is essential to a WHOLE life. It’s the basis of ones OWN redemption — not another’s. To forgive is to “give-up” or “let-go-of”. To shed something. An example is my giving-up illusions about “American exceptionalism”. To forget is to “cease remembrance of”. To literally un-see it as part of ones human history. Together “forgive and forget” is a powerful antidote to suffering. It means that the sin NEVER HAPPENED. It’s more than mind-jitzu. Or lying about ones past or actions or habits. It’s an absolute renunciation of everything to do with the lie and to relinquish (give-up) all remnants or material benefits of the lie. Those who continue to believe the lie — to seemingly benefit from its evil in any way — continue to wallow in evil — and are NOT forgiven. Forgiveness of sin is the destruction of sin. Period.
Following Truth is the basis of our human steps toward forgiveness. Choosing good is living within that moral framework. Evil has no place to hide. Certainly not behind movies made with messages from elites fearful of retribution for their sins against humanity.
End of sermon.
Sending floodtides of love to suffering hearts everywhere — including Ukraine, Gaza and Moscow.

Burial ground of two priests and their sons was uncovered. Modus operandi of godless psycho junta goons.
As for the dead paratroopers, it is entirely possible that they were over on the other side, perhaps scouting. If they were fighting with the militia, the bodies would be “washed” like the U.S. does. You simply announce they died in a training accident. You don’t throw them out in the open and leave questions about their activities. The U.S. would even run equipment over the corpses if that was what the case required. Don’t want the family to think it wasn’t an accident.
This is getting to be a sticky time of the conflict. Both sides are into hiding the truth.
The latest photos, held back until now, of the 24th encampment that got obliterated, show bed framess, tents, and 20 or so vehicles, mostly trucks. Thus, they area so far shown was probably the regiment that did supply. The mass of fighting vehicles of the motorized battalion are not shown. Tanks and BMPs are but a few. There would have been 50 or 100 if the battalion was there. The claim of 50 dead and 100 wounded, though seems very reasonable. The full force of the 24th was at least 1000, maybe 3000 men, and they may be severely hurt by that attack, but it does not sound like all the elements of the battalion were there.
Without good Intel, we get narrow slivers of what is going on. We see three vehicles yesterday, though all the news services say nine vehicles were destroyed in that encounter. It could be a few miles down the highway or it could be fiction.
Fog of war, propaganda, or obfuscation.
Keep your powder dry.
It will twist and turn many more times.
Russia won’t do anything overt.
Russia will increase its covert participation.
Kiev is doomed.
Those are constants because you would have to believe Russia is doomed otherwise.
Now, do you think Russia is going to give in, surrender, not defend itself, be destabilized, negotiate its own diminution and eventually disappear because the Hegemon can’t be dealt with?
The weakest point in the calculus of victory or defeat for Russia is Putin. And not his mind, character or strategy and tactics. It is because he is in his 60’s and because there is only one of him.
This existential war might take a few decades before the global threat to Russia is ended.
So pray for VV Putin. Pray for his strong, long and powerful life. Russia needs his faith and wisdom.
Ever since the militia withdrawal from Slavyansk, they have seemed to be winning. But for how long?

All of you who have been naysaying Putin’s “inactivity”:
The US has stated today that it will be going alone on sanctions against Russia.
ALONE. EU countries are now siding with Russia.
Do you realize what a difference this was from a few months ago?
Putin has put a TREMENDOUS amount of work into this. If Putin keeps up the charm/negotiating offensive, Russia’s going to gain a whole lot of leverage out of this, without firing a shot in Ukraine (that anyone can prove ;-)
It’s been fascinating watching him play the “good cop” for the last few months. And something tells me that Strelkov hasn’t exactly hated the “bad cop” role, if indeed that’s what is playing out.
Why should the Russian Federation intervene when Kiev is radicalizing the Donbass, transferring its arms and the remnants of its legitimate forces to the resistance, alienating the whole population of Ukraine along with most of Europe and ensuring an extended guerilla campaign to retake Novorossiya?
The Russian Federation is conducting a brilliant campaign, winning against America from day 1 without firing a shot.
The operation was characterized by massive air and artillery strikes (including heavy artillery and MLRS) directly on a housing estate, the first steps were marked by large masses of tanks (up to 90 units in the district of Lugansk) and armored vehicles. Failing decisive victory on July 9-11, Kiev was forced to throw in the skirmish all available reserves. Despite the extremely fierce fighting, militia managed not only to inflict serious losses on the enemy, but also fully maintain control over the key point, and even in some areas implement successful counterattack.
Moreover, successful offensives militia provided capture the vast majority of Lugansk Airport, but they try to advance along the southern border with the Russian Federation group of the enemy was stopped in the area of Saur-Graves, came under artillery attacks competently organized militia, and after suffering serious losses, almost completely lost the combat capability .
Using all the available reserves and not achieving success in any of the areas of Kiev in fact suffered its first major military defeat. It is an inevitable consequence of increased activity and its action militia gradual transition to offensive action along with increasing shock raid groups of enemy communications. It is also expected that with no objective opportunities to continue the offensive, Kiev will be forced to go to a ceasefire and negotiations, justifying in the eyes of pro-Ukrainian segment of the population defeat “for humanitarian reasons” and “international pressure.
To “pessimist” this link you send about the Lithuanian historian is invaluable and extremely pedagogic. Thanks for sending it. I will post to anyone that I know (and do not know) because in my opinion it explains everything that I was thinking on this conflict but not quite understood. I recommend it of course to everyone of this forum too.
Gayle – yup, Mr Putin’s diplomatic efforts are paying off and he is still at it. Now we will see what the reaction from Washington is. Remember that US businesses were none too happy about the prospect of unilateral sanctions.
Larchmonter – for sure there is the battle of competing narratives, ‘facts’, videos, etc coming from the war zone. Strelkov’s statement that the militia couldn’t possibly counter the Ukie army push because they were out manned/out gunned – well, ok, whatever. Time will tell. A bit of truth mixed with some fog. And then there are the “the Russians are coming, the Russians are coming” drumbeats with no Russians showing up – but plenty of people with various backgrounds on both sides now. And the hardware rumors – Bell, Apache and who knows what all for the Ukies; tanks, MLRS, AA, etc for the militia…

I don’t want to sound too blood thirsty, maybe it is the influence of my American Marine Drill Instructor mom, but my uncle Marine would just soak the airport with fuel and keep it burning till no further resistance. Napalm is easy to make, sucks all the air and the victims mostly just suffocate. The US Army did this routinely to hold out Liberation forces in Viet Nam. Maybe I am traumatized by watching that, but I don’t think so, it is war where the enemy knows no honor. I say they are asking to be toasted.

Larchmonter445:
You asked a few days ago regarding the force estimate for the NAF and Kiev troops.
I found it at the following source:
http://cassad-eng.livejournal.com/22148.html
“By July 12th the relation of forces is the following: the militia has 29-33 thousand under arms on the territory of the DPR and the LPR, up to 30-35 units of armor (not including the combat-capable monuments) + unknown quantity of the MRLS, howitzers, various cannons (anti-tank, recoilless), and mortars, a significant number of MANPADS and several SAMs.
The junta concentrated by the 12th up to 48-53 thousands of infantry, up to 280 units of armor, up to 250 cannons and mortars, 10-12 helicopters, and up to 25 aircraft.”
You mentioned also that this would mean around 8 brigade level groups. I believe that is what you see on the various Order of Battle maps available on the web. For example:
https://mobile.twitter.com/A_J_S_B/status/488988521215324160
https://mobile.twitter.com/A_J_S_B/media/grid?idx=1&tid=488990648532758529
These imply brigade level NAF Order of Battle force placement as follows:
1) Donetsk – 2 brigades? (DNR – Strelkov)
2) Gorlivka (DNR – Bezler)
3) Stakhanov-Alchevisk (LNR – ?)
4) Severodonetsk (LNR – Mozgovoi)
5) Lugansk – 2 Bridgades (LNR – Bolotov)
6) Krasnodon + sub-brigades at Sverdlovsk, Izvaryne and Rovenky – (LNR – ?)
7) Snizhne and Torez + subbrigades – 2 Brigades (DNR – Vostok Batallion?)
8) Saur Mogila and Amvrosiivka – 2 Brigades (DNR – Vostok Batallion)
By my count, that is 12 brigade sized formations on these maps. I don’t have names of all the commanders. As you can see, liquidation of the southern pocket of the attempted Ukrainian pincer movement would probably free up one LNR brigade and two DNR brigades for offensive operations. The success of the pocket operation intially probably also accounts for the abandonment of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk and the incursion through Metalist and Schastye, as it was necessary for LNR forces to redeploy south to counteract the advance and protect the border and to redeploy Vostok from Donetsk to the Saur-Mogila and Snizhne area, which exposed Donetsk and probably accounted for the intrigue there prior to Strelkov’s arrival.
(part 1 of 1)
(part 2 of 2)
Now to what is next. I would imagine based on statements the strategic offensive plan for the NAF would be:
Joint Operation: Liquidate the southern pocket via starvation/surrender
LNR: Transfer forces to Luhansk and liquidate airport pocket, then push north with two brigades to cut off Schastye and join up to Severodonetsk group then further offensive operations to clear north of Luhansk Oblast to the Russian border. Future contingent operations towards Kharkov and Kremenchuk forming a northern pincer arouns the rats lair in Dinpropetrovsk and a future bridgehead over the Dnipr for offensive operations towards Kiev.
DNR: iquidation of airport pocket and offensive with three brigades south to Mariupol to reopen sea access followed by a general frontal assault towards Slavyansk and Krasnoarmiisk to regain Oblast border held on May 11. Future contingent operations towards Melitopol and Crimea, attempting to secure a Dnipr bridgehead around Kherson for offensive operations towards Kiev and Odessa.
Joint Operation: After relinking the pincers around Kirovohrad and liquidation of Dnipropetrovsk in rear forward assault on Kiev with side assulats on Sumy and Odessa, eventually creating a Novorossiya frontier near the line Transnistria-Vinnytsia-Zhitomir.
The success of such an audacious plan will depend on how much of the armed forces under Kiev control can be destroyed or made to switch sides while it is mostly in Donbass, the amount of manpower that can be generated for the NAF and equipment captured or supplied to provide for offensive operations, and the capture of the oil refineries at Lisichasnk near Severodonetsk and the Kremenchug refinery outside Kremenchuk which together are 75% of Ukrainian refining capacity. By my estimation, real panic in Kiev will set in with the seizure of the Lisichansk refinery and the fall of the first major city outside Donbass (Kharkov or Melitopol), while wholesale military defections and a possible military coup or popular revolution or 3rd party intervention (Poland? also possibly Hungary and Romania) are likely if the NAF could seize the Dnipr bridgeheads and the Kremenchug refinery.

Andrew,
Excellent info. I am wondering if the surge in manpower is from defections from Ukie or “volunteers” are special units sent from Mother Russia who also brought battalion commanders to really run the show.
Especially, your forward projection is Divisional sized work. Hardly in the realm of Commandante Skelkrow and his merry band of heroes.
You don’t mention Mariupol. Cleaning up the rear down there would net an army of goons and nazis and that would devastate the Jew Oligarch and prevent them from going to Odessa to reinforce his gangs there.
I like your input.
Of course, we know these are also hopes for the rest of the summer. But it seems, you believe as I do, that the Junta must be chased out of power and the nightmare of Banderastan ended in the Ukraine. (perhaps sent to Poland where it belongs).

Andrew,
You actually think third party (non-NATO) nations would come to Kiev’s rescue?
You mention Poland, Hungary and Romania. Is there talk that they would? Are you supposing just air power? Or troops?
Of course, they are shielded from counter-attack by Article 5 NATO. But, they open themselves to all sorts of other measures to face. Like Russian batteries of anti-air inside Donbass.
By that moment in the war Kiev will be in disorderly retreat and unit surrender. And I would not be surprised that the West would be apoplectic also. The Right Sector will seize power before the collapse making Germany and France bail out from any intervention support. NATO will be immobilized as the word of Kiev becomes an echo of Bandera himself, risen from the grave.
I see Maidan then become the OK Corral.

The helicopters are Vietnam era Hueys, not Apaches. The story appears to be that the US promised Apaches and delivered Hueys.
I can’t work out whether this is real or a PR stunt. The Hueys can carry machine guns and maybe small caliber rockets. I don’t think they normally have countermeasures for MANPADs. Their most famous use was in the evacuation of the US embassy after the fall of South Vietnam. Maybe somebody does have a sense of humor.
More about that “panic report” I posted earlier.

Press Secretary of the “special operation” Vladyslav Seleznyov said that “about this situation, there is information at the command of the ATO. Now everything is being done to bring our troops from this zone of risk”.

Сил больше нет (Forces are no more)

“Kyiv announced the termination of flights of army aviation in the East of Ukraine – after the death the day before in the Lugansk region of the plane An-26. Thus, the rebels actually managed to knock out all of the air force (air force) of Ukraine, at least for a time. This can be extremely important in the course of further development of the conflict in the Southeast of the country.
Supporters of the Donetsk national Republic on Tuesday evening said that they managed to shoot down one su-25 attack aircraft of the air force of Ukraine. “The su-25 shot down during the implementation of air strikes on the city Snow”, – said the head of the information centre of the South-Eastern front” Konstantin Knarik, according to the newspaper the SIGHT.
Earlier, on the morning of Tuesday, the Ukrainian command announced the suspension to individual orders of all flights of the air force, said the press center of the “special operation” Ukrainian security forces. It is unclear whether this statement conventional military cunning, or Kiev decided to resume the work of aviation on the same day.
As reported earlier, the newspaper OPINION, the militia, the South-East of Ukraine on Monday killed two aircraft of the military transport An-26 and attack aircraft su-25.
According to the expert, during the fighting forces of militia was captured military unit № A-1402. On its territory there were anti-aircraft missile systems Buk. The working range of this self-propelled anti-aircraft missile system exceeds 20 km. their Application in practice remained a matter of time.
President of the Academy of geopolitical problems Colonel General Leonid Ivashov said that flights suspended for the purpose of revealing of the reasons of destruction of the aircraft and air defense militias. “To neutralize MANPADS first. In addition, now with pilots for combat aircraft, primarily troopers will be additional classes. They will change their tactics in order not to incur losses. I believe that aviation after some time will again be to act, but be careful, avoiding defeat zone”, – Ivashov said the newspaper VIEW.
In mid-March, the acting Minister of defense of Ukraine Igor tenyuh the report, Alexander Turchinov, who at that time was the acting President of the country, reported that in the Ukrainian air force from available-507 combat aircraft and 121 assault helicopter only 15% healthy and able to rise into the air. However, due to “a low training flying personnel to carry out combat missions capable of not more than 10% of the crews.” Thus, we can conclude that the militia destroyed from one-fifth to a quarter of all the current Ukrainian military aviation.
Approximately the same figures as those voiced tenyuh, in an interview to the newspaper the SIGHT in early July, led and military analyst Vladislav Shurygin, which assesses the number of combat-ready Ukrainian military aviation approximately 50 aircraft. Over the next four months Ukrainians, he believes, will be able to restore back to 50 aircraft.
“That representatives of all classes: fighters, attack aircraft, bombers and helicopters. But the real work is now only about 20 boards. Of these, about 10 helicopters and 10 su-24 and su-25 and bombers,” said Shurygin…”

BRICS countries to challenge unipolar world order – experts
http://voiceofrussia.com/radio_broadcast/25298789/274675208/
“BRICS countries are about to contest the global over-reliance on the US financial system and strengthen international legislation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview on the eve of the Sixth BRICS summit in Fortaleza, Brazil. Could BRICS countries challenge the old and crumbling unipolar world order? Is the Sixth BRICS Summit likely to suggest a solution?
The five States – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – account for 28% of the world’s GDP and 42% of the global population, which puts them in a good position to offer a relevant solution challenging the US hegemony, which is making our world increasingly insecure.
“Together we should think about a system of measures that would help prevent the harassment of countries that do not agree with some foreign policy decisions made by the United States and their allies, but would promote a civilized dialogue on all points based on mutual respect”, Putin said…”

ukr army now retreating in earnest…

“0-54, Message from Strelkova:
Huge columns retreating UkrSib troops were pulled through the dam in the area npoiifn (sub Dmitrievka). Try to jump out of the “bag”. Tanks, self-propelled guns, tank trucks, transport columns all mixed together.
But I hope to come not all have time.”
From the map, it looks like the junta nazis are trying to pull their forces out from that pocket south of Lugansk, next to the Russian border.

You actually think third party (non-NATO) nations would come to Kiev’s rescue? You mention Poland, Hungary and Romania. Is there talk that they would? Are you supposing just air power? Or troops?
I said intervention, not rescue. What I forsee were my supposed NAF plan to come to pass is intervention by these three nations (and possibly Slovakia) to seize parts of Ukraine that were formerly theirs. Think of vultures circling a carcass.
The intervention would be sold under the need to protect their own minorities and the poor pitiful pearl west Ukrainians from the NAF forces.
Specifically, its not hard to see Hungary and/or Slovakia occupying Transcarpathia, Romania and Moldavia taking at least part of Chernivitsi and part of Budjak (and possibly settling the Transnistrian conflict by judicious rearrangement of borders to put the Gaguz and Slavs in Novorossiya and the Moldovans/Romanians in Romania), and of course, the Poles restoring their 1939 border or some variant thereof by creating a West Ukrainian protectorate. This type of action could be sold as a “peacekeeping operation” during the collapse/death throes of the Maidan Government.
Give that events are proceeding under a plan devised at much higher levels than Boroday, Strelkov, and Bolotov, it would not surprise me in the least if diplomatic feelers had not already been put forth towards these nations by Russia on this very topic. Everything out of Russia has been that Galacia and Volyn are going to be sawed off Ukraine in any partition.
AGS,
Your words are a powerful part of the strength and beauty of this place, and I always receive something of value from them. This beautiful sermon is certainly a prime example, real food for thought that in some ways reflects where I’ve gotten travelling a fairly similar path, and in others takes me further. It’s just so wonderful to have all this to continue to chew on, so a heartfelt “Thank you!” for all the many times you’ve done this.
But there’s one particular place where I’m not quite where you are and I’m not sure whether it’s a matter of word choice or something a bit deeper. I absolutely agree with everything you said about forgiveness. Everything. But I see forgetting a bit differently: *to be* forgiven, as I see it, is to live in a state cleansed of one’s sins by God, so that all — oh gosh, how do I say it non-theologically — official accounting of them against you has been wiped clean. But that’s God’s job; I see ours a little differently. Certainly, as you said, one must fully renounce, let go of, the thoughts and deeds constituting one’s sin and I think what you’re saying is that that is the “forget” part of “forgive and forget”, right? But to me, true humility, plus the efforts to keep from lapsing right back into that sin require one NOT to forget, to always maintain an awareness of one’s ability to fall right back into it PLUS an awareness of God’s grace in having forgiven us. So, one can feel the relief of having been cleansed but at the same time some tension through the ongoing awareness that it was a gift one should continually struggle to deserve.
Larchmonter445:
I am wondering if the surge in manpower is from defections from Ukie or “volunteers” are special units sent from Mother Russia who also brought battalion commanders to really run the show.
I think you are seeing three sources – local recruitment, defections from UAF, and CIS volunteers. There is even a Serb platoon now in Lugansk, growing towards company size.
Especially, your forward projection is Divisional sized work. Hardly in the realm of Commandante Skelkrow and his merry band of heroes.
If NAF forces are as large as stated, each Oblast has effectively already fielded one division in three months, having started with essentially one company each in April.
With simple straightline growth, we would expect each Oblast to have two divisions by October and three by January. With geometric growth, it could obviosuly be much higher. Donbass is capable of fielding a 20 division Army by population with total mobilization.
While Strelkov has humbly proclaimed himself just a Colonel and in need of a General, functionally he has already shown himself to be a very capable Brigadier General given his accomplishments at Slavyansk using a brigade to hold off a division, and if he is successful in Donetsk no directing a division sized force, we could say he is comptent at the Major General level and probably capable of directing the Field Army needed to conquer and occupy Kiev.
There doesn’t appear to be any reason he can’t continue to organiclly grow in rank with the size of his army.
Also, it appears the Ukrainians have only managed to field the equivalent of three divisions after 5 months of military crisis with the full power of the state and to compel mobilization. That does not say much for the potential forces the NAF has to defeat. It would seem many people are sitting on the fence looking for the winner so they can join up. It seems quite possible the NAF could surpass the UAF in activated manpower within a month or two.
You don’t mention Mariupol. Cleaning up the rear down there would net an army of goons and nazis and that would devastate the Jew Oligarch and prevent them from going to Odessa to reinforce his gangs there.
I did mention Mariupol. I believe it is the tertiary objective of the DNR right now after liquidating the south pocket and capturing Donetsk Airport. Borodai and Strelkov also mentioned it as a key objective.

You have to understand most of this people are not ready to be unplugged, and many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependant on that system, that they will fight to protect it.

You wonder where these people come from, and there you have it, from women who demand conforts for their men who go to war, matresses, flack jackets, modern weapons, buffet service, consierge, and probably a wake up call to be on time to roll out the MLRS. Woman represents the Milk and Honey of the promised land, that is they represent the nutrition, the nourishment. They represent the caring, the tenderness, the Love.
But when you see that they just argue for the comfortablee linens for men to go and murder other human beings, you have to wonder, where is the humanity in these women, these wives and mothers.
Where is the humanity in these beings?
I know several women from W. and Central Ukraine, and by the conversations had they seemed civilized enough, bright no doubt.
But as soon as the events in SE Ukraine began to unfold, and Maidan had won the First Battle of Kiev, their whole black entrails came out. Bile and puss in their thoughts and expressions, all rage and anger, and probably envy, directed to Russia. What they wish for Putin you can well imagine. Completely evil thoughts, and brainwashed expressions towards anything Russian.
