Well, I don’t think that the civil war thing jumped several notches. As far as I can see the 1861-1865 event cannot be replicated. Who would fight in such a conflict ? However, what is very much possible are severe political and social disturbances which could, theoretically, lead to the implosion of the US. Secessionist movements do exist in the US.
Since I live in Europe, I can assure Americans that all the infantile machinations of the US media and political establishment during the past few years have made Europeans sick and tired of watching all of this, which cannot possibly raise the esteem of the US. It can only lower it.

Additionally, I would not be surprised if a substantial number of Republicans in the Senate vote to remove Trump in order to install Pence (a Washington insider) in office. Seriously, the Republican Senate owes nothing to Trump and everything to the keeping the whole corrupt system going. I can just see those Republican hypocrites in the Senate saying “I have to put my country before my party, this is a matter of conscience,” or saying “I reluctantly must support removal from office in order to protect our democratic way of life” or giving some other empty justification for engaging in what is really a palace intrigue.
If Trump is impeached (or even more importantly removed from office) it could convert millions of his supporters into potential revolutionaries. And the people in both parties are so removed from reality that they probably don’t understand that. They simply don’t understand that they are playing with fire.
It’s a coup de theatre in a very poor farce, where the writers have joined the actors in the most hysterically deranged mummery yet. Western liberal elites have truly ‘jumped the shark’.
I understand your position on this issue but do you find any irony in the fact these politicians are complaining about violations of the constitution and house rules while at the same time supporting mass NSA data collection and illegal removal of leaders of other countries such as Syria and Venezuela? And does anyone believe that Trump is draining the swamp when he has appointed Pompeo and Munchkin, just to name a few? I am a 66 yr old US citizen, former true believer and veteran. But the more I see the more I look at these politicians as mafia family members fighting over territory.

Every time I see a MSM article about how Trump allegedly threatens “our democracy” I think about the media and say to myself, “you hypocrites.”
It’s okay to murder people in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Venezuelan military and police (so far) have stood with the government of Venezuela.And the US curated coup has failed for now.The US controlled media worldwide has ceaselessly castigated the Venezuelan government over this.
But now in what is the height of irony, in Peru we see something very different. There the President has just dissolved the opposition controlled parliament. And (shades of Venezuela) the parliament has declared that illegal and that he is no longer President. The President has gone to the military and police and they have pledged their loyalty to him (again shades of Venezuela).The difference seems to be the US has no differences with the Peruvian government,one that supports the US. So we don’t see the US crying about the President dissolving parliament.Nor do we see the US controlled media worldwide whining about Peru’s government “attacking democracy”.Its early,but we will see how these three situations turn out.

I agree, and only differ in not seeing any redeeming features in Trump, save his opposition to the Deep State, and discerning so many faults eg his subservience to Bibi, his destruction of the JCPOA, his sabotage of the Paris Agreement, his attacks on ecological protection and his war on China (self-defeating as it is), as to make him pretty loathsome-like all US politicians, come to think of it.

Sorry to disabuse Republicans, but you do NOT repeat NOT brlieve in Free Trade. You believe in US trade at the barrel of a gun and you try to destroy free trade between non US parties, like Nordstream II. Germany wants it, Russia wants it and it is funded by business. The US CANNOT by definition believe in Free Trade if cheaper Russian gas must be replaced by more expensive US LNG or sanctions must be imposed.

As for impeachment, Obama should have prosecuted Bush for his wars and coups. Instead, he expanded the wars and coups, while letting war crime bygones be bygones.
On that count the Republicans are correct. Impeaching Trump for asking about corruption between the Democrats and Ukraine is perfectly legitimate. The Democrats are totally off base. But this is just blood sport party politics. And anyone who tries to paint the Republicans, who brought us serial wars based on the 911 lie, and walked out on two critical arms control treaties as somehow morally upright needs to go back, look at the history of the current leadership of the party, and reassess their presumptions.
Why is it that the Democrats won’t impeach Trump for his nepotism, his use of his own assets as the President for business purposes, which violates the Constitutional provision on emoluments? They could impeach him for walking out of international agreements like the INF Treaty and JCPOA, which only Congress has a right to do. And if the Democrats approved walking out of those treaties, they’re guilty themselves.
Instead they impeach him for exposing their own corruption.

OK, it probably forced Zelenskii to act on the Steinmayer formula, as he has to do something – He kinda lost Trump as a ‘soft’ protector, he insulted the Europeans and the Russians are surely not smiling on him.
Sure, Trump must have the freedom to do things like that but then, he must also pay the price for doing things like that. He is the President, that is the job.
So, did Trump do this from the goodness of his heart to ‘protect’ the American people from scum like Biden and Co? He has a business brain .. he would try hit two birds with one stone, get dirt for electioneering purposes and be able to market that as ‘protecting’ the American people and draining the swamp. Now he has demolished Biden, but at what cost? I see the old BoltOn in all versions of think tanks speaking his truth .. Trump is wrong by not attacking North Korea and Trump is wrong by not attacking Iran – and he is saying this to enthusiastic applause from the think-tankers – and this is what Trump had as his own staff?.
Who do you think of world leaders are ever going to trust Trump again to keep their confidential conversations confidential? I don’t think anyone is ever going to go ‘off the record’ with some non-diplomatic straight talk with Trump ever again.
Next they will probably nail Trump on not making his tax returns public which every president in modern history has done. And if that becomes public, oy vey … there are warehouses full of laws, legal prescriptions and regulations. And in business I don’t think there is anybody that can defend themselves against tax crimes because just breathing is a crime and I don’t think Trump’s business affairs was simple – probably very complicated and a hundred places where it can be argued.
This is just bloodsport politics with the crimes of the US internationally now being turned to their own internal structures. And now it comes out that Trump asked Australia to investigate as well. I guess if there was anything like a government left in the UK, he would ask them to investigate themselves as well.
At the end of the day, how intelligent is this? Asking the Ukraine to investigate itself and asking Australia to investigate itself? I question Trump’s strategy here really. I mean he could have prevailed against Biden easily in the upcoming elections without opening this can of worms now. Now he has to fight an election, fight off an impeachment attempt, fight off a bare-knuckled fistfight to the last man left standing, deal with real economic problems and nobody in the world is really his friend.
I don’t know the names but I saw this morning that there are now 2 republican lawmakers that are supporting the impeachment drive. One was apparently a republican, and is now independent.
I don’t see any winners here, no matter how good or bad they are. Some may be worse than others, but all I see is breathtaking hypocrisy and I think Trump tried to do the right thing perhaps. But he went for the quick win by declassifying – In terms of strategy, oh boy! In my view he should have refused and said that the confidential conversations of a president is just that! confidential, so that the so-called whistleblower could get on the hot seat. Now he is on the hot seat and has given them food for the food fight.

Well, it is all quite a show. A spectacle. The conduct of the dems appears to be stark raving mad. But for the most part, we are looking at two wings of the same bird. The republicans had the presidency and a majority in both houses and couldn’t get anything done. They couldn’t fix health care. They couldn’t fix immigration. It’s almost as if the Democrats were running the government. Trump says they want to take away the people’s guns. I heard Trump himself, in a meeting with Democrats say that he would show them how to get the guns. Forget about due process. That takes too long, he said. Get the guns first and then have due process. Enter Red Flag laws. When he was campaigning he rightly said Obama’s economy was artificial, pumped up by injections of money from the Fed into a giant bubble. As soon as he sits in the White house he takes credit for the greatest economy in history. It is all a lie. A giant psyop. He says he is draining the swamp while continuing to fill it. I heard Trump admit that he is a nationalist AND a globalist. Do you know that it was the Rothschild banking house that bailed him out in the 90s? And the point man for that now works in Trump’s government, Wilbur Ross. The bankers are going to crash the economy and Trump will be blamed. It will be a nightmare.
The crash never ended, and is currently accelerating again, like a lahar overwhelming some temporary impediment. Ironically, Trump’s trade war on China may have been the triggering mechanism for this catastrophe. I suspect the Deep State will be working assiduously to trigger an economic collapse, to finish Trump off in next year’s election.
Voting in federal elections is consorting with the Prince of Darkness. There is no truth spoken, only deceit and maleficence. Washington, DC is a carbuncle that cannot be disinfected but only grows in mass until it consumes and rots the host; the goodness of the American citizenry.
Some of us have been condemned and chastised for not choosing the “lessor of two evils.” As long as the electorate awaits in line to enter the political abattoir and cast their vote, this vile system of false democracy will live. I wish to bring it to an ignominious end.

I didn’t even bother to look at the vids. Everyone is standing here, wringing their hands and as usual either for or against the elected President of the United States of American. Well, in case none of you noticed, he was elected in what is arguably the biggest political upset in US history, even his own party was against him, let alone the Deep State and all the three letter agencies. But! The People Have Spoken and whilst many of you will disagree, there was enough adlebrained ‘idiots’ ( not my words) who did indeed vote for him and put him in office. And the losers were screaming impeachment the day after the vote tally was finalized, or did none of you notice that? Are you deaf and blind?
So now everyone is aghast about Biden and his son during the turmoil, US paid and led, of and after the coup d’etat in Kiev. You watched Nuland handing out stale pastries to bemused Berkut, you watched steady streams of US politicians going to Maidan, including Biden (or was it McCain? Or ‘and’ McCain? There was so many of them….), and fawning over their minions. You watched paid snipers killing over a hundred of their own on the last days of the coup. You watched central Kiev in flames but you didn’t hear the screams of Berkut and Militsiya prisoners being burned alive in the Trade Hall on Maidan. I did. Then you watched Donetsk and Lughansk Oblasti question the coup as fighting, read murdering, erupted in Odessa with a body count close to three hundred in the smoking ruins of the Odessa Trade Hall alone. No one noticed that Biden’s son got a huge peach of a position on the Board of Directors of a major Ork firm in this turmoil? Are you blind? It was all over the news in this AO and Russia when it happened during our Russian Spring as the first killings happened in Donetsk. And, in case you have a problem with time and dates, all of that happened before President Trump even mentioned he would run for president.
Were all of you blind not to see what was happening under the watchful eye of the Deep State? Were all of you blind to the constant informations promulgated on this very blog about American and ‘nato’ troops fighting on the side of Kiev and killing DNR and LNR soldiers….and civilians far more than soldiers? Were all of you blind as The Deep State destroyed Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Libya, Syria, Irak, Somalia, Yemen, and Afghan and tried to destroy Gruzya and wanted to destroy Sevastopol and Krimu? And now some, many, of you are all for destroying the only President we’ve had since President Reagan who told the MIC ‘NO’. What’s wrong with you? Do you have no patriotism for your own country? Do you hate a political outsider who was legally elected to the highest office of the land so much you are willing, even eager, to destroy him which will at the same time destroy our country and bring unabridged turmoil and yes, violence, to our country?
