b) Deep Background
Part One: The Real Current Event
At the time of writing, the sitting President, Jacob Zuma had been ‘recalled’ by his ANC (African National Congress) party/tribe and encouraged to tender his resignation with Cyril Ramaphosa, a long-term trade unionist, taking over as President. This caused a wave of tension to be released in the country as Ramaphosa was widely considered as a moderate influence. Shortly after his inauguration, this paragon of moderate influence announced that the constitution will be changed to allow appropriation of all white property without compensation and *’Reconciliation is now Over.’ In that statement he refers to the period of Truth and Reconciliation that was somewhat effective in the country. Remember that statement. We will re-visit it.
There is a fascinating history of South Africa and of Africa South of the Sahara, and we will take a look at part of this history as it pertains to the situation today. Yet everything pales by comparison; everything becomes simply detail and noise if we look at the real and ongoing current event that is happening now, with the complicity of the world, with few understanding the severity.
The real current event is a continuing, creeping White Ethno-cide, if not directly State-sponsored, certainly with State covert encouragement.
Sidebar: I will be using the word word Boer which translates directly to farmer. In usage, the word denotes a White South African – either from the Dutch side or those Brits that integrated. The Boer fought for their land both against the Brits, as well as against the tribal Blacks that were migrating South from further North.
Deep racial hatred and violence, African style, have come full circle from White Rule to Black Rule. We can analyze current events; we can take a look at differences pre- and post-apartheid; we can fully accept Black Leadership, but what we cannot accept is this Creeping White Ethnocide which is in full force and effect with seemingly full complicity and encouragement by their silence of the South African Government and literally zero outcry from the world. It is difficult to quantify: whenever something, some glimpse of reality or truth creeps out into the general populace, it is obscured with inane arguments for example, ‘the Boer was not kind to his workers’ and other such type inanities. In the ‘everyone is equal’ paradise of South Africa, statistics on minorities are not collected or maintained (or so they say) excepting by private organizations, and if it is not a state actor, the statistics are questioned or changed to something more benign, like ‘a burglary went wrong‘ while it is clearly another farm family murder. Local organizations that keep accurate statistics are targets. The issue is obscured, talked around, suppressed, sanctioned, censored and otherwise obfuscated until a state of cognitive dissonance sets in, and the journalists leave for more exciting stories. Few journalists stay the course to understand the complexities in this environment.
Ilana Mercer, the author of Into the Cannibal’s Pot, says: “While the number of whites is shrinking as a percentage of the total population, their proportion among the scalded, shot, sliced and garroted is growing.”

A South African farm murder or just an everyday old murder, is a brutal slaughter; whole families become targets and the methods of murdering, harming and attacking simply beggars belief. Post-Apartheid South Africa is not the Rainbow Nation Paradise presented by the Western Created Icon, Nelson Mandela.

This is a group of students singing One Bullet One Settler (the lyrics here used to be One Bullet, One Boer, or, One Bullet, One Farmer, but they changed the lyrics from Boer to Settler (trying to denote an influence of settlers really not belonging in South Africa, latecomers, Johnny come latelys, which is of course untrue) and on being charged for hate speech, they changed the next song to Kiss the Boer or Kiss the Settler, instead of Kill the Boer. This sweet little song is being sung by the opposition for show only to the ANC, the young uneducated firebrand, Julius Malema who has his own role to play in the theater of Politics, African Style. We will not be spending much time on Julius, only to say that he is the young one, allowed to almost forecast what the policies of the future will be. Most consider him just background noise, and this would be really a question of not seeing the complete story:

“Home Sweet Home” in South Africa is 10-foot walls with razor wire on top, electric fencing, copious burglar bars, and panic buttons wired directly to an armed-response team, licensed to shoot, if not kill. It’s not the sort of thing you put in a tourist brochure. South Africa, statistically speaking, is one of the most dangerous places in the world to live since power changed formally in 1994. Talking to a South African a few days ago, he described it: “There are regular violent incidents in our area. Each incident leads to a tightening of existing measures by which the community cooperates to keep control and alert systems as tight as possible – neighborhood saturated with cameras. We’re gearing up to cope in these circumstances for the foreseeable future. Speaking of which, it’s 6pm and time for me to get some sleep before doing the graveyard shift on neighbourhood watch.”
From another area: “We caught four tonight with their weapons and arrived at our neighbor just in time before another group could break into the house. They will sleep in jail tonight and be footloose and fancy free tomorrow again but at least we are fine for tonight.”
Since the 1994 Freedom Election, the white minority have and are surviving One Bullet One Boer, Pass Me My Machine Gun, the most atrocious and horrible murders, slaughtering whole families, wholesale squatter camps for the poor with a brutal rate of joblessness because legislatively this minority are excluded from the workplace and neighborhoods being patrolled 24/7 by their inhabitants who mainly have been disarmed.
Catastrophic jobless rate warrants institution of a state of emergency:
http://www.radiofreesouthafrica.com/catastrophic-jobless-rate-warrants-institution-state-emergency/
Sidebar: This is important to understand. Frequently this South African state of affairs is presented and understood in retributive terms; that it’s a sort of a justifiable punishment for apartheid. Yet Black crime is equally disturbing, but not State Sanctioned by means of statistically misrepresenting the size of the problem. Even more frequently it is described in racial terms; i.e., if one says anything, you are by definition a racist. The racial dichotomy may also lead to co-option by White Supremacists as their issue. It is an issue yes, but also a double-edged sword. Co-option as a cause to prove the supremacist point would be disingenuous and an incorrect view on the South African issues. You may see such influences in the links to this article. There is much more mileage in describing this problem as deep cultural differences as the hatred between the various groupings in South Africa is visceral, instinctual and irrational.

Part Two: Rolling Over of the President – “It’s someone else’s turn, and the time for Reconciliation is over.
South Africa started as a Dutch colony and it changed hands a few times, eventually settling as an English colony.
South Africa is a state that is today defined by black and white polarity, tribal polarity (sometimes hidden and in some cases brazenly open), and an historical inheritance from British colonial times, Boer vs Brit, that carried over to Boer vs Black and now Black vs Boer. Influences during the latter part of the 1900’s can be traced to an existential clash of traditional Communism USSR Style coupled with Communism Chinese Style vs Democracy Western Style brought together broadly in most of Sub-Saharan Africa.
South Africa is essentially a one party state and has been a one party dictatorial state since colonialism, right through the period of white rule and up to now black rule. The Boer or Afrikaner took over from Brit from 1948 only to re-institute dictatorship in the Republic (1960 Republic) dominated by Afrikaner Nationalism (close to Hitlerian ideology of ‘the pure race’), total racial segregation and white minority rule enshrined in law. Yes, some opposition from formerly colonialist Brits was allowed to a small extent, but it was form without substance. The Nationalist Afrikaner, in their hearts, broke free from British rule and would not share power with anyone believing that they paid for the country in blood through wars with Blacks and wars with Brits. The colonial British attitude against black tribes continued throughout and the Boers not only accepted the Black as a cheap source of manipulable labor, but also accepted the British inculcated racial attitude towards the inhabitants of their colonies.
Yet, the country worked and worked well for most inhabitants. South Africa, Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia created by Cecil John Rhodes in the Brit tradition) and Namibia (formerly South West Africa) formed a powerhouse of talent, ability and sheer grit and moxie, that could have powered the whole African continent South of the Sahara and further North. It is an area of the world that today carries heartbreaking consequences of colonialism; interference from countries with imperialist notions – China and the then USSR, as well as the ubiquitous US interference during the later half of the 1900’s. It is also a country that, if it had not become the plaything of communism vs democracy by proxies, could have made the ultimate difference to the well being of the African continent.
In the time-span from the late 1960’s up to the beginnings of the 1990’s, Sub-Saharan Africa was a guerrilla war torn area. In Zimbabwe, the guerrilla forces from Zapu, Zanla and Zipra fought a 3-way tribal war. The Ndebele fought the Shona and both fought the White ‘Suppressor’. In Namibia with support from the newly independent Angola, SWAPO forces fought the South African regime and this led to the South African Cuban war that stretched into Zambia. In Mozambique, Frelimo, Fam, and Renamo fought each other and fiercely battled for independence from Portugal.
These were all proxy wars between the then USSR and the West. You will immediately pick up on the significance of this date, 1990 and onward, when the guerrilla wars became less prominent, being the time of the end of the USSR and the USSR imploded and dissolved.
In South Africa, all out guerrilla war was avoided and negotiations for power sharing started in 1991 under the name Codesa – Convention for a Democratic South Africa and further groupings and names required at the time. Both the Zulus and the Whites walked out and they were badly outmaneuvered for sure.
Before the 1994 Freedom Election, South Africa was a country that worked. Telephones, Post Office, Banks, Roadways, Schools (white schools mainly, which was part of the problem), Universities; all the institutions that make up a functioning country were in place. South Africa was a net food exporter with a powering talent in farming and food production as well as production of war materiel. The biggest difference since the 1994 Freedom Election, is that the country no longer works. South Africa is now a net food importer. There are serious power outages, crime sprees, the water systems for Great Cities like Cape Town are falling apart, the roads not maintained and infrastructure seriously lacking in maintenance, renewal and what can be called engineering smarts. It is almost as if the country is now paying the price for the white regime failing to educate and enfranchise the black majority during the apartheid era.
Taken from the time of the 1994 freedom election, one can almost say that South Africa survived a series of exceedingly ineffective leaders. First Nelson Mandela (we will deal with him separately, but he benefited from inheriting a working country);
– then Tabo Mbeki whose greatest contribution was to stop all aids medication and said a shower will prevent aids, or sex with a virgin. His aids policy is estimated to have killed upwards of a half a million people;
– then two short-term place holders not really worth a mention;
– then Jacob Zuma who got a tad too greedy for the party with building his own village, having just too many wives and taking just a tad too much money in cahoots with other criminals (the Guptas);
– and now rolling over to Cyril Ramaphosa.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_heads_of_state_of_South_Africa
Why do I say that this is a ‘rolling over’ of previous President Zuma to Cyril Ramaphosa? Ramaphosa’s institution as President was initially received with some relief of tensions by most people in South Africa. It was hoped that he would reduce the unacceptable corruption from Zuma’s rule to a less visible level, and hopefully keep young uneducated firebrands such as Julian Malena and his EFF (the main proponent of land expropriation and white killing and generally horrendous crime statistics with his Economic Freedom Figthers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Malema) under control, and perhaps allow a level a sanity with the current white minority which is being euthanized, annihilated and ethnically cleansed. As you will see, this hope lasted but a few days.
Post Colonial African leaders are a study in themselves. Colonialists were effective and by that I do not say colonialism was good. It was merely effective in whatever it chose to do, until it broke down. Yes, there are regular elections in South Africa. The West wants it like this but Post-Apartheid South Africa is a one-party state. Ilana Mercer has a description in her incisive work: Into The Cannibal’s Pot, http://www.ilanamercer.com/cannibals-pot/ of how, when the new post apartheid powers rewrote the constitution, they set it up so that it is effectively impossible to defeat or supplant the ANC. Other (ethnic) African groups (particularly the Zulus and the Whites) complained at the time and proposed more democratic alternatives; but they were rejected by the ANC, which is to say, by the new State.
This is what happens. As long as the Party manages themselves so that they do not sustain widespread and massive unpopularity; if the outright theft remains within limits, they can continue the farce of taking out a corrupt high official once he or she gets to the utterly ridiculous stage, and replace that person with another. It is his turn, or it is her turn at the fleshpots.
Sidebar: “Leaders of the mass-based nationalist parties that brought their countries to independence charted the first visions of postcolonial politics, centering upon rapid, egalitarian, state-led political development. These generally dissolved amid political disarray with their objectives largely unrealized. In response, from the 1970s onward, post-independence African countries’ engagement in world affairs coincided increasingly with dominant external influence upon the objectives and shape of African politics. This trend has continued in varied and changing forms into the 21st century. The rapidly and profoundly changing contours of late-20th and early-21st-century world politics and the global economy have intertwined, at least until recently, with predominant weakness and political decay in African politics as well as endemic economic underdevelopment. These conditions have spawned sharply divergent formulations of what has been required to overcome them. The influencing vectors shaping these formulations have been many, varied, and contrasting. They have included (1) residual legacies of colonial rule along with evolving international regimes enshrining democracy and human rights; (2) contending orthodoxies in the academy and in policy arenas concerning the nature of the state and its proper roles in development processes; and (3) African cultural norms, as they have endured and been reformulated in colonial and post-independence times, juxtaposed to increasingly pervasive liberalizing and secular mores of the West, notably with respect to gender and religion. “
http://www.oxfordbibliographies.com/view/document/obo-9780199846733/obo-9780199846733-0057.xml
As can be clearly seen in the quote from Oxford Bibliographies, very seldom has an African style leader remained true to the kinds of expectations in South Africa after the removal of Zuma, but hope always springs eternal, hence the initial feeling of relief from inside South Africa. There is just something about power and African power that is cultural, highly aggressive and it remains a tribalized world. (Note the title of Ilana Mercer’s book: Into the Cannibal’s Pot. Does that not remind you of Tribes and Kings? These are true African values). The inheritance of the quintessential African King revered by his followers, surrounded by his concubines keeping the beer pots full, and his impi’s of warriors denuding the country side of anything that moves, is still very active. Is this an insult? Of course not, it is reality. Is this a racist statement? Of course not, I wish we could return to a true Africa. No, don’t ask me for a link. There isn’t one.
“What about elections for a new President?” people ask me. “ Well, it is Africa,” I reply. “The party (the Tribe, the Tribal King) über alles. Wait awhile,” I say, “there will be ‘free and fair elections’ … but the ANC will win”.
Note that the previous president Tabo Mbeki also was ‘recalled’ in a power struggle before Jacob Zuma was elected, or is it ‘appointed’ President. It is almost as if we have a trend here. http://content.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1843112,00.html
Understanding is needed. These men, the current revolving Kingship (Presidency) of the African National Congress (ANC) were all members of Umkhonto we Sizwe, the spear of the nation, the military wing of the ANC, trained by the then USSR in what we would consider brutal Stalinist flavor of old style Soviet Communism with clear Stasi techniques of iron control. (Yes, I know there is some revisionist literature on Stalin – I’m using that phrase because it is well known in the West.)
Most of the current crop of grey-beards acceptable for Kingship, which in the West is called a Presidency, if not all of them, spent years in London as part of the exile and shadow South African Government with ongoing USSR style training. They all have to get their turn at playing King. Killing and torturing a few whites is simply “just deserts”, the fruits of the apartheid regime and fully deserved for the whites. Land appropriations without compensation? Well, that is just the norm. Creating a brain drain so that the country has very few educated and skilled manpower left and what there is are mainly braindead and in camps for the destitute as they could not survive, is not so important. Threatening the breadbasket so that no farmer can possibly survive is just grist for the communist mill. Stealing the state coffers blind is what a King does. It all belongs to him and everyone that took part in the Great Freedom struggle, must get their turn. This is a Game of Musical Chairs and the next King in line is pushed into the Free Chair when the music stops for a moment :

Now, the palace guard of the ANC tribe is giving Cyril Ramaphosa his turn at the trough. He presented a very good State of the Union Address
Sidebar : You don’t believe my characterization of the African Style Leader still being African King? The following may enlighten:
How much South Africa’s kings and queens and traditional leaders will get paid in 2018
You need some more justification here …. Let’s take a look at three:
A Xhosa, Mandela was born to the Thembu royal family. He was from a Royal House and for that reason alone was accepted as leader. He also started MK, the military wing of the ANC.
Mbeki is a native Xhosa speaker and Mbeki describes himself as “born into the struggle”; a portrait of Karl Marx sat on the family mantelpiece, and a portrait of Mohandas Gandhi was on the wall.
Zuma began engaging in politics at an early age and joined the African National Congress in 1959. He became an active member of Umkhonto we Sizwe in 1962, following the South African government’s ban of the ANC in 1961. Zuma joined the South African Communist Party (SACP) in 1963.
An isibongo is a clan name or praise name in Zulu culture. The term is derived from the verb -bonga meaning “to praise”, “to thank”, “to worship” or “to call by a clan name”. The plural form “izibongo” (clannames) refers to praise poetry, a traditional Zulu art form in which the fame of a person is extolled. Izibongo are classically performed in public in a dramatic style, and usually reference the ancestry of the person being praised. Since the advent of democracy in South Africa, politicians (presidents in particular) are often accompanied to public events by their izimbongi (singular “imbongi”) or praise poets whose performance sets the scene for a speech or ceremony. In former times this characterized only traditional leaders such as monarchs.
(These descriptions are mainly from various Wikipedia Sources)
Now you may understand why Nelson Mandela sang “Kill the Whites”, and Zuma sang “Pass me my Machine Gun”. These are their Kingly or Royal songs and they are being praised for their strength and killing power similar to old style African Kings.
So, Zuma rolled out and Ramaphosa rolled in; but land expropriation without compensation will continue; only now it will be constitutionalized and continue “to the benefit of the economics of the country”, Ramaphosa says. It is the popular view, as land is considered the item that the whites have too much of. It is besides the point that this little experiment has not worked up to now as starter black farmers were given land over the past 25 years that they have no clue how to make productive. (There are few exceptions to this). South Africa, after the 1994 Freedom Elections, is now a net food importer. The massive example of failure of the policy of expropriation of land of Zimbabwe lies just a few kilometers North; but seemingly neither the old President nor the new one can see it. “We will accelerate our land redistribution program, not only to redress a grave historical injustice, but also to bring more producers into the agricultural sector and to make more land available for cultivation.” Sounds good eh! Just like real policy making. Excepting, we have seen over the past 25 years that that cultivation hardly exists. The issue here is: does the so-called grave historical injustice really exist? History tells us that it does not. Refer to the end of this article – Deep Background.
My great grandparents, grandparents and parents never received ‘distributed’ land. Some of the very first inhabitants of the Boers, that trekked North took up land with nobody on it. There were rules in the Boer becoming Afrikaner methodology and empty land could be taken up, as much as the distance to East, West, North and South, that one could ride in one day on a horse. But today, whether land was distributed or not, someone has to produce food, and this production of food is now so threatened that a general supermarket buyer has to buy fresh product from Israel, through to Chili or Peru. Thus far there is no sign of securing food production in the country.
“What about Nelson Mandela?”; people ask me.
With quivering emotion, eyes shining with tears of reverence and excessive rhetoric, the Western press reported on this man Mandela. Was this real? Mandela became an Icon that even stirred my heartstrings because he was so beautifully packaged – by who? We do not really know, and it may have been The Wandering Who (borrowing words from Gilad Aztmon), protecting their mining industries and buying a few more years of relative peace and security. If you think of the big names in Gold, Diamonds and Platinum, you will find all of those names represented in South Africa as owners. Names like De Beers, Oppenheimer and Anglo-American Platinum should be known to most everyone.
https://www.thebalance.com/the-10-biggest-platinum-producers-2339736
Jewish influence towards racial equality in South Africa dates back to the earliest days of Jewish immigration. As far back as 1917 a Yiddish-speaking branch of the International Socialist League was formed. This league, a forerunner of the South African Communist Party (SACP) organized unions and co-operatives without distinction of class or color, eventually being absorbed into existing unions.
The main drafter or writer of the new South African Constitution was Albie Sachs, a Jew from Lithuanian background and Soviet Style hardcore communist. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/architect-of-south-africa-s-constitution-returning-to-where-it-all-began-1.1733659
Communist ideology Jewry formed a much greater percentage in the black freedom struggle than the statistical Jewish representation in South Africa. http://maurice-ostroff.tripod.com/id27.html
Yet, in reality on the ground, from experience, most of the average Jews hated the Schwartzes (blacks). Now with this deep involvement of Jews in the Freedom Struggle, the Cutting of Ties by South Africa with Israel over abuse of Palestinians is simply Pot calling Kettle Black, as the real story out of South Africa is equally as atrocious and infinitely more violent than the actions of the Israelis against the Palestinians. There is only one real response to that action, and it is an explosive!: “What? Are you kidding me?”
South Africa Cuts Ties with Israel Over Abuse of Palestinians
Nelson Mandela’s ideology was hardcore Soviet Communism of USSR fame. I sometimes muse that Mandela’s rainbow nation had all the colors of black and red and the hammer, but nobody ever picked up the sickle.
Mandela was not asked to resign, contrary to the ANC methodology and how they remove Presidents. He left after two terms and took a step up to the throne of Ultimate Icon, the one that the West could point at to convince all that their policies of sanctions and pressure on the White Government were successful. During these years the USSR collapsed, so, it was a nice twist of the knife from the West to display clearly that the West had won the proxy fight over those that the USSR spent money and time training.
“But what about the incredible Truth and Reconciliation process”; people ask me.
The results have been less than stellar and anyone that I find that talks about Truth and Reconciliation is just simply uninformed. The West had a point to prove and thus the Truth and Reconciliation process was marketed. There was little truth, and the history over the past 25 years bears out that there was no reconciliation either. Anyway, the new President Rolling In has announced: “The Time for Reconciliation is Over.” *Remember this phrase, it is more important than you may think.
So, after the freedom election, whites (and Zulus, and Indians and Coloreds) became the minorities. Whites stayed the majority however in one aspect and that is that they were now the hunted, haunted and became the favorite color to murder. (Refer farm murders, ethnic cleansing, land appropriations, braindrain, squatter camps.)
Mandela during his time, rolled upwards out of the Presidency by accepting the Iconic Throne prepared for him by his Western Handlers; smiled and presented incredibly regally, while his speech writers concocted another brilliant and wise uttering by this icon of human rights and honor. But back on the ranch, right on the back 40, the ideology is pure Stalinism. After the ghost writer of Mandela’s Long Walk to Freedom had completed his purging of the manuscript, Mandela’s hatred of the US, and his longing rural landscapes as battlefields and cities as places where one day soon ‘the sweet air will smell of gunfire, elegant buildings will crash down and streets will be splashed with blood’ never made it into print.
http://www.radiofreesouthafrica.com/lost-prison-manuscript-reveals-real-nelson-mandela-2/
The depth of the influence of USSR Communist thinking on the current cadre of the ANC was never aired. The following article is presented without fact checking of statistics. It serves to illustrate only the view that old USSR style Communist Policy Thinking is still deeply inculcated in the current crop of South African state.
What people do not ask me is: “What promises were made to the newly created minorities, Whites and Zulus? Why did the country not actually flame up into violent revolution when Mandela was released from jail?” Well, see, there were these promises, and most people are rational and would share power as long as they felt fine about themselves and their own. Thing is, promises have this quality of being just ephemeral in these circumstances. The West, The Capitalists, The Bleeding Hearts, The Wasps, The Liberals, Those that had a point to prove that Black is Beautiful to justify their sanctions to perhaps prepare their own countries for Cognitive Dissonance and Racial Divides, The Soviets, The Chinese – they won and also lost, in South Africa. Mandela in his Iconic role, kept the country from bursting into violent revolution, and as such started the Long Walk to White Hatred instead of the Short Walk to Revolution.
Did the racists and the apartheid philosophy win or lose? No, this just changed color from Brit (Red) to Boer (White) to African King (Black). (Be very sure that the whites were also guilty of brutalities when it was their turn at the trough and Tribal hatreds do not subside easily).
The whites are still seeking an outcome for themselves and approached the old colonial masters; for example the Netherlands, for a right of return as refugees. The issue is that they cannot prove that they are refugees, or under threat, as formal statistics are not kept. So, the Netherlands said, No Way! No Right of Return for you, you disobedient migrants. http://www.radiofreesouthafrica.com/white-refugees-third-world-barbarism-case-south-africa-part-1/
Many approaches were made at various levels of the UN for land and statehood for the Whites but this was all in vain. The White slaughter is continuing.
Various attempts of establishing white enclaves were made. Most of these failed. There is one fairly successful one, Orania but with no viability in the longer term as this land is equally vulnerable to expropriation.
Land grabs and invasions have started with strong words from the new President. Oh the Irony! It should be clear to all. “Hey, you can’t take that land without permission. Only we can do it!”, can only be the real analysis of the words. http://ewn.co.za/2018/03/12/ramaphosa-no-one-has-right-to-invade-land
At this stage, people would ask me: “But what about solutions?”. There are solutions – and one is to give or negotiate a homeland for Whites with fair access to a port. Pay them fair compensation for their lands and their houses and their businesses, and let them start again on their own territory. There are a number of ways this can be done, for example, a type of federation, or a simple Kingdom such as Swaziland. What has to stop, is the hatred, the killing and the atrocities. Yet, the New President said the *Time for Reconciliation is over. I wonder if you can imagine the depth of the existential threat to life, hearth and home that statement is, for specifically the white minority? To the followers of the ANC, the sub-text may well be something like this: “All perceived legal protections and other protections for the White peoples are now over. We have had sufficient time go by since Madiba’s (Nelson Mandela) death and our respects are now paid to the Icon. And now we may with impunity, kill, slaughter, take and own whatever we like.” Visions of the Kenyan Mau Mau slaughters, the Hutus and Tutsis, and the Zimbabwean land grand comes to mind.
South Africa is a country that was proxied, deceived and then left rudderless by Colonial Masters, then the USSR, then the West. We may as well point the finger to the US who started the cultural war against Apartheid. South Africa’s own White Regime leaders were not wise enough, or were deceived by their Western influences, that they would be rescued. Today China has been shown to play the long game and the Chinese influence is strong in the sub-continent. Russia (in its new form) is also an influence. But, the only reason that South Africa is part of BRICS, is the current crop of leaders harking back to being in thrall to their old Soviet Masters.
Its heartening to see that the Zulus are just refusing to play the land game on traditional Zulu lands.
“King Zwelithini has told provincial traditional leaders in Ulundi that the land under the Ingonyama Trust is an inheritance from their forefathers and the nation is willing to put up a fight.
Zwelithini has reiterated last week’s call for all Zulu people to donate R5 toward a fund that will be used to wage a legal battle if Parliament goes ahead with repealing the Ingonyama Trust Act.”

Part Three: History for Perspective.
a) Short notes on before the 1994 freedom election – from 1948 through to the Freedom Election – the apartheid regime
The Boers/Afrikaners with the National Party won a major election against the Brits in 1948. Power was wrested from the Crown and Queen and now rested in white hands and the Afrikaner Boers started proceedings to become an independent country and their own republic, free from Britain.
That was the moment that the country could have united but the spirit and the habits of colonialism against indigenous black tribes continued; only now in Afrikaner Boer hands with no voting rights for Blacks and Indians and Coloreds (not black, but Colored people who were deprived of their voting rights in 1956).
That was the moment lost, as the Boer or the Afrikaner were so fearful of Red or Black (Communism), that they did not take this ideal time and started working on some method of enfranchisement of and for all South Africans.
The White regime represented only 10% of the country. Whites were ‘Royal Game’, privileged, controlled all systems and businesses and the economy and still continued suppressing the Blacks. This is the time when Apartheid became Weaponized and Institutionalized in law. For example, one could not marry anyone of another color, and sexual relations “across the color-line” was ‘verboten’ with jail sentences and severe social outcasting. The policy of apartheid was given words and form by Dr Hendrik French Verwoerd, in literally one of the most beautiful and poetic documents of State that I have ever read. However, despite the beauty, there is no way that one could put people, even black African people who were considered to be just a tad better than animals and were cheap labor, in large self-managed Black Homelands, with no rights in-country whatsoever. However, one has to look at the converse as well. If a bunch of Afrikaner Boers were placed in these homelands, by some means or other, they would have developed their territories. It is cultural. Apartheid was a good try to keep the Afrikaner Boer in power, and to stem the tides of the Cultural Mismatch, but first the Soviets and then the US, ensured that it would not work. Federalization would have been a good option at the time. The continual Soviet training of dissidents continued and the underlying tensions in the country became visible to those who wanted to see. Chinese training camps existed North of Zimbabwe (still Rhodesia) and the country of Rhodesia became very very dangerous with a visible insurgent war. There was an active border war on the Angolan border fighting Cuban soldiers up into Angola. This was South Africa’s Vietnam with Boetie (little brother) on the Border. The Chinese tactics; the methods up North of Rhodesia were non-human as described by some of the soldiers involved. For example, the Chinese soldiers would kidnap school buses full of young teenagers, subject them to serious mind control and insurgent military training, and those that survived the harsh training were sent back into Rhodesia as insurgents. In the event that someone did not make a good soldier, they were summarily executed. The South African black government in exile established themselves in London, where the previous colonial masters (the Brits), made them welcome.
The average white person in the country of South Africa was mind-controlled and knew nothing. They did not know that the blacks were brutally suppressed, so effective was the system of apartheid in keeping people and specifically knowledge, apart. With a full and complete news blackout and only selected news being reported, the regime was totalitarian, literature was banned, raids and searches for unwanted literature became common, and arrested Black freedom fighters regularly ‘jumped out of windows of high buildings to their death, absolutely of their own accord‘ (or so they said). Later on it was found that the South African State at the time, had its own Dr. Death, cooking up secret chemical and biological warfare cocktails for use in torture and questioning of communist dissidents. It is so that these so-called communist dissidents, were their own countrymen and women, yet, the White Rule somehow could not integrate that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wouter_Basson
As time went on, a low level urban war became apparent with USSR trained insurgents coming back from their years of training. This war became visible in the country. The average South African white was sheltered from this up to the time that bombs started detonating in public places. At least at this time, Nelson Mandela showed some humanity and this bombing campaign that he called, was not aimed at people, but at buildings at that stage. South African soldiers brutalized the “locations” (black shanty towns or black townships) with nighttime raids; buffalo troop carriers with troops kept the Black population in fear and control, and other methods of suppression. The drain of young black people being smuggled up North into places like Libya to be trained as insurgents by the Soviets continued. Everything was effectively segregated; beaches, buses, schools, universities, the workplace and whatever one can think of. There was only one black university in the country.
This could not continue and flamed up and burst out in the 1976 violent school riots or Soweto Riots where the whites became somewhat knowledgeable about the state of the country; but it was all written off to ‘those bastard commies’, or in local parlance ‘die donnerse kommuniste’. White Regime children grew up with 2 dangers; the ‘swart gevaar’ and the ‘rooi gevaar’ the black danger and the red danger. But now, all of a sudden, the whites had to start taking evasive action as vehicles were being stoned; one could not drive underneath a bridge on a highway as stones on ropes were tossed down from the bridge and whites started traveling with weapons.
Western sanctions were declared in the mid-1980’s to pressure the South African government to end apartheid. http://www.econ.yale.edu/growth_pdf/cdp796.pdf
It put the country in a pressure cooker, struggling for currency flow, extreme currency controls, increasingly brutal white totalitarian control, censorship, petrol rationing, and a state of emergency declared by the then President Botha. The sanctions, like in Russia today, only went part way as new industry flourished; many countries were still trading with SA. The country turned to Japanese and French and German vehicles and despite oil sanctions, life went on. Sanctions busting became an overnight sensation and South Africa traded weapons with Israel. Yet, the push by the USSR and Chinese Communist regimes continued inexorably South, from the North.
Sanctions took its toll. South Africa was isolated. FW de Klerk had to bow under pressure and this led to 2 years of negotiations for a transfer of power, the release of Nelson Mandela from Robben Island Prison and subsequent Myth Building and the Freedom Election in 1994. The West proclaimed this as a Western Victory and that they helped to defeat the system of apartheid; but of course it was a clear win for the Communist trained ANC with the West enthusiastically participating and cooperating.
Apartheid, the system of ‘separateness’ was created de facto by the Brits and de jure by the subsequent White Afrikaner Nationalist government.
b) Deep Background
Few people know that there were very few black tribes in SA when the various waves of mainly Dutch and French settlers started arriving. The Portuguese mariner Bartolomeu Dias was the first European to explore the coastline of South Africa in 1488. Dutch Settlers started arriving in larger numbers in 1652 in the Cape to build a supply station for the Dutch East India company. French Protestants followed during the late 1880’s. The Boers migrated slowly to more northern parts and found empty lands. Around the 1800’s, the colony was under English Rule and not even then would the new “Afrikaner Boers ” bow to the Brits and there was still an underlying “Pure Race” beliefset. They started trekking inland in numbers to get free of British control. At the very same time, there was a black tribe migration from Northern points in Africa, to Southern points. These migratory patterns met and exploded in South Africa. The Boers were settler-colonists who founded cities, built farms, trekked overland and developed a sustainable presence on the land. The English were trader-colonists with a different footprint on the land, and a strong connection was kept with Britain. The Black Tribes found all this available land and of course created kingdoms for their tribes. These were migratory people who moved on after a while. The Boer settled the land.
An Historical Novel by James Michener called The Covenant describes these migrations well. Set in South Africa, he traces the migrations of the black tribes, colored peoples, peoples from European descent, the few brown indigenous, as well as slaves from Angola, Indonesia, India, Madagascar and the east Coast of Africa). The novel covers prehistoric times up to the 1970s.
——————–
Anon – I was born in South Africa. I lived a large part of my life in South Africa and part in Zimbabwe. I am a farmer’s child of Boer and Afrikaner (with a little French and perhaps a tad of Brit and for sure a schmear of Black thrown in there) and now I am in exile from a country that does not exist any longer in any real form. My absolutely favorite African animal which I have frequently observed in the wild, is a Giraffe. It stands high to be able to have a clear view of the environment and is a wonderfully elegant but incredibly strong example of creation. It is a peaceful and vegetarian animal unless you disturb it and then it will very damn quick kick you into your next lifetime. My most important great thankfulness is that life allowed me to see all of the big African animals in the wild without hunting them.
Cut through all the dubious analysis in this screed, the underlying message is the same old whine: White Colonizers are the true victims in South Africa!
These are “alternative facts” from the Anglo-Dutch colonialists who ancestors invaded South Africa.
This type of upside-down mentality is typical of the Orwellian West in general (and their colonial spawn), as it allows them to masquerade as “victims” and deny their own continuing crimes.
In geopolitics, this is the same warped Anglo-European mentality that allows them to deluded themselves that the Imperial West is threatened by Russia, China, Iran, Hisbollah, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela–even as Anglo-Americans and Europeans are the nations that have actually bombed, invaded, or raped nations like Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Serbia, and now Syria!
Welcome to the Goebbelsian world of White Victimhood.
Here’s a box of tissue and tiny little violin playing a plaintive sob song for your Pity Party.
You seem to have missed the point that the land belonged to the Boers – before the current Blacks got there. The Blacks are busy turning what was a heavenly place into a hell all of their own.
Should have done what you aussies did to the aboriginal peoples huh?
I was thinking along those lines as I read the article.
Yet, it is not a simple issue.
The reference to uninhabited lands resonated with me. The Brits stole Australia on the basis that it was Terra nullius – the land of no-one – after all, Captain Cook did not see many people, so obviously there were none there.
Except, the density of population does not mean the absence of population or the absence of ‘ownership’ or ‘title’ to the land through countless generations of occupation.
The ‘newcomers’, Brits, Boers ….. took the land without compensation …… on what basis?
On a legal fiction created by the Brit’s and Boers.
So, on continents with 1000s of years of history, 1000s of years of occupation by a peoples, a couple of hundred years is but the sneeze of a dung beetle …… the original owners simply wanted their land back.
I remember in the early 90’s that Mandela came to Australia and white PC-Greenis stood with their fist raised in the ANC salute …. their eyes glistening.
I wondered to myself if they would be so happy if the original owners of Australia took power, and along with it the homes of those PC-Greenies …… I suspect not.
The same PC-Greenies who from the safety of their inner-city terraces in Australia cheered the ‘colour revolution’ in Egypt …… haha …. and it all went back to shit and repression ….. they more things change ….
This is where it gets complicated
In terms of running a country efficiently, the whites seem to have it all over the blacks.
Different cultures I suspect, different priorities ….. who knows??
Yet, it is the original inhabitant’s land, so they can do what they want with it, in my opinion.
Then, it gets more complicated …… just who or what organisation is really pulling the strings?
Free …. Free …. Nelson Mandela
Oh ….. as a whitey, with British heritage, I am quite attached to my home and would not want to see an original inhabitant of Australia take it from me. Oh well …. at least I am an honest PC-Greenie ….. I think
This is where it gets complicated
Actually, not at all. Unless you believe in collective guilt, of course. The truth is that most (all?) states of some size were at least partially built by force and invasion. The key issue is simple: do we accept that representatives of wronged group A use vicious violence against the representatives of wronged group B. It’s really that simple. We are not talking about history or complex political theory. We are talking about murder, rape, torture, kidnapping, etc. As far as I am concerned, to understand the suffering, grievances and worldview ANY group a historical analysis is, of course, crucial. But when dealing with vicious violence, no historical analysis is needed at all, all which is required is the capability of feeling empathy and compassion and a basic sense of decency. All the rest is just a rationalization for unjustifiable evil.

It is simple neo-Liberal expropriation from the small landowners to large multinational corporates. Which group of people are rich enough to own sizeable plots of land but not big enough to take on multinational corporates? The Blacks? No chance. It is the white small land owner. Their land is be taken over to be passed on to MNCs in sweetheart deals. The distracting cover will be the expropriation is being done by SA equivalents of Obomber.
Dear Saker– I agree with you. Just wish to add, what it would seem, was always the nature of humankind!
If one considers human history– as far back as can be substantiated of ancient civilisations, broadly speaking and virtually common to all, was colonization and the wars confluent from it. Stronger nations or empires, conquered lesser states and this occurred all over the world for millennia. Sometimes a conquered nation, would greatly benefit from its colonisation– perhaps a poor and backward nation, its new master, developed, modernised and created infrastructure and educated the people– therewith improving the standard of living.
Thus colonization, ever with Man– occurred all over the planet and also in Africa– where strong nations would colonise weaker ones– so colonisation was not limited to a specific race only, but a standard practice amongst many races. Thus white-on-white colonisation as well as black-on-black colonisation were realities.
Furthermore, deviousness was ever a trait of all humans– such as creating propaganda and false conflicts, in order to weaken a nation, prior to invading and colonising it. Now and then some natural global cataclysm interrupted or either destroyed Man’s affairs and as a new civilisation developed, colonisation inevitably occurred once again– new land masses discovered and or weaker nations colonised by new powers or empires. So what does it tell us about man? That the weakest will always go to the wall— that the mighty and wealthy powers, take what they want and rule–
Africa was therefore easy prey in modern times, as no global power existed in modern day Africa, to defend it against colonising western powers, while within Africa, stronger African states still colonised lessor ones … as I said, either making the life of conquered states a living hell– but in modern day times– say from the 1500 hundreds onwards– conquerors provided the infrastructure required to facilitate the exploitation of natural resources in their colonies and generally, installed a proxy regime to manage it for them.
So, South Africa was only different in that the Afrikaners, once freed from its colonizers, installed a government based on a viciously repressive regime, which they called apartheid and which gave birth to abject hatred and eventually a resistance movement by the downtrodden black masses of the country. Of course Apartheid was rightfully condemned and in the end abolished, which resulted in black majority rule– as well as acceptance of SA’s white minority citizens.
But today Africa, due to its horrendous past at the hands of western colonial imperialists– ignore ancient history– recalling only the powerful ancient civilisations which once existed in Africa– while not admitting that African states too, had colonised the lessor states of Africa, throughout the centuries.
Yes– aware this is all history– but just wished to try and add a bit of historical perspective here– that it is the nature of Man– no matter what race, culture or creed, he may belong to– to relish power and colonise the weaker amongst it. In a way, one can liken it either to hostile takeovers or mergers and acquisitions! — Its life.
Therefore, there will be white South Africans who will stand up and fight for the land/property they’d legally acquired and the culture they adhere to. Then again, there will be whites, in the position to finally leavve SA and emigrate to safer horizons. Whereas the majority of whites, without the finance to do so– would probably, either go and live in Orania (ha! ha!)– or regarding themselves as stateless persons, have no other option but to apply for asylum in safer countries. That is how I see the long and short of it– but definitely to me, a civil war in South Africa looks highly likely.
Cut through all the dubious analysis in this screed, the underlying message is the same old whine: White Colonizers are the true victims in South Africa!
You might not even realize it, but besides being stupid, your comment is also racist. Why? Because for a normal, spiritually healthy human being, innocent victims have no color. The author, unlike you, does not separate “politically correct victims” from “politically incorrect” victims. Furthermore, when you write of the “Welcome to the Goebbelsian world of White Victimhood” you imply that Whites begin victims is by definition impossible, which is not only self-evidently illogical, but also fantastically ignorant. You might want to at least read one or two books by Colin Flaherty (https://www.amazon.com/Colin-Flaherty/e/B0060QA2OW/) to see that White victims of Black violence is not only a reality in South Africa, but also in the USA.
Here’s a box of tissue and tiny little violin playing a plaintive sob song for your Pity Party
Yup, that’s exactly the mentality behind all the evils of our world: utter, contemptuous indifference to somebody else’s suffering. Make no mistake, next time you see some horror in your TV, some genocide, false flag bombing, a terror campaign of some kind, etc. – make sure you know that what you are looking at is YOU. YOU and your ideological blindness is the cause and the enabler of this all. This world belongs to you – you created it in your image and likeness.
Please don’t pollute this blog with your presence any more. Keep your bigotry and hatred for yourself.

Why do we always have the same pattern, Australia was not inhabited before the WHites Arrived. North America was sparsely inhabited before the white man arrived. Africa was sparesly inhabited before the whiteman arrived.
This argument of so called precedence is getting tiresome.
The situation in South Africa was bound to happen, sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, the writers of history are those who have genocided the locals, and using that same historical references left by hte genociders several centuries later that no one lived on the land is a bit of a circular argument.
Let us stick to discussing the imperial war on Russia and the Middle East and not open another can of worms by venturing into Africa where such analyses, though they venture in their own way, hardly paint any picture apart from the same imperialists picture the Saker so decries when it is the Case of Russia.
Saker, for the case of fairness, kindly invite a black South African to provide his/her own point of view, and a very different story will clearly appear here. And it is the same all over Africa.
Regards
@ Tirius:
In the case of South Africa specifically there was no genocide of black South Africans by Boers – ever. This is a historical fact – if you can prove otherwise, please present it. However a lot of white Boer women and children (approx. 26000) as well as black South Africans (unknown amount – accurate records were not kept by the British on that, but it may have been substantial) died in British concentration tramps during the Anglo Boer war.
Here is a documentary about that:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz2FoHyVpRE
The Boers built South Africa, and now it is devolving back to what it was before they came. You can call the blacks victims if you like, but in reality their “victimhood” is self-inflicted.
I was one of the great white exodus from South Africa that began as a flight from the Apart-hate regime in the 1950s, and accelerated when it changed into a flight from the Rainbow Nation in the 1990s. I have not kept in touch, and am not political, so know nothing of political currents. But I record two impressions from a recent brief visit to my family who are also not political. Firstly, what a relief to have got rid of the old official Apart–hate and Israeli style ethnic segregation into “territories”. Secondly, how sad to see a prediction from my student days come true: ethnic equality in Law did not translate into equality of income. Poverty is still rife.
In 1994 the Jewish Communist ANC Leader, Daniel Baruch Goldberg (Dennis Goldberg), was asked by an apprehensive BBC interviewer: “Will South Africa now become a Communist paradise?”.
Dennis answered, “I would like that, but no, it will remain a Capitalist paradise”.
Follow the money. Who owns the mines, the banks, the businesses, the mortgages? Probably the same corporations that used to own them under the Apart-hate regime. I heard some years ago from an old kibbutznik that many South Africans who had fled to the kibbutz were returning. But I may be out of date, and they are now fleeing to some other Land of Opportunity.
Re: the author’s wish to retire to some White Homeland, carved out from the Rainbow Nation; Good Luck! but I think he will find that the age of Afrikaner Voortrekkers, American Pioneers and Jewish (or Kurdish) Homelands is past. This is the Age of the Internet: “Only connect” with your fellow cre’tures (the humans as well as the giraffe).
@EVERYBODY: I have to say that I am profoundly shocked and, frankly, disgusted by how some comments posted here appear to be completely indifferent to the very real suffering of a large group of people simply because they happen to have the wrong skin color, wrong historical heritage or wrong political label placed upon them. I find that absolutely disgusting and most depressing. If YOUR child, wife or brother was brutally murdered, raped and tortured by vicious thugs you would probably not want to explain that away by going on a long political tangent. You would see their tears, their suffering, their humiliation and have compassion for them, no? Unless you are a true psychopath that is.
My feeling is that ideology turns us all into psychopath, completely unable to feel compassionate love which might be the most beautiful and precious feeling any human heart can feel.
So let me speak only for myself here. If the world we live in reacts with “Here’s a box of tissue and tiny little violin playing a plaintive sob song for your Pity Party” then I will accept that box of tissue and this little violin as a precious gift and I will sob with those who, in your cold, indifferent, reptilian eyes are unworthy of anything more than these expressions of contempt.

The Situation in South Africa as far as farm attacks are concerned is two fold. There IS two sides to this story, and it just so happens that the other side is one of the same type of brutality on farm workers by the said farmers or their families who are being attacked and murdered. One of the most famous farm attacks/murders was that of Eugene Terreblanche, a far right ideologue, who brutally beat his farm handlers, and sodomised some of the handlers’ children.
Also, attacks on farmers, is not a race issue, as this article suggests:
http://www.702.co.za/articles/278024/more-black-farm-workers-are-killed-than-white-farm-workers,
Terreblance was an aberation. We get those everywhere. We had one called Hitler not so long ago in our history.
Farm workers don’t get killed by farm owners. An experienced farm worker is an asset and the farms are so big that they need experienced farm workers. I grew up on farms and not even us terrorized our farm workers.
Where do you get your information from? CNN? The UK Telegraph? The “Indepent” Newspapers group in South Africa? Eugene Terreblanche was no angel and had a criminal record for assault, but to take the words of the murderers who brutally killed him at face value… “He sodomised me so we murdered him”. Yeah right. Clearly jurisprudence is not one of your strengths.
It never ceases to amaze me that people on this forum and other “alternative” media such as RT seem to have some sort of cerebral disconnect when it comes to South Africa. They know most of what the media tells them about Syria, Russia etc. is a lie, but mention a White South African and suddenly the mainstream media is a paragon of truth and White South Africans are all evil and deserve to die horribly – notice the inherent racism?
As a White South African, I can tell you that most of us are Christian. In fact I am starting to think we have a lot in common with the Russians and if I get time I would like to do an article for this blog on this subject. Our upbringing was to treat the Blacks kindly but firmly. Many farmers have built schools on their farms for the workers and often the Farmer’s wife teaches at the school or they pay for a teacher.
How about the Schutte Family (German speaking South Africans of German descent). How would you like to come back from Germany and discover the dead bodies of your brother, mother and father, murdered by the son of your domestic worker? The Schutte family paid for his education. See https://southafricatoday.net/south-africa-news/murderer-was-part-of-family/
Seeing as White South Africans are now “non-persons” how about the Austrian-born nun, Gertrud Tiefenbacher who was raped and murdered in the convent at Ixopo?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3083494/Two-men-raped-murdered-86-year-old-nun-convent-lived-jailed-life-South-Africa.html
Have a look at this link too – just the tip of the iceberg. 3000+ White Farmers and 60 000 Whites murdered since 1994
https://southafricatoday.net/media/south-africa-photo/farm-attack/nine-gruesome-farm-attacks-that-shocked-south-africans/
he Situation in South Africa as far as farm attacks are concerned is two fold. There IS two sides to this story, and it just so happens that the other side is one of the same type of brutality on farm workers by the said farmers or their families who are being attacked and murdered.
Yes, agreed. And that is why BOTH sides deserved to be heard, especially the victims, especially when the victimization is continuing as we discuss this here. Look, I am under NO illusions about White South African racism, I listened to Terreblanche’s speeches (I understand Afrikaans pretty enough for that), and I know all the racist crap (including Biblical arguments) some Afrikaners spewed to defend their claims. But that is a fallacy. Hitler for sure was an evil racist megalomaniac. Does that justify in incineration of Dresden?!
The fact that some White were clearly racists (and the author does NOT deny that) that does not mean that I don’t find value in hearing the voice of those White South Africans who are victimized, dispossessed, murdered, raped, savagely tortured, etc. today. I profoundly believe that ALL victims deserve respect, even non-innocent ones, but ESPECIALLY innocent ones and I don’t believe in guilt by association.
Look at what the real message of so many commentators here: the Afrikaners had it coming – now they can cry me a river, fuck them!
That is a “logic” which I personally will never EVER accept and I don’t care if I get an entire deluge of accusatory comments against my stance.
As for the historical facts about who came first to these lands, this is a very interesting and valuable academic discussion which I do not oppose as long as it is not used (by any side) to justify violence.
The Saker
Dear Saker
Thank you for an excellent blog. Well done for having the courage to host articles about South Africa on your blog. Seemingly the term “White South African” has the same effect on peoples’ brains as shouts of “Nazi! Racist!” i.e. all critical thought ceases and programmed responses take over.
Firstly I would like to point out that Eugene Terreblanche was an extremist and represented a fraction of a percentage of White South Africans. Secondly, as regards hearing the side of the farm workers… let us examine a possible list of complaints that a farm worker might have against a farmer. 1. He fired me. 2. He underpaid me. 3. He assaulted me. 4. He evicted me illegally. All of these delicts have recourse in law. It would be a very, very foolish farmer who assaulted his farm worker given the ensuing media frenzy. Whether the farmer did this in fact or not is immaterial to the media – allegations are fine for the media. Perhaps it will be helpful for your readers to insert the word “Russian” every time they see “White South African” then they will start to get some level of understanding. There is perfectly adequate recourse to labour unions, CCMA, the police, courts etc. for any infractions by farmers and of course these organisations will be sympathetic to the farm worker and will prosecute at no expense to the farm worker. I fail to see how murdering and torturing White Farmers can have any possible justification in the minds of anyone except a demented Libtard.
Finally, I would like to invite all those who say “Whites stole the land” and “Whites Genocided the Blacks” to provide examples to back up these platitudes. Hint: 1901 Census – 1 million Whites and between 1 and 3 million Blacks. Today there are 4 million Whites and around 35 million Blacks – looks like Apartheid and “Genocide” were not so effective as the media would have us believe eh? How 1 million subsistence farmers could have occupied the entirety of a land mass that is the size of Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, etc. put together, much of which is not arable, is entirely beyond me. However, no leap of faith and a pig-headed unwillingness to let facts cloud the issue is too much for Cultural Marxist Libtards and their ilk.
Hello Saker,
There are many aspects to the “who came first” question and since you invite information in this I can recommend a couple of sources: South Africa actually consisted of a much larger area originally under British rule and if some of the other parts did not become independent African countries, black people in today’s S.A. would have had more land – see link for map – then there is the demographic growth issue – the more the black population grows in comparison to the white population the more blacks would feel they own less – look at demographic census results for around 1900 compared to today.
It would seem that much of this land issue is based on envy – the fact the whites settled a lot of the land first that was unoccupied AT THAT TIME, centuries ago, today generates a very deep feeling of resentment, because the African population in South Africa has grown so large that on the face of it it does seem unfair to them – to the extent that facts and context of that time are simply ignored.

Saker,
You have been taken in by a propaganda campaign. This ‘white genocide on Boers/Afrikaaners’ story is very clearly a divide and rule and obfuscation of reality. You have to truly understand the forces and power elite in South Africa before being taken in by the author above.
The Afrikaaners did genocide and were themselves genocided, etc, etc. That is history. I know as a South African Indian (now in Australia) personally that the Afrikaaners that did not leave to America/UK/Australia/Canada/New Zealand were determined to stay and make the country work. I also know that criminals even in the 1990s were attacking, brutally, white South Africans, in farms and in cities.
However, the problem with above analysis is that Afrikaaners are (and were from the beginning) not alone in being murdered, drugged and generally degraded and destroyed. This has happened across the board to all races. In my immediate family, I have had several people outright shot. All races are being murdered and brutalised, the statistics can say what they like, I keep in contact with my family and I know the story on the ground from personal visits.
South Africa just came through a massive several years campaign to regime change the president. Think on that for a moment – who has the resouces to mobilise such a movement as was set against the president. Then this radical bill of land redistribution straight after.
Also, as Dr. NG Maroudas states above, who owns the economy, from mines to everything else? Who owns the media? “The blacks”? Maybe our above author could try to convince you of this, but there are records and I suggest you look at them if needed for clarification. Short answer, again as Dr. NG Maroudas alluded to above, its the same families of elites that owned all during apartheid. Many of them live here in Australia and run their businesses through intermediaries. And they have a tribe as well, but it is not black.
I suspect your author is either a useful assistant to the propagandists, whatever their intentions, genuine or otherwise. But truly, this a just another deception.
You are an excellent analyst Saker. I expect that as time passes you will see the patterns clearly and know the truth of the situation.
Regards,
Student
p.s. if nobody else volunteers, I will volunteer my time to point by point rebutt the above as perpetuates old colonial myths and lies. Especially the ‘nobody was in Southern Africa’ nonsense. I was educated in the old apartheid/colonial system and that was the nonsense they pushed, despite all evidence to the contrary. Next thing they’ll be telling me Africa is a smaller continent than Europa, which was another line they pushed in colonial times (up to 1990s for South Africa).
You have been taken in by a propaganda campaign.
My God, what is wrong with you people today?! I am not endorsing anything Anon wrote. I post this here first as a *testimony* and, second, as a basis for what I would hope would be an intelligent discussion from people who would appreciate that a blogger who is constantly accused of being “anti-White” (last time only 24 hours ago!) actually published a testimony about the suffering of a forgotten group of White people.
In my worst nightmares I would not have expected so much ideological bigotry as a reaction to what is nothing else but the (well-written) point of view of a person whose honesty and sincerity I don’t doubt.
I guess that after years of being called “anti-White” I will be now “upgraded” to White supremacist.
The worst of it all? Nobody seems to actually interested in discussing the article. Accusations, slogans, ad hominems, etc.
That is a massive disappointment to me and a painful, but probably much needed, eye opener for me. And I thought I had already seen it all….
The Saker
Saker,
I am not sure where ideological bigotry lay in my above response. I am interested in the truth of any particular situation, not ideology.
Several things said by above author are outright lies invented during colonial times. I would not be called a bigot for pointing that out.
Student

Okay, then feel free to post a rebuttal here, in the comments section, or to write an article which I will post separately. In fact, I would be most grateful for that. But only as long as you refrain from using intellectually dishonest pseudo-arguments
“You have been taken in by a propaganda campaign” – ad hominem
“This ‘white genocide on Boers/Afrikaaners’ story is very clearly a divide and rule and obfuscation of reality” – unsubstantiated
“I know as a South African Indian (now in Australia) personally” – argument from authority
” In my immediate family, I have had several people outright shot. All races are being murdered and brutalised” non sequitur
etc. etc. etc.
If you are able/willing to write a fact based and logical rebuttal, I will gladly post it, either here or as a separate article.
The Saker
I think the poster below, Johan Meyer, has clarified several points that I wished to address. A very learned poster to be sure, far more so than myself.
As for the rest of it, I choose to walk away from this article. I have no sources in academic or news, and as such I am probably unable to substantiate anything. To find said sources and rebutt in an academic journal manner would take far too much time, considering the nonsense available at the moment (I did research this earlier today, to have a look at the lay of the land). However, sometimes one may find sources outside of written language that may be very difficult to believe or understand if one only goes by what is written about South Africa, past or present, in academic and media. You would find a similar situation, no doubt, when looking up Russia or Ukraine, for example.
I have only one thought process to pose to all. Follow the money. Who controls the economy of South Africa now and before? Who controls the ANC elite? Who made them rich? And what is the purpose of this current campaign of destabilisation in South Africa based on identity politics? I do not have the answer, I can only read the roses and smell the tea leaves, as it were.
@ Student
“The Afrikaaners did genocide… ”
I’m sorry, but this narrative needs to be challenged – could you provide any historical references to Afrikaners committing genocide against anyone? Rather the black population grew at such a rate due to the implementation of first world infrastructure by the Afrikaners and with the natural drop of mortality rates of black South Africans due to hospitals, clinics, etc that Apartheid was created as a method of population (movement) control – it was the only way that the then government thought that they could manage to plan for the future population explosion in SA while – that was the main reason for Apartheid.
The fact that you say you don’t live in South Africa. But instead left for Australia kind of says it all. From the safety of Australia its nice to be able to write about how wrong the author is. The smell of hypocrisy is strong on the blog today.
Uncle Bob,
Why I left South Africa is none of your concern.
Why not address facts and analysis instead of nonsense attacks.
Student
No personal attacks. Any further will go to trash. Can everyone calm down please and discuss the article. Mod
I kinda got the hypocrisy thing lol.
I agree with you. The problem here is the statistics as no statistics about minorities are being kept as you would know. (Of course, anyone with the name of Gupta will probably have some problems now).
Like you, I keep in touch with family and know the story on the ground. I would be glad to see the ‘colonial myths’ which were not the focus of this writing, dismissed on a scholarly level. I can dismiss a few of those myself, but some of then were actually written.
Hi your writer – I’m totally on your side – everything that you said is corroborated by my tenant – its extremely serious –
My heart goes to those poor sweet people that are taking care of each other because they have nowhere else to go and the country they live in – not only doesn’t help them –
Whites can’t get jobs – whites can’t find anywhere to live – whites don’t get social assistance of any kind – AND there’s violence against them on every corner –
Its like the animals in the food industry – no laws protect them. NONE
@ Student
“However, the problem with above analysis is that Afrikaaners are (and were from the beginning) not alone in being murdered, drugged and generally degraded and destroyed. This has happened across the board to all races”
The problem is that the murder rate of white farmers is disproportionate to the rest of the population – several times more – more than SA police officers – and in most cases there is severe torture involved. The fact that this is ignored or avoided in these debates is truly sickening – and often people are even saying that farmers are “crying victim”… is that normal??. They are clearly a vulnerable group and denying them that status leads to them dying at a much higher rate than the average South African regardless of race. In that sense there is a slow “genocide” happening, because there is a clear trend of targeting one group more than others alongside the systematic denial that it is happening regardless of statistics:
Here is a recent in-depth analysis of farm murders in S.A:
http://politicsweb.co.za/opinion/farm-murder-blindness
@Saker. To prevent misunderstanding, pray allow me to expand on what I meant by “Only connect”! with your fellow human beings. I mean precisely, “try to regard each human life as an end in itself” — or in old fashioned language, “Love thy neighbour”. Hatred, murder and theft are hatred, murder and theft – whether committed in a White Homeland, a Jewish homeland or a Rainbow Nation; and should be publicly condemned as repugnant to public morality. Modern South Africans are precisely in the same situation as modern English, French, US, Australian, Nordic or Ukrainian citizens: up against an immoral Leadership, whose Lies and Corruption lead to strife and distract attention from the real problems of these countries.
Saker, again you humble me with your humanity and compassion. I’m also most surprised (although i shouldn’t be) that you at least understand Afrikaans, not my native language but a beautiful one nonetheless. My daughter is in an Afrikaans school and the culture is truly uplifting. Poetry, music, artistic expression of all sorts is core to the Afrikaners, and is a distillation of what is best in European culture.
The comments here are directly supporting the author’s assertion that:
“The issue is obscured, talked around, suppressed, sanctioned, censored and otherwise obfuscated until a state of cognitive dissonance sets in”
I wholeheartedly endorse this highly accurate and impartial article and thank you for sharing your platform, as you do. Having just finished your most recent article “When dealing with a bear, hubris is suicidal” and think of the introduction where you state: “lies, willful ignorance, hypocrisy, and hysterics.”
These exact features are highlighted in this discussion and in the South Africa question generally. I’ve long believed that SA is a test tube for Europe, and given the unfolding events there, i am more certain than ever.
A few points i’d like to add, not made clear in the article above:
SA was nothing until gold and diamonds were found. It then took 500 000 british soldiers to subdue this land against a handful of boers. Once the “scorched earth campaign” complete with concentration camps for women and children was successful the reserve bank system was implemented and remains to this day. The minerals stolen to London over the last century has funded a majority of London’s subsequent international ventures, and deBeers remains untouchable and unaccountable for the misery they have profited from.
ANY discussion of “poverty” in sub saharan Africa is a wilfully ignorant perspective devoid of any value. Sadly, the UK directed bantu leaders refuse to address their paymasters crimes. Lord Renwick is a direct advisor to Malema, who has undergone intense political refinement since meeting with Renwick.
I would also like to comment on the vast numbers of expatriates who have left SA. The horrific truth is that most families only left after having been subjected to a single outrageously horrific crime. Murder, rape, hijacking, home invasion, etc. We who remain do not feel anything but sympathy and a fair amount of envy, as thanks to the continued destruction of the economy, only the wealthiest can afford to leave.
Last: Apartheid was the acknowledgement that all tribes are not the same, and that separation and integration have 2 different outcomes. The apartheid government provided millions of rands in support to the various tribes, including providing massive swaths of fertile land for self governance. There was never any mass killing of blacks, no white on black genocide. The ANC in exile was responsible for more deaths of ANC members than the apartheid government ever was.
The labelling of the apartheid era as “evil” is complete nonsense. Misguided and deluded in many ways perhaps, but it produced the most prosperous and peaceful era in the known history of Africa for an overwhelming majority of people in this country of all tribes.
I have 4 children who are facing what the future will bring, and yet i don’t have any hope of a peaceful future. There are those black and white who want war, who want blood and they want their perceived gold. They will bring their violence and hatred and stupidity to my kids, and that is not my children’s fault, nor mine even. My purpose is to leave this beautiful country before the violence comes, we see it coming and know what it will bring.
peace Saker.
@Mr.Saker
Happy for your warm reaction and sensibility. Among the blind even the cross-eyed is a king.
@everybody with sensibility
Matthew (5:43-47).
Dear Saker
Come to South Africa and observe for yourself who is suffering and who is making more money now than they ever did during apartheid days. I really respect your opinion but on the issue of South Africa, you seem not to have a clue. Poverty affects all, black and white and it is not the exclusive domain of white victim hood.
It looks like a thoughtful and well researched analysis of South African history.
But, I think the author (claiming Anonymity explains a lot about him/her ) is over exaggerating the issue of farm attacks by labeling the situation as “White Ethnocide”. Most white South Africans who left South Africa would look for a justifiable reason for emigrating, and running away from the mess which they helped to create. That is, a Society that is in healing from the scars of an Oppressive regime, for which they benefited handsomely.
The claim that “most white South Africans did not know that blacks were brutally oppressed”, is being economical with the truth.I am a South African who grew up during the Apartheid years, and I can safely say that there was enough information in the media to prove the brutality of the Apartheid government on people of color. Those who claim they didn’t know, turned a bind eye to what was going on in South Africa, because said brutality occurred far from their comfy ,protected lives in white Surburbia.
The attack on farmers, and the “crime rate” perfectly fits their excuse for leaving a country where privileges enjoyed during apartheid became a thing of the past. While farm murders are a problem in this country, it’s certainly not a situation of “Ethnic cleansing” as the author would have readers believe.
The one real fact that was mentioned only fleetingly, in the article is the continual violence and murder of farm workers by the same farmers who are being targeted, see http://www.enca.com/south-africa/bronkhorstspruit-farmers-accused-of-beating-girl-9-in-court. There are many of these cases which do not reach the media, due to cover-ups and fear-mongering by farmers towards their farm workers.
Contrary to the author’s claims of increasing violent crimes in South Africa, the following statistics prove the declining rates of various categories of crimes since the “Freedom Elections in 1994”. While there has been a slow down in the decrease of crime in the last few years, it can solely be attributed to the Zuma Administration, for obvious reasons.
While the author shows an impressive knowledge of South Africa and Southern African history, the article is nothing more than an attempt to gather support and sympathy for a South African minority whose privileges have been taken away, to be shared among ALL South Africans. How else can you describe a “South African” who proposes a homeland only for whites, and separated from the rest of South African Society. Orania is a typical example of what people, like the author, wants. A world away from the rest, as in the old Apartheid times in White Surburbia.
(By the way, Anon, See my name below)
claiming Anonymity explains a lot about him/her
Meh. You are writing that on the blog of a person who also tried to remain anonymous and whose real identity was made public as the result of a betrayal for a person I should not have trusted. So by that logic my own anonymity “explains a lot about me” and one is free to imply/suggest any number of things about me on this basis.
That you would have to resort to that kind of ad hominem says, I think, a lot about you :-P
Cheers,
The Saker
While the author shows an impressive knowledge of South Africa and Southern African history, the article is nothing more than an attempt to gather support and sympathy for a South African minority whose privileges have been taken away, to be shared among ALL South Africans. (By the way, Anon, See my name below)
Orania is specifically handled in the writing as not viable. Did you read that? This author does not want that for reasons that have not been mentioned even. Why should you put words in my mouth?
White Suburbia never featured for me. I am from the farms. Did you read that? The food producers of the land is where I am from.
If you are so keen to share among ALL South Africans why are minorities legislatively excluded from the workforce? These are not children where you break the candy in even pieces for everyone you know. Society does not work like that. There are brutal murders going on and I don’t wish that for anyone. Should the murder rate for white farmers be shared by ALL so that ALL are killed in the same ratio? See how inane such a presentation becomes.
The point is here that the hatreds are deep. Separation is one solution. Swaziland is separate. Botswana is separate and nobody blames them for being separate and wanting to be separate.
Really, I wonder if you read one word?
Let’s deal with the Anon. Do you know how many black people and white people at the extremes of the curves would want to do away with me for writing what I wrote? And I am not yet willing to share myself among ALL for a killing that ALL may fairly share in. Sorry.
The problem with tribalism in much of Africa is that the deep hatred that runs among tribes (from the African perspective whites are also considered a tribe) go so deep – and leads to such violence – that in fact the only way to protect one-self as a group is to either have a form of segregation, or to have a rather repressive regime… In that sense Africa is not so different from parts of the Middle East..
Afrikaners knew this very well – and even if the majority of Afrikaners disagreed with Apartheid (they didn’t agree with many of the policies and methods of the Apartheid state), they knew that the end of it would very likely lead to their demise as a culture group… yet, even so, by voting in a referendum prior to the 1994 handover for one-man-one-vote to be allowed they put morality above survival instincts – they are Christians first, after all. They also got tired of being considered the absolute pariah’s of the world.
So how is their moral/ethical decision working out for them now – and what is their reward?
My god Saker. This author pushes the myth of unoccupied land. Just like the lands of America and Australia were bereft of natives… The natives were killed or conquered.
I am South African of Indian background.
Readers should know all races are dying in South Africa, not just Afrikaaners. This article is pushing a sinister narrative. The land was taken. Taken everywhere. Land reform us well overdue. Mugabe tried it and became a pariah and Zimbabwe’s economy was wrecked.
As for Zuma leaving office. First, how dare you call a political party a tribe. You, sir Anon the author, I do not have words for such behaviour. Your words damn yourself.
how dare you call a political party a tribe
Bwahahahahah!!! Like there is not such thing out there as a tribe-based political party?
My God, are you really that ignorant, or do you think that the rest of us are?
The Saker
Saker,
South Africa is not Kenya, for example. The ANC is not a tribe, it incorporates members from many tribal groups. You are attacking all over the place anyone who disagrees with Anon, the author of the post. Why such attacks?
I repeat, ANC is not tribal based. Everybody in South Africa knows this. The author used the word “tribe” racially.
Please, I would rather not be called rascist for pointing that out. Rather, look at the history of the ANC, the formation, factions, post 1994 factions. But please do not presume rascism when logic is the only force at work.
Student
How about Inkatha? Not tribal based either?
What about the AWB? Not tribal based either?
Oh, its only the ANC which is not tribal based then, right?
The reality is that ALL of South African politics is tribal based and that is pretty much inevitable considering what environment Apartheid created.
Now I will concede that the ANC is the least tribal based simply because it is the one which had the strongest ideological (as opposed to tribal/ethnic) profile. From what I remember, Xhosas are only about 1/4 of the ANC membership, but that does not change the fact that as a rule political parties in South Africa ARE tribal-based and do the bidding of specific tribes.
By the way, nothing unique to SA here. Just look at the Middle-East or the Caucasus for that matter :-)
The Saker
https://citizen.co.za/opinion/opinion-columns/1394923/race-ethnicity-to-dominate-anc-succession-battle/
The Saker – just a small point – South Africa was tribal based long before Apartheid. Tribalism is simply the nature of Africa and Afrikaners became a tribe, because that was the nature of the environment that molded them into becoming “the white tribe of Africa” – they assimilated with their environment. Apartheid was meant to be a solution for all tribes to develop naturally and separately – that was what the homelands were about – in other words for tribes to maintain their cultural integrity.
Some interesting interpretations. The original inhabitants of South Africa were the KhoiKhoi (Hottentots), who were pastoralists, and the San (bushmen), who were hunter gatherers. In fact, the San are the true indigenous inhabitants of South Africa, while the KhoiKhoi were the first settlers, but the term KhoiSan is a general unifying term describing both groups.
Later settlers to South Africa were the Whites who landed in the west and the Blacks who moved down the east. The essentially stone age KhoiSan were caught between the gunpowder age Whites in the west and the iron age Blacks in the east. By the time the Whites moving from west to east reached the Orange river in the interior (more or less in the middle of South Africa), the Blacks moving from east to west had also reached the Orange river. In the South, the Eastern Cape, the Whites had already encountered the Black Xhosa tribe, at one of the rivers there.
So the east of South Africa (the high rainfall area) was definitely not unoccupied by Blacks when the Whites reached those areas. What did happen in the interior though was that the Zulus had butchered most of the tribes there so the Boers encountered relatively little resistance from the remnants of the Black tribes there. Then Boers then went all Israeli with their own version of a land without a people for a people without a land and their bible told them that Blacks were their servants and so didn’t actually require land or anything and so eventually South Africa ended up with the situation of 10% owning 90% of the land.
The real downfall of South Africa was when the Boers deprived the Coloureds (various mixtures predominantly of the KhoiSan flavour, few straight Black / White crosses) of their English given voting rights soon after the Afrikaner Nationalists took over in 1948, had they instead extended the voting rights to all including Blacks South Africa would have been a very different place today. Had South Africa taken a different path then when the gold was still plentiful South Africa could have ruled Africa.(The Coloureds actually voted for the Boers because they thought the Boers were more honest than the English but thats a story for another day).
So instead of taking strong measures when the going was easy (giving the vote to all when gold was plentiful), it happened that strong measures were only taken when the going was downhill (giving the vote to all when the gold was virtually finished). Apartheid survived only while the gold lasted.
The Boers really stuffed up, I would take what they say with a large pinch of salt.
But with Mugabe gone in Zimbabwe and now Zuma gone in South Africa, the situation can only get better, no-one can do worse than those two. And yes, South Africa is going to crash one day, but Europe and the USA are probably going to crash before South Africa does.
The Boers really stuffed up, I would take what they say with a large pinch of salt.
In my opinion they did, yet, it is not so simple. And to not want to hear out any voice and ‘take what they say with a pinch’ of salt, smacks a little bit of group punishment.
I told you the 2 opportunities that I saw where the Boers could have made a difference in the Sub-Continent. Did you see that piece? They did not and that is history.
As for most of the rest of the comment, I agree.
What group punishment? That group has never been punished. Its more a matter of previously I had to listen to what Boers had to say so now I don’t listen to what Boers have to say. Its like “bubbles from a sunken (old) world” to me.
“The Saker” blog has readers in South Africa, like me, for example. This kind of ridiculous article kills your credibility.
Well, I sure hope that my credibility does not depend on posting consensual, uncontroversial, majority-approved articles. If it does, then I really hope to lose it.
In fact, I can make you this promise:
I will go out of my way to never EVER be “credible” in any manner. All the credibility in the universe weighs less in my heart that the suffering of an single innocent person.
And if that’s outside your comfort zone, then I suggest that you avoid me and this blog like the plague because I never yielded an inch to White racists and I sure ain’t gonna yield to anti-White racists either :-P
Cheers,
The Saker
Everybody is dying in South Africa. Not just whites or Boers in particular. Why focus on one part of the population and make them seem somehow exceptional in their dying. Why not discuss all of it. The whole situation and all the racial groups.
Nobody is ignoring anything.
The fact that this author chose to write about Whites does not imply that Blacks are ignored.
This is not a zero-sum game.
Still,
I will say that Black South Africans get a lot more attention and sympathy than Whites
and that is grossly unfair.
That is why I am personally so happy to have published this article and to hell with those who condemn me for it!
The Saker
That will take a few books. We are talking about violence that is very close to State Sponsored with Genocided proportions. (No, it is not only I that say so, genocide watch says so too). That is why it is exceptional and that is why we are talking about it. Genocidewatch.com has South Africa at Stage 6.
South Africa- Stage 6: Polarization
Victims: Whites, Boers, Immigrants
Killers: Xenophobes, Marxist Racists
Yeah, but that is, alas, a totally worthless source. Look at their entry for Russia:
——-
Russia- Stage 7: Preparation and Stage 10: Denial
Victims: Ingush, Chechens are persecuted
Killers: Russian Army
Victims: ” Class Enemies”, Ukrainians, Minorities
Killers: NKGB, KGB, Gulags, Komsomol
——-
Ingush and Chechens?! Class warfare?
Nevermind that neither the NGKB nor the KGB exists.
And what does the (non-existing) Komsomol had to do with genocide?
these guys are using some very strong drugs to come up with that kind of nonsense.
sorry :-(
Kind regards,
The Saker
Let us examine the facts. It’s difficult because the government refuses or is incapable of keeping accurate statistics.
60 000 – 80 000 Whites have been murdered by Blacks since 1994, including 3000 – 4000 White Farmers… (sound of crickets chirping).
Now let us invert reality.
60 000 – 80 000 Blacks have been murdered by Whites since 1994, including 3000 – 4000 Black Farmers… (strong men faint, people rush into the streets in panic, metrosexuals tear off their shirt pockets, people with no other income are paid by George Soros to wave banners and placards ).
This argument that “everybody” (people of all races) is murdered in South Africa is a red herring, a deflection of the reality.
1.) White people, and particulary farmers in South Africa are disproportionally targetted. There is no evidence to support a different conclusion.
2.) The South African government stopped keeping records of attacks on farms, and white farmers.
3.) The attacks on white people and on farmers are committed 99.9% by black people. It is hard to find a single case of a group of white people attacking and murdering anyone else in South Africa. The same for almost all the violent crime in South Africa – it is committed by black people. Black on black crime, black on white crime. Black on indian, etc. The majority of the population is black, yet violent crime is vastly dispropirtionately committed by black people against the rest of the population.
4.) The victims of the attacks are raped, tortured and murdered in very grusome ways. In many cases nothing is stolen. The victims are attacked because of their skil color – for being white.
5.) Black on black violent crime is in most cases robbery, or xenophobia. It is not race related.
6.) The white population in South Africa is speaking out against violent crime in general. They held a peaceful mass demonstration against violent crime, which was initiated and reaction to a spree of farm murders.
When did the black population, the coloured or the Indian population if South Africa stand up and demonstrate against crime in South Africa? Any examples? Why criticize the white population, who is disproportiontely affected by violent crine, from speaking out against it? As an outside observer, it smacks of systematic governmental and intetnasiobal “sanctions” perpetuated against the white population of South Africa. A counter-argument of “peopke of all races in South Africa is affected by crime” is irrational. The white population has an inalienable right to call attention to the voilence. They have an inalienable right to protect their life and property and demand protection from the government. People of all races have that right. If the black population is content with the inaction of the government to protect the population , which tbry seem to be since they keep on re-electing the ANC government, then they still have no right to silence those that desire to live peacefully. Whites protesting the violence should be commended by all and in no way condemned!
Truth does not require “credibility” , it cares not for believing and political positioning.
You come to it by considering everyting and all sides with equal passion.
——
top marks for your effort Saker.
Best wishes, lb
Well, dear lb, on this sad day for me, your lonely voice of support is a comfort for me.
thank you, I needed this pretty badly, I will have to admit.
Kind regards,
The Saker
Dear Saker,
Please be of good cheer. it’s only a blog (albeit a good one).
How would Lavrov handle these issues?
Perhaps you’re stirring up the pot. No need to take it to heart.
Hi Saker – wow I came in late – I loved the article – I am getting more and more into Africa from watching the struggles of those incredible works of the Living God – the animals –
there are really awful people here – I don’t even know any of these anons – maybe they’re all Israeli trolls ?
Don’t let it get under your skin Saker – The author of this timely and very interesting and truthful article – is fantastic – and as I have been informing myself of this country – what she or he – says is true…..all of it – although I didn’t know about the communist thing – that is a complete surprise to me.
And btw – Saker and anon your writer – I sent the article over to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust which is the most amazing charity in the universe in Kenya – – with the Rhino Orphanage in SA – and the Wild is Life Zen – Zimbabwe Elephant Nursery – in Zim –
Love Ann
Hi Saker:
FWIW, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the thought-provoking article and congratulate you for the courage to “print” it. I thought you ought to know that there are those here that support you.
Eurocentric. No sensible human being, on any continent would accept a situation whereby less than 40 000 people from a racist minority control close to 80% of arable land. Next, I hope the ANC and EFF will expropriate the De Beers, Oppenheimers and Anglo-american stockholders to take control of all their strategic minerals.
Why would the ANC bite the hand that feeds them and expropriate De Beers?
Here is nobel peace prize winner Nelson Mandela praising Harry Oppenheimer for his contribution for justice and freedom in South Africa: Africa.http://www.debeersgroup.com/en/our-story/our-history.html.
It is most unlikely Cyril Ramaphosa will actually carry out land seizures from white farmers. I think it’s all just rhetoric for the next presidential elections, to counter the EFF.
That said, I foresee the EFF (or its clones) eventually gaining critical mass in years to come (10? 15?). So long as land ownership remains skewed some form of reckoning is inevitable.
“Racist minority”? Thanks for tarring all White South Africans with the same brush. Guess who is the Real Waycist now eh? (Hint… it’s you!).
I know a bunch of very good people from South Africa. Some of the stories about rapes, tortures and killings of the whites there that I’ve heard are absolutely horrifying. The article seems to be very well researched and I have absolutely nothing else to add except to re-highlight once again what The Saker said above: “for a normal, spiritually healthy human being, innocent victims have no color” . This is it!
And for the zombies who still believe in any form of the so called “collective guilt”, I suggest watching numerous debates/interviews by a well-known Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson. He cuts through all this artificial bullshit about “white privilege”, “collective guilt”, and the gender wars like no one else. Even of you disagree with him (I often do), you’d still learn how some really high quality debates are fought and won.
S Africa was used by the West against the USSR, and when the latter collapsed, it wasn’t so important then politically, but still was for its raw materials.
As it was, the US banks created the financial crisis in SA in the mid 80s by demanding repayment of loans totalling over $20 billion, a fair sized sum for a country like SA to pay back suddenly (did SA not put clauses in the loans that early recall could not be done – or were they too trusting?)
If the blacks wanted the farmland (as owners), it would be wise for them to keep the white farmers on the land – with their experience and knowledge – because if they don’t, mass starvation will result.
Whites, especially of Dutch descent, treated Blacks as at least 3rd rate and considered them much inferior, so payback was due, but not to the horrific extent that some white farmers & their families were tortured, raped and murdered.
Thanks Ralph! There is a whole story about the US and taxation and why it was suddenly so important for the US to declare sanctions. Alas, that is a long story for another time. From the side of the US, it was a question of ‘follow the money’. The South Africans (the white regime) trusted the US and could not conceive of the fact that the US would turn against them.
European/western countries are being colonized with numerous illegal migrants ( “refugees” ), many of whom get substantial benefits (housing, welfare benefits, healthcare etc) without ever paying any taxes. Most of these pseudo refugees paid money to smugglers and violated the laws and borders of numerous countries to do their asylum shopping.
At the same time, the native European citizens get economically marginalized and are being accused of ” racism” if they dare to object to the current trends. Crime is rampant around Europe. Working conditions are downgraded, as manual jobs are filled by illegal migrants (who get paid less) and white collar jobs are outsourced into the third world for a fraction of the cost.
As for South Africa, white people will have the fate of white Rhodesian people. Apartheid policy was realist, as multiethnic multicultural entities cannot function properly therefore it is better to segregate. The problem was economic integration as white South Africa used cheap black labor instead of segregating economically and create separate states. As Soviet Union (with all its flaws) was far better than post Soviet Russia , apartheid South Africa was far better than post 1994 South Africa……
Boer people have a history of centuries in South Africa and therefore have a right to a homeland.
But no one will help them. Western nations bring numerous Africans as refugees (many of whom are criminals) but white South Africans will get ignored.
One notable example is Australia which now has a huge problem with Sudanese crime ( drugs, gangs, thefts, burglaries, bashings, rapes and riots). . Google it to see…..
More than 100,000 Africans refugees were settled in Australia in the last 10 years
Another matter—the bulk of the Bantu migration was already complete prior to the European settlement.
The road to hell is paved with the governments good intentions.
Another comment. The reason why the vast majority of Afrikaners/Boere are not farmers is because of Anglo-Boer war and the British scorched earth tactics, concentration camps etc.
Note that less than two percent of South African Whites are farmers. The majority of Boere boer nie (don’t farm).
Myopic! Africa, has been decimated by “Whites” for centuries .. NM was propel to an icon just because he allowed land/mining to remain with Whites/Western companies (with Mozambique, we all know what happened) .. today, all to most resources are under ‘White’ control who wants compensation to return stolen land is a joke, then you have mining companies control by West who loots SA on daily basis
Whites should voluntarily (or force) return these lands and SA should nationalized all mining but then, surely enough Western Governments will sabotage with broad base sanctions, forced imposed hyper-inflation & claim “Blacks don’t know how to manage their affairs”
Myopic! Africa, has been decimated by “Whites” for centuries
True.
And?
But “Whites” is a collective term which obfuscates that SOME Whites did bad things and OTHER Whites did not. Furthermore, and unless you believe in collective or inherited guilt, the descendants of those who did the bad things are guilty of those past actions. Not only that, but raping, killing, torturing, expelling and otherwise abusing children for the sins of their fathers is simply uncivilized. I am baffled that I would have to not only state, but defend such truisms.
Wow, So 30 minutes after a US first strike on Russia, the leftovers of Russian high command should just wait to die instead of retaliating. After all only some Americans wanted to burn Russia to the ground, in fact those neocons might actually survive in their bunkers. Nuking the US certainly will not bring those dead Russians back either. Just forgive and move on.
At some point asking people to turn the other cheek is like asking them to snap their own necks for you.
Yep, the expression goes “you reap what you sow”. But in the case of South African Whites that expression does not apply, because for them to reap what they have sowed is now a crime against humanity. And they have barely had a taste of what they have sowed.
I’m looking forward to what happens in Mariupol in Ukraine when Russia eventually takes over there. It seems the Nazi’s have been having a field day there, raping Russian women and children, and then gluing their anuses with superglue afterwards. So if they ever want to shit again they have to get surgery, which can take weeks in that war zone. Putin might in the future want to forgive those Nazi’s in the interests of “Peace and Reconciliation” but definitely some of the hard men in the Red Army will not be heeding his advice on these matters, even if they face a firing squad afterwards.
In fact Orc, building on your analogy a bit, if the US nukes Russia, Russia should not respond at all, because responding would cause suffering to innocent Whites there in the USA, and you don’t want innocent White human beings to suffer now do you? No, no, definitely not.
And since some of those White innocents in the USA would suffer because they would feel empathy for those lesser Whites nuked by them in Russia, it would actually be better if Russia would turn her own nukes on herself and blow herself up, to save those superior innocent Whites there in the US from any suffering.
There are just no limits to some peoples inferiority complex.
The author accuses one Tabo Mbeki (does he have Thabo—aspirated T—Mbeki in mind?) of claiming that showering will cure AIDS. I recall Zuma making such a remark, but not Mbeki.
Mbeki did not stop antiretroviral distribution, although he did repeat criticisms of specific antiretroviral medications from the academic literature, and he insisted on locally manufactured generic variants. Thus the lie, at the Toronto AIDS conference, that he had denied the etiology of AIDS. The Mail and Guardian has stopped repeating that lie, and has allowed Mbeki a column in which he denied having ever made such claims. Previously, russophobe cartoonist Jonathan “Zapiro” Shapiro used his daily cartoon for repeating that rot about Mbeki.
The author conflates the murder rate that white farmers suffer with the murder rate that whites suffer in general. The government collected such data until at least 2003 (National Injury Mortality Surveillance System)—at the peak (1994), the white average murder rate (rates at which whites were murdered) was just shy of 40/100k per year (1994), while the murder rate that white farmers suffer is variously between 130 and 160 per 100k per year. The current white general murder rate is likely between 10 and 20 per 100k per year.
The Xhosa, Zulu and Ndebele (and presumably also the Swati, although they have their own country, but are also Nguni) are to a large extent of Khoi San descent. For example, 25% of amaXhosa and 50% of amaZulu have Khoi San mDNA (mitochondrial DNA, inherited from the mother). Although South African whites are generally loathe to admit it, we also have a fair bit of Khoi San ancestry from the early colonial days, when religious supremacy rather than racial supremacy was the order of the day. Hint: most of the colonists at the Cape had Dutch roots from Malaysia, rather than directly from the Netherlands, and colonial governor Simon van der Stel had substantial Malay ancestry. Among other Bantu ethnic groups in South Africa, 5% Khoi San mDNA is more common.
I bet this is Eimar – wrong spelling – but I noticed that even you have changed the spelling of your internet identity – I don’t know if its your real name –
Hi my friend Anon – I totally sympathize with this very well written and interesting article – my tenant upstairs is a South African – a poor white – and she says that 1 in 2 women – white and others – are raped in SA
And the SA poor whites can’t leave – its like Palestine – no countries will take them.
My tenant has a son there still – she would love for him to come out here but how ?
And – this is off topic kind of – but guess what ?
Canada is sending her parents back to SA – they tried to get in on refugee status – and … nope – don’t qualify –
Her father has dementia – and has lost his SA passport – her mother has hers – so the father is being sent to the UK – because that’s where he was born – even though he went to SA as a toddler – and her mother is being shipped to SA –
That’s the Canadian government’s response to the devastation of SA poor whites –
And what about those amazing animals ? That wife of Mugabe – Grace – in Zimbabwe – where the same thing that this writer described – ‘rolling in’ of the new president – just happened – Grace Mugabe was charged with having in her possession the bodily parts of HUNDREDS of elephants – that witch –
Oh Africa Africa – Garden of the World – what can we do for you darling Africa ?-
The Canadian government is quite content to take in South Africans, including the impoverished, as long as they have the skill sets that the Canadian state currently seeks; impoverished South Africans, including whites, often suffer other pathologies, as do individuals from other ethnic/racial groups, who are impoverished, and thus often cannot save up such money. Several of them have criminal records. If your tenant is from Cape Town, you might want to ask if she knows “Oom Skollie” [Uncle Thug, street handle of Frankie Berg, who was quite active in the poorer parts of the white northern suburbs in Cape Town—were his skin colour different, he’d have fit in quite well in Elsies Rivier]. Berg perpetrated his first murder at age 17, but being white, got the plea deal and what have you. I resent having had to deal with him.
Right now, plumbers are in demand. However, the main barrier that poorer whites face in using such opportunities is that few employers would pay for such workers’ flight tickets—it is not profitable; the Filipinos and Punjabis (often with PhDs) who tend to come to Canada pay out of their own savings. Thus the majority of whites who do go work abroad must save for their travel expenses. And many of us, once we are out of the financial straits that make us go look for work abroad, return, although we often go look for work abroad again.
In fact, Johan Meyer, the Canadian government is turning away white South Africans who apply for refugee status on the basis of they are promoting “racist propaganda”.
http://nationalpost.com/news/canada/white-south-african-familys-refugee-bid-rejected-allegedly-boosted-case-with-white-supremacist-information#
The article offers government reasoning for just one case, not all cases. There’s no mention of the EU parliament – mod-pd
The E.U. parliament refuses to debate the matter.
Hello Mod,
Here is the reference for the EU parliament refusing to take up the debate (I forgot to included it) – one of the conservative parties in the UK proposed it – see the bullet points + further full report:
http://facts4eu.org/south_africa.shtml
Here is another Canadian case – you will see the names are different from the first case:
http://www.cbc.ca/radio/thecurrent/sep-10-2014-1.2907596/a-white-south-african-family-is-asking-canada-for-refugee-protection-saying-they-are-targeted-at-home-because-of-their-skin-1.2907601
Here is a third case – this person was initially granted asylum in 2009 and it was withdrawn in 2014 – see article for details below. I’m not sure of this applies to absolutely all cases, but there is certainly an undeniable trend:
https://www.iol.co.za/news/crime-courts/canada-boots-out-sas-white-refugee-1706525
Here is the South African government response to special refugee status for white South Africans suggestion by Peter Dutton of Australia just a few days ago:
https://mg.co.za/article/2018-03-14-dirco-slams-refugee-status-for-white-south-africans
According to a consultant who works with cases of white South African seeking asylum abroad, those cases are actively interfered with or blocked by the SA Government – which could explain why foreign governments won’t grant white South Africans asylum or refugee status – see comments by Adriana Stuijt on this page – see about two thirds down on the page:
https://hopkinsworld.com/sources-corrupt-members-of-south-african-police-force-facilitate-farm-attacks/
MOD – what he says is true – I can’t believe you doubt it – do you know how hard and complicated it is to file for immigrant status ? And in the case I mentioned the two people are OLD – no way will Canada take them in – and if they tried to get in on refugee status and were declined – then they can’t reapply –
The zionazi and nazi aligned (literally, look up their modern history) boer freakshow known as apartheid was never dismantled, only a token bit for image purposes so people would move on.
Hopefully, the South African people will now dismantle apartheid for real and for good.
The most disgusting thing with Apartheid was that it was an amalgamation of racial nationalists and social democrats, to defeat (similarly disgusting—pro-British after Anglo-Boer war) Jan Smuts. De Klerk was the first apartheid leader not to be aligned during WWII with Nazi Germany—he was nine years old when the war ended.
While the German government assisted us against the British (mainly Gewehr 98s), it was Irish, Swedes, Poles and Russians who predominantly assisted us as volunteers. I would prefer a reorganisation of the bulk of farms to a cooperative model—we have been largely landless since the second Anglo-Boer war, with a small minority of our ethnic group (and English!) holding the land. That way, members of all ethnic groups can have the opportunity to participate in agriculture.
Apartheid was a Brit thing… boers just grab it along.
The real minds and master behind it were the British…
Look at how they ruled their colonies and empire,
they have been really much worse than the spanish
and their black legend.
now… lets the afrikaans and boer pay for the faults of the brits.
Only very partly true. The Nats took the matter far further. My farther (born during WWII) lost several of his childhood friends due to the implementation of the group areas act—they were simply removed.
‘… The Boer fought for their land both against the Brits, as well as against the tribal Blacks that were migrating South from further North…’
Their land? Really ???? That there, is the heart of the matter.
Actually, it is even less glorious than that. The Mfecane (depopulation of non-Nguni Bantus due to Zulu empire) reduced the *already present* Bantu population. Our ancestors made opportunistic use of the situation to take what became the Transvaal and Orange Free State. The Bantu expansion had already lead to the area becoming Bantu rather than Khoi San. The main wars against Bantu were against the Xhosa (mutual cattle theft in the Eastern Cape), and against the Zulu (wake of Mfecane, in part due to British encroachment—see Natal colony). Then again, many of our ancestors did submit to various Bantu kings.
The last point does raise an interesting terminological matter. It is de rigeur to refer to African ethnic groups as tribes, despite the fact that almost all Bantu ethnic groups, from central Africa southward, were feudal monarchies, including the clan-based east-African Bantu ethnic groups. This reaches laughable proportions above, when the South African Bantu groups are at once tribes, yet have royals. Certain people need to make up their minds. Tribal divisions occur especially among e.g. the (North African) Berbers, i.e. within the ethnic groups.
In the End it is a Problem of Wealth Distribution, I am not entering into the “who owns the land, or have rights to it” because the land is a static thing and the peoples went and go (if we have to give the land back to the “right” owners, please first define who were these because that game have no end , there was always someone else before)
As I said the problem have more to do with wealth and inequalities, South Africa is a relatively well developed country when compared with neighbours, but the breach between rich and poor (no matter the race or colour) it is tremendous, and the solution of this aspect haven’t been suficiently developed, althoug some progress have been made. this is being used by some Politicians and Parties to focus the Population out of the real problems, and of course keep going with the stealing and sacking.
if they really implement this “Land grab” “expropiation without compensation” etc, we will see a civil war probably or at least a disaster like Zimbabwe.
Politicians after Mandela are just getting worse (more close “african countries democracy standard” than “modern developed countries democracy standard” which is a pity) poverty and inequality will not be solved by this.
off course the political caste and their minions will prosper beyond imagination.
“The average white person in the country of South Africa was mind-controlled and knew nothing. They did not know that the blacks were brutally suppressed,”
————–
That is a lie.
We knew. YOU knew.
Oh our Gaza’s weren’t all surrounded by concrete walls and razor wire – they certainly weren’t bombed from land, sea and air by the SADF everyday for a month on end every few years but we knew what was going on: perhaps not all the gruesome detail but certainly the fact and the gist. We knew. Simply, one would have had to be blind, deaf and brain dead not to have known.
You see… we were afraid. Afraid of the 2am telephone call warning “We are watching you.” Afraid of the 4am visit that disappeared people – just gone. Afraid of electrodes attached to our genitals. Afraid of what harm it would bring our children who would be punished ever after for what we did. And well, we liked the way we lived – we didn’t live “like them.”
We didn’t live in rough areas with no services, no running water, no electricity, no garbage collection and no sewage. We lived in nice houses with nice gardens with all the amenities and mod cons and very nice policemen to keep us safe – we didn’t even lock our doors and our daughters could skip down the street with pretty bows in their hair and be smiled at instead of harassed by a big white policeman for the crime of wanting to feel pretty.
We had nice shops and malls, nice parks and playgrounds, and the only black faces we saw were the ones cleaning up behind us. Our children had good schools and advanced education by default and in the official (white) language of our choice and they were guaranteed tertiary education and good jobs after matriculation. It was The Right of Being White.
We were rather like the Americans are today. Those good decent folk who bomb and kill and destroy whole nations so they can live off their war profits and in the style to which they have become accustomed. They too pretend not to know. Like Germans in the 1930’s pretended not to know.
Way I see it our only saving graces were two fold: what those Americans and Germans didn’t have.
We kept our atrocities to our own, we didn’t visit them on other nations or peoples outside our borders and sometimes … we protested. At least we had that. Sometimes.
So don’t fool yourself. Don’t lie to others:
I knew. You knew. We knew. We all KNEW.
We might not have known all the nitty-gritty details, we might not have know who precisely was being beaten in the copshop tonight or when and where but WE KNEW something was very wrong and WE KNEW it was all based on the colour of one’s skin.
Dear Shahna,
Please excuse me as I am just an old baldy-headed ‘B’ who has read a bit,
Have you heard of ‘The Highland Clearances’? Have you heard of the Irish Potato Famine, or before that the ‘Flight of the Earls’. How about the Armenian Massacres by the ‘Young Turks’. Or even yet, what happened to the Filipinos when Spain sold the Philippines to America. Did you ever read, ‘Bury my heart at Wounded Knee’ What about the Rwanda massacres?
There have been terrible tragedies throughout history. It has always been that the innocent are the first to be killed as the guilty are so often aware and can predict when to fight and when to run.
There is another side to these tragedies that occur even in this day when we consider what has happened to the various African States or countries and in parts of the Ukraine and Crimea.
Will you be seeking revenge? Revenge is a terrible thing as it changes the status of innocence to guilty, and as the bible says two wrongs don’t make things right.
There was a study done years ago in reference to the POW’s at Colditz Castle where it was found that only 10% of the prisoners were involved in escape plans, while the other 90% just sat back and waited for the war to end.
In the internal strife within South Africa, the figures would be roughly similar; 10% would be involved and the 90% unknowing. I may be wrong that they were the normal figures.
And so the troubles are over, but not forgotten, but this now becomes the point; did the winners of these troubles resolve the problems? Is there now peace and serenity in South Africa now?
Could it just be that the people in charge of South Africa now are no better than the previous ‘white regimes’?
I was a policeman once, but not in South Africa. I joined the force after my eldest sister was murdered on her 24th birthday. I know grief, I also know police brutality, as I have seen it in action. I recall a protest in Melbourne in about 1972, when the police broke ranks and attacked the protestors. I can recall coming up on a scene where three policeman were beating a protestor lying on the footpath with their batons. I simply grabbed the protestor by his collar and hauled him to his feet. I told the other policeman that he was mine. I walked him around the corner and asked him if he was alright. He replied in the affirmative. I let him go with a warning to not get caught again. I think he heeded the warning, I certainly hope so
My story here is that many people when they see an injustice taking place will try to rectify the situation if they can, so please do not be callous with your condemnation, and please, it is not just of the colour of one’s skin but rather that urge to prove one’s superiority over others.
I do applaud what you are saying because there is too much ‘pleading innocent’ and my own people resent me for saying that. But telling me I knew when I did not, and when my family did not only gives expression to your indignation, and does not make a point. Not everyone knew. We should have, but we did not. In our farming communities, we had the Sunday Afrikaans paper, and did not buy the English paper. Oom Blacky .. (Verwoerd), was our hero. We could show the English a thing or two. In fact, personally, I only learned to speak English when I was around 18 because I needed to go to University. The blacks, they were there. My family did not treat anyone badly. In fact, my family were half right and half really left. My grandmother was a founder member of the garment worker’s union. My other grandmother started a church. Neither of the two of them were black haters. I did not grow up with black hate.
I was 28 years old before I had an inkling what was happening in the country. Then, it was as if a donkey had kicked me in the head and I knew .. we were doing something deeply sick and very wrong. Your accusations today fall on deaf ears and negates the issue of censorship of the Afrikaans media. It was effective you know! Apartheid as a philosophy was devastatingly effective. What I had to read did not enlighten me. Many white South Africans did not know up to the point that they knew. Some of us figured it out. Some others never did.
Again, glad you said what you said because in essence I agree – we should have knows. But, you have to take account of the different spheres in the country and you have to give credence to the shades of grey, and us in the Free State and the Transvaal that had no opportunity to figure out what was happening. We also did not treat our workers badly, so there is nothing that could have shown me differently. Later on yes, I started speaking about enfranchisement of all South Africans. Nobody wanted to hear that message, neither white, nor black. I have experience you know, of what was called BOSS. My phone was tapped, my house was raided many times for subversive literature and when had a braai (with jew, white, black and brown) alike, we were raided a number of times, by BOSS.
So, I applaud what you say. I only say that you are not exactly always accurate.
So, I am on of those that in my Afrikaans environment, did not know.
The murder of individual White farmers in South African is being manipulated for a broader propaganda campaign by the right wing groups like Freedom Front Plus in South Africa and their sympathizers in the West, including the Alt Right in the USA.
“White victimhood” has become a mobilizing propaganda meme for White nationalists (open or closeted) throughout the “civilized West” in order to invert reality and cast White people as an oppressed victim class.
This is what you tacitly support, Saker, whether you realize it or not.
Donald Trump, white victimhood and the South African far-right
http://theconversation.com/donald-trump-white-victimhood-and-the-south-african-far-right-73400
“This is what you tacitly support, Saker, whether you realize it or not.”
Bull. I simply agree with Malcolm X when he says that “I am for truth, no matter who tells it.” I don’t expect a “binary brain” like yours to understand that, but I mention it just so you know how completely primitive and misguided your substitute for thinking is.
The Saker
Keep on telling yourself, if it allows you to sleep better at night.
But you are hardly for the “truth” if you peddle this psyops about “White genocide” in South Africa.
That is an example of the Big Lie–much like the Big Lies about “humanitarian outrages” in Syria, Libya, or Serbia used to justify Western imperial intervention.
White South African neo-nationalist outfits like Freedom Front Plus–along with their White nationalist and Alt Rights allies in the USA and West–have eagerly seized upon this issue as a pretext to rationalize Euro-American pressure on, if not outright intervention, in South Africa–which not coincidentally is a BRICS member.
This is the West’s Responsibility to Protect doctrine–which in practice means the Responsibility to Plunder under a humanitarian mask.
As other posters have mentioned, there have been other ethnic groups who have also been killed in the lawlessness that has plagued South Africa–not just the Anglo Dutch colonialists. The idea that White farmers are unique or, should I say, exceptional, in this sense is disingenuous and serves other political agendas, unrelated to concern about people being killed.
An interesting look at South Africa. I can see why some would dispute the historical accuracy of it, and that’s fair. It was used as a backdrop to the current situation and as such is open to question.
But overall, that is but a distraction. Any government that says it can take away land of a certain group of people because the era of living together peacefully is now over should send alarm bells ringing. Not only does the past not justify such remarks, it actually makes them more dangerous because even if the government does not intend direct harm (doubtful), the socio-historical context virtually ensures harm will be done.
I know next to nothing of South Africa, except that they too lived under colonial rule. However, I feel that the whole Zuma corruption drama, while probably true, is a Western sponsored effort to manipulate the country and install a ‘leader’ who would do their bidding. It’s the story of all Brics nations that they can reach (Brazil, India, South Africa – All had major sporting events as the excuse to start a destabilizing anti-corruption campaign) and those that they can’t, they malign in other ways. (China, Russia)
Hullo The Saker,
Is this where I thank you for taking an interest in my country? For bringing to the attention of your nicely growing readership the desperate plight of our once most protected and now most endangered species, The White Farmer? The White Farmer – sounds like a bird doesn’t it?…… I think not.
Instead I shall tell you about the hollow pit that forms in my gut whenever I see growing world interest in “Free Education For All” riots or “The Plight of the White Farmer” spreading across the MSM: MSM like BBC, CNN’s Carlson Tucker, Reuters, ABC, RT and various other alphabetics and foreign names, and now, even the alternate media like you.
Here’s the crunch.
The ONLY time the world (esp the world media) develops an interest in small unimportant countries (like mine) is when the Big Boys like the US, UK and France are setting the stage to bring them some nice real democracy. Like Libya. Like Syria. “Killing his own people!” CFR says we have a kleptocracy problem America must help us po’ folk with. Nice of them huh?
And what better way to instigate a civil war in this country than … land redistribution without compensation?
Sheer genius. What better reason to bring us democracy, western style, than to prevent the genocide they regret they didn’t intervene to prevent in Rwanda?
We never did find out just who paid our infamous Jules Malema the money to owe the taxman 16 million bucks in his rioting days …. ‘cos it wasn’t his youth leader salary.
Something those mighty western powers never tell us – why it’s okay to kill other people, just not “your own.”
It was said many years ago that once Nelson Mandela died then the slaughter of the whites would be full on.
Nelson Mandela is dead, and the time for his mourning has passed, and now comes the time for the killings.
Will our governments, those members of the British Commonwealth help those in dire need? Not on your Nelly?
Our ‘White’ governments will bring in black migrants, but not the whites, much the same as the first troubles.
Yet not only are the white and total murder rates substantially down (total murder down by almost half) from 1994, but so is the farm murder rate. Go figure. The Lager mentality made sense in the 1990s. It does not make sense now.
Can you provide anything to back up your claims?
Shahna, the first overt act of the US/Canadian/British/Belgian/(b)Ugandan intervention in Rwanda was on 1 October 1990, when the (b)Ugandan army invaded, using former feudal aristocrat baTutsi refugees from the 1959 Rwandan revolution that ended feudalism. The initial head of the invasion, Fred Rwigema, was killed during the invasion. The (b)Ugandan head of intelligence, a baTutsi by the name of Paul Kagame, returned from his IMET junket at Fort Leavenworth, to take over the running of the invasion. Under his leadership, the US and Canada flew nearly constant supply flights to his forces, to the extent that he could make constant (24/7) use of battlefield saturation weapons (description by UN peacekeeper, either Amadou Deme or Gilbert Ngijol—I have forgotten which) by the time of his resumed offensive in 1994.
Kagame depopulated Byumba prefecture from about 800 000 people to about 1 800 (sic) people, prior to the official genocide. Kagame, with assistance from Herman Cohen and Romeo Dallaire (who almost certainly murdered Agathe Uwilingiyimana, an opposition politician and Prime Minister at the time. Note that my links are to the writings of Christopher Black, who was counsel for Ndindiliyimana, who was charged with genocide, but was eventually cleared. Kagame’s own former henchman, Eric Hakizimana, says that Kagame killed two million Hutus during the takeover of Rwanda; since then, five to ten million in DRC have been killed by Kagame and company’s wars there.
We have many disagreements on politics and economy etc. but I APPLAUD your intellectual honesty Saker – from posting this article and many of your comments down here. Being honest is often more valuable than simply being right.
Surely the land issue can be resolved fairly simply by having progressive land taxes. This way large landholdings will be reduced in size to what can be managed most efficiently.
It will free up land, increase productivity, and result in a more efficient agriculture system.
The history lesson was well and good. The Boer’s first settled South Africa. They claim it was unoccupied, which simply means two things the population was not big enough to resist the Boer, and the lifestyle (farmer) of the Boer made survival easier for both the Boer and the Natives that gathered round him for food. Similar in Australia. End of lesson one!
Lesson two, and this is not about South Africa, but of Africa itself and thus pertinent to South Africa.
In the late 1890’s Theodor Herzl was seeking a ‘Homeland’ for the Jews; In 1902 the Kaiser offered him German West Africa and Arthur James Balfour’s Foreign Minister Joseph Chamberlain offered him Uganda. Herzl accepted Uganda as a temporary measure, but Lord Rothschild was not impressed and when Herzl pushed the Uganda offer in the 1903 Zionist meeting, Herzl had committed a fatal error and passed away still a young man just before the 1904 Zionist meeting.
Uganda was offered its ‘Independence in the 1960’s and ‘stuff me’ if I didn’t read in ‘The Australian Women’s Weekly’ just after the Entebbe incident that three countries were involved in the selection and training of a former army sergeant, Idi Amin for the position of President/Dictator, being Britain, America and Israel! What the!!!! How and why Israel? But the enemy was the same then as it is today, the Anglo/American/Zionist lobby totally controlled by the Rothschild dynasty.
Lesson three; Rhodesia. Rhodesia was a food bowl of Africa, but the ‘British decided it should have ‘Independence’ . Ian Smith decided otherwise and set up his own government. Why, even Heinz Kissinger stepped in to help and although people warned Ian Smith of Kissinger’s treachery, Ian Smith ignored the warnings and thus any chance of continuing on as Rhodesia.
Ian Smith was replaced by Robert Mugabe, and this is where things got interesting. Mugabe attacked not only the white farmers but also the local blacks who worked the farms with the whites. Mugabe confiscated the farms and handed them to his cronies who had no idea of how to work the farms.
The white farmers were now being massacred, and people from many of the Commonwealth countries screamed out for those farmers to be protected and treated humanely, and thus Zimbabwe and Mugabe came under the scrutiny of CHOGM (the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting).
So into this fray rode a new warrior, Ari ben Menashe, who set himself and his company Dickens and Madson, up for the leader of the Zimbabwean Opposition, Morgan Tsvangirai to be psy-oped in meetings in London and Montreal for the supposed deal to assassinate Robert Mugabe.
The case against Morgan Tsvangirai came up in Harare in 2002-3 and created quite a stir. The main witness was Ari Ben Menashe, with his partner in crime Alexander Henri Legault, with another Intelligence officer Tara Thomas. As a witness Ari ben Menashe was totally discredited, but there was one little point that Tsvangirai’s Defence attorney, George Bizos made that was extremely interesting. Whilst in the witness box, George Bizos asked ‘Ari ben Menashe’ to produce his passport. Menashe declined and was supported by the judge. So why did Bizos ask that particular question?
Because Ari ben Menashe didn’t use a passport with that particular name on it when he travelled from Perth to Zimbabwe. Then photographs taken of Ari ben Menashe in Harare enabled Australians in Perth to Identify Ari ben Menashe as Joe Vialls a former MI6 operative and CIA assassin.
What gets even better is that Ari ben Menashe was required to identify the person who ‘chaired’ the Montreal meeting, who was identified as Edward Simms, a member of the Team America (slang for the Central Intelligence Agency), who was the CIA deputy director for Africa at that time.
Now all of that is very interesting, but what was even more interesting was that CHOGM moved the goal posts. Instead of concerning themselves with the murders of White Zimbabwean farmers, CHOGM repositioned themselves to simply ensure that the Zimbabwean elections were ‘fair and above board’, and of course Robert Mugabe remained President/Dictator up until late last year, while the destruction of Zimbabwe as the food bowl of Africa disintegrated.
So what does all of this mean? Well it wasn’t the Chinese or the Stalinist Russians that destroyed Rhodesia, not unless one considers Heinz Kissinger as a Russian Colonel in the KGB, but rather it was the Rothschild cabal of Anglo/American/Zionists.
So now let’s look at South Africa, with the terrorist Nelson Mandela in prison and his wife “Winnie’ necklacing any black opposition she could lay her hands on. You do know what ‘necklacing is? It’s getting an old tyre, filling it with petrol and then putting that tire over the head and shoulders of the victim, then standing back and flicking lighted matches at the tyre.
So Mandela is in prison just waiting for his release knowing he would become President of South Africa just the same as the terrorist Kenyatta became the first President of Kenya, but I’m not so concerned about Mandela at this point, but rather Joe Slovo, the Lithuanian Jew , whose wife Ruth First was killed when she opened a letter bomb sent to her in 1982.
This incident apparently had a large affect on Joe Slovo’s 2IC, Tony Kistan, a Cape Coloured communist who then decided to move to safer pastures and took his wife and son with him to Australia.
Tony Kistan was shot dead on Sunday the 28th of April 1996.
Tony Kistan was among seven ‘Intel’ officers that were shot dead at the Port Arthur Massacre when thing went badly wrong, and the required target had changed its schedule. Three of the ‘Intel’ officers were shot in the Broad Arrow Café whilst the other four were shot at the Tollbooth entrance of the Port Arthur Site. There were at least thirty Intel operatives on the Site on the day, including six Americans. But there is another fact not that well known. The person who ran the Port Arthur psy-ops , and was identified talking with two other operatives was Joe Vialls, or as he was later known, Ari ben Menashe.
Which acts of terror can legitimately be laid at Kenyatta’s feet? By their own (colonial) estimates, the colonial authorities killed at least an order of magnitude more Kenyans than the Mau-Mau did during the Mau-Mau.
Your history of Mugabe is partial, especially in excluding the neoliberal 80s and 90s, which destroyed the black farmers. At the time, there were minimal murmurings of land redistribution, and Mugabe was the poster child of the IMF.
The only part of South Africa that could reasonably be described as unoccupied were the Transvaal and Free State, due to the Mfecane. We often brutally subjugated the Khoi San in most of what was the old Cape province. Today the bulk of their descendants are the non-Malay “Cape Coloureds,” and are often farm labourers in that province, or rural or urban poor. We never were a majority, even at our proportional peak of the population (combined English and Afrikaans around 25%, early 1910s) in South Africa.
Dear Johan,
From reading your previous posts and some of the comments therein, you would appear to be someone with a better understanding of the topic.
You have asked; “Which acts of terror can legitimately be laid at Kenyatta’s feet? By their own (colonial) estimates, the colonial authorities killed at least an order of magnitude more Kenyans than the Mau-Mau did during the Mau-Mau.”
My reply would be, “Was not Kenyatta imprisoned for acts of terrorism? I really do not care what acts that he actually did but rather that ‘the authorities had him locked up and preserved for prosperity, and the same for Nelson Mandela.
You also point out that the ‘colonial authorities’ killed more than the Mau-Mau. I would not even dare to argue against that statement.
My introduction to all of this was an article written by a former Larouche member in regard to Tavistock in 1974 who explained exactly how the police ‘Special branch’ worked in the areas including Kenya and Malaya, with a special mention of Frank Kitson.
In other words, the ‘authorities’ knew well prior to the event, staged their events and then presented ‘their’ man as the new leader, very much as what happened in Britain in the 1600’s.
You know, King James described Northern Ireland as ‘unoccupied’ when he sent the Protestant farmers in to claim the land. That would be similar to South Africa, Australia, but not necessarily America,
I think though that the major question at this moment in time should be; in consideration of the world events at this particular time, why has the South African situation raised its head again, now and how much of a distraction is it?. Perhaps an answer may look at the IMF and other Banking institutions.
and i keep learning.
That’s a really interesting set of dots you’ve connected, and it makes perfect sense.
Thank you.
I think there is a serious misunderstanding among commentators here. Dismissing this article in no way can be associated with approving of the killing of human beings, white farmers, in this case, they are two separate issues. Of course, it is the government responsibility to protect it’s all citizens, and so far the government is not doing that. In August of 2012, the government was responsible for the Marikana massacre, all killed were blacks.
Going 20+ years back. What do we know about negotiations to ‘end Apartheid’, labelled as ‘Historical compromise’? We know that negotiations where secretive, so secretive, only very few from the top of the ANC structure knew about it. Four years prior to Mandela’s release from the prison, on 11th February 1990, everything, to the smallest detail was negotiated and decided about ‘New SA’, nothing was left out. Even Reconciliation Charade was planned, and as a part of the plan, Desmond Tutu in 1984. was awarded Nobel Peace Prize, so as to give some respect and credibility to this Charade.
When ‘negotiations’ took place to ‘end’ the Apartheid, the negotiating parties were: US, UK, IMF and World Bank on one side, ANC on the other side, and NP as a third party. There were no negotiations, US, UK, IMF, and WB gave their ultimatums, ANC and NP accepted. They decided to replace White Management of the Apartheid with Black Management of the same Apartheid. It was a smart move on their part, the ANC served as a dart to tranquilize masses and thus making Apartheid even more firm and secure.
Among other things ANC agreed to accepted Structural Adjustment Program (SAP), design by IMF and World Bank, which affects not only country’s macro-economy but micro-economy as well, and is design to keep the country in a perpetual debt. ANC also agreed to repay $20 billion apartheid-era foreign debt. In just less than 20 years, as a result of SAP, the debt rise to $120 billion, don’t know what is at present. In large part SAP might contribute the poor performance of the economy too.
The power of ANC comes from the support of masses and the support, to a great degree, is due to ANC’s endorsement of the Freedom Charter. In the struggle against the Apartheid, many families lost their mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers.
As a part of the ultimatum -‘Historical compromise’, ANC had to abandon the Freedom Charter. Those who died in the Struggle, died for the second time, only this time being stubbed in the back by their ‘comrades’. Time will tell that Historical Compromise’ was Historical Treason.
As the result of this fake compromise, probably the biggest damage to the country is the corruption in ANC. Zuma was a symptom of the problem and he is replaced by Ramaphosa who is a part of the problem.
Whatever the solution to the problem, it cannot be built on injustice and crime. In words of Gandhi, poverty, as a result of the system, is a crime against humanity. In SA this crime is high and needs to be dealt with urgently, but the ‘Management’ has no authority to do that and they have their hands tied at the back. The first step would be to bring the Freedom Charter, but US, UK and their allies would turn SA into Syria.
I agree with Shahna, the US is on a crusade to bring ‘democracy’ to Africa. In an interview (October 2014), former Defence Secretary Leon Panetta predicted that ISIS was going to spread from the Levant throughout Africa and that America would need 30 years to defeat ISIS.

In some comment(s) there was a mention of Zimbabwe; a few facts.
After WWII British government evicted one third of Zimbabwean population from their land and gave that land to their solders, about 4000 of them.
Part of the Lancaster House Agreement was the land issue too.
Mugabe didn’t break the signed Lancaster House Agreement, it was war criminal Tony Blair who did it.
‘Even Roelf-Pik Botha concedes that on land question it is Britain, not President Mugabe and his government, which must take the lion’s share of the blame. On being approached by the Zimbabwean government, to bring to fruition the discussions initiated during the previous Conservative government, the Blair administration reneged entirely on Britain’s Lancaster House undertakings to assist with Zimbabwe’s land reform programme. Clare Short, the then newly appointed Secretary of State for International Development, in a letter dated 5 November 1997, wrote in these arrogant and patronising terms to Zimbabwe’s minister of Agriculture and Land, Kumbirai Kangai: “I should make it clear that we do not accept that Britain has a special responsibility to meet the costs of land purchase in Zimbabwe. We are a new Government from diverse backgrounds without links to former colonial interests. My own origins are Irish and as you know we were colonised not colonisers’ (source Lalkar.org).
Kenya had to pay to “repurchase” the “White Highlands” (given by the locals to the British on the understanding of temporary settlement).
By 1990, the South African “Communist” Party was already more neoliberal in policy proclamations than Margaret Thatcher, which gives credence to your claims. I should point out that there is often confusion between Pik Botha and PW Botha. The latter was a president, the former a (South African terminology relating to racial issues) liberal in PW Botha’s cabinet. I think that he was right as you quote him, but it should be clear that his was not a (Apartheid) centrist nor hardline position, but rather from the left end of Apartheid positions.
As to the murders, the general tendency has been toward reduced murder rates since 1994, with a small uptick the last five years.
“Going 20+ years back. What do we know about negotiations to ‘end Apartheid’, labelled as ‘Historical compromise’? We know that negotiations where secretive, so secretive, only very few from the top of the ANC structure knew about..”
We know quite a lot about those negotiations by now, because many of the negotiators have given interviews about what was negotiated – not about everything, but about many things – here is a documentary about that:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXiuO5Guds4
Just remember there were two sides who negotiated not only one: The ANC.
The Afrikaners negotiated for democratic principles and the preservation of their culture and language (the ANC has banned their language from being used as an academic language in recent months – minority rights, including the right to keep their land.
In my opinion the biggest mistake they made was to not negotiate for a power-sharing agreement like in Northern Ireland. Because they didn’t do that today they have virtually zero political representation:
Here’s the thing: Almost the entire political spectrum in S.A. is on the left – there are opposition parties but they are just different levels of the left. The political right has no more than 3 – 5% support/representation. How is that democratic? Besides, even if there was more support on the right, in South Africa the majority of people still vote according to ethnic lines – basically, according to race (especially Africans). From an Afrikaner perspective the whole negotiation process in 1994 was a charade and they were duped, because the constitution that is meant to protect their minority rights doesn’t seem to be worth the paper it is written on.
Also, it is very clear that the ANC has even less autonomy than the Apartheid government and are even closer to the West than than the former government. So where does this leave the average South African citizen, regardless of race?

I think most readers are utterly appalled by the torture and rape that happens with crime in South Africa, torture that is usually applied to obtain info such as bank card pin numbers, safe combination numbers, location of valuables details, etc.
But most readers will not realize the roots of such torture. I like facts and I like reading, so I read and remembered a lot about the “enhanced interrogation techniques” used by the security forces against “communist sympathizers”, which basically meant anyone non-white. Plus I heard a lot from friends and school mates, team mates, bar mates who had served in the security forces. At the dawn of democracy in South Africa it was intriguing to read in the newspapers of torture techniques used during crimes which were exactly the same as those used by the security forces against communist sympathizers.
Similarly, the Mozambican criminals in South Africa used techniques pioneered by the Portuguese in their fight against the communists in Mozambique. The Zimbabwean criminals in South Africa used techniques introduced to them by their Chinese and North Korean trainers there in Zim. It was almost like you could determine the origin of the criminals by the “enhanced interrogation techniques” they used. There was also some techniques particular to KwaZuluNatal, the land of Inkatha.
But alas, newspapers stopped printing all the gory details of the crime, and instead just started saying a crime had been committed without all the details, so its no more easy to discern the trends.
Similarly in the Congo regions in Central Africa you’ll find this business of chopping off hands all over the show, and abducting young kids and killing their parents and then bringing them up as little savages to kill their former communities when they grow up. These practices have their origin in Belgium, the former colonizer of the Congo. Research the reason why the city of Antwerp (hand throw) in Belgium got its name. Hopefully that practice doesn’t make its way to South Africa.
Once someone has been tortured or heard from someone who has been tortured, its like “this was done to me so I’m going to do it to them”. Torture just for the fun of it and rape by default does happen during crime. Breaking this culture of brutality is going to take some doing.
So yes, the torture of victims by criminals in South Africa is very bad, but one must take cognizance of the history behind these activities.
An article full of white lies and rubbish. If anything, black South Africans have been to timid about obtaining redress from genocidal atrocites perpetrated on them by savage european colonists. The secret Broederbond leadership and men like Wouter Basson who were planning to wipe out the black population with biological weapons are walking freely and building white only compounds in cities like Orania. What country on the planet would accept a fait accompli where 40000 white families owns close to 80% of arable land ? Some black families were unceremoniously expelled from their lands in the 1970’s, they have title deeds to prove it. White South Africans with NATO’s military support got beat the first time around at the battle of Cuito Cuanavale by a coalition of African countries, they will get beat again if they try anything funny. This time around, I doubt EFF types will show them any mercy.
Brilliant analysis!
The Boers should be treated as refugees from a genocide and welcomed into Western countries as such.
Dear Saker
I believe some of your readers will be interested in the broader significance of Ramaphosa being elected president. Some liberal Whites view him as some sort of Black Messiah who will save South Africa and think that he somehow accrued obscene wealth honestly through sheer business acumen. They conveniently overlook Ramaphosa’s role in the Marikana Massacre. Ramaphosa is a major shareholder in the Marikana mine and was also rumoured to own the Labour Brokerage that took a large proportion of the miners’ wages.
I believe that there is a globalist element to Ramaphosa’ assuming power. Jacob Zuma was not a globalist but a Zulu Nationalist and I do not think his gaining the Presidency was part of the NWO plan. I believe Ramaphosa will be much more malleable in terms of furthering the Empire’s agenda. I believe Ramaphosa’s appointment as President is a coup for the Globalists and I expect BRICS to be further weakened. Time will tell.
I would like to recommend that those who want to hear the “other side” about Apartheid/Separate Development read Mike Smith’s excellent “Opening Pandora’s Apartheid Box” series. Sadly, Mike Smith has closed his blog (I believe to work on writing a book). Mike Smith did a lot of research to put this series together.
Mike is openly racist but I believe both sides should be heard, then one can make up one’s own mind. If you haven’t lived in South Africa for several years I suggest taking the trouble to inform ones’ self before making comments. Most people only know about South Africa from being exposed to both Soviet and Western propaganda.
The series can be found on:
http://iluvsa.blogspot.co.za/2012/02/pandoras-apartheid-box.html
Then you can decide for yourself how “evil” and “wicked” White South African are.
Glad to see Mike Smith’s information is still available. I would have quoted him but did not see his blog.
Thanks Writer and Saker for running this article.
Wow! How is it possible that a black majority government is denying equal rights to its countries minorities? Is that by any means legal and according to international human rights legislation?
Didn’t they learn anything from history? To go from one, bad, kind of segregation to the next equally toxic version will no doubt be desastrous to the future of South Africa, if there will be one at all.
White, brown, yellow or black, what an utter shame that humans in general remain such a bunch of unintelligent atavistic beings, hugely lacking humanity let alone compassion.
Has the author ever heard of the Native Land Act of 1913 that dispossessed the Indigenous people’s of their land. This act also made illegal the rental of land to black farmers, resulting in the dispossession of their cattle which was their store of wealth.
Also is James Michener novel now a historical source? That old ‘empty land’ trope is reminiscent of Israel.
The ANC is definitely a political party whose main function is to keep their hands on the levers of power (much like most political parties in the west) but to present fiction and unsubstantiated opinion as historical fact is not the way to build a better future. The ‘we never knew what the government we voted for was doing’ excuse doesn’t detract from the real benefits that accrued to whites that enabled their ascent to the top of the economic pyramid. In fact that is where they still are.
Btw this article is full of the history I was taught in the eighties under apartheid education. I am surprised that your anonymous writer, who is obviously well-read chose not to enlighten himself with historical fact… but then maybe it just didn’t fit in with the reality of his own existence and advancement.

Perhaps it is a two way street. Your writer receives no ‘advancement’ by this article. To the contrary.
We received the same education, mine was just a little earlier than yours and much closer to source. So are my observations. It would behoove all of us to read both sides of the coin and not accept or reject for ideological purposes but to look at the issues in terms of human beings. We have the past, then we have today. Tell me which 20 year old in South Africa today is responsible for apartheid, or for colonialization? Fighting the ‘writer’ with no idea of background here is surely baying into the wind. Fighting the old fights because of hatred, one for the other will bring us nowhere, but simply highlights the depth of depravity of humankind. We can be better is my hope.
I do appreciate what you are saying but please appreciate that most South Africans do not hate individual white people (irrespective of whether they are twenty or older).
What is a problem is that many Africans have realized that ‘political freedom’ (essentially the right to vote) is less than useless when it comes to the realities of day-to-day life. In fact the remnants of colonial and apartheid economies, policies and infrastructure were never dismantled, merely modified and dressed up to assume the garb of political correctness. The world is still run by the same entities and policies as have been dominant for the last three hundred years. While change may be afoot under Xi and Putin and a better system of organizing human societies is under way, down here it’s business as usual and the corporates call the shots. Monopoly crony capitalism still gives the marching orders, whether it’s the Guptas or the Oppenheimers or whichever other faction. This is not unique to South Africa, it’s the norm … that’s why lobbying and campaign contributions are legal and apparently corporations are people.
The TRC (truth and reconciliation commission) was a way for all South Africans to humanise the ‘other’, a way for blacks to symbolically and emotionally forgive the beneficiaries of apartheid and for whites who ‘never knew’ to appreciate the pain and outrages that the ‘other’ had suffered as a way towards creating a human society. 24 years later it is self evident that this has not worked because for the poor masses life has not improved to the extent of their expectations, unrealistic and vain as those expectations may be. The acquisitive material individualistic hedonistic lifestyle is desired by so many that I’m beginning to question what it means to be human these days.
There is no definitely no state oppression, torture nor murder ( no Assassination squads like in apartheid days) of whites here, but there is crime … a whole lot of crime. And it affects everyone.
Here is a link to the Land Act of 1913.
http://www.politicsweb.co.za/documents/1913-natives-land-act-the-original-text
I would appreciate it if you could point out to me the parts where the “indigenous people” are dispossed of their land. I can’t seem to find anything.
What are the ‘scheduled native areas’ referred to in the Act, what perecentage of the country did these areas make up? Does 7% for those who were there and 93% for the newly arrived well armed interlopers seem fair to you?
Are you actually disputing that this Act dispossessed the indigenous people of the vast majority of their land resources?
As an Engelsman, it would enlighten you to read Sol Plaatjie’s ‘Native Life in South Africa’ (free on iBooks) to get an understanding of the lived human consequences of this abhorrent piece of legislation.
In other words, you can’t find the parts of the Land Act of 1913 that “disposed the indigenous people of their land” because that is not contained in that Act or in fact, any other. Perhaps your emotive reasoning and platitudes work on your circle of friends. If you are an interloper, as you say, nd no more indigenous to the Western Cape than a Black, then why not leave since you have no right to live in South Africa by your own definition?
You are simply unable to accept the truth that the Land Act preserved Black ownership of land and stopped Whites from buying Black-owned land.
Yes it preserved ownership for 7% of the arable land of the country for blacks.
93% of the arable land was outside the ‘scheduled native areas’ that is referred to in the Act. This land was preserved for whites.
How generous you English are to only steal 93% of the country while preserving the 7% of arable land for blacks.
Perhaps you could tell explain to me how 1-3 million Blacks, who traditionally lived as subsistence farmers (i.e. small scale agriculture) in 1901 could cover the entirety of South Africa? How generous of you to give them the entire country – to do what with? Again, like everyone else, you cannot provide a single example of Whites stealing land from Blacks, or Whites genociding Blacks. All you can do is slander White South Africans with false accusations.
You are operating on a lot of assumptions.
I have been taught that when the ignorant approach me, I should say Peace and be on my way.
Peace
You are incapable of engaging in any constructive debate or refuting my arguments and can only make accusations that are not factually based. When dealing with the ignorant who are determined to remain ignorant, I always say Peace and good riddance.
mod-to note: Perhaps it is best to focus on the principles of the discussion rather than the personalities. Further “attacks” on each other will be banned inclusive of any relevant discussion that may be within the comment.
Anon’s contribution for the Saker Blog consists of a substantial list of complaints against black majority rule over the white minority in SA. The author compromises his credibility, however, when he accuses former SA president Thabo Mbeki on the grounds of his hostility against the racist American AIDS hypothesis — a theory which is outright nonsense. Anon even holds Mbeki responsible for half a million AIDS victims, based on a fake paper by an American main stream senior scientist. The dishonesty of that paper was completely revealed by the alternative AIDS-theoretist Peter Duesberg and co-workers. These authors rather praise Mbeki for having saved countless lives by not administering deadly “anti-HIV” drugs:

” Later on it was found that the South African State at the time, had its own Dr. Death, cooking up secret chemical and biological warfare cocktails for use in torture and questioning of communist dissidents. It is so that these so-called communist dissidents, were their own countrymen and women, yet, the White Rule somehow could not integrate that”.
Also from Wikipedia re the trial of Wouter Basson: “Basson’s trial began on 4 October 1999 in Pretoria…Basson called only one witness – himself. In July 2001 Basson began to present his own evidence, speaking for 40 days”.
I think it is worth noting that Wouter Basson, one of the finest minds of his generation and a world-class cardiologist, was found Not Guilty on all 67 charges. Dr Death is also Dr Not Guilty. Put that one in your Cultural Marxist pipes and smoke it.
I am a conservative protestant Afrikaner of French origin, my grandfather was born here in 1912 i dont know when his father came from europe, anyway i can tell u that a Huti Tutsi style genocide is very very close, the target will be all whites, Indians and probably Colourds [a early mix of white settlers and indigenous Khoi San ] too there could also be a tribal war thrown into that since the Zulu does not want to be governed by another tribe like the Tswana on Xhoza and visa versa.
This unprecedented disaster is a prime example and result of the US and Europe’s forced liberal foreign policy…
The EU ‘s current immigration disaster is the next example….
One little historical note:
During the reign of Napoleon the Netherlands was under French rule while Britain controlled the seas. That meant that the Dutch lost most contact with their colonies. The British took advantage of this by taking over some Dutch colonies. After Napoleon’s rule ended they gave back a few but kept most.
South Africa was one of the colonies that changed hand in this period (Sri Lanka was another).
