Syrian government forces are clashing with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and ISIS in the northeastern countryside of Hama.
Recently, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) liberated the villages of Jub Tabqaliyah, Abu Laffah, Wadi Zurub, Kherbet Juwayid, Msheirfeh and Rasm al-Tinah. According to pro-government sources, 30 HTS members, including 3 military commanders, were killed.
Separately, the SAA and the NDF advanced on the village of Abu Dali in northern Hama. It was captured by HTS on October 8.
According to pro-government sources, government forces recaptured Farkeh, Zahra Hill and Rajm Alahmar area, but didn’t enter Abu Dali itself.
The SAA and the NDF used clashes between Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and ISIS in order to prepare and launch a limited military operation aimed at building a wider buffer zone west of the Ithriyah-Aleppo highway, which has been repeatedly attacked by militants over the last year.
In the city of Deir Ezzor, the SAA Tiger Forces, the Republican Guard and the NDF liberated worker district 1, worker district 2, Afri district and the stadium from ISIS terrorists. Government troops also advanced in the districts of al-Hamidiyah and Jbela.
The advance came amid an intense fighting with ISIS. The terrorist group’s media outlet Amaq claimed that pro-government forces lost 35 fighters, two battle tanks and a BMP-1 vehicle.
At the same time, the SAA and Hezbollah attempted to push towards al-Bukamal from the direction of T2 Pumping Station. However, no significant success was achieved.
On October 28, the US-led coalition officially announced that it and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are working to consolidate their gains in the Omar oil fields and to advance on the ISIS-held border town of al-Bukamal at the border with Iraq.
The real goal of the advance is to attempt to prevent Syria and Iraq from restoring control over the Deir Ezzor-Baghdad highway.
In Iraq, the army, the Federal Police, the Counter-Terrorism Service and the Popular Mobilization Units are working to build a buffer between an area controlled by the US-backed forces in Syria and an area controlled by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq.
As soon as, government forces establish full control over Faysh Khabur area, this goal will be achieved. Furthermore, Iraq and Turkey have already agreed to establish a Turkish-Iraqi border crossing using this area.
The successful operation of government forces to re-take contested areas from the KRG’s Peshmerga force came amid a rapid push towards the ISIS-held city of al-Qaim. This clearly demonstrated that the army and its allies have much more military power than the KRG’s leadership expected while it was starting their attempt to secede from Iraq.
On Sunday, the KRG’s President Masoud Barzani announced that he resigns from the presidency on November 1. This decision is a logical result of the recent failures of the KRG policy and a loss of large oil—rich areas to the federal government that started with the September 25 independence referendum held by Barzani’s government.
Well, bearing in mind how long it has been fighting, the Syrian Army deserves praise. True, it’s victories have been achieved with Russian air cover, but even so.

Russia has so crushed the wahhabi project in Syria, the Kurds and Saudis are currently falling over themselves to adjust to the new regional ‘order’- with the laughable ‘modernising’ stories coming out of the KSA for the last two days. But the kurds are only capable of minor trouble making, and the Saudis dive back under a rock when they sense real danger to their own little world.
The battle moves on and today it erupted in the USA, with the first legal actions against American ‘traitors’ who ‘worked’ with Russia. RT, in one of the stupidest articles I’ve seen there, proclaimed Russia was saved cos the indictments were not about the ‘Kremlin’. Yet at the very same moment the BBC and every other zionist outlet were loudly crowing that the American government was beginning the process of prosecuting ***Kremlin*** linked senior US officials.
The Red Scare has reached a new phase in the USA. Facebook is about to announce that Putin directly influenced the majority of US voters. It does not matter how laughable these lies are. All that matters with propaganda is its reach, and success in controlling the message.
Russia has won in Syria- how many times are we going to celebrate this victory? Cos I think many people on our side are frightened to consider the new, current battlefields since we are clearly losing in every one of them.
Russia holds the ‘Israeli’ position on Iranian forces in Syria- indeed Putin has the same submissive attitude to Israeli wishes that one sees throughout the West. Only today jewish terrorists from Israel butchered another bunch of Humans in Gaza using weapons designed to fight WW3- and hell will freeze over before Putin condemns such acts. I don’t think RT or Sputnik even covered the massacre. Putin will not allow Russia to sell to Syria or Iran the advanced air defense systems Putin has personally offered Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Israel. And Putin’s excuse is UN sanctions- sanctions Russia supported and yet will never support against Israel or Saudi Arabia, even though the crimes of Israel and Saudi Arabia are the worst the region has ever experienced.
So as the Deep State takes the active demonisation of Russia and Russian interests to new heights in the USA, Putin bends over backwards to reward the absolute assets of the West, Turkey, Israel and Saudi Arabia. You just couldn’t make this up. The West smashes all of Russia’s ‘toys’, and Russia responds by ensuring the toys of the West are cleaned and looked after and kept in perfect condition for the future use of the West.
Putin returns the ruins of Syria back to the control of its people- but only until the West finds another way to continue the real hurt there. Meanwhile the Deep State hurtles toward war with Iran while Russia acts to help the West’s regional assets to protect themselves against Iran’s future desperate attempts to fight back. Putin has written Iran off as sadly you are all going to witness in the near future.
Putin’s ***only*** strategy is to believe that when push comes to shove, the West won’t go ahead with this war. In this regard he is horrifyingly naive. Hitler was allowed to make the early very powerful war moves of the nazi empire cos of the same thinking by those who had every incentive to pre-emptively act to prevent those moves. Every one of Putin’s instincts tells him to be an ‘appeaser’, and only act if appeasement fails.
In America as I type, the Deep State is now telling the citizens via all media outlets that all current and previous ‘friends’ of Russia are going to prison. And Trump is sitting on his hands, nodding in agreement, and telling any who will listen that these people obviously operated in all the years before he came to power. A witch-hunt unlike anything seen earlier in US history- and a direct conseqence of Putin’s weakness in confronting a movement emboldened by Putin’s servile support of West agendas at the UN.
Brave Russians are dying in Syria while Putin rewards those who empowered the terrorist killers to every degree- namely Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Israel. Do you think this is right, because I most certainly do not.
When Russia began the hard work in Syria, every lousy zionist outlet parroted the same lie about Russia protecting ISIS rather than destroying it. A few years later, and Russia has crushed the wahhabi terror gangs to such an extent no zionist media outlet disputes this. But today, regardless, no zionist media outlet has a good word to say about Russia in Syria. Does the ***truth*** serve Putin? No it does not!. Appeaser Putin gets the exact same treatment by the lousy zionists. Casual readers of the press thus think Russia is an active ***evil*** in Syria, as amazing as this seems.
No-one pays a price for lying about Russia. No-one is punished. Israel and Saudi Arabia actually boast about their roles in helping demonise Russia, even as Putin rolls out the red carpet when their depraved terrorist leaders are invited to visit Moscow. It makes you want to scream.
Russia May Downsize Its Air Group In Syria – Russian Media.
“According to Russian Kommersant media outlet, Russia may pull some of its forces out of Syria. Bashar al-Assad’s government forces control approximately 95% of Syrian territories, and the final offensive doesn’t require vast support. If the plan comes to fruition, only the military police, military advisers and the personnel necessary for the security of assets in Khmeimim and Tartus will remain in Syria. Kommersant’s sources say that the mixed Russian Aerospace Forces units may be skeletonized, but the anti-aircraft systems that cover Russian assets will remain.”

Nezavisimaya Gazeta: Syria’s Kurdish project gets off the ground
The Congress of Syrian people is expected to discuss the Kurdish federalization plan for the Arab republic, Kurdish Democratic Union Party envoy to Moscow, Abd Salam Ali, told Nezavisimaya Gazeta on Tuesday. He said the Congress would host a dialogue on the fate of the Democratic Federation of Northern Syria (previously known as Rojava), which was unilaterally declared by the Syrian Kurds in spring 2016. Preliminary consultations on the Congress may already take place in mid-November at the Russian Hmeimim base in Latakia.
“We are ready for this. It is time for Bashar Assad to start talks,” said the envoy for the party, which is considered as one of the major political forces in the country’s north. “The Kurds are not calling for independence. They are trying now to ensure the creation of a federated democratic republic as part of a united Syria,” he said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the plans to hold the Congress during the Valdai International Discussion Club earlier this month. The function of this Congress will be to assist the Geneva talks, a representative of the Moscow group of Syria’s opposition, Qadri Jamil, told the paper. The Syrian Kurds must attend the Congress or otherwise the idea will lose its point.
Moscow’s representatives point out that it is too early to say if the Congress, which should bring together the representatives of all nationalities and religious denominations throughout Syria, will definitely be held in Hmeimim.
Lately, Damascus has toned down its rhetoric on the Kurds, which have been successfully battling the Islamic State (terror group, outlawed in Russia), the paper writes.
Russian experts note that the liberation of Raqqa from jihadists already raises the question on the future political climate in Syria. Turkish analysts say the Congress may help the Syrian Kurds to obtain legitimacy.
