On August 2, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that warplanes of the Israeli Air Force had bombed several fighters of the ISIS-affiliated Khalid ibn al-Walid Army near the occupied Golan Heights. Seven militants were killed in the strikes according to the Israeli media.
This was the second attack by the IDF on the Khalid ibn al-Walid Army during the last two weeks. On July 26, Israeli warplanes destroyed a rocket launcher allegedly belonging to the group in southwestern Syria.
An official of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) announced that members of the Khalid ibn al-Walid Army are attempting to cross the border from Syria. According to him, the JAF’s 10th Border Guard Battalion clashed with the terrorists in the Yarmouk Valley killing a number of them.
According to Syrian sources, some number of terrorist group members are still hiding near the Golan Heights and at the border between Syria and Jordan. They are attempting to flee the area in order to hide from the ongoing security operation by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
During the operation in southwestern Syria, the SAA and its allies liberated 3,332km2 and 146 settlements, the head of the Russian General Staff Col. Gen. Sergei Rudskoi said during a press briefing. 50 of them were liberated by peaceful means after negotiations.
Militants in the area surrendered over 650 pieces of military equipment, including 39 battle tanks, 28 infantry fighting vehicles and armoured personnel carriers, 10 Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, 35 anti-aircraft guns, 17 multiple launch rocket systems, 60 machine guns and 23 anti-tank missile launchers. A total of 4,927 members of militant groups and 5,355 their supporters left the area towards the province of Idlib via an open corridor in the framework of the reached surrender agreement.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) conducted its first patrol along the separation line between Syrian and Israeli forces. The Russian Military Police established eight observation posts in front of the UNDOF in order to prevent provocations in the area.
As soon as the situation in southwestern Syria is stabilized, the SAA will be able to re-deploy most of its forces to other frontlines and to start another round of combating terrorism in the country.
Congratulations to the Syrians on ‘almost’ getting their country back! That said, I am increasingly worried about the multi-thousands of trained and battle-hardened ISIS types being ‘banished’ to the Idlib area. In my mind, that is an enormous concentration of troops, who are probably even-now being rearmed by the usual sources. I have more and more apprehension that the ‘army’ thus concentrated will conduct a pre-strike against the neighboring Syrian forces, before the southern Syrian forces can re-deploy north. I hope I am wrong…
I expect a good deal of Idlib provence will be retaken in the same manner Daraa and other pockets of Jihadi Orcs have.
Nevertheless, at the end of the day, there is likely to be 10-20 thousand die-hards, Orcs of the worst description who will prefer “martyrdom” to surrender. These bastards all SERIOUSLY NEED TO DIE, and this will happen on the battlefield.
I don’t think that a final, monster battle to destroy the last of the Orcs is avoidable.
Antoinetta III
A couple days ago the Russian MoD brief stated that the number of terrorists in Idlib is around 40,000. This will be a large battle involving many more Russian forces than at any other time in Syria. There is also a possibility China will send forces as well to participate. Syrians, Turks, Kurds, Iranians, Hezbolla, and many malitias all working as a team under Russian leadership. This will be the largest battle yet in this war and will be, I believe, its end at the same time.
I see one additional thing, antonietta III.
The russian and syrian commanders should be oriented politically towards one specific guideline: whoever of those terrorist or rebel or any other name given to those bastards, who OBTAINED grace and changed sides peacefully in this Process… and subsequently is CAUGHT fighting the SAA, russian or Assad forces should be mercilessly shot down in public place.
For everyone to get aware.
maybe, but the REAL TERRORISTA is in the capital cities of us,eu,israel & gcc countries ,the moderate head choppers are ordered by them,if anybody is not aware of this ,geopolitically they are SLEEPING still.
@Goshawk. I believe China will at last join Russia in militarily helping Syria and Hezb’Allah against NATZO’s mercenary army, because some of these mercenaries have been imported by NATZO from China and would later be used by NATZO to destabilize China. One of the reasons why Russia stepped in was that NATZO also imports from Chechnia; Putin realized that if he did not eliminate NATZO’s Chechen terrorists in Syria he would have them back in Russia. I hope you are right when you fear these mercenaries are fighting for a cause, that they will be happy to die _ad majorem gloriam AZC_: because that is going to be their fate. So NATZO’s terrorists will die happy: what greater boon can the gods confer?
Chinese Millitary Is Willing To Support Syrian Army Operation Against Militants In Idlib Province: Ambassador
On August 3, China’s ambassador to Syria Qi Qianjin said during an interview with the Syrian al-Watan newspaper that the Chinese military is willing to participate in some way in any military operation of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) against the radical groups in the northern governorate of Idlib.
China’s military attaché Wong Roy Chang noted that any involvement of the Chinese military in Idlib operation will require a political decision.
Over the last three years, several reports claimed that China is planning to intervene militarily in Syria in order to neutralize the threat of Uyghurs fighters. However, to this day the Chinese military has not taken any active steps in this direction.

China’s force structure is consistent with a defensive doctrine for securing its borders, as light infantry units are stationed on the border itself while most maneuver units capable of offensive operations are based hundreds of kilometers away in the interior. Due to the potential for ethnic unrest in the frontiers, which places a premium on cooperation with neighboring states, China’s defensive posture on the Asian continent is likely to endure.
Although China is strengthening its air and naval power projection capabilities, it can today still most readily employ military force over land with its army and land-based air power. To date, China has yet to develop expeditionary forces to project power over water far from its shores.

“It is obviously no coincidence if Syria, where the idea of a state was first imagined and developed several thousand years ago, is the land upon which this war will end.
It is because they benefited from a true state which never stopped functioning that Syria, its people, its army and its President were able to resist against the most gigantic coalition in history, constituted by 114 member states of the United Nations.”

Idlib is now the worlds sanctuary for jihadists. 40000 or more all in one tiny prefecture, heavily armed with turks gifts. Assad cant win this on his own, Russia will be in a battle like one from the patriotic war. All depends on how much erdogan really is in disagreement with NATO, and how much he is prepared to admit his neo ottaman project is dead. If the turkish force co operated with Russia it could be over quickly.
The list of surrendered equipment is really worth of an army. Cheers to the SAA!

1.2 Million Syrian Refugees Have Already Returned to Syria.
” One info shared at Sochi this week was that everyone there accepted the number of 1.2 millions refugees that returned to Syria already and many more will return in the south due to the impressive 45 days liberation campaign.
All in one the Syria population that was running at 23 millions prior to 2011 and went down to 18.5 millions, is no back to 20 millions give or take and may reach 21 millions in 2019. Some Syrians that left won’t be back plus the many soldiers and civilians that dies during the war make up the difference. The critical aspect is that there will be plenty of jobs for many Syrians during the re construction of cities and infra structures.” (Canthama)
Increased Numbers of Russian Military Personnel in Syria.
” Russia is dead clear that NE Lattakia, NE Hama and NE Idlib must be cleared form the terrorists, since they are hitting Khmeimim airbase from al Ghab and Jisr al Shughour, so we will see action to clear that area for good no doubt, besides the border with Turkey is full of al Qaeda, thousands are foreigners, these groups must be annihilated or Syria won’t see peace in that area for a long time.
There are reports of increased Russian military arriving in Syria, contrary to what was said in public by many Russian Officials, this can only mean the campaign in NW Syria will have a bigger component of Russia military as it was in the south of Syria, meaning, reconciliation will be pursued with Russia-Turkey as guarantors in most areas, while military efforts to utterly defeat al Qaeda groups. We will hear more about that in the next few days.” (Canthama)
Why Does China Want to Take Part in Idlib Offensive?
” The excellent Kevork Almassian explains the reasons behind this Chinese decision at the last round of the war of aggression against the Syrians.” (Canthama)

Meanwhile, on the positive side, having “gotten most of their country back”, Syrians are rebuilding:

Good News > Syrian Pharmaceutical Minister Dr. Habib Aboud said locally-made cancer medicines available within three months. Syrian medicine industry achieved remarkable reputation before terrorist war – used to cover 93% of local market’s needs and exported medicine to 59 countries. Aboud said major breakthrough with 90 percent local market needs of locally-manufactured medicines covered and securing 90 percent import needs, percentages not reached since beginning of the crisis.

“Israeli Air Force bombed several fighters of the ISIS-affiliated Khalid ibn al-Walid Army near the occupied Golan Heights. Seven militants were killed”
That’s not very nice: attacking ISIS who never, ever attacked Israel.
What a circus !
South Front moderator is trying to fool us into believing that Israel is fighting their precious baby ISIS terrorists. NO way ,madam. We know well : ALL terrorists in Syria were created, trained and armed by Israhell . NO, Israel did not finance them, Israel NEVER gives away $$$,but the world knows who did it.
It would be better NOT to quote Israeli b..s..

Once the last of ISIS was rolled up by the Syrians and Russians in Daraa and Quneitra they are no longer a credible fighting force. The remnants of ISIS have therefore lost their potential usefulness to the Zionist Entity, but remain a loose cannon, a potential liability.
So killing off these last remnants seems the logical thing to do.
Antoinetta III
” logical thing… ” for israhell to make an impression of fighting “terrorists” while bombing Syrian Army and civilians. Only uninformed people can trust israel.
