Turkey on Wednesday rejected claims by the US, which said Turkish forces had reached an agreement for a temporary pause with the Kurdish militia in northern Syria.
EU Affairs Minister Omer Celik said: “We do not accept in any circumstances a ‘compromise or a ceasefire reached between Turkey and Kurdish elements’. The Turkish republic is a sovereign, legitimate state. You cannot say it has reached a deal with terrorists,”. https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/turkey-turns-u-s-proposal-ceasefire-syrian-kurds/
US say Kurds are moving back east of the Euphrates. Kurds say they are heading to al Bab. US say Turkey and Kurds have agreed on a Truce. Turkey says no truce with terrorists. US airbase for close air support in that region is Incirlik. It seems the US is now totally enmeshed in its own web of deceit and lies.
This whole setup makes no sense, if Turkey occupies Syria. Ok, then what? How does that solve the Kurd problem? If Turkey wanted to mess up the kurds for real all they have to do is shut the border and crush the terrorists. Then he can call his friend Putin and say: I ll help with the terrorists, just make sure the Kurds never become a problem for me. Problem solved.
Instead he makes all this fuss about Gulenists infiltrating his military. No truth here. Much more likely that the top brass in his military are refusing to go along with the plan of Israel to dismember Syria and Turkey. They are getting removed because of that. Not because they are with Gulen and the CIA. Eventually, Erdogan will have to go. Once he has done all the damage he can to his own country.
I hope Putin will not stand by and watch the oligarchs in Nato get away with this. They did it in Ukraine, dont let them succeed in Turkey. People have to get informed, I think. Information is the key. We need to know. Information is essential to stop those crooks.

On Tuesday the terrorist militia ISIS has carried out an attack against the Turkish army in Syria. The Turks requested that the US, due to a binding agreement, supply air support against the terrorist militia. But the US Air Force is said to have ignored the request for help.
On Tuesday the terrorist militia ISIS attacked pro-Turkish mercenaries and the Turkish military in the west of Jarabulus. A Turkish tank was hit by a rocket launcher, Reuters reports. Three soldiers were wounded. According to information of the news agency Anadolu, the attack of ISIS took place around 18 o’clock. The Turkish military contacted the US Air Force in Incirlik to request air support against ISIS. But the US-Jets ignored the request of the Turks to help against ISIS, to which Ankara and Washington had previously agreed. The Americans are accused of having hold out on the Turks for an hour. Finally, the Turks decided to use their own jets against ISIS.
US jets however flew three hours later into the combat zone, bombed empty stretches of land and flew back. “The Americans had promised to send US jets in emergency for support. But they did not come. We have a number of casualties. It was part of the plan that Americans provide assistance against ISIS. They should have come to help us. Because of the promise of the Americans, the Turkish Air Force came almost too late and we would have suffered heavy losses, “Al Jazeera quoted a spokesman for the pro-Turkish mercenaries.”

“RUSSIA REFUSES TO COORDINATE AIRSTRIKES ON ALEPPO WITH US
Moscow insists on direct dialogue between Damascus and the Pentagon.
Russia is ready to coordinate strikes on targets with the US everywhere in Syria, except the province of Aleppo because only the Syrian Air Force operates in this area, and the issue should be discussed with the Syrian government, the Izvestiya newspaper reported, citing to a source, informed on the progress of the last week’s negotiations between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry in Geneva.
Experts believe that Moscow and Washington will be able to find an ‘acceptable formula of interaction,’ and Russia may become a mediator between the US and the Syrian authorities.
“The US sent Russia a package of proposals on the coordination of air operations, primarily, in the province of Aleppo. However, Moscow made it clear that the Russian Aerospace Forces do not bomb Aleppo and its neighborhood, and the US need to negotiate with the command of the Syrian Air Force to coordinate airstrikes on targets there,” the source told Izvestiya.
He also added that Russia has no objection to the idea of coordinated airstrikes, but only outside the area of a few tens of kilometers around Aleppo.
Earlier, media reported that during the talks in Geneva, Lavrov and Kerry discussed a “possibility of starting to apply coordinated airstrikes against terrorists in Aleppo from mid-September.”
Chairman of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy, Fedor Lukyanov, noted that the US would not contact directly with Bashar al-Assad’s government, but this problem may be solved through Russian mediation.
“The problem is how to formalize the cooperation because the US is ready to cooperate with Syrians, but at the same time the country is not going to depart from its position of official non-recognition of Assad. Therefore, compromise schemes are necessary,” Lukyanov told Izvestiya.
At the same time, the expert pointed out that an atmosphere of total distrust between Russia and the West would not allow to agree on joint combat operations. For this reason, the cooperation of Russian and American military may be only limited.”

MOSCOW, September 1. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his US counterpart John Kerry discussed in a phone conversation on Thursday the situation in Syria and the prospects of bilateral cooperation, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said.
“The focus was on the situation in Syria, including the prospects of the Russian-US cooperation in the fight against the terrorist groups entrenched there,” the ministry said, adding that the conversation was held at the initiative of the US side.

Saker, the article “Russia, Syria, and Turkey have agreed on joint operations in Syria” by V. However, I am unable to find confirmation of the three agreed points by Lavrov and Zakharova, or any other official source. Do you know whether the Kremlin confirmed the three agreed points? “Russia and the United States are rumored to be close to reaching an agreement on joint measures to halt fighting in and around Aleppo, Syria’s second largest city. Turkey’s ground offensive in northern Syria, formally known as Operation Euphrates Shield, “could play a major role in this process,” Svobodnaya Pressa asserted. The new deal will most likely involve both sides sponsoring a ceasefire in Aleppo and introducing a mechanism to uphold it, but it will not see armed rebel groups put down their weapons or Moscow and Washington conduct joint airstrikes on the city, the media outlet noted. © SPUTNIK/ MICHAEL ALAEDDIN Situation on the Ground in Syria ‘Has Begun to Resemble a Global War’ Turkey’s ground offensive that was launched on August 24 was “apparently coordinated” with Moscow, Damascus and Tehran, the media outlet said, offering possible conditions of the agreement if it was made. They involve Ankara saying yes to Assad remaining in power, making every effort to prevent the Kurds from carving an independent state out of northern Syria and withdrawing its support from Jaysh al-Fath, also known as the Army of Conquest. The latter is a jihadist coalition, comprising Ahrar al-Sham, Jaish al-Islam, Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly called al-Nusra Front), Jabhat Ansar al-Din, Jaysh al-Sunna, etc. In addition, “thirteen rebel factions of Fatah Halab, a group that has been fighting against government forces in Idlib and Aleppo, were redeployed through the Turkish territory to northern Syria prior to Ankara’s operation,” Svobodnaya Pressa said. “Along with the Turkish military they are currently fighting against Daesh and the Syrian Democratic Forces made of Kurdish and Arab fighters.” Fatah Halab comprises Faylaq al-Sham, Nour al-Din al-Zinki, Sultan Murad, Jabhat al-Shamiya, 13th Division, Suqor al-Jebel, Jaish al-Tahrir, Hamza Division, Jaish al-Nasr, Mutassim Brigade, Ahrar Tel Rifaat, Liwa al-Fate and to an extent Ahrar al-Sham, an organization that Russia considers to be a terrorist group. © SPUTNIK/ UMIT BEKTAS Turkish army tanks and military personal are stationed in Karkamis on the Turkish-Syrian border in the southeastern Gaziantep province, Turkey, August 25, 2016 © SPUTNIK/ KHALED AL-KHATEB Syrian Army Repels Attacks in North of Hama Province, Up to 50 Terrorists Killed “There is only one way to resolve the Fatah Halab issue – by adding the group to the list of organizations covered by the ceasefire,” Svobodnaya Pressa said. “The group has already published a statement agreeing to deliver humanitarian aid to Aleppo through the Ramouseh suburb and the Castello Road.” Ahrar al-Sham, Jaish al-Islam and Jabhat Fatah al-Sham could also be added to the list of groups covered by the ceasefire regime that Russia and the US brokered in early 2016, Svobodnaya Pressa said. “If leaders of these groups come to an agreement, then the plan under which al-Nusra Front opted for a rebranding will work. The organization will dissolve in the new structure that will join the ceasefire. This new group will most likely be led by Ahrar al-Sham,” the media outlet noted. © SPUTNIK/ MICHAEL ALAEDDIN A destroyed building in the Bani Zeid district in north Aleppo © SPUTNIK/ MIKHAIL ALAYEDDIN Syrian Army Liberates Half of Territory of Air Force School in Southern Aleppo If these assertions are correct, the new agreement between Russia and the US will not “cleanse” Aleppo of armed opposition, but it will still be able to enforce a ceasefire regime in the city. Some rebel fighters will then join those fighting against Daesh in northern Syria. There are certain doubts that either Russia or the US will agree to view al-Nusra Front as a member of legitimate opposition, since both countries consider al-Qaeda’s former offshoot in Syria to be a terrorist organization. On Monday, US Special Envoy for Syria Michael Ratney said that all stakeholders “need to intensify efforts” against terrorist groups, namely Daesh and al-Nusra Front, since they pose a threat to the US and the international community.
