Dear friends,
It looks like Hurricane Dorian might become an infamous “Labor Day Hurricane” which will most likely devastate a large part of the state: right now Dorian in scheduled to make landfall just east of Lake Okeechobee and then turn north towards Orlando-Gainesville. See for yourself:
Keep in mind that these tracks just show the statistical center of the “cone of uncertainty” and don’t pay too much attention to the track. The general movement of the hurricane is, however, probably correct.
Dorian is pretty small. This is both bad and good. It is bad because small hurricanes tend to rotate faster (Hurricane Andrew anybody?), but it is also good because the hurricane-force-winds field is pretty small (right now at 35 miles in each direction from the center, but that will probably grow.
My family and I will be evacuating towards a strongly-built hotel not too far from where we live. We should be okay. As for the rest…
Dorian will probably be even more devastating than Hurricane Charley in 2004 and there will be chaos everywhere: gridlocked roads, power-grids down, empty stores, fights at gas stations, etc.
And just to make things worse, Dorian is also going to slow down after making landfall.
So,
I will be busy protecting my family, praying that I still have a home come Thursday and “hunkering down” as the Floridian expression goes.
Starting today the blogs goes into a minimal mode until at least Thursday Sept 5th.
As of right now I have 81 emails to answer and I simply cannot do that (I am busy packing our belongings and preparing the house). So, unfortunately, I have to ask you to:
If you have sent me an email and not received a reply, please email me again after Thursday Sept 5th.
Other than that – I ask for your patience, understanding and prayers.
Signing off with hugs and cheers to all,
The Saker

I hope it turns out ok for you, your family and the other souls in its path.
Dear friends,
Thank you for your kind words!
I will try to update you as best I can here.
Kind regards and hugs to all,
The Saker
Good luck to you and your family!
I do hope that your house will be unharmed, and I’m quite certain that the bunker you are retreating in will be fine.
You can take my word for it, while I’ve once survived a severe fire in my house, that a house is just material.
You and your family, take good care of each other. That’s the most important. And let Mother Nature have a sneeze ;-)
Cheers, Rob
Stay safe Mr. Saker and Family, may The Lord God always protects you all. Take care.
No worries, the power of Christ is with you!
My prayers also are with you and yours and Floidians generally
To know, you are moving with the spirit, is a consolation.
Have a happy return to your family-home.
Dear Saker, best wishes to you and your family. I’ll pray that the weather engineers are kind to you and your area of Florida, Dutch Abraham
Be safe and well, You ,and Yours famly!
Three or four days ago or more, the MSM showed a high pressure system hovering off North and South Carolinas, supposedly forcing hurricane Dorian into FL. BUT, any international weather site showed there actually was none. A day or two ago, they lessened that view of a fake high.
Our Space Coast property appears to be safe. But, hundreds of millions of citizens, worrying, due to fake weather news? Florida is saved, unless they have something else up their sleeves in the next couple days.
Stay safe, my friend. My other friend near Melbourne has already evactuated, left Friday for way far away from this storm.

I am in south Brevard about 20miles from the coast awaiting Dorian also.
Prayers for you, your family, safety and home.
Blessings
Cindy-
My house is in North Brevard. Hope you are staying safe. I’m out of state now.
