I believe Douglas Macgregor is 100% correct. I also believe Russia has to take all of Ukraine, for a division of Ukraine with European nations will never work for Poland and other nations are aggressive to Russia.
If the UK, NATO, Europeans & uS send ant more weapons of War to Ukraine then there should be direct retaliation on the country involved. One thing that could be done easily is to target their Embassies in Kiev. They would babble & make big noise but would be impotent to do anything without fear of massive return fire.
I do not consider myself an armchair general — Russia needs to strike these assholes hard to stop the flow. I read a very interesting article that others here may enjoy. “NATO’s Iraqi Oil for Food Program Targets Russia”

its so sad for the Ukrainian soldiers – I’m not very sympathetic to the mercenaries – and as far as the Nazis go – they seem to be the ‘commanders’ that abandon the little groups of Ukrainian soldiers.
There is very little movement on the front. It is likely that the Russian forces have been in position to begin accumulating for an offensive for at least a couple of weeks. The lack of movement has many commentators on various blogs wondering why the Russians are holding back. It would be helpful if Colonel MacGregor would remind his audience that a crucial factor which is affecting army movement on both sides is the weather.
After many days of autumn rain on the fields, the soil is so muddy that it is impossible for large scale movements of tanks and APCs to begin. And the season of day-and-night below freezing temperatures has not yet begun. Weeks of below freezing temperatures will be needed before tanks and heavy vehicles can move across the fields. But, once the real winter temperatures set in, movement across the frozen soil will be very easy – the soil will be like iron and will be able to take any weight.
At present, the Ukrainians and the mercenaries are being annihilated in the Donbas. Those who get killed or injured are removed and they are replaced by others. To supply these soldiers, the supplies must traverse the whole of Ukraine at great cost. More and more, this process is depleting the weapon reserves of NATO. More and more, NATO soldiers are being sent east in Ukrainian uniforms. Russia can kill them without being accused of attacking NATO.
It’s seems the Universe has a sense of humour, that this whole farce, the gigantic western comedy of miscalculations and errors, should have a comedian cast as the President of Ukraine for the final act.
Why would the Russians negotiate with the US or anyone now?
The only conceivable reason for the US to decide to “negotiate” now would be with the same goal in mind as with the Minsk accords: to stall for time until the ground thaws again in the spring.
Then Russia has to wait for another year when it turns out that the US was “just kidding.”
Gaining a whole year for separating Ukrainians into three groups: Neo-nazis and militants who advanced into death, millions of civilians with which Russia judo-punched Europe, and people who welcome Russia as a neighbour and friend. Hello Donbass, Odessa, and Kiev.
Also bleeding NATO of military resources while having very few losses themselves.
Demilitarisation is one of the declared goals … but of whom was not stated. Now it is clearer that not only Ukraine but also NATO, the EU and the USA are being demilitarised to some degree.
Yes WTFUD, I realize there’s a double edge to the RF advances. And reading the Ukro-nazi losses gives some relief that RF are fairing well despite their soldier losses. For sure the civilian and children numbers are cause for every extreme retaliation.
Then stumble on a video like this one…. and can’t figure it out. Either the Ukro-nazis are on their last legs. Or being forced to drive around in armored vehicles with doors welded shut from the outside, across open minefields. Weirdest vid I’ve seen.
My take? It looks like the war’s near ground to a halt. And rather than face a tribunal, AFU & mercs are forced to drive around till something goes “boom.” Or until the green dot reaches the red dot…

. . . . and there stood Zelensky, wearing his misery like a halo.

Not really ann, the buggers keep firing in an easterly direction.

Ghost of Zelensky, Thane of Krivoy Rog meets the Ghost of Banquo.

Russia really has to finish the job now.
In fact, frozen ground conditions would have been a decent rationale for going in heavy back in February and not losing a whole year to warmer temps.

Minutes 15 through 16 most interesting. Col. Macgregor leaving a few breadcrumbs for those of us who are less well-informed/don’t have his sources.
My sentiments are with Col. D. Macgregor at 23:23. Putin is a powerhouse at this time and is to be commended for his restraint.
The AFU/Nazi “gravy train” is nearly dead in it’s tracks, for lack of a proper fuel anyways.
Yes, that restraint will win friends, but lose soldiers, civilians.
Who needs sunny day friends patting you on the back and whispering sweet nothings in your ear while ZATO pisses in your cornflakes?
ONLY frequent demonstrations of ruthless clinical military prowess deters US’s hubristic zeal.

Zelensky should by decree cut down their meds, more for him. Like wildebeest running of a cliff.
I suppose when faced with Russian shelling to your front and Nazi firing squads to your rear there might be a temptation to commit hari-kari.
