I am pleased to announce that The Essential Saker IV is now available in softcover, pdf and epub. The book covers Saker essays and analysis from January 2019 through to December 2019. The pre-publication work was completed literally minutes before the killing of General Suleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandis, just before we entered 2020 to encounter challenges that most could not foresee. Upon looking back over the year of 2019, one can only describe the trajectory of empire as death by 1,000 cuts. In this book we look back at events such as the Tulsi Gabbard phenomenon (here today, gone tomorrow), the Russian ‘pension chicken’ coming home to roost and the repeating Venezuela affairs. We look back at the many evidentiary events that sketch a weakening empire. In 2018 we looked back at The Empire that blinked, several times. At the end of 2019 we looked back at a Thousand Cuts for empire, a Thousand Times worse that simply blinking.
This is the 3rd Saker Book that we published ourselves, after having been given a donation by a kind Saker supporter to make our own self-publishing viable. Of course, very few of The Saker’s provocative titles would see the light of day on the Amazon’s of our world, so we had to roll our own, build our self-publishing mechanism and create a storefront and purchase ability on the saker.community site.
The softcover book is US$ 24.50 and, the epub is US$12.00 and the professional PDF is US$8.00.
The paperback consists of 604 pages, and because readers enjoyed the slightly bigger format that we followed for the Essential Saker III, we retained that format.
For the Essential Saker IV, some wonderful supporters supplied two forewords and one afterword. It always amazes me the love and amistad expressed in these included essays, for the books, the blogs and for The Saker.
On a small administrative note, our printer in the US now takes up to 21 days to print a book for us. The UK and Australia still supply within 3 to 5 days and with the new Australian Covid regulations, our printer in Australia has let us know that they will remain open for business. This in itself tells a story of an empire or rather the home of empire not being able to maintain pace. While this book is smaller than The Essential Saker III, it was done to keep cost as low as possible after increases in paper costs and various new handling fees.
As usual we followed an editorial policy to first retain The Saker’s unique voice, and then worried about the exact grammar and perfect English. This is probably more an asset than a liability, and completely in line with those that speak more than one language. The back cover page contains three comments by regular readers and commenters, and these were given to us with a noticeably kind, genuine and generous spirit. Thank you! and Thank you! to those who provided forewords and the afterword.
As always, our artist Dalibor supplies cover art that is frequently shocking, but truly original, given the least of directional guidance. It simply works.
All of the previous Essential Saker books in PDF or Epub format are now free for download.

Amarynth
Thanks so much Amarynth. Good on you (an Australianism). Best wishes.
“In this book we look back at events such as the Tulsi Gabbard phenomenon (here today, gone tomorrow) …”.
Well, when Tulsi appeared, I pointed out that she was a major in the US military and that her name was on the Roster of the Council on Foreign relations, and we all know who created that. People refused to accept these two points, which should have been eye openers, preferring to believe that she really meant what she said. And, the inevitable happens. She pulls out of the Presidential race, backing Creepy Joe Biden. What a big surprise. Where is she now ? Nowhere to be seen. She was obviously given a disposable, once in a lifetime role.
Don’t steal the hope………………..lol…………….you nailed it.
She recently voted agains the NDAA, but still remains unable to walk on water.
Let me add the complete b>Table of Contents here … before people get stuck on Gabbard :-)
My husband took another look at the book and his comment from an engineering type soul was: “What a hell-of-a slice of life you guys put together here! And how very skilled is the Saker to pull out these events that describe that slice of life.”
