Brilliant! How large is the viewership of the channel that carried this in Germany? If it was only on a “fringe” channel, then that would be a pity. Why on earth can’t RT Times and other Russian channels carry such stuff? If they are lacking creative juices for now, why can’t they at least borrow such programs, dub them in Russian, and put them on for Russian audiences? — BTW
It is the second german television channel, very big, one of the state owned channels. Yesterday they brought a documentary about Gladio featuring Daniele Ganser on Phoenix, the documentary channel by ARD and ZDF the public broadcasting corporations. Some people are working hard behind the scenes.
Humor/satire is the best weapon against the empire. Die Anstalt in Germany is an excellent example. Since we are talking about jokes:

Obama died. After the first year he gets bored (no golf, no basketball and no Martha’s Vineyard), and asks God to let him visit the land to find out how his country is faring. GOD releases him.
Obama comes to a New York bar, orders a beer and asks the bartender how the country is faring and whether it has problems. Bartender gets surprised:
– What problems? We are a great Empire, everything belongs to us. Obama: To us? How about Iraq, Afghanistan? Bartender: That is all ours! Obama – And Europe, Africa? The bartender pulls a globe from under the counter and proudly spins it: – I’m telling you – we are the EMPIRE, the whole world belongs to us! Obama joyful, proud and pleased finishes his beer and says: – Well, thank you friend! How much?
The name “Die Anstalt” translates to “the asylum” which is a pun because in German “broadcasting company” means “Fernsehanstalt”. It is an old word though. I saw it live and was amazed again by their performance, spot on as always. They tried to censor them because they showed how much the journalists are connected to Big Money.
@BTW 2.15 mio viewers against hard competition on the first channel (football Bundesliga). This was really a highlight, but the rest (another 30min) wasn’t bad either. Very good translation by the way, just the “Dolchstoß” was missed, but that’s another story… But this is really the only figleaf on state-television. And how sad, a satirical program brings the news and the news make satire.
Germany is such a hard read for me (an American). Reading either translated German mainstream media or American re-reporting of German reporting honestly makes me wonder if the German people actually have *any* idea what’s really going on at times.
It’s comforting to be reminded that there are, of course, plenty of thinking people there that understand perfectly well what is going on and what their mainstream media is doing.
Then I just came to a horrible realization. If the rest of the world is likewise looking at the U.S. through the lens of *our* mainstream media, they must think us among the stupidest of lower life forms on the planet. I can only hope that some of our “Die Anstalt”s leak out as well.
“But we are fighting for the freedom of expression-“
“Yes, in Russia, not here!”
Ff-ing brilliant! And what a f***** up mess western MSM has turned out to be.
If, after watching this summary of western bull biscuits, anyone still expects western MSM to be trusted, I’m afraid I have to conclude Einstein was right.
Well. 2.15 mill viewers, second-major state channel …. excellent exposure. More important, it shows that mainstream is being forced to go alternate! — BTW
The onion is a great newspaper and many a times I thought their reporting was fantastic and how it got through the censors. Then Iran’s Press TV started reprinting their stuff as real news..
“Die Anstalt” is the best German satire show on TV. There were also other good shows but most of them had again and again Russia and Putin-bashing in the program in recent months. Because this is after all easy, main thing is that the audience laughs.
See this link. There is this video with Russian subtitles:
“It is the first time since the beginning of the Ukraine crisis and the introduction of EU sanctions that an MEP at the Russian border has been rejected. Russian authorities refused entry at the airport Moskau Scheremetjewo the Chairman of the Green Group in the European Parliament, Rebecca Harms. To the ground, they said Harms was an unwanted person in Russia.
The Green politician was flown to Moscow to participate as an observer of a process against a Ukrainian pilot (Nadezhda Savchenko), against whom the Russian authorities investigate for the murder of Moscow journalists. Despite her diplomatic passport, Harms was not allowed on Russian soil according to her spokeswoman. After three hours Harms was declared their entry would be a criminal act. The authorities would have prompted her to take the next plane back to Brussels.
Background is probably Harms support for the Ukrainian Maidan movement. The Green politician haf early engaged for reforms in the Ukraine and also criticized Russia’s role. According to Harms spokeswoman said the Foreign Ministry in Moscow that the Russian Government reserves sanctions against individual MEPs. These included also travel restrictions.
After the introduction of sanctions against Russians by the European Union, there had been again and again rumors of a so-called black list, to exist in Russia. It was said, who stand out, this will realize already, if he wants to enter Russia.”
This woman is one of the worst and most fanatical Russia-and-Putin-haters among the German politicians. She fully supports Ukraine’s “Government” and collects also donations for the lawyers of Savchenko. Several months ago she led the attempt to prohibit the ex-Chancellor Gerhard Schröder to comment positively on Russia or Putin. Bravo, Russia!
Don’t get to high on this. Those satiric shows are made only to evacuate the overpressure of the intellectuals and give an impression of freedom of speech so that they don’t start any concrete actions. The vast majority “know” that “Russia is the aggressor”…
@ Anonymous / Waly (26 September, 2014 08:46) As Radio Jerivan used to say: “In principle you are right.” It is indeed about evacuating the overpressure. BUT: not of the intellectuals. Most of the intellectuals that I know in Germany are very anti-Russian. But I just come back from doing my shopping in one of the poor neighbourhoods of one of the big German cities: Cheap prices, bad stuff, no service, long queues at the check-out, overall depressed mood. But not today. Somebody in the queue remarked to his friend: “Did you see “die Anstalt” about the media on Ukraine?” and the mood got absolutely thrilled and delighted. Everybody had seen it, if not in TV (because of soccer-Bundesliga on the other channel) then on You tube, most several times, and some began to act out the bits they liked best, with huge applause from the less talented of the crowd. Yes, there obviously was a lot of overpressure, and release of same. But in the lower strata of the population. OK, this is just a snapshot, and not statistical relevant. But it is an impression I already have had before.
Anonymous 08:49 The vast majority “know” that “Russia is the aggressor”
The majority is reluctant to swallow that message. That’s why ARD/ZDF etc. try to hammer it into people’s brains 24/7. Meanwhile the circulation of major newspapers plummet. Mass layoffs at FAZ. This is the time when their credibility irretrievably ends. Serves them right!
Paveway Mk IV: …If the rest of the world is likewise looking at the U.S. through the lens of *our* mainstream media, they must think us among the stupidest of lower life forms on the planet. I can only hope that some of our “Die Anstalt”s leak out as well….
The thing is, the rest of the world only in small part perceives the US through the lens of their domestic media. A very large part of their perception comes forcibly and unambiguously through the worldwide realisation of their manifest destiny, through unashamed propaganda and concrete deeds – pivots, theatres of war (what a vile misappropriation of a metaphor), africoms and other coms, arms smuggling, in-your-face warfare, culrural “globalisation”, secretive TTIPs TPPs, Naftas,Taftas, etc. and so it goes on and on and on ad nauseum.
If the USA were not a democracy (such as it is), there would be a lot more sympathy around the world for the US people a.o.t. their governing class, and willingness to make that distinction.
Very good. Re comments that “Germans have no sense of humor.” Of course the Germans are known for their brilliant satirical bent. Bertolt Brecht, anyone? BTW, no subtitles on my screen. But my German is good enough for me to get most of it.
Katherine PS Found it online with subtitles also here:
” The obvious common thread is this: empiricism is dying in our world. It is being replaced by provably daft religious ideas, even dafter interpretations of Mammon, and blatant manipulation of facts as and when necessary. As a result of this confluence of Fitting Facts with Blind Belief, our world is turning into a series of arrogant and intolerant demands upon the rest of us. And today specifically, it will (I suspect) produce an overwhelming majority amongst MPs for the approval of military action in Iraq.
It tries to demonise Viktor Orban because he is anti-EU, Alexis Tsipras because he refuses to see why Greek citizens should pay for the largesse of Trichet and Wall St, bloggers who point out the instability of French banks, Spanish demonstrators who wish to show their anger in public, and Russian-Ukraine separatists who suddenly found the EU trying to wrest them away from the Moscow orbit.
The two F-words: fascism and fanaticism. They’re in the ascendancy, and it can only end in tears. “
ɓʁuçɚ @ 10:20 Yes, you’re absolutely right. We are quite infested with psychopaths here. I don’t know how the problem ever got so bad.
At this point, ‘voting’ and ‘the law’ are utterly useless in the United States. They have been terminally corrupted to serve the clans of oligarchs and are little more than theatre. There is no functional democracy in the U.S. for us little people.
Most of us are at a complete loss of what to do to solve the problem, but it is certainly ours to solve. Woodchippers are about the only solution that comes to mind, but one always hopes that it never get to that point.
Regarding the coverage of this satiric show: 2.15 million live viewers, some 100.000 Youtube viewers, and the third most viewed of ZDF’s archived shows (do be found in “ZDF Mediathek”). Obviously there was a certain backlog demand in Germany …
There is an idiot understanding in non-Anglo-Saxon nations that satire and humour ‘hurt’ the people in power. Indeed, History is replete with examples of tin-pot dictators and mentally ill despots taking revenge of those that have mocked them. But…
We live in the Modern Age. The Empire of the West is backed by the brightest minds in Empire History. And hundreds of years ago people realised the true meaning of:
“sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”
Namely NOT that words aren’t powerful (words have started revolutions and brought the most powerful to their knees) but words can be manipulated in the most devastating psychological way.
Britain and the USA not only had satirical humour thrown at the sheeple, but the most powerful Elites encouraged satirical humour and actually crafted laws to make it plain to everyone that satirical attacks against the ‘powerful’ were PROTECTED SPEECH. Why?
The sheeple sometimes get angry, and their anger is like a balloon inflating. Having the sheeple laugh at their ‘betters’ safely deflates this anger, ensuring that ‘revolutionary’ thoughts are nicely dissipated.
There is good reason few of you here have ever heard of Edward Bernays. You think you can understand events from a simple observation of ‘facts’, but nothing is further from the truth. Most of you here talk about the ‘trees’, and never come close to perceiving the ‘forest’.
Dubious people will constantly suggest that funny pictures and cutting words are successfully fighting our battle, when in reality the very opposite is true.
Realism and an adherence to the facts that matter are the only mental strategies that can aid us.
Our side has won (at great cost) extraordinary battles in Novorussia, but all this is about to become nought. Without actual independence, Kiev has the absolute right, under International Law, to place federal forces throughout Novorussia- and no ‘treaty’ or agreement of ‘devolved’ powers can halt this. A little patience, and Kiev can ensure a uniformed infrastructure in Novorussia that no possible form of new revolt can hope to dislodge.
It gets worse. Kiev can, under international law, seek any amount of external military assistance to help fight internal enemies. No ‘treaty’ can prevent this either.
Those telling you to laugh along with useless, pointless ‘satirical’ TV shows are hoping you won’t notice the real facts on the ground.
PS Margaret Thatcher ‘suffered’ years of the most biting TV satire, “Spitting Image”. This ‘hurt’ her so ‘badly’, she was able to give the world her anointed ‘son’, Tony Blair.
Those talking about Novorussia, but NOT demanding independence now our not on our side.
Very sophisticated and appropriately low brow at the same time (in honor of the low IQ targets of the piece).
Just read this at Slavyangrad.Org: “On the eve of the decisive battle for Donbass – by Denis Seleznev”
Very thorough and interesting. I’m amazed at the stupidity of the Kievi regime if this report is accurate and they plan another attack on the resistance forces. As the article makes clear, the weakened supplies and personnel of the junta guarantee a defeat. The other possibility, maybe likelihood, is a complete and utter rout; the type that might crater the government and entirety of what’s left of Ukraine.
Is it conceivable that Kiev has this in the works?
In Syria Assad should be given missiles to bomb Isis and the Amerikan in IRAQ . At the moment he is in a very desperate situation . Only this way a balance will be achieved . The west should not be allowed to win in Syria . Anti EU
@Old Ez:Saker: PCR used your term “Atlantic Integrationists” in his latest article. To my knowledge, you coined this term, is that correct? PCR should have credited you if so.
I did coin this term, but like everything else I write, it is public domain and I neither want nor need any credit for it. This is also why I am anonymous, so that the ONLY important thins are the issues, the truth, no who said it or who said it first. I am delighted that PRC used this term and he is welcome to use anything else I wrote, as is anybody else, and no credit is must be given to anybody but God.
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake
Yes that skit is brilliant, but I watched the whole show of that day and it was a bit of a disappointment. There was some good puns and stuff but also a lot of political correct shit like Hamas is of course bad because antisemitic, Iran is ruled by islamists etc. It is clear that Israel and Zionism is the big no-no they will not approach.
Re: Anonymous 08:4926 , September, 2014 09:59 “Meanwhile the circulation of major newspapers plummet. Mass layoffs at FAZ. This is the time when their credibility irretrievably ends. Serves them right!”
I really don’t know how they will get out of that hole when in some hopefully not too distant future the truth comes out. They not only have layoffs but due to the fact that they shot down their documentary section they also loose online readers – that is they loose “clicks” they need for advertizing.
And not only the newspaper plummet, also the German state channel ARD got a ruffle, which, of course didn’t make it to the newspapers.
“The program committee of the ARD criticized at its meeting in June 2014 the reporting of the largest public media authority over the Ukraine conflict. The broadcast contents would partially “awaken the impression of bias” and to be directed “towards Russia and the Russian positions”, it says in the summary from the protocol (PDF) of the nine-member committee ….. Important and essential aspects of the conflict are “not or only insufficiently illuminated” by the ARD editors ….. ” (Google translate)
For me, the Anstalt is simply a must. My husband and I never miss it.
BTW, in April the ZDF got into trouble because the “Anstalt” exposed the “Transatlatisches Netzwerk” of the journalist Josef Joffe from “Die Zeit”. After a court rouling, it had to be taken removed from you tube.
The best sentence was “Alles, was Josef Joffe dazu bringt, auf seinen Laptop zu kotzen, da bin ich dabei!“ (With anything that causes Josef Joffe to puke on his laptop, count me in!)
Oh they know who you are… After 10 years they also know who I am and let me know they know. So I highly doubt anyone can truly remain anonymous in this day and age. What was even more surprising was they also know where I am.. So I dont go to any classes or attend wedding parties.
Will Russia and China Hold Their Fire Until War Is the Only Alternative?
Paul Craig Roberts
Obama’s September 24 speech at the UN is the most absurd thing I have heard in my entire life. It is absolutely amazing that the president of the United States would stand before the entire world and tell what everyone knows are blatant lies while simultaneously demonstrating Washington’s double standards and belief that Washington alone, because the US is exceptional and indispensable, has the right to violate all law.
It is even more amazing that every person present did not get up and walk out of the assembly.
The diplomats of the world actually sat there and listened to blatant lies from the world’s worst terrorist. They even clapped their approval.
The rest of the speech was just utter bullshit: “We stand at a crossroads,” “signposts of progress,” “reduced chance of war between major powers,” “hundreds of millions lifted from poverty,” and while ebola ravages Africa “we’ve learned how to cure disease and harness the power of the wind and the sun.” We are now God. “We” is comprised of the “exceptional people”–Americans. No one else counts. “We” are it.
It is impossible to pick the most absurd statement in Obama’s speech or the most outrageous lie. Is it this one? “Russian aggression in Europe recalls the days when large nations trampled small ones in pursuit of territorial ambition.”
Or is it this one? “After the people of Ukraine mobilized popular protests and calls for reform, their corrupt president fled. Against the will of the government in Kiev, Crimea was annexed. Russia poured arms into eastern Ukraine, fueling violent separatists and a conflict that has killed thousands. When a civilian airliner was shot down from areas that these proxies controlled, they refused to allow access to the crash for days. When Ukraine started to reassert control over its territory, Russia gave up the pretense of merely supporting the separatists, and moved troops across the border.”
Key Points MPs approve UK military intervention in Iraq against Islamic State (IS) by 524 to 43 votes David Cameron told the Commons that IS poses a threat to the “streets of Britain” and the UK has a “duty” to confront it militarily Motion states that IS is threat to UK directly, that government of Iraq has requested assistance and that authorisation does not extend to action in Syria
The bit about the reader comments was excellent – very hard to find a western story that allows comments nowadays, whereas before even the Economist was swamped with criticism.
Stuck here in Warsaw I need this to remind me that most of the world are not idiots
“We would like to be able to commiserate with Ukraine’s US-muppet regime, we really would, but when Ukraine’s PM Argeny Yatseniuk, or Yats as he is known to Victoria Nuland, almost cried in an interview with Reuters yesterday when he pleaded that “[Russia] wants us to freeze… This is the aim and this is another trump card in Russian hands…. So, except military offense, except military operation against Ukraine, they have another trump card, which is energy”. we have just two things to say to him: i) he is absolutely correct, about Russia having the trump card that is – something obvious to everyone with half a brain from the start of the conflict, and ii) perhaps Ukraine should finally pay Gazprom not only for the gas they would like to use in the future, but also the gas they have already used and payment for which is overdue and which the IMF, i.e., the US taxpayer, gave Ukraine explicit money to pay for and instead was embezzled by the people in power.”
(there is more, read the whole piece.) like—-
[.] “Since Kiev’s authorities started turning off communal hot water supplies last month to save natural gas, people with their own boilers have found unwashed friends on the doorstep armed with a towel and a bar of soap.
Yulia Mikulska, an accountant from the Ukrainian capital, had gone weeks without a hot shower before she visited her brother’s summer house, which is fitted with an electric water heater. “

Thank you Saker I know you also have a very good sense of humor which is the best weapon against these idiots who are still think they own the world. Just let them be, one day they are going to be surprised.
This following document is the screening of the geopolitical situation around the world as Saker has described this before a very long time ago. This is mostly for the new bloggers here. It will be posted in two parts If you watched the Webster Tarpley interview a few days ago, this excellent summary of world geopolitics today might be even clearer to you but SCG does a phenomenal job, here:
“…[W]hen you see the mouthpieces of the ruling class begin to demonize a foreign country, the first question in your mind should always be “what is actually at stake here?”
“For some time now Russia, China, Iran, and Syria have been in the cross hairs. Once you understand why, the events unfolding in the world right now will make much more sense.”
9/11 and the seeds of WWIII cannot be fully understood without understanding the yoke of the Petrodollar, which has been placed around the neck of any country that wanted to buy oil, since the 1970s…as SCG says here, with the establishment of the Petrodollar, “…the dollar went from being a gold-backed currency to a oil-backed currency. It also became America’s primary export.”
====
“This petrodollar system stood unchallenged until September of 2000 when Saddam Hussein announced his decision to switch Iraq’s oil sales off of the dollar to Euros. This was a direct attack on the dollar, and easily the most important geopolitical event of the year, but only one article in the western media even mentioned it.
“In the same month that Saddam announced he was moving away from the dollar, an organization called the ‘The Project for a New American Century’, of which Dick Cheney just happened to be a member, released a document entitled ‘REBUILDING AMERICA’S DEFENSES Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century’. This document called for massive increases in US military spending and a much more aggressive foreign policy in order to expand US dominance worldwide. However the document lamented that achieving these goals would take many years ‘absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor’.
“One year later they got it.
“Riding the emotional reaction to 9/11, the Bush administration was able to invade Afghanistan and Iraq and pass the Patriot Act, all without any significant resistance.
“There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and this wasn’t a question of ‘bad intelligence’. This was a cold calculated lie, and the decision to invade was made in full knowledge of the disaster which would follow.
sorry it needs to be done in three parts because it is long
“They knew exactly what was going to happen but in 2003, they did it anyway. Once Iraqi oil fields were under US control, oil sales were immediately switched back to the dollar. Mission accomplished.
“Soon after the invasion of Iraq, the Bush Administration attempted to extend these wars to Iran. Supposedly the Iranian government was working to build a nuclear weapon…[but] after the Iraq fiasco, Washington’s credibility was severely damaged. As a result, they were unable to muster international or domestic support for an intervention…However, the demonization campaign against Iran continued even into the Obama administration.
“Why?
“Well, might it have something to do with the fact that since 2004 Iran has been in the process of organizing an independent oil bourse? They were building their own oil market, and it wasn’t going to be tied to the dollar. The first shipments of oil were sold through this market in July of 2011.
“Unable to get the war that they wanted, the US used the UN to impose sanctions against Iran. The goal of the sanctions was to topple the Iranian regime. While this did inflict damage on the Iranian economy, the measures failed to destabilize the country. This was due in large part to Russia’s assistance in bypassing US banking restrictions.
“In February of 2009 Muammar Gaddafi, was named chairman of the African Union. He immediately proposed the formation of a unified state with a single currency. It was the nature of that proposed currency that got him killed.
“In March of 2009 the African Union released a document entitled ‘Towards a Single African Currency’. Pages 106 and 107 of that document specifically discuss the benefits and technicalities of running the African Central bank under a gold standard. On page 94, it explicitly states that the key to the success of the African Monetary Union would be the ‘eventual linking of a single African currency to the most monetary of all commodities – gold.’
“In 2011, the CIA moved into Libya and began backing militant groups in their campaign to topple Gaddafi and the US and NATO pushed through and stretched a UN no-fly-zone resolution to tip the balance with airstrikes. The presence of Al-Qaeda extremists among these rebel fighters was swept under the rug.
“Libya, like Iran and Iraq had committed the unforgivable crime of challenging the US dollar.
“The NATO intervention in Libya segued into a covert war on Syria. The armories of the Libyan government were looted and the weapons were shipped via Turkey to Syrian rebel groups working to topple Assad.
“It was already clear, at this point that many of these fighters had ties to terrorist organizations. However, the US national security apparatus viewed this as a necessary evil. In fact the Council on Foreign relations published an article in 2012 stating that ‘The influx of jihadis brings discipline, religious fervor, battle experience from Iraq, funding from Sunni sympathizers in the Gulf, and most importantly, deadly results. In short, the FSA needs al-Qaeda now.’…
“Let’s be clear here, the US put ISIS in power.
“In 2013, these same Al-Qaeda-linked Syrian rebels launched two sarin gas attacks. This was an attempt to frame Assad and muster international support for military intervention. Fortunately, they were exposed by UN and Russian investigators and the push for airstrikes completely fell apart when Russia stepped in to broker a diplomatic solution.
“The campaign for regime change in Syria, as in Libya has been presented in terms of human rights. Obviously, this isn’t the real motive.
“In 2009, Qatar put forth a proposal to run a natural gas pipeline through Syria and Turkey to Europe. Assad however rejected this, and in 2011 he forged a pact with Iraq and Iran to run a pipeline eastward cutting Qatar and Saudi Arabia out of the loop completely.
“Not surprisingly Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have been the most aggressive regional players in the push to topple the Syrian government.
“But why would this pipeline dispute put Syria in Washington’s cross hairs? Three reasons:
1. This pipeline arrangement would significantly strengthen Iran’s position, allowing them to export to European markets without having to pass through any of Washington’s allies. This obviously reduces the US government’s leverage.
2. Syria is Iran’s closest ally. It’s collapse would inherently weaken Iran.
3. Syria and Iran have a mutual defense agreement, and a US intervention in Syria could open the door to open conflict with Iran.
“In February of 2014 this global chess game heated up in a new venue: Ukraine. The real target, however was Russia.
“You see, Russia just happens to be the world’s second largest oil exporter, and not only have they been a thorn in Washington’s side diplomatically, but they also opened an energy bourse in 2008, with sales denominated in Rubles and gold. This project had been in the works since 2006. They have also been working with China to pull off of the dollar in all of their bilateral trade.
“Russia has also been in the process of organizing a Eurasian Economic Union which includes plans to adopt common currency unit, and which is slated to have its own independent energy market.
“This new anti-dollar axis goes deeper than economics. These countries understand what’s at stake here. This is why in the wake of the Ukrainian crisis, China has proposed a new Eurasian security pact which would include Russia and Iran.
“Consider the implications, here as the Obama Administration begins bombing in Syria, which also has a mutual defense agreement with Iran.
“This is not the cold war 2.0. This is World War 3.0. The masses may not have figured it out yet, but history will remember it that way.
“Alliances are already solidifying and and a hot war is underway on multiple fronts. If the provocations and proxy wars continue, it’s only a matter of time before the big players confront each other directly, and that is a recipe for disaster.
“Does all of this sound insane to you? Well, you’re right. The people running the world right now are insane, and the public is sleep-walking into a tragedy.
“If you want to alter the course that we are on, there’s only one way to do it. We have to wake up that public. Even the most powerful weapons of war are neutralized if you reach the mind of the man behind the trigger.
“This program from “Die Anstalt” show is funny. Part of this program has been shown right now by Russian TV evening news with Russian translation. I am glad to know that some Germans do not trust stupid propaganda and laugh at technologies of fake news production.”

Jeez, how was that “fact” re Bernays established, forget the putative “reason” (which remains a secret)? Actually, Bernays’s name comes up fairly often on this blog. It never fails to get my goat when people make such empty, self-serving assumptions about others. Does Anon have special “forest” glasses . . . Moscow had warned EU members on reverse flow of gas to Ukraine that any such move was in violation of their supply contract…and that their own supplies would be placed in jeopardy.
Ukraine will pay Gazprom $2 billion for gas it has received from Russia by the end of October and an additional $1.1 billion by year’s end, EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger announced.
The amount that Ukraine is expected to pay Russia is short of the $5.3 billion that Kiev currently owes Gazprom.
Gazprom will resume gas deliveries and send at least 5 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas to Ukraine at a price of $385 per 1,000 cubic meters after it receives the first tranche of $2 billion, the EU commissioner and Russia’s Energy Minister Alexandre Novak said.[.]
and the clincher:
“The EU and the World Bank could act as guarantors of Ukraine’s debt payment, Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak said.”
here you can learn something from the west! because their political system till today is so stabile, they can allow something like the Anstalt to be broadcasted once in a while. it will make no real difference and it look SO GOOD. It tells everybody: look: we have freedom of expression, Russia does not.
Way to learn from the West and its tricks!
Ps.. and IF something would make a difference in the West – it would be forbidden- but it still looks so much better then what RU is doing right now. That includes the stupid handling of the gay issue by russia. Yesterday the report on RT about a court decision in Russia and the flood of hate comments send ripples through Germany’s huge gay community. Not smart at all Russia!
Timmermans proudly announces on his facebook that he’s just been to Soros for a very inspiring visit:
“Frans Timmermans 6 hours ago Op bezoek geweest bij George Soros om de praten over de ontwikkeling van de rechtsstaat en de fundamentele rechten in Europa. Met zijn stichtingen heeft Soros de afgelopen 25 jaar op fantastische wijze bijgedragen aan positieve maatschappelijke transformatie in de landen die zich na de val van de Muur moesten ontworstelen aan achterstand en dictatuur.”
“Meanwhile the circulation of major newspapers plummet.”
That is what happened in Sweden in the middle of the 1990-ties. All the papers wrote the same things. There were no more debates, so why buy more than one paper? A popular and satirical TV program was closed down. Of course it was, the politicians hated it. For the first time, I realized my country had become a colony as it became a member of the EU. Later, we got to know the government had hired its best critics as “consultants”. Mona Sahlin, an important socialdemocratic politician, listened to her American advisors and followed their advice. The former critics voted with their wallets and stopped biting the hand that fed them. Two excellent internationally known researchers warned about the dangers of cell phones and were soon also hired by the government and never heard from again. The best critics that money can buy.
It is not generally known a similar thing happened in Germany after 1933. The Germans noticed the change and punished the papers. Europeans and Americans need to see the seriousness of the media situation, now that we are where the Germans were some 80 years ago.The elite controls almost all information and what is not reported never happened. Providence has given us the net, it is not enough, but we should be thankful. This blog is an important safety valve.
I like Die Anstalt. Humor is a weapon and can make people more aware. If the program had been aired in the Sovjetunion, I would have been more suspicious. According to a rumor, the many funny anecdotes about Sovjet politicians were manufactured by a special department of the KGB to make people laugh instead of thinking out loud. I heard many anecdotes, but have forgotten all of them. It would be great if someone can remind me!
Those, who don’t seem to understand the dangers Russia faces, should read this article. Itar-Tass often says “everything is ok”, but not this time. True evaluations of the dangers are rare. The sanctions are deadly. Russia needs years to recover.
“In 2014, the global oligarchate made Russia the target of its efforts to ensure stability of the global dominance system and, in the first place, the depleting world resources,” Yakunin said. “It’s the third time over a hundred years that Russia comes face to face with a danger of a momentary loss of its sovereignty.”
“In other words, they are viewing Russia’s public sovereignty in their sights now,” Yakunin said.
The following is rooted in curiosity and in no way meant to be insulting.
Any chance your country will grow a backbone and stop being a US colony and a Apartheid State’s doormat [aka be truly free]?
Will Germany ever be guilt-free?
Your flag is still upside down and your laws prohibit certain questions being asked. When will your country get rid of those immoral [most likely imposed] shackles?
Nevertheless, I’m very much impressed this program was;
– made – shown – not censored – spot on – a breath of fresh air
Germany seems to be Europe’s engine. Will you ever take it for a free spin?
Given all the garbage we have to wade through every single day, please be proud your country has produced this little gem of truth [regardless of its satirical nature. We have Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz to do the same thing].
Paveway Mk IV: …There is no functional democracy in the U.S. for us little people. Most of us are at a complete loss of what to do to solve the problem, but it is certainly ours to solve…
One of the ways is for all of us “little people” along the entire “left” to “right” political spectrum to forge strategic alliances and work together for common cause in as much of a “united front” as we can muster, in order to achieve these more urgent and fundamental things than normally occupy us. To do this we need discipline and clarity of vision, to question and transcend our own attitudes and assumptions and traditional points of departure; we need to educate and organise; and we need to develop strategies of resistance and flexibility against inevitable counteraction by the power elites at the least sign of unity in intent or action, to prevent or fragment it.
They of course have tools of control for this purpose, from using their media to slander this or that leader or grouping or to keep the various groupings distracted with the minutiae of life, to brute force (surveillance, bannings, detention without trial, homeland security, etc.) to using more cunning methods against signs or unity, aimed at engendering mutual suspicion or inflaming division (entryism, gossip, agents provocateurs, false flag incidents, etc.).
Still, this sort of broad-based, bury-your-hatchet alliance seems like an essential pillar in the struggle, if we’re to stand any chance of breaking the chains.
Amongst a lot of the huffing and puffing, you can already sense glimmerings of this actually taking place here and there in the world (left and right reaching across the divide).
The term Euro-Atlantic Integrationist was in use by the US State Department at least by 2006. Other people used the term in academic literature. Shortening to Atlantic Integrationist and balancing it against Eurasian Sovereignist seems to be of Saker origin. Interestingly, the term arose to define the parties in Ukraine. Here is the wikileaks cable from the US Embassy in Kiev assessing the political scene in Ukraine in 2006.
Anonymous 1634, the WSWS has had numerous excellent articles on the fascist warmongers infesting the German MSM, and the odious Joffe gets numerous mentions.
Gallier, in the West, Israel, the Jews and Zionism are the new Immaculate Conception. They are Infallible, Israel a perfect state besieged by ‘savages’, its ‘soldiers’ crying onto the consoles as they direct another Hellfire missile into a hospital in Gaza. And Jews are the only group on Earth amongst whose population exist none capable or guilty of any crime or error, whatsoever. Criticism of Israel, even during horrors like the Gaza Massacre, is career-ending, in the MSM or politics. It is a remarkable situation, but even more remarkable is the fact that this reality is never dared to be mentioned, and if it ever emerges, is hysterically and belligerently denied.
Paveway Mk IV, the dominance of psychopaths in the West results from the total control of society by the Right, a euphemism for psychopaths, which derives from the total victory of capitalism, and the destruction of socialism and collectivism of any kind. Capitalism operates like cancer to destroy everything it comes across, people or natural resources, and turn them into the dead stuff of capital, which must accumulate forever, if only to pay off debt. Once it stops growing it rapidly implodes, like a hypernova into a black-hole, a fact of gravity that the psychopathic Masters of the Universe are attempting to avert until it disappears over the event horizon of their own deaths, by producing ever more debt, and by increasing and deepening the exploitation of humanity and the living Earth. Russia and China must not be independent, because then they cannot be looted by the ‘Atlanticist’ elite.Capitalism is psychopathy in action, created by psychopaths and ever empowering them.
The Empire of the West is backed by the brightest minds in Empire History.
Those talking about Novorussia, but NOT demanding independence now our not on our side.
Satire is the most powerful weapon we have to break the spell of language as thought control.
It is true that that the Anglo-Zionists have a tradition of tolerating contradictory opinions and it is also true that this reinforces them in certain ways but which “facts” would you have us sticking to?
The last sentence made me think you are a troll but in the event that you are not, empirical tools (relying on reductive “facts”) are a trap while Satire has the power to liberate the minds of even the most closed minded person.
As ever, mixing truth with lies is always the best strategy for winning the day. It is then that you throw in the BIG LIE which is all anyone will ever remember.
The PTB engineered the ‘election’ of (in Mulga Mumblebrain’s words) that “utterly vile specimen” Abbot as Australian PM for one the same reasons they got George W. Bush ‘elected’: Someone in public view every day who is an ongoing insult to the electorate’s intelligence. Only problem is that most of the electorate did/does not possess sufficient intelligence to be insulted.
I suppose the dumbing-down of the populace is necessary in any country which is a member of (or lackey of) the AZE, so that the ‘elite’ doesn’t have to put up with any intelligent criticism or (worse) intelligent opposition. Fortunately the average European is far more intelligent than the average Australian or average USA-American, and hopefully before long the European peoples will become so disgusted with their arse-licking political leaders they they won’t bother to wait for the next election but will do what the East Germans did in Leipzig in 1989: hold mass protests of 100,000+ people in the capital once a week until the bastards have no choice but to resign, hounded from office as traitors to their countries.
I have to respectfully disagree with your characterization of capitalism or ‘the right’ as the source of society’s ills, and the current infestation by psychopaths as a consequence of that. But I’ll readily admit I am the worst person to make any kind of coherent argument either way.
Are there no psychopathic liberals? Socialists? How about Vegetarians?
Any social construct anywhwere at any time is susceptible to psychopathy – to evil. Some more than others (although vegans generally seem nice).
Before anyone can convince me to go out and kill hundreds of thousands of people, displace millions and cause untold human suffering IN ORDER TO replace X-ism with Y-ism, you need to convince me that Y-ism evil-proof, or at least fairly resistant to evil.
To do that, you need to convince me you understand the nature of evil. The first guy that ever convinced me he had a good understanding of that was Dr. Andrzej M. Łobaczewski. *IF* you understand the nature of evil and psychopathy, then you will become extremely poor – as I am – at arguing x-ism or y-ism.
The short response to your post would have been to insist that the ‘capitalism’ or ‘right wing’ part isn’t the underlying problem, but that’s both disrespectful and dismissive of your reasonable and passionate opinion.
Something is horribly broken though and we do need to have these arguments. Otherwise, I’ll be forced to resort to the oligarch woodchipper.
“Capitalism operates like cancer to destroy everything it comes across, people or natural resources, and turn them into the dead stuff of capital, which must accumulate forever, if only to pay off debt.”
As Marx and Engles observed: “All that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned, and man is at last compelled to face with sober senses his real conditions of life, and his relations with his kind.”
“Two excellent internationally known researchers warned about the dangers of cell phones”
Can you please say something more about this?”
The two researchers produced alarming reports 15-16 years ago and made an impact. Bill Clinton mentioned them in a speech.
Not only computers and monitors, but also cell phones and towers create electric fields and may cause cancer, that was their conclusion and they could back it up. Note this was said when we still used old and weak cell phones. Todays third and fourth generation systems, which allow you to watch videos on your phone, produce stronger fields. In Sweden in 2004 it was reported a tower typically produced one Watt per square meter and we walk in that field with or without cell phones. Every second. Constantly. We walk in a field that can power LED-lights and it gets worse. The strength of the field multiplies when you make or receive a call. When you use your cell phone in a car, it is more difficult to connect and an even stronger field is created. The phone screams, electronically speaking. Never keep your cell phone close to your genitals or your heart. It is a good idea to turn off the phone when you drive. If possible, don’t give your children cell phones at an early age. It helps to live as far from towers as you can get.
Some people claim to be oversensitive to electricity and the researchers took them seriously. I do, too. The dangers of EM fields were partly covered up in my country, at least, and that is all I need to know.
I am sorry I can’t give you a source, I can only write from memory. I distinctly remember the one Watt figure and that was ten years ago. Before Iphone. What is the situation today? There are well educated people on this blog, among them some engineers, I believe. Perhaps they can teach us more.
Cell phones? Yes they are dangerous but like cars we can not do with them. Bu we can make sure we use them safely.
ALL electro magnetic fields are damaging to living things, we use electricity to control and think and magnets and electricity interfere with those functions.
This includes, TV, Radio, Cell phones, Wifi, laptops, etc.. Like heavy metal poisoning you dont die right away but you do feel its effects. Being more tired, unable to sleep properly, cant wake up alert, weight loss or gain, mind is foggy.
But we live in a technological world so we need to use these dangerous things. Like many cancers are because we use fertilizer that then get into plants and then into us. Polonium is deadly dangerous but that dont stop anyone from not using fertilizer to grow crops. Digging up the ground also sends these into the air which then cause us cancer but we dont stop expansion and building ever more stuff.
Oh Yea living in an oxygen rich environment makes you live longer.. So we should like in a bubble.. One of the main problems is, then the environment becomes explosive and flammable.. In which case you live shorter lives..
But like anything involving money, they try to stop information from getting out so people dont stop using them. Power lines and Cell phone towers are very dangerous. But we need them all over the place. Living near those 300KV lines can make you very sick. So a good idea is not to live close to them or close to army firing ranges..
Lack of sleep seems to really affect my typing skills and seems I misplaced a few words as well….
But if we had Tesla’s technology, we could probably power everything in the house using these electro magnetic waves bouncing around. I seen those LED’s you stick to the back of the phones and the light up when you get or make a call, really cool.. No batteries..
BUT you could also live inside a Faraday cage and that would stop all electromagnetic problems. Some people do……. Especially those of us who are more sensitive to these waves, we need to stay as far away from all forms of radiation. I develop hives.. But where can I live since I would have to live in a forest to get away from these waves. You could also use mesh metal nets to cover things like windows and doors etc and ground it so it absorbs some of these waves. Its like those microwave doors you can see cooking your food. But you watch TV and have cable and Internet and wifi, well thats more difficult.
The FBI stole all of Tesla’s notes so we dont know how to capture this energy and put them to use. He wanted to power everything remotely. Being so smart I doubt he did not know the dangers. So I am thinking he knew of a way to either get rid of the dangerous waves or harness its energy somehow and he was always working with arcing power which he did not seem to be afraid off.. There are meters that can measure power levels, they do cost a bundle and you can place nets in those locations where the power levels are high. Even changing positions of where you sit or sleep makes a huge difference.
The long-term impact for our species is of great concern as there is no evidence our bodies can adapt to these unnatural frequencies.
REMEMBER, IT IS NOT JUST CELL PHONES! BUT ALL ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION!!! Motors, Fans, TV’s, Radio’s, Computers and everything else electrical. We cant live without them but we can learn to use them safer.. Like using your microwave oven without the glass mesh covering on the door would be really bad for your complexion!
“ALL electro magnetic fields are damaging to living things, we use electricity to control and think and magnets and electricity interfere with those functions. “
Thank you for your input. You made me remember an old discussion on the net about the danger of computer processors working at the same frequency as the human mind. Was it the Pentium processor or a successor? Anyway, it was a long time ago….
You are right, we do need our electronic gadgets and there is no going back to my healthy youth environment, but isn’t it possible to device safer communication systems? The money makers don’t care, but we should.
We need more Alien Tech :-) I have some amateur questions. What solutions are there? What about many small towers instead of big ones in central locations? Would that help? Is it not safer to go back to old cell phones? Are satellites the answer? Do more healthy frequencies exist? Should we go back to using pagers and then connect manually at “cell phone stations”? A nuisance, but would it help? Can we exploit the natural magnetic fields instead? A car is like a Faradays cage. Is it better to connect the cell phone to an external antenna? I throw out questions and you don’t need to answer, but perhaps you have some ideas of your own.
Thanks for reminding me of the power lines. Some international electricity cables in the Baltic transport high voltage DC currents with new technology. I was taught high voltage AC minimizes transport losses, so I scratch my head when I hear about DC cables. What is the secret? A new kind of cable? A cable that minimizes transport losses? I can only guess. Better cables could make power lines less dangerous.
If we want a more healthy environment, we need to be aware and make our voices heard. In order to do that, we need honest researchers, inventors and engineers. It is a huge problem that powerful companies and politicians can control research in our age.
Paveway Mk IV, I agree that not all people who call themselves ‘Right’ or ‘conservative’ etc are florid psychopaths, and many so-called ‘Leftists’ are, but I would be surprised to discover that the vast majority of the leading Rightists in politics, MSM and business are not. The symptoms of psychopathy, ie huge egotism, narcissistic self-obsession, unscrupulousness, lack of empathy and human compassion etc, are, I would argue, rampant on that ‘Right’, the Right empowered by capitalism and the global hegemony of the USA. I know Lobaczewski, and I would add Yablonsky’s ‘Robopaths’ and Altemeyer’s work on the ‘authoritarian personality’, that which others have called the ‘potential fascist’. Actually I’m re-reading Fromm’s ‘The Anatomy of Human Destructiveness’ at the moment, to see how well he predicted ‘times to come’ in a repetition of age-old behaviour patterns when certain social structures and historical events act on susceptible individuals. I came to the conclusion that capitalism always devolves into neo-feudalism or fascism, accompanied by intense aggression, years ago, and since the Great Reaction set in after the Chilean putsch and the arrival of Thatcher and Reagan, the progress to global chaos and self-destruction, driven by the ‘Right’ has been inexorable.
The current manifestation of capitalism is undoubtedly an exceptional enabler of psychopaths – we don’t disagree there. Rich, power-seeking psychopaths are just the devil I know.
Any -ism that – instead – encourages or enables poor psychopaths worries me much more.
I refuse to chose one over the other. My answer is: ‘None of the above’.
I want to live in a society that treats psychopathy like a communicable and largely curable disease that it is and recognizes everyone’s susceptibility to it.
Love it thank you.

The bartender pulls a globe from under the counter and proudly spins it:
– I’m telling you – we are the EMPIRE, the whole world belongs to us!
Obama joyful, proud and pleased finishes his beer and says:
– Well, thank you friend! How much?
Bartender: One ruble and twenty kopeks…
The name “Die Anstalt” translates to “the asylum” which is a pun because in German “broadcasting company” means “Fernsehanstalt”. It is an old word though.
I saw it live and was amazed again by their performance, spot on as always. They tried to censor them because they showed how much the journalists are connected to Big Money.
@BTW
2.15 mio viewers against hard competition on the first channel (football Bundesliga).
This was really a highlight, but the rest (another 30min) wasn’t bad either.
Very good translation by the way,
just the “Dolchstoß” was missed,
but that’s another story…
But this is really the only figleaf on state-television.
And how sad, a satirical program brings the news and the news make
satire.
Just Thank you
From Occupied Greece
Very good! I am sure Merkel will watch it: I do not know if today people would elect her again with the same percentage of votes!
Johann and lizard … thanks!

Good news or maybe the reason for the next round of sanctions?
Russia denied entry Harms – http://www.tagesschau.de/ausland/russland-139.html
In the roundabout language of bureaucrats, slavery is now an official policy of the Ukrainian junta

BTW said…
“Well. 2.15 mill viewers, second-major state channel …. excellent exposure. More important, it shows that mainstream is being forced to go alternate”
No, unfortunately. Such programs were much more common on German state channels in the past. “Die Anstalt” is more a remnant of brighter times.
Thanks Saker for posting this…it was absolutely hilarious! Who says “German humor” is an oxymoron?
In Britain we were always told that Ze Germans! had no sense of humour. We knew it was bollocks and this was super shaprt satire at its best.
A real triumph. And true.
This made my morning perfect…It is good that pepople do this kind of humor
Don’t get to high on this. Those satiric shows are made only to evacuate the overpressure of the intellectuals and give an impression of freedom of speech so that they don’t start any concrete actions. The vast majority “know” that “Russia is the aggressor”…
Waly
I’ve informally re-blogged this on EU-the ramshackle empire.
@ Anonymous / Waly (26 September, 2014 08:46)
As Radio Jerivan used to say: “In principle you are right.” It is indeed about evacuating the overpressure.
Anonymous 08:49
The vast majority “know” that “Russia is the aggressor”
Hilarious! Satire is indeed the sharpest weapon against the liars.
Rasmus
Very good.
Re comments that “Germans have no sense of humor.”
Of course the Germans are known for their brilliant satirical bent. Bertolt Brecht, anyone?
BTW, no subtitles on my screen.
But my German is good enough for me to get most of it.

To my knowledge, you coined this term, is that correct? PCR should have credited you if so.
ɓʁuçɚ @ 10:20 Yes, you’re absolutely right.

Cheers :-)

Yes that skit is brilliant, but I watched the whole show of that day and it was a bit of a disappointment. There was some good puns and stuff but also a lot of political correct shit like Hamas is of course bad because antisemitic, Iran is ruled by islamists etc.
It is clear that Israel and Zionism is the big no-no they will not approach.

“Meanwhile the circulation of major newspapers plummet.

Ukraine PM Cries “Russia Wants Us To Freeze” As Locals Prepare For A Long, Cold Winter

It will be posted in two parts
If you watched the Webster Tarpley interview
a few days ago, this excellent summary of
world geopolitics today might be even clearer
to you but SCG does a phenomenal job, here:
“…[W]hen you see the mouthpieces of the
ruling class begin to demonize a foreign
country, the first question in your mind should
always be “what is actually at stake here?”
“For some time now Russia, China, Iran, and
Syria have been in the cross hairs. Once you
understand why, the events unfolding in the
world right now will make much more sense.”
9/11 and the seeds of WWIII cannot be fully
understood without understanding the yoke
of the Petrodollar, which has been placed
around the neck of any country that wanted
to buy oil, since the 1970s…as SCG says here,
with the establishment of the Petrodollar,
“…the dollar went from being a gold-backed
currency to a oil-backed currency. It also
became America’s primary export.”
====
“This petrodollar system stood unchallenged
until September of 2000 when Saddam Hussein
announced his decision to switch Iraq’s oil sales
off of the dollar to Euros. This was a direct attack
on the dollar, and easily the most important
geopolitical event of the year, but only one article
in the western media even mentioned it.
“In the same month that Saddam announced he
was moving away from the dollar, an organization
called the ‘The Project for a New American Century’,
of which Dick Cheney just happened to be a
member, released a document entitled
‘REBUILDING AMERICA’S DEFENSES Strategy,
Forces and Resources For a New Century’. This
document called for massive increases in US
military spending and a much more aggressive
foreign policy in order to expand US dominance
worldwide. However the document lamented that
achieving these goals would take many years
‘absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event –
like a new Pearl Harbor’.
“One year later they got it.
“Riding the emotional reaction to 9/11, the Bush
administration was able to invade Afghanistan
and Iraq and pass the Patriot Act, all without any
significant resistance.
“There were no weapons of mass
destruction in Iraq, and this wasn’t a
question of ‘bad intelligence’. This was a
cold calculated lie, and the decision to
invade was made in full knowledge of
the disaster which would follow.
sorry it needs to be done in three parts because it is long
“They knew exactly what was going to happen
but in 2003, they did it anyway. Once Iraqi oil
fields were under US control, oil sales were
immediately switched back to the dollar. Mission
accomplished.
“Soon after the invasion of Iraq, the Bush
Administration attempted to extend these wars
to Iran. Supposedly the Iranian government was
working to build a nuclear weapon…[but] after
the Iraq fiasco, Washington’s credibility was
severely damaged. As a result, they were unable
to muster international or domestic support for an
intervention…However, the demonization
campaign against Iran continued even into
the Obama administration.
“Why?
“Well, might it have something to do with the
fact that since 2004 Iran has been in the
process of organizing an independent oil
bourse? They were building their own oil market,
and it wasn’t going to be tied to the dollar. The
first shipments of oil were sold through this
market in July of 2011.
“Unable to get the war that they wanted, the US
used the UN to impose sanctions against Iran. The
goal of the sanctions was to topple the Iranian
regime. While this did inflict damage on the Iranian
economy, the measures failed to destabilize the
country. This was due in large part to Russia’s
assistance in bypassing US banking restrictions.
“In February of 2009 Muammar Gaddafi, was
named chairman of the African Union. He
immediately proposed the formation of a
unified state with a single currency. It was
the nature of that proposed currency that got
him killed.
“In March of 2009 the African Union released a
document entitled ‘Towards a Single African
Currency’. Pages 106 and 107 of that document
specifically discuss the benefits and technicalities
of running the African Central bank under a gold
standard. On page 94, it explicitly states that the
key to the success of the African Monetary Union
would be the ‘eventual linking of a single African
currency to the most monetary of all commodities
– gold.’
“In 2011, the CIA moved into Libya and began
backing militant groups in their campaign to
topple Gaddafi and the US and NATO pushed
through and stretched a UN no-fly-zone resolution
to tip the balance with airstrikes. The presence of
Al-Qaeda extremists among these rebel fighters
was swept under the rug.
“Libya, like Iran and Iraq had committed the
unforgivable crime of challenging the US
dollar.
“The NATO intervention in Libya segued into a
covert war on Syria. The armories of the Libyan
government were looted and the weapons were
shipped via Turkey to Syrian rebel groups working
to topple Assad.
“It was already clear, at this point that many of these
fighters had ties to terrorist organizations. However,
the US national security apparatus viewed this as a
necessary evil. In fact the Council on Foreign relations
published an article in 2012 stating that ‘The influx of
jihadis brings discipline, religious fervor, battle
experience from Iraq, funding from Sunni
sympathizers in the Gulf, and most importantly, deadly
results. In short, the FSA needs al-Qaeda now.’…
“Let’s be clear here, the US put ISIS in power.
“In 2013, these same Al-Qaeda-linked Syrian rebels
launched two sarin gas attacks. This was an attempt
to frame Assad and muster international support for
military intervention. Fortunately, they were exposed
by UN and Russian investigators and the push for
airstrikes completely fell apart when Russia stepped
in to broker a diplomatic solution.
“The campaign for regime change in Syria, as
in Libya has been presented in terms of human
rights. Obviously, this isn’t the real motive.
“In 2009, Qatar put forth a proposal to run a natural
gas pipeline through Syria and Turkey to Europe.
Assad however rejected this, and in 2011 he forged
a pact with Iraq and Iran to run a pipeline eastward
cutting Qatar and Saudi Arabia out of the loop
completely.
“Not surprisingly Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey
have been the most aggressive regional players in
the push to topple the Syrian government.
“But why would this pipeline dispute put Syria in
Washington’s cross hairs? Three reasons:
1. This pipeline arrangement would significantly
strengthen Iran’s position, allowing them to export
to European markets without having to pass through
any of Washington’s allies. This obviously reduces
the US government’s leverage.
2. Syria is Iran’s closest ally. It’s collapse would
inherently weaken Iran.
3. Syria and Iran have a mutual defense agreement,
and a US intervention in Syria could open the door to
open conflict with Iran.
“In February of 2014 this global chess game heated
up in a new venue: Ukraine. The real target,
however was Russia.
“You see, Russia just happens to be the world’s
second largest oil exporter, and not only have they
been a thorn in Washington’s side diplomatically, but
they also opened an energy bourse in 2008,
with sales denominated in Rubles and gold.
This project had been in the works since 2006.
They have also been working with China to pull
off of the dollar in all of their bilateral trade.
“Russia has also been in the process of organizing
a Eurasian Economic Union which includes plans to
adopt common currency unit, and which is slated to
have its own independent energy market.
“This new anti-dollar axis goes deeper than economics.
These countries understand what’s at stake here. This
is why in the wake of the Ukrainian crisis, China has
proposed a new Eurasian security pact which would
include Russia and Iran.
“Consider the implications, here as the Obama
Administration begins bombing in Syria, which also
has a mutual defense agreement with Iran.
“This is not the cold war 2.0. This is World
War 3.0. The masses may not have figured it out
yet, but history will remember it that way.
“Alliances are already solidifying and and a
hot war is underway on multiple fronts. If the
provocations and proxy wars continue, it’s only a
matter of time before the big players confront each
other directly, and that is a recipe for disaster.
“Does all of this sound insane to you? Well, you’re
right. The people running the world right now are
insane, and the public is sleep-walking into a
tragedy.
“If you want to alter the course that we are on,
there’s only one way to do it. We have to wake up
that public. Even the most powerful weapons of
war are neutralized if you reach the mind of
the man behind the trigger.
“How do we wake the masses you ask? Don’t wait
for someone else to answer that for you. Get
creative. Act like you children’s and grandchildren’s
futures depend on it, because they do.”

Update: on Ukraine Gas situ.
Moscow had warned EU members on reverse flow of gas to Ukraine that any such move was in violation of their supply contract…and that their own supplies would be placed in jeopardy.
Today’s talks in Berlin:
Ukraine has offered to pay $3.1 billion to Gazprom by the end of 2014
Ukraine will pay Gazprom $2 billion for gas it has received from Russia by the end of October and an additional $1.1 billion by year’s end, EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger announced.

Good there is a potential guarantee for payment.

Hungary suspends gas supplies to Ukraine
Image Caption: Ukraine relies on gas imports from western Europe but storage is low ahead of the winter season.
Hungary’s gas pipeline operator, FGSZ, says it has suspended delivery of gas to neighbouring Ukraine “indefinitely”.
Ukraine has been receiving gas from Hungary, Poland and Slovakia since Russia cut off supplies to Ukraine in June in a dispute over unpaid bills.
Ukrainian state gas firm Naftogaz confirmed the stoppage, saying it was “unexpected and unexplained”.

“In other words, they are viewing Russia’s public sovereignty in their sights now,” Yakunin said.
@ Angelika,
The following is rooted in curiosity and in no way meant to be insulting.
Nevertheless, I’m very much impressed this program was;
– made
– shown
– not censored
– spot on
– a breath of fresh air

I’ll go away again, I promise. My German’s not great but I followed most of the piece.

There is an idiot understanding…

As Marx and Engles observed:
“All that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned, and man is at last compelled to face with sober senses his real conditions of life, and his relations with his kind.”

Alien Tech and Midnight Sun: thank you for such a discussion and answers to my question.
