By Ken Leslie for The Saker Blog
Dear reader, this time I shall not test your patience by producing another behemoth. Rather, I would like briefly to summarise and extend the lessons of my previous article as well as discuss some of the reaction to it.
First, let me thank Saker again for giving me a platform and Vladimir, Epithet, Djole, Marko, Katerina and many other comrades who were not cowed by the din of disapproving voices. But thank you also to the disapproving voices!
The first thing I noticed was the offended-disappointed tenor of some comments. It goes something like this: Yes, this is an interesting article, but why did you have to poke the hornet’s nest? It is not doing anybody any favours and will only bring harm to your tribe. This is the tone of a slightly annoyed Southern town Sheriff (let’s call him J. W. Pepper) circa 1962 when he realises that those uppity (SELF-CENSORED) have decided to protest the burning of their churches and lynching of their young. “I’m a reasonable God-fearing man and I am keeping my cool, but if you… persist in causing trouble, I’ma call Billy Bob and his boys…”. Unlike J. W. who is uneducated and a bit clumsy, the defenders of the Holy Empire are often sophisticated and subtle. Like J. W., they can rely on assassination squads made up of primitive and bloodthirsty Slav rednecks to enforce their dictate and fight the schizmatics.
But it’s that tone… It was in the 1990s that the notorious hangout for the British intelligence, Dominic Lawson, wrote in the Telegraph riled by threats by some anonymous Serb who in turn had been aggrieved by Lawson’s open support for the Croatian and Moslem Nazis (despite the fact that he was Jewish). One phrase: “but we know where you live” stayed with me. It is a kind of mental “we know where you live” that permeates this thread. Instead of embracing the idea and discussing it openly, the sleepers of the Empire react with fear and anger. As I said elsewhere, this topic is like ultraviolet light—it rouses vampires from their holes and fills them with ire. At this stage, the ire is still controllable. Unable to offer a coherent response, they indulge in whataboutery (although I hate having to use that excuse for drowning out justified criticism), petty insults, appeals to one’s “humanity”, shooting the messenger and other techniques of stifling dissent and promoting a racist, supremacist agenda of their masters.
Look, you are full of passion when discussing the plight of the Palestinians or Yemenis or Iraqis. And I support you 100%. But you are completely and shamefully silent when discussing a much larger and more pernicious holocide which happened in the middle of Europe more than a thousand years ago and is ongoing as we speak. There can be no excuse for that, full stop. Your silence is even more surprising given that the victims are completely white and represent the “flower” of Aryanism. But here, I am exposing your irredeemable fascist and racist leanings and you like that even less. For the Slavs are white and clearly Aryan yet are the greatest enemy of Catholic fascism and Nazi racism (at least most are).[1] This causes cognitive dissonance and you withdraw sulking to a debate about whether Trump is good for Russia and other nonsense. For you, it is not about the truth but about comfort, cosiness (Gemütlichkeit) and cheap self-validation—the sense that your ego is fed and massaged by others like yourself without having to do any hard work or take any risks.
If you are one of the fake leftists infecting the cyberspace these days, ponder the only group of people today that is allowed to be thought of as subhuman, oppressed and discriminated against, openly in front of your cold merciless eyes. Hundreds of thousands have been killed and similar numbers expelled from their homes by the Vatican’s Nazi legions in the last 30 years—this time with the full support of the American Jews and their useful idiots. You are no more of the left than I am Kenny G (thank God).
You like to think of yourself as standing on the vanguard of the anti-imperial struggle but are struggling with your own sense of guilt—and this mutates into raging hatred as soon as your amour propre (sigh) is challenged. You are not righteous just because you’re Irish or Moslem or Slav—there is much more to it. Learn from true freedom fighters or exceptional scholars and spiritual leaders such as Sheikh Imran Hosein.
I’ve noticed something else. The ultimate hypocrisy as always lies with the Catholics. They are the ones playing fervent nationalists (the Poles, Croats and Irish for example) ready to die for their fatherland and religion. And yet, they are slaves to the most openly globalist, internationalist imperialist dogma of all time—Roman Catholicism. Vatican’s political Catholicism is the ultimate source of fifth-columnism and it needs to be rendered harmless if not completely impotent before the Slavs can prosper. This doesn’t mean that we unconditionally support Jewish grievances against the Catholics. All we are asking is: “But is it good for the Slavs?”
Attacks on me are understandable and even welcome—for if everyone agreed (as they often do in many other articles), I wouldn’t be saying much, would I? At first, attacks are unpleasant and can deter a less than sturdy soul. But after a while, they become a sort of a compass—the louder they are, the closer one is to some uncomfortable truth. Of course, this is only a rough guide.
The paradox lies in the juxtaposition of the hundreds of semi-nonsensical conspiracies (e.g. COVID) which are debated passionately by millions of people and a simple and painful truth that causes even the staunchest “anti-imperialist” to go shtum in a nanosecond and run away. Their silence (or anger) tells me better than any words that I am on the right track.
I was also surprised by a lack of response from people who I would expect to be interested. But then, I understand—many are fed up and disgusted by another possible “false spring”—it could simply be the British preparing another “Slav federation of the unwilling”. For those who abhor the idea as the main threat to their Weltanschauung (here I go again)—various Catholicised and Germanised Slavs—again, I understand. The conditioning will not disappear overnight. Until it does, let me briefly sketch out a few start-up suggestions.
First, any attempts at a revival of the Slav idea will be immediately attacked and threatened by the sophisticated information and intelligence warfare capabilities of the West.[2] This is why the movement if any must grow slowly from a few seeds. People think that successful movements must be lavishly funded. Perhaps, but I don’t think so. What really needs to happen is for a few people of pure heart and sound mind to get in touch and form small, local cells involved in research and discussion of political, historical and cultural ties between Slavs and how these ties could be restored and strengthened. If there is true interest, eventually those cells will connect with each other to form larger bodies capable of attracting funds. There can be no brotherhood by ukase—bottom up all the way or not at all.
Regarding the topics for discussion, I suggest several to start with:
- Analysis of the geopolitical situation with a focus on the Slav civilisation, its history and interests
- Developing the idea of common interests and ways of furthering them
- Learning about, making contact with and supporting endangered branches of the Slav tree—the Sorbs, the people of Donbass, expelled Serbs of Srpska Krajina, Ruthenians, Baltic Russians, Slavs in Albania, Serbs in Montenegro and others[3]
- Replacing the false Austro-German account of Slav history with a genuine one
- Discussing the project of repatriation of the Slavs to their native lands in Northern Germany and the Baltics. Making contact with Die Linke in Germany and starting a dialogue about the holocide of the Slavs and how this might be remedied.
- Roman Catholic Church in the Slav lands needs to be replaced by national Catholic churches which retain the western rite and symbolism while being independent of Rome and focussed on the pastoral needs of their flocks. This was attempted unsuccessfully in the 1930 in some places but this time it mustn’t fail. It is both necessary and sufficient condition for the renaissance of the Slav nations.
If it is to live, the movement must transcend national boundaries but NOT I repeat NOT the boundaries of Slavdom. That means that there can be no talk of forming links if these are sponsored by Western intelligence agencies or involve the Vatican. People with true intentions will recognise each other.
More to come soon if there is interest.
Yours,
Ken Sharp… sorry, Leslie
- I repeat that I do not consider the Slavs in any way superior to any other group. In any case, true superiority manifests itself as charity and helping the fellow human being to regain their freedom and honour—like the Soviet Union which helped liberate countless third-world countries from Western colonialism. Despite their despicable political present, most Poles and Ukrainians fought against the Nazis. ↑
- Unless there is a sudden rupture between the Anglo-Saxons and German Europe, it is sensible to think in terms of a united West. ↑
- Of course, Slavs in any Western countries are welcome to participate and reflect on their situation. ↑
Not into religion myself, most of it is obviously either a false version (or I want to stay away from the axis of Abrahamic religions altogether) turn off, but what about Eastern Orthodoxy, at least as the lesser of most evils, if you can pardon the pun.
Dear William,
I would say much more than that but that’s my personal opinion. What an atheist needs to know is that Eastern Orthodoxy has been much more tolerant of old beliefs (but not always!). Most importantly, it has never taken part in any genocides and that is enough to set it apart forever from other monotheisms.
Objection!
There is no Atheist! One can say he doesn’t believe that there is a God in the skies, nor he believes in the saint’s miracles. But everybody believes in 10 commandments of God, + 6 next, everybody is the son, or grand-son of believers, and was raised in an atmosphere fulfilled with their religion and tradition. Religion is not only a list of official believes – our complete understanding of the world and of the reality is in fact our internal religion (and is mostly conditioned by the ancestors’ religion).
The great thing about “Eastern Orthodoxy” — be it Greek, Slavic, Coptic or Ethiopian, tripartite or monophysisist — is that they do not acept the the Western feeling of original sin being inherited. St. Paul wrote that “just like Adam, most men are prone to sin, St. Augustin was famous for being bad at reading and understanding the Greek language, so he interpreted Paul to mean “because Adam sinned, all men must (inherit) his sinfulness” — unless being christianed in the Catholic faith.
Most scientific theologists are aware of this historic misinterpretation, but Western Christendom still act as if they believe Mr. Augustin’s misconception to be true.
That’s not true. Orthodoxy has quite sufficiently condemned Pelagianism and Semi-Pelagianism in numerous local councils (Carthage and Orange, among others) which were affirmed at the Council in Trullo. These heresies denied Original Sin. And ”Mr. Augustin” is Blessed Augustine in Orthodoxy, a canonized Saint, along with the other Orthodox Saints who fought Pelagianism and Semi-Pelagianism like St. Prosper of Aquitaine, St. Fulgentius of Ruspe, St. Caesarius of Arles, and many other Orthodox Fathers. The Fathers in the East had other but equally serious errors to contend with like your Monophysitism, so they weren’t often as explicit as those in the West in condemnation of Pelagianism. However they did do so.
The Christian faith (falsely so called) has become precisely what the testimonies in the bible predicted. The most “devout and faithful” leaders of the lot are the best deceivers. The worst thing about the big picture of it is, anti Christ doesn’t seek truth and actively pursues, denounces, and destroys any One who would. So They enter not in themselves AND hinder those who would enter in. There remains, for the meek and humble of the earth, a reward system that the world cannot perceive or receive. Behold! A Whore riding a 7 Nation beast. The Whore Churches ,which preach an alternate gospel ,needs the beast and Fasle Accusations (devils) to survive Revelations implies the beast will turn on her and devour her flesh. The sooner ,the better. Let God be True and every man a liar. As the days of Noah were, wherein 8 souls were saved, so shall the coming of the Son of Adam be. Good luck.
Bravo, very needed and well written article on non-mainstream topic! We see what religionism and churches as its institutions bring us. Now we can call it plainly: catholic fascism. Vatican is indeed a master in hypocrisy and blackmailing for centuries.
Thank you,
I am truly glad you can see it so clearly.
No,Leslie, it is you, who can see clearly.
Ken,
interesting exposition -thanks for your perspective on “Slavic tribes”. I agree, there is something binding these tribes, I believe it is genetic. I do not know how much of DNA variations and permutations it took to spread and ultimately dilute these common features of body and spirit. I have a question though, why do you seem to have so much disgust towards the Roman Catholicism led by the Vatican? I don’t get it. The Catholicism of Rome or of Constantinople, both are not “of this world”, both are global (but again – not of this world!) and it is beyond me why there is this schism. It seems to be like the Shia and Sunni in the Moslem world, but not as bloody. I may be wrong in my view, I am not a scholar of religions, so my views are my personal opinions. I am happy in myself, “gemütlich” if you will….
Dear Bystander,
The number of genocides and anti-human activities directly sponsored by the Vatican is so large that it would take many months to describe all of them. Stay put for my little expose on the war in Vietnam – it will start to become clearer.
I understand you and I’d rather be doing something else but can’t take this anti-Slav crusade any more. The Slavs need to strike back – first at the EU.
Well said Ken. The problem is that without a major catastrophe the estranged Roman Catholic and Uniate Slavs will not respond favourably to this noble idea. The divide is very, very deep. It goes against their ingrained centuries-old hatred of their original selves. However, with 13 Pentagon biolabs just on the territory of the Ukraine, a couple in Gruzija (Georgia), in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and probably a couple on the territory of occupied Serbia that might just happen. Namely, those labs harvest our genetic material and are being charged with testing the means of targeted biological warfare where only Slavs will be affected. Sputnik had a piece on the labs in May. Search it.
Only then will the Polaks, Croats, Bosnianks, pro-NATO Serb quislings, Georgians, the Czechs, Slovaks, Slovenians, most of Hungarians and Romanians, Albanians, Austrians, many Italians, Greeks, Turks and half of Germans remember their roots.
Dear Marko,
Thank you – my point precisely. But shall we let them live a delusion or wake them up a bit? Remember, if only ONE of them looks into their heart and sees the light, I’ve done my job. There are many others waiting for someone else to start the ball rolling.
The beauty of this idea is that you can never truly escape what you are. Most of their criminality (I am excepting some) comes from this sense of guilt and rage of a convert. It is never long-time Muslims or long-time Catholics. It is most often recent converts (usually Slav and converted violently) that hate their family with most zeal.
I agree. However, although it is important to make the information available, we should be mindful of what Jordan Peterson points out as: “Do not try to rescue someone who does not want to be rescued, and be very careful about rescuing someone who does.”
Life is too complicated and requires a lot of energy which is limited. To waste energy on someone who is beyond hope is irresponsible. Those who live in the truth need to get ready for the final assault that the forces of dark are preparing. Zombies will stay zombies unfortunately.
With a proper revision of the current history written by the Jesuits (military arm of the Vatican), the Slavs should in time emancipate themselves. But that revised history needs to be promoted by the states which are mostly under occupation or are created by direct involvement of the enemy and serve the enemy. So, we have a catch 22.
And do we have much time left anyway?
P.S.
These days Serb Orthodox Bishop Grigorije was in Zagreb, Croatia. What was he doing there? His current post is that of the head of Eparchy of Düsseldorf and all of Germany. Was he there in order to promote Serbian Orthodoxy and fight for the right of the suppressed Serb leftovers OR was he there to further serve his ecumenical masters.
Dear Marko,
Of course – The road to hell is paved etc. At the same time, I am not trying to start anything except remind some people that their fate could be much brighter than eking an existence as servants of Germanised and Catholicised… SLAVS! Everyone has to do what they have to do.
Lessons have been learned – most Croats, Western Ukrainans and many Poles etc. would rather die than join their fellow Slavs. They are the SS Charlemagne of the Slav world – the accursed mercenaries who know what awaits them (or at least they think they know in their warped minds).
Finally, The Serb Orthodox Church is under a powerful attack (and has been for many decades). Some of us know about the suspicious death of Patriarch Varnava who opposed a Concordate with the Vatican. The same thing is continuing now only this time certain Jewish forces have joined in (Soros and his cohorts).
I do humbly believe that what I have to say can only help. The moment it starts doing harm, I’ll stop.
Thank you!
Please keep going as your posts are one valuable and eloquent source of information for those open to dialogue and those like our fellow commentator Vladimir who knew that something was wrong but could not put his finger on it.
Thanks.
I’ll do my best, thank you!
It’s one of those things. You watch your entire life and knowledge being sucked down the drain of obsolescence – then all of a sudden you realise that you can still serve a useful purpose.
There is a very powerful story in this and perhaps a pebble can indeed start an avalanche this time.
Thanks, Marko
It is just the psychology and the structure of tribe, clan etc.
There is a leader and one ,two deputies. Then there are permanent members, who have their position secured.
Then there are some /outsiders/,who want to be members as well and they do anything. These are used and usually do the worst.
Then there are some, who sit on the fence during any conflict and wait, who wins. They then join the winning side and commit the worst crimes to compensate for their cowardly hesitation..
Dear Paw,
You describe converts and “attentistes” (see war in Vietnam). Nothing to add.
Thanks
Well done, my friend, a great postscript to an excellent article! Indeed we will have to see our way through to the way forwards, find a way to defend and protect the Slavic peoples and culture, and in my view, the Orthodoxy with which most are blessed with.
We have hearts of glory burning with desire for freedom, and can never be beaten down for long. We endure the weight of centuries with youthful strength. We are the Katehon that holds back the Eschaton, the forces of Light against the forces of Darkness, the Spirit of Antichrist.
You touched on all the points that need to be expanded on later, Thank you.
Thank you, Vladimir, your poetic sweep is a potent antidote to the squealing of the enemies of the Slavs. I am sure that you will use your considerable knowledge and passion to take this basic idea much further.
To Vladimir
I was just about to post a comment on this Ken’s postcript to his powerful previous piece when I read yours.
I couldn’t have said it better, those would have been EXACTLY my words. Thank you!
And THANK you Ken!
Hi, Katerina,
I am just a humble (well not so humble) vessel transmitting the thoughts of many.
Thank you very much, long live Russia!
Spasibo Katrina, moy Sestra (if I may speak so familiar)!
I think your work is good to see here on the Saker’s website as well!

Indeed they do as much as those of the countless victims of religious and racial genocides masked as civilising missions. This is where true empathy and solidarity are born – with people of all races and colours.
May I also suggest

Ken Leslie, as you may well know, we Czechs spent the entire 19th century arguing about panslavism. In the end, our leaders of that time turned away from the idea; czarism and later Soviet behavior did not help the cause.
But I have to say that personally, I am in favor of reviving it. Thank you for treading beyond the usual lines of thought.
Dear Vera,
Thank you very much – I really appreciate what you’re saying and I do understand that the Russian empire and Soviet Union could have shown more tact when dealing with smaller Slav states but then:
– Soviet Union was the only one to stand up for you while most Czechs were looking westward only to be betrayed and torn apart by the Poles and Germans.
– Second, yes the Czechs might have legitimate grievances but were also not entirely blameless (I mentioned that I have a bit of Czech blood).
Third, it’s not about panslavism but about learning who we are. Understanding, love and empathy even if not strengthened by some kind of union can work wonders for the prosperity of all Slavs.
Beautiful name Vera – and very deep.
The Czechs got too much from Soviets. We got sick. Leaders were two from Ukrajina and one from Georgia.
Putin is only the second Russian president.
One of ours ,Havlicek Borovsky went to Russia and by his experiences there ,he influenced nation against the Russian system of their tzars. /Samoderzavie/.
So then came that karmic turn, to the West. The West who does not hesitate to betray perfidiously itself. And not once.
Dear Vera,
Perhaps you can explain something to me/us. The Germans have owned, occupied and tormented the Czechs for centuries yet this has all been forgotten and forgiven. The Russians liberated the world from your worst tormentors. 1968? Are those two things really comparable?
It is a genuine question, thanks!
Dear Ken,
I will step in, if I may as I know many Czechs for years. They consider themselves a part of the (“better”) western world, not just because of geography. Or rather German to the extend they really do pity themselves not being a Bundesland! You know even in times of Austro-Hungarian monarchy they have been directly under the rule of Vienna, not supressed by Budapest as the other Slavic nations. These pieces of history make them think they are a little more and almost can become masters from quislings…however, they just make even more pathetic minions of them – watch their subordination to Bruxelles once accepted to EU membership. And notice the fact if they comply about the EU they somehow do not mean Berlin.
The USSR was perfectly OK with the nationalities of Eastern block and even the churches over there. The Czechs indeed are not much of catholics as you surely are aware of.
Disclaimer: I am not speaking of the few enlightened Czech people who are nice and in horror of theirs politicians, concidering Vera one of them clearly. How is that Putin was not able to win their hearts?
Because the general opinion in Czechlandia (they really struggle what is actually the name of their country) is still that Russians are savages living in zemlyankas and admiring any dictator of theirs, be it Stalin or Putin. That Russia has no sincere friends or allies, only oil and gas to bribe or blackmail other nations. How is it that Putin as the grandmaster of chess didn’t see it coming in neighbouring Belarus (even after the lesson of Ukraine)? Oh, and of course if he did and it’s just a piece of his great plan, where is the nurtured pro-Russian opposition leader? For all that income from oil they surely could pay some “domokhoziayka” at least with a bit higher mental capacity than Tikhanovskaya or cookies for the rioters. Why not learn from the enemy finally? There were times when they pampered half of the USSR republics and what did the Moscow got in turn? Georgia with Shevarnadze and Saakashvili. Shall we expect another Chechen war when Kadyrov is gone? Please elaborate on this, any of you readers. Thx
Dear master,
Thank you! A lot of pertinent questions and observations. I think you are right about the Czechs but it is also a question of being cut off and surrounded. Some of the greatest “rebels” were Czech – e.g. Jan Hus. The Czechs were the first to start the struggle against Austria-Hungary by spreading Sokol ideas and linking up with the Serbs at the beginning of the 20th Century. Unlike the Croats and Bosnian Muslims, the Czechs went AWOL and joined Serb and Russian armies. They also showed that they were capable of independent statehood (the very fact that Hitler hated CS so much).
It was the Czechs and not the zombified Serbs who accosted the disgusting war criminal Jewish Catholic convert and Georgetown “professor”, the witch Albright in the middle of Praha.
However, there is a dark side there. Bringing down the statue of Marshal Konev was an insult too far.
I’m not sure what president Putin could have done although I am all for subtle means. The whole “West” is aligned against him and the likes of pathetic Czech puppet government are exactly that.
Sister Vera is always welcome!
Thank you, master.
Dear Ken Leslie, thank you again, besides other points I agree with and welcome just a reminder:
you said “I’m not sure what president Putin could have done although I am all for subtle means.” in fact the answer has been indicated by master: “… where is the nurtured pro-Russian opposition leader … at least with a bit higher mental capacity … or cookies for rioters..” and it remained unanswered.
From my point of view rather a task for future, I can imagine Putler has had lot of work with Luka and Saakash types in Russia proper. The same task for us in countries more to west with similarly awfull puppet regimes you describes…
Dear Hojer,
I would agree but am not sure about “Putler”. I hope it was an honest mistake.
Thanks
Dear Ken Leslie, Putler in the text above has been of course attempt to write ironically, with allusion to the propaganda of supposed omnipotent evil in charge of US elections outcome, making Saakashvili to bomb Tschinvali in order to be able later to defeat his army, drawing russian borders too close to NATO bases, etc. This is the way curremt propaganda describes the problem, and to speak about Putler´s sins is the shortcut to express its (propaganda) sheer stupidity at least in my “social bubble”. Sorry if it misled you ;-)
Sure, thanks – I’m turning into an online paranoiac!
Please keep contributing!
Nicely put, and thank you, Ken. We Czechs are badly divided at the moment, as are many countries, and the dark side, as you put it, is quite active. But there is a considerable number who see Russia in another light, not as Soviet Union, and since Syria events, I have been a fan of Putin and the system he is trying to create. I hope there is a worthy successor.
Divided we fall!
The first time I heard about Pan-Slavism was an article by Dugin. Yet there is no way Slavs from Russia can ever be buddies with Slavs from Bulgaria, for instance. Russia saved the Bulgarians from being the spermatozoa receptacles of the Ottomans and how does Bulgaria repay Russia, by running to the West and joining NATO.
Less is more, Russia should just look after itself, the USSR looked after its republics more than it looked after Russia proper, and got nothing but trouble in return. The old USSR was involved everywhere, and exhausted itself by doing so, Russia does not seem to want to get too involved anywhere. If Russia does get involved, it seems to be just doing the barest minimum to stalemate matters, as in the case of Ukraine and Syria. Its a good tactic actually, protect the heartland and frustrate the living daylights out of the enemies’ plans in the peripheries, while waiting for the enemy to complete its social, economic and dollar collapse. So expect some more barest minimum stalemating coming to Belorussia or wherever soon.
But change happens from the top down, not from the bottom up. Anything from the bottom can easily be infiltrated and rendered inconsequential by the more established players, who are definitely on the lookout for anything that could derail their plans. Since Russia does not want to get too involved in peripheral matters and try things from the top down there, the only time Eastern Europe can ever come right will be after the West collapses. Also, only then will Russia absorb those regions that belong to it, like most of Ukraine and all of Belorussia (I would include a lot of the Stan’s in the East in this category as well, they might not be Slavs but they have been with Russia since forever).
But congratulations to the author for exposing the Roman Catholic question. I’m Catholic myself and had thought the Church had abandoned its political intrigue long ago, but that does not seem to be the case. The Catholic bishops in Germany definitely supported the Nazis and blessed the Wehrmacht, but just the other day a commentator on another website was complaining about how the Pope was involved with plots within the Reich to assassinate Hitler. So it looks like one of those support both sides so that whoever wins you can claim to have supported the victor kind of situations yet again.
Dear GT,
Thank you. Less is more works but only up to a point. There comes a time when it ceases to be an intelligent choice and becomes the only choice simply because your options are removed. Since there is no stasis in international relation, the only way (short of open war) is to start pushing back. That’s what I’m doing.
As regards Pius XII, read the book by John Cornwell (sincere Catholic) “The Hitler’s Pope”. Pius funded Hitler as early as 1919 when nuncio in Munich, brought him to power via Franz von Papen, signed the most beneficial Concordat in history with that same Hitler, supported him in all his adventures (Ruhr, Saar, Sudeten, Austria – 90% Catholic), patronised Ante Pavelic and the Independent State of Croatia, blessed Barbarossa, sent Cardinal Lavitrano to Ukraine to scope the opportunities for mass conversions of Russians and million other examples.
He did become very “anti-fascist” in 1943 after Stalingrad – I’ll be writing about this fascinating volte face soon.
Thanks!
There was a memoir written by Pope Pius XII’s German Nun housekeeper, called ”La Popessa”, after the Italian nickname for her because of how close she was to the Pontiff. She recalls that while Pacelli was Papal Nuncio in Munich in 1919, Then-Cardinal Pacelli met with the then young Hitler and handed him a case full of cash, telling him to ”do the Lord’s work” and carry out his crusade against Bolshevism with his blessing..
Bravo! Her name was Pasqualina Lehnert – she was Pius’s “housekeeper” indeed.
Hitler was a young Bavarian separatist then and keen to form a Bavarian Catholic redoubt in order to stop the red “Jewish hordes” storming Germany. Then someone told the ambitious corporal that a very important person Herr von Papen had an offer he shouldn’t refuse.
Finally, Mein Kampf was written by a “redemptorist” father Bernhardt Staempfle.
Keep digging!
Just occurred to me. There is a lot of useful info in the comments sections under my articles. Might be worth a trawl – some is worth saving.
Thanks
Thank you, master. You are right.
IMO, the Czechs have a major identity problem.
The Czechs do hate the Russians.
They also hate the Germans, but they also identify with the Germans. They do not, AFAIK, identify at all with the Russians.
The Czechs were far less successful than the Magyars in separating themselves out from the Austro-Hungarian Empire (BTW, Magyars are NOT Slavs, as KL suggests in one of his posts).
It is a fact that 19th C Germans living in Czechia did not want to learn Czech. So, there is that. At least in the lupper classes and among the Jews. Although I have read that lower-class families in both communities preserved the practice of trading their children so that they (the children) could more easily learn the other language.
But Czech nationalists also hated Germans so much that they refused to work together with progressives in Austria-Hungary to federalize Czechia within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, as Hungary had done. The creation of Czechoslovakia whereby Czechs and Germans were rolled up together with Hungarians, Slovaks, Gypsies, Ruthenians, etc. was not a good recipe for success. The Czechs looked down on most of those others. They identified with the “master race” while hating them, too. Of course, there was a class element.
This refusal to team up with German-Czech nationalists led to continued growth of racial animosity between Czechs and (resident) Germans that ultimately was a factor leading to Hitler’s being able to leverage the animosity with the annexation of the Sudentenland and finally all of Czechia. If Czechia (Bohemia and Moravia) had become a bi-lingual “nation” within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Hitler would not have had a grievance, and neither would the German Czechs.
I am not a professional historian but have read some books about the situation with nationalities within the Austro-Hungarian Empire. So, this is the what the situation looks like to me. In particular as to the pivotal role of Czechs of both language communities, and their ambivalence as to their true identity and interests, in developments throughout Europe, in the 19th and 20th (and 21st?) centuries.
But others are most assuredly better informed and I am curious as to other viewpoints on the role of Czechs.
Katherine
Dear Katherine,
Thank you for bringing some nuance here.
Interestingly, it was precisely those German and Austrian “progressives” that were the loudest advocates of the Karatelna expedition against Serbia. The entire Socialist International voted to support their governments’ war budgets except Serb socialists led by Dimitriye Tutsovich (some would call them traitors).
Best,
Ken
Dear Katherine, if you are really interested, 2 major points you misinterpret and ommit:
you wrote: “But Czech nationalists also hated Germans so much that they refused to work together with progressives in Austria-Hungary to federalize Czechia within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, as Hungary had done.” – in fact it were the Germans who blocked this federalisation demanding to separate parts of historical Czech crown lands (Czechia+part of Silesia not lost by Austria to Prussia previously) for that case. Although language demands were voiced in the beginning, radicals approved separation from Czechia was their intention and soon this position prevailed betwean Germans. Germans even used obstructions to approve the land budget in the then Parliament causing serious economic troubles for then most industrialiased part of Austria. In opposition to your statement Czechs worked together with Austria progressives, but the Vienna throne always sided with Germans in the end. It has rather to do with German hate to all slavic, which has been discussed here and seems to be lasting. Not to speak of Czech Jews who with just few proud exceptions (https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lev_Borsk%C3%BD) sided with Germans then. Of course the rising hate was proportinate on both sides. In my opinion this resilience of Austria to oppose its German minority nationalistic demands led to its end, in fact.
Similarly when you wrote “If Czechia (Bohemia and Moravia) had become a bi-lingual “nation” within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Hitler would not have had a grievance, and neither would the German Czechs.” – you underestimate hardly the German´s/Hitler´s hate towards Slavic nations. The concessions to Hitler never worked. Soon we will realise that concessions to Brussels/Berlin do not work too – they always cause disaster and the solution they demand are further concessions… The same for certain progressive movements in US or for the whole european civilisation in US+Europe, I think.
Dear Hojer,
Thank you very much – a lot of positives have been buried by the enemies of the Slavs – it is up to us to make others aware of them again.
So the german were invited by our Czech kings to settle in the Czech Crown Kingdom. Since 13-14 century. They prospered.
After they, the hapsburgs were invited to rule they brutally abused their power and broke every promise they gave. /Small letters they deserve/.
Especially by treatment from us , they enjoyed the politically strongest party in our democratic republic since 1918 and after our economic miracle /without any help/ starting in 1918 as well. After 300 hundred years of nasty slavery.
Before, they loved to put the signs on the german coffees, restaurants atc. in Prague.
“The czech and dog not welcomed ! We apologize to dogs”.
After 1945 they /their insane crimes /Lidice atd/,turned us to SSSR.
Betrayed by the West. As well.
One note : We the Czech we know what we are and why !!! Do not worry about it.
Dear Paw,
Thank you for sharing these historical memories with us. I know many good things about the Czechs and it is painful to see what is happening. My hope is that patriotic young people with slowly take the reins.
You do know that Kubis and Gabcik hid in an Orthodox Church after doing away with Hook-Nose Heidrich?
Dear Ken Leslie, thanks again and just a shor remarque a bit in defense of Katherine comment above: as you mentioned: “a lot of positives have been buried by the enemies”, they really have been working hard to promote their version of history including the attempts of Austria federalisation in 19th century. For example the struggle of archivist and historian Karel Kazbunda (https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karel_Kazbunda) to work with archives on this issue met first the attempt to conceal the documents in Vienna archive after WW1, he however by chance discovered the secret repository and succeded to work with it despite the resistance of Austria officers, before he managed to process it completely in Prague, the German nazis came and stole the archives for ever probably. Being ostracised again by communist after WW2 he continued to work on this issue based on his excerpts on his own and finaly in 1995 his work was rewritten and published https://www.databazeknih.cz/knihy/otazka-cesko-nemecka-v-predvecer-velke-valky-325927 Sorry for sources in Czech only, but translation not available (yet).
Anyway I wanted by that to document the systematical work of enemies on their presentation of history (the Slavs/Czechs wanted only to oppress the Germans, as they are clueless, etc. ..). So I presume they succeded to promote this version to these days in West and even Katherine (may) has been influenced by that. To some extent it prevails now even in regime propaganda in Slavic countries (corresponds to your description of puppet regimes, popularity of self-nation-hating etc.), however I must admin that we enjoy that much liberty that non-regime ideas and versions of history are not prosecuted (that much, though not promoted) and interested non historians like me can get in touch with such sources.
I mean the task is not to to incite old hates/resentiments towards other nations (we may face common enemy soon anyway). The task is rather to stand the ground with truth and calmly explain the truth of history, roots and present and get over current propaganda (including fact and history burial by enemies you mentioned) including its anti-Slavic part.
Bye.
Dear Hojer,
Thank you very much. I completely understand your perspective and agree mostly. Remember that the “freedoms” you have are bought at the expense of surrendering your fate to NATO and eventually marching on Russia again.
Here is a suggestion. Start a campaign for pulling Czechia out of NATO and for closer links with Serbs and Russians.
I am not advocating hatred etc. but the part of the problem is that you Western Slavs are marching in lockstep with the German Euro Reich and its US enforcers. I know there are many patriotic Czechs and Germans who hate imperialism and my heart goes to them. But the onus is on them to stop the beast. The Serbs are done and the Russians are preparing for the big bang.
Thank you!
Dear Ken Leslie – nice, thanks.
As for advocating hatred – I did not mean you did it, just that to some extent we have to understand poeple educated in myths of bad/ugly Slavs with history spinned, etc. as you suggested.
As for marching on Russia, I already commented somewhere, most people here do not buy the related propaganda seriously, should that happen, most would take the stance of Good soldier Švejk (Schweik) in my opinion which may be the best one can do in such situation (police officers in US come to mind – taking sickdays etc. nowadays when BLM peaceful marches should take place). And btw. even Švejk´s author – Hašek switched sides for Cs. legions in Russia fighting shoulder by shoulder with Russians against the Empire. I just hope that succesfull western subersion of kind of bolshevism and subsequent division of forces would not be the outcome again as history tends to repeat itself (the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce, someone said already too…).
Yes, Hojer,
Forgive me for being a bit tense. It was the Czechs and not the Croats who first came to Serbia at the beginning of the 20th Century bringing their Slav ideas to Belgrade (as opposed to Polish paradigms (e.g. Czartorysky plan), these were not directed against Russia). It was the Czechs (and not the Croats) who crossed the line in WWI and joined the Russians and Serbs.
Second, Svejk is a good example of how one can duck and weave in the face of a powerful oppressor (in Serb literature, there is Petar Kocic and I’m sure many similar examples in Slovenian literature and others).
The essence of what I am saying is that people do not need to worry about unions, federations and the Russian knut. What I would like to do is to open up a discussion on how this issue should be approached from both sides (East and West). It is about becoming aware of each other without falling into stereotypes and negatives imposed by those who hate the Slavs. Despite the current negative atmosphere, I am convinced that there is a lot of pent up power there that if handled properly could benefit all.
Thank you and keep writing!
Katherine would do well to read a few of the appalling speeches of Heydrich (when he spoke to fellow Nazis). And the “plans” he had for us western Slavs. Very informative for any Slavs.
Hi Ken, nice talking to you.
That’s easy… both sides mistreated us. Nothing is forgotten.
Plus the Austro-Hungarian Empire too.
No end of trouble. That’s what happens to a small nation in the middle of Europe.
I am not mentioning only 1968. We were forcibly Sovietized from 1948 on, we had sham trials and people killed while Stalin lived, forcible collectivization was dictated from abroad, we were forced to ship out uranium, mined in part by political prisoners, to the Soviet Union, and it goes on and on…. including the dictated lies brought home after the war by all the Czechs who spent the war in SSSR, about the workers’ paradise. Sigh.
And our Party people were Moscow’s toadies. Maybe the biggest toadies of the eastern Europe socialist bloc.
It would be nice to hear from Russian patriots, yeah, when we were Soviet Union, we really screwed you up. Sorry about that. Then we can move on, you know what I mean?
Hi Ken,
Thank you for your thoughts and contribution. It is difficult to move forward if we don’t understand where we have been.
I have spent a lot of time with the Western Slavs over the last 20 years and am lucky enough to have beautiful Slavic mother to my children. Looking ahead, my sense is that the power in Europe is quite possibly shifting from West to East and hence the Slavic nations are poised to benefit from this shift, if they can only harness it. This will take backbone as there are many that will try to exacerbate the existing divisions between the large Slavic parts of Europe and Eurasia; geopolitics is a juxtaposition of nuance and brutality. Part of me is saddened by the current state of the Western Nations in general right now and I hope that we can drag ourselves out of this largely self-induced morass. This also means changing our relationship with the central, eastern and south-eastern areas of the continent. I live in hope. For example, if our destiny is to be a spacefaring species then I dream about a fusion of the Russian space program with that of Europe; the experitise and industrial potential is there. We only need to show the will.
As an aside, I have recently read a little about the old pagan Slavic beliefs and pantheon. I was interested to find out that the God Perun was common across vast areas of old Europe. Moreover there seems to have been many similarities between the pre-Christian Slavic beliefs and that of the Old Norse and Old Baltic religions.
Unity is a pleasant dream…but the foundations are often there if we choose to scratch the surface.
Dear Glossopteris,
What a lovely comment! I believed in space travel when young – now I would be happy with friendly visits and exchanges here on Earth!
Also, we need to re-imagine Europe to fit its largest ethnic group.
Thank you. Your experience will be very valuable to this debate and further.
Thank you!
p.s. I even found real similarities between the Slav and Yoruba pantheons believe it or not. No need for Himmlerian fakery.
My pleasure Ken. And again let me again thank for you for starting this conversation in the first place.
I am optimistic for the future, even if the journey there is to be a less than easy one. But a hard road makes the destination all that much sweeter on the arrival, don’t you think?
The first person in space was Slavic. It is time we rekindled the fire.
Indeed, and the first woman! And Pavel Petrovich Popovich!
If you’ve read Carlos Castaneda, Don Juan Matus says (paraphrase): Always walk a path which has heart.
So much positive energy waiting to be unleashed…
Thank you very much! Stick around.
Awesome comment! Thanks.
Dear Ken Leslie,
thank you for presenting the topic which, as you point out, is not presented enough and majority of Slav peoples ourselves are hardly aware of nowadays due to all kinds of misinformation and misrepresentation of the so called officaly written history and especially respecitve local corrupt elites, which are knowingly distorting their histories and selling out their counties and peoples.
I do agree with all the points you are presenting however I hardly believe that we will be able see the day when some kind of Slavic union in whichever sense will come into fruition in the time frame of a generation or two, since initial steps of Slavic culture revival beginning in the 19th century were interrupted with WW1 and afterwards with WW2. It would take a very carismatic leader to achieve such a goal. Although there does exist one already…
I am interested into the topic further and am looking forward to your next article.
Dear Borut,
Thank you. I think it’s important to understand that I am not proposing any kind of unified state or federation. It is interesting though that you thought of it! Deep down, many of us feel this to be a natural solution.
You are absolutely right about the attempted revivals of the Slav culture and the Vatican’s all too successful attempts to counter this. This was done by designating “Croatism” as the main carrier of political Catholicism in the Balkans (1901 Congress in Zagreb) and some of this was transferred to Slovenian clericalism (Marko Natlacen et al.).
If my article manages to gather good people like yourself, that’s success enough! Yes, president Putin could…
Naturally, being a practicing Catholic , I completely reject your views on the Catholic Church . I’m no historian but fully understand that your view is counter to the deep not only understanding but implementation of the Bible and the New Testament in then teachings and practices buy the church in our world today.
Dear Jean-Marie,
Please don’t misunderstand me. I have deep respect for many Roman Catholics who have followed the teachings of Jesus Christ DESPITE abominations such as Papal infallibility and Vatican’s support for fascism etc.
Also, I really do not wish to hurt your feelings but I think many practicing Catholics understand that something is wrong there. Think political Catholicism, Azzione Cattolica, Jesuitical meddling, support for dictatorships and genocides – what has that got to do with Christianity?
Merci
France has been a Catholic country for a very long time and complaining about that would be both crude and counterproductive. Please understand – decent people who believe in God are not my enemy but those who manipulate them for their nefarious purposes which have nothing to do with the words of Jesus Christ.
Ultimately, I believe that many honest RC believers would join this struggle against oppression and cultural genocide.
The great Ho Chi Minh’s greatest enemy in his fight to liberate Vietnam was the Roman Catholic Church (and its minions). At the same time, many Catholics took part in the liberation struggle and proved themselves true patriots. Many French people fought the Nazis and President De Gaulle was a very religious man (although the fact that Pius XII granted him an audience only in 1944 speaks volumes).
Pius worked tirelessly for a German victory and Charles De Gaulle sent a fighter squadron to the Soviet Union (the famous Normandie-Niemen squadron). You see the difference?
@Jean-Marie
Before Martin Luther posted his 95 theses, the Catholic church never bothered to use the Bible seriously. They used the Bible only to suit their needs (such Selfishness). It was during the Counter-Reformation that they pretended preach from the Bible. There are many, many practices of the Catholic church that run contrary to what the Bible contains. Take for example, the INQUISITION.
Jean-Marie, I was raised as a Catholic and converted to Orthodox Christianity during my university years. If you want to understand which one is truly the church that Christ Himself founded, read up on the history of both with an eye to who has kept their beliefs and ecclesiology the same. Also, don’t fall into the (especially Protestant) error of finding “proof quotes” for one position or another!
http://www.pollitecon.com/html/ebooks/From-Sanskrit-to-Macedonskrit.pdf
“The identical words corpus of Sanskrit and Macedonic ( Slavic ) languages…”
I’m re-posting this link for the author’s interest, as Macedonia is rarely mentioned on this site, yet her importance is understood well by ‘the enemies of the Slavs’, as the author put it, hence the centuries long drive to dissolve and re-brand the Macedonian Identity/heritage, on behalf of the West, slicing and dividing it up between itself and Macedonia’s neighbours. Russia too, knows the immense value of the Macedonian heritage, which VV Putin acknowledged in late April, 2017, when he thanked then President Ivanov for giving Russia her alphabet, as he put it, ( Cyrillic or ‘Kirillica’ ). From the pdf above;
“The striking similarities in Sanskrit and Macedonian indicate that during some pristine period of history, the speakers of the two languages lived close together. According to linguist and author, WR Rishi, the relation between these two languages is so minute that it cannot be attributed to mere chance. It was not by chance that Aleksandar embarked on his monumental campaign to India. In the end, he was just re-uniting the pieces of the one and the same urheimat ( homeland ), where the people could understand him and his companions. How else could he have possibly enrolled the Persian military forces under Macedonian command, or hold the Persian state administration under command if they didn’t understand a word of the Macedonian language? He conquered the ancient Oriental world, but the Occidental Macedonian and the Oriental Persian worlds didn’t clash!”
So, if Macedonia is so important, why is it ignored by almost everyone, and why is any voice standing up in its defence, roundly ridiculed? It’s very simple… no one wants to admit to their thefts, and even less, return or acknowledge them. Everyone has taken something from Macedonia that they are not willing to return or acknowledge; it’s simply easier to let her die, as the old must eventually die. Today, the Macedonian heritage, pricelss artifacts, manuscripts form its monasteries etc. plundered over the centuries, exist in Museums from Moscow/St. Petersburg, Belgrade/Sofia , Western Europe and the USA. In most cases a geographical location is offered, and that’s about it.
What’s of profound significance in the article, is the Glossary. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of words attest to a past the world of today has little interest in. It’s never been my intention, as it is of many Greeks, Serbs and others who have their own views and are welcome to them, to tell me “that I am plain wrong”, then proceed to attack me. If anyone has read any of my past posts re: Macedonia, they will know that I have always said this is my view, arrived at through my own research, and here is my evidence, take it or leave it. I have never said people cannot have their opinions… I have simply said that I have a right to state mine, w/out ridicule, and present my evidence,
which the good Ken Leslie has stated is denied to Slavs in general. Imho, the Glossary in the above pdf is impossible to deny, especially as today’s Macedonian language is still virtually unchanged after millenia.
I hope the author will appreciate the article, and add it to his collection of data on Slavic studies.
Dear Dimitar,
Thank you very much and I appreciate your struggle for self-affirmation as a nation. Thank you also for the article and the history lesson.
I believe that I understand why Macedonians such as yourself are not taken seriously (as seriously as you would like). There are still living national claims to the territory of Macedonia and this means that your claims will be drowned out. I don’t speak Serb (or Macedonian) but am told that there are large similarities between the two languages (also with the Bulgarian).
How is one to determine whose national claim is the oldest and which language originated from which? Not that it matters to me.
However, the aim of my article was to bring Slav people together. The problem with that is that in order to do this, the Macedonians (I mean mainly their pro-NATO, pro-VMRO and pro-Albanian politicians and intellectuals) would have to forfeit their reliance on NATO – the main enemy of the Slavs. Of course, the same is true of the Western Slavs but as long as national grievances can be set aside, this should be a positive experience.
For example, how could the Macedonians contribute to the breaking down of the barriers between different Slav groups?
Thank you!
Hi Ken, and thank you for your measured and honest reply. The current claims made on the Macedonian identity and heritage can all be refuted and culminated with the so-called Bucharest Treaty, of 1913, when the territory of geographic and ethnic Macedonia, then under Ottoman control, was divided up amongst Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria and Albania post Balkan Wars. Since then, many Macedonians have not been able to endure the economic and existential pressure and in order to survive, have “become” either Serb, Greek, Bulgarian or Albanian. Today, the populations of all of these countries have at least a portion of people who have Macedonian origins. Needless to say, we know what happens when people become Janissaries; they end up, whether out of self-loathing, or what I don’t know, the greatest enemies of their ethnic kin. This phenomenon is most prevalent today in Greece and Bulgaria, with these two countries absolutely brazen in their efforts to deny the Macedonian identity, and claim it as their own, with many former Macedonians in the forefront of those efforts.
Greece aggrandises itself as the “owner” of the ancient Macedonian heritage; ie; they claim Phillip the Second and Aleksander Makedonski ( to be later named “The Great” by Europe, in order to disassociate him from his ethnic roots ), while Bulgaria insists on the Macedonian heritage from about the arrival of their “Tataro-Mongol” forebears on the Macedonian Peninsula, people like Han Asparuh, and others… somewhere between 7 – 9 C. AD, a claim that Bulgarian Historiography itself promotes. ( Macedonian historiography has no record of arrival from anywhere, it’s always claimed that it is authochtonous to Macedonia! ) This is a co-ordinated effort by both countries, and Bulgaria never makes any claims to Greek occupied Aegean Macedonia, but only to today’s R.of Macedonia. An example that a sensible person would recognise as authentic, is the fact that the most common names in Macedonia are, and have always been Aleksandar, followed by ‘Goce’, a shorter version of Gjorgi, and named after the great Macedonian Revolutionary, Goce Delčev, who was killed by Bulgarian and Greek andarte in an ambush, in 1903. Delčev was a charismatic man of the people, of his day, and devoted his life to an autonomous Macedonia. He specified that his body should be laid to rest in an independent and sovereign Macedonia. Today his head is in Skopje, and his body, still somewhere in BG, which the Bulgarians will not return. Goce ( Goh-ceh ) as a name is virtually unknown in Bulgaria, nor are there any songs commemorating his life, whereas the Macedonian folk-song canon, contains many songs about Goce Delčev and his exploits against the Ottomans, Greece, Bulgaria etc. as it does about the dismemberment of ethnic and geographic Macedonia, and as it also does, about Aleksandar Makedonski. Greeks have no songs about Macedonia that I am aware of. I could go on and on with examples, but suffice to say, that in the early part of the 20th century, Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria, as well as the Western press of the day, all refer to the authochtonous Macedonians as “Macedonians”. This would only change later due to geo-strategic manouvering on behalf of these states. Serbia, once an occupier of Macedonia, prior to the Ottoman occupation, today deny a Macedonian Orthodox Church, and claim Macedonian spiritual legacy as “Serbian”. Bulgaria, claim the language as a “dialect of Bulgarian”, a claim so stupid as to be laughable, since their own history speaks of their Turkic origins! The proto-Bulgars became cultured through their association with the Macedonians, took on our language, but today, acc. to them “it’s all Bulgarian”.
Re: today’s Macedonian political climate… the country has descended into utter chaos, where a quisling government installed by the US “Embassy”, has stolen two elections after forcible occupation of the parliament on 27 April, 2017. It denies everything Macedonian, sanctions Albanian territorial claims and has placed them in all key political positions, so the Albanians effectively run the country, along with their Soros and US-funded Social Democratic Union of Macedonia, cronies. These US sock-puppets have agreed to all of Greece’s desires, and the wonderful statue of Aleksandar of Makedon, on his rearing horse in Skopje, is now a “dedication to our good friends, the Greeks”, while Delčev is being made into a “Bulgarian”, by the very people who murdered him some 115 years ago. These are just a few of the “requirements” that Macedonia “must fulfill” in order to “gain a date to begin accession talks for membership in the EU. The EU in all of this, has been shameful
to say the very least, with Macedonian identity being gifted to it’s historical enemies in order to enrich a handful of Albanians and enable their terrirtorial claims to Western Macedonia, and a handful of primitive Macedonian politicians, elite, church, cultural figures, etc. etc. Finally, about a dozen Macedonian patriots – people who simply protested the takeover of the country, in 2017, languish in jail with a combined sentence of some 200 years plus, a measure that is not lost on the average Macedonian. Today’s illegally re-named “Northern Macedonia” is a police state where there is no law and order of even the most basic type. The largest opposition party, the so-called VMRO DPMNE, who is supposedly a patriotic party, is under control by the US. Simply, no dissent is allowed. I hope you get the picture.
How could Macedonians contribute to an all-Slav “pomiruvanje”?… Many ways… Macedonia is one of the most culturally rich heritages in the world, and have exquisite music, arts, cuisine, sightseeing, anything and everything to offer visitors and friends, but while they are not accepted by their closest neighbours or the West, cannot do so. I do reiterate, however, the respect that Russia has given successive Macedonian governments, however, the will of the Macedonian people has been depleted from within, and while this state of affairs is in place, there’s little it can do. How can Macedonia contribute, Ken, when all of it’s neighbours, the big players such as US and EU, are on a mission to wipe out it’s people, heritage/history, etc.? To debase yourself never gained respect from anyone. Macedonia, the once great empire, today is a feeble shadow of it’s bold youth… the victim cannot make reparations when it’s committed no crime other than being what it is and saying so. I sincerely apologise for the length of this comment. In Spirit, D.
Dear Dimitar,
Thank you. I have been struggling to think of an honest reply. Struggle for independence is very important but from my perspective, the FRAGMENTING of the Slav space is a danger number one. If your church is only recognised by the Vatican (and Tito) and your independence guaranteed by NATO (like e.g. Montenegro), these evil entities have a vested interest in promoting Macedonia as a buffer against any Balkan federations that could reverse the current Albanian plague. Am I wrong?
To you, first, Ken, and then also to Dimitar, I respectfully make the following comment:
I was born and am native to far off islands in the Antipodes, and as far as I know have not one drop of Slav blood in my veins, having been raised and educated in the west, where I still live. I received a western-oriented liberal arts education and have raised my children (who now have children) here.
By the grace of God, one of my teachers at college was also a priest in the Orthodox Church. He was Russian (both parents) though never himself set foot in Russia. He built a little church, and I became a parishioner. I thank the Lord for this great gift every day and will to the end of my life.
Before I came to the Church, I had the experience of two years study in a high school located on the grounds of a Catholic women’s monastery, so my teachers there were nuns. That too was formative, and I thank the Lord for that experience.
Finally, you both and others here have contributed greatly to my education, and I thank Him for leading me here this morning. I haven’t yet seen your first essay, Ken. I think that is fortuitous. I might have found myself among your detractors, but going there now that will not be the case. And to Dimitar, let me say that you have solved an enigma for me: as I said, our priest never visited Russia in his life, but near the end of it, he did visit what was then Yugoslavia, to go to the beautiful part of it which is Macedonia. You have opened my eyes as to why he did that. (And I like that he told me afterward that he had seen many women who looked like me, an antipodian, in the streets of the towns there.)
It’s a small world. Thank you both very much!
Thank you Juliana for your enlightened comment.
Let me repeat – nothing against Catholicism, everything and the kitchen sink against political Catholicism. I’m just not sure if one is possible without the other.
It is similar in some ways to the difference between Judaism and Zionism.
I’m not sure what I’ve done to deserve the plaudits I do love humanity.
Ken, For the sake of your message of peace and unity, I will refrain from providing a detailed analysis exposing the absolute absurdity of these claims brought forth by certain citizens of northern Macedonia.
I will only say it’s quite humorous reading the nonsensical justifications of propagandized folk, which lack any historical, linguistic or genetic evidence . People, who in their attempts to point out their preeminence or uniqueness, actually appropriate the history and language of those they claim to be the “others” and “occupiers”. Boy oh boy, Tito and the Vatican certainly identified the perfect kind of stooges to wage war against their own.
Thank you, Epithet,
What I don’t understand is – once you accept the Vatican and NATO as your masters, why try to ingratiate yourself with the former “occupier”. It has to do with hedging their bets. On the one hand NATO is using their statelet as a launchpad and on the other, they would like Putin to “save them” from the Albanians who will overrun them soon. And theirein lies their tragedy.
Their fate is similar to that of the Uniates (not quite Latin, not quite Orthodox) who cling to their “exceptional” history while serving as a wedge.
If Dimitar ever comes back, I would be grateful if you were to explain a thing or two to him. Your history must be much better than mine.
Unity and peace yes – but not at the expense of truth.
Dear Ken,
“Your history must be much better than mine”.
Thank you, but I doubt that very much, my friend. Your historical knowledge is far more extensive and covers, in detail, many different peoples and events which have impacted humanity on a global scale. I may know a little more about certain Slavic tribes and their prehistoric origins, but that’s only because I’m afforded the luxury of studying selective geographical and culturally relevant material.
I support any and all real evidence to contradict my personal historical perspective. By “embracing” and reading the history of our oppressors, I believe I’m able to appreciate and accept the difference between nationalistic bravado and actual historical proof. I actually agree with some of his assertions, as it relates to language and the Turkic origins of neighbors. I just correctly call it Serbian.
My absolute disagreement and bewilderment comes from his propensity to appropriate Serbian history and language , in his justification to claim some separate history for a small tribe, one of several Serbian tribes (lets call them Slavs not Serbs, so as not to offend delicate sensibilities) , on the territory named Macedonia, by Romans and Ancient Greeks. Personally, I believe Aleksandar was of both Greek and Slavic origins. That should leave Anonius and Dimitar equally upset with me ;).
My heart does go out to the “Slavs” of “Macedonia”. They have suffered terribly under assimilation attempts throughout the centuries. Including the very hushed up pogram following WWI. The fact that such nationalists do not recognize that most of their grandfathers considered themselves Serbs and appreciated the tremendous blood sacrifice of their brothers to free them from centuries of Ottoman oppression, is an insult too far. I’ll wish them well and repeat what I said several years ago- Don’t come crying to us, we’ve long accepted this betrayal and theft of ancient Serbian land. I wryly recommended they call the mighty Bulgars when the Albanians come calling.
Dear Epithet,
I wrote somewhere that I was looked after as a child by a wonderful man from Macedonia called Trayko who wore a Serb national hat and thought of himself as Serb. He was from around Tetovo I think.
Is it true that Tsar Dushan had his palace in Skoplje?
It seems that the Macedonians (Southern Serbs) were poisoned by the same combination which did away with King Alexander – the Bulgarian VMRO and the Vatican (and later Tito’s machinations).
It’s good to know the truth. Your passion is inspirational.
Thank you
Yes sir, Skopje was the capital of the Serbian empire in the 14th century.
Tsar Dusan is deliberately described as a conqueror by most Vatican and Byzantine “historians” (The Roman Empire, Byzantium name is a pretty facade to mask this very real continuation of the Roman Empire ). Even though the lands and people he liberated from the Romans, shared the same culture, genetics and language. Quite the conqueror, eh?
Hi Ken
Thanks for another important and necessary article
From one who almost entered the RC seminary I was genuinely shocked and disgusted when I stumbled across the nefarious plots of The Vatican and the City of London (aka The City), the Rothschild banking dynasty’s head offices – against Russia specifically and the Slavic nation
I posted a link on another thread (maybe the Cafe?) which I thought you may be interested in entitled ‘The Secret Government or The Hidden Hand’ by Count Arthur Spiridovich http://www.resist.com/SecretGovernment-Spiridovich.pdf
He died penniless in the USA after his life’s work of seeking to unite the 200+million Slavs in a pan-Slavic movement ended in abject failure
Bearing in mind that historically the religious militants the Soldiers of God (aka Jesuits) and Talmudic jews have worked hand-in-hand throughout the centuries – Spiridovich’s work is an excellent backgounder
When read in tandem with:
The West’s Long War Against Serbia and The Paradox of Yugoslav History

… and
Why England Was Always The Worst Enemy Of Russia, July 30, 2020
https://www.stalkerzone.org/?s=England+Russia+enemy
anyone can see how this organized campaign (which could well have stemmed from the 1054 Great Schism) against the Orthodox Church, Russia and the Slavs has resulted in unimaginable human misery and why the UK is referred to as “perfidious Albion”
Its also important to remember as Saker has posted on this site previously that it was in fact the Roman Church that removed *itself from the Catholic (literally universal) Church – doctrinally
Regards
Dear Tyson B,
Thank you for this. I did take note and while I don’t discount the involvement of the Jews (it’s very substantial), it muddies the waters. If England were the worst enemy of Russia why did it fight on the same side as Russia in two world wars?
At the same time, I can’t exonerate Britain – it has caused untold miseries not only to Russia but other Slav nations too. I’ll try to say something about that too.
Re the Jews – I would advise for the time being to focus on the 1000 years of the genocide by the Germans and the Vatican – I can read about “evil Zionists” everywhere – from Unz to Bausman (both Jewish?) but nobody wants to discuss the obvious.
Obvious first, invisible later!
Thanks
If we are sticking with the obvious, it is owrth noting this:

I have not read all of the contributions, and so may have missed someone else posting the above link.
Dear Gary,
Thank you. Serbia lost over three million souls in less than 30 years thanks to the German and Roman Catholic genocide (later joined by the Jews and Anglo-Saxons). That is between 30% and 40% of the population.
Not only is the world looking askance but the genocide is continuing through depleted uranium, brain drain and cultural Serbocide in the whole of the Balkans.
How do you expect the Serbs who stood bravely against the entire West ON THEIR OWN for 10 years to oppose it now when China and Russia are reluctant to engage them and the latter cannot help?
This doesn’t excuse the quisling Vucic but just puts things into perspective.
Panslavism is as utopian as Pangermanism or Aryanism (White!). Too much talk about Perun, Triglav, old pagan Slavic beliefs and pantheon, to be taken seriously. Russia will not take the lead of a ‘Slavic world’ to fight the Antichrist.
Ken Leslie sounds like a fanatical Protestant whose grand plan is to strangle the last Pope with the entrails of the last Russian. Good luck to him, selling this plan to President Putin!
By the way, I’ll wear “Protestant” as a badge of honour.
It is not surprising that what remained of the Serbs/Wends/Prussians mainly adopted Protestantism. It is not surprising that one of the greatest Czech heroes was a Protestant. As I mentioned in one of my previous articles, Jesuitical cutthroats Kuntsevitch and Bobola targeted not only the Orthodox but Protestants as well – as did the Croats in Jasenovac.
Great news!
President Lukashenko has just closed the borders between Byelorussia and two CATHOLIC vulture-countries – Poland and Lithuania. They were fomenting civil war in the areas of Byelorussia in which Polish jesuits had performed mass murders and conversions of the Orthodox folk in the 17th Century. The convert descendants of those unfortunates are now carrying the Nazi flags through Minsk.
NEVER AGAIN!
I am waiting for an appropriately evocative armband – a blue rhombus with a “P” in it should do. I would be honoured to join many innocents who had to wear similar bands.
The quote about the entrails is supposed to remind the readers of the hatred of the English protestants for the “Papists”. My knowledge is a bit fuzzy but weren’t large numbers of Protestants martyred by the Catholics first?
It wasn’t quite the St. Bartholomew’s Day massacre
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Bartholomew%27s_Day_massacre
or the Siege of Magdeburg
http://www.revisionist.net/magdeburg.html
but we should still remember these innocent victims of the “one true Church”.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Protestant_martyrs_of_the_English_Reformation
The first and third atrocity were ordered by women.
As I said, England is rather unique in that it fought a successful defensive action against black parachutists sent from various Jesuit colleges in France and Belgium.
England’s horrible colonial record notwithstanding, it pays to study the way in which they fought to preserve their independence. Being an island helped though.

Dear Stasia,
Thank you – you are the only one who has the cojones to challenge the greatest genocide in history. I respect that. You are not hiding behind sweet nothings (like the proverbial Jesuits) but are fighting for your side. You know what would be wonderful? What is it that you object to? I do not hate Catholic believers – what does that even mean? Avuncular Italian parish priests? No way! But I do hate the hydra presiding over the whole show which has caused immense damage to the Slavs. I do despise and feel sorry for the zombified masses of believers who identify with the dirty genocidal geopolitics of the Vatican. What is your objection?
You remember Blade Runner? There was a test which enabled the police to detect a cyborg. They simply weren’t capable of answering the question – it messed with their circuits. So here is one for you.
Are the Jesuits, nuns and bishops that were murdered by the ultra-Catholic right-wing regimes in South America heroes or villains in your view?
I’m neither a Slav, nor a Roman Catholic and not an organized religion member. So, I don’t belong in this thread. My comment here is one of nuance and peace. I would like to answer the following question because I know a bit of South America. Don’t drive-by shoot me!
“Are the Jesuits, nuns and bishops that were murdered by the ultra-Catholic right-wing regimes in South America heroes or villains in your view?”
I would add a category here – heroes, villains or innocents would make the question realistic.
Two very quick stories – My neighbor is Roman Catholic. Every morning early she leaves to go and attend Mass. During lockdown, she would come outside early morning, and pray right there on her front verandah.
My mom is of a different religion and a different civilization. She also prays every morning.
If I ask my mom what she prays for, and I ask my neighbor the same question – very different religions, different civilizations as different as North is from South, they say the same thing.
They pray for children, they pray for those around them, and they pray that God will bring peace to all of us and they make themselves known in front of God.
Years ago, I met a couple, highly educated, Roman Catholic Liberation Theologists (please do not kneejerk!) and because I knew nothing about this, of course I asked many questions and learned some about this. This was in a Latin American country. These people were real with a real mission despite their religious differences with their own church, and with me, for example (although we really had no differences if we cut to the bottom of it – most differences came to form, and not substance – and believe me, we dove into the substance plenty – mainly to find if the substance had substance :-). In time, over three years, we became deep friends.
They lost their youngest child to a strange death. It was a little warning to devout people.
Hence, if we cannot take the innocents into account we will be, in my view, the same as warmongers. In my civilization, and in yours, the problems are the same, it is just the face of the adversary and the form that changes.
Dear Amarynth,
Thank you although I don’t quite understand the point – don’t we agree? Most of the killed were Liberation Theologists – meaning they advocated freedom from the US empire, workers’ and peasants’ rights etc. In my book, they are heroes and examples which show that if one accepts political Catholicism (some would say all religion is political), there is a different human and humane side to RC which deserves our respect.
The key point here is that anybody who opposed the dictator Vojtyla (be it liberation theologians or Polish left-wing priests) ended up either dead or removed. He openly colluded with the CIA and its death squads to remove all who stood in the way of his vision of a fascist Civitas Dei. There should be peace but there can be no peace between humanity and fascism.
Forgive me, I shall make my aim here very clear so there is no misunderstanding.
I am here to attack and not to defend – as politely as I can. I have very good and deep reasons for attacking those I am attacking. The Slavs have been defending themselves for a 1000 years either with arms, by retreating or by submitting to the occupiers. They’ve had to defend their origins, their place under the sun and their identity. Even today, Russia is defending its right to exist from the vultures of the West. God forbid that I should note that Russia is only a part of a much larger domain! ENOUGH!
Attack is the best defence (not Yogi Berra).
Sure – have your attack. I guess I feel a distinct lack at a real believable depiction of the innocents – and we find those everywhere – and that is why I pointed them out, as well as their deep value. Attack has consequences, usually the innocents pay.
If I may make a request this is what I would enjoy:
Analysis of the geopolitical situation with a focus on the Slav civilisation, its history and interests.
(Because to tell you the truth, after all this, I may just scream in horror and run in a different direction the moment I see any Slav – but here I am, working for a Slav, working against Empire and against the war on Russia and further empirical wars. I might as well bury myself already next time I run across a German person after these threads! LOL, save the innocents Ken! )
The very truth. For instance the Russians Armies “visited” Berlin and Paris several times and never started any conflicts.
My thanks go to you Ken for this unexpected debate and to Mr. Saker for providing space.
If time permits you there are some good /illustrating/, movies worth to see. All available free on you tube.
Vsichni dobri rodaci. It is good to know ,that the communists vere different at 1930,1939,1945,1948,1953,1956,1967-70. Almost all anticom.do not understand that.
And they were duly defeated by the victory over the communism.
Perlicky na dne. Part of this movie called Automat svet. Done by very talented and crazy woman Chytilova about the /very/crazy Slavs .
Sklapni a zastrel mne. Just entertaining and done by the englishman ,the grotesque piece about those present rude czech people and double murder done by dumplings!!
/The very basic food stuff/. This englishman still wander about streets of Prague as many others who declared, that they can not create anything without living there..
This town is so magic and so kitsch..I apologize.
I am not in the habit to recommend anything.
Dear Ken,
Sadly, I’m not much of a writer. To those that have the talent to write so eloquently, my utmost respect and admiration. Nonetheless, I’ll write from the heart and hopefully my words will resonate with some. Even the most brutal of enemy merits respect for their honesty. Far more than righteous hypocrites, who demand obedience as they reveal their lack of knowledge and humanity.
Ken Leslie, Your soul is pure. Never be dissuaded by those who purposely seek to distort your words and have the audacity to question your motives. You exhibit far greater compassion and understanding for the plight of righteous Catholic believers, than those who seemingly look to only chastise.
I guess it’s more important to self validate and produce quite nefarious and misleading rebuttals, tugging on the heartstrings. ( call them straw man arguments, if you’d prefer). This seems paramount to them. I guess to some it’s more important than commenting on the continuing atrocities perpetrated by those fostering this monstrous, hidden evil. Perhaps they’d be better off taking a gander in the mirror? But I doubt that will ever happen. God forbid you try to awaken, educate and inspire those who’ve been on the receiving end.
In case I haven’t been crystal clear, I most definitely have skin in this game. That does not preclude me from showing a bit of sympathy for many others suffering throughout the world. My ethos and path are guided by the bravery, honor, humility and sacrifice of my ancestors. To their own detriment, they’ve always immediately forgave and welcomed their executioners to live peacefully among them. Fight in defense. Only avenge the unjustly fallen. Sadly, I’d have to bow my head in shame, if I’m ever deemed worthy of meeting them in the heavenly kingdom.
And surely my reverence for my ancestors doesn’t mean that I don’t recognize the self inflicted wounds and character flaws in my people and other Slavs , which preclude a quicker revival and restoration of nation- states worthy of representing their people. The fact that our holicide is hidden and unknown to most, is a testament to our prideful, forgiving and accepting nature.
Orthodox Slavs usually point the fingers at ourselves before asking for even the slightest bit of sympathy or acknowledgement. What a bunch of savages and whiners, huh? I wish that my parents and grandparents had shown me the enlightened path, of love and forgiveness, like those making you out to be a Protestant heathen, attacking the goodness of any and all Catholics (sarcasm? oh you betcha) Well let me teach those sanctimonious voices a thing or two about Christian love and forgiveness, while they fail to even acknowledge, with one sentence, the centuries of persecution of innocents, by the Vatican and their insidious executioners.
My father, as a young boy was literally hunted in the forest by the local Catholic friar and his flock. From infancy , my late mother endured countless bombings and starvation, at the hands of Vatican sponsored Nazis and “allies” alike. Instead of hatred or prejudice towards the prodigies of these tormentors, they instilled in their children knowledge, perspective and forgiveness. They didn’t only preach peace, they lived it.
My parents raised my sister and I to be loyal Americans. We were always taught to appreciate the opportunity provided to our family. My sister and I were both sent to Jesuit run schools. Sis even attended Jesuit university.
My grandparents and parents still welcomed all descendants of these sadistic butchers into our home. For decades, their closest friends (my uncle Gustav and Aunt Eva )were Germans, from Serbia, whose parents turned on their neighbors and joined in the WWII genocide of Serbs). In fact, most of my Mother’s closest confidants were either of German or Croatian extraction. Incredible women, who endured ridicule and assault by family members, for acknowledging sins past and protesting alongside Serbs throughout the U.S and Canada. During one of these peaceful protests, my teta Zorka was pushed to the ground and spit on by her own niece.
Enough? Nope! Let me conclude by sharing the fact that for more than two decades my family rented (at half the market price) our second and third floor units to nuns from Loyola University (we owned a three flat and lived on the first floor). For more than a decade we rented the home next door to 6 Jesuit priests from Loyola university. I’ll never forget my father and I doing yard work next door when the awesome Father Jerry came riding up shirtless on his bike inquiring about the house for rent. I loved Father Jerry and even attended more than several Christmas and Easter masses, he presided over. That young guy on his bike, became the head Jesuit of Loyola University, in Chicago.
How’s that for a bit of nuance? No anger here, boys and girls. Keep trying to purposely misrepresent Ken’s message and I’ll keep coming to point out how nonsensical your misguided attacks truly are. Peace, love and kindness to all!
Dear Stasia,
I also have some wonderful news for you. After a 500-year occupation, our brothers and sisters from the Philippines convert from RC to Orthodoxy – together with their bishop and priests! Miracle! How could this have happened??? Not a knife in sight!
https://youtu.be/6w65XESndvY
There is nothing utopian about discussing customs and traditions that are alive to this day and haven’t been fully suppressed by Christianity after all that time – and they are the same from Leipzig to Kamchatka. Aren’t you at least a little bit intrigued?
Russia? Russia can do whatever it likes but it remains the gathering point for all Slavs and their magnetic North Pole. It’s how it is.
Appreciate your efforts and passion. It’s educating and illuminates the mind, even more so, after living through a regular barrage of anti Serbian and Russian disinformation.
As a Muslim your helping clear the mist which many from my own community have been affected with and beguiled. I think you have at least put a seed of purpose in this person to cultivate some appreciation for the Slav peoples, particularly, Serbian and Russian. May they be strengthened, protected and get their justice.
A heads up for mentioning the ‘enigma’ that is, In Sheikh Imran Hosein.
Regards
Dear Abdullah,
Thank you – it is great to have you here – your perspective is very welcome. There is one interesting detail that is often forgotten and perhaps some of our Serb readers can contribute. Many great Muslim leaders in the Balkans knew very well that they were Serb, respected their roots and even called themselves Serb nationalists. The Young Bosnia movement brought together Serb, Muslim, Croat and Slovene youths whose aim was to liberate the Southern Slavs from the Habsburg yoke. Many famous names such as Mehmed Mehmedbasic and Mustafa Golubic the famous secret agent and revolutionary. They called themselves “Serbs of the Mohammedan faith”. They are all part of a rich history and remembered with piety.
Professor Salih Selimovic: We Moslems are Serbs and we speak Serb.
http://web-tribune.com/spektar/salih-selimovic-istoricar-mi-muslimani-smo-srbi-i-govorimo-srpski-jezik
It is not about nationalism but about quashing supra-national predatory ideologies that are harming ordinary people around the world. These ideologies are over-represented in Western Christianity and some forms of political Islam. I hope that like myself, true Muslims see a danger in both.
Thank you
The man who won the popular vote of the Bosnian Muslims was Fikret Abdic, a Muslim who was looking for economic, political and military cooperation with Serbia. He was quickly run out of town, and indicted for “war crimes”.
The US- Saudi-backed warmongerers Alija Izetbegovic and Ejup Ganic then seized power in Sarajevo and the Muslims under their leadership were forced into a Croato-Muslim political union.
Absolutely! And I know a bit about that war.
The muslims allowed themselves to be on the side of fascism once again by following bloodthirsty ideologues such as a Young Muslim and SS Handtschar volunteer Alija “There can be no peace” Izetbegovic (whose family was originally Serb).
Their choice – they can either side with Rum or go to their DOOM.
The example of Sheikh Imran shows that ultimately, humanity and wisdom transcend religious denomination.
Dear Ken Leslie,
The idea is worth pursuing, worth documenting, worth reviving, and worth archiving all at the same time for the memory of the Slav peoples.
The first time I bought a Slav doll toy from Russian smugglers for my baby daughter, I remember turning it round and round in my hands. The Slavic features were so distinctively different, like the little girl in Masha and the Bear.
Regards
Noel Monteiro
Dea Noel,
Thank you very much – I can only agree with you.
And I do watch Masha occasionally. Note episode 1 in series 1 in which there is a train car on a siding behind Bear’s house. The white lettering says Moskva – Alaska or similar. First-class trolling and a wonderful children’s story – running counter to the degenerate propaganda of the West.
Свободы сеятель пустынный,
Я вышел рано, до звезды;

Desert sower of freedom,
I went out early, before the star;
With a pure and innocent hand
Into the enslaved reins
Threw a life-giving seed –
But I only lost time
Good thoughts and works …
Graze, peaceful peoples!
You will not be awakened by a cry of honor.
Why do the flocks need the gifts of freedom?
They must be cut or trimmed.
Their inheritance from generation to generation
A yoke with rattles and a whip.
Alexander Sergeevitch Pushkin (the Russian Genius, much misunderstood elsewhere, obviously).
Ken, your attempt to awaken “Slavs” to their common history, common enemies and common destiny is noble and much needed.
But…
Russia (even though it has itself to blame for many events of the past) has so many knives in its back from her Slavic “brethren”, I agree with Anonymous – it is hard to expect that it will ever again try to drive a pan-slavic movement of any kind and on any level.
Until Eastern Europe gets rid of McDonalds and with it any and all influence of the “West” (including the church of the Roman Empire), kids in Prague, Pristina, Sofia, Belgrade, Kiev, Minsk, etc.etc. will be much more interested in going to a mall than to a temple.
Once “Slavs” decided to teach History to their young via multiple-“choices” given by Soros, Славянская Духовность, even the delicate remnants of it, faded away under consumerism and “human values”.
Common today is a hamburger…
Dear MJagger,
You are right and there will be no “Slavia” for the foreseeable future. However, that was not the point anyway. One can only do their best and it would be sheer arrogance for me to claim that my article is somehow going to move mountains. It won’t but what it might do is to cause a couple of imperceptible cracks in the granite mass of lies. If people keep chipping away…
Geology is the study of pressure – and time (Shawshank Redemption).
Thank you!
It must be acknowledged that Russia never tried to ‘drive a pan-slavic movement’ and resisted the siren calls of what one of her Ministers called ‘Slavophile onanism’. Her international policy was based on different premises, the “Concert of Europe” which she succeeded to impose and conduct for a while after the temporary defeat of the Revolutionary/Napoleonic Europe. Of course protection of Orthodoxy and Orthodox peoples was part of Concert.
The panslavic movement might have been a mistake but jesuitical attempts to weaken Russia should not be mistaken for a genuine sense of kinship among many Slavs.
Whether Russia decides to do something about it, who knows. What is becoming clear is that Russia cannot keep retreating and compressing under the blows of its enemies. There has to come a time when it starts to punch back (it is not doing that). The Slavic question can be a very powerful weapon in that struggle. This is why all the enemies are screeching at the very mention of it.
If the (dubious) ‘Slavic question’ might (just might) become a ‘very powerful weapon’ it is incumbent on the ‘Slavs’ to do something about it and not to wait for Russia to do it for them. This was clearly expressed by Lavrov in the interview that was was published on this very site:
“We want everything that has been created by nations and civilisations to be respected. We believe nobody should impose any orders on anyone, so that nothing like what has now happened in Hollywood takes place on a global scale. We think nobody should encroach on the right of each nation to have its historical traditions and moral roots. And we see attempts to encroach upon them”. He refers to the ‘nations’ as exist today.
That was the policy of Russia at least since it put in place the ‘Concert of Europe’, aka the ‘Holy Alliance’ against the anti-Christian Revolution which tried its hand on Russia (1812). We know that the Revolution continued unabated and Russia became again the target. The ‘Panslavic’ movement born in the turmoil of the 1848 revolutions which were becoming increasingly ‘nationalistic’, was squarely anti-Russian and advocating autonomy of the Slav lands within the framework of Austrian (Habsburg) monarchy (all its representative personalities were Catholics). Only a few Austro-Slavs put their hopes in Russia (because they were Orthodox), but that furnished the pretext for Austria and the nascent Germany to denounce the ‘Russian peril’ to cover their own designs on Russia and the Balkans. They became warm supporters of the integrity of the Ottoman Empire.
Actually at present there is no ‘Slavic question’. There are nations and civilizations and international relations between them. ‘Europe’ remained hostile to Russia and tries by all means to goad her into acts that can be denounced as an ‘aggression’ against the ‘free world’ and infringement of international law. But Russian politicians are not ‘Pavlov’s dogs’. They know that all the barking of the ‘free world’ is just that, barking. Russia is a great power and not an ‘aspiring’ one which grovels to the ‘West’ to be ‘accepted. ‘The dogs bark, but the caravan moves on’.
Dear Anon,
You make a couple of very good points although I totally disagree with your contention that there is no Slav question. The holocide created facts on the ground but we are not bound by any laws to consider these facts final. The fragmentation has been appalling and something needs to be done to reverse that.
Having said that, my scant knowledge of Western panslavism supports your view. It was mainly an anti-Russian ruse. It doesn’t have to be. This is why political Catholicism has to be neutralised first.
Thank you
There is no “Slavic question”. There are nations and civilisations…
There is no “Indian question”. There are tribes and reservations…
Do you recognise the Holocide of the Slavs/Native Europeans? If yes, we can continue.
I do not recognize the underlying suggestion that the ‘native’ pagan Europeans have been ‘holocided’ by the ‘Abrahamic religion’, ‘organized religion’ (code words for Christianity and the Church). This is the theme ventilated by the ‘White nationalists’. That Christianization was a ‘cultural genocide’ and not a progress in civilization. The ‘natives’ were all too happy to massacre each others. Replacing the ‘Germans’ as the ‘natives’ with the ‘Slavs’ doesn’t change anything. The history of Europe is not the ‘struggle between Teutons and Slavs’ of the Pan-Germanist and Nazi propaganda relayed by the Anglo-Zionist ‘Empire’. History of Europe is one of migrations, acculturations and assimilations of different ethno-lingvistc-cultural ‘families’. ‘Latins’, Celts, Slavs, Germanics, Greeks are all ‘native’ Europeans who assimilated each of them various non-European ethnies (Magyars, Bulgarians, Turks).
Slavs, Germans, and indeed most Europeans are descended from the same prehistoric mammoth hunters. The R1b and R1a haplogroups were close relatives and neighbours in Central Asia who dispersed across the Old World in the early Bronze Age.
The Ancient North Eurasians were ancestors to the Siberian peoples, the American Indians and the Indo-Europeans. So when modern European migrants encountered the American Indians they were actually meeting distant cousins who had preserved much of their once shared ancestral culture.
https://brilliantmaps.com/europe-dna-borders/
Thank you, Hajduk,
Not and expert but I believe you. How would you relate this finding to the topic?
Dear Hajduk,
I will save further discussions for a time when Slavic origins need to be clearly defined. That’s not central to Ken’s thesis for now. But it will be essential and important for all Slav descendants to understand that their ancestors were indeed the native peoples of Europe. For now, I’ll just give a brief prehistoric introduction necessary to refute erroneous claims.
The Iron Age? From Central Asia? Need to go back a little further, my friend. There’s already verified discovery of organized civilizations in the lower Danube region, in the Neolithic age (Stone Age).
Since your screen name is deserving of the utmost respect and reverence, I humbly ask that you start to do a little more research and do not focus on genetic maps that deal little with archeological fact, trying to ascribe Slav origins and thus other Europeans to Central Asia.
All recent archeological discoveries and genetic dating, identifies the lower Danubian region as the cradle of European and other civilizations. Even mainstream fabricators can no longer deny this fact with the monumental archeological discovery of the Lepenski Vir civilization, in 1965 (technically 1960), located in modern day Serbia.
Artifacts and skeletal remains unearthed at the Lepinski Vir site, verify that this civilization began shortly after 10,000 (B.C.). Long before it’s discovery in 1965, local archeologists hypothesized that the Vinca civilization, which started around 5,700 B.C, (early Bronze Age) descended from an even older civilization and culture, on the same piece of land, and whose modern day descendants still carry the genetics and cultural traits of these prehistoric civilizations.
Carbon dating, has verified that these prehistoric, proto-Slav/Serb civilizations were well versed in metallurgy and predate any similar metal working civilizations found in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Scientific dating has confirmed that said metal works, used deposits indigenous to present day Eastern Serbia.
There’s an excellent YouTube channel , Serbija Global, which quite extensively, through archeological evidence, linguists, etymology and genetic mapping, reconstructs this ancient Neolithic civilization. It quite easily dispels the completely erroneous 16th, 17th, 18th,19th century Vatican/Germanic claims that Slavs began to settle in Europe around the 6th century A.D. It also dispels any doubts of the origins of the proto-slavic/Serb language.
Below are links to a couple of videos, with English captions, for those interested in beginning to examine the true origins of European civilization and language:

Kindest regards and happy learning!
Excellent, thank you! This is the way to fight the Austro-German lie factory (which has lot of support in Britain and the rest of the Reich).
Roman Catholic Church in the Slav lands needs to be replaced by national Catholic Churches which retain the western rite and symbolism while being independent of Rome and focussed on the pastoral needs of their flocks.
– Ken Leslie
Finally Ken Leslie comes out about the real objective he is going for! Breaking up the Catholic Church under the humanitarian guise of uniting the Serbs.
Why? Mr Leslie believes that the British and the Americans are not the power center of the West they are merely pawns following orders from the Jesuits.
I kid you not!! Read his other articles!!
Now two scholars which I linked to before Caroll Quigley , who wrote Tragedy and Hope (using exclusive access to archives of the Council of Foreign Relations) and Anthony C Sutton who wrote various books using the archives of the US State department has shown that the current NWO is essentially Anglo Saxon. Matthew Ehret another great writer has shown that the British are in full control.
Anthony Sutton showed how Wall Street financed both the Nazis and the Bolsheviks
The Re-unification of Italy gave the Vatican a death blow from which they have never recovered. How so? By re-unifying Italy they removed all temporal power from the Vatican. ALL! With the Re-Unification of Italy the Papal States were dissolved.
As Stalin famously said “How many divisions does the Pope have ? “
Dear Down South,
If the Vatican has no power, why such hysterical screams if I only suggest that it be dealt with in the same way in which it has dealt with the Orthodox Churches – fragmenting them and making new ones (Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia).
Of course the Vatican is hugely powerful – a Jesuit at the head of the UN, a bloody Jesuit at the head of the EU, a Jesuit will be next German chancellor, Trump was a Jesuit pupil, Trudeau??? The bloody Nazi Freeland? The Polish potato-head kamikaze trolls? Croats, Vukrops, Slovaks and the whole Eastern Europe is being subverted by the Vatican.
So please stop with the “ah, poor me” schtick (there is another group famous for it) and own the horrible criminality of your fake Church.
Caroll Quiqley? The Jesuit who not once mentions his masters and blames everything on the Jews? And I’ve read at least one of his excremental products.
The moron Sutton was the old version of Bannon blaming the Russians for stealing US technology.
Please stay away – you are just embarrassing yourself.
“Please stay away – you are just embarrassing yourself.”
Well, IMO this comment does not embarrass the original commenter but instead, Ken Leslie.
“Stay away” from where? This blog? Or “my thread”?
I thought blog rules are not only, don’t insult the writer of the article, but also not those who comment on the articles.
Katherine
Mod: Yes indeed both writers and commenters should be respected..but mods are humans and err when judging a comment written in anger
With due respect, why do you feel competent to judge? Who gave you the authority?
Where were you when I was insulted?
I meant “from my thread”.
Do you have anything to contribute or just are intent on breaking up discussions with irrelevances?
The Pope has the EU PLUS the USA (go and count the number of Catholic generals and admirals in the US military). Chiefs of British and German intelligence? Roman Catholics. He is doing pretty well despite his calls for peace blah blah.
Ken, I can see you are more than capable of swatting away the low-brow attacks and Vatican defenders here.
Regarding your comment that the the Vatican has the support of the EU and USA, this certainly applies to funding. Funds from the Ford Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation resuscitated the Fourth Reich (aka EU) and the Vatican after WWII.
This has been documented in the excellent book written by French politician and Catholic aristocrat Philippe de Villiers: “Le fil du mensonge” (Full title is “J”ai tiré sur le fil du mensonge et tout et venu”) The book even contains the original source documents and letters!
The Ford Foundation recently caused some embarrassment to the Vatican as they are pro-Abortion:
https://forums.catholic.com/t/vatican-downplays-funding-from-pro-abortion-ford-foundation-as-tensions-rise-in-amazon-synod/572105
There was also a scandal with the Rockefeller foundation supports as they are pro LGBT…
https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/pro-abortion-rockefeller-foundation-sponsors-vatican-gabfest
Thank you, Serbian Girl,
Great stuff. As regards The Holy Reich Mark II I am planning to write a serial which will deal with some of this.
One thing is clear – as long as a German Europe exists, there can be no freedom and prosperity for the Slavs.
Keep swatting!
Good news for you, Bob Lee Swagger! The legacy of the empire-mourning idiot Sutton is alive and well.
The phat moron puppet of deep Zion Drumpf claims that Russia stole the hypersonic technology from Obama.
Here is another Catholic-led, CIA-funded Cold-War front against Russia and China.
Don’t be confused by the token presence of “Orthodox” quislings – what matters is that Russia and Serbia are not in it.

Here is the latest scandal which amplifies the need for Russia to do something beyond firing off totally ineffective diplomatic queries and complaints.
Here we have a Schmitt wearing a military uniform of the premier Western power while inspecting Ukrainian Nazi Catholic quislings deep inside the borders of the Russian Empire/Soviet Union 80 years after his grandfather was doing the same.

I think that the Orthodox civilisation looks more vital and efficient.
Dear Dule,
Perhaps although I have my doubts. Once the Slavdom is pried away from the cold not-quite-dead hand of the Vatican, religion becomes more of a personal matter (as it should be). Nevertheless, it would be nice to hear more about this. Fire away.
Hey Ken.
Cyberland is not any more able to sway people toward peace and tolerance of opposing ideas than the church religions are. I would to God that we all spake the same things. But divisions and strife will not cease till all is revealed in it’s time. The greatest threat to humanity in the present age is not politics. No. It is indeed the warmongerers who are always looking for a justifiable reason to blow someone or something up. The whole world would benefit if everyone in it just dropped dead. It is painfully obvious to me that any man who cannot tolerate his neighbours should examine himself, before raising a hand against him. When Rome decided to take God out of picture and replace grace with a conquering mandate, they set the pace for all the whore churches that would follow. I just look at the history. There are still many Lambs to slaughter, for their own transgressions. Should the Real Christ suddenly appear in the clouds with great glory, the NATO forces would war against Him. Not an iota of doubt on that.
Dear Anonymous,
You put it better than I could.
The great Dostoevsky showed that Jesus Christ would be persecuted and killed today by his followers.
Thank you.
One of my favorite works was Dostoevsky’s ”The Idiot”, which alluded to that insight, and explicitly so in ”The Brothers Karamazov”.in the famous story within the story of Ivan Karamazov’s ‘Legend of the Grand Inquisitor’. When I first read Dostoevsky I was still a Latin, and was taken aback by his attitude towards the Roman Church. Now I understand.
Dostoevsky exposed his convictions in plain language, before putting them in his personages’ mouths:
“Why, Roman Catholicism is known to have made even sharper turns: once upon a time, when this was necessary, it did not hesitate to sell Christ in exchange for mundane power. Having proclaimed the dogma that ”Christianity cannot survive on earth without the earthly power of the Pope,” it thereby had proclaimed a new Christ, not like the former one, but one who had been seduced by the third temptation of the devil -the temptation of the kingdoms of the world: “All these things will I give thee if thou wilt fall and worship me!”
Yes, it was in reality all downhill for the survival of Orthodoxy in the West when the Bishops of Rome, Patriarch of the West, decided to become a temporal as well as spiritual ruler with the ”Donation of Pepin” in 756 AD, and it was all but over after the formal Schism in 1054 AD. Funny that the Supernova in the Crab Nebula happened that year, like a sign of a dying light…
Dear Mr. Leslie,
concerning your:
“Discussing the project of repatriation of the Slavs to their native lands in Northern Germany and the Baltics. Making contact with Die Linke in Germany and starting a dialogue about the holocide of the Slavs and how this might be remedied.”
I have to correct you. During the times Germany existed as a state no Slavish population has been displaced from this nation (*) which need to be repatriated. The Sorbs, the Wends all the Germans with Polish etc. roots are full German citizens with all their rights and obligations. They are fully assimilated since more than a hundred years and cultivate their cultural heritage. If it would be otherwise the strenuous German social warrior scene always eager to find some more suppressed group were not able to be ignored.
And a footnote to your:
“Look, you are full of passion when discussing the plight of the Palestinians or Yemenis or Iraqis. And I support you 100%. But you are completely and shamefully silent when discussing a much larger and more pernicious holocide which happened in the middle of Europe more than a thousand years ago and is ongoing as we speak.”
Its totally right to be concerned with the ongoing repression but it is fatuous trying to change the past. And where is a holocide of the Slavs ongoing today? If you mean the preparations of war of NATO you are right and every peace loving individual is on your side but in my view these are made for economical and imperial reasons and not as a a way to genocide.
(*) unlike more than 10 million Germans after WWII, by the way, and which have surrendered their right to be repatriated (Ostverträge).
Dear Mr. Leslie,
I forgot: Don’t have any illusions about Die Linke. As good socialists they are as rabid internationalists as their brethren the neocons only with the fantasy of the “avant-garde of the proletariat” at the helm whereas the the neocons know that they will be the winner. They will be as eager to destroy Germany (as all other European nations, Slavs, Germanic, Roman alike) as you but they will ignore the Slavs as had the communist order done in the past.
Dear Ken. I’m learning much from your scribbling so, please, continue. I know it’s a while since this article of yours was posted, and maybe you are no longer checking comments. But, I have a request. I am reading “The Holy Roman Empire” by Peter H Wilson. I struggled to page 100 where I read: “Jews made significant contributions to Carolingian artistic and commercial development, particularly through their roles as intermediaries in selling captive Slavs as slave soldiers to Iberian Muslim armies.” Only an Oxford don would appreciate such a pursuit as being artistic. So, please, can you recommend better sources for a general history of the Holy Roman Empire? Best wishes.
Simon
Dear Simon,
Sorry for the delay. Honestly? I would describe 90% of what passes for history in the West today as scribbling. Particularly disgusting are Russian and Slav Sorosian “historians” who try to emulate various Orlandos, Beevors and other scribblers.
There is no royal road to knowledge. Read as much as you can and triangulate. Soon, you will develop a reliable b……ometer which will guide you through the morass.
You have already discovered one clanger–that’s good going.
ok…thanks. No offence intended in using the word “scribbling”. For me, scribbling has a creative sense not captured by the OED. Best wishes.
Hi,
None taken!
You’ve isolated the source of trouble though.
