The Western media has launched a volley of sycophantic praise of Trump’s victory in the great American raid on a Syrian airport, which produced new dead, though fewer than what is now routinely accepted as a lugubrious normal.
Nevertheless, it seems that the US has dropped the pretense and decided to intervene directly in the Syrian conflict. A conflict it wanted and prepared, while hiding behind the mask of a civil war.
The astonished world now asks, is Trump a Coca-Cola cow-boy, is Trump a prisoner of a cabal that forces him to obey or be impeached, is Trump a supreme Machiavel, waging war and sacrificing a few dozens Syrians (military and civilians, who cares?) to consolidate his apparently waning power? Considering that war is the only factor bonding the will of the American “people,” or at least of those claiming to represent it.
For sure, the litany of imbecilic praise of Trump by the Western media, celebrates the conversion of a Trump into a Hillary and the consequent victory of Trillary.
Sometimes what history teaches us can be a curse, for it increases the anger at the hypocrisy dominant in the tragedies, now almost routine, caused by the geopolitical rogue. Including indignation on command for massacres of civilians attributed to others, while remaining dumb and silent at those of its own making.
The warped Western narrative on Syria matches the totally missing narrative on Yemen, for there the holocaust makers are the Saudis, supplied by the British and the Americans. And all this to establish an assumed preeminence of morality by the US and its “coalition of the puppets.”
Their barbaric invasions may kill millions, but when some particularly sub-human act is exposed, it is always a mistake, a fatality – though those who expose it can be severely punished (e.g. Bradley Manning).
The opponents, instead, always act intentionally, even when what they are alleged to have done goes against their interest – as clearly is the case with the event in question.
During the new US Secretary of State Tillerson’s visit to Moscow, Lavrov politely reminded him of some, quite recent US-invented narratives to justify wars. Tillerson answered sincerely, “Let’s not look at the past.” Translation, if we lied in the past it does not matter because we shouldn’t remember, and if we do not remember it follows that we didn’t lie. It’s pure Orwell, though I surmise that Tillerson does not know (or remember…).
As for the missile attack on Syria, it seems that, militarily, apart from the killings, it could hardly be considered a success. Apparently the airport was quickly back in operation and, allegedly, of the 59 missiles launched, only 23 reached the target.
But the following very short video is meaningful. It shows an MSNBC puppet presenter ecstatic at the view of the US missiles being launched. He defines them as “something beautiful,” in utter disregard of the deaths the missiles caused. https://youtu.be/wcbYM_Rdm0o
“Beauty” that, by extension, would also apply to the crashing towers of 9/11 – if the goon in question had had the decency to think about it.
Yet, we must seek in this mode of thought the root of the collective evil. It is an evil too diffused to be accidental and too deep to be individual.
Is there concern about the death of civilians? No, it is despotism in the name of freedom, and fanaticism in the name of reason. A will to believe the unbelievable, an upside-down revolution, where the enemies are those guilty of existing outside the scheme of worldwide dominance by the exceptional nation.
It’s XXI century Jacobinism, and the parallel with the French Revolution is not superficial. Between 1793 and 1794 the Jacobins delivered terror to France in the name of freedom and acted with great un-reason in the name of reason.
Today the terror is unleashed on foreign unbelievers – so far. Though the “National Security” machine has more than a superficial resemblance to the Jacobins’ “Committees of Public Safety.” Like them, the American Jacobins claim to have evidence of the enemy’s crimes but cannot disclose it for “public safety.”
Even the recent “Fake News” phenomenon follows a similar Jacobin script. Americans are told that information delivered by proscribed media channels is false. It is a small but remarkable step towards banning those who question the orthodoxy of the thought-unique, and the value of that great system of counter-truth, referred to as neo-liberal ideology.
Hopefully, we are still far from Erdogan’s mode of government, but the trail has been officially inaugurated. Though some feel that time is running out, and the irreparable and the unimaginable lay around the corner.
Still, let’s for a moment forget (following Tillerson’s advice), the colossal US lies of recent yesterdays, and only consider the claims that “Assad did it” versus the claims that “Assad did not.”
Lacking factual proof, I rely on physiognomy and follow the theory (and the practice) of the Swiss Abbot Johann Kaspar Lavater. Who, in the 18th century and working at it for a lifetime, produced an enormous 5-volume manual, containing the drawings of 6,800 facial expressions. He concluded that they accurately describe all the possible character and character traits of any living man.
Applying Lavater’s method, Assad is more credible than Trump and, for that matter, than the last 6 US presidents. Even compounding their total credibility, and excluding macroscopic dishonorable episodes, such as Clinton’s “I never had sex with that woman” declaration. made without a blush of shame, in front of a public of millions, mesmerized by sex, scandals and sordidness.
Even the pleasantly plump president of North Korea appears inherently more credible than, for example, the sorry figure of the so-called US representative at the UN. A despicable woman with the soul of an excrement and who “is not worth the dust that the rude wind blows in her face.”
I watched several interviews given by Assad to the press. As readers will know, he is a physician, specialized in ophthalmology. He speaks to the journalist and answers his/her questions as a physician would respond to the questions of a patient. There isn’t the slightest pretense or affectation of authority. It is his demeanor that conveys authority. He meets the eye of the interviewer, while instinctively avoiding any gesture or expression that suggests an assertion of authority, and consequent intimidation. At the end of the interview, he thanks the journalist and wishes him well, in the same way a physician would end a visit with a patient.
From what we know of his life, Assad does not need to be president to have a job. I would surmise that Syria needs him more than he needs Syria. And in more than one interview, he stated that if the next elections produce another president, he will dutifully resign.
While…. on the other side of the pond, the few weeks of Trumps in office have been sufficient to shatter the fantasy, or the fancy, of those who believed that a billionaire of questionable background would fracture the fetish of the exceptional nation, and become the Che Guevara of a reformed country.
The fetish is alive and well – as is the prospect of billions in profits deriving from the smoke of bombs, missiles, guns, tanks, planes, drones and sundry other tools of veritable mass destruction.
It does not matter that logic and common sense contradict the official narrative of the attack on Syria, as a rock falling on an instrument of precision and crushing it. The magnitude of the lie is sufficient, by itself, to show the magnitude of the interests that the lie is meant to protect.
The event is an occasion to remember the prophetic words of the despicable, diabolic and dishonored Karl Rove, second in command to Bush Jr., when attempting to pass for true an uncontestable lie, “We create our own reality.”
Now, though indignation is the natural response to the latest example of American exceptionalism, indignation is the enemy of curiosity. For the ordinary history of specific events produces explanations, but only curiosity about the complete history of a nation produces a verdict.
In the instance, we may start with the declaration of independence, whereby all men are created equal, less the slaves because they were not human, the Indians because they were not Europeans, and the poor because they were not rich.
Then, in our curious search, we can add as reminders,
— The Shay rebellion that drowned in blood those who had actually fought the battles of the revolution and were made paupers after the continental dollar was declared worthless.
–The War of 1812, unsuccessful but intended to bring democracy to Canada by invading and annexing it.
— The extermination of the Indian nation.
— The Mexican war to annex the West (and Mexico, were it not that Mexico had abolished slavery and re-introducing it was deemed too difficult).
— The civil war begun to prevent a secession, but in the middle of which it was discovered to be fought to abolish slavery.
— The war against Spain to annex Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines, justified by the false-flag attack on the steamship Maine.
— The bankers’ war, that is the US participation in WW1 against Germany, a nation that had absolutely no claim against the US, nor ever even hinted at antagonistic postures.
— Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Dresden**
— Korea and Vietnam
— Guatemala, Nicaragua, Granada, Panama.
— Since the 80s, the “fourth generation” warfare, launched in Yugoslavia, but whose formal baptism was 9/11, the mother of all false-flags.
— The destruction of Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and (for all intents and purposes) of Syria
— The creation of ISIS, the first and best Orwellian enemy in human history
— etc.
History’s verdict declares itself. Even so, we may recover our cool when we will succeed in understanding the automatism with which the laws of the social machine operate.
When we will understand which selection and force-training the actors of the crimes were subjected to. For the Bushes, the Clintons, the Obamas and the Trumps are the mechanical product of a collective operation begun long ago.
We may then, perhaps, cease to weigh the social product (American actions and policies) with the same scale with which we measure individual beings.
Then we will realize that we must understand more than we know already or think necessary to know. To understand in order to deplore, though maybe not to curse. A tall order when witnessing the events as they unfold.
For there is an unruly part of the soul, which refuses to heed all counsels and considerations – in the instance, to deplore but not to curse. It observes the crimes engineered by the current wretched few, and can hardly refrain from cursing.
They are crimes committed in the name of an abstract fiction called “the people.” For let there be no illusion – the people are great until they remain an abstraction. But the concrete individual, real though contributing to the abstraction, is shit.
Which brings to mind the reaction of a character in the Tempest, when he meets with the monster Caliban, “I do smell all horse-piss; at which my nose is in great indignation.”
Except that here we are not dealing with an individual Caliban-style monster, but with the evil soul of evil humans, pretending to represent the will of an abstract “people.”
** The use of aviation as a means to provoke terror was first foretold during World War I by an Italian general. But another school of thought eventually prevailed – namely that fighter planes would neutralize the large and less maneuverable bombers.
This had a historically important consequence. The Americans and the British built their air-force based on bombers rather than on fighter planes. With the expressed purpose (at least in the mind of Churchill), to use them both for tactical bombing and for the mass elimination of people – “to depress their morale” were the terms used. Those interested may watch the (2) videos on the destruction of Dresden, carried out two months before the end of WW2, which killed 135,000 civilians, almost twice as many as at Hiroshima (https://youtu.be/_V8aV5l5f9k part 1 and https://youtu.be/0BQL9nkr_SM part 2).
Whereas the Germans, the Italians, the Japanese and the Russians were late in building large bombers with extended range. They only had small bombers, for tactical short-range use. Germany was too late in building a large bomber. When they finally did, it was not used for military purposes.
Thanks to an Italian journalist I am also reminded of an episode at the end of WW2. Near Milan there is a monument to the martyr children of a little town named Gorla.
The allied commander of the raid had made a mistake in calculating the route, and found himself off course, with the bombs still in the bay. Rather than waiting to drop them when he was at sea or in a non-populated area he dropped them on the town, hitting an elementary school and killing 184 children.

As Milgram demonstrated, nearly all people will, at the firm request of an implacable authority figure, “push the button” on the victim they do not know personally, even if they hear the cries of agony from that victim.
Zimbardo showed how easily otherwise psychologically indistinguishable people will assume the roles of uniformed-thug and cowering-victim randomly assigned by an authoritarian system.
Bernays showed how to industrialize control the public’s mind set to ignore such illegitimate authority actions, or accept same as necessary when they cannot be hidden from public view.
This is human evil defined. Not some BS relativist religion-based morality that creates/trades-on artificial divisions for illegitimate authority to exploit. The originating faces of this evil are Rothschild, Soros, Rockefellers, Duponts, Carnegies, Koch, popes… you get the idea. The Bushes, Clintons, Trumps, Kennedys Trudeaus, Camerons, Merkels of the world would not be able to do the evil they do if the 0.001% were not illegitimately, generationally encouraging them to “push the button” on the rest of us.
Trump just failed the Milgram experiment, pushed the button on innocent Syrians, Iraqis and Yemenis at the illegitimate authority behest of his implacable Zionist/MIIC authority-figure advisers/handlers.
Why should the US/NATO/EU public expect any less of the already implemented Stanford Prison Experiment writ large from their leaders?
First they came for…
A complement to the Milgram experiment.
Between the two of them you can understand the shallowness of Deep State psychology.

As Milgram demonstrated, nearly all people will, at the firm request of an implacable authority figure, “push the button” on the victim they do not know personally, even if they hear the cries of agony from that victim.
I suppose now that everyone of average intelligence and above is a full blown conspiracy theorist, we can divide the world into 2 types: chickens**t coolaborators and those of us who will not go along. I don’t absolve myself completely but I do know the score.
Properly appraised, the vast majority of people will not push the button, unless of course, responsibility is taken from them, in a context where they believe they are powerless. Scientists, jounalists, academics and sayanim trolls, to name but a few, all play the role of telling the children who will not grow up, it’s ok, it’s not your fault.
Well, no, sorry. It is your fault. You the collaborators who engage in overt and covert apologia for pure evil.
Time to up grow boys and girls.
What Milgram actually demonstrated is what young Yalies would do, volunteer psyche stidents at that, and we know what sort of people generally go to Yale. Most people I’ve known would have told old Milgram to stuff it, and I’ll guess a lot of people I have known would have done the same. Preselected participants can throw off results significantly.
Even the videos like ‘look how stupid people are’, like from Mark Dice, don’t reveal how many people ignored him, or knew what they were saying — he doesn’t give statistics, after all, and he’s out to prove his own case.
I get a fair number of these polling calls, as well as scams and sales people, and I always hang up. Maybe most people do?
Even with facebook members, as I was discussing with Uncle Bob the other day — I don’t know how many just share a few pictures or whatnot compared to people who pass political comments.
Getting valid objective data as much harder than most will let on or understand. And Trump’s win likely was a surprise to most in the ‘deep state’ or ‘elite’, but just being in the other camp, gang, or machine doesn’t mean he was not well connected all along, to even get as far as being considered as a candidate. Don’t forget, you have to be a neocon to be an imperialist — the Political Realists were doing that long before the crazies escaped from the basement. Dr, Strangelove was modeled after Kissinger — a realist.
Yup, the character/professional assassination of Milgram and Zimbardo continues. Milgram’s test has been repeated in many form and variations, the end result is always the same, and not what blue espouses from his “vast” experience of “people he knows” and his hanging up on telemarketers. What is most laughable is that he actually thinks such statements carry weight against the life-work of two brilliant researchers.
I urge readers to actually read up on the repeated re-affirmations of both Milgram and Zimbardo’s research, which of course the Rothschild/Zionist/Deep State does not want generally known and understood.
I have often made the case at Saker that Trump’s only intended Deep State role was to be the easiest candidate for Clinton to beat. I won’t repeat that in full here, but blue is fully aware of it and continues to try to confuse the issue. OF COURSE Trump was an “insider”, otherwise the Zionist/Deep State would not have engineered his beating the Republican favourites. Just not a Republican-Establishment-backed insider. Hard to believe Jeb Bush was not warmonger enough for the Deep State’s purposes… maybe he still has some functioning synapses and some spine.
Mark Dice… who would give any credibility there? But attempting to attach Dice to my comments is an old trolling trick, assuming I won’t look back and see what blue has done.
And blue is simply wrong again… by accident or deliberate spreading of mis/disinformation? He said:
“Dr, Strangelove was modeled after Kissinger — a realist.”
For the record, Kissinger is a certifiable psychopath and war criminal, his “reality” the world needs a lot less of. If blue can’t even get popular culture references correct, how can we trust the rest of his “wisdom”. Readers should note it took me less than 30 seconds total to find two top-of-search clicks to the references below, including the time it took longer to type “strangelove modeled after” in the search engine…
And while Sellers says he largely modeled the MANNERISMS of Stranglove after Von Braun, the actual scripting/character statements are undoubtedly drawn from Kahn’s statements.
————-
“Many incorrectly suspect that Henry Kissinger was Kubrick’s model. While it is true that Kissinger had thick glasses and an even thicker accent, he was still a relatively obscure professor at Harvard in 1964 when the movie was released. (Kissinger didn’t became National Security Advisor until 1969.) Of course, we cannot rule out the possibility that Kissinger subsequently modeled himself, consciously or subconsciously, after Strangelove.
America’s best-known nuclear strategist in 1964 was American-born Herman Kahn, a physicist, RAND Corporation think-tanker, and author of On Thermonuclear War. (Kahn’s most famous argument was that some people would probably survive a nuclear war.) In the movie, Strangelove mentions an association with the “Bland Corporation” and argues that nuclear war is survivable.”
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/1999/03/who_was_dr_strangelove.html
———-
“33:53 Turgidson: “Mr. President, we are rapidly approaching a moment of truth both for ourselves as human beings and for the life of our nation. Now, the truth is not always a pleasant thing, but it is necessary now make a choice, to choose between two admittedly regrettable, but nevertheless, distinguishable post-war environments: one where you got twenty million people killed, and the other where you got a hundred and fifty million people killed.”
This is almost exactly something Herman Kahn, an early prominent nuclear strategist, would have said. I am currently plowing through his writings to locate the exact (or closest) phrase, but since there are some 17,000 such phrases….For example, Table 3 in On Thermonuclear War: “Tragic but Distinguishable Postwar States.” However, it is Dr. Strangelove who is even more closely modeled after Kahn. Dr. Strangelove worked for the Bland Corporation, while Kahn worked for the Rand Corporation… ”

Strangely enough, sometimes I can be wrong.
As for Milgram et al, such studies are skewed and not a fair sample of people, who are self-selected for them. I’ll go by all the people I’ve known personally than some academic study from Yale. But perhaps I’ve just known a better class of people? I don’t flock with sheep.
Think what you like — you will, of course. So what?
PS, re Milgram
http://www.psychteacher.co.uk/social-influence/obedience-milgram.html
BTW — Kahn is listed as a political realist too — which goes along with the point I was making regarding Trump as a realist vs a neocon.
So Strangelove was based on Kahn — OK — feel free to hang me for the error with your mockery, but the point is still made.
Have a nice try day.
nice try, I always thought that Strangelove was a compendium of lunatics, and Edward Teller was definitely an influence. Once a great movie-today a very prescient documentary.
The USA have the first Trans-president
Vote for a man and get the woman.
The author of this article is correct in that the voter will be completely disillusion by the complete transformation of Trump into a neo-con.
Those voters will never vote again.
Even I am now extremely cautious about that transformer- MegaTrump.
Its even worst than that. A “white xenomorph” is being placed in charge of the NSC and bringing all his good buddies to do you-know-what. https://medium.com/@Cernovich/petraeus-and-mcmaster-have-taken-over-the-nsc-want-massive-ground-war-with-syria-e67b71a9076a
Don’t know what happened to Trump. Possibly impossible for us to really know. Don’t really care and waste time about him now. More important is for me to follow and share any important information the American patriots have gathered to stop any war in the making.
Regarding the bombing of Dresden by the Allied air forces during WW2:
Strange as may seem to you, my first knowledge of Dresden was from a computer game in the 1990s when I was young. Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe by Lucasfilm Games. The game manual not only introduced the game mechanics, but a historical overview of the air war in the European theatre and a interview with a Professor Williamson Murray! The historical overview incredibly had a chapter on Dresden alone, which described the terror and carnage that was done.
You simply don’t see such way of learning while playing anymore these days…
@ Ali
“Don’t know what happened to Trump.”
Really? I’ll tell you. You watched a narcissistic, immoral and deeply unlikable man elbow his way to the top of the trough. His ticket there was simple disaffected white folk, just as Obama’s ticket was simple disaffected Black and Hispanic folk. To use the electorate thus is an act of deepest contempt. Why on earth do you think he cares what you think now?
And now he has gone fantastic. US going into a war in the far east again. Like Vietnam. And I mean, it is from the realm of fantasy. No logic, memory, reason.
Its over, USA. You’re finished. China will not stop N Korea. They, and Russia will arm and aid the N. Koreans, drag out a US invasion and lay waste to the last strands of US credibility in the world.
Dear N. Koreans. I am sorry for you in advance, and for your sacrifice. Just stop as many neocon meatheads as you can, and with my blessing.
N. Korea. The new Stalingrad.
@ proper gander: Close but no cigar. Trump may have “elbowed” his way to the top, but could not have done it without the Clinton Crime Cabal miscalculating on how effectively their “blast Trump’s name across the MSM” tactic could backfire. Any media wonk knows there’s no such thing as bad publicity when it comes to the intellectual capacity and critical thinking skills of the US public. The Clintonites/Deep State deliberately tanked the other Repuglican campaigns of Jeb Bush etc. by simply ignoring them and focusing on Trump. Disposing of Sanders in-house was easy-peasy and the stage was set for a Killary slam-dunk beating Trumpty Dumbdy.
Then there was all that inconvenient Wikileaks stuff and Killary underestimating just how hated she and Slick Willy were. Sanders’ voters either stayed home or held their noses and voted Trump.
Notice China said they would only take military action against certain of NK’s nuclear sites if the missile tests continued. If Kim is smart (that is always an unknown quantity) he’ll simply keep building nuclear warheads and place them in key locations. This will force China to tell the US (on pain of China’s nukes landing in Washington) not to invade NK as it is one uuuugge nuclear bomb. A bomb which stays safe as long as the US stays out of bombing/naval-artillery range.
Yankee go home.
@ nice try. I wrote a long while back that Trump, not Clinton, was Obama and the necon’s natural heir. She was still fixated on the ME when the next phase of securing hegemony was a destabilisation of the far east. That has been on Trumps lips from the outset.
You are are quite likely wrong, therefore, about how the US is going to conduct itself and how China is going to react re. NK. This is China’s Ukraine, and it will play out much the same in its grand goals. Like it or not, Ukraine was a success for the US – pipelines taken, Russian influence curtailed, NATO installed, illegally, puppets in place, Russia blamed for all of it and sanctioned to sh*t.
That is what is about to happen in NK, but I believe the US will lose some asset, possibly with China’s deniable help, and, because Don and Mattis are both retarded (with my apology to retards) the US will send in troops. China can and will suck the life blood out of them.
I have also thought for a long while that Russia and China’s actual objective is to provoke exactly these situations and draw the US out ever more. A bully thinks he can take on all comers. A smart man makes him, and chats up his girlfriend when he’s occupied.
Proper gander, I agree Trump was a deeply flawed candidate candidate. However he was not like Obama.
1.Trump did NOT have his campaign financed by Goldman Sachs (like Obama). In fact he was even running short of campaign funds.
2. He did not have the full support of his party, even after he won.
3. He did not have a fawning media/Hollywood clique supporting him (like Obama) did before him.
So Ali’s question about “what happened to Trump” is totally justified. Something obviously did happen to him.
@ Serbian Girl
“So Ali’s question about “what happened to Trump” is totally justified. Something obviously did happen to him.”
Respectfully, nothing happened to Trump. He is in the whitehouse doing exactly what we expected Hillary Clinton to do and with a great deal of swagger. Rather, something has happened to you. You have had a veil pulled from your eyes. You thought your man had won, when all along he was not your man.
What, truly, made anyone think that man was in it for the common man, decency, justice, sound money, peace? What shred of a redeeming nature did you see? An ignorant, boastful rich kid that you wouldn’t allow in your house for long, or anywhere near your daughter.
The yanks have a peculiar weakness for snake-oil salesmen.
Who, or what is Donald J Trump. He is PT Barnam v2.0, release date 2016.
It feels like I’m shouting into a wind tunnel, but the fact is, Donald J Trump was *not* supposed to win the presidency. It’s a fact. Not an opinion, it is a verifiable fact.
The John Podesta emails released by Wikileaks are unequivocal.
The “deep” DNC and their amorphous “owners” plotted*, planned*, cheated*’and possibly bribed) to steer, guide and direct both the DNC AND RNC primaries to deliver DJ Trump as the RNC candidate.
***(Wikileaks provides irrefutable evidence for these claims.
The rationale of the DNC controller-owners was that DJTrump was so ridiculous as a candidate, so comical, so absurd and unelectable, it made HRC the only viable candidate. (Again, all this is evidenced from Wikileaks).
HRC was anointed to be the first female President of the United States of America.
Everyone who was anyone knew this.
The controlled corporate media new this, because their Puppet Masters, the owners of both the DNC AND RNC had signed off on it.
It was, as they say, a “done deal”.
Meanwhile, out on the campaign trail, things got a little less certain.
DJT, ever the egotistical celebrity, became conspicuously intoxicated with the exuberant rallies and the adrenalin of “winning”.
Whether Trump knew he’d been recruited to be the foil to HRC, or whether he believed he was the “rightful” candidate is not known, because the RNC emails have not (yet) been leaked.
Despite demonstrable and growing mass support for Trump among the HRC-disparaged (and self-identifying) “deplorables”, the controlled(owned) lugenpress continued to megaphone that HRC was winning.
And then something happened.
Something entirely unexpected, unscripted and something that despite all efforts, could not be controlled or concealed.
It was the most exquisite deus ex machina moment:
Hillary, attending a 9/11 commemoration /[{~?celebration?~}]\ in NYC, “suffered” a health melt-down and was hurled like a sack of potatoes into her customised ambulance/SVU.
And that is the precise moment the script was torn up and other forces and amorphous players entered the game.
There was a sea-change. It was palpable.
Like every 10-year old boy of his vintage DJ Trump had dreamed of one day growing up to be the President of the United States of America.
If he HAD previously agreed to a Faustian deal to be a faux candidate, he now reneged.
He rode the tumescent tide into the White House.
And all hell broke loose.
The seething, psychotic, incandescent anger from the Clintons, their media and their previously subterranean supporters leads me to the view Trump reneged on whatever deal he may have struck with the Hill-devil.
Political contests are held all over the world all the time.
They are hard-fought and emotional, and mostly unethical. And candidates lose.
But never, has there been seen the vitriol, the violence and such an unrelenting crusade against the winner, as has been unleashed against DJT.
“Never Trump” became a casus belli “not my president”.
Who, or what is Donald J Trump?
He is PT Barnam – he is a showman, a shyster, an egotist; a lover of celebrity and banality, luxury and adulation.
He is impetus, impatient, ill-informed, superficial.
He is now President of the United States of America.
A position deemed “Leader of the Free World” and the “Most Powerful Man on the Planet”
May “god” have mercy on our souls.
I don’t know whats wrong with you people.
Trump won, Hillary lost, Sanders was robbed. You make it sound like Presidents are elected by counting the votes of the people, a naïve child like idea that the “elite” would ever let something so important be decided by the unwashed voting rabble.
Presidents are SELECTED. Trump “won” because he was allowed to win and now he is playing the part that he has been given by his bosses and that he was always intended to play.
For whatever reason the powers that be decided that Trump would be president and Hillary would not. That DOES NOT mean that the US story line was going to change even one iota. Events will continue to move in their planned direction regardless of which unethical bloodthirsty PONTUS sits his/her fat posterior in the Oval Office and until the “voting” public wake up to the futility of their false Democracy and do something to drastically change it they will continue to be dragged along the bloody road to oblivion.
Something that got dropped from my ^ comment.
DNC/ Podesta referred to Trump as the “pied piper” candidate…
He was supposed to be so repugnant to the sheep, that they would run bleating “save us” to HRC….
And yes @voting-is-con.
Yes. It is a selection process. Bit like job interviews _ when someone has been ***promised*** / “given the nod” for the job, and then someone “outside” is appointed. That person can face sabotage, isolation, duping… They either quit, or stay, fight and establish their hold on the position.
Kinda, a bit like we’re seeing. Shame Trump has to kill a dozen or more people before he can be considered a “real” president as per Fareed Zakaharia (CNN).
Trump had his campaign financed, at the end, by Sheldon Adelson, that mummified monument to formalin. So, not Goldman Sachs, but something rather similar.
McMasterbator is one of those trade-mark ‘no neck’ Yankee blow-hards, Probably a steroid user by the look of him, and those (the USA consumes much of the planet’s steroids)are prone to outbursts of rage and aggression.

I can’t stop wondering all the time how people couldn’t see what was coming when all was said in clear:
“Throughout the presidential campaign, Trump repeatedly vowed he would relocate the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He declared at the AIPAC conference in March he would “move the American embassy to the eternal capital of the Jewish people, Jerusalem…
US President-elect Donald Trump told the Israel Hayom Hebrew-language daily that he intends to go through with his pledge to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, saying that “clearly I did not forget” the promise made on the campaign trail….
“You know that I am not a person who breaks promises,” the president-elect added in comments published in Hebrew by the paper on Thursday morning.”
@http://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-i-did-not-forget-jerusalem-embassy-move-pledge/
“Many U.S. presidential candidates have made the same declaration. What makes Mr. Trump any different? Mr. Trump is under no illusion of the severe push back from Arabists and lifelong bureaucrats at the State Department who will tell Mr. Trump it is impossible to make the move. On that day, as David Friedman, Mr. Trump’s senior Israel policy advisor, said recently in Jerusalem, Mr. Trump will look at the State Department bureaucrats and say: You are fired!
Mr. Trump’s ties to Jews and Israel go beyond policy. They also go beyond his loving support and encouragement of his religiously observant Jewish daughter and son-in-law and his pride in his Jewish grandchildren. Donald Trump’s love of the Jewish people dates back many decades. Senior observant Jewish executives in the Trump Organization recall being encouraged to stop deals on Friday afternoons so they can go home to their families to observe the Sabbath.
Mr. Trump has disavowed any support from anti-Semites, just as I hope Mrs. Clinton disavows support from anti-Israel groups that support her. I proudly wear my kippa to Trump Tower and receive support and encouragement from the campaign to take off every Sabbath and every Jewish holiday (of which there have been many in October), crucial days lost for any campaign. But supporting Jews is what Mr. Trump has done all his life”.

“UN Ambassador Nikki Haley Rips Security Council’s ‘Breathtaking’ Anti-Israel Bias”:
United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley issued a scathing criticism of the UN Security Council over their “anti-Israel” bias on Thursday after emerging from her first regular monthly meeting at the international body.

“You’re going to see a change in the way we do businesses,” she began, back then. “Our goal with [this] administration is to show value at the U.N. and the way to show value is to show our strength, show our full voice — have the backs of our allies and make sure our allies have our backs as well. For those who don’t have our back, we’re taking names and we will make points to respond to that accordingly.”

Need to remind what Hanukkah is? Commemoration of victory over the evil anti-Semitic Syrian King!
Hannukah, for some, is the self-serving myth which confirms that other great, racist myth of the Khazar fake-jew mythos – the myth of exceptionalism.
I will admit I did not read the entire article, however let me simply say that Trump has dutifully bowed down to his masters. The power of Zion, and the chosen, is supreme within the artifice of the United States government complex. If Trump ever had any illusions otherwise they have quickly been dispelled. The president of the United States is now a young couple, some might say a cute couple, with ambitious desires.
All mid-east endeavors serve only one purpose, all other reasons which may be given fall a distant second and third.
Hillary Clinton Email Archive – Wikileaks
Terrific find, Angelo.
This HRC e-mail (Nov 30, 2015) is very relevant to what is possibly behind the US political/military mindset. To me, there seems to be a lot of wishful speculation, though, on what others will do: it always comes out as a self-serving conclusion in line with the “agenda”.
For example:
“The second step is to develop international support for a coalition air operation. Russia will never support such a mission, so there is no point operating through the UN Security Council. Some argue that U.S. involvement risks a wider war with Russia. But the Kosovo example shows otherwise. In that case, Russia had genuine ethnic and political ties to the Serbs, which don’t exist between Russia and Syria, and even then Russia did little more than complain. Russian officials have already acknowledged they won’t stand in the way if intervention comes.”
This is very dangerous speculation. And it is also a limited-scope analysis. There is a very different calibre of leadership in the Kremlin than during the rape of Yugoslavia. Nowhere in this e-mail is there any consideration of the legitimate Russian concerns for jihadists later moving against Russia in the Caucasus region and Central Asia.
The email was actually dated 2012, according to Wikileaks it was a state department typo….
Regardless, these presumptions of Russian non-intervention are indeed dangerous. I do however think they have largely been put to rest by Russia’s surprise decision to move hardware and personnel into Syria, raising the stakes of the proxy war. Russia now inflicts aerial bombardments on Jihadi positions daily, much to the dismay of the Washington/Tel Aviv/Riyadh axis.

The Real Reason We’re In Syria Is Enraging But Not Surprising
(Gas pipeline)
Gas pipelines are not the primary reason, they are merely the loot that goes along with the prize. They are a high priority side deal, but not the main objective. These loot caches are thrown to the minions which do the leg work. The overarching battle is cultural, not economic.
With culture destruction comes vast loot caches, in terms of both tangible assets, but more importantly mental and spiritual assets – a newly captive population to colonize into the extreme liberal order.
Our battle is cultural / spiritual first and foremost, the ruling families have mountains of money, gold and diamonds, what they seek is complete dominion over the free spirit of man, and no less.
Gas is one reason, imperialist ideology another, Israeli manipulation a third, control of finance system yet another, and probably a few more. These wars are generally a convergence of a various interests and groups — all nasty, and all get a piece of the action.
It’s as if foxes were dividing up a chicken, some like breast, some wings, some thighs, some legs, and they all like the soup afterwards. I think cultural is likely a much lesser reason, and cultures which don’t have any economic or strategic value are left for desert, and I do think money is probably to most important motivation. In the end the empire wants it all.
It’s not about money for the dynasty families, they already have it all. The money and greed motivations you witness arise from within the managerial class. The Clinton Bush crime syndicate being one branch of managers, while the Rockefeller’s and Rothschild’s merely belong to the rung above.
There are lineages upon the earth whose sole goal has been for generation upon generation to create the New Atlantis, the reemergence of which is to be ushered in through trans-humanism and a deeply disassociated human historical memory. This project is now very well advanced.
The massive old money and elite — perhaps you’re correct, but the servant, functionary, managerial, whatever classes are needed to pull it off.
Of course the old elite families can dissipate and weaken, and dynasties fail, but I’m not sure who you are referring to — I usually don’t try to keep track of such things.
“On the pedestal of the statue appear the words, “My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: / Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!” But around the decaying ruin of the statue, nothing remains, only the “lone and level sands,” which stretch out around it.”
Unlike Elrond my memory does not stretch back into the first age, although I’ve heard tales, but then neither do the current dynasty crop who must deal with their current realities and defects.

The Anglo-zionist’s coming war is not just against Russia and China, it is against humanity. The effects of such a war will spill over the whole planet wiping out the northern hemisphere at a stroke and then slowly encroaching the southern hemisphere. The novel by Neville Schute ”On the Beach” might have been written for the present conjuncture. Herewith the overspill effects of such a conflict.
Consequences of a large-scale nuclear war.
Following a large U.S.-Russian nuclear war, enormous fires created by nuclear explosions in cities and industrial areas cause 150 million tons of smoke to be lofted high into the stratosphere. The smoke is quickly spread around the world and forms a dense smoke layer around both Hemispheres; the smoke will remain in the stratosphere for many years and act to block sunlight from reaching the surface of the Earth. New studies predict this level of stratospheric smoke deposition will still be possible even after planned reductions in U.S.-Russian nuclear arsenals are completed under the SORT Treaty in 2012.
Summary of consequences: U.S.-Russian war producing 150 million tons of smoke
• 2600 U.S. and Russian strategic nuclear weapons on high-alert are launched (in 2 to 3 minutes) at targets in the U.S., Europe and Russia (and perhaps at other targets which are considered to have strategic value).
• Some fraction of the remaining 7600 deployed and operational U.S. and Russian strategic nuclear warheads/weapons are also launched and detonated in retaliation for the initial attacks.
• Hundreds of large cities in the U.S., Europe and Russia are engulfed in massive firestorms which burn urban areas of tens or hundreds of thousands of square miles/kilometers.
• 150 million tons of smoke from nuclear fires rises above cloud level, into the stratosphere, where it quickly spreads around the world and forms a dense stratospheric cloud layer. The smoke will remain there for many years to block and absorb sunlight.
• The smoke blocks up to 70% of the sunlight from reaching the Earth’s surface in the Northern Hemisphere, and up to 35% of the sunlight is also blocked in the Southern Hemisphere.
• In the absence of warming sunlight, surface temperatures on Earth become as cold or colder than they were 18,000 years ago at the height of the last Ice Age
• There would be rapid cooling of more than 20°C over large areas of North America and of more than 30°C over much of Eurasia, including all agricultural regions
• 150 million tons of smoke in the stratosphere would cause minimum daily temperatures in the largest agricultural regions of the Northern Hemisphere to drop below freezing for 1 to 3 years. Nightly killing frosts would occur and prevent food from being grown.
• Average global precipitation would be reduced by 45% due to the prolonged cold.
• Growing seasons would be virtually eliminated for many years.
• Massive destruction of the protective ozone layer would also occur, allowing intense levels of dangerous UV light to penetrate the atmosphere and reach the surface of the Earth.
• Massive amounts of radioactive fallout would be generated and spread both locally and globally. The targeting of nuclear reactors would significantly increase fallout of long-lived isotopes.
• Gigantic ground-hugging clouds of toxic smoke would be released from the fires; enormous quantities of industrial chemicals would also enter the environment.
• It would be impossible for many living things to survive the extreme rapidity and degree of changes in temperature and precipitation, combined with drastic increases in UV light, massive radioactive fallout, and massive releases of toxins and industrial chemicals.
• Already stressed land and marine ecosystems would collapse.
• Unable to grow food, most humans would starve to death.
• A mass extinction event would occur, similar to what happened 65 million years ago, when the dinosaurs were wiped out following a large asteroid impact with Earth (70% of species became extinct, including all animals greater than 25 kilograms in weight).
• Even humans living in shelters equipped with many years worth of food, water, energy, and medical supplies would probably not survive in the hostile post-war environment.
Have a nice day everyone.

Therein lies the aching tragedy of what we are observing.
Right now, where I am, the day could simply not be any nicer.

It is just euphorically beautiful.,
Quite a lot of things to comment on in this piece but I will focus on just a few for lack of time.
The description by Williams of the missile strikes on MSNBC — he doth quoth the Raven Leonard Cohen for pete’s sake, is so over the top you know this can only be psychological warfare in it’s purest form, meant to throw viewers into emotional turmoil. For me this confirms the strike is a fraud, as I have believed all along.
Did not happened.
The number of cruise missiles reportedly shot down is off the scale even for the most prepared air defenses in the world never mind the Syrians who are presently tied down everywhere and have no personel to man aging and neglected air defense systems. The video on Tavistock-MI6-CIA concieved and operated PressTV is so blatantly falsified that nothing here is even remotely plausible.
The bigger question is why doesn’t Iran denounce PressTV and it burka clad news anchors (lol), over which it very obviously has no editorial input or control — and why do they continue to play along with the storyline and mirage of directly supporting Houthis in Yemen. What an awful bunch of gansters they are and now you know why Khomeini came direct to Iran from Paris at the outset of the revolution.
Yemenis are being culled, they reproduce too quickly, like all Arabs apparently, so they are being starved to death for profit in an intentionally condoned and executed genocide of innocent men, women and children. Has it ever been otherwise in any modern genocide?
The same can be asked of Russia, concerning Russia Today, which is clever Anglo-American and Zionist propaganda masquerading as a Russian state owned news network which somehow, goodness knows how, has escaped being targetted by sanctions crazy lunatics across the US and Europe.
Or are you gullible enough to believe Iran and Russia would be permitted to broadcast directly to citizens of an ‘enemy’ nation during what is more or less World War 3.
What all of this tells us, and Mr. Moglia you have intelligence enough to know, is that the international oligarch hyperclass has more in common with each other than they have with the people who live in their countries of origin, and who they feed on like cancer feeds on healthy flesh. They are vampires in a vast capitalist bloodsucking system. I’m afraid the same can be said of academics in general who rather than spell out the obvious prefer to enhance the drama and add credibility to it for what can only be personal gain and, if I’m feeling extremely generous, the preservation of their positions and priviledges.
How stupid do you think are we?
Thanks for this masterpiece.
It’s amusing watching all the Trump supporters engaging in tortured rationalizations why the man they thought was opposed to more American war in the Middle East … is actually increasing America’s attacks in this region.
This is evidenced not only by America’s criminal missile attack against Syria but its murderous rampage in Iraq, where the USA’s recent bombing of Mosul killed over 200 people–many of them elderly and children. And then there is America’s stepped up aggression in Yemen.
The Trump supporters are now in the same position as the Obama supporters who could not bring themselves to face the reality that Obama’s “Hope and Change” was a fraud.
Trump was basically a rabid White American nationalist version of Barack Obama, which is deliciously ironic given that Trump has tried to portray himself as the anti-Obama.
The Alt Reich… er.. Alt Right and others who supported Trump are reduced to clinging to comical excuses and convoluted “explanations” about Trump’s decision to attack Syria–much like a mental patient acts when his version of reality is thrown into question.
Jimie Moglia, you are a superb writer as well as a clear thinker.
I particularly liked this sentence:
“the enemies are those guilty of existing outside the scheme of worldwide dominance by the exceptional nation.”
Yes very amusing watching Trump morph into a neocon. Dying of laughter here…
I wondered how long it would take for a lefto-liberal weasel to come here and make fun of those who preferred Hillary to Trump. And here you are, anonymous, right on cue!
Wallowing in Schadenfreude is probably preventing you from observing that the antiwar, anti-establishment movement that Trump rode to power ( i.e. Trump’s base) has actually turned against Trump…to quote PJ Watson they are “off the Trump train”. Your “mental patient” analogy really is only applicable to you and your fellow Obama /Hillary supporters.
Trump supporters ***correctly*** identified Trump as the ‘lesser of two evils’ and understood what he said on the election trail was infinitely better than what the warmongering monster Clinton was offering. But intelligent Trump supporters understood that it was always possible for the Deep State to co-opt Trump after his election, so what exactly is your point, beyond attempting to boost Clinton, the Democrats and George Soros.
The American election offered exactly ***two*** logical possibilities:
1) Trump was really going to be as bad as Clinton.
2) Trump was going to be better than Clinton.
So ***logically*** there was no choice but to vote for Trump, hoping for outcome 2.
Even the most naive Trump supporter is now troubled, so again what’s you point. I’m noticing ***very*** suspicious comments in true alternative news outlets that effectively imply people should have supported Clinton all along.
You call Trump (using language I’ve seen other people use in other forums- how odd) a ‘White American nationalist’, whereas our problem with Trump today is clearly that he’s acting as a ***globalist***, seeking to extend America’s reach into every part of the globe militarily. Curious that you fail to notice this. A ‘nationalist’ would put America’s interest first, and as Human History’s greatest trading nation, that would mean ***peace***, not war. But you fail to notice this too- how odd. But you don’t fail to use the NWO propaganda tag, ‘alt-right’- how unsurprising.
The ***real*** story is how Deep State propagandists, operating in the mainstream media, but ***also*** in every forum we use, hit hard with the “Trump is the puppet of Putin” psy-op in the days after Trump’s election. This caused Putin (very very foolishly) to back away from grasping a unique opportunity in American History, so Trump could claim to be his own man. But Putin created a vacuum, into which the Demons of the Deep State poured, allowing them to take control of Trump.
People use the phrase ‘alt-right’, and accuse Trump of being ‘Putin’s man’ for the ***exact*** same reason. The Deep State had a major loss, and only had psychological warfare to compensate for a few months. And boy did they use psy-ops perfectly. Day One Putin should have been there demanding Trump partner Russia in making the planet a safer and better place for Mankind, ignoring all the zionist mainstream media barbs that were going to come anyway. Trump responds to loud powerful manly voices.
But Putin went silent – advised by very dangerous zioinsts in his inner circle to give Trump ‘space’. And the Demons provided alternative ‘manly’ voices to Trump- all aimed at telling him that a true man isn’t afraid to use force and prove his mettle. And now Trump the madman is looking to trigger a war of unthinkable proportions in the Far East- the one place where Humans not only have unresolved hatreds of one another since WW2, but also possess the industrialised sophistication to wage the most awful warfare imaginable.
Globalism is a weasel word euphemism for the global American Empire.
And American wealth and prosperity are based upon maintaining America’s global hegemony and the ability of its corporations to exploit workers, markets and resources around the world–as well as propping up the parasite system that is American Dollar Imperialism (i.e. US Petro Dollar as the world’s only reserve currency).

Chaos And Hegemony – How US Dollar Imperialism Dominates The World
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-04-14/chaos-and-hegemony-how-us-dollar-imperialism-dominates-world#.
The reason why America resorts to wars of aggression and military intervention around the world (regardless of who the hell is in power) is that the “military card” increasingly is the only card that the Americans can play in order to maintain their unipolar world order.
In fact, America’s jealously guarded Dollar reserve status is *not* really backed by any sound economic fundamentals but rather ultimately by the American war machine.
When Trump runs his mouth about America First, what does that really mean?
It means putting the American Empire First—the American Empire that is fundamental to US Dollar Imperialism and US corporate plunder of the globe.
And the meme that Trump was “co-opted by the Deep State” is merely another pathetic alibi that Trump supporters are pushing.
Trump represents one faction of the American Deep State vs. another faction of the Deep State (as represented by Clinton/Obama).
The political “differences” between these factions are only tactical differences over how best to maintain American unipolar dominance.
Trump was *never* a political outsider, except in the fantasy world of his supporters.
Trump was and has always been yet another Controlled Opposition figure—just like Barack Obama before him.
Trump supporters simply cannot bear to face that reality, nor can they stand to admit that they are political doppelgangers of the Obama Kool-Aid Drinkers and the liberal left that they despise.
Whether it be the Alt Right or the Liberal Left, Obama or Clinton or Trump or Bush—all factions of the American Empire are cut from the same political cloth.
A plague on all their houses.
This really is a work of art. It covers so many aspects of the reality. I’ve read it several times, and even re-posted it. Perhaps I just appreciate some of your wry humour. Anyway, thank you.
Coalition Strikes Daesh Depot With Chemical Weapons in Deir ez-Zor – Syrian MoD
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201704131052598995-coalition-daesh-chemical-weapons-syria/
“The Syrian General Staff said that the US-led coalition struck a Daesh depot storing chemical weapons in Deir ez-Zor on Wednesday.
The Syrian military said that this fact proves that terrorists possess chemical weapons.
“The jets of the so-called US-led coalition launched a strike at about 17:30-17:50 [local time, 14:30-14:50 GMT] on a Daesh warehouse where many foreign fighters were present. First a white cloud and then a yellow one appeared at the site of the strike, which points at the presence of a large number of poisonous substances. A fire at the site continued until 22:30 [19:30 GMT],” the Syrian army’s command statement obtained by Sputnik said.
According to the Syrian General Staff, the US-led coalition’s strike killed several hundred people, including civilians. Hundreds were poisoned as a result of the strike on Daesh’s headquarters and depot with chemical weapons.
“This confirms that Daesh and al-Nusra terrorists possess chemical weapons and are capable of using, obtaining and transporting it,” the document said.”
Hi vot tak … could this be a complete double cross, betrayal by the neocons against trump … get him to bomb the syrians last week and then show that he acted too much in haste, that last week it could have been a chemical weapons storage!, this to discredit his judgment and also to have him lose his previous supporters. mod-hs
No, after Tillerson getting totally thrashed in the meetings with Lavrov and Putin, the US realizes how much irrefutable intelligence Russia has gathered, and that the US has lost in Syria, at least the western portions. The 59 Tomahawks was just the final blow to any trust Putin had in Trump’s ability to turn the US away from the warmonger Zionist project.
Trumpty Dumbdy is now a non-player in this PNAC/Grand Chessboard/AIPAC game, beyond playing the on-cue “tough on terror” front-man all POTUS’ get assigned.
The US/NATO are “cleaning up” any evidence that would conclusively link the US and its Zionist/Israeli, Saudi/Wahabbist go-betweens to the chemical weapons in Syria. Any “ISIS/Al Qaeda, etc. Incorporated” leaders with specific knowledge will be liquidated by US “Special Forces/black-ops” as part of the bogus “war on terror”. That may be why 20-30 ISIS militants attacked US troops operating in Syria, as the US had already begun this murder-operation. US covert-ops blowing up the chemical dump in ISIS controlled areas where the Syrian/Russians had advised the US they intended to strike earlier this week, would then make sense.
The capture/potential-exposure of direct evidence of US malfeasance is what happened in the cauldron in Aleppo, where it would seem Russia agreed not to make obvious in the media/UN in return for US good behaviour while the legitimate Syrian gov’t and its real allies either disarmed or eliminated the US-backed “moderate terrorists”.
The US may indeed be acting on “deal” with Russia, but that deal is likely “clean up the mess you’ve made in Syria then get out, or we will dump all this info at the UN, Wikileaks-style”. Putin (and probably Xi) is clearly major-league pissed-off and have had enough.
It remains to be seen whether the US will persist in carrying out the long-standing promises made to the Zionists in Israel and Washington, if so the project to fragment/destroy Syria, Iraq and then Turkey, Egypt and Iran may continue. The Ukraine neo-nazi project and US “defenses” in Eastern Europe have to go, soon.
I’m betting Putin directly told Tillerson the US had better get the Washington Zionists/Russophobes to heel, quickly or there won’t be a dog for the Zionist tail to wag. And I’d bet Xi agrees with Putin… the BS over North Korea has dragged on about 60 years too long.
Hey HS
I think trump is one of the neocons, so doubt any of that sort of intrigue. He’s been one all along. He played the role of “rebel” as part of the psywar intended to get the public back on track supporting war for world domination and especially for israeli interests.
My view is the zpc/nwo planned on ramping up their war against Syria, and everyone else in their way, and this chem weapon false flag pretext for attack strategy is one of their standards.
Chinese unreliability and lack of principles starting to manifest?
–>: China abstained from vetoing the BS UN Security leaving Russia isolated and casting the sole veto. Just prior to Xi’s visit to Mar a Lago the Chinese statements were quite strong at the UN Security Council particularly slapping the British weasel at the UN for crude behavior. So are we looking at a situation where China’s abstention resulting from Xi-Trump horse-trading?
TYS,
Would you be so kind as to point to me a video where I may see the crude behavior of the Brit and the Chinese slapping the weasel?
Your post now has me extremely curious.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Carmel by the Sea
TYS is referring to this exchange at the UN Security Council:
RYCROFT (United Kingdom), recalling that the Council’s chance on 28 February to pass a resolution “that would have sent a clear signal” of consequences for all those using chemical weapons in Syria, said that following the vetoes of that text by the Russian Federation and China, the only message sent to the Assad regime had been one of encouragement. “Yesterday, we saw the effects of those vetoes,” he said, adding that history would judge Council members on their response to such crimes.
LIU JIYEI (China): “…UK’s comments are not to be tolerated. Their statement does not hold water. We wish the delegate would stop abusing the Council…”
http://www.un.org/press/en/2017/sc12777.doc.htm
I don’t have it, I saw it live on RT and later on an empire MSM propaganda channel (either Al Jazeera or BBC – the 2 outlets are virtual clones).
What I saw was the Chinese rep on the UNSC specific address the bad and in appropriate behavior of the beady eyed(my description) slimebag from Britain. It was noteworthy because I’ve never seen the Chinese use such personal language in the UN before. To find it you need to search for the UNSC proceedings prior to the one yesterday: I believe it is the same session where the Russian UNSC rep Safranov (by the way is that a Slavic last name? -anyone?), told off the slimebag from Britain by saying “look at me! don’t turn your head.,.” Safranov also says forceful to the Brits “you’re afraid, you’re afraid that Russia and US might work together in Syria …”
I hope I didn’t conflate the 2 sessions. What I do know is that the AZ MSM gleefully reported that in the latest UNSC meeting the Russian’s Vetoed the proposal brought to the UNSC but China only abstained. And that is not good news – now even in terms simply diplomatic support the Chinese seem be faltering.
Also note that RT has started to report critically about President Xi: a report on their business segment today talked how reports were circulating that Xi is planned to extend his term indefinitely; ie he wants be dictator for life)
Good piece. Americans don’t want to recognize that their country is the evil country. What we accuse others of we ourselves do. What’s more awful, though, is that many Americans can be brought to acknowledge the evil that we do, but then they shift to the ultimate, machiavellian, justification. Then the justification is this : we are and want to remain the apex predator and besides we are probably nicer than the others would be if they became the apex predator.

Russia Sends Drones to Deir ez-Zor Where ‘Coalition Strike’ Caused Chemical Leak
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201704131052606220-russia-drones-deir-ez-zor-chemical-leak/
“The Russian Defense Ministry said it has sent drones to the site of an alleged chemical leak of a result of an alleged US-led coalition strike.”
First, Mr. Moglia, a very good and erudite essay.
However, one point: “As for the missile attack on Syria, it seems that, militarily, apart from the killings, it could hardly be considered a success. Apparently the airport was quickly back in operation and, allegedly, of the 59 missiles launched, only 23 reached the target.”
Indeed, if you see only the act and not the reason and real mission.
The missile strike was to blow up Russia as hero to the world, who was ending the Syrian misery with military, political, diplomatic and humanitarian successes, especially, the Astana negotiations.
The battlefield was shaping for Syrian Army victories everywhere throughout the country from west to east, north to south. Where the SAA and RF was fighting, the most recent weeks there was great, swift progress, accompanied by efforts to get rebels to cease fighting, accept amnesty, stand down or move away from cities and towns, ceding to SAA the ground and releasing the people.
Though Turkey, the Kurds and the US were large issues and fought over swarths of land, the inevitable was occurring. Syria was becoming Syria again under the influence of Russia/Assad.
All this has ceased by means of the WMD episode and the missile strike. Assad is doomed, the Hegemon (not the USA of pre-Tomahawk strike) is dictating the messaging and rewarding the rebels and the terrorist hordes.
Russia has been “bombed” diplomatically, Astana is undermined, and the war is suddenly prolonged by who knows how long with the US basing thousands of boots, transferring heavy arms to Kurds, prepared to end Erdogan’s reign again if he misbehaves, mounting daily conflicts in the air for the RF and SAA, and certainly, controlling the globe’s messaging on Syria.
We went from ‘war could end soon’ and reconstruction could begin, to safe zones and no fly (limited but real).
Geopolitically, the missile strikes also work for the Hegemon everywhere else it wants to project power. NK, South China Sea, even Donbass if things go completely haywire in Ukraine.
This was not about the military effectiveness or failure of the Tomahawks.
This was about the Hegemon arising.
It worked magnificently.
Russia is smeared with the WMD residue, Assad is worse than Evil Incarnate, the vast power of the US military can overwhelm anyone on Earth (never mind the logic of that leading to the end of Humanity), and Trump saved his ass in the WH for a week or two with the neocons and Deep State.
And what is this morning’s news? The US may have hit a chemical weapons depot of ISIS near Deir ez Zor.
Doesn’t matter much now. The First Word is the only word in mass communications. Goebbles said it: Who says it first is right.
The message was Assad+Russia did it first.
Subsequent events that are similar will not register on the mass media without heroic efforts.
Hard to do in the environment of battle zones like Deir ez Zor.
The Tomahawks launch changed everything.
That they failed to hit and destroy much is meaningless.
23, 59, whatever. The Hegemon is back, bigger and more crazed than ever.
Trump has no control of it. He’s just the stooge at the microphone.
@ Larchmonter445: I think you underestimate just how rattled Tillerson was in his tete-a-tete with Lavrov and particularly Putin. He was ashen, and obviously struggling to save face while reading the scripted lies he had just had damning proof against thrown in his face.
The US Deep State can “first-word” blast “bad Russia, bad Syria” all over the MSM, but very few people outside the US are fooled, and an increasingly smaller number in the US. Bernays principles of lie first, lie big, lie often may be getting superseded by a trendsetter social media sub-system, which even Facebook and Twitter don’t hold sway over. The post-tomahawk reactions by former Trump-supporters in fact-based, well-read, unvarnished, free-for-all spaces like Zero Hedge articles/comments show the tide of trend-setter opinion in the US has drastically changed. Add in the failed/flailing travel bans, crashed ObamaCare repeal/replace and the “postponed” tax breaks until the O-C reforms happen, and Trump is widely seen either as a sell-out or a fool, or both. The Z-Hers still hate Obama/Clintons, but Trump is no longer a hopey-changey, deal-maker icon.
Seriously, I don’t get your point.
The Trumpers who are upset have no meaning in relation to the Hegemonic menace that is now at play in the world. Those voters are an irrelevancy for now.
Trump and his advisers are being pushed to use any military weapon to alter the geopolitical setting of “powers”.
The progress made by China and Russia is the target. Rolling back the multi-polar movement, separating the China-Russia partnership, containing both China and Russia are the goals of the Hegemon.
Trump has accepted (for whatever reasons) the use of the most powerful and strategic non-nuclear weapons for geo-political goals and for his own domestic reasons. He is otherwise a very trapped and limited President. The Deep State has him hooked, and the Globalists are reversing all his national populism efforts.
The serious part of this is the Hegemon, not the loss of the Trump. In a few days, not only has all possible change in foreign policy been reversed, but a more wild and reckless Hegemon is operating all over the globe with enormous firepower and more in waiting.
Under the waters of the Sea of Japan are several Ohio class subs. They can flatten most of the cities of North Korea while everyone is looking at the carrier task force and the rest of the armada ships from Japan and Australia. Each sub has 154 cruise missiles, nuclear capable, and no one will see the subs that launch them.
Would the Hegemon do this?
Look at Syria and Afghanistan.
The story of the changes in Trump is the Deep State unleashing the Hegemon again.
No President controls the Hegemon. It’s a robotic ideologic avatar that kills and destroys. The one command everyone hears from the robot is “surrender”.
Recognize that the Syrian event does not move the needle toward victory for the US. And the MOAB bomb in Afghanistan does not move the needle toward victory for the US there, either.
In neither case are these changing the war on Terror. They are signals of Hegemony.
Realize, if 59 Tomahawks were fired at China or Russia, or a MOAB dropped on China or Russia, the world would be ending about 15 minutes later. So these weapons are designed to terrify third world militaries and very weak vassals and regional second tier countries.
This is King Kong on the Empire State Building.
But it is working for the Deep State. That’s all that matters. They want unipolar power relations and will go to the brink of extinction to keep it, get it, maintain it.
The west always had the right to vote – but never the right to choose. All these preselected buffoons
off the deep state menu never meant to stray, never meant to have a mind of their own.
Russia is our only hope.
I have kids, and yet I agree with some of the sentiments expressed in another thread: “WW3 is a better choice than any form of the world one government”. If the demons of the deep state can have it their way – we are all doomed anyway; they will mutilate us genetically, morally and spiritually.
Jimmy’s presentation on Dresden is highly valuable, and not only that, he also has on Youtube a 5 part series on The Life of Stalin, which I found extremely valuable, since he ties together the historical context of Stalin’s life, Russian culture and sensibility, the USSR, and so on.
Highly recommended for Saker followers.
Here is part 1, there are 5 parts, all viewable on Youtube.

While parsing the self-evident aspects of this, it might be well to give a few minutes to perusing some observations on Trump’s asymmetrical thinking @ coldfury.com today.
These begin : It really is exhausting, but it is part of how Trump plays the game. It is a good reminder that traditional metrics are not much use when judging Trump the politician. It’s also why he mowed down the GOP field with a cell phone and a twitter account. It was not that he broke their rules. It was that they wasted a lot of time complaining about Trump breaking their rules. Meanwhile, Trump was out giving voters a reason to support him. It is a classic form of political distraction that Trump has adopted to the modern communication age.
Similarly, Trump is wildly unpredictable, at least he seems unpredictable. That’s a big part of how he plays the game. He wants everyone to think the range of choices for him include some collection of unknown options that no one has yet to consider. That keeps foes on the defensive, making them tentative, even when they have the advantage. By appearing to have no clear strategy and routinely breaking old habits, Trump appears to be a wild man, who is capable of anything. Therefore, there’s no way to plan for him.
The big weapon Trump has in this regard is his willingness to attack unexpectedly. He always looks to attack when everyone is sure it is foolish to do so. He went to the very pro-military state of South Carolina and called John McCain a loser for getting shot down and captured by the Vietnamese. He questioned McCain’s conduct as a prisoner. The media howled about how he went too far, but his opponents suddenly got very nervous as they realized they could never relax around Trump. He could attack at any moment.
Because this page will be replaced by a new one tomorrow, one more excerpt for those coming in late :
This will be terribly frustrating for partisans, but Trump is a goal oriented guy. The never ending circus has a point. In the case of the Syrian attack and the blow up with the Russians, it is looking like the point of it all was to play a little domestic politics, but a whole lot of international politics. The way he handled the Chinese leader last week is looking like a game to get the Chinese to do something about North Korea, in order to save face. The “Crazy Trump” act hurling missiles at Syria is excellent cover.
It’s easy to read way too much into these accounts, but the Chinese are now saying extremely bellicose things to the North Koreans. Bush and Obama used every trick they knew to get the Chinese to address the North Koreans and failed. Suddenly, the Chinese are issuing ultimatums. It could simply a be a coincidence and China has been planning to rid themselves of the Kim family for a while, but it is hard to imagine anything like this happening under the last four presidents. They lacked the boldness to try it.
None of this is to suggest that Trump is going to be good for our team, however you interpret that. It’s just that using the old metrics to assess Trump is a category error. He’s not a regular politician and these are not regular times.
For whatever it may be worth,
T-t-C
Regarding China’s present bellicosity toward North Korea: The reality prior was never like the present behavior of NK.
The Chinese has many lines of contact prior to Kim Jung Un. They had his uncle, who he killed. They had many military, who he has killed. They had many people in the Communist Party, who he has killed or imprisoned. China was left with one person, Chairman of the the CP of NK. They do not have direct talk with Kim.
And he endangers them, their social stability, their economic security, their important relationship with South Korea, their expectations for OBOR, and generally, he is now an armed with nukes menace.
So, the past did not contain the present threats. And beyond threats, there were public insults from Kim directed at Beijing leadership. The public in China is not enamored with Kim. They see him as mentally ill.
Thus, China has been discussing decapitating the government next door for well over a year. Long before Trump. Long before chocolate cake and Tomahawks.
North Korea is buffer state for China. Just like Finland is for Russia. All what matter is geopolitics.
Thanks! I completely agree with your assessment of Mr Assad’s character.
F. William Engdahl’s analyses and predictions on Trump have been proven 100% correct:

There’s certain human tendency to wildly exaggerate numbers of victims of WW2 strategic bombing. In reality less than 600 000 Germans lost their lives because those bombings. And Dresden had less than 50 000, more likely 30 000+.
The numbers of deceased Vietnamese because of American War in Vietnam (1965-75) was 967 000 +/- 100 000 according the only scientific based demographic study of Charles Hirschman, Samuel Preston and Vu Manh Loi. Those other “studies” were estimates and wildly exaggarating.
War is also lots of hype, fantasies, deaths, propaganda but as my father – WW2 veteran said – it was 98% boredom plus mentally stressing bitter feeling that your best years were ruined. 2% was scaring.
Ernesti,
I appreciate your comments and, in principle, I agree. However, in the instance, there is documented evidence that the number was about right. About 25000 bodies were counted with method. After that, the counting became impossible. Furthermore, the mayor or the person responsible to track how many Dresden citizen were missing, sent a cable message to Berlin (retrievable in the British archives, for all German cables were intercepted and documented after the breaking of the Enigma code) ) after about one month, stating that 95,000 inhabitants registered inhabitants of the city could not be traced. If we add that number the uncounted and unspecified number of refugees crowding into the city from the East, due to the close and advancing Red Army, the number does not seem an exaggeration.
Still, I think that, independently of opinions, it is important that catastrophies such as Dresden and other similar are not forgotten.
So, while the world discusses Syria it is a good time to attack North Korea
What are the Chinese going to do?
What is Russia going to do?
Both countries are certainly prepared for war and will defend their country to the death
but …. I do not think either country wants war with the US
America has sent a clear message with the attack on Syria.
China loves to foster talks, talk talk talk talk …… it buys time
America has had enough with ‘talk’
Whether we like to acknowledge it or not, America is still the top predator
Naturally it wants to remain the top predator
If America does attack North Korea then I think the response will be talk talk talk
The wild card is what hidden nuclear weapons does North Korea have and can they deliver them
….. certainly not to America
How worried would America be if a couple of nukes landed on Sth Korea or Japan? Not much,
So, while everyone is gazing and pondering the attack on Syria, and Russia’s focus is on that side of the continent, America does a neat decapitation of North Korea.
Have you seen how close North Korea is to Beijing? China will not like America in control of the whole Korean peninsular, but there is not much they can do to stop it.
After, it will be business as usual, and the eagle will preen its feathers
I have no idea if I am right or wrong, but it is an interesting thought bubble
…. time will tell
A vivid description of the firebombing of Dresden and kindred horrors here. (Oh, and the firebombing of Tokyo was even worse)
Remember the Firebombing of Dresden (What We’re up Against)

As we mark the 68th anniversary of the firebombing of Dresden, I thought I’d offer another not-too-subtle reminder of what we’re up against.
The groundwork for the barbaric assault on Dresden was laid four years prior when Marshal Arthur Harris, the director of England’s Bomber Command, decided to abandon the illusion of surgical strikes.
Nicknamed “Bomber,” Harris mastered the ins and outs of committing war crimes from his malicious mentor, Winston Churchill.
The year was 1919. The Royal Air Force asked Churchill for permission to use chemical weapons “against recalcitrant Arabs as an experiment.” Churchill, secretary of state at the war office at the time, promptly consented.
“I am strongly in favor of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes,” he explained. Bomber Harris, an up-and-coming air force officer in 1919, concurred: “They [the Arabs and Kurds] now know what real bombing means, in casualties and damage.”
“Simply a question of fashion”
Harris and Churchill teamed up again some 25 years later to execute a relentless terror bombing campaign during WWII for which neither offered any apologies nor demonstrated any qualms. “Now everyone’s at it,” Churchill said about the deliberate targeting of civilians. “It’s simply a question of fashion — similar to that of whether short or long dresses are in.”
Bomber’s attitude was best displayed when, during the later stages of the war, a motorcycle policeman stopped Harris for speeding. “You might have killed someone, sir,” came the reprimand, to which Bomber Harris replied, “Young man, I kill thousands of people every night.”
As for the Yanks in the European theater, under direct orders from President Roosevelt, U.S. bombers initially stuck to a policy of daylight precision (sic) bombing. Unlike their British counterparts, Americans did not have images of the Luftwaffe over London to motivate them towards unabashed mass murder so it took them a little longer to reach the point of targeting civilians as guiding principle.
The risks of daylight bombing runs did not pay off in accuracy — only 50 percent of U.S. bombs fell within a quarter of a mile of the target. America soon joined its English allies in the execution of nighttime area bombing campaigns of civilian targets in Germany. The saturation bombardment of Bomber Harris and his U.S counterparts resulted in at least 635,000 dead German civilians.
Day or night, the great number of shells falling where they were not aimed easily debunked the myth of precision. A July 24-25, 1944, bombing operation named COBRA called for 1,800 US bombers to hit German defenders near Saint-Lo. The planes arrived one day early and bombed so inaccurately that 25 Americans were killed and 131 wounded-causing some U.S. units to open fire on their own aircraft.
The next day, with the American soldiers withdrawn thousands of yards to avoid a repeat performance, the bombers still missed their mark and ended up killing 111 GIs and wounding nearly 500 more.
“In order to invade the Continent,” says historian Paul Fussell, “the Allies killed 12,000 innocent French and Belgian civilians who happened to live in the wrong part of town, that is, too near the railway tracks.”
In 1945, Britain and America added fuel to the already simmering fire.
“A new kind of weather”
On Feb. 13-14, 1945, Allied bombers laid siege to the German town of Dresden — once known as “Florence on the Elbe.” With the Russians advancing rapidly towards Berlin, tens of thousands of German civilians fled into Dresden, believing it to be safe from attack. As a result, the city’s population swelled from its usual 600,000 to at least one million.
Following up a smaller raid on Hamburg in July 1943 that killed at least 48,000 civilians, Winston Churchill enlisted the aid of British scientists to cook up “a new kind of weather.” The goal was not only maximum destruction and loss of life, but also to show their communist allies what a capitalist war machine could do… in case Stalin had any crazy ideas.
An internal Royal Air Force memo described the anti-communist plans as such:
“Dresden, the seventh largest city in Germany and not much smaller than Manchester, is also [by] far the largest unbombed built-up area the enemy has got. In the midst of winter, with refugees pouring westwards and troops to be rested, roofs are at a premium, not only to give shelter … but to house the administrative services displaced from other areas … The intentions of the attack are to hit the enemy where he will feel it most … and to show the Russians when they arrive what Bomber Command can do.”
There was never any doubt on the part of the Allies exactly who they would be bombing at Dresden. Brian S. Blades, a flight engineer in a Lancaster of 460 (Australian) Squadron, wrote that during briefings, he heard phrases like “Virgin target,” and “Intelligence reports thousands of refugees streaming into the city from other bombed areas.”
Beside the stream of refugees, Dresden was also known for its china and its Baroque and Rococo architecture. Its galleries housed works by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Rubens, and Botticelli.
On the evening of Feb. 13, none of this would matter to the Greatest (sic) Generation.
“The flames ate everything organic”
Using the Dresden soccer stadium as a reference point, over 2000 British Lancasters and American Flying Fortresses dropped loads of gasoline bombs every 50 square yards out from this marker. The enormous flame that resulted was eight square miles wide, shooting smoke three miles high. For the next 18 hours, regular bombs were dropped on top of this strange brew.
Twenty-five minutes after the bombing, winds reaching 150 MPH sucked everything into the heart of the storm. Because the air became superheated and rushed upward, the fire lost most of its oxygen, creating tornadoes of flame that can suck the air right out of human lungs.
Seventy percent of the Dresden dead either suffocated or died from poison gases that turned their bodies green and red. The intense heat melted some bodies into the pavement like bubblegum, or shrunk them into three-foot-long charred carcasses. Clean-up crews wore rubber boots to wade through the “human soup” found in nearby caves. In other cases, the superheated air propelled victims skyward only to come down in tiny pieces as far as 15 miles outside Dresden.
“The flames ate everything organic, everything that would burn,” wrote journalist Phillip Knightley. “People died by the thousands, cooked, incinerated, or suffocated. Then American planes came the next day to machine-gun survivors as they struggled to the banks of the Elbe.”
The Allied firebombing campaign murdered more than 100,000 people — mostly civilians — but the exact number may never be known due to the high number of refugees in the area.
The “other” collateral damage
Of course, humans were not the only casualties. As the bombing commenced, Otto Sailer-Jackson, who ran the Dresden Zoo, was forced to consider the standing Nazi order that if human life was endangered, all carnivores must be shot. However, before he could take the lives of his captive cats, a new wave of bombers set the zoo ablaze.
Sailer-Jackson recalled the scene:
“The elephants gave spine-chilling screams. Their house was still standing but an explosive bomb of terrific force had landed behind it, lifted the dome of the house, turned it round, and put it back on again … The baby cow elephant was lying in the narrow barrier-moat on her back, her legs up to the sky. She had suffered severe stomach injuries and could not move.”
Three hippopotamuses were drowned when iron debris pinned them to the bottom of their water basin. In the ape house, Sailer-Jackson found a gibbon that, when it reached out to the trainer, had no hands, only stumps. Nearly 40 rhesus monkeys escaped to the trees but were dead by the next day from drinking water polluted by the incendiary chemicals. For those animals that made it to the next day, the assault was far from over. A U.S. aircraft pilot came in low, firing at anything he could see was still alive.
“In this way,” Sailer-Jackson explained, “our last giraffe met her death. Many stags and others animals which we had managed to save became victims of this hero.”
Reminders…
Please allow me to remind you that this is the war almost universally deemed “good” and the generation anointed the “greatest.”
Please allow me to remind you that that in his wartime memoirs, “Sir” Winston Churchill seemed unable to work up much emotion in recalling the Dresden assault, writing: “We made a heavy raid in the latter month on Dresden, then a centre of communication of Germany’s Eastern Front.”
Please allow me to remind you that whenever you think this particular politician or that particular government is on “our side,” it’s a good time to ponder the events in Dresden 68 years ago.
Never forget, comrades: This is what we’re up against.
