That would be true only if they are enemies. I have no doubt there are sections (large sections) of the deep state that are Trump’s enemies. But likewise there are sections of it that are his friends. I think we make a mistake to not see that. A good example is with the US pro-Israel policy. He has little support from the “secular pro-Israeli US Jewish leaders”. But they are replaced by the religious pro-Israeli US Jewish leaders. And also the pro-Israeli Christian-zionist leaders. So the end result is “more” pro-Israeli influence in the new US regime, not “less”. The same is true of other sections of the US deep state. Replacement of one criminal elite with a new criminal elite doesn’t diminish the “swamp”,it just exchanges the names of the creatures found in it.
“On Saturday, the White House said Trump during a phone conversation invited Duterte to visit Washington.
“I cannot make any definite promise,” Duterte said as quoted by The New York Times. “I’m supposed to go to Russia [trump’s betters], I’m also supposed to go to Israel [trump’s boss]”
The Philippine president added he is also expected to attend events in China [also trump’s betters] and Cambodia [evidently, also more important than trump] in the near future.”

Hahaha!!
How about “I’m kind of busy this whole year, seeing Vlad, Xi and Ben, the real power brokers, but try again in 2018 if you haven’t been impeached by then”.
Of course the very straight-talking Durante is wise not to visit the US.
I can’t find the link, but some time back the Russians offered outspoken Durante some advice on his personal safety…. They cautioned him to be careful with what he ate and drank.
They also gave advice on personal security teams.

Philippines President Duterte’s advance security team bombed in volatile region
Published: 29 Nov, 2016
…….“The truck carrying the president’s advance security detail was hit by an improvised explosive device,”…….
…..On Monday, Philippines police found a homemade bomb in a trash bin near the US embassyin Manila* ,……. Explosives experts successfully conducted a controlled detonation of the bomb…..
*In hindsight, I’d suspect this was a false flag about to go down, _ an explosion near the US embassy would have provided the ~perfect~ casus belli for some sort of “retaliation” by the US, as per their usual pattern.
Dont forget Duterte is still an US puppet.
Philippines is heavy loaded with US military bases, infiltrated with US Intelligence and the country dependent on US financial aid.
“I feel very warm toward the Oval Office…This is a special place. The White House is special. The Oval Office, very special…”
“But most importantly, you know, the decisions. Like, when I make the decision to go with Syria, the 59 Tomahawk missiles. Unbelievable technology. We have unbelievable talent. But those are tough decisions. Those aren’t, like, decisions that I’m going to buy a building—“
“Tough why?” Dickerson interrupted.
“Because it’s human lives,” Trump replied. “You’re killing people. And you can kill the wrong people, too,” he added.
“You know, those things go off and they end up in a town or they end up in a city. And you have another tragedy on your hands. So, these decisions are unbelievable – you know, in terms of the importance because it’s human – it’s…it’s…it’s killing. I hate it. But things have to be done,” Trump said.”
The sincerity is so strong, one can see it dripping on to the floor…
I can’t work out Trump, but Thierry Meyssan has not yet completely given up hope – and I have enormous respect for him http://www.voltairenet.org/en
I did physics and maths – but wanted to do computing so did. I was also interested in psychology and related subjects. I got the job I really wanted at the third attempt at the age of 19, worked hard and got promoted very quickly. The company I worked for then, and another 10 years later sent me on these Psychology based leadership training courses – first Behaviour Analysis and then Behaviour Modification.
I wouldn’t have believed it possible, but these techniques work. They are extremely powerful. They can be used for good – to motivate people to excel and achieve brilliance, or they can be used for evil to motivate people to kill and destroy.
The good people failed. Sorry. We just didn’t realise the extent of the evil of mass brainwashing. George Orwell & Aldous Huxley understood it and wrote about it, before these psychological based techniques had really been developed.
There is no defense to them, except to, for a start…stop watching TV…and maybe read Offguardian
Tony. You are right.
If you first mentally have been exposed to these techniques and mentally and emotionally accepted these, you can not get back.
But you can neutralise them.
If you mentally are able to be aware what these techniques do and how they work, you can by your awareness choose how you will deal with it.
You can then change priority inside you head, put the bombardment down to second or third priority, and mentally choose your own king of priority.
No one can then see your priority and you can deal with the bombardment of “defined realities” as superficial left hand priorities as you now have your own beacon to overrule them.
If you want to be “clean” you will need 3-5 years of de-washing in a complete different environment.
The Duran has a very interesting article up concerning Trump.Frankly I’m a little shocked by it. The scope of intelligence of what Trump has said surprised me. I’m not saying it would be possible for it to happen. But I do think, by Trump saying it,it would be breathtaking if he is serious and it happens.Trump has said he might be open to a summit meeting with Kim to settle the Korean crisis. Can you imagine the shock that would cause the US neo-cons.
“Has Donald Trump’s recent militaristic rhetoric and maneuvering really just been a prelude to ‘extreme diplomacy’ or were his remarks in today’s interview just a frivolous off the cuff remark?”
“Probably a little of both. But I think he means it.Think of the “ratings” he would get if he met Kim and worked a “deal” with him. He’d be the toast of the World. Even if the US neo-cons would be making “Trump voodoo dolls” with pins. Even the majority of the US population that doesn’t want war would be happy with him. For that to work he’d have to rely on China to force Kim into making concessions. While Trump himself would have to be willing to make concessions.I think for the chance to be the “World’s savior from nuclear war” he could be convinced to make concessions.Just think of it,Trump and Kim,together getting the Nobel Peace Prize. As foolish as that sounds,it could happen. After all stranger couplings have gotten it (well maybe not stranger, but close). Even the warmonger Obama got one.”
I’ll add that if China was able to arrange something like that. And it was constructive.Their prestige in the World would be advanced greatly too.But one problem, that I’m not sure about should be considered.Just how stable is Kim’s rule in North Korea. Can he afford to leave the country for a summit like that.Would he be afraid of being overthrown while he was gone.We know so little of politics in North Korea, that that may be a valid concern. As far as I know he has never left North Korea since assuming power. Even when he was invited to Moscow for the 2015 Victory Day ceremonies, where he would have been with Putin and XI in front of the whole World. He didn’t go. So just how secure is his grip on power in North Korea. Can he afford to take that risk. Even if the results could make him a World hero to millions.
In fact, the US has been technically at “war” since the Iraq Gulf War. The War on Terror is considered an active military conflict since that time. There was a great upsurge in pro-war sentiment after 9/11. Since that time the US has been heavily involved militarily in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. These conflicts persist and have taken a heavy toll on US military personnel. I am very skeptical that any significant percentage of the population wants an increase in US military involvement abroad.
Moreover, although the sentiment of the populace isn’t really important, military manpower of the US isn’t unlimited. They’ve already tapped out a lot of resources as it is: mercenaries, special forces, women in combat roles. There is little capacity to expand conflict.
I like Uncle Bob’s take on Trump and North Korea. I’ve been saying that for some time now. I frequently send love to Trump to increase the chances of that happening. It fits with The Art of the Deal and Trump’s erratic behavior to keep his enemies off guard. According to Sheikh Imam Hussain, Trump needed to bomb in order to avoid impeachment. Saker was present but seems to have a different view of Trump, and most of the vineyarders here follow suit when Trump plays low trump.
I posted this link at the cafe but it illustrates the point made here perfectly :

Yup, and the stench has attracted so many flies that the white house appears grey in color at a distance.
But don’t worry, they are kosher flies.

Good point.

I agree that by now he has probably made friends with most of the swamp slimeballs.
Well,”secular” can be part of the swamp. But you are right with the “normal” part.

Tony –
The word for international distress isn’t MayDay. It is “m’aider”. That is French for “help me”.

Sorry but I’m with the impression that that majority is now wanting war and supporting the MIC as their economic spearhead.
Interesting times, methinks.
