I agree with Saker that Trump’s impression of the good condition of the US economy is largely a mirage produced by official statistics that have long been unreliable. The bad data fed to Trump is not his fault. I also agree with The Saker that the truth in Trump’s letter is its characterization of the impeachment.

It is as if the collective American emotional body just wants to vomit up everything such a graceless, insensitive right wing Republican represents that they are easy prey for the dark force propaganda which attacks him on behalf of the imperialism of the deep state. The friends I live with find his personality and politics so objectionable that they are emotionally unable to believe anything good about him and they become easy prey to the propaganda line of his opponents. And these are intelligent caring people who think they are enlightened. The propaganda works so well on the emotions of well meaning people.
I choose to give the Anglo-Zionist-American empire an A plus for skill in mind control propaganda. No one else comes close.
However we are indeed fortunate that the human mind is not the highest power available to humanity.

Katherine; Hi – what is TDS? The friend I have in mind re above once admitted to me that the reason he hates Trump so much is that he reminds him of himself. The merit being my friend desires to purge himself of his worst American style Trump like personality characteristics, but alas, he was born and raised in Chicago to an abusive mother and alcoholic father, so he unfortunately shares some of Trump’s worst character traits. And he being a life-long Democrat. My sense of Trump is that he personifies in his style of being the worst traits of the ugly american male and amps them up to an intolerably in your face degree. So how many people in this land have a secret desire to rid themselves of the characteristics of the ugly American? They are all going to feel so confronted within themselves by Trump holding up a mirror to expose them to a sense of their own ugliness. It seems like a purgative form of psychotherapy en mass. But ok, OT. The point of the Saker and PCR is, that the MSM have lots of opinions about the Nurse Ratched (aka Nancy Pelosi) letter of Trump, but mainly ‘forget’ to publish it to the public?
I’m of te opinion -and I have stated this here in another thread- that this impeachment circus is pathetic, and so is his letter, but that is simply my opinion and I’ve read this letter. Do we really think that people will take the effort to read it? And that is the whole point. USA based commentators, please correct me on this when needed, but is it my impression only that this whole circus is kind of scary?
I get -again- the same feeling of one of my favourite TV series, NCIS original, when Leroy Jethro Gibbs get some complicated forensic evidence, grows some misty looks in his eyes and asks ‘what the hell am I looking at?’
I get the feeling that this even more idiot than the Brexit circus.

Donald Trump is not going to be impeached because the Senate is under the political control of the elephant wing of the Republicrat Party.

Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in their vote on the two Articles of Impeachment. The next step in the process is for Trump to be tried in the Senate, after which a vote will be held to convict and thus remove him from his position as POTUS. No sitting POTUS has ever been convicted, the closest being Nixon, who was told by his partisans in the Senate that there were already enough votes to convict prior to the trial being held; so, he resigned. Andrew Johnson and William Clinton are the only other POTUS to be impeached, but neither was convicted.
