My understanding is the US is pulling it’s fleet out of the Persian Gulf for ‘maintenance’ even as Sen John McCain, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, who wanted air support for the Libyan mercs we hired to kill Gadaffi (who then moved to syria with Libya’s looted weapons as the US DoD watched idly), ‘said on Thursday that Washington should “just leave” Syria “if all of your [US] actions are dictated by the risk of confrontation with Russia.”
This is funny.
On Putin’s birthday Russia launched 26 cruise missiles into Syria. The next day or so the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt is exiting the Persian Gulf and at least for a while there will be no US aircraft carriers there. The funny coincidence is that president Theodore Roosevelt was 26th US president.
I am delighted that someone at long last discovers the humourous side of making (preparing) world wars. Seems Anonymous of 15-10-12_04:44 thinks similarly as you, Anomymous of 15-10-11_02:22 – very funny, indeed. Yes, Putin indulges from time to time in playing number/date games with the maneaters of AngloAmerica, while the Chinese did not yet prove that such coincidences please them enough for creating some themselves.
If you really want to ROFL, I propose observing The Queen of Europe, aka Angela Rotschild-Schicklgruber – she (or her handlers = MOHH) cannot live without this kind of humour. I repeat what I wrote before sometimes, hoping you will expand on it: at the occasion of her 55th birth jubilee MOHH made Merkel fanboi Medvedev serve her three fresh corpses of human rights activists killed for the occasion in the Caucasus; at the occasion of her 10th jubilee in office she had her slave Donald Tusk serve her from Smolensk 98 corpses of that kind of Poles that had often annoyed her before, but nevermore afterwards; at the 65th jubilee of the happy landing of her probable father, A.R.-Sch. I., in South America after weeks in a stinking U-boat, she and her cronies on a cool but sunny Berlin morning played a sort of pilgrimage sketch to let all the bystanders (two persons) know that the saving of the life of her father was an important jubilee event for her, so that everybody might know who her family is (no Poles from Poznan, in any case), and at her 60th birth jubilee she made someone (allegedly the Novorussians, but according to her Putin personally) serve another 300 corpses somewhere in Ukraine, and she let it be known worldwide that BuK (Bundes-Kanzler) was the decisive force behind this, uh, coincidence.
So, what all WW humourists are called upon is to predict or to bet about the joke, MOHH will crack on 15-11-22, the 10th jubilee of her being führeress of the AA colony of Germland. The number of corpses served should rise again, but my school math is to weak to make a scientific prediction on this curve.
Russian helicopters: This video is from a hostile site with disparaging comments but worth looking at and disregarding the obvious clueless remarks. If anything expect more game changers from Russia and lots more whining from the bullies. It appears that these helicopters are used for patrol and fly very close to the ground for rousting out nests of inflltrators Manpads? well, it is clear where that escalation will go…do we hear the word Yemen anyone? With the Israelis savaging Gaza again anything can happen.
Scottish nationalist leader Nicola Sturgeon said on Sunday that a referendum will be all but inevitable if Britain decides to leave the European Union.
Sturgeon, whose Scottish National Party (SNP) took nearly all parliamentary seats in Scotland in Britain’s election on 7 May, emphasized that no one should stand in the way if Scotland wants another vote on union with England.
She further emphasized that she had been disappointed when Scots voted in favour of rejecting independence last year, but respected the result.
The Syrian Army is moving toward Salmaa with an eye toward wiping out the remnant scum, most of whom are Chechens. The RuAF and the SAAF are very active over this area destroying terrorist infrastructure. Yesterday and today, 3 warehouses storing weapons and ammunition were set ablaze by air-to-ground missiles. In the process of softening up the area, the SAA conquered and liberated the town of Jubb Al-Ahmar. This is a very highly-situated town looking down on to the Ghaab Plain of both Hama and Idlib. The SAA is now digging in to prevent any relapse. But, it is completely rat free and represents a major setback for the terrorist filth. It was attacked from 3 axes: Jubb Al-Ghaar, Usitriyyaa and Kitf Khaleel.
It looks like the US does not want to use its aircraft carriers anymore. May be the US Military is very impressed of what has happened on the 30th of september 2015.
By the way has anybody an idea why the defense minister of Saudi Arabia meets President Putin ?
Wonder what kind of missile they’re using.
Has to be a guided missile they’re using.
At any distance beyond a few km, any ship is barely a dot size target, & odds of hitting it at all using just a volley of some katyushkas from the back of a truck are slim to none.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Yemeni army and Ansarullah revolutionary forces fired rockets at a Saudi-led coalition warship and destroyed it near al-Mukha coast in the Yemeni province of Ta’iz.
Informed sources also said on Saturday that the warship named “al-Mahrousa” belonged to the Egyptian army.
On Thursday, Yemeni army and popular forces also fired missiles at a Saudi warship, and destroyed it in Bab al-Mandab Strait.
The warship was wrecked off the Southwestern coast of Yemen, in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.
carrier is primarily an offensive ship, it cannot survive modern method of anti-ship machine. logical to remove ship and escorts in order to avoid loss of ships, if one assume that intent is to start W3… otherwise ships would remain…. this is a very sad thing to observe, and you bet Ivan sees it that way.
A question to the mods. I posted the first news coverage of USS Theodore Rossevelt leaving the Persian Gulf the other day. It was submitted to moderation and it never appeared.
is this the comment you are referencing it was posted 36 hours ago??
Thanks HS but that’s not the one. I posted a very short comment, the link to the Reuters article and a couple of paragraphs from the article that were submitted for moderation.
A glitch somewhere?
The carriers appear to be consolidated around the U.S., being an offensive instrument primarily used against countries without any air power this is quite unusual. One would think the carriers should be staged around any geopolitical threats, excluding major powers for obvious reasons. I often see these maps here, but don’t quite understand the importance of carrier locations and movement especially in regard to China and Russia. In a serious conflict between great powers carriers are essentially useless. Could the exit of the carrier from the Persian Gulf be indicative of a potential escalation of violence in the region, that is to say the U.S. wants to protect their naval assets?
Carrier Battle Groups have two main foes – Cruise Missiles and Boat (Submarines). U.S. Carriers have repeatedly lost to Boats in war-games over the past thirty or so years. I suspect the same result has been shown in war-games involving Cruise Missiles.
Looks like they’re intentionally setting up a High Noon confrontation, possibly where the USN carrier Roosevelt is headed, not to “repairs” leaving the Gulf first time since 2007 no patrolling carrier.
OCT 24, Chin’s double Day of Infamy 1844 & 1860, is 2 Saturdays hence.
There are some updates on carriers since the 7th Oct but links to MSM are now being binned….Pity.
He he, I notice that a carrier group has headed to China to take up a threatening pose in the South China Sea. Some more target practice, perhaps?

Wow! First time I have ever heard that man say anything sensible. First time for everything… 8-)
