On the anniversary of people of Qom’s January 9, 1978 uprising, thousands of people from Qom met with the Leader of the Revolution—Ayatollah Khamenei—this morning January 9, 2019.
In this meeting, the Leader of the Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, reminded his audience of the days when the authorities of the United States praised the dictator of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and supported him against the Iranian nation and how U.S. calculations about Iran failed. He stated: On December 31, 1977, the U.S. president of the time flew to Tehran where he delivered a speech, admiring Muhammad-Reza. In this speech, he said Iran was the ‘Island of Stability’, which meant the U.S. had no worries with respect to the submissive regime in Iran. Barely ten days after this speech, the people of Qom rose up against the client regime and fought with no fear of death. Then, the people of Tabriz rose up and launched a great movement, and the following movements put an end to the client regime.
Referring to yet another example of U.S. authorities’ predictions about the Islamic Republic failing, the Supreme Leader held: This is how the U.S. estimates the situations; the U.S. politicians brag about their calculations and foresight. Here also some individuals who are under the influence of the West boast about the power of the U.S. However, just recently in a gathering of terrorists and thugs, one U.S. official said that he hoped he would celebrate this Christmas in Tehran. Christmas was some days ago [and it is over now]! Just like Saddam said he would defeat Tehran in a few days, or the MEK terrorists who said they would move on to Tehran in 3 days.
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the authorities of the United States shallowly boast about their audacity and said: Some U.S. politicians pretend they are mad—which, of course, I do not agree with; however, they are first-rate idiots.
Ayatollah Khamenei described the 1978 uprising of the people of Qom as “lining up two systems of calculations and two ideologies against one another.” He added: One of them is the failed fraudulent liberal democracy of the West and the other one is the monotheist Islamic ideology.
The Leader of the revolution went on to say: U.S. Senate imposed sanctions on Iran during the early months following the victory of the revolution and estimated that the Islamic Republic of Iran would collapse in the course of 5 or 6 months! Now, 40 years have passed since the victory of the Islamic Revolution!
The Leader of the Revolution pointed out to Imam Khomeini’s accurate calculations about the fall of Marxism and asserted: Imam Khomeini (God bless him) said he could hear the bones of Marxism break, and sometime later everyone witnessed it.
Ayatollah Khamenei described animosity practiced by the United States against the Iranian establishment as ‘typical’ and said: The animosity of the Arrogant system of the West and the U.S. against the newly emerged phenomenon of the Islamic Revolution is typical. It’s been forty years now that this young revolution has been continuing to grow and becoming powerful. So with the emergence of this new and vigorous spiritual power, the power of the Front of Arrogance has cracked and the crack is deepening.
Imam Khamenei then said: When the truth is present the falsehood trembles. They see they have come to a dead end; whereas, Islam and religious democracy is growing day after day.
Ayatollah Khamenei attributed the hostility of the arrogant powers to the growing power of the Islamic Revolution, stating that: The reason behind their animosity is that the Islamic Revolution is preparing the grounds for an Islamic civilization, which will—in case it becomes fruitful—by the grace of God put an end to the arrogance, oppression, and colonization, which feed on the blood of other nations. The nations across the world—even the Western nations—bear no hostility against the message and the ideal of the Islamic Revolution. They might try to create Iranophobia and Islamophobia, but they won’t succeed.
His Eminence compared the hostile opponents of the Islamic Revolution of Iran to the Pharaohs and stated: Those who are opposed to the Islamic Revolution are the world’s pharaohs. Based on the Quran, Pharaoh knew that Prophet Moses (a.s.) was right. God has said He is with you. Every one God is with will be victorious. If we rely on God’s promise, our victory is certain and absolute. Wherever we retreated and acted weakly, we did not win.
Ayatollah Khamenei slammed American authorities praising Saudi Arabia for ‘observing human rights’ while criticizing Iran on the same matter and mentioned: Some U.S. officials are like clowns. A U.S. authority had said a while ago that Iran should learn from Saudi Arabia how to observe human rights. What can we name such a person but clown? In face of nonsensical words of the American officials, you should be brave and act wisely. Such people’s threats, promises, and signatures are not reliable; you should mistrust them. Choose the appropriate methods wisely and advance with motivation and vigorously.
The Supreme Leader of the Revolution advised the officials of the country regarding their responsibilities and affirmed: I would like to tell the officials that firstly, they should value their own responsibilities; serving these goals, this nation, and this country is a great blessing of God. Secondly, observe the requirements of this great divine blessing. You should be vigilant not to incline to extravagance, prodigality and Taghut-like behaviors. The path is the path of Islam; we cannot act like Imam Ali (a.s.), but we should try to move in the direction of his principles. The problems of the underprivileged classes are the priority for the government officials.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution advised Iranian officials to appreciate the young generation and held: Government officials should appreciate the young people and the youth’s aspirations and ambitions. The youth’s ideas and ambitions have resolved many problems of the country.
His eminence asserted: Be grateful to the country’s domestic capacities and give special attention to the people’s livelihood. The problems of the underprivileged classes are the priority for the government officials.
Imam Khamenei praised Iran’s defensive power developing despite sanctions during 1980-1988 war against Iran, stating: U.S. officials cheer over sanctions, saying the current sanctions are unprecedented in history. Of course, their defeat will also be unprecedented.
He added: Just as sanctions during Saddam’s imposed war against us resulted in the flourishing of our domestic potentials in a way that today we are leading in our region in terms of defensive capabilities, by the Grace of God, we will surmount this stage, too. Just as Saddam was sent to hell, our enemies will also be sent to hell.

Wow! This guy talks like a third-rate actor playing a loud-mouthed school kid in a CIA-Hollywood production. Deceptive neuro-linguistic programming in every – otherwise empty – sentence. Beware Iranians, this freak is not your friend…
“U.S. officials aren’t mad, they’re first-rate idiots”
Wrong, Mr. Khamenei, all members of the US politburo are Zionist intel assets, playing first-rate idiots purely for Goy-entertaiment, as you do.
Name calling diminishes in no way the fact that the guy’s right…well, “idiot” is wrong if you delve into precise meaning…because it means somebody that does not vote… They are generally cunning but stupid and uneducated fools…and frozen inside a curated ideology that’s a product of Whitehall, not Tel Aviv.
Marya Mannes once spoke to the matter…that American pols could not pass the exam to graduate from the third grade. They are ignorant and greedy and cunning. That’s a fact. Chat with a few…ok many are also senile…Pelosi comes here to mind, with McCain, and (gasp!) Trumpie the Clown (though he’s still not drooling).
Mark Twain wrote: “Suppose a man were a politician, and suppose he was a criminal…ah! But I repeat myself!”
It has become an ideology to attribute to interchangeably Jews or Israel sinister control of the US or this or that situation. From time to time most ideologies are true…but clinging to an ideology paralyzes the speaker, friend _smr. The Jews and particularly American Jews and the creation via MI6 etc of “Israel” in our lifetime is a vast intelop gone wild…who divided “Palestine”? Who broke off “Transjordan” from Palestine? The UK, not Jews or a non-extant statelet…
I see blame as useless, don’t you? But blaming Israel and/or Jews is just what City of London wants…a way to control you. The Jews and Israel may be witting helpers, but they’re being used by CoL Don’t fall for ideological paralysis by accepting the intelop. It blinds you.
_smr,
If the Zionists are so smart – i.e. not idiots – then how come they were defeated by the Hezbollah.
Now, the Hezbollah are in a position to close down every port and airport in Israel. Planes cannot take off when the airport no longer functions. So what is the use of a magnificent air force?
That my dear _smr is the height of idiocy. It was totally avoidable – had Israel left Lebanon alone and not invaded that country twice.
The fact that the Zionists control Washington is almost irrelevant in this context.
An interesting point is how a society chooses its leaders and high officials.
Just blind random chance will occasionally produce good leaders. Not often, but occasionally.
At this time, the USA is a highly corrupt society. The one thing that really doesn’t matter in who gets to rise to the top is talent and competency. Those people are regularly pushed aside by those who buy positions. Money buys almost anything. A bit of scheming to pick the correct horses to back in political games helps. So does a talent for blackmail. But, as to actual talent to do the job, in modern America it is rare for such people to rise above mid-management. In fact, human nature says that the people lacking talent who otherwise buy, scheme or blackmail to get a promotion then feel threatened by any who have real talent and will work to sabotage their careers. What is completely missing throughout the modern American system is any sense of honor or duty to a nation or a company which would then install a sense that perhaps the best people should be picked and promoted to positions of responsibility.
Such a society gets the leadership it deserves.
Iran ranks first in science in the region and is getting ready to launch 2 satellites into orbit in the coming weeks.
All this, while dealing with “unprecedented sanctions”.
For Iran to acheive all this, including first rate domestic arms production, while dealing with these illegal sanctions, is really remarkable.
Iran is essentially fighting with one arm tied behind its back, but still managing to defeat its opponents.
Contrast this with Israel, that gets at least $4 Billion in US aid annually -or approximately $11 Million per day, and what do ypu get?
Iran is unstoppable.
The US is only accelerating its own decline by foolishly trying to “contain” Iran at Israel’s request.
Hopefully this year, 2019, Iran will be allowed to become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization SCO, and continues to move from strength.
Selah
Iran has a point of view – She’s seen ’em come, and seen ’em go… So what was up when by signal flag and sailing ship and camel-born post the news of USA might have come to Persia?

Much the same may be said for Russia and China…
Will the US stop “accelerating its own decline” and instead show good sense as Xerxes did at Salamis?
I guess she might do so…
