I just saw this great photo of Putin with the President of Argentina, Kristina Fernandez de Kirchner:
Nice couple, no?
Seriously, I just wanted to share this photo with you because I have a soft spot in my heart for Argentina were I spent the happiest days of my childhood (I still speak Spanish with a funny mix of two accents: Russian, of course, and the accent of Buenos-Aires locally known as cantito porteño). And though I have not been to Argentina for many years now, I still “carry” Argentina inside me, especially in the music I listen to at home (Piazzolla, of course, but also Sui Generis, Eduardo Falu, Mercedes Sosa, and many many others). Part of me will always be in Argentina and Argentina will always be a part of me.
I also want to share with you a great recording of a concert of traditional Argentine folk music which brought together some of the best modern artists of that genre. FYI – Argentina has many sub-cultures, one very specific of Buenos-Aires, another one of the north of the country, yet several other ones of the regions of the Andes mountain ranges. The roots of these sub-cultures include, of course, the native Americans, but also music from European immigrants (mostly from Italy, but also from Spain, Jews from Russia, Germans, English, Poles and many other parts of Europe). What you hear in this concert is the music of the immense Argentinian plains, the “pampas”. These are mostly very traditional styles (called zamba, chacarera, milonga, chamame, etc.) original to Argentina. Just ignore the rather useless and completely out of place pseudo-ballet dancing during intro to the concert. But 5 minutes in, the “real deal” starts!
I hope that you will enjoy this concert!
The Saker
I also love Argentina.I hope they can be the great prosperous nation they should be.And were at the start of the last century.
OT,I read a funny (and hopefully telling) report at Fort Russ:
Sergey Shoygu’s twitter feed: “I liked Shariy’s post. I’m warming up tank engines. Don’t look for me, Gerashchenko, I’m coming right now.”
This is in reference to Gerashchenko’s threat, reported on yesterday’s blog survey, that from now the MVD will be recording IP numbers of those who like Shariy’s facebook posts.
And then he said, “I’ll find you through your IP number!”
Good Saker, do you know the music of Los Panchos?
Do you mean these Los Panchos ?

that’s funny Uncle Bob…and Saker, I also love the photo…she looks happy and so does Putin. I guess they’re ‘on the same page’.

I Love Argentina too!
A perfect match.
A real man and a real woman, y poderosos tambien!
She seems to be a nice lady.
Hope they are real friends,
as there are no real allies until the interests do not match,
remember the lessons of Machiavelli…the less allies the USA ruled by neocons have, thebetter for Russia even without open support of any nation.
Indeed what is the historical experience of allies of Russia and what is to be expected nowadays.
That could be a nice topic for TheSaker to elaborate. And not limiting himself to Novorossia, Syria, Serbia but going back to USSR and even Tsar times….
Thank you in advance for analysis or any useful links appreciated by any of you.
Holy Toledo!!!
I knew that the Saker and I have something significant in common!!!
Well, when the you (Saker) see you-know-what hit the fan (i.e., 2nd much bigger 9/11 for the “shock and awe”, DOW falls more than 1000 points, another USS Liberty false flag by Israel, Ukies launch a major offense in Southeastern Ukraine and crossing over into Russia, the Korean Peninsular goes “hot”, etc.), take a direct flight from Miami to Buenos Aires with your family for a “little vacation”.
It’s a 10-hour direct flight to . . . Safety and Paradise (at least the Patagonia region for the latter).
For the rest of you guys and gals out there, here are some great reasons why you should be thinking about escaping to Patagonia, Argentina:

Thanks,
first I stopped reading already after a few words as soon as I saw that there is a lot of Ukrainians who already have escaped to Argentina…
what is the use to escape from Europe if one should meet the scum of it again (and there really is no such underdeveloped, corrupt and criminal country as Usraine, they did nothing for 23 years for their own country – only sucked Russian energy and discounts, and now they are only destroing own Donbass citizens and begging West for help) then I just skipped the first 4 pages of hyperlink 1 document and it was interesting.
Argentina is truly the immigrant nation of the world.
So we have a few Ukies (and they are as bad and as crude as their counterparts in Kiev), what’s the big deal?
There are a lot of Jews in Buenos Aires.
There are a lot of Germans (not like the occupied and circumcised ones in Germany) in Patagonia.
That’s the beauty of beautiful Argentina!!!
Putin looks so proud and happy here with Kristina Fernandez de Kirchner, and he is so deserving…
Viva Argentina!!
Viva la Musica!!

A message to Saker and all Serbs
From now on stop spreading propaganda against the Roman Catholics…
Or what? You will genocide us all ad majorem Dei gloriam? Denounce us to the Inquisition? Get the Opus Dei to ruin us?
These times are over, pal, you have handed over your dominions to the AngloZionists whom you now serve. I know that you hate it when we mention your sordid past, but tough luck – we remember it all.
The Saker
Real enemy of Russia is not catholics but non-religious English nation and Wasps whose protestatism is basically a Nazism. So please do not dilute yor strength targetting those who are not that much danger to you or to your religion.
“A message to Saker and all Serbs

Calm down and be of good cheer, this blog is full of those who seek truth, and reason, and of dispellers of propaganda. Of like minds we are, millions of us, far and wide, who fear nothing, and right now, are in Sakers global sandbox…
The Saker plays well with others. He lets everyone play in his sandbox!
Exactly.
Well, I was born in Rosario and spent most of my first six years there and in BA. I have happy memories and still love eating steak! My favourite sports star is Del Potro. Viva Argentina!
Oíd, mortales, el grito sagrado:
“¡Libertad! ¡Libertad! ¡Libertad!”
Oíd el ruido de rotas cadenas
ved en trono a la noble igualdad
Errr… this Argentinean legend is kind of missing in Saker’s list…

Can’t discuss Argentinean music artists without mentioning the greatest one of them all ;-)
.
And for something more contemporary, here’s a somewhat humorous fusion of “chamame” [traditional folk music] and rock:

Wonderful!
Who in his right mind doesn’t love Argentina?
A country that has the cultural, human and resource base to be significant player in its region (after Brazil of course)
Latin American as a whole is only second to China in its potential as a major economic region of the planet. With a population of more than 600m and a GDP of almost 6 trillion $ (and significant room for growth) Russia (and China of course) can do much worse than gain a significant foothold in this region and top it all off, at the expense of the US and the EU.
Arjentina! Arjentina! Arjentina!

Now, That is an excellent concert, also brought to our awareness new artists.
Thank Saker
That was an excellent concert.
Also introduced us to new artist. Excellent choice
Thank you Saker
The problem is that in Argentina, 50% or more of the people are pro-yankee or heavily influenced by USA and West European mind colonialism.
