On the evening of August 4th, a massive explosion rocked the port of the Lebanese capital of Beirut, causing devastating damage and leaving thousands of casualties. The explosion sent a shockwave across the city and blew out windows up to 10 kilometers away. It was felt as far away as Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea.
As of the morning of August 5th, the number of reported fatalities exceeded 100, with at least 4,000 people reported injured. At least 48 staff members of the United Nations and 27 members of their families were among the injured. 10 rescuers involved in the operation to contain the damage and to help people have been reported killed.
Initial reports suggested that the explosion may have been caused by an incident in the firework storage area. However, later, Lebanon’s Prime Minister Hassan Diab said that 2,750 metric tons of ammonium nitrate, which is typically used as an agricultural fertilizer, had been stored for six years at a port warehouse without proper safety measures, “endangering the safety of citizens.”
This statement was backed by General Security chief Abbas Ibrahim, who said a “highly explosive material” had been confiscated years earlier and stored in the warehouse, just minutes’ walk from Beirut’s shopping and nightlife districts.
It is still unclear what caused the explosion itself thus laying the ground for various speculations in mainstream media outlets and on social media platforms. In particular, reports suggested that a number of Hezbollah members were in the port area at the moment of the explosion. This immediately caused reports that this may have been a result of some Israeli attack, for example sabotage actions or a somehow unnoticed missile strike, and that the site of the explosion was in fact a part of the Hezbollah military infrastructure.
The Israeli Defense Forces did not officially comment on these speculations. Israeli media, which are often eager to promote supposed Israeli military victories, claimed that Israeli forces did not attack Beirut. In their turn, Hezbollah denounced reports that the explosion happened on one of their sites saying that there was no Israeli attack on August 4.
Nonetheless, it seems that the US leadership has a quite different point of view. Commenting on the situation after a meeting with military officials, President Donald Trump claimed that the incident was an attack. “They seem to think it was an attack. It was a bomb of some kind,” Trump said.
Whatever the real cause of the tragedy turns out to be, the Beirut explosions have already fueled tensions in the region. And despite comments by Hezbollah and Israeli media that it was not a military incident, the warring sides are actively accusing each other. Comments by the US President about a supposed attack on the Beirut port do not make the situation any easier.
Taking into account the recent series of military incidents on the Israeli-Lebanese contact line, and in the Israeli-occupied area of the Golan Heights, any new border provocation may easily lead to a larger escalation. The years of war propaganda and military confrontations together with increased tension within Israeli and Lebanese society respectively have already created conditions in which a further, even small, military incident may appear to be enough to provoke a larger war in the region. This large war is in no interest of Tel Aviv or Hezbollah because it will obviously have a devastating impact on both Israel and Lebanon. In this light, it is especially interesting that the Trump administration is making statements that would contribute to this scenario. There is a chance that in a time of a deepening social and political crisis in the US on top of a complicated economic situation in the runup to the next US Presidential election, some hotheads may believe that a new, theoretically ‘victorious’ war in the Middle East, could help them to remain in power.
Perhaps the lessons for Lebanon to learn are these:
1. If the port of Beirut really is critical to Lebanon’s economy and food supply chains, then minimising the probability of massive explosions might be a good warehouse occupancy criterion moving forwards.
2. A bomb is not a reason to accede to IMF demands, it is an opportunity, if appropriate, to move forward with alternative financial arrangements.
3. Israelis who see the death of others as ‘a gift to Israel’ are worthy of neither admiration nor respect. They bring shame upon Jewish people…
4. There surely must come a time when Lebanon tells all those wishing to use their territory for proxy wars to have the integrity to fight wars on their own territories.
5. Storing fireworks close to ammonium nitrate may not be the wisest logistics decision ever taken.
6. Lebanon’s friends are those who come to their assistance immediately in times of national emergency….their fellow combatants are those who see such an emergency as a PR opportunity….
is this true or false?
“It takes a lot of heat to get Ammonium Nitrate to jump.”540c” kind of heat.. “If” it was Ammonium Nitrate, it would of needed one hell of a “kick” to get it to let go. being it is one of the safest explosives used in Mining. Stable as a brick house. Like, we used to pack it with powergel plugs to make it Jump. Very very stable.. Fire wont set it off.. it will just burn. Nitrate. well, again, it needs almost 540c to make it jump. – how long does it needs that heat though ?”
Gee, minutes before, a building with Fireworks began exploding its content. Some of those fireworks flew all over the area. Thus, very likely, they were the igniters of the ammonium nitrate cache.
The reason why there are so many cellphone videos of the big explosion is the smaller fireworks explosions were going off right next door prior to the big blast.
2+2=4.
Fireworks exploding + Ammonium Nitrate storage = KABOOM!
Also, gasses buildup in buildings where such materials are stored for 6.5 years. That envelop of gas would facilitate ignition.
Sure “firerorks”.
It is well known Lebanese love “fireworks”.
2650 tons of annonium nitrate taking 6 years long nap in the port. Because the Chemical was “sized” on board a boat.
Sure…Some bring close 3000 tone of chemicals in Lebanon.
And it is sized !
Because it is well known that ammonium notaire is subkectvyo trafficjing and there is no kick back in Lebanon !
Gee !
The whole accudent story is literally unbelievible and ridiculous.
Could be, Larchmonter 445, however I remain unsatisfied with that hypothesis until the video(s) in question:
/beware-of-sensationalism-clickbaiting-and-crazy-rumors-beirut-was-not-a-nuclear-explosion/#comment-839720
…are proven fake.
The reason I say “video(s)” is that the one I viewed this morning from commentor “Bone” could conceivably be a different video from the one I featured from Quite Fankly……as several video cameras/cell phones could have been trained on the area between the first explosion and the Big- Ka-BOOM:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ER3VlEOracQ&feature=youtu.be
Is this Bone Video the same one as Quite Frankly ran with the baby blue circle attempting to show the aerial object……………or a distinctly OTHER video???
If other……. that would seem to indicate neither is fake.
Update:
Tore Says ………it was an observation drone…..but has a LOT of other evidence “FIRES EVERYWHERE….” (other parts of the world…”clowns in coverup mode”.
https://youtu.be/RDbkgPafyOs?t=12761
AND…..a key Lebanese Minister “shot in the head” at the same time as the IMPLOSION.
Together with resignations…the King of Spain leaving Spain being a part owner of at least one of the vessels, etc, etc, etc, etc
Makes more sense than ‘bad luck”.
That makes sense. Even without fireworks, due to intense fire, the AN bags closest to the fire might have started to explode, until the whole bunch detonated. Looking at available footage, we can notice what looks like an explosive chain reaction, a succession of increasingly powerful explosions in the few seconds preceding the blast.
You were never a miner were you?
There are a 1001 ways the fire could have been started intentionally. There’s no need to complicate the speculation with unnecessary assumptions. Simplest explanation is that one of the welders on site was corrupted. It could have been as simple as dropping a lit cigarette. The mere presence of the bomb on the dock for 6 years over the objections of responsible port authorities is all the evidence anyone should need to know that this was not an innocent accident.
“Simplest explanation is that one of the welders on site was corrupted”
Given that one is assuming here that the welder would have had to have lit up his “torch” personally, thus knowing he was about to turn into dust, it seems unlikely.
Maybe Islamic Extremists are getting more sophisticated, and have moved away from suicide self-bombers to suicide mass killers – but it seems unlikely.
Again, as with the video of a UFO travelling in to the target site with it exploding instantly, the first thing to do is to examine related possibilities – until this is done, nothing can be concluded about the cause.
And once again, as with 9/11 and the GovProp promotion of airplanes etc; as with JFK and the Magic bending bullet GovProp; as with Covid-1984 and insanity of mass social isolation and shut down leading to economic destruction, we have to go to non-Gov scientists, to experts in fields, to published known scientific facts, and deduce from there before we start accepting anything.
I like the way you think, Pamela.
I was unable to find any update from Tore Says, until right now:
https://youtu.be/RDbkgPafyOs?t=12761 “Let me take you to Beirut.”
I haven’t reviewed it all yet.
But she has video looking straight down……….showing a CRATER where a warehouse and a ship (?) were.
Motive, Tore Says: Evidence Removal.…..vaporization…. no accident.
And omissions of vital data/intelligence (ship’s relation to Kolomoisky???) are no accident either.
The pictures and info re: King Carlos and Ukraine are interesting and much appreciated, but the narration is so disjointed that I was unable to decipher what, if any, points the presenter was trying to convey.
I had no problems following her overarching train of thought at all.
If you accustom yourself to a very wide variety of styles of presentation it is not so difficult to follow presenters that are very different from each other.
“The pictures and info re: King Carlos and Ukraine are interesting and much appreciated”
Youtube removed it. I do wish more people would use https://www.bitchute.com/
That Ammonium Nitrate was stored there for more than 5 years is well known. The question is who brought the fire works and when? If somebody can find that out, then surely it will lead to Tel Aviv. Fireworks were stored there (deliberately?) after it is known that Ammonium Nitrate is nearby.
They said it was sparked by a welders torch trying to get thru a metal door and into the building.
Some years ago someone musta thrown some diesel into the mix, welded the doors shut, and walked away.
Ammonium nitrate provides oxygen. But where did the carbon and or hydrogen come from? Elementary chemistry.
Ammonium nitrate has been used by farmers everywhere since WW1 when the Germans found a cheap way of making it. How often do farmers get blown up? I am referring to many millions of careless farmers.
Additionally, ammonium nitrate when mixed with a fuel that provides the carbon and hydrogen – e.g. diesel – does not explode when hit by a firework. It needs a detonator. It needs a massive localised shock.
Personally, I believe that a nuclear weapon was used by Israel. They did that for the two larger buildings on 9/11. They have no qualms about doing it to their Arabic-speaking neighbours.
The fact that the media worldwide instantly starting spreading the ammonium nitrate plus fireworks stories is a dead giveaway. It is a repeat of the virus fairy tale. Guess who controls the media? The usual suspects.
Above 300C, 2NH4NO3 –> 2N2(gas) + O2(gas) + 4H2O(gas)
(trying to use html)
2NH4NO3 –= 2N2 + O2 + 4H2O
That’s a lot of gas. Hence, explosion. H2O product is gaseous because heat.
re 3, A complete lack of shame is seen by some as a feature, not a flaw
re 5, really? Understatement is definitely your strong suit.
How likely is it that a news site that mentions an unmentionable explosive material would get banned?
Video supposedly in thermal imaging mode showing a missile? incoming.

Some thoughts from an amateur:
1. The catastrophe occurred on Aug. 4, which was 74 years and 363 days after Hiroshima. If it had occurred two days later I would say someone was sending a message. Still, it was curious timing.
2. The blast killed 140 people in Lebanon, a country of 7 million people. A comparable disaster in the US, a country of 350 million would kill 7,000 people, or twice as bad as the WTC disaster. What nation is widely suspected of involvement but never mentioned aloud?
3. A Russian ship had been “arrested” for violations seven years ago and that is where the NH4NO3 came from. Russia has been trying to develop better relations with Lebanon. Does this damage Russian relations with Lebanon? Who benefits from worsening Russian-Lebanese ties?
4. The blast cripples Lebanon, and consequently Hezbollah. Who does that benefit?
5. How widely known was the state of this bomb in waiting? How long ago was the decision made to do repairs in a vulnerable area? Who made that decision? What are their connections?
6. What natios had been conducting military operations against Lebanon? Does that country have a history of covert actions? Does that country have no collective moral responsibility to “other nations” as part of its mythos?
I am suspicious, granted; more people should be. This has the fingerprints of Temporary Rogue State all over it.
Word of caution re videos.
@partisangirl (Syrian girl) has posted a message to be careful as there are doctored videos showing an incoming missile/drone/object.
So triple-check your sources.

Btw, Syrian girl doesn’t think this was an accident.
What’s Up With All These Giant Explosions And Fires Across The World In The Last Few Days? There Are NO Coincidences In 2020
China, North Korea, Lebanon, India, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, France, UK, USA, UAE, Iran
https://strangesounds.org/2020/08/whats-up-with-all-these-giant-explosions-and-fires-across-the-world-in-the-last-few-days-there-are-no-coincidences-in-2020.html
In the spectacular Oklahoma City bombing of April 1995, which killed 168 people, injured 680, and made spaghetti of the city’s large Federal Building, only about 2 (two) metric tons of ammonium nitrate mixture with fuel oil was used.
Now compare that with the Beirut’s 2,750 tons…
True that as far as it goes. But what you think you saw at OKC (and what the media presented) was not the whole story. Just as in the airplanes for 9-11, the truck bomb at OKC was mostly a diversion as far as the destruction of the building itself. It was yet another very cleverly produced magic show put on for public consumption.
I think it is simple and conspiracy theories are not helpful.
There has been many accidents involving ammonium nitrate before, Texas 1947 being the worst. Ammonium nitrate is a fertilizer and a potent potential explosive, as with all stuff that can go boom proper handling is a necessity. Having stored this incredible amount (2750 tonnes) in a single warehouse is criminally insane, especially with previous accidents in mind.
Due to their own negligence the Lebanese mostly destroyed the still standing parts of their capital. Very sad indeed.
I do send my best wishes to the battered people of Lebanon, and I hope aid will arrive to it in its hour of need.
Den lille abe:
The elites will get their hands on disaster aid…and no doubt steal a great deal of it.
To stop such dismal corruption it is necessary to “think outside the box” a little bit from the box the majority of victims (including that box which the corrupt officials find themselves in) to discover possible avenues for society’s improvement.
This means ALWAYS discovering anomalies, singularities that provide leverage for mobilizing the knowledge, consciousness, and political will of the victimized populations of this earth to effect possible and positive change.
That can NEVER be accomplished by merely resorting to the consensus of “popular” (read: SIMPLE-minded opinion) so that a majority can console itself with agreement on a picture that is oversimplified by their corrupt rulers (“The Masters of Discourse”) and designed to present a picture so incomplete as to be False ….& Incompetent.
Virtually every discovery not attributed to pure chance…to luck….begins with some moral impulse toward discovery of additional or deeper truth…..starting with a hypothesis, then a THEORY and then tests, experiments etc that could prove or disprove that theory.
.”…..conspiracy theories are not helpful….”
Not helpful to WHAT?? Comfortable, woefully incomplete “consensus” agreement, approved by the Masters of Discourse???
If you want to disable concerted actions that are harmful to societies and nations you MUST form theories of who, what, when, where and how the harm is being done to devise and counter conspiracy …the organization of a movement …a concert of action of “breathing together” (positive conspiracies are totally possible, although the concept does sound strage to people at first) that might be effective in improving the situation.
Naturally a theory unproven, untested, unverified does almost no good in and of itself.
But arriving at a plausible theory that could be tested for either rejection or adoption in policy practice must needs be one of the very first steps toward doing anything other than “going along to get along” with anything….no matter how terrible it gets…just to fit in with “consensus opinion” which is not only almost invariably wrong……but often quite stupid!
What you have voiced is what many people felt right after 911.
Sad!
Because that was EXACTLY the frame of mind that event was designed to bring into effect.
I don’t often agree with you on much (nor care for your manners), but you’ve nailed it here.
@ Bro 93
” … to discover possible avenues for society’s improvement …”
?!?!…
Ralph Waldo Emerson observed, in his essay “Self-Reliance”:
“…
Ne te quaesiveris extra.
…
All men plume themselves on the improvement of society, and no man improves.
Society never advances. It recedes as fast on one side as it gains on the other. It undergoes continual changes; it is barbarous, it is civilized, it is christianized, it is rich, it is scientific; but this change is not amelioration. For every thing that is given, something is taken. Society acquires new arts, and loses old instincts. What a contrast between the well-clad, reading, writing, thinking American, with a watch, a pencil, and a bill of exchange in his pocket, and the naked New Zealander, whose property is a club, a spear, a mat, and an undivided twentieth of a shed to sleep under! But compare the health of the two men, and you shall see that the white man has lost his aboriginal strength. If the traveller tell us truly, strike the savage with a broad axe, and in a day or two the flesh shall unite and heal as if you struck the blow into soft pitch, and the same blow shall send the white to his grave.
The civilized man has built a coach, but has lost the use of his feet. He is supported on crutches, but lacks so much support of muscle. He has a fine Geneva watch, but he fails of the skill to tell the hour by the sun. A Greenwich nautical almanac he has, and so being sure of the information when he wants it, the man in the street does not know a star in the sky. The solstice he does not observe; the equinox he knows as little; and the whole bright calendar of the year is without a dial in his mind. His note-books impair his memory; his libraries overload his wit; the insurance-office increases the number of accidents; and it may be a question whether machinery does not encumber; whether we have not lost by refinement some energy, by a Christianity entrenched in establishments and forms, some vigour of wild virtue. For every Stoic was a Stoic; but in Christendom where is the Christian?
…
…”
I’ve seen ammonium nitrate used in the mountains to blast out rock. First they drill deep holes in the rock and pack in the ammonium nitrate. Then it is soaked with diesel fuel and a tube of dynamite, wired to a blasting cap is inserted. The cap is fired by long wires leading to a truck battery, safely out of the way.
The ammonium nitrate fertilizer seems pretty stable and even when soaked with diesel oil it still will not go off. It takes the dynamite to set it off. I suppose it would merely burn once the diesel is applied, but it certainly does not explode. Could the “fireworks” be the “dynamite” that set this thing off?

“Syrian Arab Republic. A number of settlements on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River have been taken under control by local Arab tribal militias, who opposed U$-backed armed formations and authorities”, the statement said.

Please do not forget highly contested Blok 9 gas field between Lebanon and occupied Palestine. French Italian Russian venture profitable production for late 2021.Beirut port was epicenter of activity for this much needed booster to a delapidated Lebanese economy.. Macro Macron has to protect Total interests… ie., sicko Sarkozy in Libya.. For us psychopath Anglo Zionists just business as usual. Yawn!!
Why does a government , or any organization leave something with such explosive potential in one place for six years? Six years is a long time to be incompetent and contra wise the government know the reason very quickly!!
The knew these tons of explosive material had been there for six years even though the have an enemy next door! Is it just incompetence?
Who benefitted from the explosion, and who benefits from the given explanation? What is the probability the explanation is true?
The Lebanese president has indicated that the inquiry into the recent port explosion, that laid waste to half the capital, will not be confined to just looking at it merely from the perspective that it was caused by the approximately 3 tons of Ammonium Nitrate stored at the port.
It now seems, “External interference” will also be looked at as a possible cause.
“The cause has not been determined yet. There is a possibility of external interference through a rocket or bomb or other act,” Aoun said.
Not suprisingly, the BBC and other compromised MSM outlets are strenously ignoring this new development.
Because it does not fit into the narrative thst they are trying to pitch to the public.
The MSM – just like they did with 9-11 – quickly bought the official narrative, in this case, Ammonium Nitrate as the cause and resold it to the public with unbridled enthusiasm.
Even before the fires were doused – “Mid-East experts” were popping up all over the MSM to tell us why it was the fertilizer that caused the port”s destruction – when not also hinting at a possible Hezbollah connection.
The MSM is going to great lengths to avoid mentioning the one suspect that in the past destroyed Lebanon”s infrastructure and killed its civillians and in recent times openly threatened to bomb it “back to the Stone Age”.
The name of that suspect: Israel.
The same Israel, who by deception have been waging war across the region and against its inhabitants for decades.
A thorough and rigorous inquiry is needed. One that does not from the onset rule out anyone or anything.
The 9-11 Commission refused to consider anything outside of the official narrative – this enquiry must not be allowed to do that.
Who knows, if this inquiry is allowed to be objective and truthful, we might just discover that the same perpatrators who pulled off 9-11, also have their bloody fingerprints all over this outrageous crime.
And those found guilty will be held to account by the Resistance Axis.
Selah
I used to think inquiries could somehow solve these kinds if things, but of course we all know they can’t. Such is the nature of the modern corporate main stream media narrative. Legitimate inquiries are quickly countered by illegitimate ones, by full-court press disinformation and smear campaigns questioning facts, credentials, motivations, personal peccadilloes, and all the rest. No legitimate truth can ever be found or long survive in such an environment, where every single event and shared experience in our world can be shredded infinitesimally and reconstructed in accordance with whatever agenda(s) said “reporters” are pushing; with 9-11, as the seminal example, having now become for better or worse a deeply ingrained cultural paradigm that will shape western consciousness for the rest of our days. Surely the perps were smart enough to realize all this even before the first planning session was convened.
