Information Clearing House is continuing to publish articles under the heading “Manufacturing Consent For Attack On Iran”. Here are just some of the latest ones:
- Obama Times Calling Out Iran For Impact
- Keeping Iran Honest
- Everything You Know About Iran Is A Myth
- Obama warns Iran: Won’t rule out military action
I completely agree with Tom – the attack on Iran is very much “on the table” and I wonder why he is one of the few still raising the alarm? Has everybody else really bought into the idea that Obama is about “change”?
If you are one of those who has been lured into believing that a war on Iran is now unlikely, that Obama is not “that kind of guy” – please remember who Obama’s Chief of Staff is (Rahm Emanuel) and what kind of guy he is!
No – the big difference with the Dubya team is that the folks behind Obama will take their time building a consensus for an attack on Iran, and they will only strike once the political stage is set. But make no mistake – the strike on Iran will happen.
The Saker
Obama is really proceeding at a similar pace as Bush did. Bush also obtained “consensus” among fellow Zionist dominated regimes. There actually is no difference whatsoever between the two outside of diction and ability to recite teleprompter copy.
Saker,
my guess is Iran announced this as a hint. They built what seems to be a heavilly fortified facility that may survive attack and continue to produce uranium. Perhaps the Iranians are saying “we are not making a bomb now, but if you attack us we will and you won’t be able to stop us”
That’s just my guess. The usrealis and their hangers on make a lot of noise and spin it to make sound bad because that is all they can do. Russia and china will figure out the game and move on.
It’s ok if dear leader does it but not for fratboy silverspoon Bush? Obamessiah better get some good advisers this ain’t no community organizing here buddy this is potentially W.W.III.
My impression is that war is off the table but they may be trying to work their way toward one incrementally by imposing a blockade of fuel.
I think they may try to provoke Iran into opting out of the NNPT so they can justify an all out war.
What boggles the mind, is that this is really crazy. Israel cold have peace with its neighbors and certainly need not fear an attack from Iran or Hezbollah if it minds its own business. I simply don’t understand the real “why” behind Israeli aggression.

‘In the matter of God’s religion, let no pity for them seize you’ (Qur’an 24:2)
The Islamic Republic of Iran will not be attacked. It is nothing but their vain conversations.
You may find this msm discussion between Michael Rubin, an AEI neocon hack, and Robert Baer, a former CIA analyst who wrote a book that was remade into a Hollywood screenplay, to be somewhat informative, if it is taken with a grain of salt:
Hardball: Attack on Iran on the Table?
Iran has lots of oil but not enough refineries to make gasoline. Russia and China say they will supply Iran with petrol. We are in Russia and Chinas back yard especially in Afghanistan.
Anonymous@: “Iran has lots of oil but not enough refineries to make gasoline. Russia and China say they will supply Iran with petrol. We are in Russia and Chinas back yard especially in Afghanistan”
Saker, shouldn’t there be a prove of age for your posters? I would think that they should be at least over 12.
@alibi: in fact, no. I disagree. My guess is that “anonymous” is in/from Iran and that his/her knowledge of English is actually superior to our knowledge of Farsi – so I will not hurry to make fun of it.
I think anonymous’ point was to say that Iran has vital ties with Russia and China, including in Afghanistan. I can only agree with that, though I think that Russia is far more important to Iran than China.
My 2cts.
The Saker
Maybe you’re right. I was referring to this part of the Anonymous’ post –
“…We are in Russia and Chinas back yard especially in Afghanistan…”
It sounded to me more like a threat from the US/NATO folks who might’ve thought that they had a cosy position at Russian backyard in Afghanistan. But now I think that you’re probably right and the poster was from Iran. Then it changes the whole point of the post.
My apologies to the Anonymous.
I would add that his knowledge of English is superior to mine that’s what made me think that the poster was from the West. So – I wasn’t really trying to make fun of his language. Definitely not me.
