Waiting for Yalta – 2 Part I: What the Kerry-Lavrov pact brings to the table
The U.S. only fails at everything
Children can be brutally honest, sometimes. A small son comes into his mother’s room and asks, “Mom, have you ever seen my dad naked?” And she is like, “Huh? What?” “Dad is in a shower now. Come quick and look at this horror.”
Someone recently wrote that Americans behave like naive children. If this indeed was true, now is the best time for them to take a pick at a handful of individuals who run their country and who attempt, putting it mildly, to perform a forceful violent nonconsensual act on the rest of humanity.
Take for example, the US Defense Secretary Ash Carter. I recall meeting Mr. Carter once at some fundraising event. At the time he was an Under Secretary and in charge of military procurement. In other words, he was the most important person for thousands of American companies, big and small, for whom defense contracts were the sole source of existence. An old pal of mine, a lifelong defense contractor himself, pointed him out in a crowd of governors and judges, and said, “Forget about politicians, this is the most important person for someone like myself.” I was thoroughly unimpressed. Little did I know that in a few short years, we might be looking at someone inspired to become the very last military minister of the U.S.
I wrote about him exactly a year ago, on June 10th, 2015
Europe. What Is It Good For?… Ash Carter: Europe is good for nothing…
On June 5th, 2015, after rebalancing Asia with Pacific at U.S. Africa Command headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, US Defense Secretary Ash Carter summoned top American defensive heads and diplomats to talk about Russia.
Everyone noticed that the Defense Secretary Ash Carter was “sad.” [Source]
Carter was sad, because nobody listened to him. In 2006 he advocated the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace to bomb Iran. 10 years later, Iran is still there. This past April Carter said again that “We Might Bomb Iran Even If a Peace Agreement Is Signed” [Source]
Now, Ashton Baldwin “Ash” Carter, the son of an Abingdon Memorial Hospital psychiatrist, is advocating nuking Russia, using the territory of NATO-occupied Ukraine and the territories of NATO-occupied Eastern Europe as missile launch pads. Ash Carter warns Russia on nukes: “U.S. responses must make clear to Russia that if it does not return to compliance, our responses will make them less secure than they are today.”[Source]
“The Obama administration is weighing a range of aggressive responses to Russia’s alleged violation of a Cold War-era nuclear treaty, including deploying land-based missiles in Europe that could preemptively destroy the Russian weapons.” [Source]

A lot has happened in one year. After being humiliated in the Persian Gulf and pushed out of the Middle East and the China’s Sea, after having the nuclear submarine USS Florida intercepted by a tiny Spanish coastguard boat, and after being asked to vacate the May 9th Victory day parade in Moldova, after having to lose four fighter jets in one week, including one that flew over president Obama, after having to admit that their battleships, originally designed to attack Russia on the Northern Seas, melt and stall in Mediterranean heat, after Israel asked Russia for defense security, making the US’s presence in the Middle East redundant, after all these and more “the bravest and the best” have decided that all they have to do to remedy their utter failure in everything is to break Russia’s back. Breaking down all the other independent sovereign countries will be a walk in a park, they presume.
We’re just three weeks away from NATO Warsaw Summit said to become “the most critical” since the inception of NATO. Let’s see what NATO apparatchiks have to say about this meeting, and also what the members of Russian government know about it.
Highlights
- Summit meetings are often held at key moments in the Alliance’s evolution – they are not regular meetings, but important junctures in the Alliance’s decision-making process.
- Summits are used, for instance, to introduce new policy, invite new members into the Alliance, launch major initiatives and reinforce partnerships.
- They are meetings of the North Atlantic Council at its highest level possible – that of Heads of State and Government.
- Since 1949, there have been 26 NATO summits. The last one took place in Newport, Wales, the United Kingdom, 4-5 September 2014 and the next one will be hosted by Poland (Warsaw) in July 2016.
- NATO summits are always held in a NATO member country and are chaired by the NATO Secretary General.

- Warsaw Summit – Atlantic Council March 23, 2016. As the “Wales Summit recognized, NATO faces a potential threat of attack by conventional force..”
- Nato in show of strength ahead of Warsaw summit
- Nato has begun three military exercises – Anaconda-16, Baltops and Iron Wolf 2016 – designed to show it is ready to defend its eastern allies from Russia.
The Anaconda-16 war drills in Poland is the largest of its kind since the end of the Cold War. The 10-day drill involves 14,000 US soldiers, 12,000 Polish ones and up to 1,000 British troops out of a total of 31,000 personnel from 24 nations. For the first time since WWII, German tanks cross the border into Poland.
The Baltops (Baltic Operations) exercise, which takes place every year and which also began on Monday, involves 4,500 troops in Nordic and Baltic countries. It will include hundreds of soldiers from Finland and Sweden, which are not in Nato but which are cultivating closer ties because of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.
Iron Wolf 2016 involves 5,000 troops and will take place largely in Lithuania and Latvia.
- The US is finalizing plans to switch on components of an anti-ballistic missile shield in Poland and in Romania. Poland itself is creating a 35,000-strong force of reservists.
- On June 3rd, 2016 Atlantic Council, allegedly acting as a shadow U.S. government, issued a press release under the title: Wroclaw Global Forum Concludes with Calls for Productive NATO Summit. Among expected platitude it states: “The afternoon session opened with a panel discussion on NATO’s future and the Warsaw Summit moderated by Atlantic Council President and CEO Fred Kempe. The panel featured US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller; Deputy Commanding General, 4 Infantry Division, US Army Gen. James J. Mingus; Secretary of State and Head of the [Poland] National Security Bureau Pawel Soloch; Deputy Secretary General of NATO Alexander Vershbow; and Senator Joseph Manchin. The discussion highlighted the key issues facing the future of NATO, and stressed the importance of a productive summit in Warsaw next month. Said Vershbow, ”We face one of the most challenging security environments in decades. We have to step up and meet challenges from a revanchist Russia…and at the same time we have to deal with the arc of crisis that spans the entire Middle East and North Africa region. […] Failure is not an option as we go into the Warsaw summit. We have to show them all that NATO will deliver and I think we will.’
- June 8th, 2016 – NATO Energy Security Forum 2016. NATO’s role in European Energy Security The Maritime Dimension Conference, June 8th, 2016 in Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel, Warsaw, Poland. [trade.gov.pl] Summary: Discussions went around the fact that if NATO attacks Russia, Russia would cease oil and gas deliveries to Europe, bringing its functions to an abrupt stop. Will the US be able to deliver needed LNG and oil products via sea? The answer is “no” even if Russia let them, but neither Russia, no its allies would let them.
- “Alas, the meeting illustrated how NATO has become an expensive burden for America,” reports CATO Institute.
- Joseph Dunford warns that Russia “could pose an existential threat to the United States.” [com] On March 29, 2016 Gen. Dunford, a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, calls Russia “the biggest threat to the U.S.” and called for preparation for the ‘dynamic and complex’ future wars. “Current planning, organizational construct, and … command and control is actually not suited for that (full-spectrum) character of war,” he said.
- Public lecture by Daniel Mitov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria 07/06/2016 “Russia has lost economic competition with Europe and military competition with NATO”, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov says at a roundtable in Sofia organized by the European Council on Foreign Relations in April 2016. He bases his assumption on estimates that Russia spends on its defense 10 time less than the US and all the NATO members combined. Apparently, the minister of the poorest country in Europe assumes that future wars will be conducted by exchanging budget estimate projectiles.

The Army to begin storing “static” equipment, known as Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS), within Europe for contingency operations. General Phil Breedlove, U.S. European Command (EUCOM) commander: “This is a big step in enhancing the Army’s rotational presence and increasing their combat equipment in Europe. This Army implementation plan continues to demonstrate our strong and balanced approach to reassuring our NATO Allies and Partners in the wake of an aggressive Russia in Eastern Europe and elsewhere. This means our Allies and Partners will see more capability – they will see a more frequent presence of an armored brigade with more modernized equipment in their countries.”

- Exclusive: U.S. may turn to Canada for help with new NATO force in eastern Europe [Reuters.com] The United States could turn to Canada to help it establish a new NATO force in eastern Europe as a deterrent against Russia because it is struggling to win support from its European allies. Despite its show of force the alliance is moving slowly in its efforts to build a rotating force of 4,000 troops on its eastern flank in Poland and the Baltics. While the US is increasing its military spending in Europe, Italy, Belgium and France cut their defense spending. Spain is leading NATO’s special “spearhead” force that can deploy in less than a week. Smaller countries such as Denmark say they do not have the resources to deploy a battalion. Italy, a major buyer of gas from Russia — on which the European Union depends heavily for energy supplies — is wary of taking a tough line on Moscow. That leaves Canada, which has 220 armed forces personnel in Poland. “Canada is actively considering options to effectively contribute to NATO’s strengthened defense and deterrence posture,” said a spokesperson for the Canadian Department of National Defence. “

So, what is it all supposed to mean and what should we expect from the Warsaw NATO Summit?
For the first time since the World War II so many nations has gotten together to threaten Russia with war. On official level and for Media, Russia has spoken out against NATO’s build-up in the region.
Foreign minister Sergei Lavrov:
“It’s not a secret that we view as negative NATO moving its military infrastructure to our borders, drawing other countries into its military activities.” This will activate the Russian sovereign right to protect itself with methods that are adequate for today’s risks.”
Franz Klintsevich, the deputy head of the defense committee in the upper house of Russia’s parliament, went further. He told the Russia’s Interfax agency that NATO was preparing a “global strike” against Russia.
June 1st, during a political show on Russia One TV channel,
The following is not a full transcript, but what was said about NATO and an upcoming Warsaw Summit
Vladimir Zhirinovsky, a Russian politician, the head of the Liberal-Democratic Party and until 2011 member of Russian parliament: Ones again, NATO is lying to the entire planet claiming that the alliance is going to “defend” someone. Ask those NATO generals how many children were kidnapped and murdered in Europe for the past ten years. The answer is hundreds of thousands. Right now in peaceful Europe they kidnap children all over the world and use them for harvesting organs and for sexual entertainment. If they want to explain something to European children, they have to tell them: “Look, children of Europe, in summer 2016 Europe approaches a beginning of a possible war. There is a 95% chance of war in Europe right now. We have only 5% left. If Russia gets scared, war won’t take place. If Russia won’t get scared, there will be war.” This is exactly how the question stands now. I was told about this back in 2015.
That’s why NATO calls this summit “critical.” They planed this back in 2015 that in summer 2016 the standoff between NATO and Russia will reach it’s boiling point. They are going to give us an ultimatum. We must either to accept their ultimatum, or to answer the way we think is the best for us. That’s why this July Warsaw NATO Summit if the most dangerous. After it, either they have to strike us, or we have to strike them. They don’t offer any other solution. We are at the Rubicon, and the next step is a war.
Remember how the Great Patriotic war started on June 22nd, 1941? Hitler’s armies came to the Russia’s borders. The same is happening today. NATO’s troops are on our borders in June 2016. I’m not saying that NATO will attack tomorrow. They are trying to scare us. They think that people like Kudrin and the entire 5th column will call to retreat. Do you understand that we will never ever retread again? They’re going to push us until they get a preventive strike that will leave nothing out of all German divisions and out of all NATO armies. There will be nothing left, but smoke and a big hole in the ground.
We want Europeans to feel fear, because right now they fear nothing. They believe this propaganda that NATO will protect them. Germany and Poland, you have to understand that more NATO troops you host on your territories the sooner you will perish.
Michael Bohm, the Moscow Times: What is Russia offering to the world?
Mikhail Starshinov, a deputy of the State Duma from United Russia and a representative of the All-Russian Popular Front: Russia offers to play by the rules. If we agreed to something, we keep our promises. When one team revises the rules in the middle of the game singlehandedly to gain advantage over the other team, then we get damaged relationships in politics and military insecurity.
Sergei Shargunov, a journalist: In Poland, an aggressive military block NATO represents itself as a savior of the children. NATO killed many children bombing Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria and Libya. NATO daily bombs Donetsk with population of 95.000 children. Only in Donetsk, 101 child was killed with the direct support by NATO of this aggression against people in Ukraine.
Today NATO pulls in countries that are not members of NATO, like Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan. These actions are going directly against NATO Charter.
It’s an attempt to create a buffer zone of small “anti-russias” made from former Soviet republics, all around our country. Let NATO tell this to the children in Europe!
And now we wait…
You don’t have to waste your valuable time watching all those NATO videos above. This episode of the Washington psycho dramedy summary: the representatives of the Great Parasite discussing the “unprecedented danger” they are all collectively facing.
They know that the Judgment Day is fast approaching. They know they will have to answer for everything they have done starting with the nullification of the post-WWII World Order that they singlehandedly arranged and called “post-Cold War settlement.” This so called “settlement” includes illegal re-unification of Germany, and the unlawful division of the Soviet Union, the West engineered pillaging of Russia’s wealth, the violation of the Yalta Agreements, and the conversion of the peaceful Warsaw Treaty Organization into a military NATO war alliance, for the war crimes committed against the nations of the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, and Syria. For the engineering of putsches against governments of sovereign countries. For the engineering of the worldwide market collapse that cost trillions in lost wealth of the producing nations. For playing instrumental roles in facilitating worldwide terrorism, poverty, slavery and the production, distribution and use of dangerous addictive substances. For the worldwide attacks on Christian churches, and the ongoing genocide of people of Muslim faith.
Make no mistake, it’s them, these group of con artists, thieves, professional liars and professional sadists, who are facing an “unprecedented crisis.” It’s not us, normal average people all over the world. It’s them only… They profiteer from wars, we suffer from them. They have become unabashedly rich, we are punished with austerity. They declare themselves the judges of humanity, and we have become victims of their crimes. They speak for themselves, not for us.
You don’t have to watch all these NATO videos, but you should take a look at the faces of the people orchestrating this unprecedented assault on humanity for their own personal gains. We should make posters with their faces. We should show to our children those NATO dudes, who at best belong on Irish potato farms. They have been bombing Europe, Africa and the Middle East and now they are itching to bomb our houses. Show to your children these Atlantic Council women. Instead of continuing the trade of their ancestors selling sunflower seeds on Odessa Privoz Market, they conspire with the violent NATO dummies to slap an expiration date on you, kids, so the fruits of their own womb would start a new human race. I kid you not.
P.S.: June 14th, 2016 11:05 GMT President Putin orders unannounced inspection of Russia’s armed forces
President Vladimir Putin has ordered an unannounced inspection of Russia’s armed forces, Tass reports.
The state and readiness of military arsenals will be assessed, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Tuesday. Weapon and equipment depots will be inspected, as well as certain military control points, according to the minister. This surprise combat readiness check includes the call-up of reservists for military training.
I have seen logical claims that the next phase of W3 will begin with an invasion through Estonia and also, perhaps somewhat diversionarily,, through Ukraine. The mooted start date for this being May 2017.
Similarly, I have also seen logical claims that the October Surprise may be the start… but perhaps only in degree – not the big show… Obviously there must be some sort of “provocation” – manufactured or real – doesn’t matter. I bet manufactured…
Though Trump is a dangerous and odious character, I agree that the prospect for avoiding a NATO/Russian direct hot war are greater with Trump. This is why I expect Hillary to be anointed ….the affair with Russia is too important to, to vital, the elite to permit a Trump detour.
Considering that NATO will need something like 150.000 men to make it to Moscow – if they can do it at all… And considering how long such a build-up would take, I don’t see attack prior to next year. Not, anyway, a big one.
Saker – please criticize this? You’re the expert…
Anonymous
Well, I’m not Saker and and expert, but looking back to history, the Germans have succeeded to mobilize more than 3 million soldiers fully equipped around Soviet Union in 1941, in less than 6 months.
To be fair, numbers in war times are often over exaggerated.
But despite that, what you forget is, that at that point in the war the whole logistic was up and runing for years and build up on experience because of the year long warfare in Europe. Saker once made a very good article about logistics and how this is the most important thing.
I´m no expert either, but logic alone tells us the is right.
In this context it´s rather amusing that the first thing NATO cried about were the logistic problems as soon as their little “games” started.
You can never rule anything out, but these NATO troops are hardly in a position to actually conquer Russia. Nor will the US ships be very helpful, in the Black Sea…i would be my ass they are in the crosshair of subs and under surveillance all the time. Whatever one my think about the Russian leadership, they are not dumb.
Of course, in a nuclear exchange this hardly matters, but then talking is moot anyway, because it´s game over for everyone.
CirdanX
I can hardly believe that NATO has logistic problems at all. They are crying but the reality is that they build more and more depots all around Europe. A few months ago we were talking about this. The roads of Europe are full of trucks going from West to East and back, which one carries military hardware or other equipment ? In the same way the trains, the planes. They will not tell us or paint a sign on the lorry. Once the equipment is in place, the soldiers can get on the starting point very quickly, if they decide to do so. The question is when ?…the timing.
CirdanX is right. Logistics are important. Also important is the will to fight. Does anyone perceive this will in the young of Western Europe? For example, are young Germans ready to don the uniform, risk and surely ruin their lives for the pleasure of politicians, warmongers, bankers, the war industry and the govt’s cronies? I wonder whether that is the case. For if they are not ready to endure the harsh deprivations of war, the suffering, potential for physical injury, a definite prospect of permanent mental damage and certain risks of death, then who will march, let alone fight?
Siotu
But this time the Germans are so disgusted by this incredible Goebbels-like war Propaganda that nobody will be capable of mobilizing more than 80 000 stupid prosititutes for a war with Russia. And even those wouldn’t be prepared to really fight a real war.
Two third of the German pópulation said they would not be willing to go to war even if Russia invaded any Nato Country. Well, they wouldn’t anyway – any media report claiming they did, would simply be a false flag.
NATO won’t be able to mobilize any amount of Europeans who could make up a useful army. It’s too obvious that this is only a maniac trip of mentally ill US-elites.
But that is exactly the reason why either a war will be nuclear or there won’t And how could ordinary people prevent maniacs to press a red button? We do not even know where exactly on German, Dutch and Italian territory the US have placed their Atom bombs. Not even European governments know.
Siotu and Anja
Yes, you’re right in what you are saying and perfectly understand that point of view, there is no will to have a fight in the European communities. Just I am a bit more pessimistic than you. Hope you are right.
I’m not sure where you come up with NATO only needing 150,000 soldiers to reach Moscow. Hitler used 3-4 million and never took Moscow. Even with better equipment in NATO’s military than Hitler had (maybe). They still would face much larger and better equipped Russian forces as well. That 150,000 seems a vast underestimation to me.
what I had in mind was a mad dash that had only a slim chance of even reaching Moscow. It would be obliterated, naturally, but would then serve as a large pretext for the big show…
No army will ever make it to Moscow, regardless of the size. Period.
150,000 men to make it to Moscow? Pal, they’d need a lot more than that.
you don’t get what I’m suggesting – the expedition would be obliterated, sure. oh maybe some few guys in a jeep might get lucky, but the expedition obviously is sacrificial..That is precisely the point. Then there’s a “reason” for the next stage. At least so it seems to my innocent mind…
I’m afraid I have to agree almost totally with this report. I think we are moving towards war. Just as blindly on the West’s part as in 1914. The Russians realize what is happening, but can’t get their “colleagues and partners” to wake-up to sanity. I’m worried that at this “summit” NATO will come up with some really “crazy ideas” and spring them on the World. I hope that the Russians have spies crawling all over that meeting. And can find out what they are up to before they do it.
Whatever was in Kerry’s briefcase in march, the US continues to prepare for war with Russia. As all the military actions listed in this article show. I doubt that there is any substantive grand bargain between Russia and the US. It cannot be so for a number of reasons:
1. If so there would be no ABM missiles in Romania and none going to Poland.
2. The military provocations at Russia’s border would be decreasing not increasing.
3. The US will not give up at the negotiating table that which it retains on the battle field.
4. Russia will not make a grand bargain with lame duck Obama today, knowing that another will be in the white house in January. Putin is too smart for that.
Its important not to exaggerate Russia’s success and the US’s failure. The US remain solidly in the middle east. Its in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Israel and Turkey. Russia has made gains there but these do not amount to pushing the US out. As for Ukraine, why should the US give up the ukro nazis? They cost very little and are a big thorn in Russia’s side. Plus they have the potential to be very useful in the future. The US also continues to attempt color revolutions. They just tried in Khazakstan. Next will probably be Belarus or some place like that.
The US is also succeeding in South America, Brazil and Argentina have been partially and fully seized respectively. Bolivia and Ecuador can expect the same treatment. US relations with India also appear to be on the upswing. Western populations continue to grow in their Russophobia. Europe despite some grumbling remains solidly in the US camp. In other words its a fluid situations with no victors yet. Why should the US parley now?
The US strategy is not to attack the Russian bear directly. But rather to wear it down by constantly prodding and poking it from all sides, forcing it to react constantly to all sides until it is isolated and exhausted. Only then will there be a possibility of direct attack.
Any deals struck between the US and Russia are only for the purpose of buying time for the US and its allies to organize other destabilizing actions, and above all to hold off clear undeniable defeat in places like Syria and Ukraine.
The US will never accept Russia as an equal. The US hopes that its Russian stooges can take over Russia. But if that happens it will just provide an opportunity to smash Russia into numerous small and weak countries.
Russia’s greatest strength is Putin. Russia’s greatest weakness is Putin. The former because Putin is by far the best leader on the planet today, especially compared to his adversaries. The latter because Putin is one man, Russia is in danger of following the path of Venezuela.

Sadly appears to be true, that’s also my point all the time.
At least Yalta-2.0 Part II is in the section [Humor] this time.
A very good analysis
But they wear down as well their NATO allies.
In Germany a poll said that 86% of all Germans would prefer close ties to Russia, while an increasing amount wants the Americans to piss off. The same applies to Austria, Greece, France, Humgarians, and the Czechs feel occupied when US tanks cross their ground.
Even two years ago all European countries except of Poland regarded the US as the most eminent threat to their peace.
NATO won’t be able to exist for long, if it’s hated by most of ist members.
@ Ngoyo
A very lucid and reasoned assessment, thank you.
The conclusion from your analysis, from the Russian point of view, is that it will eventually succumb to the constant prodding and potential isolation, in fact ending up the way the USSR had gone. That’s the view I share, I’m afraid.
Time is on the USNATO side and for Russia it’s all downhill unless Putin can engineer the break up of NATO by driving a wedge between the US and Europe and that is the crux for the survival of Russia.
@Parfois
I believe Russia will ultimately win. My point was that it has not won yet and there is no guarantee it will. I.e no room for complacency. There are major risks and hurdles to be overcome.
In my view time is on Russia’s side. The reason is the rise of China which is leading to the continual weakening of the West. Right now the west is stronger than Russia, but it is weakening while Russia (especially Russia-China) is strengthening. So Russia can afford to wait. The west cannot.
The entire confrontation between Russia and the west is really about China not Russia. Without the rise of China the West could have cut a deal with Russia to accept it as a junior partner with full control of its near abroad. Between 2003 and 2007 I believe Putin would have taken this deal. This is really all Russia wanted. But the rise of China means that Russia *must* be subjugated. Or else China cannot be stopped. If China cannot be stopped then the 500 years of the West’s domination of the world will end. It will end by mid century.
Time is on the West’s side?
No way, the societies that have to maintain the NATO nations are losing cohesion each and every day. Westerners have become scared little people, a far cry of the tough Europeons that made up Napoleons Grand Army and not as near as obedient the Germans were in 1941.
“””””Make no mistake, it’s them, these group of con artists, thieves, professional liars and professional sadists, who are facing an “unprecedented crisis.” It’s not us, normal average people all over the world. It’s them only.””””
Unfortunately the opposite: It is not them who will lose, it’s *us*.
In the worst case *all* of *us*.
Who is facing a crisis: An insane amok shooter or its innocent victims?
But at least we do have justice on our side then. Maybe that’s useful after death, or what …
I wished the idiots all over the EU would March to Brussels and oust these treasonous bastards.
But the masses have been confused – they see the loght like a helpless irritated fly behind a window, and then beng, ouch, boom.
I’m waiting here for Soviet East-Germany.
And advice: This time you need to convert the entire population to the Russian language.
And, make no mistake: There cannot be a anti-Russian Poland anymore. The Soviet Union must reach all the way to Lisbon. Otherwise problems are pre-programmed.

Na ja, now the masses have a good entertainment on the “glotze” to watch, isn’t it wonderful ? Not a word here over the Bilderbergs meeting in Dresden. But who cares ? football is much more important. B ythe way, do you know how many factories have been closed or totally destroyed in the former Eastern Block (not including SU) ? about 14.000 as if it was war, from 1989 till this day. This is capitalism’s real face. Now,what if Putin will keep his word “from Lisbon to Vladivostok” but with other means, as you pointed ?
Hi ioan,
you are correct.
Once again: Beutezug Ost (Foray / Raid East)
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=beutezug+ost
Here the western “investors” bought up entire factories at 1 $ each, then they applied for government help programems and received hundreds of millions in taxpayer’s money per factory, sometimes billions per Kombinat/superfactory. And or in many cases they held the post 1990 German government accountable for whatever losses after 1945, and got those billions, too.
Afterwards they closed each factory due to “not being competitive”.
This also affected agricultural lands: They were left unused for years, while potatoes and apples now get imported from Spain, Israel (!), Netherlands or Italy.
The owners got extra reawards for destroying cherry trees in the traditional area of Werder , 50km south-east of Berlin.
It was a hostile complete takover and intentional destruction to destroy competition.
The East is a consumer market for western trash. De-industrialization was no-where as bad after 1990 as in Germany, because here the East literally and by full meaning got annexed as in a war.
And the citizens were applauding, descending into alcoholism and watching soccer, 5 million East-Germans (out of 16 Million citizens includen women, elderly and children) lost their jobs in 1990.
They get social benefits for the unemployed to stay calm, too much too die and too little to stay alive. This generation is meanwhile mostly extinct after 26 years.
Countries like Poland, Chechia or Romania had a softer transition.
And more industry could sty alive there.
I am scared shitless, and every loud bang I hear first hing I think is that it started.
Russia is backing down too much, not enough muscle to make credible the threat of obliteration of the whole empire if it dares attack, that is the only thing that can save mankind, maybe it is not even worth saving, ain’t that so, God?
Yes Boris, whom are you telling this …
see a few lines below:

> and every loud bang I hear first hing I think is that it started
Yes, last night there was a thunder storm with bang bang boom.
I was relieved when I found that it was only raining.
Western propaganda mouth pieces (really from *every*where) sound very much like Hitler’s 1.September 1939.
“And advice: This time you need to convert the entire population to the Russian language.”
Martin, you’re really narrow minded. Really. I clearly see your good heart and good intentions in your writings and your urge for the good. So don’t think we’re contradicted in this.
But on the other hand I’m disappointed, that you as a German think, your only salvation lies in a “Soviet Utopia”. It is your right to think so, don’t misunderstand me, but I wonder if it’s not possible for you to reach out to the German past for something on which you can be proud of. Don’t give up your German heritage too easily! Is there a successful guilt complex working in you? Are you disappointed by your country and history?
If you see, what Germany has achieved despite the two world wars against her: things which Russia hasn’t achieved till now! It’s not meant as whose better. No! It’s about a constructive and complementary relationship between Russia and Germany. And for this we need a Germany with a German identity and not a Russian speaking colony… Destroy the German language and you destroy what is left of the German spirit.
All this just so Cameron can suspend leaving the EU if the vote goes for leaving the Brussels mad house!
Whatever happens Europe is in a lose-lose situation unless by some miracle Russia can kick the US out of Europe and include all Europe and Scandinavia within greater Russia.
The entire western political-military elite are insane. Time they were disenfranchised and reduced to poverty like all their victims…
Yes, they are insane, they “know not what they do”. In terms of Jungian Psychology they are animated by the unconscious Archetype of the Apocalypse. I think it is obvious where they are taking us, at least to those that frequent this site.
This is not theory to me. I hear the unconscious like an open book speaking clearly out of the mouths of western elites. They are telling us what they are doing or plan to do. All you have to do is listen and associate.

A jump through history to give some context:
Nato vs Russia is an extension of the great game, and to secure the intermarium.
Ernst Reventlow in “Vampire of the Continent” explains how Britain would divide European powers.
http://www.yamaguchy.com/library/reventlow/vampire_01.html
Atlantacism, meaning maritime power in the Atlantic, fully jumped to the U.S. post WW2.
To prevent a land bridge from forming, the intermarium must be secured at all costs.
Rail and movement of goods across a giant landmass, cuts out rents that are taking in atlantic shipping and controlling of money – Britain’s colonial game. As a side note WW1 was all about the Berlin/Baghdad railroad and further ties to Russia across the Bosphorous.
The intermarium matters – a lot.
https://www.sott.net/article/302029-STRATFOR-Chief-outlines-psychopathic-Zio-Anglo-American-plans-for-world-domination-in-speech-to-Chicago-Council-on-Global-Affairs
Once it is understood that during Levant (Mediterranean region pre Christ) period had both overland caravan routes and shipping that fell to money powers, then it is but a jump in history to England. After Vasco de gama discovered Southern Route around horn of Africa, then the East-West exchange rate between metal money (sliver vs gold) went to Amsterdam. Gold was more abundant in the East, and Silver more abundant in the West. This exchange rate usury difference funded the tribe, so a new way needed to be invented.
In Amersterdamnnnn, the Portuguese started unloading spices and metal money from their ships.. Our tribal friends who formerly controlled middle eastern overland caravan routes, lost their easy money game, and hence followed their former trade to Amsterdam, which can be easily seen in population statistics of Sephardic and Ashkenazi increases.
A few hundred years of stock capital invention, and then invention of bank credit as money, then creation of orange kings/cromwell etc.. completes the jump to England.
Now, England becomes parasistized by Kabala and magick money methods, and a vampire of the continent is born. Bank of England becomes the first debt spreading corporation to control a country. Corporations morph to today, to having more legal rights than humans.
America has large immigration of Tribal denizens from 1890 to 1925. This cohort uses kol-niedre methods and poses as mostly polish christians… they are not. They retain their former religion as crypto’s. This group then tries to convert America to Bolsheveism.
Go back and read congressional testimony from 1924 immigration cut-off, especially from Congressman Charles Lindbergh. The cut-off is entirely because this group is indigestible and an irritant and was trying to take over.
Today’s neo-cons are the genetic and lineal descendants of this immigration wave from Poland, Germany and Pale of Settlement (Russia).
They have a historical grievance against Tsarist/Byzantine/Orthodox Russia, and this grievance is tied up to Zion via Messianic Kabala, and England via the money power.
This group in modern times, has converged on Chicago, especially university of Chicago – which can be seen in the school’s neo-liberal economics. Frankfurt school thinking and Boasian anthropology are located in this epicenter.
These tribal lies are funded by usury out of credit banking schemes, and the objective is to cast a hypnotic trance on the world.
Hermeticism, or the trading of vapor for something, is alive and well and has been passed down from temple pre-history to today. (Debt instrument creation then trading for a person’s life energy exactly corresponds to hermetic thinking – now kabala Zion.)
Russia, especially the Orthodox Christian Church is on to these schemes. If Byzantium and Justinian law is recapitulated into a new Russian civilization (as seems the case) then that is a threat of the highest order to our Kabbala illuminist friends who are running the great game.
Germany and Russia must not become friends and trading partners. Putin must tread lightly.
Thanks, MEFOBILLS
Fascinating stuff…
If one to believe zerohedge contributors, we are entering an epoch when vapor money has stopped working. This snake oil selling scheme just run its course.
What we witness now with NATO in Europe is the Empire trying to tighten grip over its overseas colonies. The US, UK and Canada, all the Five Eyes, are consolidating arms to oppress the uprising in impoverished European colonies. It’s looks like the “only” regions it will be able to feast upon for some time are the LA and Europe.

The Russians Have Already Shot Down Numerous US Drones Violating Crimean Airspace (Video)
And one of them, the mother of all drones, the massive Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk, was apparently commandeered by Russian electronic warfare and landed in Simferopol
http://russia-insider.com/en/politics/russians-have-shot-down-numerous-us-drones-violating-crimean-airspace/ri14963
Someone commenting questioned that story. Saying it hasn’t been confirmed by the Russian DM. And was a TV program video, not a real “news video”. But lets assume the story “is” true. I’m wondering if the US is “testing” Russia’s air defense ability in Crimea (and the weapons systems used to shoot them done). And so doesn’t care if they lose the drones, if the info they get is useful for them. So there might be a more sinister purpose to sending the drones over the territory.
Now also on TASS, isn’t that foolish?

What signs do actions like this send to Crimea, Novorossiya and Syria, if not Serbia and Yemen?
(no help, but …)
And which signs does it send to Ukraine, USA and Israel?
(hahaha, we are winning)
Martin,
Two Ukrainian citizens that were snatched out of the junta’s prison are a woman journalist, who advocated for federalization, and who was charged with “separatism.” She gave birth to a baby in jail. She was kept separately from her baby, who has a heart defect and needs a surgery.
A young man, who was also released, is a survivor of the Odessa Massacre of May 2nd, 2014. He was injured, beaten, arrested and tortured in jail.
You ask: “What signs do actions like this send to Crimea, Novorossiya and Syria, if not Serbia and Yemen?”
This prisoners exchange sends helpful sings for all those, who are imprisoned by oppressive regimes of the democratic coalition.

Hi Scott, thanks for this update!
In fact I had read this after having posted the previous comment, and then wrote 2 pages.
Directly when I wanted to hit [Post a comment] it crashed and all got lost, unlike normally.
Unfortunately I didn’t have it backed up to a txt file at the time.
I’m very very glad that Yelena, her 6yo (!) son and Vitaly have been released in exchange.
That’s unconditional of course.
What I wrote however was, if it is normal that real Terrorists who apparently planned to kill Russian Civilians in Crimea (and got jail terms of 6 and 7 years in Russia) must be released to rescue 3 innocents whose only crime it was to be engaged in defending ethnic minorities and being a female journalist reporting about the truth.
What times are we living in?
Where – I said where! – are all the typical western hyenes, such as OSCE or NGO’s like HumanRightsWatch or FEMEN? Or these self-proclaimed western peace and democracy lovers like Steinmeier, Hollande or Merkel who congratulated this Savchenko monster for its release?
How can it be that victims are still being imprisoned in Odessa as “guilty criminals”, only because they didn’t die as planned on May 2nd 2014?
I repeat: For what is Russia in the UNSC and OSCE?
If _this_ deal is the only way to rescue 3 innocents out of maybe 1000 who are still in Kiev’s prisons?
Scott:
> She gave birth to a baby in jail. She was kept separately from her baby,
> who has a heart defect and needs a surgery.
Thanks for the info.
Now I understand.
I was at first confusing the 6y jail term of the real terrorists with the age of her child, which has a heart illness. Then I wondered why her child is was also imprisoned.
“””””Meanwhile, Ukrainian citizens Yelena Glishchinskaya with an underage child and Vitaly Didenko arrived in Moscow on Tuesday by a Rossiya Airlines flight.
Yelena Glischinskaya is a journalist, Director of the Odessa-based Svobodnaya Volna (Free Wave) regional TV and radio company. She was charged by the Ukrainian authorities with separatism and treason, facing, according to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, an imprisonment term of 12 to 15 years. She was an activist of the People’s Rada of Bessarabia public movement, the declared goal of which was to protect the interests of national minorities of the Odessa region (Gagauz, Bulgarians, Moldovans and other nations), which, according to the movement, were infringed by the central authorities. Three Ukrainian citizens from among the movement’s organizers were arrested. TASS has learned that Glischinskaya had a baby after her arrest while she was held in a detention facility. The boy is now six weeks old, his condition is serious but stable (heart paralogia). The Ukrainian security services did not allow Glishchinskaya to be with her child. She was detained for over a year. She also has other children.
Vitaly Didenko is the editor-in-chief of the Odessa city Information Center website. He was sentenced to three years of supervised release.
Glishchinskaya was for a long time held in a detention facility in the city of Odessa and Didenko – in a penal colony in the Rovno region of Ukraine.

In that case – as I said – I am very relieved for those who could be rescued.
But are there no other options? Meanwhile the situation is that we need to make deals with Dr.Mengele or Hitler in person?
And the western media can stay silent about it as always?
Forgive me, but I simply cannot understand that Russia+China+India+SouthAfrica+Venezuela+Cuba plus many civilians across the world – we cannot do anything else?
And Putin recently welcomed Netanyahu like a “partner” and “friend”?
Damn, if that’s the current situation, then we are doomed and shouldn’t expect too much from the future.
On RT so far (?) nothing about the swap.
But this is also unbelievable:
Deportation coming? Bus with 50 Russian Euro 2016 fans ‘blocked, searched’ by French police
https://www.rt.com/sport/346588-russian-fans-deport-france/
“””””A bus with some 50 Russian fans has been blocked on its way to Lille, where the Russia-Slovakia Euro 2016 match will take place, and searched by around 100 French police officers, the fans said, adding that they fear deportation.
[…]
Also on Tuesday, authorities were also checking the identities of 29 fans at a hotel near Marseille, southern France, to see if they were on a list of supporters “considered a risk.” Some of the fans are to be taken to a holding center at the border, AFP reports. This group also reportedly intended to travel to Lille.
A total of 43 fans were detained and placed in custody, according to authorities.”””””
Well – during WW2 Vichy-France was a Hitler ally.
They definitely have lots of expertise in detaining and deporting people.

You get 12 to 15 years in that “country” only because you want to protect the rights of ethnic minorities as a female journalist??
Imagine that! And where is the EU outcry?
Russia should cancel all diplomatic relations. That’s my personal opinion.
Or at least: Why isn’t it possible to hijack western TV Satelites and broadcst the Truth for some while? Argh, both steps are not possible, because the 1st might leave Russian citizens stranded across the world and the 2nd could be interpreted as an act of war.

now that is the new hitler i earlier confirmed to friends on nairaland. the new hitler is zionist empire which really did not end after ww2. it was just part of the continuation of its empire and now it’s finally glaring to everyone to see what it is.
this statement reminds me of the same thing hitler did after it signed a peace agreement with soivet union. it still went ahead and got a horrible defeat.
i bet russia learned a lot from that and would never let such repeat itself… meaning repeating itself this time would be a final defeat to nazism, anglozionist empire, neo-colonialism or neo-nazism, neocon or the idealism in general.
Citing ‘Russian Aggression,’ NATO Urges Members to Contribute More Money.
As NATO dramatically increases its presence in Eastern Europe, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter are pushing alliance members to provide more money to the cause, repeatedly citing consistently-debunked claims of “Russian aggression.”
“There has never been such an amassing of hostile military force on Russia’s Western frontiers since June 1941, when Hitler invaded the Soviet Union, and that’s the way the Russians see it,” Professor Stephen F. Cohen said in a recent interview with The John Batchelor Show.

I have previously mentioned that I believe Putin is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Syria. Events seem to be turning out to prove my point:
http://atimes.com/2016/06/russian-iranian-alliance-in-syria-at-crossroads/
snippet only below. it’s worth a complete read.
However, four days after the Tehran meeting, on June 13, Russian news agency Sputnik carried an intriguing commentary analyzing the balance of forces in Syria.
It highlighted that Syrian government forces are overstretched and any expectations of an imminent military victory in Raqqa or Aleppo must be discounted. The commentary gave the following assessment on Raqqa:
Raqqa is a large city with a population of 200,000 people which makes any attempts of an assault very difficult. In addition, Daesh militants have seriously strengthened their positions across the city… Another problem is the lack of troops with the army and popular forces. Currently, the most capable army and popular forces units are deployed to Raqqa, including a tank brigade and the Desert Eagles special operations brigade. However, it is difficult to assess their number as well as their combat capabilities.
The efficiency of Russian airstrikes during the advance on Raqqa is lower than during the active phase of the Russian campaign because aircraft now operate at the maximum of their combat range. The army is also unlikely to take control over the local military airfield. But even if the airfield is recaptured Daesh militants would still be able to shell it …What is more, airstrikes in residential areas will be impossible. However, the Syrian Army will not go on a direct assault on Raqqa due the lack of personnel. In this situation, the possible assault would take months.
Sorry, Alan, but nothing with the word “times” to its name is “worth a complete read.”

If we liken the current face-off to a pair of prize-fighters about to enter a no-holds battle, my money would be on Russia wiping the floor with the yankee and its sickening ass-wipe vassal, the EU. The initial confrontation will be brutal and could well be over in a few explosive seconds. Why? Because Russia is fighting for its very survival and not for some military industrial complex, that is for profit and spoils.
All people of conscience should be mindful that there is a Universal Mind-Power, a negative force whose function it is to create chaos. The greater the better. There are forces however, that are stationed beyond the human arena of events, that stand ready to help should events spiral out of control. As such, those who put themselves in service of the negative force do receive their comeuppance. Eventually. The principle, God sees the sparrow fall but does not stop it from falling applies.
Zhirinovsky is a superstar of dark humor. He gets carried away by the same things that should drive people insane, if they really felt the world. That’s why we love him.
There are stupid people everywhere who can not experience existential fear. They never survived hardship. Raised in affluence they seek experiences trying to learn their limitations, and fail. They utterly fail to grasp what morons they are. Hitler was never this stupid.

Russia has a much more sofisticated army and would over-run Europe very quickly.” Deflects criticism that Rand is simply seeking further funding, and claims this is a real assessment of head to head confrontation.
