1) Russia is in Syria for two reasons:
a) To eliminate ISIS/Daesh etc. on it’s southern border.
b) To ensure the stability of the One Road/One Corridor locations.
2) Iran is included as one of the locations that must be protected.
Also,
3) The New Petro Currency (Yuan/Ruble etc) is ascendant.
3a) The dollar is facing irrelevancy.
All political, diplomatic and military activity aligns with these realities,.
Fast game, slow game, you have to be able to predict the intentions, moves and objectives of your opponent. Is this a friendly? Is this a friendly, but a competitive one, followed by drinks and a swagger? Is this is competition. Is this a winner takes all game? Where are they likely to land the ball next?
Russia, Iran, China and now everyone else knows that the US and Israel are playing for everything. If the US can’t issue unlimited debt to the world, it’s military goes home and Israel is on its own. Every insurrection to this status is in the cross-hairs. To rise up against this and lose is guaranteed surrender of sovereignty to foreign rule for decades if not centuries.
If Russia, China and Iran know that if they lose there will be handshakes over the corpse of their history, is it good enough to assume they are standing waiting for the inevitable? I don’t believe they are waiting.
The US and Israel are being pulled into a war on three, possibly four fronts – Russia, Iran, N Korea, Taiwan, China and S. China Sea, Venezuela, Syria and Ukraine all being likely candidates where the target alliance has huge advantages and where the US is also clearly being drawn into conflict. Contrary to the US’ viewpoint, who still thinks it is leading the charge at its ‘enemies’, they are in fact being drawn ‘into the valley of death’*.
If the consequence of an inevitable financial or military attack by the US/Israel is the suffering of their people, then I can’t believe that these target nations, all supreme tacticians throughout history, will permit themselves to fall one by one and have not drawn up plans to suffer at the time and place of their choosing, and to break the back of their enemy in doing so. You Americans had better hope that I am wrong, but the tactic looks pretty clear to me.
N. Korea is the litmus test. It is clearly a head fake by the N. Koreans. There is no way they work for 70yrs, then lay down their arms and sovereignty because of a bit of sabre rattling and then grant the US a foothold at the belly of China. There will be no deal, obviously, the US will accuse KJI of being a ‘bad actor’ and there will be calls by mid summer for regime change ‘for the people of N Korea’. If that happens, then we can assume the US is taking a baited trap.
*The Charge Of The Light Brigade
by Alfred, Lord Tennyson
1809-1892
This poem was written to commemorate a suicidal charge by light cavalry over open terrain by British forces in the Battle of Balaclava (Ukraine) in the Crimean War (1854-56). 247 men of the 637 in the charge were killed or wounded – a massacre at that time. Britain entered the war, which was fought by Russia against Turkey, Britain and France, because Russia sought to control the Dardanelles. Russian control of the Dardanelles threatened British sea routes.
Half a league half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred:
‘Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns’ he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
‘Forward, the Light Brigade!’
Was there a man dismay’d ?
Not tho’ the soldier knew
Some one had blunder’d:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
Any other comment focusing just on the “Charge of the light brigade” needs to be posted in the MFC and the discussion on this poem and the history discussed there please. Any further off-topic comment will go to trash. Mod
Which poem quoted stimulates me to reply, along with Pierre Bosquet, “C’est magnifique, mais ce n’est pas la guerre.”
[Wikipedia: “The futility of the action and its reckless bravery prompted the French Marshal Pierre Bosquet to state: “C’est magnifique, mais ce n’est pas la guerre.” (“It is magnificent, but it is not war.”)”
Sun Tzu had it, I think. War is about strategy and cold blooded planning and organisation. This charge was led by the same Lord Cardigan who was so arrogant he refused to eat dinner in the mess of any post he visited, if they had an officer of the Indian Regiments present !!
Arrogant stupidity of the ruling English classes – so prevalent still and beautiful exemplified by the dreadful Boris.
Let’s not forget Roland; a Count in Charlamagne’s Guard- who for ego driven reasons refused to call for reinforcements- and allowed all his troops to be wiped out to a man.
The inbreeding of the English aristocracy has produced the likes of BoJo the clown; as a result the electorate will see what is happening and will vote labour, this will not be our finest hour.
Russia does not even have sovereignty over its “own” central bank.
Russia is still having a private Central Bank that still issues a debth based currency which Russia still has to pay interest for.
Same goes for China.
Considering this, what difference does a Petro-Yuan-Ruble really make?
It does not matter what the ball does if the game is corrupted. Financially, Everyone plays for the same team.
Russia does not even have sovereignty over their “own” central bank.
Russia is still having a private Central Bank that still issues a debth based currency which Russia still has to pay interest for.
Powerpoint Bibis visit, Medvedev’s nomination, the S300 drama with Syria, all these things align with the reality stated above.
I challenge everyone to state a good explanation for this.
Against all you say, the Russians have stopped US – Israel’s objectives in Syria and Ukraine with Medvedev at the helm and without starting a larger war, so what exactly are you afraid of?
Some parts of this inevitable transition away from empire towards integration of sovereign nations are quick and some are slow. Certainly, Russia’s CB is part of the problem and the US dollar is the most widely used currency inside Russia (think oil transactions). But what good would be done to Russia or China, their economy, reserves, etc if it collapsed all that, or chucked them out right now? Also, for China being a part of the US based system and buying US treasuries (or holding them at least) is a very big gun to America’s head.
The Russians and Chinese know that the injustice of a mono-polar world order is going to fail. But it is in fact better for everyone if this transition happens slowly, and preferably without the enemy pulling out its biggest weapon.
@anon
Yes. Illegal bases, and now surrounded by enemies, including the Kurds. This is a long Russian game attempting to avoid a hot war with the US. It is clearer by the day that the US and Israel’s illegality stands out in stark contrast against Russia, China and the modus operandi of the EU.
The US/UK/Israel sought to isolate Russia as per the 1980’s. Well, they have failed. Worse, the Russians are using the US Israeli acts to instead isolate the propagators. It is smart. I don’t see that the US has much of a mid term future there, and certainly no willing neighbor to exploit the region. It is a smart long game.
some jewish Satanyahoo sympathizers in some governing spheres give me cause for concern:when you adhere to capitalist “handling”, the money-suppliers affect all the other “hands” doing the job of governing-Putin included!maybe, perhaps,so I hope, president Putin is keeping them close in order to have them on-sight:do not forget they are the scions of those who tried to get rid of Stalin for 25 years & created, for cause of hysteria, the internal violence of USSR.
To be a member of the World Trade Organisation , Russia was required to open its Banking system to the Western Central Bank System.
Not a good move,as the sanctions imposed on Russia are illegal under WTO rules. I see no benefit for Russia being a member of the WTO at present.
A Sovereign nation such as Russia with its own currency can buy any resource within its borders, including all idle labour and issue ]currency for Productive projects, interest free,
What is lacking is the political will.
Really? I gave up with the white on white on white English captions but make this reply.
Sperling44, I agree with the intent of your post. I believe the USA is being set up to fail with the future as already decided to center on the Eurasian. The Chinese societal model likely the master template. Russia is as much under neo liberal economic mantra as any western nation but with as of now a relatively smaller debt load….but this is a temporary situation. China is contemplating opening its financial markets to the western interest bearing debt behemoths, likely with ‘structural adjustments’ for state owned enterprise to quickly follow. Privatization of the so called Brics nations of their most economically important assets is accelerating. This points out that this so called ‘resistance bloc’ is about as real as this cold war 2.0. Meaning both are being used for propaganda, misdirection, obfuscation and terrorism up to and including total war reasons as cover for the advancement of ‘One World Order’ agenda -(Peter Koenig) . It really is quite obvious when one steps back and looks at the largest overall view they can achieve.
The Rothschilds in Russia have dispute with their cousins in London and Europe and so they are very proactive with Putin’s aims, and the people he represents, as they dovetail with their own. I thought this was widely known. Not so it seems.
China IS UN Agenda 21 in real life, just do a trip around the country, it’s so obvious you can’t miss it. But China is made up of many old factions and cultures too. Despite the propaganda, which they spew out every waking moment, there are still mass civil disobediences, riots, breaking out every 45 seconds.
I was living in a very rich city in the South of Guangdong, a Sinopec Petrochemical City, Maoming. It was reputed to be the most corrupt city in China in 2014. A “flying squad” from Beijing went down and replaced the whole of the government and PSB leaders, and thinking they’d sorted it out congratulated themselves and went back to Beijing after quashing a major civilian local riot by murdering about 8 people and injuring many others. The people who were the replacement government/PSB just went back to what was always done as soon as “the flying squad” left. That’s China, all over China. Not what the propaganda they put out says.
The crackdown on corruption is mostly, actually, on Party Members and businesses who stop paying their party dues, or guangxi, in those red envelopes. So big powerful bankers/players in China are in on the action too. There’s a huge line up of foreigners trying to get in on the action there too, especially from the US because they can get a special 10 Year Visa.
The population jumped from 1.3Billion to 1.8Billion recently when the One Child Policy was officially scrapped as the half billion hidden children suddenly were offered official status so long as they moved into “the ghost cities”. But they lost a huge income stream from the annual fee common Chinese, non government employed, had to pay for their 2nd or more children. That’s right, the One Child Rule only applied to government workers, officials, and military, the rest of the population simply paid for their extra children.
OBOR will be a goer but it’s just one of a myriad of China’s projects coming off the line. Just look how fast they can build ships now.
I’ll give you an example so you can think with enormity of China’s internal market; smoking cigarettes is very popular there as is drinking high % alcohol. A cigarette lighter costs 1-2RMB. There is an estimated 1Billion+ smokers in China and they each possess at least 4 lighters. They buy a new lighter every 3 months but they give away to fellow smokers 10 more. Do the math. 90% of them drink very strong alcohol which costs at least 80-200RMB a bottle at least 3 times a week. Biros cost 1-2RMB each, etc. etc. They buy a pack of cigarettes every day for an average of 6RMB plus they buy a 10 pack to take to the lunch or dinner with their high alcohol bottle, 3 times a week. Then there’s food, etc. etc.
I met the man who controls tobacco manufacturing in China, he’s the top Black Triad Boss in the whole of China and Hong Kong, a psychopath too, but he can and does buy or force any one. Almost all of the black Triad bosses live in Hong Kong which Hu Jintao and later Xi forced on them tho’ they still rule half the mainland.
China doesn’t actually need an external market but that’s the way Deng Xiaoping set it up so until they can develop their internal market they need OBOR to satisfy their thirst for assets, precious metals and currency.
It was only 40 or so years ago that they starved to death 30 to 60Million of their own people, but if you had precious metals you could buy your freedom and food. It’s been that way in China for many centuries. It’s still like that today, in rural areas.
There is very recent news, this week, that a suitcase was found containing US$300,000 in 100RMB notes. The owner of the suitcase said that he’d left it at an agreed place for the girl he’d just broken off with as compensation for he breaking off the relationship. This has been going on for centuries too but usually kept very quiet.
I have a Chinese friend who’d had a business go down the tubes in Angola due to that he couldn’t buy US$s to send back home. He tried to make it work and he took 12 workers with him for 3 years. He went back home to China in a very bad financial situation but upon his arrival home he was told by his wife that their daughter had been asked to marry the son of a very rich family. She did and my friend has retired rich from the dowry paid for his daughter. The daughter was not forced to marry but forced marriage is still very common in Chinese culture every where they are. My friend and his wife were both forced to marry each other but, interestingly, when they got a huge bag of money for their daughter his wife was good to him for the first time, ever. Despite Chinese women being sold by their parents the sold daughter usually blames their husband who was also forced. The husband and his family must pay an annual amount to his wife’s family also.
I have another Chinese friend who showed me a levee on a river that he and his family built, by hand, working 18 hours a day for 7 years, during the Cultural Revolution. In adult life he was a bank employee and was made redundant at age 52. They gave him his apartment to live in for the rest of his life. He’d paid for his own Retirement Social Security all his working life as did his wife, as do all Chinese. But at age 60, his Social Security entitlement including Health Insurance was taken away and replaced with a government national aged pension. The Social Security they paid gave he and his wife gave them 8,000RMB a month to live on. The aged pension they were forced onto when he turned 60 only pays half that, $4,000RMB plus they have to pay their own health insurance. So where did the money they both paid all their working lives for Social Security go to? Right. To the government! Their son has to pay the 4,000RMB a month shortfall and health insurance. Now you know where the Chinese government gets a huge slice of their income, from retirees turning 60. To ad insult to injury, he worked in a government bank, the Bank of China!
My point in my short stories, above, is that China is very unlike other countries so you can’t judge or measure it in any way by a western yard stick. But also that their Rothschilds controlled Central Bank is most likely doing the best ever there!
You have written a fascinating post, one that goes o the heart of he matter. It really challenges one’s ability to think objectively about the situation, that is much appreciated.
The Petro-Yuan Ruble may be the way to destabilize central banks and a step towards sovereignty. To answer How exactly I do not know, because I just don’t know that much about banking. I wish that were not the case. A Russian gold backed ruble limits how much the american government can increase its budget and certainly would launch them into ruin, no doubt. However, this by no means hurts the really large bankers and their cartel from gaining their wealth in Rubles as opposed to US dollars. I think the cabal would be less powerful but it would still exist and be able to influence/manipulate Russia and China should it retain control over the central banks. I think you are right to be skeptical for feeling a gold backed ruble/yuan is not enough.
I truly believe however, Russian nationalists and Putin are aware of this.
The fight between the nationalists and the fifth column is a long way from over.
A present day litmus test is the Russian commitment to Iran, a nation that owns its central bank, as afar as I am aware.
The defence of Iran is imperative.
I do not think the delay in the S300 sale equals the sellout of Iran by any means. I do believe Russia will defend Iran with a high level of commitment.
Otherwise Putin would be annihilated by financial war, spread, debt and hints like this..it’s not the case, russia owns it’s debt exactly like US do.. same thing for China.. as a confirmation of all this, the only thing US is able to do is sanctions their trading..
Different scenario for UE (europe) where the BCE is controlled by FMI and monitored by FED..if a state disobey, they simply close the money tap inducting internal crisis: Greece is a great example about what happened..
Great video – again clearly explaining why BN was in Moscow – a working visit – and what happened. Also, it was good for Russia as it showed Russia’s status in international relations – BN ran to Moscow not Washington and all the world saw it as he walked with the St. George ribbon in the immortal regiment (as Ruslan said in his video).
BN is a BS artist. A couple of weeks ago he was on stage with an idiot “Iran Lies” presentation showtime and a few years back was at the UN with his cartoon bomb stunt. He’s one step away from domestic criminal charges. He’d probably wear a pink dress and eat a pork chop if he thought it would gain some political advantage. A largely meaningless stunt which simply reinforces the bias towards or away from Putin/Russia depending on initial stance.
The cheesy used car salesman is at it again, trying to get something for nothing, making promises to enable things that are going to happen anyway.
The question about what The Yahoo’s presence at the V-Day parade signalling to the west?
Ruslan suggests it is recognition of Moscow’s relevance.
That doesn’t sound like The Yahoo.
More likely, he seeks to boost his own apparent relevance in the eyes of the west.
Putin must know that anything “promised” by The Yahoo will just get Kol Nidred away, with all other commitments/agreements (to gentiles) at the next time… whenever it is that they do that (once a year).
It is possible that The Yahoo was signalling to the fifth column of “the chosen” embedded in the Russian administration/society and agencies.
Let’s look at the symbolism of it another way, as The Yahoo is at one of the most important secular/military ceremonies in Russia, the zionist military (stationed in the occupied Palestinian lands) is bombing the adjoining sovereign nation, and has snipers firing on unarmed civilians; it was truly disgusting, and even though well trained in diplomacy, I believe I could detect VVP’s disgust.
Netanyahu is the worst war criminal known to civilization.
For the vast majority of the world, those not “chosen” who know what is going on, the fact that Netanyahu continues to be free, let alone the leader of a operating gangster sect, fundamentally dedicated to discrimination, hatred ,and destruction, is an abomination.
I urge all readers, regardless of self-identifying affiliation to educate yourselves about this global collective and their ideologies, and how they have been manifested over the past 2500 years. The method and objective is clear, “by way of deception they destroy“.
The best way to combat this sick group of psychopaths is by spreading the facts, and reclaiming their captives (all people in the thrall of this evil) back to the shores of humanity.
The only people who have ever held them in “captivity“, is there psychotic leadership.
All I know is that Yahoo was apparently in the opening stages of starting a war. Since the date of Trumpette’s violation of the Iran Deal was set in stone, this was all planned well in advance. Yahoo had gone to the Knesset and gotten permission for the war, and Yahoo and his government of looney’s had been making many war-like statements.
Then, Yahoo was at the mlitary parade showcasing Russia’s military might. I don’t know what was said to Yahoo as this rolled past in front of him,but Yahoo has returned to Israel afterwards and appears to have called off his planned war.
Now, Yahoo has seemed to have decided that he’d better not take on any force better armed than Israel’s blockaded prisoners in the Gaza open-air prison.
Most people make the mistake of thinking that what is seen on TV etc for public consumption is the lions share of two leaders interactions. The parade was most likely an interlude to some pretty tough and tactical exchanges about stuff we are not party to.
Also, we do not know which embassy staff ‘Yahoo’ met with, or what they handed him. Russia’s counter espionage is pretty tight, I expect, and a physical hand over of, or briefing on intelligence in advance of the rocket attacks on Syria was probably an important part of the visit. If this was the objective, you might assume that Putin and Yahoo talked a lot of gas, and that both parties knew something else was actually going on.
Accustomed to live among sharks, Putin seems to have no problem dealing with Bibi or MBS both monsters.
It means that Putin is not driven by principles but by what he thinks is the best for Russia.
He is certainly a very clever man but trying to outmanoeuvre the Devil is above any man’s capabilities.
With the Devil you have to refuse to play and tell him to go back to Hell.
P.S. Concerning the future in the Middle-East, Israel, the US and theirs European dominons have not given-up. The are still after the destruction of Syria, the Hezbollah and Iran. So far the have been using proxy Warriors and Russia could kill them as they were dispensable products. If Israel and their allied are starting to do the job with theirs own soldiers, nobody knows today what will Russia will do. It is an open question!
It reminds me the “300” movie..Where the persian king Serse goes to the king of Spartans offering all the goodness in exchange of submission.. then Leonida refuses and the rest of the tale is history.. (for history I mean the final battle where 10000 Spartans destroyed Serse army)
Once again… The wrong question. Russia cannot surrender something that never existed.
— Russia is in Syria to protect it. A unified state under Assad or another pro-Russian leader.
— Iran/Hezbollah is in Syria to attack Israel.
Given that Russia has good relations with Israel, these two were never on the same side. Thus, there was no alliance to surrender.
Russia has come to the conclusion that the presence of Iran/Hezbollah offensive troops in Syria is provoking the exact opposite of what it wants.
The long term presence of the U.S. And Turkey is directly linked to the presence of Iran/Hezbollah, and the semi-permanent situation is an invitation to partition. To remove partition as as solution, U.S. And Turkey have to go. The only way to achieve that is the departure of Iran/Hezbollah and any new Iran Proxy militant groups that they have trained and fielded. While Putin cannot order them out of Assad’s country, he can and is refusing to support their terrorism.
Russia looking out for the best interests of Syria and Russia should not be mischaracterized as a surrender.
Russia looking out for the best interests of Russia is just fine by me. But tell me, once Iran and Hizbullah are out of Syria, is it your impression that the US and Turkey will then leave? Or will they see it as an opportunity to raise another army of terrorists and try to destroy Syria again? Only this time without Iran and Hizbullah fighting against them? And what will happen to Russia’s position in Syria at that time? Is Russia’s best interests served by trusting the promises of the US to leave when conditions X,Y and Z are met?
Some sort of phased drawn down would have to be negotiated so that each side knows that the others are keeping their word. Trust but Verify.
If a deal is cut to get all Shia terrorists out of Syria in return for the U.S. And Turkey staying out…. That is a something that the U.S. would be willing to live up to. Trump has stated publicly that the U.S. would leave Syria if a stable, terror-free solution can be left behind. I can’t speak to Edogan directly, but he gains by limiting U.S. – Kurdish involvement with each other.
Of course, if Syria is unable or unwilling to keeps its word and Iran, Hezbollah, & Other Proxies return to Syria, then the U.S. And Turkey would undoubtedly also return in force.
“If a deal is cut to get all Shia terrorists out of Syria”
Regurgitation of zionazi propaganda, as usual. Personally, this nonsense only reinforces my view that their is no benign zionist, they are all toxic, and should be treated as any other toxin. Probably not the view s.w.a.r.m. wants to create with their psywar antics on the web.
There is a huge difference between the prior Soros/Clinton/Obama regime and the Trump/anti-Globalist administration.
This administration wants to close down the excesses of Globalist theology, but is not going to throw Israel to the wolves either. Given Israel security within its current borders, the U.S. will back away from Globalist partition as a strategy. However, as long as Iran/Hezbollah is massing offensive terror forces to attack Israel, it is impossible for the U.S. to give ground.
I realize that certain posters here have “War to take the Golan” as their first choice. Of course, history shows every attack against Israel has resulted in the permanent loss of territory, but they want to risk it anyway even if the price is ceding southern Syria to Israel as war damages.
I’d prefer to explore options for peace. Reducing or eliminating Iranian funded terrorism in Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon is a good first step to ratcheting down tension. Less violence would lead directly to better living conditions in Gaza and the West Bank as security restrictions are reduced and infrastructure is repaired.
“However, as long as Iran/Hezbollah is massing offensive terror forces to attack Israel, it is impossible for the U.S. to give ground.”
– A123
U – huh….poor little Jewish State Apartheid Terrorist IsraHell, eh?
What is that song I hear while I read your post?…Ah! Yes ! Of course it’s ” Hatikva!”
You are offering Zionist Jew hasbara wrapped in a Devil red velvety box, but I smell the sulphur!
‘Iran funded terrorism’? What have you been smoking lately? US tax payer funded terrorism comes first, second and third.
Any terrorists in Iran are western backed. Lebanese Hizbollah is definitely not a terrorist organization. Now please take your medication and go do your homework.
Iran/Hezbollah/Hamas regularly attacks Israel. Trying to get numbers sourced wholly apart from the IDF is not easy, but things falling from the sky and exploding is fairly objective proof of an attempted attack , even if it was a miss.
A123:
History shows an extremely durable trend for the machinations of the Torah-Pharisees-Talmud global collective cult, the virtual nation of international jewry; the Oded Yinons plan for “the greater israel” and, incidentally, a backbone of the Likud party manifesto, calls for the breaking up of arab/muslim Middle East and North African (MENA) states; we have already seen this plan in action. At the same time, it is creating social disaster in Europe; one can hardly see this collateral as incidental, in hindsight. They have never negotiated in what most of humanity considers good faith. They have clearly not negotiated with the indigenous people, whose land was stolen of false pretense in good faith, and they never intend to. They will continue to commit genocide against the indigenous Palestinian peoples until they are reduced to safe levels, then use them as slaves/human shields.
You write, “Iran/Hezbollah is in Syria to attack Israel”
The truth is, Iran/Hezbollah are in Syria to: a. stop the break up of yet another MENA state, and thus check the well documented physical expansion plans of the Torah-Pharisees-Talmud global collective cult, and b. protect their own medium to longer term survivability, because any rational and objective analysis of the history of the Torah-Pharisees-Talmud global collective cult indicates a very strong probability that they will/are going after both (south) Lebanon and the diminishment of Iran as a pier/rival, something their collective mass psychology can’t stand!
I am aligned with the opinion that Russia/China are in this for long term survival and Iran is a critical node for achieving this.
For a fact-based review and (comparatively) impartial analysis of the Torah-Pharisees-Talmud global collective cult, please read Douglas Reed‘s seminal “The Controversy of Zion“.
Everyone, especially those self-identifying as “jews“, should read this book.
Iran and Syria have a long standing mutual defence agreement and it is entirely up to President Assad who he allows in the country. These allies are there – with Russia and Hezbollah – to defeat the western and Israeli backed terrorists whose aim is to destroy all sovereign independent countries in the name of globalist one world government.
Perhaps we should focus on the illegal occupation of Syria by France, the US, Turkey and Israel (in the Golan) and support the Iranian and Hezbollah efforts to free the country.
Whilst most people post genuine comments even if sometimes a little inaccurate factually it is clear that paid trolls are also posting out right lies and misinformation such as the comment “Iran and Hezbollah are in Syria to attack Israel”. This is a lie.
I suppose the Zionists need their paid trolls because they are losing so badly -militarily, politically and in the court of world opinion.
Do you sincerely believe that the departure of Iran/Hezbollah and any new Iran Proxy militant groups that they have trained and fielded, will result in Turkey and US of A$$holes will suddenly leave on good faith? History tells us that it will never happen.
To remove partition as as solution, U.S. And Turkey have to go. The only way to achieve that is the departure of Iran/Hezbollah …
No, you misunderstand the situation. It is all about Israel. The initial idea was to secure Israel’s security by creating controlled chaos in a country hostile to Israel. A situation akin to that in Libya would suit them just fine. But how to do it? The Syrian government, and indeed a large part of Syrian society, is secular or, at best (depending on your point of view), non-sectarian — Assad, an Alawite (Shia sect, but disowned by certain Shia) is married to a Sunni, for example. The AZ imperialists, backed by some Wahhabi states, instigated the chaos by looking for and then exploiting natural fault lines (religious, sectarian and ethnic) in Syrian society. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t count on Hezbollah, Iran, and then Russia entering the fray.
They planned to Balkanize Syria somewhere along the lines of Lt Col Ralph Peters’ ‘Blood Borders’ though of course unlike Peters’ map Israel, KSA and the Gulf states won’t lose territory, God forbid.
After eight years of sponsoring violence and destruction, the chaos they instigated has somehow abated and they now find that their scheme has backfired spectacularly. Unlike Gaddafi, Assad has managed to survive. Worse, they now find that not only have the Iranians inched closer to Israel’s borders, the Iranians also have the potential of getting stronger with the sanctions removed. Hence JCPOA had to go and thus the world-class display of mendacity by their servant Trump who promptly tore it up to the disgust of his European friends who knew better.
The US is illegally occupying parts of north and eastern Syria in order to be midwife to a new Israel-fathered Kurdish entity. The Turks are there to ensure an abortion. Both are going to use their occupation of Syrian territory to extract concessions from Assad when the dust settles; the only difference being the Turks are doing it for their own national interest while the US are doing it not for their national interest but for Israel’s.
this is nonsense.
putting the blame on Iran and its proxies while israel and the USA bomb invade and talk regime change while targeting Iran after having destroyed Iraq Afghanistan etc.
In many ways silence is just as meaningful a card to play in the games of nations as are more explicit statements and moves. So we must take Putin’s silence as to where his red lines might be drawn to be a significant fact needing interpretation. Is his silence a move to keep his opponents guessing, and hence at bay? This would be similar to Trump’s strategy of trying to freeze his adversaries with the threat of unpredictable violent moves. Or is Putin actually uncertain where to draw the line against his aggressive empirical adversary? Or is his silence a mixture of both postures?
Only Putin himself could resolve these questions, and he is so far keeping us in the dark. My own feeling is that this silence of Putin is dangerous in the present world climate. If he does not speak up clearly on this matter of red lines, then he is increasing the possibility of a dangerous miscalculation from the other side – something they show every sign of being capable of.
Excellent analysis. Many were surprised that Bibi came to Moscow for the Victory Parade. Perhaps it was logical. Iran was obviously one of the chief topics of discussion. Bibi had Putin tell him personally what the Russian position is, namely that it has no intention of abandoning Iran, now that it is about to join the Eurasian Economic Union. What did Bibi had to offer ? Israels influence in having the US ease or lift sanctions ? Laughable. So long as the US has a privately owned central bank, called the US Fed, it will continue to work in destroying Russia. Israels influence in having the EU ease or cancel sanctions against Russia ? Again laughable. We already have a rift developing between European and US elites, as predicted by private analysts. By the second half of 2016 the EU lost 100 billion euros in trade with Russia. The EU is now being asked to instigate sanctions against Iran and lose more money. It has no intention. When sanctions were introduced against Russia, they were also indirectly introduced against Europe, the intent being to turn Europe away from Russia and towards the US, de facto turning it into a US colony. Sanctions against Iran are just a continuation of this policy.
Finally, as The Saker has correctly stated, the US is run by the Zionist Occupation Government, which wants to see Russia destroyed, a policy it began in 1917 when it financed and directed the Bolshevik Revolution.
This policy is now even more active, as the Russian-Chinese partnership has created the BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union and the Silk Road. In trying to have both Russia and China destroyed, the Zionists have succeeded in unifying them, with unexpected results. For Bibi to make empty promises and try some divide and conquer is again laughable, as Putin would never fall for it.
The US is now approaching a dead end. It did not succeed in destroying Russia and China, while at the same time it is seeing it’s European allies slowly, but surely, turn away from it, directing their attention towards the East. That’s the price you pay when you play empire.
You do know that Russia also has a privately owned central bank, right?
Russia is still having a private Central Bank that still issues a debth based currency which Russia still has to pay interest for. Russia does not even have sovereignty over its “own” central bank.
Moscow is, and has been since 2015, a center of multi-polar geopolitical power.
It is at least equal to the USA in the MENA region.
As for the Levant, East Mediterranean, Moscow is the definitively regional “decider”. Every nation has come to Moscow, including the old King of Saudi Arabia. And most have asked for Russian leadership, Russian action and Russian weapons.
All these are signs of Russian ascent. Bibi, himself, has made eight trips to Moscow in two years.
Every military and most intelligence service chiefs have been to Moscow recently.
Permission, cooperation, pleadings are the agenda.
It’s like ‘Simon Says’:
We intend to destroy Iran. May we?
We need to fly our planes overhead. May we?
If we shoot missiles and guided bombs at Assad . . . may we?
Then ‘Simon’ says: Do This!
Putin conditionalizes their actions, stifles their plans, disrupts their operations.
Not yet the Regional Hegemon, but the decider.
And none dare act with surprise, not informing the Russian Military, for fear of catastrophe should the Russians interpret the military attacks (which is what most of this is about) is directed at them in Syria or on the sea nearby.
With a token presence (though highly effective, brilliantly effective), Russia has established itself as the necessary power broker of the ME.
Moscow holds the vital stakes. More so, it has won the hearts and minds of the masses of the ME, and the leaders of these regimes all know it.
Russia has the lever and fulcrum. Archimedes is in Moscow, the fulcrum is in Syria.
And yet knowing all of what you have stated, the Empire will strike! We are not dealing with mainly rational actors here. This is not a game of conventional chess – the players have loaded guns on the table, and none of the combatants intends to play by the rules. The Empire is desperate, and will act from that desperation.
Yes. But in a nuclear age it matters a lot how the Empire collapses. As Einstein or somebody said, “cracking the atom changed everything, except how people think”. We need to wake up to the unique nature of playing with nuclear fire.
Well said. I was so disturbed and nauseated by Netanyahu’s presence in the Immortal Regiment that I needed time to digest this.
Then ,I realized that Netanyahu had to go to Moscow and he did this for the 12th or 13th time in 2 years. What does this mean ? it means he has to try to obtain something , he is pleading ,he is trying to negotiate . Not Mr. Putin ,who did not go to Tel Aviv not even once since Syrian debacle started .
It means all roads lead to Moscow ,even a chosen road.
As for Mr. Putin , I think he enjoyed in showing to the western world that Netanyahu had to dance to the Moscow’s tune ,on their most sacred day , in order to try to obtain a concession.
But Mr. Putin is too smart not to know the following :
-you can not trust the word of the Americans /Israelis ( this was proven again and again ; just look at the Iranian deal ,Gaddafi ‘s fate after he gave up his weapons and so on) ; Mr. Putin ‘s Russia said that America is ” agreement incapable”
-there is nothing they can offer that they would not revoke later ; we’ve seen this multiple times
-Russia and China and Iran are working ,on a long term plan ,to dismantle the petro-dollar ,the blood line of all American Zionist Empire’s power ; this is the only way to defeat the Hegemon ; the OBOR , of which Iran is a key part , is integral to the killing of the petro-dollar .
-Russia did not sacrifice so much in Syria just to to succumb now when the war is almost won , by betraying one of its key partners ,Iran ; and all this for peanuts ( even if kosher) offered by an untrustworthy psychopath . But I know Russia talks to enemies ; it is wise to do so.
-Russia will do many things in order to avoid a bigger conflict in the ME ,now that the chance for peace is so close ; but Russia will not forget its goal and get confused by trickery from a country known for ” by way of deception we should make wars” ; because if Russia does this ,it is finished .
-Mr. Putin is a 9 dan Judo master ,he likes to use the enemy’s energy against him
-I’ve heard that this last attack by Israel on Syria ,resulted in great loss for the zionists in the Golan Heights ,including the destruction of their prized intelligence station ; those Syrian missiles were fired with intel provided by a third party , not named. I wonder who that might be?
And in the background behind all the surface moves, there is a game of nuclear chicken going on where the Empire is playing the role of crazy and unpredictable, and pushing Russia into the role of rational and predictable. How Putin plays this dangerous game is crucial to all of us humans. I have indicated above that I think it is unnecessarily risky for Russia to play the “maybe I’m just crazy enough to pull the trigger” role in this Mexican standoff. Both parties taking that role means that sanity goes out the window, and reasoned communication is dead. One of the players has to keep a negotiating space open, or there is no way out. But the rational position must be held very firmly, and it must be made clear to your adversary that you are in no way capitulating. This is where clear red lines become important.
mike k
thank you for your thoughtful and insightful contributions.
I’m not sure about your prescription for VVP.
Let’s acknowledge that he is a master strategist, with more and better information than we have.
The demonstrations of the new advanced weaponry was quite a statement; the projected power of the Z.U.S.A. can be nullified by multiple vectors/options by the Rus.
If the zionist occupation program launches aggressive actions against rival and/or neighbour, they could be on their own within 60 minutes, with no nukes involved, and a rain of Hezbollah missiles, thousands a day, for weeks!
Still the zionist colonial occupiers murder the indigenous peoples with extremist belligerence!
Even the empire vassal nations must make tepid statements against this genocide, though it is sanitized by the Torah-Pharisees-Talmud collective’s fifth column in host nation-states.
I think keeping his cards close is a prudent strategy, which preserves maximum options, at the same time, the whacko Z.U.S.A. and their masters (some in the illegally occupied Palestinian lands, some embedded other places, including the territorial U.S.A.), lurch from one psychopathic episode to another, lessening and lessening their options.
I know, that your concern is that they will be boxed into only one option, destroy everything, and in case you don’t know, the Torah-Pharisees-Talmud collective has made their preference for total destruction over “losing well known, on countless occasions, and well documented; so, while I understand a good faith motive to ‘draw a line in the sand, this kind of information is always used against the purveyors of good faith by the pathological negative-sum-gain gamers.
Sorry, but you don’t honor a genocidal degenerate as Mr. Putin did by making him a special guest. (Unless it’s in a prison.) I have to unfortunately agree with PCR on this one.
Russia invited nutt yahoo of Israel in military parade of May 2018.!
Putin disappoints.
Even with massive mandate Putin thinks it wise to invite an enemy of Russia soon after his inauguration.
And he invites that enemy the day Russian ally Iran has been sanctioned again.
In many UN sanctions Russia was instrumental in having sanctions passed by UNO.
Betraying allies to please enemy will cost Russia dearly.
Putin has betrayed his voters by caring more for enemies than for friends .
After 1st march , it has been downhill for Putin and for Russia.
All these military parade will not being prestige or power to Russia again as russia has been shown to be a ciward .
Russia even invited nattayanu of israel for military oarade!.
That us a day after Jews and anglo sponsored sanctions against Iran. !
Russia always betrays her allies ultimately .
The Zionists who destroyed Russia -this stupid Russians think they are pro russian because they are russian jews !
Doing nothing by yapping never won no wars but thats just what Putin has been doing for years in Syria. Face it the man is a double dealing agent and people have been calling hin out for months now and I agree with them .
Damascus was Russia’s red line, and especially air defences. Or it was only talk, but then whats the mission in Syria ? Counting bodies and enemy incoming rockets ?
Putin is finally revealing his true colors, genuflecting to a debased, craven, corrupt empire he craves to join — giving a lie to pretty much everything he’s said and stood for — I’m trying to find a positive spin to this.
If you , Russia , want to remain that passive in Syria then get the fu_k out of Syria and stop playing both sides.
It is why no one trusts Russia, untrustworthy, and unreliable, and pretty much fucking useless as an ally.
You call Syria, and Iran allies, yet don’t even sell them S300.
Yet Russia happily sell S400 to NATO Turkey, and ISIS masters Saudi Arabia.
Jings, Kya. If you were in charge the whole planet would be on fire already!
If you admit that Russia has been severely provoked, what do you think an act of provocation is exactly? Fun, or an attempt to make some entity do something. And why? To create a situation to which the stick poker and its audience can react to.
The provocations against Russia have been attempts to get exactly the reaction you describe. Fight back.
The Russians are playing a very clever game in the face of deliberate provocations to commit acts of retaliation, providing a premise for war, economic and hot. So long as Russia lies still, even the very leverly prepared Skripal sham begins to make the US/UK look like the boy that cries ‘wolf’.
Yes, you are correct, but Putin hosting the imbecilic warmongerto attend the May Day Parade alienated the Shi’a crescent , the Arabs of the Levant. The simple minded masses will see this as a huge disappointment. A lot of the goodwill Russia has garnered over the last 3 years by intervening in Syria has been lost. And Israel won psy-op points, big time. And what signal is Putin sending the 20 million Russian Muslims, especially Chechens that have fought and died on Russia’s behalf in the Donbass and currently fighting in Syria for the Russian MoD. Putin should have done better in scheduling the disappointing hosting of Netanyahu on such a sensitive period.
@ bored
you are probably right about the loss of goodwill, but Putin has earned a great deal of ME respect for Russia very quickly by being consistent, the relationship is still young, and I believe he will regain your trust by continuing as he has to date. Netanyahoo, on the other hand, goes to all parties asking for permits to shed blood. I quite believe that the Russians, Iranians and Chinese are opting to allow the now frantic US and Israel to paint themselves blood red and unstable before the whole world with a series of small illegal conflicts.
Contrary to what we all see in the media and fear mongers, even here, that Russia et al are weakly allowing atrocities to happen, I actually think that these wars are in equal measure sustained and tactically managed by Iran, Russia and China to expose the neo nazi alliance in the eyes of the international community. At any point they can also be inflamed into a broader war at the extremities of US power projection which the US would almost certainly lose.
In short, I believe the US is being put, slowly and surely, into a strangle hold where its methods and ambitions are unsupported and its options of acting alone are suicide.
The Russians want peace. If they are not selling the S300 to Syria, we must conclude they believe it would not lead to peace. The logic behind this is for us to figure out. Things are not what they seem.
@ acacia
Agreed. The only solid outcome of yahoo’s visit to Russia was Putin agreeing to not transfer its S300 batteries free of charge to Syria. That tells us that the S300 can easily shoot down Israeli warplanes, that Putin thinks the Syrians would most likely do this, and that Yahoo has threatened that this would be the flash point for a massive escalation of the war. In other words, Syria can not be trusted not to respond to Israeli provocations.
This may seem weak, but implicit in this is that both parties know that the Israelis planes will fall out of the sky if and when Russia is compromised, essentially limiting Israel to illegal sniper fire. I believe Russia is allowing Israel to destroy its own arguments and international reputation.
If the S-300 ‘deal’ was the purpose of the visit, and a ‘no delivery’ was agreed; then it is almost certain the other side of the coin was a ‘no bomb’ Damascus clause etc.
In that case, the S-300 has proved a winner without needing to fire a shot.
I don’t know about anyone else but I stopped reading your ‘yapping’ diatribe when I reached the ‘Russians are cowards’ bit. Do you know what you come across as with a remark like that?
Oh the joy of hearing a balanced, sensible, realistic and probably about 50% accurate assessment of that which has caused so much unbalanced hysteria in the “Alt-Med”.
I say 50% accurate, because we must always remember that we ‘know’ barely 1% of what really goes down. All negotiations are behind closed doors. We get a velvet worded summary i.e. ” Iran and various objectives were discussed as was Syria and further planned moves”. Details? Nary a one. It probably has to be this way, although I ‘m not truly certain we have to be kept as much in the dark as we are. State secrets, obviously, classified material essential to keep from enemies bent on one’s destruction – yes, but it would certainly help all of us to be a bit better informed I think.
For the rest, we need to look at history, on the grounds that there is no better predictor of future behaviour than past behaviour. It’s been amazing to me, given the past 20 yrs or more of his past – achievements and spoken words on his views and philosophy – that so many were so fast to attribute such unacceptable motives and behaviours to Vladimir Vladimirovich when there were many more positives attributes available.
It speaks more to the mindset of those who do it, than it does to any assessment of Putin himself.
As to the claim that they have “smile when they dont’ want’ to smile” — true, probably. But I can remember a few times when I swear I could see the steam coming out of V.V.’s ears – and his cold, distant manner to N’hu was very clear to me.
Sometimes a little in facial expressions can tell us more than words.
In giving my opinion on what Putin should do, I am aware that based on his record, and his access to information I don’t have – I would defer to his decisions over mine. I realize that however interested I am in the fate of my world, I am only a spectator to these unfolding events. And yet somehow it seems important that those of us better informed than most, engage in these discussions. Isn’t this what citizens are supposed to do?
Yes, I agree, better informed citizens should discuss such issues, which is why it would be good were more information available. I’m aware of how little is – from all countries on all topics.
It ends up with the poorly informed and low of intellect swapping nonsense and the better informed more intelligent giving up because they are aware of how little they know.
It needs to be turned around – but how that would be done I confess I know not.
All we can say we really know is that Netanyahu arrived in Moscow for a working visit. Probably to do with Iran and Syria, but it might have been to sell a peanut crop for all we truly KNOW. Protocol dictates he had to be invited on the Victory Day celebrations, and for 90% of the time Putin looked very annoyed and avoided N’hu and didn’t address him.
During that time N’hu’s country sent missiles into Russia’s ally Syria. Why we dont know, nor what Putin said about it. One thing we can be sure though, is that, if, at some time down the track we read that Russia has hit Israel in some way, especially if it carries a social cachet and is humiliating to Israel, we can deduce that very probably Russia was Very Pissed Off with N’hu and his antics and has just repaid him.
Yes, indeed. Yesterday the US in provocation and in contravention of the UN/Europe etc. opened an embassy in Jerusalem and the Israeli’s sealed the deal with civilian blood by opening fire on unarmed civilians. ( Can you imagine the outrage if Trump placed sniper squads on the US border with Mexico?)
But today Russia opened the Kersh bridge in a dazzling display of competent building of infrastructure– Bloodlessly and for the benefit of their internal development. The whole world sees the difference. Blessed are the Peacemakers and, in Sikh metaphor, those who if necessary stand in the way of unrighteousness and say, No Way!
Iran has its own ax to grind in the midEast and at times it may be in synch with what is best for Syria, Lebanon, Iraq who are its allies but at other times, well, not so much. And it is up to them to decide without being beholden or dependent on Iran for their survival.
It is amazing, and disturbing, the number of snide anti-Iran comments popping up here – often out of nowhere and out of context. Take this one, for example: ” Iran has its own ax to grind in the midEast and at times it may be in synch with what is best for Syria” and “it is up to them to decide without being beholden or dependent on Iran for their survival”.
Yes, indeed, Iran has an axe to grind, and the name of that axe is survival. And the survival of like-minded states. Anything wrong about that? And the other small little thing is that it happens to be Iran’s neighborhood. It is not America’s neighborhood, nor Russia’s for that matter.
If the Iranians are wary it is because they have been back-stabbed by both the US and Russia. In any case, even if they rolled over for the Russians, the Russians are more likely to sell them down the river than to help in their defense. Remember how Russia helped Libya? Remember how they “delivered” their magical S300 system to the Iranians? See how wonderfully they are protecting Syria now?
The US, Russia, Turkey and Israel are there to stake their claim over the Syrian loot. The Iranians, by contrast, are only jostling for their long-term survival. If this sounds rude or harsh it may be because you have been listening to soothing lullabys for long. Wake up.
Ruslan’s reading of Netanyahu’s presence on V-Day is spot on I think. His take on the message Netanyahu was giving to the West was something I missed though I believe Netanyahu inadvertently also sent the message to the world. But at least the ZOGs in the West got confirmation from the Overlord that Russia is the main player in the ME and that they are to treat Russia accordingly, ie as the great power that she is.
I agree that Russian neutrality in any eventual Israel-Iran clash is the prize he was seeking. Who knows, perhaps he was begged by his US/Nato friends to sound out RF’s stand on the issue since it is they who have to do the dying should Israel decide to take on Iran. Israel will never dare take on Iran by itself. A smaller prize perhaps is if VVP could persuade the Ayatollahs (and Assad) to agree to a withdrawal of Iranian forces from Syria. In either case, as Ruslan has pointed out, he has precious little to offer VVP in return.
It is remarkable that VVP can treat Netanyahu civilly when he knows that below the surface it is the Israeli regime’s machinations via the ZOG US regime that have brought about not just the tragic situation in Syria but the Donbass as well. But hey, VVP once treated Mikhail Saakashvili well too.
Did that Nutty-Yahoo persuade Putin to surrender Iran?
Good heavens! No. Besides, Iran’s not Putin’s to surrender.
You need a little more …. elasticity… looking at what’s going on here….
This event starts with what Trump called a “very very severe fight between our troops and Russian troops and many people died.” He means many Americans died – Americans don’t count Other People Died and word is a whole bunch of SAS were captured by the Syrians at the same event. Nothing in the media but Trumpie’s not a politician – he doesn’t know how to keep his trap shut. (If you want to know where – tail end of his press conference with Japanese Abe.)
Anyway, many (200 tis said) Yankee dead = Trumpie very p’d off and promises shiny new “smart” missiles for Mr Putin. Ms May extra p’d off too ‘cos apparently she asked Russia’s help to get her (200 tis said) SAS’s back and was told to “Speak to Damascus” so she flies off the handle poisoning Skripals in Salisbury yelling “Putin-Personally Diddut!”
Still, these two, Trump and May (with a little tadpole tagging along) want to completely annihilate Syria’nRussia in Syria becos “Asaad did a chemical attack and it’s Russia’s fault.” Somebody called “Mad Dog” has to talk ’em out it and gets them to indulge their ire in a face saving blow-up-some-empty-buildings instead. Nutty-Yahoo tries to show them how to do it and he lobs missiles at a non-existent Iranian fortress in Syria that the Ayatollah built there just to invade Israel. The scene is set – the children are running wild – and then NutcakeYahoo bombs Syria 3 nights in a row!
Mr Putin raises an eyebrow – he does not approve. Next thing his minions are popping up all over the media musing “Russia MAY send S-300s to Syria….”
Take note: when Russia sends military stuff to Syria they don’t pre-anounce it. They just load boxes of stuff onto boats and planes and off it goes. (Mr P is a little dim in that dept – he just doesn’t understand that he’s supposed to ask America’s permission to do that. …NuttyYahoo thinks he should ask Israel’s permission.) So that they announced they might send S-300s to Syria means – they had no intention of actually sending S-300’s, they were ….. sending the NutcakeYahooFruitcake a message. That message was: “Stoppit!“
They, P+N, have a tele conflab and Nutti ends up in Moscow for a working “let’s discuss Syria and Iran” visit. First Mr P takes his guest on a walkabout. He shows him all the pretty things that will flatten his country (and to shiny glass if he insists) and then he shows him what happens to your citizens when you go to war. Very sobering.
Meeting: (Now take into account – I know because I was the fly on the wall there.)
They sit across the table and Mr Putin looks at Mr Netanyahu. That’s it. He looks. Mr Putin is a trained ex-KGB agent – he knows how to look. He can look at you for 5 hours straight without blinking. Mr N jabbers and stutters and mutters, dusts dandruff off his (own) lapel and splutters “Iran Iran IRAN – DEFEND OURSELVES!“ and Mr Putin ….. looks at him. (Included in his ex-KGB no-blinks training is how not to move a single muscle tic.
After an hour or so a completely exhausted and devastated Mr Netanyahu goes home. (Lucky for him he has Trump’s Jerusalem Embassy Move to cheer him up – and it does – he was joyously frenetic at that event.) And Mr Putin’s minions are all over the media saying “Russia won’t be sending S-300’s to Syria – Syria doesn’t need them.”
So you see, those S-300’s are a missile sitting in Moscow that is pointed at Israel. Israel misbehaves (bombs the SAA) and Putin turns it on. And we know it works – because that Nutty-Yahoo hasn’t thrown a bomb at Syria since.
Of course, NuttiYahoo has a memory like an American so the effect is unlikely to last very long and Mr P will have to …. turn it again.
… Perhaps next time Mr Putin’ll move it a little closer to Tel Aviv than Moscow – but that’s for Mr Netanyahu to risk.
A nice bunch of SAS and whole lot of grunts?
But how’s this – Trump tells the media present: he and Abe discussed a big fight between US and Russian forces where many people died – and not a single reporter picks up on it or asks questions about it then or later?
Netanjahu went to Moscow to sow discord between Iran and Russia, nothing more. He already has Trump on a tight leash, he can’t get one around Putins neck, that’s his problem.
He went there and while attending the biggest celebration in Russia – to which he probably invited himself to, Putin just didn’t refuse his request to attend (Seriously, if Netanjahu asked to come, should Putin have told him to go F himself instead?) – he ordered one of the biggest strikes on Syria Israel has performed since 2011. Making it appear as if there was a deal struck with Putin on Syria and Iran, when in reality, there was no such deal. It was a gamble, one Iran has yet to answer as far as I’m aware, so it cost them some hardware, nothing more.
Iran and Russia are on friendly terms but there is still mistrust between them, which Netanjahu tried to exploit and amplify.
Israel is operating on borrowed time, Iran needs to go before the US falls apart, the clock is ticking on the huge, megaton bomb that is the Wallstreet financial bubble. Iran is the local superpower, it has many enemies but also many friends, and is bar none, the most powerful middle eastern state. If the US goes down, Israel is next. It can’t survive surrounded by enemies, most of which it created and made with it’s own aggressive policies. Hezbollah is also stronger than ever, 12 years after giving the IDF a lot of stuff to think about.
Not to mention Netanjahus domestic problems, the constant protests, the legal troubles, the investigations against him etc., a war with Iran is a terrible solution, but a solution nonetheless for many of Israels and Netanjahus troubles. Will it ever happen? I have my doubts, Obama agreed to the JCPOA because the US can’t possibly hope to win a war against Iran, quite the opposite, Iran would humiliate the US beyond belief, Trump is either too dumb or too ideologically blind to see that and thus goes ahead with the tired old PNAC. It seems to voice of reason in all this will have to be the guy whose nickname is “Mad Dog”, he seems to be about the only one who thinks a war with Iran is a horrible idea, which it is, let’s hope he is enough to convince the rest of the loony bunch in charge.
Assad should make a deal the US and ksa and Israel. Let them undercut Russia and their has supply to Europe, while at the same time destroy the BRI. It’s clear Russia and China are only looking out for their best interest, why shouldn’t Assad do the same.
What are you talking about, make deals about gas. That is a small part of the bigger picture. The unbending objectives of this invasion also include wanting assad, the representative of a sovereign country, to go, you know, like Qaddafi. The Israelis want the Golan and Lebanon. They want US troops permanently occupied in the Kurdish region. They want to partition Syria permanently.
I hope you don’t have to negotiate a divorce or a contract any time soon. They are going to have the shirt off your back, champ.
This article suggests that Israel’s recent aggression against Syria was tacitly greenlighted–or at least not opposed–by Russia.
“At this point, there’s no longer any use in Alt-Media denying it, Russia and Israel are indeed allies, and what took place in the 24 hours of 8 and 9 May was a display of choreographed “military diplomacy” that represents one of the high points of the “Syrian show”. Sometimes events really are as simple as they appear, which in this case means that – whether one supports it, is against it, or feels indifferent towards it – Russia and Israel were coordinating Tel Aviv’s latest moves in Syria at the highest level of their leaderships, and that what took place after Netanyahu’s departure from Moscow was apparently greenlit by President Putin.”
Yesterday EU foreign ministers met to try to get the JCPA out of “intensive care” as Mogherini stated…yet usa state dept hosts a meeting for 200 ambassadors and similar people to discuss or be presented with the usa’s intentions to do whatever next following the usa withdrawal and taking this situation forward…..hhmmm…confirmation of the split or battlelines being drawn up or an exploration of consensus…or what?
Never mind all the chatter of the ‘non delivery’ of S300 of Syria, ‘they don’t need them’ … because Russian vessels armed with Kalibrs will be on guard…
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the country’s military vessels will be on a permanent standby in the Mediterranean Sea due to a terrorist threat in Syria.
“Due to the remaining threat of incursions by international terrorists in Syria, our ships carrying Kalibr cruise missiles will be constantly deployed in the Mediterranean Sea,” Putin said at a military meeting.
In the English sub-titles, the ribbon worn by Netanyahu was described as ‘Georgian’ – this in my opinion is wrong and should have been described as ‘Saint George’s’ ribbon.
‘Georgian’ means the state of Georgia a former country under the USSR.
Sorry but since Bibi at VictoryDay i can’t watch Russian information any more. I just want to know exactly what concessions VVP achieved from the neonazi Bibi to justify that special visit –
Was it allowing the following attack on Syria with apparently less Russian resistance that the previous combined international attack?
Was it the Russian ‘even handed’ response to the Gaza disaster asking for restraint on both sides, ie. the Palestinians should not peacefully protest their slaughter Vs the IDF killing 60 & injuring so very many more?
Please answer why Russia? i don’t understand. Are Russian oligarchy Jews your problem? Are you really in bed with important sections of the USA establishment? or with Zionist international banking? For me you have turned your victory into your defeat, both now & when you announced ‘victory in Syria’ back in ’17
Here is a link to PCR’s site which links to videos from Professor Norman Finkelstein, the sane Jew you should have invited to your special party –
“Sorry but since Bibi at VictoryDay i can’t watch Russian information any more.”
Such a great loss to humanity…does that mean you will be no longer posting comments here? Since if you no longer read the material, because it might be tainted by Russian imput, what would be the sense of commenting if one wasn’t simply trolling the site?
When it comes to essential topics, being “pretty sure” is not good enough. Money is the most essential of all. It is the absolute form of power. It buys all the other ones: economic, military, political, cultural etc…
Sperling44 is right: Russia does not even have sovereignty over its “own” central bank.
Wikipedia is very useful, but only on neutral subjects, that do not require a politically correct interpretation. Otherwise its real name is Kosherpedia.
When it says: “On 2 December 1990 the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR passed the Law on the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia), according to which the Bank of Russia has become a legal entity, the main bank of the RSFSR and was accountable to the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR.”, the real meaning is that a “legal entity” is an entity submitted to international law, therefore it is no longer the property of the RF. In other words, it’s an “independent” bank.
If you want to remain closest possible to the real facts, my general advise would be: whenever possible, don’t read opinions on the facts, by anyone, go to the source yourself.
In this particular case, the source is the central bank of Russia. Go and read the status of the bank, directly from its web site and you will understand that the Supreme Soviet has no real authority on the bank. http://www.cbr.ru/Content/Document/File/37343/law_cb_e.pdf
If you read the article 1, you’ll see that the main word here is “independently”.
Article 2:”The state shall not be liable for the obligations of the Bank of Russia and the
Bank of Russia shall not be liable for the obligations of the state ”
What if Putin wants to change the status of the central bank?
Article 7 will give you the answer:
“Draft federal laws and draft normative legal acts of the federal bodies of executive power relating to the fulfilment by the Bank of Russia of its functions shall be sent to the Bank of Russia for its appraisal.”
If he tries to overule this process, see article 6: “The Bank of Russia shall be entitled to appeal for the protection of its interests to international courts, courts of foreign states and arbitration courts.”
And you know that Putin is no violator of international laws, therefore his problem to take full control of the CBR.
You can read all the articles and see that the CBR is a normal “independent bank” member of the IMF and having to abide by its rules.
Therefore Russian currency (rubles) may only be created on the basis of the amount of the reserve currency (USD’s) possessed by the CBR (basicaly Russian exports (oil) in USD).
This is the way the money changers (MC) have enslaved the world: all “independent” central banks are only allowed to create their own currency, on the basis of the amount of reserve currency (USD) they own. So the world is always in need of the USD’s that the MC keep creating ex nihilo, against payment of an interest (usury). According to Margrit Kennedy, 40% of our income is absorbed by the interest imposed on money, this affecting the prices of any good we buy.
Only countries owning a reserve currency (USD, CAD, Euro, Pound, Guilder, CH Franc, Yen) can create their own currency (debt) at will. The interesting thing about the Yuan is that since 2015, it has become one of the reserve currencies and in 2016 (if my memory is right) part of the basket of currencies valuing the SDR.
As far as the Petro-Yuan is concerned, in my opinion, if Russia or any country would export their oil in Yuans, their “independent” CB would be entitled to legally create Rubles or their own currency from Yuans, therefore no longer needing the sacrosanct USD to create the money their citizens need.
Keep your eye on the ball.
Yes. Eye on the ball.

Balaclava is in Crimea!
Yes, out of date cut and paste. Sorry.
Balaclava(Ukraine)? Seriously?
@Sperling
US has bases in Syria. Therefore, not stopped at all. Ukraine is kaput as far as BRI concerned. Therefore cases not as you suggest.
What if the AngloZionists/ZioWahhabis can’t stop Turkey? [hint; they can’t] See Ibrahim Karagül’s latest column: https://www.yenisafak.com/en/
@anon
KSA, Jordan, gulfies. No one at all. Of course everyone can see that the US isn’t isolated at all.
some jewish Satanyahoo sympathizers in some governing spheres give me cause for concern:when you adhere to capitalist “handling”, the money-suppliers affect all the other “hands” doing the job of governing-Putin included!maybe, perhaps,so I hope, president Putin is keeping them close in order to have them on-sight:do not forget they are the scions of those who tried to get rid of Stalin for 25 years & created, for cause of hysteria, the internal violence of USSR.
Very good comment. A political scientist.
Sperling 44:
Mod. Do you mean Syria or Iran??
Im pretty much sure that Russia owns his central bank: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Bank_of_Russia
Sadly and unbelievably true and good point re: the “metro yuan/ruble”.
You forgot this – to protect Gazprom’s gas revenues from Europe by preventing a gas pipeline fro Qatar to Europe.
“… walked with the St. George ribbon…” — eh, ???
“With the Devil you have to refuse to play and tell him to go back to Hell.”
Seems as if Putin told Netanyahu “no deal” and sent him back to Israel.
Lysander,
Some sort of phased drawn down would have to be negotiated so that each side knows that the others are keeping their word.
Agree
Trump and the US are going nowhere until the oil is secured and this is why.

Shia terrorists?
This man is then supporting Sunni terrorists whom usa and uk have sent to syria..

Not an attack but a retaliation and warning.
Your characterizing Iran and Hezbollah’s forces in Syria as “terrorists” tells me where you at coming from.
Both are going to use their occupation of Syrian territory to extract concessions from Assad when the dust settles; the only difference being the Turks are doing it for their own national interest while the US are doing it not for their national interest but for Israel’s.
basil
this is nonsense.
putting the blame on Iran and its proxies while israel and the USA bomb invade and talk regime change while targeting Iran after having destroyed Iraq Afghanistan etc.
where in the world do you get your ideas from?
Same goes for China.
Simple and correct analysis by Ruslan.
The Empire is desperate, and will act from that desperation.
mike k
That is correct. An empire does not like to collapse. It will chose any method to survive. However, in the end they always collapse.
See here: http://www.voltairenet.org/article201135.html
Wake up.
Thanks for the video the Saker.
But hey, VVP once treated Mikhail Saakashvili well too.
basil
Cat Pillar,
You have a way with words. I like it.
Thank you for the explanation.
Regards,
Carmel by the Sea
200 SAS…
That’s practically the full operational headcount of the regiment not including reservists. Your claim doesn’t sound credible at all.
Not my claim – Free West Media’s… I just … borrowed it.
http://freewestmedia.com/2018/04/11/skripal-affair-real-reason-is-capture-of-200-sas-soldiers-in-ghouta/
A nice bunch of SAS and whole lot of grunts?
But how’s this – Trump tells the media present: he and Abe discussed a big fight between US and Russian forces where many people died – and not a single reporter picks up on it or asks questions about it then or later?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aSm8b6Fg60
38:34 onwards.
That’s the best analysis of BNs visit i’ve encountered, makes the most sense to me.
Putin is an unreliable partner…just like t
Trump.
Who or what is t trump? An ex of yours, or former business partner who wised up?
Assad should make a deal the US and ksa and Israel. Let them undercut Russia and their has supply to Europe, while at the same time destroy the BRI. It’s clear Russia and China are only looking out for their best interest, why shouldn’t Assad do the same.
Sorry your feelings were hurt vot tak…
@ the fed
What are you talking about, make deals about gas. That is a small part of the bigger picture. The unbending objectives of this invasion also include wanting assad, the representative of a sovereign country, to go, you know, like Qaddafi. The Israelis want the Golan and Lebanon. They want US troops permanently occupied in the Kurdish region. They want to partition Syria permanently.
I hope you don’t have to negotiate a divorce or a contract any time soon. They are going to have the shirt off your back, champ.
@proper gander
I sure your comment made sense in your head…
Really? I gave up with the white on white on white English captions
Hope this is the case because by siding with Arabs, Iran, Hizbollah etc Russia is not siding with “Islam” or with “Muslims”.
Russia is fighting for herself. This is the punch line that Russkies should know!
And so Syria should get S300.
Russia should force Britain to send Yulya Skripal back home to Russia. She is Russian citizen kidnapped by another state.

I think Ruslans Otashkos version of events is much nearer the truth and reality than Andrew Korybkos. As ever, time will tell.

@parnassus
Any speculation as to how VVP can maneuver out of this ‘trap’?
It seems to me that many nations are seeking a solution.
If you are interested in the concept of sovereignty, you’ll find this book by Nikolay Starikov very interesting and informative. He analyses in details the problem of the CBR and the chapter 12 deals specifically with the object of your question.
