Last night, Washington together with its British and French vassals launched an attack on Syria after days of threats and speculation. Initial reports seem to indicate that over 100 missiles were fired into areas of the Damascus and Homs provinces. It was expected that the strikes would occur before the weekend and the Syrian military had been placed on high alert on Friday night in anticipation of these strikes.
As I mentioned weeks ago, Moscow seemed to be standing firm in its resolve to prevent Washington and its vassals from attacking Syria and trying to change the course of the war, while Washington has placed itself in a position where it cannot back down anymore, unless it wants to hurt its own reputation on the global stage. U.S president Trump chose to embarrassingly take to twitter and threaten Russia with “nice, new and smart” missiles, while U.S ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley put up an act at the UNSC meeting, worthy of an Oscar. These pointless outbursts aside, Washington was mostly looking to show the world that it still is a relevant player in the Syrian war. Of course, whatever Washington does, the Europeans will hop on board, even with Trump in office, even though Washington has not presented a single shred of evidence to back its claim, even when they know that this move will only serve to strengthen terrorism in the country. This shows how weak the European regimes truly are.
Last week, the Iranian, Turkish and Russian presidents met once more in Ankara to discuss how to move forward with the Syrian war that has been dragging on for over seven years now. All in all the meeting reaffirmed the answer to the question of who’s in charge in Syria while it also shows how irrelevant Washington is being considered these days. The three leaders issued a joint statement where they “rejected all attempts to create new realities on the ground under the pretext of combatting terrorism and expressed their determination to stand against separatist agendas aimed at undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria as well as the national security of neighbouring countries”.
The realities that Washington refuses to admit is that it can no longer make any difference on the ground in Syria. There are no more “moderate rebels”, no more ISIL, no more Al-Qaeda and now with Turkey’s intervention in Afrin, no more Kurds either that can potentially change the game. Washington has no strategies left in Syria and are only looking to hit back at Moscow for humiliating them through a mix of master strokes of diplomacy and a highly effective military campaign, leaving Washington side-lined in Syria.
So what happened last night then? The fact that they launched the attack hours before the OPCW probe was about to start in Douma, indicates that Washington has something to hide. According to preliminary reports, U.S together with its British and French allies launched over 100 cruise missiles, targeting Damascus and Homs. The same reports indicate that they didn’t hit anything of significance whatsoever and the Russian Ministry of Defence stated that 71 of these cruise missiles were intercepted by Syrian Air Defence. No political institutions were hit, no Iranian or Hezbollah personnel, and of course no Russian personnel were even remotely in danger. What they seem to have targeted are a few empty bases and warehouses, which clearly indicates that Washington was well deterred by Moscow and Tehran’s threats (I will explain this soon). So why did Moscow allow Washington to fire these missiles then? The answer is simple: because Russia is a responsible player in the international arena, while Washington is filled with a bunch of children with too powerful toys to play with. Washington and its allies knew they would be hitting empty bases as the Syrian military had moved many of its assets to Russian bases several days before, this was about a “show of strength” to these complete idiots.
Moscow did its utmost to avert a dangerous escalation of the situation, despite warning that it will respond to Washington’s aggression, this is evident if we look at what happened right the day before last night’s strikes. Moscow had warned that it will down any missiles targeting Syria which coincided with several traditional U.S allies stating that they will not join in on the attack on Syria, including Germany, Italy and Canada. The relatively few U.S allies willing to join in on the latest round of aggression based on bogus charges shows that Washington’s allies are losing their resolve and that only Washington’s closest lapdogs stood by their side when faced with a potential standoff with Russia.
The fact that Moscow still didn’t reply to Washington’s aggression when push came to shove, disappointed many, but I argue that they fail to see beyond the rhetoric offered by Washington. Moscow isn’t known for bloating and posturing like Washington and its vassals do, but the truth is that the outcome of Washington’s futile aggression is the result of a successful Russian-Iranian deterrence strategy along with pragmatic diplomacy. While Russia had stated that it would engage any missile launched at Syria, some reports indicated that Tehran had informed Moscow that it would respond “harshly” if Israel were to take part in any kind of attack or intervention, this information was later passed on to Tel Aviv.
Meanwhile, Russia maintained several times that the lines of communication with Washington was still open, and Macron declared he wanted to intensify the dialogue on Syria in order to “de-escalate” the situation, only hours before the strikes began. We don’t know what the leaders of these countries said to each other exactly, but the only logical explanation to this outcome is that they must have agreed to a compromise to de-escalate the very dangerous situation that had developed the days before. This compromise allowed Washington to save face while Moscow would not respond to Washington’s symbolic attack on empty facilities. It is easy to think that Washington humiliated Moscow by striking Syria and with Moscow opting not to respond, but it is Moscow that has been humiliating Washington, not only last night or last week but since it entered Syria in 2015. Since then, president Putin’s successful Syria policy has managed to tame Turkey, side-line Washington and help the Syrian Army become a fighting force again.
So what happens now? In this crazy war where over a dozen countries are involved, your guess is as good as mine, but one thing remains as clear as it was last week after the Ankara meeting: Washington has utterly lost the war in Syria. Their resolve is shattered, and they have now proven that they indeed do fear Moscow’s military might, or they would have actually struck something of value to prove a point.
But Washington will not stop its fight here. Syria and Iran are too much of a problem for them to back down, ever.
“…the only logical explanation to this outcome is that they must have agreed to a compromise to de-escalate the very dangerous situation that had developed the days before. This compromise allowed Washington to save face while Moscow would not respond to Washington’s symbolic attack on empty facilities.”
Yes, this is the explanation that makes the most sense, and thank God that cooler heads prevailed. Still, the very idea that somehow the Zionist lobby in DC can make a President who promised no war in Syria to do exactly the opposite makes me wonder if there’s any hope at all for the USSA. I am just so sick of the lies and propaganda. I guess I just have to hope and pray for “regime change” in my own country, and apparently that won’t happen peacefully. God knows that the normal democratic process doesn’t work anymore.
If we look back on the Jewish Mafia’s by-way-of-deception performance over the last four years, we see a long, uninterrupted series of hilarious blunders, culminating in Yesterday’s attack on Syria.
107 missiles fired (on mostly empty compounds) by Mafia assets US, France & UK, 71 taken out by Syria’s air defence, the Russians in stand-by mode, only nervous that some of the Mafia military complex’s missiles could miss their hoax targets and hit a hamster or something.
Big show, big fail. But mostly Shakespearean theatrics to mock the people worldwide. Classic Jewish Mafia stuff. Every party involved – including Russia – adhered to agreed script.
Soon the fraudulent event will be turned into a Hollywood CGI movie where the usual suspects launch maybe a dozen missiles, and all 144 of them hitting their targets. It will be this narrative that will make it into the Jewish Mafia controlled school and history books.
Homework assignment:
– Realize that the hoaxing of events is not the exception, but the rule. This nonsense has been going on for millennia.
– Reexamine famous historical events – revolutions, wars, moon landings, witch trials, Charlie Hebdos, religious woo woo, etc. – and find that on average only 5% has any resemblance with reality, while the remaining 95% are staged, hoaxed or simply invented by Rabbinic writer committees.
Ziad, the master of geo-political satire, sums up the ruse quite nicely.

Go ahead, putin.
Now get the the rat infested province of Idlib cleansed up from top to bottom.
Sparing with VVP’s Russia be like walking thru wet cement with state of the art swords ever ready to fall top of on you
In 2016 Iran co-developed with OPCW a series of fourth generation nerve agents of what has now been termed nivichok to elucidate the chemistries and develop antidotes. Given the terrible suffering of the Iranians in the Iran-Iraq war wherein Iraq used Western supplied CW agents to kill thousands of Iranians it is understandable that they would very much like to have a suite of antidotes and a set of methodologies in place to deal with novichok type nerve agent attacks upon its nationals if such were ever to occur.
The West is aiming at framing Iran or Hezbollah for CW use. The type will resemble if not exactly correspond to the work conducted by Iran in conjunction with the OPCW in 2016.
That’s when the attack on Iran comes. After false flag attacks on internationalist personnel with a novichok. The West will have stolen a sample or portion of same of at least one of the novichoks studied by Iran in 2016. The evidence pointing at Iran will be bolstered by salted novichok samples derived from the OPCW samples vaults. The West is currently bashing the OPCW into total submission. It think the OPCW may stab the truth in the back with respect to Douma.
Yes agree with you on putting trust on the OPCW.
interesting indeed
maybe that’s why they staged this Syrian
fake gas attack
so next time in case of Iran they will act even faster
Yes it is funny how Western media forgets they pushed Saddam to invade Iran and when resistance came he used poison gas supplied, sponsored, and hardly mentioned by Western media against Iranians defending their country from Sunni invasion………yet under the Shah the US turned a blind eye to Iran developing nuclear weapons with South Africa and Israeli help
We are in round 5 of “rumble in the jungle” and the “rope a dope” strategy is working. Clean up the southern pockets, Idlib in the north and east of the Euphrates.
It is frustrating seeing the US attack countries with impunity and expect more responses from Russia than they want, can or should be expected to do.
Always remember who won that fight.
We know Russia is in Syria to assist the SAA in its fight against the primary enemy (SDF, ISIL/ISIS, etc.) who are trying to overthrow President Assad’s government. But Russia is not engaged in conflict with secondary enemy number 1 which is the U.S, who provide the primary enemy with multiple levels of logistic support, (weapons, ammunition, intelligence, etc.) or secondary enemy number 2, which is Israel. Turkey could be labeled tertiary enemy number 1 but it seems Erdogan’s armed forces are only in Syria to crush the Kurdish belligerents.
Obviously the score card of this deadly game is very confusing. It would help us to understand when a Russian government representative (Foreign Service or Defense Forces) presents an ultimatum such as recently when they told the United States that if Russian personnel are harmed (meaning what, injured or killed?) by the cruise missile attacks, the Defense Ministry would respond to protect its people.
What does “respond” convey, exactly? Does it mean: file a complaint with the UN, remove U.S. diplomats from Russia or does it say a lethal counter strike will be executed against U.S. military personnel and their assets? I’d just like to be emotionally prepared when it happens because it will inevitably happen; that’s why I ask.
I’ve gone off the deep end about this recent attack and perhaps it’s because the rules of engagement are not fixed but fluid instead and not clearly articulated.through official communication channels.
Russia is only capable of taking on NATO using nuclear weapons; it has conventional inferiority. If Russia enters the Armageddon Strategy it may mean the end of human life in vast areas of this planet and radioactive ecology for hundreds of years.
I find it surprising how many scribblers think this is an easy option yet get worked up if a few children look dead or dying on a video……..bizarre……
using Nukes is the end of life …. period…..
Abolition Caucus . com
2 % launched of the 15,000 shared between Russia and US is all that is needed.. let alone all 15000 flying.
Dont lets go there.
Russia has significant conventional superiority over NATO. Don’t be fooled by the numbers game. Most NATO countries do not actually have an army in the true sense of the word. What personnel they do have is mostly support and command echelon. The number of actual ‘trigger pullers’ is a very small percentage. They have sold off most of their equipment, have spent little on upgrades or replacements and skimped on maintenance and repair. It’s a good day if a unit has 50% of it’s main combat systems operational. Good days are rare. Over the last 25 years they have not only downsized in terms of manpower and equipment, they have have lost the know-how built up during the cold war of how to conduct peer-to-peer warfare. They are clueless.
And many of the ‘larger’ NATO armies such as Turkey, Greece, Italy and Spain have little desire of fighting Russia. Don’t forget NATO countries are under no obligation to fight for each other when attacked. The NATO charter calls on them to ‘help’ each other but says nothing on what kind of help has to be given. A sternly worded letter to the Russians to stop would technically do.
Conventional does not mean manpower –
Paul, welcome to reality. Yesterday night Syria showed that she along can successfuly defend against USA conventional high tech wepons and Russia didn’t even have to show it’s hand. That’s with ancient Soviet era tech (with a little upgrade within last year) S125, S200. Inferiority?
Well, one reaction to Washington’s criminal attacks on Syria is that there seems be anti-war protests again in the US:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N–ZwMUqAuo
And also in Greece:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9HkvfPqeeQ
Of course, there were also protests against this Neocon crime in Syria itself:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4EIjYRXeGQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvDTQyIp2RE
And by the Syrian diaspora all over the world:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvDAzseFwqg
We have to thank US military command too, Mattis,Dunford,Kelly and other cool heads.
I don’t know if it’s true but the Three Musketeers are planning now a ground invasion:
https://sputniknews.com/military/201804151063572249-UN-head-warns-of-escalation/
Russia should speed up with massive ground forces and air cover in Syria, or anyway, they know better.
@ Izaates
” The substance used on Sergei Skripal was an agent called BZ, according to Swiss state Spiez lab, the Russian foreign minister said. The toxin was never produced in Russia, but was in service in the US, UK, and other NATO states. ”
https://www.rt.com/news/424149-skripal-poisoning-bz-lavrov/
Yes we know Swiss say BZ and we also know the UK wants the story to be about novichok and that Iran and the OPCW did a study on novichok in 2016. So apart from smearing RF the UK is building a bridge to a position in Syria where the West can frame Iran with a “new” novichok. This new novichok will resemble Iranian 2016 OPCW joint elucidation and just for fun include some ingredient traceable to a factory in Moscow area.
Novichok is only new. It is a geopolitical weapon. It it aimed at triggering ww3. It is aimed at the hearts of Syria, Iran, and, Russia.
Novichok is the 4d chess attack horse of the West. It has only just sauntered onto the world stage.
“Novichok is only new. It is a geopolitical weapon. It it aimed at triggering ww3. It is aimed at the hearts of Syria, Iran, and, Russia.”
I agree 99.99%.
What if Saudi Arabia (….) starts dropping chlorine bombs or cylinders on Yemen(….) cities.
Many casualties. Pictures everywhere in the free media.Emotions run high. The guilt could pass to those who arm them, US,UK,France…
If the people reading MSM and MSM wont believe it,even better. Through repetitions ( crying wolf ) the chemical attacks become superfluous, obsolete.
I believe the Swiss said they found both a nerve agent and BZ Two different and pretty unrelated compounds.
I hypothesize that the samples were genuine – at least the samples the Swiss examined, but that MI6 salted the evidence with agent “N” at Porton Down.
When the crime lab finds that the “suspect” is linked to the “weapon”, they stop looking. All those other “fingerprints” are ignored. Similarly, labs follow what’s on the work order. “look for compound X” will give a yes or no… “look and see what is there” may well give a complete answer.
The Swiss maybe exceeded their orders. They are always through… So I surmise all the samples – all the other labs samples – had BZ too. But they were not told to look for BZ, just for “Novastuff” the magic poison so deadly that nobody could have survived… Well, it was Easter, maybe it was a miracle… Yes?
Right…
BZ symptoms sound about right, eh? Or maybe bad oysters… And was Mr S in on the operation…or is he kidnapped…waiting for his plane crash?
The political strategy of the US now is to block the Geneva talks/process.
However, the Geneva talks is the fifth wheel of resolving the Syrian domestic political rebirth. Astana is the where the concrete objectives and solutions are worked out.
The rules have been laid down long ago by Putin. All sectors and factions are welcome to participate in the creation of the Syrian Constitution, the elections for Parliament and the Presidency, and how the wealth of the nation and social services should be shared.
Any group that refuses to participate and that does not surrender its heavy weapons and/or does not accept the government’s authority will be crushed as terrorists.
This gives rise to the US intention to back insurgents. In the Southwest, in al Tanf zone, in Deir ez Zor zone and in the North with Kurds.
The US military and CIA/Mossad and IDF have plenty of officers working with the holdout groups. Money is now guaranteed to flow from SA and Qatar and UAE. Trump has billions to work with on the books. Billions more, most likely, off the books.
So, sabotaging the Geneva process by keeping this chemical weapons accusation front and center and by manipulating the stooges who think by losing the civil war and allying with AQ/al Nusra and ISIS their political agenda will topple Assad are the tenets of the US Syrian policy of military, diplomacy and economic chaos.
Haley, Trump, Penc, DOD, DOS all enunciated today where the Hegemon is heading.
The Syrian War 2.0 is now aimed at Russia and Iran, and only tangentially at Syrian government and Assad.
Russia must get Iran and China to flow all the weapons, munitions and logistical support for Syria and its ground force allies to deal with what is coming.
The next strike, and there likely will be another, will be the swarms of missiles we know are necessary to defeat the missile defenses. 500 minimum. The precursor will be failure of Trump with Kim. If that negotiation looks implacable, Trump will need a wag of the dog. However, it will have to be huge and hit Iran’s assets everywhere in Syria. All Hezbollah and Iranian troops and installations and militias, with as many casualties as possible for those fighters. And some Syrian airfields just to make up for the misses this time.
What stops this US game plan is Russian willingness to bring the next level of weapons–Iskanders.
The Hegemon feels its troops on the ground are safe. They should realize, if they swarm the air defenses next time, what they have on the ground will be pulverized. Just as Israel well knows, too large an attack by the IDF will mean whole cities in Israel will be rocketed to ashes done by Hezbollah.
The War has to be constructed so the aggressor coalition realizes they will lose their in-theater and local assets. After all, their war plans all along were to utterly destroy Syria and whoever helped her.
Deduced from the logic of your posit, if Washington attack Iran assets and personnel in Syria what stops Tehran from doing the same to America’s assets and personnel spread all over the middle east? As this not been the cornerstone of Iran’s defence doctrine that as deter Washington from attacking Iran for decades?
Sometimes we give this dying empire credit more than it deserve, the hegemon is weak and I for one believe Washington would have invade Syria without hesitation even before Russia intervention if they believe they could win.
You are right Larch.445,
It is to derail the Geneva process:
https://sputniknews.com/us/201804151063574170-syria-must-declare-chemical-weapons/
and
https://www.rt.com/newsline/424174-germany-france-uk-us/
“Germany, France, UK, US to discuss next steps in London on Sunday after Syria strikes……”
Getting themselves all on the same song sheet – hmm.
All their plans are so obvious – discredit Russia with Skripal (and all the other stuff over the last four years) – do their false flag chemical attacks in Syria – do an act of aggression on Syria to divert attention and keep the chemical attack narrative going and try again tomorrow to re-introduce the same UN resolution so they can control the narrative – Russia and others will just veto it anyway.
Unfortunately for them the ship has sailed Astana has happened; Syrian army is winning; OPCW is doing its gathering of evidence; Skripal is falling apart and the failure of their missiles against Soviet era defences has shown the world that the Emperor isn’t all that!
Larch, while I agree with your assessments usually, I feel you, like most, are missing what is really going on here.
Look at Qanons posts… my understanding is there was a LOT of behind the scenes communicating going on over this entire incident. The strike on Syria was NOT a strike against Syria, but rather a strike against the clowns, CIA, and thier assets INSIDE Syria masquerading as a strike on Syria. We are witnessing a war inside the Deep State between the white hats and black hats. The white hats are playing the media like the fools they are, and indeed playing the clowns as well. Both the media, black hats and clowns think they are playing Trump when in fact it is the other way around.
Apparently a few weeks ago the Syrian army captured 11 Brits, some Americans, an Israeli and a Saudi in East Ghouta that were training the jihadis on how to use the brand new 100+ mortar shells loaded with VK gas that were found with them, delivered from Porton Downs in the U.K. (Where Skipral worked)
Marines were sent in to rescue them and remove the evidence (the mortar shells) but were wiped out by the SAA.
The Syrians refused to release the operatives so MI6 carried out the Skipral false flag to pressure the Russians to force Assad to give up his captives. When that didn’t work, even though the mortars with the gas had been captured the jihadis went ahead and faked a gas attack anyway.
Under SEEMINGLY pressure from the black hats in the deep state and the MSM, Trump decided to kill two birds with one stone… ‘look strong’ and demonstrate he is not a Russian puppet by ordering this strike and at the same time take out deep state operatives in Syria. There are indications this has been well planned in advance and that Trump had to motivate the fake gas attack to occur to trigger it. He did this by announcing the troop withdrawal and reinforced the deception with those ridiculous tweets.
Meanwhile relatives of soldiers serving there are reporting the troop withdrawal from Syria is going ahead as planned, but quietly.
The air strike was seemingly REALLY against ISIS; not Syria, Russia or the people of Syria. There are whispers the air strike destroyed its intended target, that being an ISIS chemical holding area and the traitor intelligence people, the clowns Qanon refers to, the black hats. The strike’s other purpose was to expose traitors within and one by one they poked their heads-up in mainstream media and let it be known where they stood and more importantly who they are.
An interesting story, truly, the most compelling part of it is the interestingness.
What predictive measureables can be applied to what happens next to verify and test after the fact?
i.e. supporting the story?
You must have some predicted outcomes, what are they?
@The political strategy of the US now is to block the Geneva talks/process. The Syrian War 2.0 is now aimed at Russia and Iran, and only tangentially at Syrian government and Assad.
Right. That was it from the start. But this strategy can succeed only if Syria is obliterated and turned against Iran and Russia. Russia can be defeated only if the Atlantists strike at the core, in Siberia and Central Asia. But they cant do it with China in their way. They would have to take China out first, which we must agree that can happen only in video games.
Well, a big round of applause for a brilliantly conceived and implemented operation by the Pentagon and the Russians. It doesn’t matter how many missiles were launched, how many actually struck, to where they went or how many were intercepted, the major parties, USA, Russia and Syria, all got the narratives that they wished from this event. The USA claims total success. Trump is triumphant and tweets, “Mission accomplished,” trolling Dubya. The Russians didn’t have to activate their defences and reveal too many secrets. They can make the claim that, if the obsolete Soviet S200 air defence systems with the newer Pantsir short range AD in the hands of a third-world nation can withstand a massive bombardment of sub-sonic cruise missiles, just imagine what the S300 and S400 can do. Expect sales galore, notwithstanding US sanctions. The Syrian population is jubilant, and even more supportive of Assad, out in the streets waving flags and chanting, “Allah! Souria! Bashar o bas!” “Bashar only” Somewhat reminiscent of “Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer,” but at least God is first. Meanwhile, the rest of the world breathes huge sighs of relief that WWIII hasn’t started just yet. Shakespeare couldn’t do it better.
One can certainly accuse the “perfumed princes of the Pentagon,” as the late, great Colonel David Hackworth labelled them, of being self-serving and corrupt, but they are not stupid. Their role is not to initiate great wars but to engage in the sustainable, “green” enterprise of funnelling the “green” into the MIC, which benefits primarily the east coast (Wall Street) and the west coast (Silicon valley, Boeing, etc.) It doesn’t benefit Trump’s voter base in middle America. Those people, with their patriotic instinct to serve their country, are the ones who suffer the consequences of prolonged warfare, the deaths, the disabilities, physical and mental, homelessness and the opioid addiction epidemic. Trump appealed to his base’s wish for an end to all this, in his campaign.
Alex Jones was going nuts on Friday night on InfoWars, cursing Trump and ranting about betrayal. He was a major factor in Trump’s election success. The Pentagon understands this. Now they are going to have to help Trump against the chickenhawk, neocon warmongers by helping him to pull out of Syria and bring the troops home, probably in conjunction with a large triumphant military parade that Trump wants to see in Washington, and where he also presents many medals. That is the one big campaign promise that he must fulfil to get his base back onside in time for the mid-terms, and then his re-election. The real combat colonels will be pushing their “superiors” toward this end as well.
The big losers will be the Limeys. The “White Helmets” are their project, run by MI6 agent, James le Messurier, who just happens to be friend of MI6 agent, Christopher Steele, who concocted the infamous “Russian dossier” about Trump’s supposed misadventures in Moscow at the Miss Universe pageant in 2013. The Pentagon knows full well that the supposed CW attacks in 2013, 2017 and 2018 were all false flags by the “White Helmets,” and undeniable, now that the Russians have presented clear and unequivocal evidence that the Limeys prompted these false flags, each time that the US tried to pull back from direct engagement in Syria. The alt-right is already all over this 3peat false-flag “coincidence” story. The Pentagon will have to tell the Limeys that, if they try to pull that stunt ever again, they will be in deep shit, and all alone.
With the revelation that the Swiss lab acting for the OPCW has identified the toxic agent used on the Skripals as BZ, an agent only ever weaponized by the US and NATO, and, strangely enough, also one causing the same symptoms observed in the “victims” in the “White Helmet” videos of their first two false flags. In this last and third one, they just took advantage of people rescued from a burning building, who were already suffering from smoke inhalation. The Skripals are connected to Steele, and of course to MI6, as are most of the seemingly “deep throats” supporting the “Russian dossier.” The Pentagon will use all of this information in “steering” Trump The heat on the Limeys is going to be very intense. If things go wrong, a scape goat will be needed.
if that’s true it would be great but it sounds a bit to optimistic to me
There are two superpowers United States and Public Opinion. United States has attacked 72 countries since WWII. The world is starting to understand that every political act in the Middle East is a lie, that is a small victory for Public Opinion. Sikes Picot the 1916 secret agreement between UK and France divided the Middle East into spheres of influence controlled by Britain and France. This division was created with a lie. The curse of this agreement still haunts the Middle East as other lies followed, more recently on Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Palestine and Just now Syria. In every case Public Opinion lost and lies won. If we remain silent they gain control of our mind and our humanity and they win our self-respect and gain control over us. “Lock and load” she said in the UN and Canada’s Trudeau and his Nazi Foreign Minister shamefully agreed.

Kazakhstan abstained ! No good news.
With Russian actions of lack of it towards the latest criminal activity by rotten empire (mild statements already seen before that do nothing), are we surprised that let say Kazakhstan abstained?
Did Russia really expect UNSC with few NATO countries as a part of it (3 of them took part in attack) and their satellites would condemn recent aggression? What a waste of time.
And why Russia hasn’t already given S-300 or S-400 to Syria instead of saying ‘it might consider’, while selling it to unreliable Turkey? Seriously, what kind chess game is that?

Kazakh- Khazar? Is Kazakhstan sinking into the Islamic swamp? Khazars and Islam were not friendly to Russians. One hears talks about ‘Russian imperialism’, ‘pan-Turkism’. The switch to Latin alphabet and the attempt to impose the use of only Kazakh by officials (although mellowed) is not a portentous sign.

I agree with your assessment, Mike.
The many “Neville Chamberlains” within the Saker community who believe the contrived cruise missile strikes based on an agreement between the U.S. and Russia resulting in no casualties (that we don’t know about and may never know) was a “good” thing. I refer them all to an excerpt from Chamberlain’s speech in September, 1938 to wit:
“The path which leads to appeasement is long and bristles with obstacles. The question of Czechoslovakia is the latest and perhaps the most dangerous. Now that we have got past it, I feel that it may be possible to make further progress along the road to sanity.”
One year later, the Nazi’s invaded Poland. History has an irritating habit of repeating itself, doesn’t it?
Russia keeps the door open for more abuse of Syria sovereignty which has now become a defacto military weapons testing and training ground for the U.S. akin to the State of Nevada. The circuitous testing of weapons will not end in the Middle East until the western beast thinks its offensive systems are fully dialed in and then it’s on to the coast of Crimea where the real war will start unless Russia stops them cold, now.
Maybe it was actually a massive attack for destroying the syrian government and army; but they aborted after realising that most of the missiles were intercepted. It would be a stupid plan to show to the world weakness, as it happened; maybe they changed plans and narrative; a 3 nation military alliance, movements of NATO, only for destroying 3 buildings, without casualties?
Staged Attack
The neocons have done it again. This time however they did things a bit differently. Rather than send in troops, as they had done in Iraq, they flooded Syria with mysterious mercenaries. And, as had happened in Iraq, another unpredictable incident occurred… a somewhat obscure Russian on the battlefield stood his ground and, to the surprise of a global audience, bloodied the bully’s nose.
Wow. The world woke up and crowded the corner of righteousness. The neocons didn’t know what to do. Through lenses of monied ignorance, they doubled the number of checkers on the board only to realize that everyone else was playing chess.
And now this: ‘A Grande Finale’; a fireworks designed to cover the loss of yet another war. This beats anything that Hollywood can produce. Sit back and watch the show!
Usually when two sides arm themselves, they get around to using those arms sooner or later.
This latest strike could not be very satisfying to the home team.
Expect the Zionists to do better next time.
Joke going around:
Remember when US coalition unleashed 100 missiles on ISIS?
Neither do I….
It is a huge difference between chemical agents versus chemical weapons. It is almost impossible to create mass killing using chemical agents. Regarding Chlorine German used it once at WW1 but they had some effect using simultaneously hundred of 80CF cylinders loaded with chlorine, in a favorable wind. The cylinder displayed as evidence in Duma has a capacity of a couple of gallons, and cannot kill anybody unless they are locked up in a small container filled with chlorine gas from this cylinder. For Chlorine Concentrations of about 400 ppm and beyond are generally fatal over 30 minutes, and at 1,000 ppm and above, fatality ensues within only a few minutes.1000 ppm means 1 liter chlorine gas per one cubic meter volume of air. So it is almost impossible to kill people using gallon cylinders of chlorine in the open. Using chemical weapon of WW2 era, tabun, soman, sarin it is a different story. A lethal dose of sarin is about 0.5 milligrams; it is approximately 500 times more deadly than cyanide.
If Duma would be attacked with tabun, soman, sarin the fatalities would be by hundreds. We are not talking for VX, which is considered to be much more toxic by entry through the skin and somewhat more toxic by inhalation. It is possible that any visible VX liquid contact on the skin, unless washed off immediately, would be lethal.

Gilda Atzmon on veteranstoday.com has the best explanation. Notice that Trump always pushes more countries into the orbit of Russia with every threat he makes.
They are just folding grumpily to wait for a Ukraine opportunity when the world cup happens, though this time it’ll have to be plenty horrific – a few fake gas attacks seems to not be doing enough.
The missile strikes in Syria were limited in size, scope, and selection of targets. Mostly abandoned chemical weapons sites cleared by OPCW under UN mandate by August 2014.
Certainly these scaled back strikes were carefully orchestrated to prevent escalation with Russia, limit civilian casualties, and fulfill the reckless threats to save face, distract from the now evident false flags in Salisbury and Ghouta by the UK.
So many watching, so much at stake, required circumspect planning and coordination.
Article points are sound and logical.
“Was that it?” in this week’s context seems to be a reasonable question and proposition. I’ll offer thoughts.
As to the longer term answer to “Was that it?”
Since there are over 2000 US troops and probably several times that many military contractors stationed/operating in Syria now, the investment and protection of ISIS and rebels… probably this is the opening salvo of the next phase. A turn of strategy and tactics emboldened by the new hawks in the administration. Necessary because of the succesful intercession of Russia and Iran in bolstering the Syrian forces past the operational potential of a guerrila rebel insurgency. A grim chapter ending.
The next phase in my estimation.
A confrontation between Western forces and Syrian forces in Northern Syria.
5? US bases in Northern Syria and perhaps 10 US observation posts means that YPG Kurdish held territory will be in contention.
This site has great map resources on Syria.

Also a map here shows US bases and observation posts, discusses US regional interests:

Turkish forces are occupying a large region in northern Syria under the pretext of combatting Kurdish militias, securing a southward moving Turkish territorial border.
France also has a military presence in that area.
Israel has been increasingly targeting Iranian assets in Syria to further the greater Israel project, provide air cover for terrorist forces, and provoke Tehran into a wider conflict.
Historical perspective; it is evident where this conflict is leading.
With all these interests occupying territory and competing for control, it is assured that there are still conficts coming.
The Project for A New American Century neocon thinktank master plan, and also Gen Wesley Clarke, outlined the series of countries where the early 21st Century wars of aggression would occur. Wars to; secure territory, initiate unrest, destabilize and overthrow governments, balkanize nations, steal oil and mineral resources, exploit with IMF usary. Afganistan, Iraq, Libya are past, Syria is present, and Iran will be next.
The AngloZionists have been at this for over a century.
The neocons are back in power after turning out Trumps selections and installing their preferred agents, yes, concluding a year of partial reprieve.
Remember to follow the money and pipelines to the main source of all the other conflict and distraction.

Concluding…
There is hope that the convergence of the rise of the BRIC nations amidst the collapsing western economic paradigm will counter or curtail the neocon/deepstate master plan.
Perhaps it may alter the course.
Currently the West looks more desperate and reckless amidst hubris-filled exceptionalism.
Remember these leaders and their weapons are merely tools of global protocol. Hegemonies of divide and conquer, dialect of oppositions where chaos provides opportunity, war equals profit for an economic Leviathan.
The Redshield controlled BIS bankers, Trade and Wall St, who control all the thousands of national banks, currencies, governments, have influence, power, and control over the East and West. The oppositional dialectic of war has always protected them and enriched them.
Its not over, just changing.
On 22 April 1915,at at around 5pm, across a 6km front, troops released almost 6,000 metal canisters – 168 tones – of poisonous chlorine gas towards trenches held by French and Algerian forces near the Belgian city of Ypres.
The results were devastating. A noxious yellow cloud enveloped the allied positions, and within moments 5,000 soldiers were dead, with another 10,000 injured, as the gas ate into their unprotected lungs.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/politics/chemical-weapons-warfare-remembrance-day-poison-mustard-gas-first-world-war-ypres-isis-a7005416.html
Based on the fact, we can find that releasing 168 tones chlorine, with 6000 canisters, across 6000m front, means that they used one canister per meter (yard) width of the front with 168000kg Cl2 / 6000 = 28 kg Cl2 per canister, comparable with 80 cf (cubic ft) cylinder. This is the size of a big oxygen cylinder.
The conclusion is that, the chlorine cylinder used as evidence in Douma, is very small to create a deadly chlorine cloud in the open, even used by big numbers. That’s the reason there wasn’t any fatalities.
On the other hand N.A.T.O intentionally bombed 3 sites of “chemical weapons storage” with about 30 warheads of 200kg high explosive each. This would be more than enough to create a huge cloud of Tabun, Sarin, and Soman, capable to wipe out entire cities, with 10ns of thousand fatalities. In fact only 3 people were injured.
My question is: does N.A.T.O and Donald Trump has any Chemist adviser?
Intentionally bombing chemical weapons sites makes N.A.T.O accountable and responsible for releasing clouds of tons of Tabun, Sarin, and Soman in the air triggering a chemical weapon attack against Syrian civilians. The history would condemn them forever, and the humanity is convinced that, they do not care for the innocent people lives.
On the other hand if they new the sites were empty and still attacked with 110 missiles costing $100 million only the value of missiles, and as much as this the cost to deliver the missiles, in expense of the tax payers, this is more damaging for N.A.T.O and trump because this is a evidence that they do not care for their people either. The fact that Moscow still didn’t reply to Washington’s aggression when push came to shove, disappointed many, but I argue that they fail to see beyond the rhetoric offered by Washington. Moscow isn’t known for bloating and posturing like Washington and its vassals do, but the truth is that the outcome of Washington’s futile aggression is the result of a successful Russian-Iranian deterrence strategy along with pragmatic diplomacy >
While the statement sums up the missile attack incidents against Syria (twice during Trump era), two points need to be noted by all:
1) The Zionist Fascist Hegemon & its lapdogs will not consider Syria as a ‘closed chapter’ – they will continue to chip away regions from Syria using all possible means (forces aligned with Kurds, Turkey, Saudi, Jordan)
2) USA and NATO governments (whether directly/indirectly owned by Zionist Fascists or not) will continue to impose economic and social hardships on Russia and Iran to bring them to the point where they both start thinking of withdrawing their military presence from west Asia
As an optimist I wish both the above objectives fail, but in reality Russia and Iran will have to master strong determination, unparalleled courage, and huge military logistics to make the Zionists irrelevant in the west Asia and north Africa region.
China must come forward with all types of support and help – once the Hegemon can tame Russia, not only Chinese BRI initiative will be targeted, China will be smashed physically from all sides (as Zionists did in 19th century).
Straight-Bat
Trump is terrified of Cohen turning Pentito; May is terrified of local elections in May and her disastrous BreXit negotiations; Macron has major rail unions on strike and huge resistance building.
Then again Trump loves Micron and May feels unloved as France tries to usurp UK and bring Germany under French control in EU.
Saudi Arabia has bought some more politicians in London and Paris and Jewish-backed media is banging the drum. Netanyahu needs to go to jail but prefers to yank Trump’s chain and Sheldon Adelson is ready to order Trump to do Likud bidding.
Russia and China need more time to build up war materiel and deploy assets
Washington is a cornered rabid dog on steroids….. Once the pathetic nations under washingtons resolve realise they are being laughed at.
And Mays government may fall sooner than later for its lying re poisoning …….

Be aware, the media in Perfidious Albion is currently hyping the ‘threat’ that Russia will retaliate with a cyber attack. Since I have not seen Russia make this threat, I can only assume that the English are going to launch a false flag cyber attack soon.
Depth Charge
Thanks for that, social media is really hurting the brit establishment and their usual control of the news. This type of event would suit them two fold.
They’re fair panicking now the rats.
They are desperately scrambling for resources with the Treasury. Trouble is the Finance Minister was Defence Secretary and knows they are hyperventilating. He stated in Cabinet he was not sure the RAF could even reach targets in Syria. This whole charade is because UK Defence bought so many expensive toys. F-35s, aircraft carriers, Trident submarines, FRES, Boxer APCs – that there is no money for crewing them and the budget has a £20 billion Black Hole.
So all the retired generals hired by Bas and Lockheed have to scream for more money.
They all know where Gliwice is and its radio station
Excellent!
Imagine the Brits staging a false flag cyber attack back home
– which would be basically self-punishment.
All that without Putin even having to look at them sternly.
Putin’s control over the West would be complete.
Have you never noticed how many Islamist attacks there were during the election in 2017 and how few since ?
Have you seen how big the bombs were the IRA used in Manchester (2 tonnes) or London, yet none of these dangerous Islamists can do anything other than TATP off the Internet and always seem to be “known to the security services” ?
I find it interesting that Theresa May was Home Secretary and MI5 answered to her. I find it interesting that her Security Adviser Sedwill worked for her, after working for Jack Straw in the run up to the Iraq War; and spent time with McChrystal and Petraeus in Afghanistan, and inside NATO, and in the MI6/MI5 interface at the Home Office which jointly vets Asylum applications…………..
I think you are way behind the curve
Could we be so lucky that this was a repetition of the Cuba crisis where it initially was presented as if the USSR just backed down due to the determination of the US but where in reality a deal was made to remove US missiles from Turkey as part of the deal.
Mr Trump has often said that he wanted to pull out of Syria. If this should happen in the near future I think we know why.
Yes Jupiter missiles were removed from Turkey. You forget Honecker’s Berlin Wall which Adenauer wanted Kennedy to tear down. When he did not Khrushchev thought JFK weak even though he had campaigned in the election on the untruthful Missile Gap with USSR as a hardliner.
The intermediary over Cuba was Harold Macmillan, UK PM who had worked with Eisenhower in N Africa and was very astute – he mediated between DC and Moscow – nowadays there is no Genscher
An excellent article. Aram Mirzaei has reached the right conclusions. Washington, of course, knows that there was no gas attack in Syria, nor any military nerve gas attack in England. However, excuses were needed to prove that Washington is still No.1. in the world, politically and militarily. It needed to attack Syria.
Some readers made comments that Putin lost face in not defending Syria. The opposite is true. He played it brilliantly. Russian electronics certainly aided the Syrians. Russian controlled missiles were not used, as there was no need. Readers forget that in 2017 Trump attacked that Syrian Air Force base. The US Navy had to fire two volleys of Tomahawk missiles. All the missiles in the first volley were intercepted by the Russian Khirbiny electronic jamming system and driven away. The missiles in the second volley were not intercepted, as the Russians wanted to see the efficiency of the Tomahawks, which could not even hit the runways of that Syrian airfield. Yes, five old Syrian planes were destroyed, as they could not be moved, as they were being serviced. The Tomahawks struck a few hangers, the earth around the runways, as well as some villages, killing civilians. The US Navy ended up giving the Russians a free show on the “efficiency” of the Tomahawks.
When Trump struck Syria on Saturday, the Russians, bearing in mind what happened in 2017, did not need to intervene, leaving the job to the Syrians, who shot down 71 missiles with basically old Soviet missile systems. Not only did Russia gain politically, it gained militarily. What in effect the Russian military said was that US military high tech is basically obsolete, which must have been a humiliation to the Pentagon, on condition it understood the message.
What is interesting was the attitude of American NATO allies. Germany did not participate, which was no big surprise, as Russian and German industrialists have become great buddies once sanctions were introduced, doing great business. Not even Canada participated. As for France, the reports are conflicting, with the Russian military stating that it did not detect any French participation, which means that only the US and the UK participated.
This attack against Syria left a very poor impression in the eyes of the world. Not only did Trump end up looking like a robot, doing as told, but even Americas allies refused to participate, which is not a good sign for NATO, as it has shown divisions. The performance of US high tech was miserable, which no doubt will increase demand for Russian military products. Worst of all, from the psychological and political point of view, Washington has left the impression of having trouble accepting reality and not fully understanding the repercussions of it’s actions. An empire trying to stay an empire. It will not. All empires collapse, as they are too expensive to maintain and in the process create a huge number of enemies. What is hilarious in the case of the US is that a former colony, which ostensibly fought against colonialism, is demanding the right to create an empire of it’s own. I am afraid this cannot be accepted.
” … must have been a humiliation to the Pentagon, on condition it understood the message.”
Of course, it did!!! No doubt about this. The US military know where their fragility lies. They are aware that the US is fighting a stupid, useless war for hegemony as the economic system is failing and big changes are in the horizon. But, they obbey orders…

What really happened thursday and friday.
By Elijah J. Magnier – @ejmalrai
Donald Trump was climbed down from the tree he climbed up a few days ago when he gathered a large military force and firepower similar to “operation desert storm” (but without ground forces). “Plan A” consisted of a destructive attack on Syria to destroy its army, presidential palace, command and control bases, elite force, strategic military and ammunition warehouses, radar, defence systems and political leadership institutions.
Prior to the triple attack on Syria by the US – UK – France, intensive contacts were carried out by Russia and President Vladimir Putin himself – at around 04:00 am– to reduce the attack and go to a softer, less significant “Plan B”.
Russia, in its contact with several heads of state, rejected any hit that could cripple the Syrian Army and instructed the leadership in Damascus that the West would now think very carefully before radically changing the balance of power in the Levant.
But what is the real reason behind the US – UK – France’s attack? Is it the claim of the “chemical attack” on Duma? The Organisation for the prohibition of the chemical weapons is already in Damascus and its members visit Duma this Saturday to inspect the location where the claimed use of a chemical attack was alleged to have taken place. Why not wait for the results?…

Russia’s Humanity and Moral Conscience Are Leading to War
Dr. Paul Craig Roberts
It speaks to the humanity and moral greatness of the Russian government led by Vladimir Putin that Russia consented to a pretend attack in order that Donald Trump could save face. Unfortunately for us all, the consequences of Russia’s generosity will not be the thanks that the Russians deserve. Russia and Putin will get no credit for saving Trump from having to back down or have his naval flotilla sunk and his bombers shot down.
Russia is intent on avoiding a conflict, not because Russia is scared of the US military, but because Russia understands it is dealing with a government of psychopaths that are willing to destroy not only seven Muslim countries in whole or part within the past 17 years, but also the entirety of humanity. Therefore, Putin sidesteps each orchestrated confrontation and stands on international law and legal norms.
The result, however, is not what a humane person would expect. The result of Russian humaneness is to provoke more provocations from the evil that is the West.
This morning I visited a friend who had the TV on. I could not believe the lies that Trump, members of his government, and the presstitutes were telling Americans and the world. It was astonishing. Here is Stephen Lendman’s report on some of the lies. http://stephenlendman.org/2018/04/pentagon-lies-overnight-aggression-syria/
Only readers of my website and a few others will ever know that the only reason thousands of US sailors and dozens of US pilots are still alive is that Russia spared their lives.
Although the Russian government has every good intention, Russia’s moral conscience and consideration for others is leading the world to Armageddon. The reason is that the neoconservatives who control US foreign policy are not going to stop orchestrating events that they blame on Russia. The longer Russia waits before it finally puts its foot down, the stronger the provocations will become. The successive provocations will narrow down Russia’s response to surrender or nuclear war.
The Syrian provocation was an ideal one for Russia to put its foot down. Russia held the military cards. Russia could easily have destroyed every ship and every airplane. Having made the consequences clear in advance to the world, the US would have backed off. The defeat of America without a shot fired would have undermined the crazed neoconservatives who intend US world hegemony.
Under such a clear statement from Russia that the American force would be completely and utterly destroyed, the US Joint Chiefs of Staff would have prevented the attack.
As long as Russia accommodates Washington’s aggressiveness, the agressiveness will continue to increase.
At times I think that Russia is relying on the Western peoples to wake up to the gratuitous dangerous confrontations that are being provoked in their name. In fact, the Western peoples are helpless. Neither Washington nor the governments of Washington’s British and French vassals consulted the people or the people’s elected representatives about launching a military attack on another country. This fact shows conclusively that neither the US, UK, or France have any respect for law and their own alleged democracies and that the counries have governments that are unaccountable to the peoples. The British and French governments are accountable to Washington, and Washington is accountable to the military/security complex and Israel, which history shows can unseat any US Senator and Representative.
If the Russian government had watched today the US TV media, it would understand the futility of sidestepping Washington’s provocations. Not only would the Russian government observe the lies from Washington about the great success of a non-event, the Russian government would have observed that, on the one hand, there was proclamation of a great American victory, but, on the other hand, John Bolton’s allies among the neoconservaives, were saying that the attack was insufficient to bring Syria and Russia to heel.
The victory and its insuficiency combine to lead to worse provocations. The next provocation will be orchestrated in a situation more favorable to US than to Russian arms. Washington will not again risk a confrontation, as it did in Syria, where it clearly would have lost. What this means is that Russia’s humanity and moral conscience will result in a confrontation far more dangerous to Russia and to all of us.
As I wrote earlier today, “It would be a mistake to conclude that diplomacy has prevailed and common sense has returned to Washington. Nothing could be further from the truth. The issue is not resolved. War remains on the horizon.”
PCR is neocon in disguise. Always been.
His fearmongering is relentless, “Washington DC is crazy”
“they must be stopped”. “WW3 etc” all blah blah blah
just to scare the reader.
This is PCR’s twisted neocon logic in a nutshell:
Russia/China must attack the US (basically starting WW3)
in order to stop USA start WW3.
I would also like to remind people that PCR was Ronald “Mcdonald”
Reagan’s wingman, Reagan who also fearmongered/trolled the USSR
with statemetns like “bombing in 5 minutes” etc
Ronald Reagan – We Begin Bombing In 5 Minutes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgSSRE27GQ0
Folks, please realize fearmongering is a business. Fear captivates the reader/victim
who always comes back for more. While the site-owner collects donations or ‘clicks’.
Many are guilty of it. PCR certainly is.
Set yourselfs free.
p.s. if PCR is honest in his intentions, he wouldn’t be telling the Russian/Chinese leadership what to do, but he would organize a protest in front of the White House and ask all his readers to join in.
“The Syrian provocation was an ideal one for Russia to put its foot down. Russia held the military cards. Russia could easily have destroyed every ship and every airplane. Having made the consequences clear in advance to the world, the US would have backed off. The defeat of America without a shot fired would have undermined the crazed neoconservatives who intend US world hegemony.”
I fully agree with this statement. Russian harsh response would trigger a massive outcry of zombified masses in the US. It would finally wake them up and help them realise where are we heading. They just need a big slap across the face and they would finally return them to reality. US military would back off as a result.
But, since this has not happened, the rotten empire will keep pushing harder and harder. The only question is when is Russia going to respond.
It means: Moscow and Washington had to act as if they started a war, in order to make Israel happy?
I’m reading that now that the empire has proven its awesome power, they are going to force Russia Iran and Syria to the table.
Connoisseurs should prepare popcorn.
A very interesting article here…. I wonder if The Saker would offer an opinion?
http://freewestmedia.com/2018/04/11/skripal-affair-real-reason-is-capture-of-200-sas-soldiers-in-ghouta/
if there were 200 SAS deaths, the public would know.
No they wouldn’t. The SAS has ‘plausible deniability’ like the spook agencies in the US.
It works both ways — if you’re in a ‘no such agency’ and get killed, then you really weren’t there and didn’t …
Here is a video of Evgeniy Satanovskiy talking about it.
https://vimeo.com/263728681
lol Evgeniy Satanovskiy, the pro-israeli anti-irani ‘analyst’. I hope Putin doesn’t takes guys like Satanovskiy and Dugin seriously.
I doubt there are 200 SAS men. A squadron is 65 blades and there are only 600 men in 22 SAS the regular army units plus 2 reserve SAS regiments. It is highly unlikely MI6 would have access to so many SAS squadrons.
There might be Contractors or even other units but I really don’t see 200 SAS men being captured, not in their playbook. I think the numbers are wrong but I believe they captured some
Maybe in due course, their agency/corporate ranks, pay grades, and an org chart will be published on Wikileaks or something. I’m all in favor or doxxing these jerks, whoever they work for. They aren’t there to enhance the good of humanity.
If the Saker is correct, they should thank their lucky stars they were arrested by the Russians.
Strange ‘Chinese information’… What is the source of this ‘information’???
As “The Saker” has obviously trashed my comment describing the Russian inaction two nights ago as a betrayal, perhaps you’d be kind enough to email it back to me? (I presume that because you published a later one.)
If you would be so kind I can then instead publish it somewhere else because it took me a long time and a lot of angst to write – and I’d really really REALLY like someone to tell me I am wrong and why.
Thank you

My opinion is that all the analyzes I have read so far are very wrong.
USA & Co. they did not and would not give up on Syria. 103 cruising missiles were decoy for russian AD to test them in high level combat scenario. i think US & Co. are planing invasion on Syria. they intentionally violated all international standards and laws because the matter is very serious. they have to know what is expected of russians in the invasion of Syrija. I think that the Russians realized in time what americans are doing and they did not react and gave the necessary information to the Americans. Americans did not lie when they said the action was successful. they know that Syrians have no chemical weapons and that the chosen goals are irrelevant, but it is important how the attack has passed. US will now only adapt the war plans. Americans have now what they needed, the Syrians have done what they had to do, and the Russians have wisely avoided giving their true strength. Americans will get some results by interpolation that will most likely contribute to new attacks, regardless of the Russians. the situation is very bad and it seems to me that the Russians know. because of that they have sought a UN resolution. and US & Co. rejected. because they do not even intend to stop attacking Syrians.
US: Syrain Army gassed its own people
Syria: Do you have en evidence?
US: We don’t need an evidence!
Also US: We launched 120 missiles into 3 targets, Syria didn’t shot down a single one
Syria: But we downed most of them and we have evidence
US: We don’t need an evidence!

Forty years ago would the US, UK and France have launched missiles at Syria if Soviet troops were stationed there? The answer is obvious and shows how little Russia is respected compared to the Soviet Union.
Failure to protect one’s allies is a sign of weakness in international affairs. If you are not prepared to play hardball then stay out of the fray.
Claiming that the strike was a failure because no Russians or Iranians were killed is the worse kind of hypocrisy. Syria was attacked unjustly while its main ally, a member of the Security Council, stood by and did nothing. Syria and others would be justified in concluding that when push comes to shove Russia cannot be counted on unless their own personnel are at risk.
Unless major powers are prepared to protect their allies and ensure that they are not victims of attacks that are contrary to international law then smaller countries will pursue WMDs to protect themselves from aggression.
Soviet Union was not respected. USA was. The situation is now reversed.
Not one aircraft dared enter Syrian airspace. Israel fears to enter Syrian airspace.
There have to be very good reasons to fight a war of devastation – the UK destroyed itself fighting two without the means
USA might have been respected from 1941 to 1965 but Vietnam opened eyes of millions. Soviet Union marched little bit different: hated, despised and especially feared 1930-45. Then steadily not so much feared and hated but especially in 1980’s more and more ridiculed.
When thinking about Russia 1992-2006 were era of western arrogance. But when Russia got stronger and more dynamic the hype was over and old fear/hate and immense hysteria started (once again). None is ridiculing Russia now. Think about it.
So this all is very much based on deterrent: western mind just can’t think Russia rationally without needless emotion. Western elite is angry because Russia didn’t bow and submit.
Soviet Union was feared which is why it has only been after the U.S.S.R. started dissolving that the U.S. and allies/NATO started bombing up and destroying Iraq, Yugoslavia/Serbia, Afghanistan, and now Syria.
Some of the attacking aircraft flew from the US base in Al Tanf …unanswered aggression will beget more aggression…not peace. The Russians had threatened to not only defend against attacking missiles but to strike the launchers of those missiles…that did not happen. In fact, unlike the missile attack in April 2017 that was also triggered by a false flag operation, the Russian air defenses were not involved this time, so in a sense it was worse. Russia has done a lot to help Syria against the internationally sponsored takfiri terrorists, however, when the stakes were raised they folded.
So jumpy!. Maybe they considered that a strong military response was unnecessary because most missiles were intercepted, and those who hit, did mainly to a non vital target. You have to keep in mind that we are talking of a possible ww3 if Russia responded violently. So, just clam down, Russia did the right thing, it jammed missiles, guided the syrian SAMs and was a deterrence factor.
So much talk about Russian weakness, looks like the small talk when Donbass was in the middle of the war. Just keep calm, if Russia was jumpy, well, they may have invaded Ukraine long ago, or fighted the Turkish forces, of bombed Tal Anf, etc.
Remember this is a waiting game to get stronger and the foe weaker. USA just used their massive PR machines, but the most important is that this attack was way bigger than the 2017 one and showed a huge failure.
Few things to keep in mind, Russia was looted by the Jewish money changers almost to the bone between 1990 and 1998. What Putin’s team has done since then is absolutely miraculous. Despite of economic sanctions and massive sabotage of the CIA/MOSSAD/ and its own 5th column, the economy is doing well, and the military is in very good shape. With almost each passing day, Russia is getting stronger and stronger while the Anglo-Zionist cabal is fading away. Playing for time is all that needs to be done. No war, is a massive win.
In this latest episode, Russia did not back down, or even looked away. There was a very clear red line and the zio maniacs did not dare to cross it. Personally, I’m very impressed and grateful. All these screams that the bully had to be kicked in the teeth are simply childish. The globalist project has to fade away and die an invisible death – this would be the best case scenario.
In what way is Russia not protecting its ally? Russia has helped clear most of Syria of the bogus jihadist terrorists and in the process has suffered loss of lives and materiel.
Sure, missile strikes by the criminal instigators and sponsors of the Syrian insurgency are dramatic, grab our attention and make our blood boil, but they are only one dimension of the Syrian war. There are other dimensions to consider, in all of which Russia plays a big part: an advocate in the UNSC, international diplomacy, deconfliction zones, reconciliation talks, resumption of normal life (cessation of fighting, return of displaced persons, provision of supplies, demining, etc), negotiations among the warring parties in Astana in forming a new constitution aimed at preserving Syria’s territorial integrity, etc.
If we are still fixated on missiles, remember that RF announced that it has integrated its local air defences with Syria’s, meaning Russia’s radars in Syria can cue Syrian SAMs and I think the downing of 70+ US and UK missiles (France didn’t launch their missiles according to RF MoD) by the Syrian air defence units is the result of this integration. Russia’s protection of Syria is lasting: there’s a Chinese saying “Give a poor man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for life.” That’s what Russia did with Syria’s air defence. The improvement has been so dramatic than Assad has been quoted as saying that he doesn’t fear air attacks any more.
These are the ways RF protects its ally Syria. But if you’re still worried, here’s a piece of good news — Russian legislators are working to increase Russia’s protection of its ally Syria and very soon RF will begin supplying S300 systems to the country despite the protestations of the Settler Regime in Tel Aviv.
“Russia has helped clear most of Syria of the bogus jihadist terrorists and in the process has suffered loss of lives and materiel.”
No, Russia has not cleared most of the jihadists. They are in still in Syria in very, very large numbers. Most of the time they are simply relocated – bused – to another region. The Syrian army and the Russians are rather soft on them and quickly give them generous surrender deals when they are surrounded.
The numbers of rebels/terrorists actually killed aren’t large enough to end this war which has been going for over 7 years.
Well that’s true but that’s not what I meant by ‘clearance’. Syrian and RF haven’t sought to destroy every single terrorist and members of their family everywhere. They’ve opted for a strategy of negotiations and ceasefire before using assault as the final means of clearing areas where the terrorists operate, especially the main urban areas of Syria. To my mind this is a more efficient way of stopping the bloodshed compared to invariable use of violence which leads to more entrenched positions, greater resistance and consequently greater loss of life and destruction. Those who opt to are transported to a single province in the north of Syria. This is good strategy: the terrorists are delineated geographically, isolated from the rest of Syrian society and, since there are Kurds, Turks and terrorists of all stripes in the province, and all with different things that they want in life, there’s a more than good chance that there’ll be internecine conflict between them. All Syria and RF have to do then is watch these savages kill each other with the occasional bombing run to make sure they don’t stray out of the reservation and remain where they are. In fact, the situation isn’t all that rosy in Idlib at the moment — the French regime has already started making noises about a ‘humanitarian crisis’ in the province, as if there’s not a humanitarian crisis in the whole of Syria. Yes, it be much easier for Syria and RF to mop up when the dust finally settles in Idlib.
At a concert in Spain, former Pink Floyd musician Roger Waters denounces the “fake” White Helmets, who do propaganda for jihadist terrorists. Don’t bomb Syria. Thank you جوري الورد, April 2018

Having allowed the USA and its vassals to attack Syria, we have to hope the Russians did some kind of deal with Trump to allow Donetsk and Luhansk to reunite with the Russian sphere. This deal making was maybe the reason between Trumps’ annoucnement of missiles and the actual event.
Most Russians would say Donbas is more important than Syria. If allowing the Anglo to symbolically attack Assad was the price for the peace in Donbas. maybe it was worth it. If the Russians just let the USA bomb Syria for nothing in return, then the imperialists will think they have the upper hand.
To put it bluntly, I am not interested in what Westerners have to say/think. If Westerners think Putin is al bluster, let them gloat. What does interest me is what the Russians think and their more hawkish stance in discussions of late worries me far more. Russians should not adopt Americans rhetoric. Grandstanding like Westerners are not the answer.
Nothing to date could hurt Putin’s popularity, his so-called not acting being too soft in showing Americans could.
Russians, please, don’t let “exceptionalism” infect you!
Don’t make any mistakes: smart diplomacy is still 10 times more powerful weapon than any military spectacles with missiles or not. Washington lost the war in Syria because Syria, Russia, Iran, Hezzbollah and (China background) played smart together.
Two ideas on the margin:
Russia might consider expelling some number (a quarter?, a third?) of the UK and UK diplomatic staff, justifying it with their regimes’ fundamental violation of the UN charter. The French diplomatic staff could be left in peace, or have only a symbolic one staff expelled, and if anyone asked why so lenient on France, then it could be explained that the French regime behaved less illegally than the other two by avoiding causing any material damage to Syria by its the missile attack.
A troll, or several, under typical Syrian names, might publish sensational reports from the missile attack target sites confirming claims of the attackers of 100 per cent success, and denying all of Syria’s claims about any missiles having been shot down. Chicken soup for the imperial soul.
As long as Russia and Syria tolerate US Israeli occupation of one third of Syria then Syria is not in control of its own territory.US and Israel can use White phosphorus or any other chemical nuclear or biological weapon in their own territory. But Russia Iran and Syria agree not to use chemical or nuclear weapons to protect their own territory.
So the occupation and control of Russia Syria will continue. Russian oligarchs rushes to supply gas and food to NATO countries in return for fiat currency of the West..The industry of Russia is controlled by foreign currency and foreign central banks. Russia military can not decide whether it obeys the economy controlled by foreign capital or the Russian people. Russia will never use force outside Syria when it tolerates the occupation of its own allies. Yes the Western bankers and their pawn think they own you and therefore have no fear of your weapons. The debtor is a slave to the lender and Russia sold out its economy and politics when foreign currency bought its industry and people. Old Gorby made you the debtor slaves you are now and you will not put him on trial.
