A year ago, on December 6, 2017, the defeat of the terrorist group banned in Russia, Islamic State as an organized military force was completed. And this must be tirelessly reminded to our Western so-called “partners.”
In the “post-truth epoch” that has come, not only physical events, but also the constant presence of information about them in the information space.
This is clearly seen in the history of the Second World War. We know who made the main contribution to its main and bloodiest part – the Great Patriotic War, but in the West, history books present the defeat of the Third Reich solely as a result of the actions of the USA and Great Britain. And on top of it all is polished by talented Hollywood figures like [Quentin] Tarantino, making pseudo-historical films about how people with good American faces smashed the Wehrmacht, and the surviving Jewish girl burned Hitler in a French cinema [2009 film: Inglorious Basterds].
For the above reason, it is important that they do not use the same tricks with the fresh victories of our country, which occurred practically online, and which the whole world saw. For example – with the victory over the terrorists in Syria.
On the Internet there’s plenty of maps where it’s easy to follow how the scope of influence of the banned group, ISIL, changed before the Russian intervention and after when our Aerospace Forces began to iron out the militant positions. And Special Operations Forces deployed spotters for accurate bombing coordinates, as well as Spetsnaz groups who arranged unpleasant surprises for the terrorists. The whole world admired the courage of officer Alexander Prokhorenko, who called in an airstrike on himself [and ISIL terrorists] near Palmyra, and the world heard the words of the pilot Roman Filipov who pulled the grenade pin [in front of Al-Nusra terrorists] and said “this is for the guys!” And in Syria itself, the actions of our volunteers from various subunits became legendary, which the media call “PMCs of Wagner”, “Special Forces from the USSR” and other big names.
They write a lot of fables about the volunteers, especially zealous in this are the liberal journalists. However, the result of the actions of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the air and of our volunteers on the surface of the land is obvious: ISIL actually had only one single center of resistance in Syria. Moreover, on the territory controlled by the Americans [Hajin pocket], who determine their participation in the emergence of a terrorist quasi-state, is not a secret for a long time.
The liberals are actively pouring mud on our troops and our volunteers, they sometimes talk about cripples who return from the war, sometimes about the “useless weapons” that the Russians are fighting with, sometimes about the money that the volunteers allegedly get underpaid for participating in the war. But the Western military experts are acting much more responsible. They analyze the experience of using Russian irregular formations in the Syrian war.
Here’s, for example, is a fragment of a report by the professor of the School of Management, Diplomacy and Strategy at the Israeli Interdisciplinary Center of Herzliya, Dmitry Adamsky, which was published with the support of the French Ministry of Defense.
Clip plays
“Moscow delegated most ground operations to its allies (that is, the Syrian Army), while PMCs (are meant to be volunteers) acted as a force multiplier and, in some cases, provided decisive operational superiority.” https://colonelcassad.livejournal.com/4548193.html
Clip ends
Recently it became known that the odious director [Andrey] Zvyagintsev was going to make a film about the Great Patriotic War. Not a penny of budget money can be given to this liberal of course. It is better to give them to the director who will be able to realize the truthful scenario on the theme of the victory of Russian volunteers over the terrorists in Syria.
In this scenario, you won’t have to come up with anything. It’s enough to talk with the participants of the real events that took place, change the names of the heroes, give a dramatic story suitable for the movie format, and go ahead.
I think the film about how simple Russian guys went to save Syria from terrorists, and succeeded in this, would gain such a high amount at the box office that where will all of these year-round odd jobbers go, not to mention the anti-Soviets, liberals and mustached gentlemen?
If script writers and other creative people are subscribed to our channel, then maybe you would take up such a script, huh?
Compare the Donbass coverage for the whole first year, from Maidan until Minsk 2 froze the contact line. We had enormous video from Ruptly and RT reporters on the ground. We had independents like Graham Phillips and Patrick Lancaster who gave us videos. We knew the battalions, the leaders, the fighters, the names of the dead women and children. We could follow the flow of the ATO attacks and the counterattacks and deadly boilers that cauterized the Ukies.
It was extraordinary coverage of an extraordinary war.
Certainly, Syria is a treacherous war, hundreds of reporters and cameramen have been slaughtered by IEDs and artillery from ISIS, AQ and anti-Assad mercenaries, as well as “errant bombs” from the US Coalition-to-destroy-Syria.
Half the reports from Syria have been bogus. The other half are propaganda. The war is almost impossible to cover as it flows. Only when it goes static do we get some good information. And those are mostly maps of the current positions of forces.
The best coverage has come from the Russian MOD, at least the most reliable reports and SitReps.
I wonder if a good documentary is possible before the Russian Generals allow the production team to have access to the Russian military history they are compiling. It would be the basis for accuracy and dispassion.
Certainly, the news of the war was very tainted, so using Open Sources for writing the truth of the Russian war operations is useless.
Having a long history in film documentary production myself, I would recommend whoever does a non-fictional or fictional story based on the Syrian War get all sourcing straight from the Russian Military.
Hi Larch, you can check Anna News Videos on Youtube – they have the best footage edited into mini-movies very worth watching.
As a starter, you can watch the following to give you a taste :) I am not sure if all have Eng subtitles though.

Yes, a good source, but not quite in real time or daily reportage. ANNA also was excellent in Donbass.
I recall going to LiveLeak daily back in 2014, and videos were there for certain, daily.
Then, things changed.
What the world needs is a digital archive locus where the sources can be stored unmolested. Youtube is totally unreliable. Russia and China should build one and give it to the world (with funding to operate until it draws public support). Like a WikiLeaks, but a Library of Truth.
Just like we need an ethical Wikipedia, untampered by Liberal Cult ideological censors and propagandists.
Now with drones we should have more trustworthy (and safer for the reporters and cameramen) video of wars and violent events (Paris, Gaza, Golan, etc.).

Yes, lots of negative propaganda in the West on Syria. Some months back Trump had the audacity to state on TV that the US defeated ISIS, “killing” 70.000 of them. He appropriated Russian and Syrian military achievements and presented them as American. Shame on him. Even fake news CNN had the audacity to appropriate Russian military videos, showing ISIS being destroyed, and present them as videos of the US Air Force. Disgraceful.
“We Must Remind the West That Russia Defeated ISIS”
Better still, we must remind the West that they and their criminal allies are the greatest state sponsors of terrorism on the planet.
This includes the Mother of All Terrorist Attacks–Sept. 11th.
Far from fighting a War on Terrorism as they insist, the collective West–led by America–have been playing a sinister double game of arming, sponsoring, and funding terrorism … even as they claim to fight terrorism.

The AngloZionists (such as the vulgar lying lizards Obama & Trump) always present things (or themselves) to be the opposite of what they are. They are big liars, just like Nazi Goebbels.
It’s not only that they weren’t the ones who defeated the white supremacist SS (Third Reich), but as with the ‘Islamic’ supremacist ISIS, they were the ones behind it.
Gordie Duff has just written an amazingly good article about the Nazis: https://journal-neo.org/2018/12/09/why-is-intelligence-the-mother-of-all-stupidity/
Macron has armoured vehicles on the streets of Paris bearing the EU motif rather than the tricolor of France.
Macron et al are herding Europe into an abyss so that in the darkness they can be bound to the monster he is charged with giving birth too.
”For the above reason, it is important that they do not use the same tricks with the fresh victories of our country, which occurred practically online, and which the whole world saw. For example – with the victory over the terrorists in Syria.”
Ruslan, to Liberals/Zionazis, honour and decency are absolutely anathema. In other words, they will resort to every kind of conceivable lies, slanders, and hasbara they have in mind. For instance, as SouthFront reported just over three weeks ago:
https://southfront.org/syrian-war-report-nov-16-2018-u-s-exposes-assads-evil-plan-to-hurl-middle-east-into-chaos/
where the key message was
”On November 15, US Ambassador to Syria James Jeffrey exposed an evil plan of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to create ISIS and to hurl the Middle East, particularly Syria and Iraq, into chaos.”
is exactly the kind of braindead, self-worshipping vomit and excrement they will pass on to their ever gullible media consumers. For this not to happen is to assume that these ’friends of Humanity’ suddenly had a profound change of heart or that they are already defeated. In view of the fact that we are not quite there yet, our focus should be on the continued availability on-line of truthful accounts of history as well as news. Our enemies don’t need our advice, however well-intentioned and justified.
SyrPer editor Ziad Fadel reports on the imminent battle to liberate the last remaining part of NATZO-occupied Syria:
I can confirm to my readers that the Russian Defense Ministry sees no point in delaying the inevitable reconquest of Idlib Province and its restoration to the writ of the central government in Damascus. The Syrian military warned Russia about this conclusion months ago as preparations were being made to negotiate a solution in Socchi. As of now, over 150,000 Syria Army soldiers are preparing a three-pronged assault on Hay`at Tahreer Al-Shaam and its allies. Expect full coordination with the Russian Air Force.
I can also confirm that most of the areas to be bombed by the RuAF and the SAF have been conveniently depopulated in accordance with a plan to provide citizens with corridors enabling them to escape the clutches of the barbaric terrorists led by Abu Muhammad Al-Jawlaani.
“SyrPer editor Ziad Fadel reports on the imminent battle to liberate the last remaining part of NATZO-occupied Syria”
This is factually incorrect. Another US proxy force now occupies one third of Syria, i.e. the region NE of the Euphrates. Therefore Idlib cannot be the “last remaining” occupied zone.
We require a large-scale domestic opposition (in the US) to our nation’s illegal presence in Syria and our nation’s blatant support for terrorist groups in Syria. The crimes of the Pentagon and their CIA tools must be brought to light, and made known in a way that sparks protests very similar, but hopefully even larger than the French yellow vest protests.
Just look back to the Vietnam War and all the protests and mass movements against the war. It never stopped the war. The MSM turned against the war in 1968. The war continued, grew worse, more barbaric for years more.
What ended the war was the force of arms of General Giap’s strategy, tactics and logistics. The North destroyed the CIA-US Military strategies and moved south to crush the South Vietnamese military.
The Viet Cong had been weakened for years by the great losses during the Tet Offensive and the CIA’s extermination program, Phoenix, which supposedly ceased in late ’72 but continued until the last days in 1975.
Thus, the war continued, wore down the American anti-war movement, ignored public revulsion and MSM criticism, for eight years of war crimes by Nixon and Ford.
Only Vietnamese triumph on the battlefield at the cost of millions of lives of the citizens of the nation America choose to destroy ended the barbarity.
The Hegemon’s war machine respects only battlefield realities.
Syria will have to fight for every inch of land it wants back inside its sovereign borders.
The Russian military, Hezbollah, and Syrian people will have to teach the US generals and officials in the Hegemon’s Deep State the lesson taught by General Giap. It’s remedial disaster time for the USA.
After Idlib, it looks like al Tanf will be confronted. Then al Kamal in the far southeast corner of the Iraq border. Then Deir ez Zor. Then the rest of the rump state the US is desperate to establish for the Kurds.
We are going to witness Syria 2.0. It will be bloody and will pose Russian forces against US forces if the US forgets its history in SE Asia.
It’s the only way the Hegemon leaves. In body bags by the hundreds, sent to Dover in caskets. Exceptional.
QED.
Agree. It has been said for many years. You cant please a psychopath, only neutralise him/her, one way or another.
But too many people hope or wait and see, fearing the confrontation.
As a Vietnamese mother said in an interview: “The Americans were merciless, the only thing we could do were picking up a kitchen knife and drive them out m2 per m2 until the last American were pushed out of the country”.
America is a war criminal empire.
Bloodlust and genocide against the world are what America truly stands for.
That is part of the cultural and political DNA of America since the first Euro-American colonizers invaded this land and stole it from the Native Indians–land which the Americans still occupy to this day.
Now, America seeks to colonize the entire world behind its lies about “fighting terrorism,” Weapons of Mass Destruction, or the greatest of America’s deception–so-called freedom and democracy.
The Americans cannot be reasoned with, nor can be they appeased.
The America Menace must be ended. Permanently.
ISIS was a US proxy force therefore Russia helped defeat the US. Unfortunately another such proxy force, the so-called SDF, now occupies one third of Syria which means we have de-facto partition in that country.
If the war is now over then the goal was partition. Which means Syria lost. Those “New Middle East” maps planning the partitioning of Syria and those Oded Yinon plans to “balkanize Syria all seem quite prophetic now.
If you think the war is won then we lost.
Yes, America’s beloved stooges, the SDF (Syrian Dismemberment Forces), must be destroyed.
The American, Israeli, Saudi, and European plot is to dismember Syria in everything but name.
This de facto balkanization of Syria is a sick and deranged gambit to turn Syria into another Libya, a Western-styled failed state, riven through by ethnic and sectarian conflict.
Those American military maps pushing for a “New Middle East” are like the bastard spawn of the Oded Yinon Plan and the Sykes-Picot Agreement.
I like Ruslan’s contributions very much, but he speaks way too fast considering that there are also visuals and subtitles which rapidly vanish before the eye and are replaced by new ones as his ‘rants’ go further. Obviously he speaks so fast because the guy who scrolls his text is scrolling way too fast.
Elten,
On Youtube, lower right menu, click the Sprocket Wheel (Settings), change the speed from Normal to .75, or .5 and the video will play slower. His voice will drag along but you can read the subtitles easier. .75 is acceptable distortion since you don’t know the language anyway.
Hope this helps.
Larch, thanks, but for me it is the combination of too fast language and hence rapidly moving sub-titles, so rapid that there is no time to also see the visuals. It’s just communication ‘overkill’. That can easily be solved by not speaking so fast. Considering that Ruslan presents his argument in an ironic, sometimes sarcastic style, his language is important, not something to set on .50 slowdown but something to enjoy, appreciate and learn something from.

Some parts of interest:
“On November 30, following almost two-and-a-half months of silence, the Israeli air force bombed Syria with three waves of cruise missiles. The first and second waves were repulsed over southern Syria, and the third, composed of surface-to-surface missiles, were also downed. At the same time, a loud explosion was heard in al-Kiswah, resulting in the blackout of Israeli positions in the area.
The Israeli attack was fully repulsed, with possibly two IDF drones being downed as well. This effectiveness of Syria’s air defenses corresponds with Russia’s integration of Syria’s air defenses with its own systems, manifestly improving the Syrians’ kill ratios even without employing the new S-300 systems delivered to Damascus, let alone Russia’s own S-400s. The Pantsirs and S-200s are enough for the moment, confirming my hypothesis more than two months ago that the modernized S-300 in the hands of the Syrian army is a potentially lethal weapon even for the F-35, forbidding the Israelis from employing their F-35s.
With the failed Israeli attack testifying to effectiveness of Russian air-defense measures recently deployed to the country, even the United States is finding it difficult to operate in the country. As the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War confirms:
“Russia has finished an advanced anti-access/area denial (A2AD) network in Syria that combines its own air defense and electronic warfare systems with modernized equipment. Russia can use these capabilities to mount the long-term strategic challenge of the US and NATO in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East, significantly widen the geographic reach of Russia’s air defense network. Russia stands to gain a long-term strategic advantage over NATO through its new capabilities in Syria. The US and NATO must now account for the risk of a dangerous escalation in the Middle East amidst any confrontation with Russia in Eastern Europe.”
In Syria, with the conflict coming to a close and Turkey only able to look on even as it maintains a strong foothold in Idlib, Saudi Arabia, Israel and the United States are similarly unable to affect the course of the conflict. The latest Israeli aggression proved to be a humiliation for Tel Aviv and may have signalled a clear, possibly definitive warning from Moscow, Tehran and Damascus to all the forces in the region. The message seems to be that there is no longer any possibility of changing the course of the conflict in Syria, and every provocation from here on will be decisively slapped down. Idlib is going to be liberated and America’s illegal presence in the north of Syria will have to be dealt with at the right time.”
“In Syria, with the conflict coming to a close…”
What on earth on you talking about? One third of Syria is occupied by US proxy forces. Am I looking at the wrong set of maps? Could someone please send me the latest map of Syria that shows Idlib as the only occupied zone? The one I’m looking at is all Zionist colours NE of the Euphrates. Perhaps that portion was freed only a few seconds ago and I need a copy of your more up-to-date maps ;P
There are reckoned to be CIA ,18000 Ugyur Chinese Muslim forces holed up in a single village in Idlib.
These are earmarked to be returned to Chinas’ Zinjiang Province to continue war there and interfere with the New Silk Road.
@Flopot
SDF are partially residents of these areas. more or less. and they are Syrians for now. Syria can not treat them as enemies until they declare their statelet, and then that would be another story. if Syria view them now as enemies and start war against them that would be de facto and the jure Civil war which give legal right to any state in the world (read Anglos& zionist goyim) to freely and legaly help military, even declare military alliance with kurds. if the Kurds do not proclaim their state then they have nothing what they expected in their wet dreams. if they do, then they will meet the war with Syrian state and the boundaries will be drawn by blood.
The US is helping the Kurds setup an alternative administration to Damascus. The Kurdish forces are known to have ethnically cleansed inhabitants from NE Syria (Kurds originally occupied only certain parts). The Kurdish forces worked with ISIS to occupy NE Syria to prevent the SAA advancing across the Euphrates. In fact there is no difference between the SDF and other US proxy forces, i.e. the SDF never fought ISIS. It is wrong to claim that the SDF took part in any victory — that is Western propaganda, which RT sometimes indulges in aswell.
Alright, let’s look at this as a case study of why Russia can’t get the upper hand in the information war.
Take the term ISIS. Does Ostashko realize that around 50% of the population in the West believes it is racist to say anything bad about anyone living in the middle east? This already means he could be blowing hot air half the time.
A large portion, moreover, is actually racist. They want you to say less human Arabs were defeated. Muslims were defeated. “Muslims are less human.” That’s what they want to hear. Obviously, this sort of line isn’t an option.
Now, about 9 out of 10 people won’t believe Russia did anything good, ever. Maybe 3 out of 10 would believe it if it was repeated for weeks on mainstream news outlets, but that would never happen.
My summary is rough but accurate. Ostashko is suggesting everyone waste time. Russia’s best bet is to find a way to say Russia defeated Anglo-American terrorist armies. “We killed a terrorist fed and housed in Toronto. He had been trained in British military programs to behead living things in Syria.” Stuff like that. This way, internal groups that need ammunition to criticize their managers have it. To the libtard politician “worried about” “Syrian refugees”: “You say you support known beheaders . . .” and so on.
I’m seeing this problem over and over – The Russians assume ISIS matters to people, sort of like assuming Game of Thrones matters. No one cares about them though. We don’t care about “KFC” or “UFC” either. You’re given these American idols to worship. But you don’t realize the idols in America are too many to count. You’re really off the mark when you assume one or another is special. Game of thrones is meaningless. KFC is Kentucky Fried Chicken and it’s meaningless. Isis is last year’s nightmare, yesterday’s news. It was special for a couple weeks in 2014 to the 20% of the population they can always get to be afraid of stuff. A descriptive term is needed that may capture the attention of certain capable players, but not of the people always afraid of something/never capable of anything. There are no shortcuts.
Agree, ISIS is just yesterdays news. A separate detail in the Syrian war picture. We just create a new and more exiting threat like the new Kurdish fight for independency and “freedom” or another US defined reality.
No one in West will ever discover Russia made a victory in Syria……………..…………….LOL.
