by Nikola Vrzic
Several days ago, on March 12th, Serbia marked another – twelfth – anniversary of the assassination of Serbia’s prime minister Zoran Djindjic. The official narrative of Djindjic, as a reformer who was killed by criminals and Serbian nationalists, this year was confronted with evidence revealing the story as much more complex, with a strong presence of Western, primarily British and US secret services…
The official version of Djindjic’s death, established on a day of his assassination in 2003 and later confirmed by the court, says that Djindjic, pro-Western reformer, “the quisling of Belgrade” as Neil Clark called him in The Guardian on March 14 2003, was killed by members of (Belgrade suburb) Zemun criminal clan and “red berets”, Serbian secret police unit for special operations which had fought in wars in Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo. Criminals, the story goes, wanted Djindjic dead as they wanted to avoid their imminent arrest, while the “red berets”, allegedly supported by nationalistic circles in Serbian society (in the army, in political parties, Serbian orthodox church…), wanted Djindjic dead for his cooperation with The Hague Tribunal and, broadly speaking, betraying Serbian national interests by collaborating with the West.
Djindjic was killed as his motorcade came to the building of Serbian government. According to the official version, he got out of his car, walked (on crutches, he previously injured his left leg playing football) to the door which was closed, turned against the door in an attempt to open it himself by pushing it with his back, and at that point he was shot with a single bullet (which was never recovered). After Djindjic was shot, there was a second shot which injured Djindjic’s bodyguard Milan Veruovic and, piercing his body, ended in a stone wall next to the door where Djindjic was shot.
That is the official version.
This is where our investigation started.
In a recently published book “The Third Bullet. The Political Background of the Assassination of Zoran Djindjic” by Milan Veruovic, Djindjic’s wounded bodyguard, and the author of this article, journalist Nikola Vrzic, the official version of Serbian PM’s assassination is scrutinized through comprehensive analysis of all the evidence presented to the court, testimonies, police documents…, and, as a result, the book refuted the official version of Djindjic’s assassination both in terms of what really happened on March 12 2003, as well as regarding the political motives that led to his death. In short, conspiracy seems to be much, much wider, going beyond Serbia’s borders.
Both witnesses’ testimonies and material evidence show there were three, not just two bullets fired on that day, which means – to make a longer story short – there was another sniper; again, both witnesses and all the material evidence prove that Djindjic was shot by that other sniper, as he did not turn his back to the government building trying to open the door himself (with nine bodyguards around him) – the door, in fact, was open – but he was shot facing the government building, meaning, from exactly the opposite direction than officially acknowledged; Djindjic’s entry wound (33×20 mm), consistent with damages on his clothes, is significantly larger than Veruovic’s entry wound (6×7 mm), which also proves that they were shot from two different rifles of different calibers, with Veruovic’s wound being consistent with the caliber (diameter of a bullet) 7,62 mm of the only rifle that was, officially, used on March 12 2003; as far as that rifle is concerned, the comparison of Serbian police’s documentation with the documentation of German police (which examined the rifle afterwards) show strong indications that different rifle was planted instead of the one originally found; in a days after Djindjic was shot, a man from Croatia, with criminal contacts, was identified as possibly being one of the assassins, however, Serbian police did not even present his photograph to the witnesses and did not follow up on this lead, but, instead, directed the public attention to an innocent Belgrade man in order to divert the attention from the Croatian trail; furthermore, the police concealed the automobile used by the Croatian man, and this automobile – black “Volvo” 240 – belonged to one of Serbian security services…
To cut a long story short, the official version proved to be the official lie about Djindjic’s assassination.
Which leads to the crucial question – who is guilty for this lie? One answer is obvious: police who investigated the crime, prosecutors and judges who confirmed the false official version, despite all the evidence and testimonies suggesting the opposite. Above them, Djindjic’s successors in his party and Serbian government, who had provided strong political support for the false official version, actively participating in establishing this, i.e. their version of Djindjic’s assassination.
These successors of Zoran Djindjic, it should be noted, are among the most pro-Western political forces in Serbia.
And this brings us to the, possibly, crucial aspect of the story. West’s involvement in the events preceding Djindjic’s assassination, as well as after it, in the establishment of the false official version, is profound.
Based on public documents, Serbian police and secret service documents, court testimonies, US diplomatic cables revealed by the WikiLeaks, we can be certain that:
– CIA’s agents in Hungary helped in arranging the protection of the crucial “protected witness” Ljubisa Buha Cume, former boss of Zemun criminal clan, who started the chain of events that led to Djindjic’s murder. British intelligence service also played its part in protecting this man, by arranging his transfer from Turkey to Slovakia when Zemun clan’s hitmen were after Buha.
– CIA had its agent inside the Zemun clan, Cedomir Mihajlovic (alias Igor Baruh). British service, according to court testimonies, also had the clan under the surveillance, and even had the information they were about to assassinate Djindjic – this according to Vladimir Popovic, former Djindjic’s associate with whom Djindjic parted in the fall of 2002.
– This man, Vladimir Popovic, who came to the government building exactly 5 minutes after Djindjic’s assassination and who can be regarded as the creator of the official version, was accused by former Serbian secret police chief Jovica Stanisic for being recruited by the British intelligence. Stanisic said this in the statement to the Serbian police when he was arrested. Popovic himself, in his court testimony, spoke about his contacts with British intelligence.
– UBPOK, Serbian police unit that conducted the investigation, was created shortly beforehand under the British auspice.
– Anthony Monckton, who was revealed as the MI6 agent in Serbia, also participated in the investigation, according to The Sunday Times and The Guardian.
– Special prosecutor Jovan Prijic, the author of the indictment based on the false official version, enjoyed political protection from then US ambassador in Belgrade Michael Polt, EU high representative Javier Solana and other Western diplomats, which was revealed when the government of Vojislav Kostunica tried to remove Prijic from the office. Eventually he was removed, however, on a condition to remain leading prosecutor in Djindjic’s case.
– US diplomatic cables, revealed by WikiLeaks, showed that US embassy in Belgrade, supervising the trial, was in constant contact with the presiding judge in Djindjic case, even consulting with him about who will, among Zemun clan members, become a protected witness, i.e. collaborator of the prosecution.
– Finally, German intelligence, during Djindjic’s lifetime, conducted a security check of his places of work and residence, which could mean that they knew exactly from which locations his life could be threatened. Their report was never presented to the Serbian authorities. Germans also officially participated in the investigation of Djindjic’s assassination.
And then, there is also Djindjic’s policy. Even though he was brought to power in Serbia with Western help, by the beginning of 2003, from being part of the solution when he was removing Slobodan Milosevic, he became part of the problem, endangering pax Americana in the Balkans by demanding Kosovo to remain part of Serbia and to immediately start negotiations on Kosovo’s final status, which was strongly opposed by both the US and the EU. He demanded Serbian police to return to Kosovo, according to the UN Security Council’s Resolution 1244. He threatened with the independence of Serbian republic in Bosnia in the case of Kosovo’s independence sponsored by Western powers. He refused to hand over the archives of Serbian police and army to The Hague Tribunal, refusing also to extradite Serbian generals which were about to be indicted by the Tribunal.
Before he was killed, Zoran Djindjic had been labeled as a “new Slobodan Milosevic” for his confronting the West.
After his death, this Djindjic’s policy of confronting the West was completely overturned by his successors, who made every attempt to make the public forget about Djindjic’s clash with the West prior to his assassination. Furthermore, Western engineering of Serbian political scene accelerated in the years following Djindjic’s death, eventually resulting in total consensus in Serbia’s parliament on country’s EU integrations.
Last, but not the least, after Djindjic’s death every party in Serbia held the power at some point. During this turmoil, everything could change but two things: Serbia continued to approach NATO – this also started after Djindjic’s assassination – and nobody dared to publicly question the official version of the murder of Zoran Djindjic. There must be a strong reason for this.

Christof Lehmann (nsnbc) : Evidence about the presence of U.S. special forces in the Syrian town Ayn al-Arab a.k.a. Kobani emerged. Troops are guiding U.S. airstrikes as part of U.S support for the Kurdish separatist group PYD and the long-established plan to establish a Kurdish corridor.
A photo taken in Ayn al-Arab shows three U.S. soldiers. One of them “Peter” is carrying a Bushnell laser rangefinder, an instrument designed to mark targets for U.S. jets, reports Ceyhun Bozkurt for Aydinlik Daily
Well, you are a little off topic, but Lehmann’s research is always worth reading so I went to look for the link: US Special Forces caught red-handed in Syria. His conclusion:
While I was at nsnbc, I saw this story on Venezuela that many may also be interested in. As in the Syria story, Lehmann cites the 2012 “instruction manual” for having the preparations in place to launch coups at the drop of a sniper bullet around the world – “TC 18-01 Special Forces Unconventional Warfare”. This allows us to follow Venezuelan events as they happen, and predict certain moves in advance, simply by following the playbook. Story here: Crisis in Venezuela follows US Special Forces Strategy
Getting back to the Serbian story here, I found it spellbinding – very well written, and seemingly with the fingerprints of western covert forces all over it. I look forward to the discussion here.
@ The Saker,
Thank you and as to your article, I would not be surprised. Nothing surprises me from the
“crazies in the basement”.
I’ve read that Milorad “Legija” Ulemek was the main assassin.
When younger he was friends with Kristijan Golubović and together the two committed their first “big” robbery. Ulemek was given the nickname “Cema” from “cement”.
After a botched robbery in 1985, Ulemek fled to France and he joined the French Foreign Legion where he stayed for 6 years in the 2 REP, serving in Chad, French Guyana and Yugoslavia. His nom de guerre was “Legion” (Legija) because of his military career in the Legion.
During his service and as sergeant, he did a tour in Yugoslavia as translator for the French Army. On his return, he did not come back from his leave and was considered as a deserter from the French Foreign Legion and went back into Yugoslavia when the Wars erupted in 1992. He joined the Serb Volunteer Guard under the control of Serbian Warlord Arkan. Ulemek became one of Arkan’s *closest friends* and a commander of the unit.
One of the most controversial moments of the trial was Ulemek’s surrender in May 2004, after he claimed that he had been hiding in his house for nearly 14 months.
WTF??!? and no authorities looked for him there?
Twelve men were convicted for assassination of Prime Minister Djindjic. Among the convicted defendants was Ulemek, who, during the four years preceding the murder of Zoran Djindjic, had travelled to Switzerland, Austria, the Republic of Macedonia, Greece, Singapore and Croatia ( living La Vida Loca) using a fraudulent passport that had been one of a batch of blank passports “stolen” from the Croatian Consulate in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He was sentenced to 120 years in prison for his crimes.
One of the 14 books he wrote in prison was “Legionnaire”. In it he speaks badly of the deserters while he, himself was a deserter.
Who is to say he was not freely given this so called “stolen” passport by the US and UK?
Ulemek “could not be found” by the authorities and he was in his house hiding for 14 months?
IMO…It is quite possible he was paid for the assassination by the Western powers that Prime Minister Djindjic was against, as well as given the passport, the “invisible” status for 14 months and finally they did what they always do to their useful ( lucky) idiots—-stabbed him in the back and had him imprisoned for 120 years, instead of killing him as they usually do.
This Ulemek wrote books in prison that are allegedly not easy to find in Serbia anymore. There is a group that wants them to be available. They made a video and ends it with a Star of David and the Christian Cross inside it. I do not understand the meaning of those two symbols together that way NOR do I like it.
Here is the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpZnCK2ipWo
Strangely enough the video attributes the book “The Boys from Brazil” to Ulemek. As far as I know Jew Iran Levin wrote that book that was made into a movie.
“The Boys from Brazil” is a thriller novel about Holocaust, the “waning” of Western nations in tracking down Nazi criminals, etc etc. Same old, same old. The point is why are people that are so passionate about Ulemek’s books attributing that Levin book to Ulemek.
Two different books with same titles? Not likely with *that* title. Just an anomaly?
“We can tell the citizens we will fight for their rights and we can say that this is going to be the first government that will not be dealing with itself but with the interests of the citizens”.
—-Serbia’s Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic
Another example of the ZPC/NWO “full spectrum dominance”/”with us or against us” mentality. If a quisling fails once to back their zionazism/fascism, they simply murder them. Very Jewish mafia, very fascist/rightwing.
Djindjic was deeply involved in criminal activities in 90’s in Serbia. He had connections with mafia groups in Belgrade, more and more info is surfacing about it. Murders, blackmailing, etc…
At the end it cost him his life, conflict of interest among criminals. People accused of killing him are victims of dirty games as many other current politicians were involved in it as well. One of main scumbags is Milo Djukanovic prime minister of Montenegro or Don Milo as they call him. Another american puppet who is allowed to continue with his criminal activities as long as he is promoting anti-Russian stand.
On a different note, I believe that current regime in Serbia which is anti-Russian and pro US is facing growing opposition among ordinary people of Serbia. Protest in Serbia starts from today.
Nikolic just declared that he’s going to Moscow for the victory parade DEFYING the EU, who’s representative “advised” him not to go!
So, there’s that.
2 faced snake with fake diploma. What an embarrassment for Serbia he is. All nice and friendly with Putin when he needs money or other favor, than next day different person supporting decision to appoint scumbag Blair as adviser to government etc.
From nationalist to western puppet. How can person like him be trustworthy.
You just described EVERY single Balkan politician.
Still, going to the parade at this time needs at least some amount of backbone.
March 25-26, Washington DC, U.S.-Russia Forum: Advancing a Constructive Agenda for U.S.-Russian Relations/a>
It’s true that Djindjic wanted the UNSC resolution on Kosovo to be implemented in full, which would mean that the Serb Police forces needed to enter back into Kosovo as the ONLY legal Police force.
This very well might’ve cost him his life.
And the theory does make sense, since NOW Kosovo is in fact “independent”, and even Serbia de-facto recognized its “independence”, while slowly, the Serb minority is ethnically cleansed, and all the (most beautiful) Orthodox Churches in Serbia(Kosovo) are destroyed, along with any and all Serbian cultural footprint there. Keep in mind that Kosovo is the heart of Serbia, so without the heart (at least in someone’s mind) the body cannot exist for a long time.
BUT!
What must be said is that people like Zoran Djindjic are the “useful idiots” of the west.
They’re bought with catchy phrases like “Democratic development”, “Fight against corruption”, and above all “Freedom”, when in fact what’s in line is merely being a puppet state to Ziocrazed America and the “wonderful” opportunity to dance to its tune (or ELSE!). These people dream of a better future, which is commendable, but they lack the wisdom (or perhaps the intelligence?) to see behind the facade of “freedom and democracy”. That’s because they’re only too happy with the glitz of being welcomed to the European and American capitals (themselves built on the raping and pillaging of the colonies) at the cost of their own national and traditional values. I know that Gjingjic declared himself an Orthodox Christian, but I think he should’ve remembered that he should be wise as serpent, and harmless as a dove. Which he obviously wasn’t.
Let me share another story:
I hail from Macedonia. We had one of “our” own Presidents die in a mysterious plane-crash, while traveling to a conference in Bosnia (the Bosnian skies are administered by NATO forces). There was a local (Bosnian) inquiry into the said crash, which was obviously a sham. Later, a brave man from Switzerland, and a member of the European Parliament had an investigation of his own (meant to be supported by the EU). The man said: “I’ve created some VERY powerful enemies whilst investigating this, and I’ve since been threatened with my life, and that of my family. I can continue with this investigation no longer. But I’ll say this: If you’re ever willing to find the culprits – LOOK WEST”!!!
Funny enough – we ended up recognizing Kosovo’s independence…
In the Balkans people are as naive, as politicians are corrupt. You give them a Hollywood production of an inquiry – and they’ll believe it. That’s why “Divide et Impera” works so well with the people here, and buying-off the elites by the likes of George Soros goes so smoothly.
Think about this – you have people who share culture (same or similar), have entered mixed marriages, can more or less understand each others language – sitting on the opposite side of the fence. Case in point: Bulgaria is at this very moment having military drills with the US in the Black Sea against the perceived threat of RUSSIA!!!
I’m still amazed, no strike that GOBSMACKED that our (Macedonian) President defined Washington/Brussels and is going to Moscow for the Victory Parade, come May. I still don’t believe that he’ll go in the end, though I’ll be VERY* proud if he does. This lot ALWAYS do what Washington/Brussels tells them to. Why they’ve just now decided to go against their masters is still a mystery to me…and I have my own theories/hopes about that :)
That should be “Our President defied”, not “defined”…sorry for the typo.
Well Macedonia has also torn down Serbian churches in Macedonia, imprisoned Serbian priests, assaulted nuns, etc., while Albanians who have bombed and stolen from Macedonian churches are treated with extra privileges.
Macedonia also heavily served the NATO bombing campaign against Serbia – planes were taking off and landing in Macedonia, Macedonians were serving NATO personnel, etc. The resistance and protests was mainly the ethnic Serb population in the north.
And it “recognized” Kosovo with not much delay nor opposition.
At least Serbia has had a past of putting up resistance despite terrifically huge consequences and suffering. The other countries give in without even a half-serious threat of ever being bombed.
Thanks for that reply.
A question: When did Macedonia torn down Serbian churches in Macedonia, imprisoned Serbian priests, assaulted nuns, etc…? I’d be VERY interested to know.
On your second point, during the attack on Serbia, the American Embassy in Macedonia was torched, and the Ambassador and the staff evacuated. This was the people and their outrage. The government did in fact help NATO.
And…thanks for proving my points that the “divide et impera” can be played very well with the people here in the Balkans.
Anon, sorry to call you a liar openly, but Macedonians and Serbs share the same church – both are orthodox christians.
I certainly never heard of Macedonians tearing down their very own churches…
What he probably meant was churches in Macedonia were torn down. He was wrong about the culprits though, it was KLA goons entering. Clearly stricter border control is needed.
You are a smart man. Period.
One minor suggestion to the MODS:
You guys should be quicker in approving the comments, so that we can have a proper discussion.
Perhaps it’s better to post them, and erase anything offensive/obscene afterwards?
As I said: Just a suggestion. You guys are doing a great job all in all.
Keep it up! Very grateful for your work!
@ K,
Q; You guys should be quicker in approving the comments,
R: My grandmother used to say, “When you’ve got ores, don’t step into a speedboat…”
Mine used to say: “Скока како прле пред магаре…”, which ruffly translated would mean: “If a question isn’t posed to you – no need to rush to answer it”.
She was a wise woman that way.
Sorry, she said “Do not junk like …. in front of the donkey”
There are not very many of us and we do have to work, sleep and eat. Generally we approve within 15 minutes, but sometimes there is nobody available for a few hours. On the old blog, Saker did it all himself, so there were no approvals for 8 or 9 hours, sometimes. We try to do our best.
Thanks. As I said merely a suggestion/observation.
I do think you’re doing a great job.
Study on Russian economy. Diversfication, Modernization and the Role of the State in Russia’s economy
Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence. – But don’t rule out malice, for to that extent is the analysis intellectually feeble.
Awara Group releases study on Russian economy: Putin 2000 – 2014, Midterm Interim Results: Diversification, Modernization and the Role of the State in Russia’s Economy – A Wittgensteinian Look at the Russian Economy
A study released today by Awara Group, a Russia-based consulting firm, shows that Russia’s economy is not as dependent on oil and gas as is commonly claimed. It researches the development of key indicators of the economy from 2000 to 2013. The crisis-torn economy battered by years of robber capitalism and anarchy of the 1990’s, which Putin inherited in 2000, has now reached sufficient maturity to justify a belief that Russia can make the industrial breakthrough that the President has announced.
Oil & gas revenue does not make up 50% of Russia’s budget revenue as is commonly claimed, but only 4%. It is not even the biggest source of state revenue, which position is held by payroll taxes at 28.8%.
The study reveals a range of impressive indicators on the development of the economy between 2000 and 2013 and the health of the Russian economy:
•The share of natural resources rents in GDP (oil, gas, coal, mineral, and forest rents) more than halved between 2000 to 2012 from 44.5% to 18.7%. The actual share of oil and gas was 16%.
•Russian industrial production has grown more than 50% while having undergone a total modernization at the same time.
•Production of food has grown by 100% in 2000 – 2013.
•Production of cars has more than doubled at the same time that all the production has been totally remodeled.
•Russian exports have grown by almost 400%, outdoing all major Western countries.
•Growth of exports of non-oil & gas goods has been 250%.
•Russia’s export growth has more than doubled compared with the competing Western powers.
•Oil & gas does not count for over 50% of state revenues as has been claimed, but only 27.4%. Top revenue source is instead payroll taxes.
•Russia’s total tax rate at 29.5% is among lowest of developed countries, non-oil & gas total tax rate is half that of the Western countries.
•Russia’s GDP has grown more than tenfold from 1999 to 2012.
•Public sector share of employment in Russia is not high in comparison with developed economies. State officials make up 17.7% of Russia’s total work force, which situates it in the middle of the pack with global economies.
•Russia’s labor productivity is not 40% of the Western standards as is frequently claimed, but rather about 80%.
Far from “relying” on oil & gas, the Russian government is engaged in massive investments in all sectors of the economy, biggest investments going to aviation, shipbuilding, and manufacturing of high-value machinery and technological equipment.
Another example of the “Russia relies on oil & gas” argument is provided by Dmitry Trenin from Carnegie Moscow Center. Trenin writes that Russia “lacks real economic strength” (we wonder what the definition is, in view of the data presented in this report) and rhetorically states: “unless it deals with this massive deficiency,” Russia will be doomed. The implication is that Putin has not realized that the economy must be strengthened; nothing has been supposedly done and nothing achieved. Trenin says that, “Russia should work to…” – but he has not noticed any work, even though it is his job to monitor these issues – “…advance in qualitative terms: labor productivity; science and technology power; and the general quality of life of its people.” And in the absence of that, Russia will “slide even deeper.” We can well understand that Trenin may miss the points on science and technology when the approach seems to be so superficial (probably relying on the Economist and other such sources), but the failure by Dmitry Trenin as a Russian living in Russia to detect any improvement in “the general quality of life” of the Russian people we must unfortunately attribute to the malice factor.
The charge that “Russia has not diversified” is also peculiar, not only because it is false, but also because the people that make the charge are usually either Western adherents of the free market theory or Russian domestic quasi‐liberals. One may ask, who is this “Russia” that in their view has failed in this activity? They seem to be referring to the state and in particular Putin and his governments. But if so, then they are being very illogical according to their own ideology. We mean that they are the ones that claim that the state should stay out of the economy and not interfere in it. This being the case, how do they then think that the state has failed in the diversification? What should the state have done? Invest more in businesses? But wasn’t that precisely what they oppose? It becomes evident from this report that the state has done a lot for diversification in all aspects: providing a favorable tax regime, improving the business climate, supporting companies and entire sectors of the economy to diversify, modernizing the economy. And quite recently Putin has announced that he will make these wishes of the critics come true with renewed heavy state investments in industry to create new strong national champions. But will that satisfy the critics, when their dream comes true? No, it won’t, because nothing will. They are in fact preciously little concerned about the economy.
Their motto is: “It’s not the economy, stupid! Our business is Putin‐bashing.”

Thank you. Very interesting that Bloomberg grudgingly recognises same.

Very important text! Thank you Saker for bringing this subject on your blog.
I am from Serbia and I was involved in Serbian politics in the late nineties, and I know personally some people who were involved in Đinđić murder.
The only reason Đinđić was murdered was because he suddenly confronted the West. He had a great reputation in Western public, and he suddenly used that reputation to defend the basic Serbian national interests. That was not to be tolerated by the Empire.
This issue can not be solved without Russia getting more involved in Serbian affairs. The West controls practically everything in Serbia, despite the fact that even pro-Western media in Serbia admits that around 80% of Serbian population today supports Putin and Russia.
Hopefully one day people will know the truth about Đinđić assassination.
By the way,
off the topic, but : when are we going to see Alain Soral’s interview in English?
I’ve been waiting for days now…. and many more of us probably.

21st is today.
Mikheil Saakashvili’s United National Movement (UNM) Party is intending to hold a protest rally on March 21st, demanding that the government resign over the state of the economy. The UNM is doing everything it can to destroy the Georgian economy from within, and has a number of levers for doing so as a former UNM Prime Minister runs the Bank of Georgia, but of course this will not be said.
The UNM also argues that the new government is not interested in joining the EU, as the UNM and most Georgians want. This again ignores the fact that the present government signed an Association Agreement with the EU and the UNM was never allowed to. This in spite of the fact that France and Germany will see Georgia in NATO when hell freezes over, no matter who is in charge.

Well it’s a pity their honcho is already engaged, as a minister in the Ukraine…
I guess they’ll try to install some Ukrainian in Georgia then. Much luck with that. LMAO.

A true mouthpiece of “The City”, so this march 21st article on the AIIB is timely to try to read if they’re panicked about it, or maybe in on it from the ground floor.
Efforts to reform the International Monetary Fund are stalled in the American Congress. America retains its traditional grip on the management of the World Bank. The Manila-based Asian Development Bank (ADB) is always directed by a Japanese official. Partly for that reason—that the AIIB would amount to a diminution of Japanese influence in favour of China at a time when their relations are fraught—Japan is sniffy about the new bank. Its cabinet secretary, Yoshihide Suga, this week repeated that Japan will “carefully study” the AIIB’s governance standards.

Russia, S Ossetia sign ‘integration’ pact
By RFE/FL
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a pact with a Moscow-backed breakaway region of Georgia, despite condemnation by Tbilisi and the West.
Putin and the de facto leader of South Ossetia, Leonid Tibilov, signed the “alliance and integration treaty” in the Kremlin on March 18.
Who is writing this nonsense? Where did he ever “confront the west”? He was a western agent for fwck’s sake!
Djindjic was a clear traitor and definitely despised by all of us, since he was a known NATO asset and a big personal friend of the german-atlanticist warmonger Joschka Fischer.
From this very article:
“Even though he was brought to power in Serbia with Western help, by the beginning of 2003, from being part of the solution when he was removing Slobodan Milosevic, he became part of the problem…”
Errr… hubba-wa??? Brain on vacation or what?
I actually HOPE he was killed by our very own people. That would tell me that we still have some corageous patriots left in (former) Yugoslavia.
He was working for our enemies and thus the theory that some western service killed him is, simply put, pure mind-blowing revisionist nonsense. Whoever killed him, deserves a medal.
What Zoran Djindjic and Serbian people in general did not understand is that form some time ago it is not possible to make gentlemen’s agreement with the USAians and it’s satraps.
