We all know the mantra by now: “Putin is in cahoots with the West! Putin is a puppet of the world oligarchy! Putin sold out Novorussia! Putin only pretends to oppose the Empire!”. We heard it all year long.
Then came Putin’s Valdai speech. It was not anything new, he had said very similar things in 2007: the world hegemony of the USA was unacceptable and it would be stopped.
But the Putin-bashes never noticed. They are very good at not noticing.
Now comes the G20 down south.
On greeting Putin, Harper actually tells him “I guess I’ll shake your hand but I have only one thing to say to you, you need to get out of Ukraine.” According to an Australian spokesmen “Mr. Putin did not respond positively.” (ex-KGB officers are not impressed by, or have respect for, petty street thugs and their swagger).
Merkel, Cameron and Obama threatened even more sanctions in indulged in their usual combo of lies and threats. Obama bested them all with pearl: “We’re opposing Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, which is a threat to the world, as we saw in the appalling shoot-down of MH17” (nevermind that all the evidence shows that it was a Ukrainian SU-25 attack which, in turn, means that it was yet another botched US false flag operation).
As for Putin, having spoken with his BRICS colleagues – who gave him their full support – he is apparently going to leave the G20 summit early and return to Moscow. Actions speak louder than words.
So my question to the Putin-bashers is this? What would it take to convince you that Putin is truly the leader of the world-wide resistance to the Empire and, therefore, the leader of the (truly) Free World?
The Saker

Obama and his ‘exceptional’ banksters used economics to bust up the last big forum effort at global Climate Change response — and now he’s using Climate Change agenda to bust up and distract a major G20 economic forum allegedly meant to focus on the crap economic mess the world is in thanks mainly to him and his predecessor in DC.
Yes, I suspect Putin is wise to head out of town before he contacts some disease ‘down under’ like Chavez et al.
I’m not sure Putin has come out on top with this G20 — certainly not as much as the APEC in Beijing where he was treated with due respect.
Crass and graceless antipodean hospitality (from a man born in the UK, no less) crawling over him self (and out of his budgie-smugglers) to impress on the visitors just how he and his ancestors transformed Terra Nullius [see this for an alternative history — http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/latenightlive/joseph-lycett27s-art3aan-aboriginal-perspective/5849138)]
Perhaps he should drop off an invite to Abbott to drop into Crimea sometime for some playful buddgie smuggling ‘shirt-fronting’ on the sea shore.
In any case he’s got some coal prices to set for his soon-to-be-freezing neighbors to the west.

Why do they need convincing?
It is not a popularity contest.
Someone is the leader or not the leader, whether everyone admits it or not. The changes in the world are happening at a level the common garden variety of Putin basher cannot influence, so what they think really does not matter.
It would also bed a mistake to create a Putin cult. He is not some kind of superhuman god, and should not be regarded as such. He is at the head of something the time of which has come, something that would not have been possible 10 years ago. He is just at the head of it, not doing it single handedly, and a lot of it is not even being done in Russia or by Russians. And Russia is just one of the countries the existing order is trying to destroy.

It would take exposure of Western leaders (starting with Bush-it and ObamaRahm-a) and Zionist Israel as responsible for the 911 attack and subsequent cover-up. The “Official” explanation has been PROVEN by scientists and other experts to be UTTERLY RIDICULOUS! Not only that, the American Military Brass KNOWS that Israel did 911 (Dr. Alan Sabrosky). Putin MUST get his head out of the sand on 911if he is to be credible and get world opinion on other matters on his side.

The Russian leader dismissed allegations that his relations with Merkel had recently become more strained and less friendly.
“You know that we are guided by interests instead of sympathies and antipathies,” Putin said. “And she (Merkel) also had been guided by same interests just like any other leader of a nation, state and government. This is why I see neither considerable changes nor any substantial alterations in the nature of our relations,” he added.

Brazil announced that it will be building a 3,500-mile fiber-optic cable to Portugal in order to avoid the grip of the NSA.
What’s more, they announced that not a penny of the $185 million expected to be spent on the project will go to American firms, simply because they don’t want to take any chances that the US government will tap the system.
It’s incredible how far now individuals, corporations, and even governments are willing to go to protect themselves from the government of the Land of the Free.
The global democracy exists in the minds and hearts of billions of people. And they would elect Putin their leader by an enormous margin. Who would be put up as his competitor?
None.
That says it all, doesn’t it?
The satanists can’t even field a “leader” who would get more than 10% without them “stuffing” the ballot box. Even if they took a factor of 2 or 3, he would beat them 2:1. In other words, a mandate of leadership.
This is after a decade of demonization and daily Media propaganda.
The blood-soaked Elite, romping naked or in their thongs at their exclusive initiations and get-together forums have no credibility.
Russia has held a mirror up to their degeneracy.
The freakoids have no standing because they have nothing but bombs and missiles and dollars.
And they can kill from distance but lose when they put boots on the ground, even proxy boots.
These Western blood sacrifices are like Aztec rituals. The latest are Kurd, Syrian and Iraqi in the Middle East and Ukrainian and Russian in Ukraine.
How more degenerate can it get?
Humanity, when it challenges God’s will and Nature, can plumb the depths of Hell. The Elites are prepared to travel to Hades to hold onto power.
Putin, alone, as leader stands in their way.
Russia and China stand together as nations to challenge this insane Elite Liberal nihilism and decadence.
Now, it is for the global populace to shout out their support of Putin, Russia and China. And to challenge and resist the corrupt, degenerate, murdering Elite Liberals.
Gazprom has never officially disclosed prices for Europe. The European Commission tried to make European Union countries disclose the terms and conditions of agreements with Gazprom but didn’t succeed. Sale prices from Gazprom to 21 other European countries were revealed for the first time, in February 2013, by the daily newspaper Izvestia, which claimed the information was obtained from the company’s executives. No names were revealed, however.
Data show that one price does not fit all for Russia’s European gas consumers. West European countries pay less to Gazprom than do the poorer Central and Eastern European countries. Poland and the Czech Republic pay over $500 per thousand cubic meters of gas, while across the border, Germany pays less than $400.

The failed Ukrainian blitzkrieg that everyone failed to notice.
advisers urged Poroshenko to make hell and fireworks.
Groaning and cursing all, Poroshenko ordered the units to assemble in specified locations, set their howitzers and deploy banners.
The offensive was to begin around November 7. Kiev, as we have noticed, has a weakness to coincide every blitzkrieg to a date symbolic to Russians.
But then the unexpected happened. Which, however, was predictable.
In the first days of November militia dug out of the ground a certain number of “Grads”. The columns were arriving in the city with an enviable constancy. Some say, they were transferred from Snezhnoe. Well, who would argue.
A certain number of artillery and armored vehicles took up positions at the front of the Ukrainian positions.
And. The day before. The planned. Blitzkrieg…
…started a total bombardment of Ukrainian positions. They were bombed continually for two days and in some places dug everything two meters deep into the ground.
Kiev made frantic attempts (two or three) to launch a tank attack in different places (where there was no bombing) near Donetsk and Lugansk – but they ended with nothing. (One of the attacks was repulsed by a division of “International Brigades” – simply put: the natsbol).
And then, finally, Poroshenko spoke the key words: need peace, don’t need WWIII. Who would argue.

I am surprised that people try to project ideology and idealism on politicians that deal in realpolitik. I do agree that Russia is trying to create an alternative economical system. It’s very naïve to think that this is about freedom even if it would be great if that was true. Too many variables remains before even trying to aproximate “what” the political aim is. All options are plausible, including Putin setting up a ersatz capitalistic neoliberal system of his own.
Of course this freedom rhetoric is appealing and will serve the propaganda and furtherring the cause of the famious russian patriotism. National feelings aside it is very encouraging to hear that Putin is the initiator behind a move towards a multilareral adherence to international law in world affairs. All options are plausible, including Putin setting up a BRICS capitalistic neoliberal system of “his” own. Socialism? I wouldn’t even begin to contemplate that, not even in China.
Personally I think the world is in for a very unstable situation and all sides should use diplomatic channels. But I feel there will be too much geopolitical jockeying for that to happen. And western leaders are too entangled too even begin to appreciate the situation.
For me (who is neutral about “bashing” of any kind) I reserve the right to remain highly sceptic about Putin and the immense complexity in “his”(russian elites) political goals. I would suspect to see cold war 2.0 from all sides. And the new incarnation of KGB to function…Everyone will end up with bloody hands as usual. But I would absolutely love for the SCO/BRICS to bring about a NWO, preferably by using international law and diplomacy.
Oh, sorry, perhaps already excess of reading for today!

EC Says Damage Caused by Russian Protective Measures Amounts to 5-6 Billion Euros
According to European Commission (EC) estimates, the damage caused to the European economy by the Russian protective measures amounts to from 5 billion to 6 billion euros (about $6-7.5 billion), Russian President Vladimir Putin said Saturday.
“According to the European Commission data, the losses from Russia’s counter-measures aimed at protecting our economy are estimated as 5–6 billion euros,” Putin said in an interview with the German ARD TV channel.
“Can we estimate the losses that these sanctions have caused Russia? It is rather difficult. To some extent, these are virtual losses. Although we have really sustained losses, it is true,” Putin noted.
The sanctions against Russia, Putin noted, have, however, registered some positive development.
“The restrictions imposed on some Russian companies on purchasing certain goods from Western countries, from Europe and the United States, have induced us to produce these goods ourselves. The comfortable life, when all we had to do was produce more oil and gas, and to buy everything else, is a thing of the past. Now we must think about producing goods ourselves, not just oil and gas,” Putin stated.
The Russian president also spoke about economic growth and future perspectives. According to him, this year’s growth reached from 0.5 till 0.6 percent. As far as the next year is concerned, Putin stated Russia is aiming “to achieve 1.2 percent growth, the year after that 2.3 percent and 3 percent in three years”.
“Generally, these are not the figures we would like to have but nevertheless it is growth and we are confident that we will achieve these figures,” Putin stated.

The real conversation with Tony Abbott would be the tell. If he’s part of the club there’s no need to say anything because they both know what the message is and they stay on it. If he’s not then he says to Tony, here’s the proof (ATC voice recordings, radar etc.) now we both know, you need to make your choices.
He (+BRICS) is dealing with the broke guy, with all of the guns, flooding the world with fiat who have doubled down by lowering the price of oil. The need a higher price and/or more of the world’s oil sold for USD to maintain the Ponzi. Eventually it breaks and Gresham’s law takes over.

As a Canadian I am deeply ashamed of Harper. Most Canadians see him for the US-lackey control freak he is, but due to our First Past The Post electoral system, he manipulated a majority in parliament on 38% of the popular vote. Not that his previous minority gov’t met with any real opposition from the other supine parties either.
Ya, 15% debt/GDP ratio is “weak”. Compared to the US 78% or 114% (all external debt) ratio, Obama/EU/NATO are whistling past the graveyard.
“What are going to do about 50% youth unemployment in Europe?”
maybe somehow, probably in another dimension, Russia could capitalise on this, by having a migration system for young professionals to come & work in Russia.
But that would probably need some changes to officialdom attitudes, good PR and setting up more free trade zones.
Wishful thinking on my part.
Sigh

Even if Russia had ironclad info that 911 was a false flag there is no way they would wade into that particular pond. Because it would do absolutely no good.
Nothing would stop the mainstreaming of the 911 truth movement, or turn it into a cult of conspiracy crackpots faster than Russia joining it.
There would be a global sonic boom from all the American minds snapping shut at hypersonic speed.
Nothing Russia can say or release would convince, any but a handful of Americans or Westerners and they would be immediately labeled traitorous crackpots to be lampooned and assailed everyday in the press. Every sympathetic voice with something to lose would immediately run for cover.

They don’t have to release anything overtly, they can disseminate material to the various 9/11 truth groups who would spread the material for them. It wouldn’t take much. Audio recording of Bush or Cheney discussing the attacks would be sufficient, as many American are vaguely aware that something is wrong with the 9/111 narrative.
As a Canadian, I am requesting that you not give any oxygen to PM Harper’s remarks. He was elected with under 40% of the popular vote last time and is simply pandering to the large Ukrainian diaspora voter base in advance of next year’s election.
According to our national broadcaster, Putin’s response was:

Which is a positive response and just not the one Harper wanted to hear. But then Harper’s team is used to ignoring things they do not want to hear.

Hang in there, baby. Over soon.
Harper was elected because Canadians didn’t like the prospect of minority governments becoming our normal system. Every couple of decades something like that comes up and we have a Tory government for a while. It takes about six months for buyer remorse to set in.
Harper defecates out of his mouth once again! A pattern is emerging: The US talks nonsense and lies all the time but does not cross the diplomatic line by too wide a margin. Perhaps because Obama saying that he would take on Putin would come out as too much of a joke. Instead, the US uses its minions to hurl curses and abuse at Putin. Why on earth can’t Putin tell these minions like Harper and Abbot that he has nothing to discuss with them, does not want to shake their miserable hands, and that all serious talks will be held directly with their boss, the US President. Servants and minions should be kept in their place. Putin and Russia are being way too self-effacing and subservient. It is of course, necessary to keep talks and lines open with US, perhaps to some extent with Germany (even though the Frau stinks and is a habitual liar), but why take insults and taunts from non-entities?
“You shall know the truth and the truth will make you free.”

Strelkov admitting servicing/supplying/preparing for winter just militia very difficult.Maybe novorossiya will become a more stronger movement, a general call to arms(but not against Vp if Rus fails/ cannot look after the east), if Donbass deteriorates further.have people been able to harvest crops, traditionally pickle and make preserves of garden fruit and vegetables to any extent? So many questions, but our hearts surely go to those who are and will suffer .

Harper actually tells Putin “I guess I’ll shake your hand but I have only one thing to say to you, you need to get out of Ukraine.
What Harper did not tell him,
“We Natoists will move in”.
The anglozionist propagandist will ALWAYS play both sides, controlling both the opposition and the empires propaganda.
So the answer is: you will always have people claiming Putin is in cahoots with this and that. Some honestly believe it, others are just doing propaganda, trollin for shekels.
Some people are doing the *same claims* about Assad (for example over at Syrian perspective, in case anyone is interested).
And within a week, they are Gone as in Surrender, Given Up. Porky made a huge announcement today:
Ukraine to close state offices, bank services in rebel-held east
Reuters
(Reuters) – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko issued several decrees on Saturday to shut state institutions and banking services in pro-Russian eastern regions, pressing a move to cut links with the rebel-held territory.
Ukraine has cut all state funding to separatist parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions after separatists held elections in late October which Poroshenko condemned as illegal and in violation of a ceasefire agreement made in September.
The rebels, in turn, say Ukraine violated the deal by moving to revoke a law granting the regions autonomy, putting an already fragile ceasefire in doubt.
A decree posted on the president’s website said all state companies, institutions and organizations should end their work within a week and “evacuate workers, with their permission, (and) where possible remove property and documents”.
(emphasis added)
= = = = =
By this decree, Ukraine junta confirms the state is bankrupt and Novorussia is on its own. “if you like your country, you can have it.”
VP Biden likely to increase his air miles.
Kiev is a fine city, always has been, so who could begrudge making a late autumn visit next week.

“Wishful thinking on my part.”
As Sinatra used to sing, “Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, if you’re young at heart”
Not like 1946 to 1948 though.
Then many returning emigres were shot and sent to the gulag.
Ending the chemtrails over Moscow would do it for me.
under stalin, i understand that there was still the preceding russian constitution in effect all those decades!
is that not true?
so, how about someone translating the current russian constitution, down to clause level, & determining just how much/little is actually being followed by the leaders, & how much is either outright ignored or overridden & run roughshod by say, the security
forces.
just how many, or few, real rights does an average russian citizen have there?
also, does not the president there have the same “E.O.” power to just abrogate, nullify, or set aside whatever he pleases (or is advised to)?
jimstonefreelance.com reporting today that MH-17 “photo” is likely a fabrication/composite, but the bare fact of its release timing says putin has the real photos, but can’t release them as it would reveal sources & capabilities.
so it was a sly way of reminding them there G-20 that they know exactly what went on.
BTW, the putin leaves early meme would be true not only if there’s
nothing to talk about (since they already shortly before, held BRICS & APEC), but if he wants the extra time to return home on one of those russia navy ships they sent down there a few days early.
that would really be a tell!
The situation in Ukraine is very easy to understand.
Either the Novorussian army is shelling its own people, or the entire Western media conglomerate as well as Western leaders are lying.
MK Ngoyo:
Russia’s current strategy is much better. Stay out of it. Keep saying it can’t have been an inside job. And let Americans sort it out themselves.
Nothing can make the MSM to accept the 911 truth. Putin should reveal the evidence to show he is for real against the NWO!
Re “50 watt bulb” @15 November, 2014 15:53, regarding 9/11. Had an interesting personal observation of a mind snapping shut:
Sent a friend of mine some years ago news items about the Mossad group whooping and cheering as the planes hit, photographing from atop a van in New Jersey. (Local people called the cops, who caught them later that day. A week or two later they were hastily sent smuggled out of the country.)
He’s an outspoken, liberal Democratic partisan, fiercely opposed to Bush II at the time. He’s not one of the chosen. Well educated, generally open minded. But his immediate reaction was he’d have to see actual photos of them whooping and cheering, including the expressions on their faces, before he’d believe it, and maybe not even then. It was as if I were talking about flying saucers and little green me.
“What would it take to convince you that Putin is truly the leader of the world-wide resistance to the Empire and, therefore, the leader of the (truly) Free World?”
I feel that there are (at least) two sorts of Putin-bashers:
– the trolls – and here I would include obvious non-entities like the current PM’s of Canada, Australia, France plus probably Finland and Sweden: they say what their paymasters want them to say (whether the trolls have any opinions of their own is a moot point). One could argue that their paymasters recognize VVP’s impact and therefore spend money to slander/hinder him. So in a roundabout way they recognize him don’t they?
– the armchair strategists: these seem to be mostly people with no experience in the military or political arena who feel that in VVP’s shoes they would stick it to those pesky Ukies/nazis/terrorists/etc once and for all according to some dramatic script which would leave no doubt as to their intentions. These posters are honest but naive and hopefully they will gain some experience if they follow sites such as the Vineyard long enough. But even the Saker’s best explanations will (in the beginning at least) not penetrate.
As to the importance of Russia in this clash of civilizations I think that
– At the present time Russia is the only military obstacle to the AZ Empire’s plans: in other words if Russia falls, humanity is entering a dark age. 10 years from now, China will be a military superpower too – but this may bring another set of problems due to the hegemonic Chinese tradition (will the Chinese tradition accept change? nobody knows).
– The last 12 years have shown VVP as an outstanding leader who has mastered a quagmire of very complex situations in a way that most of us don’t really understand. I personally feel that the emergence of such a leader at such a critical time is more than coïncidence, that humanity is going though a sea change and that unconscious forces in humanity have produced VVP at this very crucial moment. He may err, he may stumble, he may fall, but he is very exceptional and he is humanity’s best chance.

I still can’t get off the fence as to whether Putin is an AZ puppet or not. My litmus test is truth-telling about 9/11 so I was hoping a slam dunk at the G20 with a release of info about MH17 and 9/11 (and the rest).
Fifty Watt, you may overestimate your own illumination.
Putin plays realpolitik. He’s said so: it’s like pure mathematics. Anyone in his position plays the same game or they’re soon gone.
What one needs to know about Putin are the controlling interests. To an outsider, these can only be guessed at from his actions.
To judge by his actions, Putin rejects the Washington notion of a plutocratic New World Order, under which nation states are to be subordinated to globalist institutions such as the WTO, the EU, NATO, the UN, which in turn are directed by politicians controlled by the money power.
It is in that sense, that one might say that Putin is for freedom — freedom for Russia to go on being Russian, with control of its own borders and culture.
The alternative is the balkanization of Russia, the assets going to the oligarchs, the space to be open to uncontrolled immigration and the culture to be determined by the requirements of the industrial/commercial system.
So the thugs are trying to muscle down Putin.
Of course, they can come one at a time or in sets of several. But they dare not brave him on neutral turf.
As a gentleman, he will behave.
And when they finish with their Media show they will go evacuate their bowels in panic, thinking of what might become of them ultimately when the world sees the truth of MH-17, the Kiev monstrosity and all the wars and NATO actions that have run their course in massive war crimes.
This tyranny on the globe will end.
China, Russia, India and Iran are too big for the twits and wankers prancing about as world leaders.
Look at the diminution of Merkel in just four months. Germany is in recession, and she will be out sooner than anyone imagined.
You can only whore out your soul and mind for so many paydays until you get ‘syphilitic’ and your life ends in pain and despair.
Not one of these midgets of their own majesty in Brisbane will be anything other than the lowly crematoria guard was in some fog-shrouded death camp. They are good corporals serving their Master, Satan. That goes for the Fraud-in-chief Obama, who has no standing left with even the dolts of my country. If he were White, he’d be gone on a rail, perhaps in an orange jumpsuit.

Poroshenko promising to stop/kill everything in Donbass.
Killing his own citizen and proud of it?
The war goes on. They tried to take back the airport; Givi lost 10 men according to latest reports. But NAF is holding more smaller towns.
OSCE still not seeing UAF convoys.
US still insisting NR keep to the Minske accords, but Poro & Co refusing to go back for further talks. They can no longer pretend they are even trying. Even MSM is going to find it harder and harder to keep believing this BS.
The day Russia really DOES come in they’re in for a bit of a shock.
Meanwhile they all tried their best to keep blackening Russia at the G20 conference. Putin held private talks with some of them. Allegedly going to cut his visit short, being interpreted as “running away”.
The (clearly fake) MH17 revelations seem to be a hint, again, that Russia knows more than it’s letting on.
How do we know what to believe? who to believe? how much of it is confirmation bias? for us? for the other side? How much wishful thinking? these are issues we need to think about. Have pity on the poor population in Ukraine that is being brainwashed with no access to the “other side” at all — most of them are victims in this, too.
CyberBerkut or someone would do well to hack into Ukrainian TV with a bit of “other side”.
What’s really conspicuous about the alleged “left/right” divide within the West is its 100% irrelevance to things that really matter. So here we have right-winger Stephen Harper — a vile political prostitute in the service of Big Business — insulting Vladimir Putin on the (very correct) basis that Russia stirs up trouble to Western imperialist designs. Fine, but then we also have the ultra-super-duper-revolutionary Western left and its unconditional sucking up to their revered betters by slandering anyone the latter are having “problems” with such as Assad or Putin, for instance. Of course, supercilious fraudsters that these little Euro-American leftists are, they make other kinds of noises but, ultimately, they just show that, unlike real anti-imperialist leaders, they’ll never pose a threat to the status quo. So, to summarise the “left/right” divide of the West, here goes:
RIGHT
“I guess I’ll shake your hand but I have only one thing to say to you, you need to get out of Ukraine“
LEFT
“We are Western ultra-super-duper-revolutionaries committed to unrestrained freedom all along the line. But as long as our Earth-shattering über-revolution isn’t materialising, we’ll settle for Western imperialism“
Poroshenko explaining how they are going to win the war. It is an admission that he is focused on genocide: keep bombing civilians so they will have to keep their kids in basements.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHWHqj8g7Bk
“Our children will go to schools and kindergartens. Theirs will hole up in basements.
this is exactly how we will win this war.”
President Obama has access to the best intelligence in the world!!! I am sure he studied it all very carefully, than expertly crafted his speech, prior to making his important policy pronouncement. There are LOTS of Russia experts in USA eager to help him, and he surely must be gaining his insight from the very top experts, Princeton, Chicago professors, ex-ambassador, and such!!!
@Anonymous:President Obama has access to the best intelligence in the world!!!
LOL!! What is your evidence of that? That there are 16+ intelligences agencies in the US? Or that they spend more money than anybody else? Or that they substitute true spycraft with technology? Or their stunning record of getting thins wrong? When is the last time there was evidence that the US intel community got something right?
I assure you that in the world of intelligence, bigger is not always better and sometimes it is worse. Small can be quite beautiful. As for secrecy and huge budgets, they breed corruption, not efficiency.
Oh sure, the US intelligence community is powerful. But it is far far far from being anywhere nearly as effective as you seem to believe it to me.

Fraud-in-chief is spot on. But the “If he were white …” part is off. After all we had Dubya. Undoubtedly the worst US president and an even bigger fraud. He had a comfortable two terms. No out on a rail. Not to mention his creepily demonic veep!
It means that you want the Ukrainian government to destroy everything there, all the political enemies and opponents. Is that what you want? We do not want that. And we won’t allow that to happen.”

quote from VP today to the west at G20
@ The Saker,
I think the problem with the American intelligence services is that it is actually not tasked to provide any true evidence. It is tasked with concocting shit and work for corporations and the shadow power structures. There was a TV series called Rubicon which delved into this area. Despite the fact that the viewing/popularity was very high the series was taken off the air very promptly.
@NotSoFast
Its a cultural thing with the armchair strategists. Not to stereotype, just my long standing observation. I bet most are Americans, accustomed to getting what they want fast and now. Or at least having the ideal of everything now. Therefore a complex patient strategy is not to their liking.
Can’t blame them too much though. The “gimme everything now” worldview is very seductive to humans all around the world. It is the basis of American global influence. For example, it is the basis of all the color revolutions.
– West Ukies want EU association now.
– Gay rights? all of them now. all over the world.
– Democracy? All of it now.
– Putin has to invade Ukraine to achieve a result now.
– Russia must release everything it knows about, well anything, now.
– etc etc.
This is also the West’s Achilles heel. A slow complex strategy completely befuddles western elites. Thus they are at their wits end about how to deal with the rise of China and Russia. Easterners on the other hand are perfectly comfortable with slow complex strategies.
