First, I have to tell you that I don’t know when or where this video was shot. I would say that it is very recent and that it was show somewhere outside the combat zone. It seems to show a Ukie column stopped on the side of a highway which is being approached by civilians offering the exhausted soldiers some water and beginning a conversation. The rest is self-explanatory (make sure to activate the “cc” option to see the English subtitles).
You will notice that at one point the conversation centers around three, possibly four, destroyed brigades which might be interpreted as 10’000 dead Ukies. The brigades are the 72nd, 79th, 24th and 25th. When the civilian asks again how many people were killed, the soldiers answer “go figure!”.
Now, that kind of roadside “interview” does not prove anything, much less so that 10’000 Ukies died or that 4 Ukie brigades were wiped out. But it does show that this is what these Ukies soldiers believe, that the “military rumor mill” on the Ukie side is all about doom and gloom and not about how “we are just about to liberate Donetsk and Lugansk from the terrorists”. Notice also the utter contempt for their commanders and the reference to a completely broken chain of command.
I will also say that reports of that kind are shown every day on Russian TV and on the Russian blogosphere and Internet. I wish somebody had the time to parse YouTube and make a long video of all the many short video reports showing masses of burned down Ukie armor and desperate, disgusted and depressed Ukie soliders (btw – 17 more crossed into Russia today).
On the Resistance side ALL I saw is videos of bombed buildings, killed civilians, and massive artillery strikes from the Ukie positions. I have yet to see a single video showing a destroyed Resistance unit. Mind you – this is war and I am sure that this also did happen, but I did not see it (yet).

When this conflict first started, the Humans of East Ukraine were careful to use non-lethal methods in their attempts to remove the Kiev controlled military units based on their homelands. After a short period of success for the ‘rebels’, where no-one on either side was getting hurt, Kiev gave the order to use indiscriminate deadly force against any people approaching their positions.
This was the first and LAST time we got videos of significant numbers of resistance people slaughtered- convoys of lightly armed rebels ambushed, and all those that couldn’t get away executed on the spot. I hope the people here remember this.
Anyway, the ‘rebels’ learnt a valuable lesson, and ceased to provide the well armed neo-Nazi controlled military units with ‘sitting duck’ targets. So today, the roles are well and truly reversed. The neo-Nazis satisfy themselves with hitting soft civilian targets, or blitzing entire regions where ‘rebels’ might be ‘hiding’ with hundreds of fragmentation shells.
Any person with battlefield experience can ensure a ‘rebel’ unit will survive such random attacks. On the other hand, the neo-Nazi methods require that THEIR units are the sitting ducks now if they are unable to deploy enough experienced infantry to prevent the approach of ‘rebel’ strike squads from any possible direction.
When defenders are well motivated, well trained and well armed, they have an extraordinary advantage against attackers. With no useful air support, Kiev needs to grind the defenders down with vastly superior numbers of ground troops. However, superiority in numbers will make no difference if the attackers are poorly motivated, poorly led, and have no sustainable battle-plan to effectively benefit from any ‘gains’ they make.
NATO/EU/Obama wants the Kiev neo-Nazis to go all ‘ISIS’/IDF on the Humans of Novorussia, but the neo-Nazi portion of Kiev’s armed forces is strictly limited in number. NATO is desperate to supplement the home-grown neo-Nazis with Obama’s/Blair’s vastly more murderous mercenary forces, but these ‘foreigners’ stick out like a sore thumb in Ukraine, and rapidly become targets for covert assassination squads.

That’s nothing. This video taken by Press TV News shows a substantially Ukrainian base with a team setting out on patrol. The camera is probably mounted on an APC of some kind. The video shows details of the base, possibly sufficient to identify its location. It also clearly shows the license plates of a large number of private cars that the Ukrainians use to go out on patrol.
After setting out, the patrol is ambushed. It rapidly retreats only to run into another ambush. Scary stuff.

Anyway, the Ukies claim today their troops have taken Lugansk. Turns out all they have is video clip of them putting up the Ukrainian flag in some Lugansk suburb. I’m sure that group had to retreat or got cut off and chewed up by nightfall. I always remember that in WWII the mighty, disciplined Wehrmacht besieged Leningrad for three years, made it to the end of the trolley line that went straight to the Kremlin from where their artillery spotters could see the Kremlin’s stars in their scopes, and fought for months in the heart of Stalingrad only to lose the war. This is why I don’t overreact to the junta’s ‘we’re going to take Donetsk any day now and Lugansk is completely encircled’ propaganda that Western MSM lazily and deliberately repeats.
@BradCabana says a whole lot of potential encirclement battles going on now. The NAF is dropping hints the Ukies have poured more armored fighting vehicles into the combat zone than they have drivers for, while the NAF certainly has been capturing more ‘trophies’ and is boasting (with the Daily CIA Beast no less reporting it with blaring headlines) of having trained tankers and APC drivers arriving from Russia after several weeks of learning how to drive and shoot with these things. The NAF probably doesn’t have the manpower to complete encirclements in these multiple hot spots but they’ll certainly give the Ukies a horrible mauling before they can retreat from Krasny Luch.

Your confusion makes perfectly good sense. The theoretical Ukie brigade probably has something in the range of 5’000-6’000 men depending on the type. However, just as in the First Russian Chechen war, there is a huge gap between the theory and what the Russian state under Eltsin actually managed to muster. You had a lot of “cadre” divisions, which means that they have their gear in storage, a bunch of officers and called-up men who are supposed to turn that into a real division. But of course they never get near the full complement. Add to this that even a “brigade” does not fight as a whole, but as a bunch of separate battalions or even companies. And then add to this the total organizational chaos, corruption and lack of discipline and I bet you that most Ukie “brigade commanders” don’t even know – or care – how many men there are on their so-called “brigades”. Then there is the Chechen method: as you as you command over 1000 men, you are “brigade general”. Yeah, right!
Also, most Ukie units get destroyed, then re-built, then destroyed again, then re-built again. The Azov “battalion” did that 3 times at least.
Coming back to the issue of casualties, all of the above means that 1) nobody knows and 2) nobody cares. But you can be pretty darn sure that they are huge. So if tomorrow you hear that the 72nd, 79th, 24th and 25th briagdes have been wiped out, and then you hear about them again a week or so later, do not think that there is a contradiction: the Ukies keep resurrecting these units.

I was pro-Novorossiya for a long long time, but I think now that the separatists (excuse the term, I don’t necessarily want to call them pro-Russians) don’t have a case anymore. All NAF fighters should retreat immediately to Russia to save their lives. Too many civilians are being killed, and the presence of NAF fighters in the region is a magnet for hostile fire from the junta forces. Hence, the NAF is part of the chain of causation resulting in civilian deaths.
Don’t worry about the innocent people left behind to the Nazi government. The Kiev regime is bound to fall anyway. The simple truth is, there is no longer any moral justification for the armed defense of Novorossiya. The sooner the NAF leaves, the fewer the people that will die.
Whatever Ukrainians may seem to think, human life has value. Nothing is worth killing for. Nothing.

Really terrible, even if it is a doll, when is burning, looks like a real person, and after all, are representing that burn a human being.
If you look, the younger children are very serious, I think impressed. Seeing this and the other day´s, with Irina Farion at kindergarten, I think they’re traumatizing a generation, if not both. The effects of this will be in the future.

I have previously interpreted Meyssan as too apologetic for Israel but he partially justifies himself with a persuasive, if incomplete history of the “Anglo-Saxon” (his choice of words to describe an Anglo-Zionist) project.

Meyssan and Gilad Atzmon are part of a small but growing group of people who can be described as secular and local nationalist pro Torah Jews. I think you can appreciate how tough it might be for any Jew to come to terms with this idea.

LOL ZeroHedge is too anti-Semitic, what with this site’s ‘Zionists’ this and ‘Zionazis’ that? Of course, I really do think at least some armor, arty and more critically cash, ammo, volunteer fighters and intel have crossed the border from Russia since April. But what’s hilarious is the Ukies have to make up Russian APC convoys out of whole cloth and the USA CIA/NRO STILL can’t produce decent infrared satellite shots of a single tank or APC crossing the border at night!
I specially liked the segment in which a soldier complaining of being trashed by the self defense forces vigorously scratches his balls probably to make sure they are still with him hanging where they should be.

My statement about Zerohedge should’ve read:
“Anyone who trades off ZH or makes long or short term investment decisions off that site more complex than ‘buy gold and silver’ [and storable food, water filters, guns and ammo] is an idiot.”
Oil is up and down as are other commodities subject to manipulation alongside precious metals. And of course, the stock market can defy gravity thanks to central bank money printing much longer than anyone’s shorts can work. But again, who really makes investment decisions other than people who are already prepper/survivalist types based on Zerohedge?
Seems the site gets haters mostly due to envy of its traffic (top 1,000 most visited sites every day in the USA, according to Alexa) and libertarian anti-fiat, anti-central banking and anti-NATO politics. If you hate Zerohedge’s politics, than just say so, rather than trying to accuse them of swinding when the vast majority of the site’s readership doesn’t buy a single thing advertised there and ISN’T stacking gold or silver.

Yeah I took one look at that video and its promotion by the usual Ukie Twitter warriors and thought “that looks like a fake with Right Sector playing the role of this ‘armed Siberian insurgent’ group nobody’s ever heard of”.
Of course, Interpreter Rag via ‘ex’ CIA man Paul Goble has been promoting this ‘Kremlin is suppressing a growing Siberian independence movement’ rubbish for weeks. But what else to expect from Goble whose specialty is finding obscure crankish Russian liberals and translating their rants into respectable analysis eg exactly what Interpreter Rag accuses RT of doing by seeking out ‘conspiracy theorists’ with no following in the West and putting them on the air.
