Introduction: The Three Aims
The three aims of the Russian Federation’s Special Military Operation in the Ukraine were clearly announced by President Putin at the outset on 24 February. They were very specific, very limited and deliberately excluded the occupation of the whole of the Ukraine, let alone attacks on any territories outside it. Moreover, any suggestion of the use of nuclear weapons was quite absent – that was only ever raised by the hysterical irresponsibility and propaganda of Western politicians and journalists. Let us recall that the three aims were, firstly, the liberation of the Russian Donbass from the Nazis, and, secondly and thirdly, the demilitarisation and denazification of the Ukraine as an ‘Anti-Russia’, created there by the West since 2014. In other words, the Russian aim was to finish the unfinished World War II against Nazism and definitely not trigger a ‘World War III’.
Extension Inside the Ukraine?
It is true that since then the first aim of the Operation has had to be extended to the liberation of much of the Black Sea coastal area, including Kherson and Zaporozhia, to link the Donbass with the Crimea. Initially, this action resulted from Kiev Junta attempts to cut off the water supply to the Russian Crimea, and its threats to the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the Kerch Bridge. However, strategically, a further extension of the original aim to include all of the Black Sea coast, including Nikolaev and Odessa as far as the Romanian border, would make perfect sense.
This would leave any rump Ukraine as a landlocked State, like Slovakia or Belarus. This would allow Russian control of the northern Black Sea, undermining current attempts by Western ships to empty Ukrainian grain stores so that malnutrition will begin there, a new famine or ‘Golodomor’, and also provide a landbridge to the isolated and threatened Russian territory of Transnistria. It must be underlined that this has not yet occurred, but given the bankruptcy of the incompetent Kiev regime and even the US admission on 24 May that Kiev can no longer service its debt, more Ukrainian provinces may yet ask to be taken into the Russian Federation.
As Western Ukrainian authorities are receiving NATO supplies from across the Polish border and displaying incredible, Nazi-inspired oppression of its pro-Russian minority, including banning the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) and seizing and closing its churches, we wonder if the Special Operation may not have to be extended there too, despite the original aims. However, much more than this, could NATO force a far greater extension of the aims of the Operation through its threats from NATO territories outside the Ukraine?
Extension Outside the Ukraine?
First of all, there are the undemocratic applications of the once neutral Finnish and Swedish establishments to join NATO. This organisation, which bears the words ‘North Atlantic’ in its title, having just lost a war in the foothills of the Himalayas and is now threatening China, wants to expand to Northern Europe. Perhaps its leaders need to take some lessons in basic geography? For the moment Turkey is blocking those applications, but its objections may not, with US pressure on inflation-ridden Ankara, stay the course. In any case, Russia has already clearly stated that if NATO weapons are based in Finland and Sweden, they will be destroyed. Will the second aim of demilitarisation therefore have to extend to those countries too?
Secondly, there is the case of Poland, which already has two battalions (approx 1,000 troops?) of lightly-armed infantry who are at present stationed at the transport hub of Pavlodar in central Ukraine. Are they mercenaries or real Polish-NATO troops? Have they in any case already been destroyed by the Russian missile attack on 24 May? However, much more dramatically, it has been announced at inter-governmental level that Poles and Ukrainians are now ‘brother-peoples without borders’. In other words, as the Russian spokeswoman Maria Zakharova explained on 23 May, Polish citizens in principle therefore have the same rights as Ukrainian citizens in the Ukraine, apart, for the moment, from the right to vote. It means that the Kiev regime has basically renounced its own sovereignty.
This statement potentially implies an invitation to Polish forces to enter and take over several provinces of western Ukraine, which the Polish authorities have coveted for centuries. This would take the Ukrainian Operation to another level. Such a new ‘Ukrainian’ Army would be a NATO army. This could potentially become an invitation for total war between NATO and Russia, since Russia certainly has the right to wipe out foreign troops in the Ukraine, as it has already done. However, all this is speculative and we should wait for concrete facts before drawing conclusions. The notorious warmonger Stoltenberg of NATO made it clear on 24 May that his terrorist organisation does not want what it terms ‘direct war’ with Russia.
Thirdly, there is the case of the Baltics. The US-installed elite in Lithuania, which neighbours vulnerable Russian Kaliningrad, has shown special aggression towards Russia, including threatening to ban the hostage Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) – as has already happened in extensive areas of the western Ukraine. The pro-Nazi Latvian and Estonian governments are not far off the Lithuanian position. Could this mean that the Russian Federation might decide to demilitarise and denazify those three NATO member-countries too? After all, the three States all have oppressed Russian minorities, especially Latvia. Estonia is very close to Saint Petersburg. As for Kaliningrad, if ever NATO were so foolish as to invade it from Lithuania and Poland, between which it is sandwiched, the consequences would be dire.
Fourthly, there is the case of Romania. Although it has small and perhaps justified territorial claims on the southern Ukrainian border, above all it is interested in Moldova. If it were tempted to invade Moldova, there would be problems not only with the people of tiny and unprotected Moldova, many of whom are not pro-Romanian, but also with Russia. Would Russia allow NATO-armed Romania to invade Moldova, or would Russia sooner take Moldova into the territory of the Russian Federation along with Transdnestria to protect it from NATO? Here too there are many speculations and doubts.
Finally, we wonder if the Russian Federation will continue to tolerate the aggressive statements and actions of anti-Russian representatives of the mercenary US-installed elites in Bulgaria and Greece? If the Bulgarian and Greek elites were cleansed of those who will ‘do anything for a million dollars’ and their countries turned back into pro-Russian territories, it would mean that all of the Eastern half of Europe could at last return to being a pro-Russian, NATO-free buffer zone. This zone would of course include Hungary as well as Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is, most of ex-Yugoslavia, where most people and some of the governing classes are pro-Russian anyway.
As for Central Europe (here we include the Czech Lands, East Germany and Austria, as well as Slovenia, Croatia, and even Albania) and Western Europe, their populations would simply have to cope with being cut off raw materials. This means cut off from Russian oil, gas, paper pulp, fertilisers, cereals and minerals and the eventual possibility of the poorest among them facing starvation and next winter hypothermia because of their ruling classes’ anti-Russian sanctions. Unless, of course, those populations decided to revolt and liberate themselves from their neo-feudal, US-installed colonial elites. Even the offshore UK, with its buffoonish, New York-born Prime Minister Johnson, could yet object and reject. The economic situation in Europe is becoming serious.
Conclusion: Common Sense or….
Naturally, we cannot say what will happen. What we can say very clearly, however, is that the US elite and its NATO minions are playing with fire. As the dollar slips on a daily basis, now below even 57 to the rouble for the first time since 2015, some Western bankers are beginning to panic. If the NATO vassals have any common sense, they will dissolve NATO altogether, as should have happened in 1991, when the Warsaw Pact was dissolved. However, as they say, the problem with common sense is that it is very rare. It is rather like intelligence, which is very limited – whereas the capacity for stupidity is utterly unlimited….
Absolutely brilliant analysis Batiushka.
Erdogan is just playing the cards he has been dealt with in Ukraine to get permission to slaughter the Kurds in Syria.
He’s got more faces than the big Ben clock in London that one. His dealings with the Kremlin during this war has been very machiavellian to say the least.
“Moreover, any suggestion of the use of nuclear weapons was quite absent – that was only ever raised by the hysterical irresponsibility and propaganda of Western politicians and journalists.”
This is simply not true. Putin condoned the use of nuclear weapons early on if Russia was deemed to be in danger of an existential threat. There has also been much talk of their use in Russian state television.
Petr, yes, that is true, but Putin was NOT saying anything new. The whole purpose of these nuclear weapons is to protect Russia from any existential threat. This is the same doctrine for the last 70 years. All Putin was doing wad reiterating an already old and well-known policy. And he ONLY had to do that because the West raised the issue first to demonize Russia and exaggerate the threat.
My thoughts exactly. If he gets the green light he can invade, seize Syrian oilfields, and become a strong candidate for replacing part of Russia’s energy export marketshare to Europe.
It would also go a long way for Turkey’s long desire to join Europe – whether that is the EU or this new BoJo creation.
re: “The three aims of the Russian Federation’s Special Military Operation in the Ukraine were clearly announced by President Putin at the outset on 24 February. They were very specific, very limited and deliberately excluded the occupation of the whole of the Ukraine”
How do you keep or make a country deNazified and without a military without basically controlling it? The Nazification progressed even during the Soviet years, let alone once the West got to put people in places or power or importance, such as in education.
Many of us think Moscow’s goals and actions are understandable, but it is misleading to think they can be achieved simply and in a “very limited” way. Ever since Krushchev, Moscow has been trying to negotiate a way of understanding with the Bandera people and mindset. The results speak for themselves. The “very limited” approach of Moscow was a big reason we are where we are. It is like negotiating with cancer. Instead of working out a deal with the current players throughout the Ukraine and forcing the obvious Nazis to retire, it would be far better to create new cadres, and try to avoid the Party of the Regions folks. They are another big reason for the current mess. That would be like Russians getting a choice between Chubais and Kudrin.
Muito bem. O cancro debela-se na origem.
The cancer analogy is fitting. A healthy body rarely gets cancer, if it gets it, it goes into remission. Strengthening societies (stopping postmodern rot, militant wokeism and other top-down perversions) keeps the “doctor” away.
We will all know in advance if Russia is going to up the anti as Putin will have to go to the Duma to explain and get the permission to move to phase 3.
Explain “why” the original objectives have changed.
Because they try their best play by the book and international law.
…some Western bankers are beginning to panic…
Missing here is any mention of the driving force of this insane escalation – a looming hyper-inflationary financial implosion to make 2008 look like amateur drama. Finance knows that any attempt to go for mass bailouts will cause something to make the Yellow Vests look like a kindergarten.
Instead of facing bankruptcy reorganization, splitting the speculative side off as FDR did in 1934, but on a US-Eurasian scale this time, they could destroy the place.
Glazyev in Russia focuses on this – Russia has also financial problems – sanctions hit that flank. China is ready.
COP26, which Russia, China, India sabotaged, led by ex-Bank of England Chief Marc Carney, did not deliver $150 trillion of green credit, hence speaker Sharma’s pathetic whimper at the close.
Now Marc Carney is named on the Board of Chatham House, the RIIA, UK’s oldest military think-tank, HQ of secret services.
So NATO, UK and Finance in – surprise, surprise – Gleichschaltung! And the bankers boys, SS, let loose again.
Bonbon,
Sovereign nation states cannot go bankrupt as they are not a household.
They issue the currency.
They can run out of things to buy that is for sale in their currency but never run out of the currency itself.
EU nation states are different the ones that use the Euro. They can go bankrupt as they give up their sovereignty to be run by Brussels. No longer issue their own currency. The Euro is like a foreign currency to the EU states that use it.
Like the $ is to Russia.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=o8eUZPJQjvo
Who said sovereign nation states?
They are supposed to bail-out the global financial slime mold, which is Ultramontane.
That slime mold is about to implode, and do exactly as Bush, Obama, various prime ministers did to nation states – loot them to the bone.
Look at the bail-outs, liquidity pumping, and look at the physical economy.
Drop the Hayek, Keynes monetarist smoke and mirrors, which actually most people see as a fog right now.
Nation States never go bankrupt. Germany did in 1923/24.The United States during their war with the British during the revolutionary war. United States began to print paper money and bills of credit to raise income. This proved unsuccessful, inflation skyrocketed, and the new paper money’s value diminished. A popular saying circulated the colonies because of this: anything of little value became “not worth a continental.”[17]
Bail-outs from sovereign nation states are the problem.
The Hayek/Keynes pablum is simply laudanum.
Bankruptcy is not the problem, bail-outs, bail-ins, are.
Get it?
Russia does – the Empire of Lies is utterly and irredeemably bankrupt – not to be saved by any form of bail-out, bail-in. Now see Russia’s position – as Pepe Escobar said – look at the smile on a Siberian Tiger cat.

….Sovereign nation states cannot go bankrupt as they are not a household…..
Au constraine – insolvency is the proper term here. And sovereign nation states become INSOLVENT all the time.
There is also the case of a government soft-defaulting on their debt. The US federal government has soft defaulted on its debts with regularity, namely
1934
1971
1984
1994
Insolvency and default are effective bankruptcies. They may not meet the legal term of a bankruptcy, but from a creditor‘s practical perspective it’s a bankruptcy.
Even the nominally pro-Nato Asia Times see it coming :
US stock plunge has Asia bracing for a fall

Hysterical allusions to Lehman, 2008, and writing ‘no-one saw it coming’, is of course par for the Nato golfcourse.
Not at all coincidentally, WaPo lets the Ukrainian war disaster out of the bag.

Point to remember is not the Lehman crash, whoever that will be first, now, but the MSM absolute terrorist bail-out, bail-in, save us that is about to start. Ukraine who? It is all China’s fault, as Chatham House, RIIA and HJS have already decided.

Thank you eagle eye, that was funny. It was a good way to start my weekend. Cheers!!
“Secondly, there is the case of Poland, which already has two battalions (approx 1,000 troops?) of lightly-armed infantry who are at present stationed at the transport hub of Pavlodar in central Ukraine”.
Do you mean “Pavlograd”? Pavlodar is in Kazakhstan.
If Polish soldiers are really in Pavlograd, they are less than 200 km from the fighting, and only about 150 km from Donetsk itself.
Not good.
Nothing new as they were a contingent of Polish Forces in the Donetsk Airport in 2014. They were respected by the DNR guys as fighters but they were eliminated in time.
Polish politicians just seem to be suckers for being war bait.
Certain parts of Lithuania has to be taken out, the parts bordering Poland and Kaliningrad, or the whole country, dividing the so-called NATO unity. Latvia and Estonia will just collapse. These two countries have names as countries, but as population nothing much, for example, Estonia has just 919 thousand ethnic Estonians, Latvia has just 1.2 million ethnic Latvians. Lithuania, by the way has 2.37 million ethnic Lithuanians.
Which NATO country would fight for those countries? With their so-called unity?
Baltic states and their smoked baltic sardines liberation too?
If nuclear war starts between Russia and NATO, Poland and the baltic states will be first to be sacrificied. Now Finland is pushed to lead all the european countries bordering Russia.
Unfortunately, the thesis that RU must expand its operations has a certain probability. In any case, I think it’s good that the original goals of the RF are always being recalled. So far, RU has only carried out its SMO, which the West does not want to understand, or is deliberately lying to its population.
A fundamental misjudgement of Russian-Chinese economic strength by the USA/Nato/EU/GB/Five Eyes/Japan results from the fact that GDP is always based on dollars and not on PPP, because on PPP China is a few trillion dollars stronger than the USA and the RF as strong as Germany.
On Russia’s borders the RF is stronger than the West in all weapons anyway.
So RU can sustain the war for decades.
How adaptable this huge country is is shown by a news item from the Kremlin-critical

The Moscow Times 5 May 2022
Russian Car Factory Gives Farmland to Furloughed Workers
A Russian car plant is handing out farmland to workers facing furlough after Western automakers left Russia over Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
The Avtotor factory, based in Russia’s western enclave of Kaliningrad, has earmarked 300 hectares (740 acres) for its garden giveaway.
Avtotor said that giving land so that workers could grow their own produce would help factory staff amid the “difficult economic situation.”
“The plots are fully prepared for the planting season,” the plant said in a statement Tuesday.
“A questionnaire for factory employees was conducted in advance and a list of those willing to take advantage of this support was drawn up.”
Avtotor announced on April 28 that it would put some of its 3,500 employees on three-week paid leave starting May 1.
Founder Vladimir Shcherbakov has said his factory saw a threefold drop in volume on their assembly lines after BMW and General Motors halted production in Russia in early March. South Korean motor brands Hyundai and Kia and China’s Nanjing Automobile Corporation, have continued to work with the factory despite issues with component deliveries.
The plant has already distributed 168 plots of land measuring 1,000 square meters each in the village of Kholmogorovka near the Baltic Sea.
The rest of the land, located in the nearby village of Lyublino, is scheduled to be raffled off to workers in May.

1,000 square meters each ?
Wow ! That’s a nice bit of land. I suspect in 10 years time, we‘ll see prosperous little hamlets developed here.
There’s no lasting advantage in going into Poland. It will just galvanize the west, at a time where the west is collapsing. Also, the interests of American patriots now actually at least roughly coincide with Russia’s efforts. It sounds perplexing, but the American Empire is wrecking the sovereign, American nation. Pushing into Poland would complicate the situation tremendously, for very little gained in return. In fact, you could argue that Poland is a liability for the West.
I’m no expert, but I’d love to see Russia annex Ukraine, completely. Ukraine shouldn’t exist as an independent nation. They are Russian co-ethnics, and are irrevocably tied to Russia. They have turned all free-thinking people against them, throughout the world, and the conduct of the Ukrainian military has been disgraceful: torturing prisoners, happily posing with fallen Russians, and even eating them. There is even an image (verified) of a Ukrainian soldier torturing a cat, which is makes no sense at all. The Nazis there were torturing people from the beginning, though. There was a video in 2015, of a Ukrainian woman beaten with a rod. It was sickening. At the time, it made me so enraged at the Hillary Clinton. Apparently, the Ukrainians have continued these practices.
With access to truly global media (as opposed to “globalist” media), anyone can see that the Ukrainians have maintained zero ethical standards, regarding their conduct of the war. The whole thing needs to go back to Russian control. The Poles are a non-factor, so long as they remain subject to the globalist empire. If they broke off and sided with Russia, they might be a more powerful nation. That will likely take the reunification of the Churches, which we have sadly failed to achieve. Hopefully we will get an actual, Catholic Pope again, and can come up with some kind of solution. Pope Francis has disdain for the East, though, because they ironically keep to Catholic Tradition better than the Vatican does. If I were of Russian ancestry, I would become Orthodox in a heartbeat.
It would be more profitable to simply become a Christian, like they did in the first century.
Political fiction hypothesis of a keyboard general.
Whereas:
1) Greece and Russia are now on bad terms.
2) Russia feels betrayed by Greece, a nation it considered a sister.
3) Having Turkey on its side, getting it over to the Eurasian side and getting it out of NATO would be a big hit.
4) Erdogan would not mind being remembered as the president who returned to Turkey territories that were once part of the Ottoman Empire.
Taking into account all these factors, perhaps the Kremlin strategists could think of bringing Turkey to their side by making extensive concessions in territorial terms to Turkey, for example Cyprus, the islands of the Dodecanese and the Aegean Sea.
Erdogan would find this proposal irresistible …..
The day Russia gives Greek territory to Turkey is the day Russia makes an enemy of all Greeks. Greek people have always sympathised with Russia but the majority of Greeks will never abide by territorial concessions for any reason. Greeks were anti – Russian when Russia tried to give Macedonia to the Bulgaria from1878- 1908 and swung anti- Russian again when even anti Fascists realised Communist rule in Greece would give Macedonia away to Bulgarians a second time ie Greek Civil War. Late 1940s. See Marshall Plan .
It would be stupid for Russia to help Turkey in any way at the expense of the Greeks , and the latter will never forget such an act.
Actually, after the austerity measures crises that Greece was subject to it has to sell many of its island territories. Israel is considering buying these up. Greece has already made territorial concessions
“by making extensive concessions in territorial terms to Turkey,”
Thank you for your illustration of the “American way” – “giving” something that is not yours to others in hope of getting by with a little help from your “friends”.
“Political fiction hypothesis of a keyboard general”.
General of what in general?
All of these and probably many other situations are on the tables of Mr. Putin, Lavrov und Shoigu. All of them professionals chess-players of geopolitics. Let’s wait and see.
That is correct. The original aims of Russia will remain the same but there will be a response to any and all western moves against Russia. That is why the southern and eastern oblasts are now targeted for inclusion into the Russian sphere of influence if not entirely absorbed. Any further moves will be the result of NATO and EU moves.
Good Article, thank you.
There’s a good bit to chew on here.
I think at a minimum, President Putin must be viewing this as an opportunity for the ‘Regathering of the Russian Lands’. This would likely just include Ukraine and Belarus along with some smaller border territories such as South Ossetia.
As the Ukrainian collapse continues, I expect back channel negotiations between Russia and Poland on the disposition of Western Ukraine. It is quite possible that Russia would gladly hand that particular headache to the Poles.
I also can’t help but think that NATO enthusiasm in Finland and Sweden will cool significantly once the impotence of the alliance is exposed.
Erdogan dreams of a revived Ottoman Empire, with himself as the Caliph. When the Caliphate was dissolved under Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, its powers were vested in the Turkish Parliament. In theory, a simple legislative act could reverse this and a new Caliph elevated.
Whether Russia would support the new Caliph or not, is questionable, since Iran is a more important partner in my opinion. But it would definitely make Greece and Bulgaria nervous.
As an American(Southerner), who’s family has resided in North America for nigh on 400 years, I see a Russian victory as a victory for myself and all traditional Americans. I look forward to the day when ‘Mordor on the Potomac’ is reduced to rubble.
Slava Rossii
”Whether Russia would support the new Caliph or not, is questionable, since Iran is a more important partner in my opinion.”
Russia sold S-400 to Turkey and did not sell them to Iran, I wonder why.
Russia’s support for Turkey is important…just look how Erdogan blocked Finland’s and Sweden’s application to join NATO.
Interesting, but why look at a Russian victory as a victory for ourselves when we should be cleaning up our own corrupt mess. Perhaps that’s the problem with the American people, they are always waiting for someone else to clean up the messes we leave behind and then blame it on someone else.
I look at it that way, because that is what I believe it is. You are correct that we are responsible for our own future and for any ‘housecleaning’. However, we should take our advantages wherever they come from.
Extension Outside the Ukraine? Just the denazification of UA seems to be A Bridge Too Far for Russia now. Even crossing a narrow river under some UA artillery fire was a costly experience. Cesars and other guns with their ammo made it from Poland to the front. Plus more long-range arms are coming form USA soon. Perhaps Mr. Ritter was right? Seems to be too much triumphalism from Esteemed Batiushka.
Soldier Josef Sweik of CK army …..you are now certified arm chair general….
The Saker moderators must be under pressure from Big Brother to allow even the most pathetic of anti-Russian comments through.
One of the US commanding officers said afterwards about the second gulf war, that the tragedy to America was that it was too easy (referring to the conquest of Iraq). He was implying that America gained no useful experience about combined operations against a near peer rival because Iraqi forces provided no challenges to overcome. The same cannot be said about the Russian SMO. Russian forces are gaining valuable battlefield experience, including how to combat new threats like drone attacks, use of counter battery artillery and exposure to all manner of NATO weapons. After Russia’s victory, which is inevitable, she will emerge as thoroughly battle tested and excellent land power.
…also an excellent air and space power. With the current missile tech sea power, with the exception of submarines. is not so important anymore IMO.
Thanks for this excellent report. There’s a lot happening on the economic front which should speed up the demise of the US ruling Satan. Sri-Lanka just defaulted on its IMF loan payment and experts fear other countries are going to follow in the same path. Now if the China-Russia new economic system could offer those poor countries in Asia, Africa and elsewhere, some non-US dollar financial/economic incentives, then the world will see a huge exodus of the countries into the new Russian-Chinese multi-polar camp. So the so-called US dollar based system is on its last leg and things should get a lot worse for America and its lackeys before next winter. Hopefully most of Novorossia should be freed by then and those mini states in E. Europe will have to make up their minds whether stay with Uncle lgbtq or move in the right direction and join Russia for a better world. During this period, Russia can continue with what is doing now and just wait for NATO’s reactions. If they decided to form a coalition of the shilling around Uncle lgbtq, they would then follow up on Napoleon Bonaparte-Hitler’s unfinished missions by doing a third round Blitzkrieg against Moscow. In that case Russia and indeed the entire world will be ready to deal with them, accordingly.
I’ve stated from the beginning of this SMO that a wider war is guaranteed. Frankly, the US is happy to take its gains (Nordstream 2, total subjugation of EU, Russia cut off from swift, sanctions from Hell, looting of Sovereign wealth) and move on to making plays as they want to remove Russia from UNSC, internationally make Russia a virus no one will touch. The US wants to move on to China, demonize & at the same time get boatloads of $$ from China for “climate change” . They need China’s $$ & co-operation for “climate change (I.e. great reset, nwo etc). The UK & Canada however, will do everything & will bring Russia NATO conflict about. The UK viral hatred of Russia is off the charts. They even now per RT are looking to form their own coalition to start a war.
The ‘UK viral hatred of Russia is off the charts’. I think you should modify that to ‘the indescribably corrupt and morally degenerate Establishment of the UK, almost entirely based in London and surrounding counties, show a viral hatred of Russia totally unrepresentative of the compassionate views of most ordinary UK citizens’.
We, the people, don’t hate Russia and we don’t hate Russians. A large number of us wanted nothing to do with conflict in Ukraine, it being a matter between Russia, the puppet regime in Ukraine and the non-representative global hegemonists that control the puppets on Capitol Hill and in the White House.
None of us have voted for war in Ukraine, we voted in the current Parliament to ‘get Brexit done’. Whether Russia likes that or not, they should approve of sovereign decisions by the largest democratic mandates ever achieved in the UK. They covered UK general elections, UKIP’s winning of European Parliament elections and a specific Referendum.
A lot of British people are now openly voicing the truth that the USA are not our friends, they are our masters. We don’t consider the Special Relationship to have any value to us and we absolutely don’t want globalist policies foisted upon us, be they from George Soros, Bill Gates, the WEF, the WHO, NATO, the TLC or any other number of unrepresentative elite talking shops.
Russia should be open in telling UK ‘colleagues’ to check whether their hot-headed pronouncements carry the support of their electorates. I am pretty confident in telling you that they do not, even if they do carry the cowardly, self-serving media prostitutes that have been royally funded by the UK Government since lockdowns in 2020.
Reply to Rhys: Completely agree with your reply. I’m not sure about UK citizens, but Americans have the attention span of a fly. They can run the mouth and hate for a week or so, then move on to hating the next latest fashionable thing to hate. As for “voting” for a war… Americans have NEVER been asked, and all those “voted” in folks… the second they take their posts they pass & do whatever the lobbyists, mic, & foreign interests groups pay & tell them to do.
+1 from another citizen of the UK (what a shit-hole it has become over the past 40 years).
When have the Tories ever been other than alcoholic Fascists; aloof and consumed by greed? Their continuing electoral success really doesn’t reflect well on England at all..

Once the Ukraine becomes had-been Ukraine, would the US Congress start an impeachment against Biden? For wasting money, for making the Americans poor, for driving the world to an economic disaster and hunger?
Once Republicans sweep the elections in November they will start investigations of Hunter and Joe and likely initiate impeachment proceedings.
It’s all part of the theatrical performance.

“Secondly, there is the case of Poland, which already has two battalions (approx 1,000 troops?) of lightly-armed infantry who are at present stationed at the transport hub of Pavlodar in central Ukraine. Are they mercenaries or real Polish-NATO troops?”
Actually. such scant information as there has been suggested 2000 troops in armoured vehicles – whatever – but what I find totally astonishing is that nobody “official” is talking about this either to confirm or deny it.
I would have expected the RF to quickly make a major statement about this.
It isn’ the size pf the force nor whether they can change the course of events in Ukraine but rather three important issues.
1) This force represents the first time an outside power has invaded Ukraine on the side of the regime in Kiev.
2) They suddenly seemed to “pop up” in Pavlodar hundreds of miles east of the western chunk of Ukraine Poland claims rights to. What for?
Why are the Russians not commenting?
3) What if they are there to “test the water” and the plan is to gradually increase their size over time especially since – one would deduce – Russia doesn’t seem to mind?
I am amazed that no one from the Russian gov or military has remarked on this development even just to clarify Russia’s position on the matter.
“Pavlodar” – should have been Pavlograd

“However, as they say, the problem with common sense is that it is very rare.”
Gonna throw this in here, last vid is of Ukie POW, tells it like it was, and is…..some other tid bits also, freaking officer left his men and took all their passports……luckily the RF grabbed him. Not good on the Donbas front, if it still exists today.

Yet another informative article, Batiushka! Bravo!
What President Putin needs to do is get on the front foot, i.e. take the initiative, and call a round-table conference of Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania & Moldova – who have cultural, linguistic & historical claims to Ukrainian territory with the view of partitioning it. Critical to RF’s success, agreements made must be on the basis of one-in-all-in .
When we look at history over these last 2 centuries, balkanizing countries is exactly what the power elites in the City of London & the Vatican have done around the world. For instance, consider ‘Gran Colombia’ (now Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Granada & British Guiana) and more recently, the former USSR & the former Jugoslavia (now Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and possibly even Kosovo).
While, on the face of it, Romania, Slovakia & Moldova will resist, does anyone really think that Poland & Hungary, in particular, would pass up the chance to peacefully expand their national territories?
And wouldn’t it be delicious for Putin to invite “the comedian” to the round-table with observer status??? LOL
Although this doesn’t solve the problem of De-Nazification altogether, it does make it someone else’s problem.
And it would go a long way to re-establishing the Slavic brotherhood, would be welcomed by the pro-Russian cohorts in each of the countries – and in the very least would ‘set the cat among the pigeons’ (so to speak).
P.S. As for the Baltic statelets, let the natural attrition of their populations (the ‘brain-drain’) run its natural course. Within a decade or so the remaining populations with lower GDP, i.e. total output of products & services, increased national debts, as they’re no longer monetary sovereign, i.e. issuer of their own currency, (you really do have to wonder at the stupidity of a nation to surrender its monetary sovereignty to the undemocratic European Commission & ECB) and declining standards of living, they will beg to be readmitted to the Slavic brotherhood under the aegis, i.e. the protection, backing & support, of the Russian Federation.
Putin for Bundeskanzler in Berlin, Scholz for jail in Siberia.
I’m surprised at no mention of Georgia. EU talking heads keep mentioning Georgia as a candidate to join the EU. Personally I have the impression that Russia would not allow it. I may be wrong, but it seems that Georgia policy-makers have been tip-toeing lightly lately on a tight rope, trying not to upset Russia, apparently on the ascendant, while at the same time leaving a door open to the EU, apparently on a decline.
It seems that a referendum in South Ossetia to join the Russian federation is scheduled for July 17.
It is three months and Russia is still unable to take Donbass
It would take decades to accomplish what u contemplate
Would the west sit quiet and allow all this
What about a palace coup in Russia. Where does Russia stand without Putin.
The west is not as great a danger to Russia as Russia itself. Its 5th column, liberal intellectuals, US drafted constitution, a corrupt elite with their hearts in London, an independent central bank and a western inspired dumb population are the real danger
The Russian heart is still infected with the western virus. Without curing that, Russia is a one man show. Take note.
Yep. Russia is on the same path we once were in the US. We’ve now been nearly completely overtaken by corrupt liberal intellectuals and the world won’t be getting any help from the US.
(Why oh why didn’t Russia help Trump spill the goods on US corruption??)
And just as an FYI, the western virus is socialism. Know anything about that?
It’s Russia’s chance to help the world. The Donbas is just a sideshow.
According to Russian music Russia is a different culture, more like Europa in the 50-ies.
The Russian population is not dumb and 83% of it is with Putin. If you could see Moskwa or St. Petersburg you would see the same shops as in the west from MacDonalds via Gucci to Ives Saint Laurent. On top of that they students are much better educated.
” If you could see Moskwa or St. Petersburg you would see the same shops as in the west from MacDonalds ”
Why is it we have to compare with the ”west”. Russia is lucky MacDonalds decided to close its chaine in the country.
Lily’s comment illuminates the absolute control of mind share that NATO has over people. Its really shocking to read her comment. Tragic the Liy’s of the world need to realize that their Homeland has worth far more than trivial foreign consumerism. Otherwise they will remain colonial serfs
Russia is not a one man show. That is why your west has being going around the world trying to bully countries to join the racist coalition; to no avail.
Some listen to the daily threats, emanating from their ignorant leaders and take that to mean you are somehow winning. Even when you have completely lost, your MSM will come up with excuses, and some will use that as a reason to bring up more nonsense.
Some say 3 months to show that Russia is loosing, while the entire west struggles with the highest inflation, food and fuel shortages and so much more coming for us. Let me give some a short lesson in history.
Iraq with Dick Cheney and gang backed the Iraq’s in a war with Iran where 2 million people died. Iraq then invaded Kuwait with the full knowledge by America and America /NATO launched their first war against Iraq.
Then it was the next USA/ NATO war where you assembled 200,000 groups with heavy armoury, but waited for 3 whole weeks and thousands (daily) of missiles and bombs, before any one of your 200,000 strong ever set foot in Iraq. It still took you longer than 3 months to fully occupy Iraq. In between your 2 wars USA sanctions caused the death of 1 million Iraqi children.
To keep your foot in Iraq, just like in Syria you fund terrorists (good terrorists) so that you can thief oil, similar to what you just did when you pumped oil from an Iranian tanker off Greece.
Russia has a huge problem with the cleansing of Eastern Ukraine, which is minimizing civilian deaths. Every village and town they take over, humanitarian aid is brought in. It is a slow process. Remember that Ukraine is twice the size of Iraq and since 2014 was being armed to the teeth by USA, for what you see today. They have also been taught to hide behind civilians, especially Russian ones.
Poland and the small Baltics countries are as racist as NATO trained Western Ukraine, and they have large amounts of suppressed ethnic Russians living there. This is the evil key to why they keep uttering daily threats, oblivious to the demise of their standard of living. It is pure hatred.
The western Ukraine funded by the West and the shattered remains is the responsibility of the West. The East is the responsibility of Russia and it will prosper and grow.
Any Polish or all NATO forces that move into western Ukraine will be blown to hell, but that will be after the complete freeing of the Donbass. The Baltics have a slight problem, but due to the intellectual ignorance of it’s leaders believe that due to ethnic Russians living in their country; Russia will never bomb them.
Their problem is that they never trained their army and people to accept their military and NATO forces to shelter in their apartments, schools, hospitals etc..as the Ukrainians were taught to do.
That is why Putin told them” join whoever you want”. But the minute they put NATO troops or missiles pointing at Russia is when they will be completely destroyed. This war in the east will finish very soon contrary to western intelligent opinion.
FYI – the 3 months of battle has been mostly by DPR and LPR militaries along with small contingents of many Allies. Very few RF military have been involved.
‘As the dollar slips on a daily basis, now below even 57 ‘
But according to Google search:
“1 United States Dollar equals
66.27 Russian Ruble”
Whose right?
57 was right about a week ago, but Russian central bank cut interest rates to 11% since then.
Because other currencies are pegged relative to the dollar, do a google search with, say, “value of Ruble” to get the exchange rate. Currently around 66.5. The Ruble is currently in a slow decline. Maybe 57 a few weeks ago.
I suspect Moldova may be next. Ukraine is done, so NATO wants to extend the war to somewhere else. Look at the behavior of that US trained money bitch Maya Sandu. IgorDodon was recently arrested on trumped up charges. Is Moldova about to be ukraine’d by NATO criminals?
Well, to paraphrase Lenin, let’s not get dizzy with success.
Please come to Germany and help us get rid of the crazy and warmongering Nazis in our government and media!
The war is existential and global, people say.
It may be that one function-goal of SMO-404 is unstated, that would be the establishment of “the moral law” within especially Russian speaking people, but also generally and globally. This Moral Law, then would be harnessed to achieve the stated treaty, though the final terms may be less favorable to AZE (see https://mid.ru/ru/foreign_policy/rso/nato/1790818/?lang=en ) and (https://gilbertdoctorow.com/2021/12/19/a-surprise-russian-ultimatum-new-draft-treaties-to-roll-back-nato/ )
“Moral Law” > “The Moral Law causes the people to be in complete accord with their ruler, so that they will follow him regardless of their lives, undismayed by any danger.” (https://suntzusaid.com/book/1) Naturally SMO-404 also moves in other ways the Master has defined…but moral law is vital…”first ya’ gotta git e’rybody on th’ same page.”
Again 404 is but one theater in campaign to achieve the Treaty Goal, and the purposes include the very processes we see daily, establishing the basis for victory and denazification on a global scale.
The germwar trials will add to the strength of the moral law, in west increasing privation and discord will weaken moral law (what there is of it!).
The denazification of 404 is indeed a goal, but denazification was never limited to 404.
A few question arise too> If “the West” were denazified, would there be a west? Does the answer imply that “west” cannot accept the Treaty or denazification? What might that imply about the means and processes to realize the war goal? Altogether, it seems, the Grand Strategy of Russia and China is to create in west a modulated and acceptable “revolution”…a fundamental change in character of west. An abandonment of finance and it’s replacement with husbandry and making useful things. This, then, would satisfy v. Clausewitz’s and Sun Tsu’s visions of war as a process to create a political settlement agreeable to all parties. One does this by creating certain events and a vector of forces.
I posted this talk by an English Bishop> https://youtu.be/L2chRognUbw (“Only VVP stands up to evil…”) This seems to follow the process of creating The Moral Law…evident and expressed even by a British Bishop! Cunning Ruski! Insinuating ideas even into the Church!
Excellent propaganda! And perfectly fitting since everything coming out of Washington, and the West more generally, is nothing but propaganda. But propaganda nonetheless. And that means for real people total bullshit.
Not sure who the audience is for this particular bs but since nobody but pro-Russian folks read this blog, I’m not sure it’s really useful. They were already on your side and need facts and figures in order to see through the western media’s fog of lies.
What would Putin do with this report? Fire the general who delivered it.
Notice that this article comes out AFTER the government approved $40 billion in aid to Ukraine ($5 billion of which may actually go to Ukraine) and most of Europe has depleted their weapons inventories and must now restock.
Mission Accomplished!
Listen how the devil Zelensky shrugs off responsibility for the utter foolish decisions and orders he himself took. https://youtu.be/oxMv7zm1s0c (Use subtitles)
How easily he can shrug off the death of the Ukrainian servicemen and pilots. He is a Jew, while the Ukrainians are Slavs.
” It is rather like intelligence, which is very limited – whereas the capacity for stupidity is utterly unlimited….”
The limited intelligence of some limits the stupidity of others but not necessarily contemporaneously: (if necessary through mutually assured destruction as outlined in current non-first strike nuclear doctrines of the Russian Federation which were updated to include attacks by biological weapons before sending notices of intent to “The United States of America including NATO” in December 2021, and before the beginning of the current Special Military Operation whose implemention has been ongoing since at least February 2022 ); since sole/prime agency is never an option in interactions, including but not limited to initiation by “first strikes”.
War is not limited to things that go bang, but if necessary some bangs can be rendered realisations of “existential threats”.
Though the question that this piece frames is an important one, we may also ask if Russia is already extending this conflict, but in the fourth dimension: time.
By drawing out this conflict, the RF is allowing the other dimensions of this multidimensional war to evolve, which the West seems to be losing now on nearly all fronts.
The information war that the West appeared to be winning is now losing effectiveness even where it was largely uncontested. The financial and economic war reveals the West to be weaker and more fragile than perhaps even the Russian strategists might have hoped.
Time is the extension that Russia seems already to be deliberately deploying against NATO.
“but in the fourth dimension: time.”
That is framed in linear notions of dimensions, hence your linearly based notion “Time is the extension that Russia seems already to be deliberately deploying against NATO.” which inherently encourages/illustrates reliance on paradigms – sometimes known as “copy books”.
“The information war that the West appeared to be winning is now losing effectiveness even where it was largely uncontested. ”
A pertinent observation potentially rendered more pertinent with the addition of the question – Why? – instead of relying on beliefs and/or visions irrespective of which road you are on?
Enjoy your journey.
I would just like to add that from all the research I have done on Poland and Ukraine, there would be little interest from the rest of NATO if Poland got herself into trouble there. This is because many members of NATO don’t really like Poland and want little to do with her.
It is very strange that Ukrainian leadership is willing to cede territory to Poland to keep this conflict going but refuses to negotiate with Russia to end the conflict with the ceding of eastern and southern Ukraine already occupied by Russian Forces.
I have to conclude that the Ukrainian leadership is clinically insane…
The is not an exaggeration to note that the Ukraine leadership has no important ties with the country. Thus surrendering territory isn’t really a problem.
I like your logic.
“This is because many members of NATO don’t really like Poland and want little to do with her.”
You may surely extend this to any nato member multiple times: for example:
French hate Germans in the morning, British in the afternoon, and despise Americans all they long.
Regards, Spiral
No they are not insane. The khazats want their mini empire back.
Russia is a master of restraint, which is good as war is not to their benefit. Much better to let the west destroy itself economically, which they are now doing at an accelerated pace.
Open war with NATO would be open war with the US and will likely lead to nuclear confrontation. Either that or the US will be forced for their own survival to abandon NATO and Europe (assuming optimistically that anyone in a position of power has more than one functioning neuron). My hope is that the EU and NATO fragment and dissolve under economic pressure and civil unrest over the effects of their puppet governments on their populations.
I suspect that once the SMO in Ukraine is complete (whatever that may consist of) and Russia has demonstrated their military prowess that they will once again offer up the draft treaties for rolling back NATO, demilitarizing Europe, and reinstating global arms control agreements that they presented last year.
https://mid.ru/ru/foreign_policy/rso/nato/1790818/?lang=en
https://mid.ru/ru/foreign_policy/rso/nato/1790803/?lang=en
These treaties were a final effort to prevent the SMO. If they are ignored again then the SMO will continue to the next phase, whatever that will be. I suspect that US missile batteries in Romania will be a primary target but am confident that whatever Russia has planned it will be exceedingly effective if they are forced to continue military operations.
Remember: the SMO is NOT against Ukraine – Ukraine is just the first skirmish in a war against the US and NATO. What the next phase will be is anyone’s guess, but it would be foolish to think that Russia is not carefully considering every possible scenario that can be imagined and planning a multitude of responses to them.
1) Regarding the expansion of the operation, I don’t think Poland taking Galicia is a big deal.
It’s almost a given.
And if the Russians were to “own” Ukraine (either directly or as a protectorate), really having rabid anti-Russian populations in Ukraine would not be in anyone’s best interest.
Heck, Hungary should just swallow that little tip of Hungarian-speaking Ukraine west of the Carpathian mountains. Seriously. It’s good for everybody.
2) I do not think this operation will progress further in the *immediate* future. If you recall, there was literally several years of back and forth regarding the Donbass and Crimea before this current operation.
I similarly feel that Russia, in trying to be proper to a fault, will once again begin issuing warnings, dialogues, proposals to the West before attempting any action in the Baltics or Finland.
Bulgaria and Greece will be off-limits to any Russian action. They currently do *not* share a border with those countries, and demanding policy changes after Odessa has been captured is a really bad look internationally.
So those countries are off the table.
Great article.
Hello all,
Russia is very tough to watch. It does what IT wants and not what people think it should do. I really knew nothing constructive about Russia, from an operational perspective, until I began to learn things through long term observation from the Syrian Civil War and Russia´s involvment there. Anybody among us who follows the situation with the intention of just knowing how the ball is rolling, sees what is happening locally and globally because of the SMO in Ukraine. So, I am going to skip all that and go right to what happens next.
Russia has a to do list. What are its´ characteristics? It is exceptionally well thought out and planned. It takes into account relevant military, political, economic and cultural aspects of the equation. It is flexible and scalable ( adjustable is both size and component complexity ). There are always surprizes and Russia has no phobia about encountering those things. All of this is locked tightly together by comminment. So once Russia starts to roll they bring all of it, without stop and all the way until it is over. Period. They don´t do weak tea. …………. And they win, repeatedly.
So, given all of that in my book, where are we? We are at the beginning. Russia has a long list of names, places and factors with no particular end date. Beyond the SMO, there is a very simple, direct and deadly serious intention: Russia is going to go for and attain, what it good for it. Resistence will be swept away before it, in whatever manner that it desires. Diplomacy is in the mix but, not for the trouble makers. The sore points will be elminated ……………. period ……………. in order of importance. And as usual, the targets will never see it coming.
My sense of it is that Russia does not enjoy playing the heavy, the one who needs to bring the hammer and make the correct attitude adjustments. Russians seem to love the joys of life; their families, music, singing, art, sports, cuisine, ect. They don´t like the killing, destruction but, by God Almighty if the other side really wants it, they are going to feel it right to the bone until they lose their minds in agony, during the process of their destruction. Even in this, if there is a true change of behavior and preferably heart, there is always a chance to try for redemption. They never give up on humanity but, always are driven to chose what logic demands.
So, if people want to keep spreading the mayo, stirring the pot, go right ahead M…Fers. After the SMO objectives as stated, have been completed, somebody is going to be next, if they keep asking for it. The West is exactly where Russia wants it to be, to the last detail.
My take, I am staying tuned. I wish well to all.
I like this guy!
” However, as they say, the problem with common sense is that it is very rare. It is rather like intelligence, which is very limited – whereas the capacity for stupidity is utterly unlimited….”
Indeed, common sense is not common. It is, in fact, extremely rare.
Interestingly, in Russian and Polish, for instance, “common sense” is called “healthy (zdrowy, zdrawyj) sense”, certainly not common.
A brilliant analysis by Batiushka, although I don’t think Russia would want to extend its military operations to NATO countries. Russia could still win, but the cost could be too high–politically and economically, in particular.
re: “the capacity for stupidity is utterly unlimited”
What you have in the U.S. is a ruling class that moves through a revolving door between government and the industries they are supposed to regulate. So instead of the government making sober judgments about what is in the best interest of the American people, you have a bunch of greedheads who want nothing more than to line their own pockets and keep the gravy train rolling. We saw this clearly illustrated during the Covid “pandemic”, where Big Pharma, via the CDC and FDA, was able to successfully shut down any treatment of Covid with known cheap and effective drugs like Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine in favor of the exclusive use of their experimental gene therapy drugs disguised as vaccines (1). The CDC even had to change the very definition of vaccines in order to accommodate these drugs, which not only did not prevent infection but didn’t prevent transmission (The answer? Endless boosters!).
In the case of the military-industrial complex, they haven’t had a real reason to exist since WWII, so rather than the WWII allies the U.S. and Soviet Union cooperating peacefully as FDR had hoped, the “cold war” was concocted by Truman and Co. and the profits flowed as the U.S. became a totally militarized economy, now spending 10x on its military what the next 9 countries combined do. (JFK wanted to end this but the men in the shadows took care of him.) When you have made yourself into the world’s biggest hammer everything looks like a nail, so since WWII we’ve had wars from Korea to Vietnam to Central America to the Middle East and Afghanistan. Never mind the millions of human beings killed, maimed and displaced as a result of these crimes, it’s all about the TRILLIONS of $ flowing into the hands of the MIC. Hey, people have been killed for a lot less.
With the collapse of the USSR, there was no need for a giant military or NATO, so there was briefly a period where there was talk of a “peace dividend” since there was no more “enemy”. Well, that went right out the window when “we were attacked” (gee, what a surprise) on 9/11 by a handful of “terrorists” who couldn’t fly a Piper Cub but managed to guide sophisticated commercial aircraft to precision strikes against buildings, all while our massive military was asleep at the wheel. This resulted not in heads rolling but the biggest increase in military spending in a generation, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the curtailing of civil liberties at home, and the rise of the surveillance state.
With those wars now ended (after TRILLIONS of $ more was expended on the MIC), what was the war industry supposed to do? Find honest, productive work?
Nope.
Ukraine is now the substitute money trough for the 20-year long gravy train that ended when our vaunted military hightailed it out of Afghanistan, leaving behind tens of billions of $ of equipment. There is no way the MIC wants peace in Ukraine; indeed, the neocon morons who have been consistently wrong about everything would love it to devolve into WWIII. Like the greedy idiots they are, they think they can control it so as to maximize profits while bleeding Russia dry so they can break it up into manageable chunks and plunder its wealth as they lather, rinse, repeat their way into China. Never mind the carnage in Europe, both economically and human. As General Tommy Franks famously said, “We don’t do body counts.”.
The “monkey in the wrench”, as John McClane put it in ‘Die Hard’, is the economic turmoil this is causing at home. Americans will put up with foreign wars only as long as it doesn’t cost them anything. The lesson the Pentagon learned in Vietnam was don’t draft American youth and you can have all-you-can-eat as far as foreign wars with a “volunteer” force (those poor, deluded saps). Well, with Ukraine, for the first time since Vietnam, regular Americans are involuntarily paying the price for the MICs money machine. The problem is, both Republicans and Democrats support sending bazillions more $ to keep the Ukraine war going, since they are both owned by the same MIC. But we are at a breaking point economically and Americans are feeling it big time and not liking it one bit. We shall see whether this pain translates into any change in direction, but I fear that the ratcheting up of the pain will need to be even more extreme before the torches and pitchforks come out. In the mean time, the aforementioned greedheads will continue lapping up the $ flowing into Ukraine and NATO and pushing for more, more, MORE war! They are even floating the idea that, hey, nuclear war wouldn’t be so bad, really…
May God help us all.
(1) Read RFK’s book, ‘The Real Anthony Fauci’.
“With the collapse of the USSR, there was no need for a giant military or NATO”
You apparently don’t understand – what are “The United States of America”, and how are they facilitated.
NATO was designed to be and has always been, a force multiplier of “persuaders” of “The United States of America” whose efforts of persuasion were not restricted to “The Soviet Union”.
The nonsense of the slogan to keep Germany down, “America” in, and “The Soviet Union” out, was only ever window dressing enabling useful foolery since from inception the perceived fields of interest were not restricted to the North Atlantic, although at different moments in lateral processes implementation of strategies in perceived fields of interest were restricted. Hence as a function of facility NATO has always been expanding not restricted to geographically.
NATO has always been a component of “The United States of America” and is still held by some to be necessary as force multipliers of “persuaders” of “The United States of America” in addition to other tools of coercion, the “over-reactions” in seeking to sustain such status being vectors to frustrate such purpose.
re: NATO has always been a component of “The United States of America”…
I fully understand what is the real purpose of NATO. I was referring to what was its publicly stated raison d’etre, which was to counter the Warsaw Pact during the Cold War. Since the Warsaw Pact was dissolved with the fall of the USSR, it should have meant no more need for NATO. But of course that didn’t happen, which exposed the real reason for its existence, as evidenced in how it has been used after the collapse of the USSR.

Great questions and admission of uncertainty. The SMO is just a part of the big war waged on many fronts along major energy corridors, imho. On the military and “police-intel” fronts Russia will probably have to act on destructuring, neonazi european states at its borders.
In related news it is heartwarming to see fanatics behind bars, guarded by comrades from DNR. Thanks God Almighty, Alhamdulillah, Спасибо Боже.
Sorry folks, here is a link to the DPR justice minister Yuri Sirovatko, interviewed in front of the caged low IQ neonazis used by the Empire of Chaos and the Europeans. https://www.bitchute.com/video/My7QlWaAeNTm/
In the area of the settlement of Dneprovskoe, Mykolaiv region, the Ukrainian center of electronic intelligence was destroyed, including 11 military personnel of the combat crew, as well as 15 foreign specialists who arrived with the protection of engineering and operational staff.
Who might be this 15 foreign specialists?
https://askeptic.substack.com/p/daily-report-from-the-ukraine-field-966?s=w
This just keeps getting worse for Ukraine. Even western media is beginning to admit it.
Can we make conclusion that one of the main reason of slow progress of SMO is to have time enough for Russia to shake the core of western economic and monetary system + do destroy Ukro modern fascist infrastructure to wage war.
I’d like to know if Russia was/is serious about denazifing Ukraine, how they thought/think it could be done any way but by liberating all of Ukraine. Can you imagine the Soviets negotiating a deal with the Third Reich’s government to “denazify” Germany. How can the current Russian government imagine they can make a deal with the nazi infested Zelensky regime to denazify the country.
It can’t be done by that regime even if they promised to do it. They might fire a few people, even arrest a few for show. And say “see Russia” we’ve done it. But without a long term massive purging of the entire societal culture of the country, nazism with continue as a force there. And as soon as Russia turns away it will come out of the shadows again and resume its current shape in the country.
Could it be that, as Russia must surely be aware of all that. And some of the statements coming out from lower ranked officials in Russia, show that at least they recognize that problem. Then possibly the negotiating is just merely a ruse to buy time to compel the complete surrender of Ukraine. Or for the SMO to run its course for a full liberation to be completed.Let us all hope that is the plan. And they really aren’t foolish enough to accept any tricks from the Kiev regime.
As for some other points in the article,I see some excellent propaganda possibilities for Russia if they seize on them.
1. Before the maidan ,the hatred for Poland among the natsik/fascist/neo-nazi extremists in Ukraine was split between hating Poles and Russians (especially in West Ukraine). I think Russian information specialists (i.e. propagandists) need to harp on the Zelensky regime selling out Ukraine to Poles. And push the brief that Poland wants West Ukraine back. Explain what that means for Ukrainians living there. It means that hundreds of thousands of Poles and their descendants that lost property in Galizia after WW2, would by law be able to reclaim it,or force compensation for it from the current Ukrainian owners of that property. I don’t believe the West Ukrainians have thought about that (though the Poles may have) idea they might lose their properties. Especially
since Lvov,Lviv,Lwow, and some other cities ,were over 50% Polish before WW2. A lot of those cities would be up for the taking (no my heart doesn’t bleed over that, lol). Sowing some strife between two groups of enemies can be a plus for Russia in my opinion.
2. After the successful conclusion of the full SMO there will need to be a reckoning with the 3 Baltic hyenas. But hopefully not until the SMO is complete. In the meantime though, they (and Poland) need it explained to them that any attack on Kaliningrad by them would be a fatal mistake. And NATO or no NATO punishment for them would be swift and lethal. While it’s true they are stupid, hopefully they aren’t that stupid.
3. Moldova has made several bad moves lately. Banning the St George’s Ribbon angered a lot of people in Moldova. That move and the regime’s cozying up to Romania and NATO/EU is setting off alarm bells among the ethnic minorites, especially the Gagauz. Who distrust the Romanians, have an autonomous republic inside Moldova. And whose acceptance of being a part of Moldova was conditional on the right to independence if Moldova joined another state. And now the latest, the arrest of the ex-president and head of the opposition party (who happens to be move friendly with Russia). It’s to early to see how that will turn out,but crowds of his party supporters are starting to protest already. All in all there may need to be a reckoning there as well soon.
A good interview that to me shows we may be off the mark in thinking Scott Ritter has somehow been “turned”. Interestingly enough the interviewer is not someone I would have expected to be airing these views of Scott’s :

The real curse of ruble is most likely something like 1 dollar = 20-25 rubles. GDP-PPP of Russia is around 2,5 times bigger than nominal GDP.

I already put in my request to President Putin to Denazify and Demilitarize (even more than they are now by having the US/NATO send their equip AND MEN into the cauldrons of the Ukraine to be destroyed), the US after he finishes with the UK/EU. NATO is already a party to the war by supplying so many weapons and men to the war… they are at war with Russia, while Russia hasn’t even fully opened a war with NATO.
Wait for it. I don’t need a rush job, but pls, for the 3rd time in the US’ history, save the population, no not from foreign adversaries, but the enemy within this time.
Batiushka wrote today,,
“Conclusion: Common Sense or….
Naturally, we cannot say what will happen.”
Uh huh, here is what I perceive.
I see a large enclosed blood-filled vessel and underneath, a huge flaming pit heats it to a constant boil.
The vessel is the Ukraine, the pit is stoked by NATO-Europe and the fuel to fire the pit comes from the U.S.
I’ve written a couple of detailed comments since March 5 about what I strongly believe will occur due to the fact there is nothing that will stop the U.S. from its plan to subjugate the Russian Federation militarily and economically. There is no pause, no intermission, no lapse and no objection by the American people to its progress.
Today its reported the Biden Administration is going to send long-range ground-to-ground missile systems (MLRS) to Ukraine to add more fuel to the fire pit.
See: https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/26/politics/us-long-range-rockets-ukraine-mlrs/index.html )
A new American general (Cavoli) is being confirmed by the U.S. Senate to be the next NATO Supreme Allied Commander. I imagine the Russian SVR is paying very close attention to the transcript of the hearing and learning the tone and intent of this general regarding Ukraine.
See: https://www.c-span.org/video/?520453-1/confirmation-hearing-top-nato-commander-nominee .
And so it continues, step by step by step.
My tautology is annoying and I apologize to the Vineyard community but there is no path to peace for Russia. She will have to ultimately destroy the American war machine on its soil because its the only option left to secure the safety, security and survival of the Russian Federation.
Note that the new Nato Commander “rely on our Allies”. They imagine the whole WWIII scenario take place in Europe far from US. The old Barbarossa strategy dusted off from the shelves again.
“…an invitation to Polish forces to enter and take over several provinces of western Ukraine,
which the Polish authorities have coveted for centuries…” The provinces of Wolyn, Stanislawow
and Tarnopol were part of the Kingdom of Poland in union with the Principality of Lithuania for
centuries. Therefore the were not ‘coveted for centuries’. UPA and Ruthenian (‘Ukrainian’)
neighbors barbarically slaughtered not only Russians, Hungarians and Jews but also hundreds of
thousands of the Polish rural poopulation (Victor Poliszczuk: “Bitter Truth: A Confession of A
Ukrainian” and books by Siemaszko). Lwow, Tarnopol and Stanislawow (Ivano-Frankivsk) are cities
founded and built by Poles. Even the Ukrainian colors, blue and yellow, are colors of the
Pszczyna (Pless) Piast princes (
upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/71/POL_Pszczyna_COA.svg/206px-
POL_Pszczyna_COA.svg.png ) A sizable part of Polish patriots would rather see Poland in alliance
with RF but they state that powerful forces prevent it.
Putin would be seen as a Western appeaser if he didn’t include all the Black Sea coast including Odessa in negotiations.
Putin has spent to much Russian blood and money not to…Odessa is to big to attack without costing many lives and equipment so a negotiated neutral city with a Russian controlled port that guarantees no NATO re-armament.
Russia should also demand arms inspectors in Ukraine on a constant base.
If you are the victor then you call the shots.
Russia can then concentrate its energies on the financial war with the U.S and splitting NATO…the most obvious target is Turkey since that governments relationship with NATO is not good and they are in financial difficulties, that will drain the U.S of money if they want to keep Turkey.
there is serious mission creep on all sides, this will result in WW3 and in so much mission creep , people will forget the reason why they started WW3 and then at some point the war will just stop. But by that time there will be no more EU or NATO.
“Let us recall that the three aims were, firstly, the liberation of the Russian Donbass from the Nazis, and, secondly and thirdly, the demilitarisation and denazification of the Ukraine as an ‘Anti-Russia’, created there by the West since 2014. In other words, the Russian aim was to finish the unfinished World War II against Nazism and definitely not trigger a ‘World War III’.“
There was a really great chance of WW III, when a few pseudo experts proposed a no fly zone for Ukraine. If more missiles were definitely given to the neighbours, it would truly become the Cuban Missile Crisis in reverse. Russia would likely respond as Batiushka suggests. It’s only common sense about exceedingly bad common sense.
CIA Vets McGovern & Kiriakou: It’s Scoundrel Time Back in the USA
May 20, 2022
Critics of the West’s role in the Ukraine war, such as CIA veterans Ray McGovern and John Kiriakou, are being ostracized from the American media landscape.
https://scheerpost.com/2022/05/20/ray-mcgovern-john-kiriakou-its-scoundrel-time-in-the-good-ol-usa/
Ray McGovern (31:42):
It is the cornerstone and that’s why they are beating the drums for war. The naive sophomores that are working for Biden don’t seem to realize what nuclear war would amount to, and that’s the real danger here. We can see that in the testimony of the top intelligence leaders who say, “Oh, we don’t want a nuclear war. Putin might resort to nuclear weapons if his back is up against the wall.” Conclusion, Putin’s backed up against the wall. That policy conclusion is crazy and it makes me very worried.
What’s the status of the 2 Polish battalions in Pavlohrad?
Fear not.
God has given us, Brandon, Blinking, the Admin Admiral and the Stolen Burger. (Boris is the free steak knives). The all dancing, all singing, ladies are too numerous to list. However the mass murderers, past and present are stand-outs. Amen
While we are happy for the way the SMO is freeing nazi controlled territory. Let’s not forget the cost of that for brave heroes:
Daniil Bezsonov on his channel posted a post in memory of the reconnaissance sniper Alexander Kislinsky.
“Today, a brave warrior and hero, Senior Scout-Sniper of the Special Forces of the RF Armed Forces Alexander Kislinsky, was buried in his small homeland. Alexander died while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk direction. He died not just in the fight against Nazism… He died defending the Russian people and the Russian land.
“… My grandfathers did not finish off this fascist scum, so we will finish them off! ..”
During his participation in this war, Alexander quickly became a very effective combat unit, causing significant damage to the enemy. Being a harsh opponent for the enemy, he was an extremely kind and sympathetic person for his own. And he died, covering his own.
Sleep well, hero! You are now in a better world. There is no death! We are working!” he wrote.

3 Aims; Demilitarization. First day of the war (Pepe). For the West, that was more stunning than “shock & awe”. Many C&C centers were disabled in a day. 90 days on, many videos of appeals for surrender from the troops amid the absence of the commanders, not from the front-lines, from the danger zones. The will to fight is gone, that was intended…
Liberation. To liberate the territories of the new republics. In Popasnaya “Our fighters found the key and opened the door” (R. Kadirov) Now it seems as if opening levies that can burst and flood in many directions and who knows, there can be many liberations…
Before going into the “third aim” I realize, for those concerned with the intentions behind every move in the ground by the Russian planers, the President as the commander, said it in plain words, the 3 aims, speculation was only a lot of bad aimed spoilers…
Denazification. Since we are in place, Saker on his latest update mentioned that the west needs to denasify!. I agree, that is the reality….(To be continued…)
Hopefully Russia will extend the SMO and realize half work is double trouble and go it to the end.
At least take back half Germany again and kick arse out in Poland and Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, and clean up Balticum. Practible and possible.
It would be good for the world if Russia also took control of Greece and did it to Lisbon. But this is another dream.
If, as threatened, Nato supplies Ukraine with Harpoon anti-ship missiles then Russia will need to take the entire Black Sea coast in order to protect its fleet.
Supply of Harpoons will virtually guarantee Ukraine loses more territory.
RT must be slipping, they actually printed an excellent pro-Russian article explaining the history of the Ukrainian and Russian unity:
Egor Kholmogorov: The intertwined roots of history explain why Russia can’t let go of Ukraine
https://www.rt.com/russia/556073-russians-never-let-go-ukraine/
Ukraine and Russia have a lot of intervened history also in ancient churches and orthodox. RI has a pleasant article about it too. https://russia-insider.com/en/1000-years-christianity-ukraine-exploring-kiev-caves-grand-monastery/ri26970
The United States under the Biden freak show is circling the drain. It hopes to save itself by conquering Russia via Ukraine. Given that Ukraine is disintegrating of its own accord, with large numbers of its soldiers suffering from plummeting morale and other terminal problems, the predators running the U.S. behind the scenes think that by introducing long-range rocket systems into Zelenskyy’s operation, they will be able to destroy Moscow physically and subjugate Russia as they did Europe and Japan, thereby staving off the fate of America for a few more years.
Fate, however, may not be so compliant.
The exposure of the conflict with Kiev to become before year end the third World War seems to me real. Cutting off Odessa from Ukraine would make useless the plan to send an armada in the Black to allow Kiew to export its grain through Odessa. Yet I think that Kissinger is wright when he said that should this conflict last until October, then it might easily degenerate into a WW.
Nobody can send a single warship, let alone an ‘armada’ in the Black Sea because of the Montreux Convention.
You just need the agreement of Erdogan.
Erdogan is bound by the Convention too.
Ukronazis obtained a victory.
”The Moscow branch of Kyiv’s Orthodox Church said Friday it was cutting ties with Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, declaring “full independence” in a historic move against Russia’s spiritual authorities.
“We disagree with the position of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow… on the war,” the church said in a statement after holding a council focused on Russia’s “aggression” where it declared the “full independence and autonomy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church”.
Hundreds of its priests signed an open letter in recent weeks calling for Kirill to face a religious tribunal over the war.”
The saddest aspect is that, not only that it fell in schism and immediately started to attack churches and priests and parishioners of the canonical church, but it did that cursing the Patriarch Kirill.
Kyiv priests are ready to merge with the schismatic “Orthodox Church of Ukraine”. Would be too farfetched to fear that, in the name of ‘national unity’, they are ready to merge with the Uniate ‘church’?
I can see the logic from a Russian nationalist viewpoint, however this is suggesting restoring the USSR by force.
The war party will escalate escalate escalate and expand expand expand. The war party always makes billions off foreign policy chaos and destruction. This is despite failure after failure after failure over the last 30 years. The only way to stop the war party from escalating is for the war party to no longer benefit from chaos and destruction.
So the key question is how to make escalation painful personally for the leaders of the war party ?
“The war party will escalate escalate escalate and expand expand expand.”
Like many spectators you conflate attempt with achievement as a function of “socialisation” encouraged framing.
That is very useful in facilitating opportunities for some and complicities as “force multipliers” of others in their own transcendence.
” The only way to stop the war party from escalating is for the war party to no longer benefit from chaos and destruction. So the key question is how to make escalation painful personally for the leaders of the war party ?”
You are consequently “mistaken” even whilst being already taken, since various forms of “encouragement” including silence facilitates over-extension, particularly with those who believe/hope their penises are better/bigger/wider than the penises of others.
как можно было сделать демилитаризацию и денацификацию Украины как «антироссии»
без занятия ее территории ???
Теперь только и осталось выдумывать оправдания тому что неумелые и ничем не мотивированные российские войска застряли в Украине на долгое время
