Yemen is a mess, and if Iraq can’t eliminate the Saudi/Israel/JUSA occupation on its land, how does this new killing by Trump change anything? It doesn’t, it’s like more circus, all created by MSM just like the Trump Reality Show.

I heard a military analyst interviewed last evening regarding events occurring in the middle east. I haven’t heard anything from him in a long time. If he is correct, while not much of a surprise, is very bad news nonetheless.
First, he believes the deep state is setting upTrump the not so great to take the blame for a disaster. Trump is a political no nothing so when he tweets about attacking 52 heritage sites, that is being fed to him. His arrogance will do the rest of the damage to himself. Skousen believes Trump is too unpredictable so they will get rid of two problems in one go: Trump and Iran.
He believes this is all going down within the next month. Expect a precipitating event such as the sinking of a destroyer, to be blamed on Iran. Likely this will be done by Israel. He does not think there will be an attempted and invasion at this time. They will bomb the living crap out of the country and it is going to become a very big and bloody mess. He believes they will eventually overcome Iran and Russia will not intervene because they are not ready. It was Saudi Arabia who set up General Soleimani by saying they had a proposal and setting up when to meet.
The empire will have another imperial trophy. I don’t know what will be left of Iran but no doubt the oil fields will still be there. And the world is stuck with the empire of evil.

For your information, I’m not whining. I’m repeating the comments from someone who is a military analyst. I’m only interested in facts, not fairytale hopey, changy, U.S.A. rah, rah chants from the exceptional people. You say things are improving in the U.S.? The country is circling the drain. Certainly economically. Certainly morally.
There is no way the U.S. has any intention of leaving Iraq or anywhere else. What are you going to say when they blame Iran for any event and use it as an excuse to start their bombing? What will you say then? Those nasty Iranian terrorists? I forgot Americans don’t need proof.
As for me personally, I couldn’t possibly have a more hopeful outlook, but not for this world. I’m just passing through. But I don’t like seeing people hurt and suffer from the evil deeds of psychopathic ‘leaders’.

IMO this is a wonderful insight into the utterly complicated dynamics of the tinderbox that the situation in Iran and Iraq has become.
Conflict in the ME has traditionally almost always been about oil [and of course Israel]. This situation is different. It is partially about oil and Israel, but OVERWHWHEMINGLY it is about the BRI.
The salient factor as I see it is the Oil for Technology initiative that Iraq signed with China shortly before it slid into this current mess.
This was a mechanism whereby China would buy Iraq oil and these funds would be used directly to fund infrastructure and self-sufficiency initiatives and technologies that would help to drag Iraq out of the complete disaster that the US war had created in this country. A key part of this would be that China would also make extra loans available at the same time to speed up this development.
In essence, this would enable the direct and efficient linking of of Iraq into the BRI project. Going forward the economic gains and the political stability that could come out of this would be a completely new paradigm in the recovery of Iraq both economically and politically. Iraq is essential for a major part of the dynamics of the BRI because of its strategic location and the fact that it could form a major hub in the overall network.
It absolutely goes without saying that the AAA would do everything the could to wreck this plan. This is their playbook and is exactly what they have done. The moronic and extraordinarily impulsive Trump subsequently was easily duped into being a wiiling and idiotic accomplice in this plan.
The positive in all of this is that this whole scheme will backfire spectacularly for the perpetrators and will more than likely now speed up the whole process in getting Iraq back on track and working towards stability and prosperity.
Please don’t anyone try to claim that Trump is part of any grand plan…nothing could be further from the truth…he is nothing more than a bludgeoning imbecile foundering around, lashing out impulsively indiscriminately. He is completely oblivious and ignorant as to the real picture.
I urge everyone involved in this Saker site to put aside an hour and to listen very carefully to Askary’s insights. This is extremely important and could bring more clarity to understanding the situation than just about everything else you have read put together. There is hope, and Askary highlights the huge stakes that both Russia and China have in the region.
This is a no brainer. This is the time for both Russia and China to act and to decisively. They must cooperate in assisting both Iraq and Iran to extract themselves from the current quagmire…the one that the vicious Hegemon so cruelly and thoughtlessly tossed them into.

The US Military has an operational upper hand, especially now that both the Quds Force and Iraqi PMF lost their deeply experienced leadership.
The US will exert pressure and corruption to sway the Iraqi government. Until Baghdad is burning, nothing will change.
Missiles will have to fall on US bases in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and on Saudi and other Gulf State bases.
Of course, the roads and highways linking the bases and the major cities and airfields will be mined with IEDs. But tactically, a significant blood-letting of US troops can only be affected with missiles and armed drone swarms.
Where we will see the most damage done to the US is in Afghanistan. The Taliban, on the ascendancy, will gladly take all the missiles, drones and munitions Iran can pipeline to the enemies of the US and NATO. A significant number of MANPADS surely will reach them soon. The US cannot remain in Afghanistan without air logistics. It barely can move beyond its bases without air cover.
The best use of Iran’s military assets will be to assist the Taliban. The goal is to get the US out and to bleed it as badly in the process. The Taliban will work for free to achieve those goals.
So will millions of Americans…..work for free for that…in smaller ways….and not just the many here, including you and I and practically everyone else here of American citizenship that has nothing but disgust for the Empire Model.
Just as I won’t be too shocked if Trump has been trapped and is taken down by the Empire….I would counsel people to not be too shocked if he survives not just Russiagate (that one is in the bag….practically), Fake Impeachment (Ditto) and completes a second term….lets NATO fall apart, gets out of the Middle East entirely.
