Rays Volk Mesh

The original Volk was this three-piece mesh wheel.  Originally launched in 1976, the wheel remained in production for more than a decade, under going minor name changes along the way.  Originally dubbed the “Three-Piece Mesh” then simply the “Mesh”, by 1980 there was a “Rally” version that came in only 13 5.5J size, and a “Race” version, not available with centre cap, and offering some massive widths.

At 5.0kg for 14 6J the Volk Mesh basically set the standard for what a lightweight Kyusha Shoe is.  With a long period of production, and a huge range of sizes available, this wheel is not terribly uncommon today, but it is still truly a classic.
