Russian TV is reporting that according to unnamed sources Mubarak is now in a coma. As soon as I heard that, I began suspecting that he was killed by somebody in the security or military. Indeed, on Thursday evening he categorically refused to leave power, and yet he stepped down the very next day, though unlike all the other announcement which he delivered personally, this one was delivered by Suleiman.

What did Suleiman EXACTLY say? Has Mubarak resigned and left the country in the hands of the military’s Supreme Council (as al-Jazeera translated it) or is the real power still in Vice-President Suleiman’s hands? Is Suleiman gone too? Thanks!
Finally! Al-Jazeera has announced that Mubarak stepped down. This is a ABSOLUTELY HUGE moral victory for the Egyptian people and a major joy for all those worldwide who oppose the USraelian Empire. Now, on a note of caution, Mubarak gone does not mean regime change yet. Hopefully, the people of Egypt will now press their advantage and give the boot to Suleiman and the rest of them!

I have just listened to Mubarak addressing the Egyptian nation on al-Jazeera. Since this morning there were plenty of rumors that the guy would finally quit. Al-Jazeera showed amazing images. On the left side of the screen, Mubarak was listing all his (assumed) qualities. On the right the people at Tahrir square (fully packed) were screaming from the top of their lungs “he shall leave!”.
