Source: Sonar 2050 – В России состоялась «крылатая революция»
Translated by Sasha and subtitled by Leo.
As it usually happens in Russia, the most important information passes unnoticed. This time too only specialists noted that Russia has achieved a truly revolutionary progress in the field of missile arms, which allows us to review our defeat in the technological race on one of the important fronts of the Cold War. Details to follow.
“The Result Is Impressive”
The March 1983 introduction of BGM-109 Tomahawk to the American arsenal marked the arrival of a new epoch. Although cruise missiles had existed since the mid 70s, the Tomahawk was first to ‘learn’ to fly at a then fantastic distance of 5,500 km and to carry a nuclear payload. The United States imposed a missile arms race on the Soviet Union and won it. Just 32 ‘Los Angeles’ nuclear submarines carried 384 ‘Tomahawks’, while the surface ships had another 3,600 missiles.
The USSR looked rather pale against this background. Our cruise missiles were mostly designed to attack surface vessels and were carried by the strategic bombers. Since such aircraft could carry only a limited amount of missiles and there were only 76 of them, we could launch no more than 600 cruise missiles at a time. Not many. But within the framework of the general war strategy this level was regarded as sufficient.
A victory in Europe was supposed to be achieved on dry land, where tanks and artillery decided the battle. As for the destruction of the enemy on the other side of the Atlantic, the intercontinental nuclear missiles were to do the job. However in the beginning of the 21st century, it became apparent that the world and the character of the battlefield have changed significantly. Cruise missiles became a necessity, and in 2011 the Russian military was given a task to increase the missile count 30 fold.
“The Breakthrough”
The development followed two directions: the perfection of the missiles and the diversification of their carriers. The first one lead to the creation of products Kh-55, Kh-101 and ZM-54 ‘Kalibr’. [Ed. – Usually called 3M-54. The Cyrillic letter ‘3’ is the Latin ‘Z’.] The second one considerably changed the types and the count of the carriers. Specifically, the TU-95MS16 is now capable of carrying 6 cruise missiles in its internal bay and 10 on the external consoles. However, since the overall number of strategic bombers is limited by international treaties, their share in the salvo has increased only marginally, to 768 missiles.
The situation is very different in the navy. While in 2010 it didn’t have vessels carrying cruise missiles, in 2014 the MRK ‘Dagestan’ with 8 ‘Kalibr’ missiles appeared in the Caspian Sea. Next another 5 ships like that were built. This was followed by the ‘Buyan-M’ and ‘Karakurt’, the new frigates like the Project 22350 and the deeply modernized ships like BPK ‘Marshal Shaposhnikov’. The submariners picked up the baton, having ‘calibrated’ all the ‘Varshavyankas’ and the ‘Ladas’, the ‘Antheuses’ and the ‘Shchukas’. Even the not so modern Project 877 ‘Paltus’ submarines, upon their modernization, receive 18 ‘Kalibrs’ each, which raised the size of the navy’s salvo to over 1000 cruise missiles.
This way in autumn of 2020, along with the ground forces ‘Iskander’ systems capable of carrying 2-4 cruise missiles, the overall Russian salvo already exceeds 2,350 missiles. Nominally it is still less than what is available to the USA. However, firstly, the combat effectiveness of the newest Russian missiles surpass by far that of the old American ‘Tomahawks’, and secondly, let us remember that back in 2010 the Russian salvo had only 600 missiles. So the progress in the course of 10 years is truly revolutionary. And who said that we want to stop there.
Welcoming and enlightening news indeed, Comrades!!
However, I regret to inform you that US commander Admiral Philip Davidson, begs to differ with your lucid appraisal. As head of Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) he asked for the annual budget to more than double to $4.7 billion, for a total of $27.4 billion by 2027. (Sputniknews.com)
This is mainly to counter all your nasty suppa-duppa Sovietski/Putinski/Commie raketski !!
Sir-Lord-´´the sun shines out my arse´´ & soon to be knighted Philip Davidson, has only recently just received the title of “Old Salt,” … yes dear reader, for the longest serving naval officer.
Furthermore Admiral Davidson has the following metal dingly-danglies pinned to his left bosom:-
– Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia)
– Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait)
– Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal
– Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation with “O” Device….
(please note this “0“device does not refer to burst condoms from his illustrious whoring naval ratings, but is in fact a topski-secretski Boeing 737 Max 2018 guidance system for the over-tested and misguided Tomo-squawk missile system!!!)
In addition, ´´Old´´ Salt Philip Davidson has a Bachelor of Science in PHYSICS….beware Ivan, we Anglos are smarter than smart!!!
In fact on March 5 2020, Admiral Philip Davidson was so incredibly smart that he ordered the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt to conduct its long-scheduled R&R whoring and boozing visit to Da Nang, Vietnam (happy memories, what!!!).
With the result that 600 ratings supposedly tested positive for CORONAVIRUS, 4000 evacuated from the ship and one actually kicking the bucket!!! (deadski..from STD, OD, or a chronic hangover is not specified..)
No matter…you Russkies are formally warned..the Navy is back in the best Lord Nelson tradition.
Furthermore, the most modern and fearsome Angleski aircraft carrier HMS Queenie Lizzie (not a drag queen…) will be joining the US Navy at INDOPACOM soonest..
First, a few minor hiccups, we just have to find a few more flyable aeroplanes to put on the flight deck together with the **still-to-arrive** Kamikazi F-35s, repair the steam catapult systems, fix up the leaking engine rooms, find enough ocean going overweight ´nerds´ to service the Windows operating systems etc.,
But most importantly, to replenish the Condom Dispensers with Durex natural rubbers approved and tested by Prince Andrew (none of this undersized recycled synthetic ´Made in China´ crap!!). As, the first port of call, of course, will be Pattaya (Thailand) where another virtually non-operational Thai aircraft carrier HTMS Chakri Naruebet with antiquated Hawker Harrier BUMP & DUMP jets and Sea Kings helicopters, minus rotors, will be joining the mighty INDOPACOM fleet..
In conclusion, perhaps you Russkies kid yourselves with ´´the most important information passes unnoticed´´- but for we Anglo-Zionists it is simply:
´´the most important DISINFORMATION passes noticed and embedded !!??.“
Bon weekend tout le monde…
svenro
Yes, ´´the most important DISINFORMATION passes noticed and embedded !!??.“ Disinformation replaces information. When Trump ordered that attack against that Syrian airfield, the US Navy fired two salvos of Tomahawks, each of 30 missiles. The first salvo saw one Tomahawk misfire, while the remaining 29 Tomahawks were intercepted by the Russian Khirbiny electronic jamming system. Not one missile struck the airfield, only the desert. The US Navy then fired a second salvo. The Russians did not engage the Khirbiny electronic jamming system during this second wave, and the conclusion was that they wanted to see the efficiency of the Tomahawks. Most of the missiles of the second wave struck the ground around the runways, or villages, killing civilians. A few struck two hangers, destroying a few old aircraft kept there for maintenance. The airfield as back in operation within 24 hours.
The Tomahawk is now out of date. The US used it against the Bosnian Serbs in the 1990’s, trying to hit civilian infrastructure. Three Tomahawks struck farms, and failed to explode, as they actually struck hay or mud. The Bosnian Serbs sent the captured Tomahawks to the Russians, who of course made a full analysis of the same, no doubt introducing counter measures. Russian cruise missiles are now probably the best in the world, their efficiency proven in Syria.
The purpose of the salvos was to order more at 10 times the price.
You Sir,(Mam, Miss, It, Her, She….at infinitum) are out of order and as such – consider yourselcancelled. How dare You discredit the Navy consisting of the most diverse set of bipeds the universe has ever witnessed?
Have You no shame???
If I was not worried about being reported about misgendering You, I would report You to my local Kovid-Reduction-Center for a mind-scan and revocation of travel documents.
da harra…outrage squared.
Am I alone in this??? Comrades in arms…are you awake? where are you?
That video seems to carry very little interesting information. Some numbers, to the effect of having “more”. But the “revolution” sounds, at least in the video, more like “catch-up”.
It was rather more like “leap-frog”.
The Russians are way ahead in missile tech, not just the array of hypersonic missiles they can field but their excellent range of supersonic and subsonic equipment. Check out Andrei Martyanovs Blog or read his book. ‘Losing Military Supremacy’ for an excellent and detailed breakdown of the revolution in military affairs which has taken place. The US is still firmly wedged in the 20th Century when it comes to military warfare, it is dawning on them but they are still a long way from realising what this really fully means. Plus of course they spend trillions on hardware that doesn’t work or is not fit for the roles they were intended for. The Russians did it on a Defence budget the same size as the UK. (Im sure there were off book R&D expenses but that applies to most countries)
I think you’re wrong about the “5500 kilometre” range of the Tomahawk. Wikipedia, which as we know of anything will exaggerate Western capabilities, says:
Operational
range
Block II TLAM-A – 1,350 nmi (1,550 mi; 2,500 km)
Block III TLAM-C, Block IV TLAM-E – 900 nmi (1,000 mi; 1,700 km)
Block III TLAM-D – 700 nmi (810 mi; 1,300 km)
Yes. And you have to realise, that the hardware/software has been “upgryyeed” as well.
While the airframe, motor and warhead might have gone unchanged, the brains represent the most modern US/Corporate policies we aspire to.
They will absolutely do no harm, incite hatred of, or silence the voice of peoples of color.
In this light, the missiles fired the last decade or so represent the best intentions of the people of soyuz of sovietskih republiks of Amerika to bring salvation to the Nations surrounding Israel, and her children.
akkshually…
… the latest versions of the missile “fam” developed hand in hand with Bratt&Whittless and Amazin will deliver and drop packages to Your doorstep.
Please, disregard our previous technical failures resulting in injury. Contact our public dept and be assured, that Your claim will result in punishing the responsible segment of the population. Your patience is highly appreciated.
Apparently, the Tomahawk’s range of 5500 requires a lift on a plane for 3000 km or more.
The other real deficit is its slow speed cruising. It does not present a problem for missile defense systems or EW to track and destroy.
Like most everything American these days, the best came 3 decades ago.
Give Russia 20 years of peace, and you will not recognize her.
That’s why they never will give her 20 years of peace.
Russia has already had twenty years of peace, so its enemies will have to tread very carefully.
Only if Putin or a similar leader is at the helm of the nation.
See “Kettering bug” (wiki) and also https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-first-drones-used-in-world-war-i-453365075
gizmo has pictures of radiocontrolled rocket circa 1918, air to ground was intent.
But best of all, see http://www.aardvark.co.nz/pjet/cruise.shtml
The revolution in the robot flying machines has less to do with the missiles and much to do with basic cheap hardware mixed with some smarts… For myself I suspect that the Russian math experts have contributed greatly to accuracy.
I suspect that the Russian ECM is probably more significant than the robots… The (Russian) robots, so far, have not caused much mutiny, but the ECM tested on Donald Cook resulted in a “round-Robbin” (a direct violation of the UCMJ). I believe that the Iranian robot-rockets did result in some mutiny too…when they smacked Uncle Sam.
Imagine how these delusional people will act when their gizmos go off and stay off…
For film fans let’s recall that Marylin Monroe worked at RadioPlane…https://americangimuseum.org/marilyn-monroe/
Yes Mr. P “The revolution in the robot flying machines” tanks to Nikola Tesla. In fact, remote controls are an invention born in the 1800s. Renowned Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla created one of the world’s first wireless remote controls, which he unveiled at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 1898. He was entertaining people with his remote controlled boat toys in New York. He attempted to sell the technology to the US government, but they refused to finance him. When you click your TV on and off thank Tesla. .
I now think that the russian FAA have used the likes of Kalibrs one time or two in the Syrian theater. For a reason of course.
They dont use the ECM s for a reason too. Although Syrian has been a useful war lab everyone will keep the resulting data for himself.
Many things are not so secret in todays warfare due to bugs and spy systems but you can bet that when push comes to shove, there over a pair of surprises will show up.
GOOD NEWS to be VERIFIED..
also on the precision and advanced technology of Russian-Iranian missile delivery technology..
Syrian, Russian and Iranian backed (!!!) forces have apparently partly destroyed/rendered un-operational
oil storage facilities and tanker trucks in Northern Syria close to the Turkish border.
Al Hamran and Al-bab facilities and oil tanker areas were hit by Tochka S-21 and other missiles (you experts fill in the listing…)..Air and drone strikes.. to be verified!!!!!
Whatever, as usual it will be Russian language sources that verify this significant setback to the US-Turkish-occupied Israel oil smuggling campaign.
Supposedly this 100 million US a month (verifiable !!) in stolen revenues, is overshadowed by the larger amount of CIA rat-line of Afghani opium/heroin derivatives.

Hmm, rather than destroy the occupied Syrian oil wells, just destroy the occupier’s distribution system leading AWAY from the occupied wells.

But that would mean to engage with NATO drirectly…
