Dear friends,
Today I will begin by referring you to a post by my friend Andrei Martyanov about this Navalnyi nonsense which Andrei aptly named “I Wouldn’t Even Post About It“. Heck, that was also what I decided since, frankly, the entire western narrative about him is so false, so totally out of touch with reality, that my first inclination was to “flush my mental toilet” and deal with most pressing issues. I have very little to add to what Andrei wrote, other than restating a few basic facts:
- If “Putin”, or the Kremlin, or the FSB or any other entity in Russia wanted to kill Navalnyi, they could have easily done it.
- The notion that Navalnyi was infected with a biowarfare agent and that nobody except him was affected, including the people right next to him in an aircraft, is simply laughable. As is the notion that a Soviet/Russian biowarfare agent apparently very rarely kills.
- Navalnyi himself is a petty crook who skipped bail. What just happened is that since he skipped bail he now will have to spend the remaining of his sentence (minus the time he spent in house arrest) behind bars. In other words, he was not sentenced to anything. In fact, during his hearing, Navalnyi told the court “I don’t give a hoot about your rules“.
- Notice that the Kremlin chose to ignore Navalnyi skipping bail and even let him fly abroad for treatment. What would have happened in the good old US of A? You tell me :-)
- His support in Russia is close to zero. A few thousand people in various cities for a country which has 145 million people is sub-pathetic for a person trying to impersonate a public figure (rock stars get bigger crowds).
- The EU is, as always, trying really hard to please their AngloZionist masters. The sole fact that the EU is even considering cancelling a crucial multi-billion dollar energy contract which is vital for its future tells you all you need to know about how mediocre and lacking any agency the EU as become.
- My personal opinion about all this: it is a poorly designed and poorly executed PYSOP. As for Navalnyi himself, he strikes me as the ultimate fake (he used to try to impersonate a nationalist) and a typical narcissistic crook. The fact that the Empire had to use him as a Russian version of Neda really shows how desperate the AngloZionists are.
Okay, enough about all that.
To repeat, just like Martyanov, from now on I also will ignore this topic which is, yet again, something which is presented as something important and big in Zone A, but is a non-story is Zone B. Frankly, my blog is not aimed at those mentally stuck in Zone A, so why bother anyway?
If you absolutely feel compelled to comment about Navalnyi, please do that under this post and do not pollute the rest of the blog with this non-issue about a non-entity. Thank you!
Hugs and cheers,
The Saker
PS: a friend from France just emailed me to let me know that the program most watched in France this evening was entitled “Navalny peut-il faire tomber Poutine…” (Can Navalnyi overthrow Putin). My God, they obviously are truly as dumb and clueless as they appear to be :-)
Navalny: Skipped bail and is a hero the West while serving the remainder of his sentence
Assange: Skipped bail and is put in maximum security prison where is in danger of dying without ever seeing freedom, even after serving his full original sentence
Moreover, Navalny skipped bail after being convicted of real crimes. Assange skipped bail when he had committed no crime and was accused of no crime, but was nevertheless in imminent danger of being put on the “CIA Express” to torture and death.
Mind you, given those facts it’s obvious that the Western power elites would prefer Navalny. Birds of a feather…
Tom Welsh
Western intelligence agencies made a huge mistake with Navalny. They backed the wrong horse. After all, what is Navalny ? A two bit blogger impersonating a “politician”. As I have written before, both he and his handlers could never fill half a football stadium with supporters. Moscow has 14 million people. He barely enjoys the support of 2 % of Russian people, if that much.
His “political platform” is based on exposing “corruption”. Both he and his Western handlers forgot that people would be asking the logical question of what he did during Yeltsin’s reign, when Russia was looted of 100 billion dollars a year by Western banks, corporations and domestic oligarchs. The answer is ‘nothing’. However, he decides to fight “corruption” during Putin’s Presidency, when corruption was drastically reduced. Western intelligence agencies still need to grasp the fact that people in Russia cannot forget the liberal period under Yeltsin, when you had mass poverty. Nobody wants a return to that.
The “poisoning” of Navalny with “Novichok” military nerve gas is a copy cat replication of the false flag used with the Scripal’s in England. Both father and daughter got “infected” and miraculously survived. Incredibly enough, nobody in their vicinity got infected. Same thing with Navalny. He gets infected during an airline flight. Strangely enough, no other passengers got infected. Russian doctors found no traces of any Novichok poisoning. He is permitted to fly to Germany, where German doctors “discover” traces of Novichok, without explaining three basic facts: how on earth did they know what Novichok is, how did Navalny survive an “attack” by military nerve gas, and finally, why did they refuse Russian demands for copies of their medical findings. Well, they could not present medical evidence since there was none, as they were singing the same song as their NATO allies, led by the US.
The Navalny false flag cannot be taken outside the context of other events which happened in 2020. In fact, all you have to do is watch the chronology of events, one of my favorite methods of ascertaining the truth.
Western intelligence agencies came to the “bright” idea of turning the summer of 2020 into a summer of discontent, if I can paraphrase Shakespears famous phrase. They decide to remove all anti-Western leaders in Eastern Europe. In July they start with Serbia, where regime change was planned by having a bunch of football hooligans seize the Serbian Parliament. The hooligans were initially joined by teenagers, who back off after a few days, when they saw that they were being used as stooges. The coup d’etat collapses, and it will go down in history as one of the most incredibly stupid that was ever attempted. The population of Belgrade did not join the demonstrators, astonished at what was going on.
The West then moves to Belarus, instigating demonstrations against Lukashenko. More people turn out in the streets than in Serbia, but still not enough to overthrow Lukashenko, who enjoys the support of the bulk of the population.
During the demonstrations in Belarus, Western intelligence agencies come to the additional “bright” idea of organizing demonstrations in Russia and removing Putin from power. They were hoping that demonstrations would spill over from Belarus into Russia. They organize that laughable false flag with Navalny, who of course survives, but is flown to Germany for “treatment”. During his stay, Hollywood directors are flown into Germany, where they make that laughable video about “Putins place”, using computer gimmicks. Since they could not provoke any demonstrations with Navalny’s “poisoning”, they came to the equally “bright” idea that the trick might work with that video, which would support Navalny’s claims of Putin’s “corruption”. In just a few days the video is debunked as a fraud. A TV crew inspects the palace, which is empty, being renovated before being turned into a hotel. Arkady Rotenberg, who built the Crimea bridge, openly stated that he is the owner of the palace, which he intends to turn into a hotel.
And the result ? The “demonstrations” in Navalny’s support, which began some two weeks ago (small in number) saw their “popularity” fall last Saturday, being reduced to a small number of kids and teenagers, who left a very poor impression.
The West better find a new political puppet, as Navalny is finished, just like little Kseniya Sobchak was politically finished after stating that she intended to terminate the Office of President in Russia and “return” Crimea to Ukraine, as if Ukraine was the rightful owner.
@BF
Yes Navalny is a cia stooge and a clown.
But when you ask, what did he do during Yeltsin’s era.
He was age 15-23.
So why he now recruits children to the circus of political protests in RF.
I don’t think he could be sold as an Putin opposition figure, even for the cia, when he was a teen.
White Whale
“He was age 15-23”. And those who support him, and demonstrate in the streets, what is their age ?
A comment in a somewhat cynical vein is that whoever in mi6 or cia or NED is choosing these losers, they should find another line of “work”: guido in Venezuela, whats her name in belarus, the clowns in ukraine, sakash in georgia, the clowns in bolivia, of course navalni; none of them had or have any support of any consequence, just cia money and machinations, with a shelf llife of about a couple of weeks. (I’ve lost track of the attempts or new cia heros in the Balkans or former Yugoslavia entities but pretty much the same result).
Inquiring minds are curious as to what samantha power and nuland can come up with.
They can’t stray from the blueprint ‘corruption’, ‘electoral fraud’. They are on autopilot. ‘Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results’.
@B.F.
Anti-western leaders in Serbia?! LOL What have you been smoking?! A non elected gay prime minister ruling Serbia. You really think she is anti-western?! LOL
The protesters during the protests in Serbia were not Sorosites but anti-Sorosites and they were average people of all ages, they protested because of an impending second lockdown and the government using it as a smokescreen for the betrayal of Kosmet. The protesters succeeded, there is no second lockdown, also in Russia there is no second lockdown while in the west there still is a lockdown.
dave
You are sadly mistaken. The “demonstrators” in Serbia were not protesting against the Prime Minister, but against President Alexander Vucic. The protestors were “anti-Sorosites” ? You are very amusing and 100 % wrong.
Yeah – for spring/summer a “Zero-Covid” movement is planned to spring up, an ugly, revulsive assortment of Fridays for Future, Antifa, militant Covid19-Fans, etc. to impose a total lockdown or should we say crackdown (everything to be shut down) to root the virus out – ingenious isn’t it ?
BF,
Navalny, Guaido and their ilk are weak characters. But that doesn’t matter. These guys are just marionettes. They – and the stories around them – are designed for domestic consumption in the United States. It doesn’t matter that they are clowns. CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post will all paint them as breathtakingly dramatic freedom-fighting heroes. Since there is no mainstream competing narrative, many Americans will buy into the story.
The whole purpose is to:
1) Get the focus away from American income inequality, the Covid disaster, the rapidly evolving police state and the general decline in the standard of living, and,
2) Encourage useful idiots in the United States to support hybrid warfare against Russia.
The fact that it is all complete nonsense makes no difference. It is the story – not the characters – that they is important to the puppet masters.
Mike From Jersey (What Exit) is spot on correct. These shows are for the western public, who are force fed bulls__t on a daily basis, and non conventional warfare against governments that are not fully subservient to the goals of the private central bankers, i.e., the Anglo-Zionists.
The success of the Gaidos and Navalnys is not important. The acceptance of the narrative by the western audience is all that matters. Listening to intelligent thoughtful people in Washington and Los Angeles worry about Navalny is enough to make one throw-up and at the same time be amazed at the success of twisted process.
As a wounded and broken tax-payer, who funds this madness, all I can say is
Same Shit Different Decade
And not a single whim out of Moscow regarding Assange – to much neo-liberal scum there still one could enrage.
Moscow needs to provoke both the West and the domestic scum to make a move which almost inevitably will be a wrong one when forced out of nowhere. But the other way around is not very pleasant, the longer Putin waits the more dangerous it will become. Russia has to make one single decisive move soon or face the full well orchestrated wrath which is certain to come her way.
https://www.facebook.com/MIDRussia/photos/-opinion-by-maria-zakharovateachers-leave-them-kids-aloneon-january-13-2021-the-/3094619133970840/
For decisive moves – hold on. What happens backstage right now, we’re going to find out only in the coming months. Besides, what do you imagine by decisive? In all his 22 years Putin’s been more of a gradual mover than a panther leaping here and there. And finally, lots of stuff and even rhetoric from Putin and others are quite unbelievable if you happen to compare it to, let’s say, 2010. The West is just like a bull bitten by a crocodile – all Russia has to do is to sit nearby and wait for the bull to bleed to death, that’s all – without letting the bull take everyone with itself through the means of nuclear or other WMD war.
Yep a non-entity. Saw some pics of the Pro-Navalnyi protests – couple of hundred at the most. I too ignore anything written about him in the TRUTHFUL western press. Only read this assessment by The Saker to see what he thought – looks like the same as me………………..
A lot of young people were lured to attend via TikTok and Instagram messages stating there would be cool parties.
A 14 year old Russian gives the low down.
https://www.stalkerzone.org/we-demand-changes/
“Hello“
“Hello”
“Say, please, how old you are and what are you doing at this rally?“
“My name is Kristina, I’m in the 10th class. I was told that there would be a cool party. I saw it on TikTok and Instagram. I came to see it.”
“I.e., you don’t understand what is going on here?”
“No, people are standing, waiting for the promised party, but it turns out to be a rotten egg.”
PS. Is Navalny on drugs? He always looks spaced out.
”PS. Is Navalny on drugs? He always looks spaced out.”
Yes, Navalny is indeed a junkie. Cocaine, pain-killers, and alcohol are what he lives for. So when he passed out on the flight to Germany, that was what took its toll on the ”hero”. On this basis, it’s quite evident what a blessing ”Navalny rule” would be for Mother Russia. Just like Yeltsin 30 years ago, Navalny’s message to the West would amount to: ”Give me booze, pills, and loaded syringes and you can have whatever you want”.
The comparison with Mr Yeltsin is only correct concerning the booz.
For the rest, I do not agree. Mr Yeltsin had still his pride and honor.
Mr Navalny has none. He is a MI6, CIA asset and puppet. For a long time I think.
He had to come to The West/Berlin to get his CIA/MI6 application course in fine tuning to create chaos in Russia.
IMO Russia should clear its country of NGOs which are nothing else but Riot-Plan-Bureaus for their Billionair Masters and Bankers in The Arrongant West.
Peace.
Yeltsin was a western controlled puppet. His task was to organize a fire sale of the Russian state owned companies to weaken and hollow out Russia. He regularly was visibly drunk during working hours. And although the way down had already started before he came to power the average life expectancy went down a couple of years during Yeltsin’s rule. Instead of reversing the decline of Russia he accelerated it.
But if we are to believe you at least he kept his pride and honor. It was an utter disgrace.
Eltsyne made a belated military move in Serbia when Russian troops managed to gain control of an airport, but had to abandon the ground for lack of aerial support.
Realizing he had been hoodwinked by the US, he selected the patriot Primakov as a prime minister.
On the other hand Navalny is a narcissist, as the Saker characterizes him, which implies total cynicism, as underlined in the end of Xavier Moreau’s 2015 video “Qui est Navalny?” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_svhuTKdLS0&feature=emb_imp_woyt).
(A video that usefully sums up the Kirovles and Yves Rocher affairs, basically 2 cases of 1990’s types of embezzlement in the late 2000’s, by someone who wished he’d been older at the time when crooks could make tons of money.)
One of the features of this affair is how predictable it is. The Russians could have allowed Navalnyi to travel to Europe expecting this circus we are witnessing.
In Mexico, what is being said about Russia is the efficacy of the Sputnik V vaccine and that Russia will send 24 million doses. Nobody cares about Navalny.
En Perú tampoco creemos la narrativa atlantista sobre la bondad de Navalny. Pienso que esta situación refuerza mi idea que Rusia es uno de los pocos bastiones contra el progresismo globalista.
Yandex translation. Mod:
In Peru, we don’t believe the Atlanticist narrative about Navalny’s goodness either. I think this situation reinforces my idea that Russia is one of the few bastions against globalist progressivism.
Dear Saker,
Анальный навальный настоящии диверсант который был бросил под машину. Trans: anal navalnyi, a diversionary figure, was thrown under the bus by the “west” who does not care any more for his sorry ass!
Yes, it is meet and right to ignore navalnyi hereafter and let him fade into ignominy and obloquoy.
I understand smoothie’s as well as your utter distain for this flagrant foolish attempt to unseat Putin, to undermine Russia’s best interests & hard won supremacy & stupidly attempt to replace it yet another Yeltsin, as clearly Nuland dreams possible, she is after all that disillusional & corrupt, but I am was pleased to watch the Russian administration handily entrap & dissolve this daft heavy handed unmentionable pipe dream. I especially appreciated the Russian foreign ministry’s response today…countering the ridiculous Brit ‘diplomats’ accusations by smoothly referencing him to the Assange case & trial. notably, also, the Chinese today countered Blinken’s remarks regarding who with the request America allow who access to American labs & records (as china has & is) especially America’s early cases of Covid from mid 2019. specifically the cases Pompeo ordered sent to dc. I see this as both Russia & China hitting the ball back with ease, losing neither face, grace nor ground.
Navalny will be the excuse to stop Nordstream 2 – Something Putin tried to avoid, cause he will have to implement serious consequences for Europe if Nordstream 2 get abolished – Putin knows, lasting peace between East and West, can only be accomplished, if he can convince Europe not to fold – it’s that serious!
Thank You Saker; Propaganda does not need to be true to work. The fact that those intelligent enough to see its falsity are able to do so does not overly bother the propagandists. Propaganda is vital and works constantly by steadily and repetitiously instilling fear of the overlords in the minds of the masses of people who quietly agree to harmonize their lives with the State power in order to stay safe. This is most people. So full spectrum fear and control drivers are constant and effective at managing their real target – the easily oppressed Western masses. Half of these propaganda offensives are so oblique we don’t even notice. Shape and rule the minds of the masses through fear is a long established fundamental of patriarchal class driven governance.
Well, that is true. But, as they say, you cannot lie to everybody all the time. This latest PSYOP is a success in the West (Zone A), but is a total faceplant in Russia (Zone B).
Good enough imho
cheers
You cannot lie to everybody all the time. Unfortunately, it appears that one can safely lie most of the time to most of the people :-( Minority that is capable of independent thinking is less than 20% o f the population…..
How sad :-(
Yandex translation. Mod:
“Can Navalny bring down Putin…”
But yes! It will only need enough of the Novichok and-that’s it. In fact, this thrilling prospect is the very reason why Putin, in person, tried to asphyxiate this brave boy two fools already, mdr.
I did a satirical video that mentions this matter. It is a spoof on Bellingcat called Bellingbat.
http://johnhaganart.com/videos/bellingbat.mp4
Frankly, I ignore the psyop stories read by robots on the news.
To give it a go:
Apparently not so long ago boy band member Macron tried to dictate Lukachenko that he should recede his power to the demonstrating protesting mob. Whereas Lukachenko replied something like ‘and when are you going to do that to the Gilets Jaunes’?
I have such an idea that will not do it openly in public (more like ‘mind your own business’), but I can imagine that in diplomatic intercourses, the RF will nicely remember the West that there is a similar case in the West for comparable accusations, with even quite some large more human positive points and even more sinister revenge issues.
His name is Julian Assange.
Btw, how are the Skripals doing? Enjoying there new lives, far away from evil Vlad?
(my guess: they are dead for quite a while, dumped like Kashoggi).
It must be an archievement to have a role comparable to succesfull Gaylord Guaido. The only thing missing to get a good laugh is the accompanying shouting of Pompeo.
Enough said from my side about this fraudulent CIA-asset. My goodness, what a joke.
Cheers, Rob
‘…Navalnyi told the court “I don’t give a hoot about your rules“’.
Surely that is the very definition of a criminal: someone who not only cares nothing for the law, but is quite open in admitting it to a court.
It seems to me that Russia would be justified in expelling him on the grounds that he has rejected the social contract.
But who would accept him?
”But who would accept him?”
I believe that’s precisely the blind spot of all these fraudsters — Tikhanovskaya, Guaidó, Navalny, etc. — that just because they are turned into Western media celebrities, they also are held in high regard by their Western puppet masters. The West’s contempt especially of its proven failures (useless idiots) comes as a shock to them. But as for the question asked, I would bet on Ukraine/Poland/The Baltics.
Western media is totally in an alternative fake reality. I remember CIA reported they would use social media for intelligence decisions (sic.). They run social media and the algorithms themselves of course! So that is like mad mathematics now. It is totally, hilariously fake. The directed news as well, one read all the same fiction in the various countries obviously issued from a central source (directed news, news streams) simultaneously. And you are right about Navalny, a political asset from the exiled oligarchy (George Soros et al. most likely, have now been associated with CIA from official Russian sources).
At least during the Cold War the BBC and Deutsche Welle. Now they are the laughing stock of Russian TV and YT channels who repost their silly propaganda on a daily basis :-)
You are seriously underestimating the brainwashing power of antisocial media and ownd propaganda channels .
Stalker had his “Which 16 Countries Sent Diplomats To Navalny’s Trial?”. I think there is at least one false claim. Finland didn’t send diplomats to trial.
He was supposed to get 12 – 20 years of jail. It is Russian law … for citizen who works for foreign enemy’s intelligence services
They are too benevolent toward that rubbish
Bosnian Croat
If Navalny embezzled 400.000 dollars in the US, how much jail time would he get ? Would people be protesting and demanding his release ? The answer is ‘no’.
If he worked on Wall Street the answer would be no. If he was an average citizen he could do some serious time. 10 years or more in the southern U$A.
The intent of this PSYOP was to keep alive in the minds of some that a revolution is still possible in Russia and that the present situation is a ‘revolutionary situation’, to keep the anti-Putin, anti-Russian narrative alive. Its failure won’t deter the ‘planners’ to ‘better prepare it’. You know the definition of insanity: ‘Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results’. The only real result is that it exposes again and again their mental state.
It does have some success though. You can see every now and then, even on this site, anti-Putin diatribes.
Navalny, Skripals…this dastardly Russian nerve agent has survivors all over the place and is obviously even less lethal than CV-19 @ 99.99%. Maybe they should put it in the vaccine. Maybe they already have.
Is it true his wife who is actually the Western connection/agent? Because Navalny doesn’t seem very bright…
Can we stop showing this traitor’s mug? He turns my stomach! I can’t stand his face and his worst feature are his eyes! Please oh pretty please – do not show his face again!
Saker,
The main thing that I take away from this whole affair is the use of social media to influence kids / teenagers.
Not all young people – as you state there wasn’t that many people ( I think more people turned out for Furgal in the early stages of that protest)
How can this be counteracted?
This is a dry run for 2024
14 year old kids were 7 when Ukraine happened so they are not inoculated against colour revolution propaganda.
Another thing NGOs need to be banned it’s clear there is activity going on
Also they need some sort of ban on People attending these events with a high viz jacket – yellow jacket pretending to be a journalist when really they’re there to participate in an action and record it for propaganda
Historical perspective to better understand what is going on:
In Cold War main dissident was Solzhenitsyn .
Now Navalnyi ! He is a joke .
It shows that Western Powers have Navalnyi as best asset in propaganda
war with Russia . Good luck “Free World “!
whatever news comes out of that Zionist satrapy called France is irrelevant, I mean the whole country has been dissolved into mediocrity. Imagine, in the country of Pasteur, they are unable to come out with any so-called vaccine against covid. all shame & honor have deserted Voltaire´s homeland.
Institut Pasteur was the first to produce a rabies vaccine more 100 years ago…
Now they’re nowhere, which is what usually happens when you select leadership based on their religious and business connections instead of scientific brilliance.
Look at Agnes Buzyn, their former french health minister. What a mess she left behind in France…
France does have Didier Raoult, top expert in Covid. They tried to discredit him. You can still read him on Twitter though.
Be careful with any information delivered by the mainstream medias.
The Pasteur Institut detains an european patent since 2004, which concerns the fabrication of an ARN with proteins including the Spike protein. So they are very able to produce a vaccin similar to the AstraZeneca, Spoutnik, ones.
Considering all the delays in the dispatching of the vaccins already approved, there are no problems of timing.
I think that they have some doubts about the actual efficiency of this type of vaccins which rely solely on the induced immunity against the Spike protein. Hence mutations in the Spike protein have been noticed which ask questions about the efficiency of a vaccin against such a mutated coronavirus about three months after its fabrication. .
poisoning has become synonymous with the MI6 false flag.
The question becomes, can the authorities protect his life in prison?
Once out of prison again (Putin will probably shorten the sentence), the US and Brits will want to martyr him. He has no value to their program to change the regime in the Kremlin.
There is probably an interagency competition now between Mi6, the CIA and German BND and Macron’s DGSE. They all want to see Navalny “hanging on a cross”, where his true value can be exploited against Putin and Russia.
Navalny is meat. The question is whose hook does he hang on?
Actually, Navalny will be protected, the Russian GRU and Belarussian KGB did protect Belarussian opposition leader Svetlana Tichanovskaya from an assasination attempt of the MI6 in Belarus, with bringing her to Lithuania. So the overthrow died off with that.
That’s what I thought to. I wondered why they didn’t just kill him. As an asset he’s surely worth more dead than alive. A martyr at least has a certain exchange value. Alive he’s just a drain of resources.
No Navalny will be even faster forgotten than Nemtsov
But I guess he will not live a long life anyway
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Nemtsov
Larchmonter,
I agree that, politically speaking, he’s worth more dead than alive, but even dead, what could he aspire to? Posthumously giving his name to a US sanctions package? Like a Magnitsky Act, there could be a Navalny Act…I don’t see much more than that.
hope the Saker or his guests, in a near future, will analyze the decomposition of maquereau´s France.
I have a classmate who now lives in Australiastan. He is very left wing, anti Modi, keeps very well informed about what goes on in India underneath the gibbering globetrotting genocidal gangster Gujarati government, and is reasonably informed about what’s happening in the rest of the world too. But even he told me “Navalny is a patriot” who is “Putin’s greatest opponent ” and whom Putin “tried to eliminate”. This is because that’s the *only* message his media is feeding him. He doesn’t know any Russians and has never been allowed to have access to an alternative view.
I wouldn’t be so sanguine about Navalny’s irrelevance if I were you. Reasons:
1. It isn’t about Navalny or the fact that he couldn’t win an election for the post of town sewer inspector. It is a calculated ploy to delegitimise the legitimate Russian government. By the next election the Amerikastani and slave populations will have been thoroughly brainwashed into believing that any election *not* resulting in a Navalny “victory” isn’t legitimate. Therefore when Amerikastan does a Guano/Tikhanovskaya and announces that it recognises Navalny or his wife as the legitimate president of Russia they’ll believe it.
The next step? Scrap all treaties with the “illegal” Russian government, seize all Russian assets to hand, and try to eliminate all Russian commerce and diplomatic relations in “Zone A”.
2. The Navalny demos were laughable but are a dry run. This September, ahead of Duma elections, expect a reprise, only with carefully managed violence that the police will be compelled to react to, inflicting deaths and injuries among brainwashed teenage rioters. People whose brat was shot by the police for trying to storm the Duma with a Molotov cocktail in each hand aren’t likely to look on the government with favour afterwards, no matter what the facts are.
3. Use the fable of “countering Russian influence ” to invade and occupy countries where Russian troops might be in future (and continue current occupations like East Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq). Further arm Ukranazistan and make it and Georgiastan NATO in all but name. Begin rearming, openly, Chechen terrorists now in Syria and Ukranazistan, and other anti Russian forces.
The Skripals led to Navalny when Russia made no serious attempt to force the Brutish slaves of the Amerikastani Empire to prove their contentions or suffer serious consequences (starting with the cessation of diplomatic relations and the seizure of Brutish investments in Russia). The failure to take Navalny seriously is being used by Amerikastan to destroy the Russian attempt (which apparently is still a cornerstone of Putin’s policy) to woo Germany and other European countries as potential partners independent of Washington.
But maybe the omniscient demigod Putin, who plays 105th dimensional chess, and whose thoughts and actions are incomprehensible to us lesser mortals, has planned for all that.
This floating idea that ‘wooing Germany’ or ‘Europe’ for that matter is the ‘cornerstone of Putin’s policy’ is part of the PSYOP. Putin was very clear that he wants collaboration with Europe, which is natural, but if Europe doesn’t want it ‘so be it’. But the West cannot renounce its delusion that Russia is ‘dependent’ on it, that still looks at the West as at the raising Sun when the contrary is true, the West is that part where the Sun set, where the darkness comes from.
If what you said is true, and if the Putinist regime is genuinely not interested in wooing Europe, why is it engaged in any fashion in NordStream II, given that
1. It is not economically necessary for Russia and
2. That blocking it would give Amerikastanan immediate propaganda victory?
It is noted by those in the EU who would benefit from Russian gas. That is the only reason Nordstream II is still alive. If the US or the EU/German gov’t kill it, it won’t make the Russians look bad.
The simple truth is that Europe needs the NordStream2. They wanted it. It is not vitally economically necessary for Russia as people like to believe. But why on earth Russia shouldn’t make some money on the side? That Europe is willing to bite the hand that feeds them, it is their problem. Russia suggested that it would take them to court for breach of contract.
Nordstream was a Russian/Gazprom initiative; no need now to rehash the economical or presumed political reasons for it. Nordstream 2 is an essentially German initiative, after that they, the German industry, did the sums and found that a reliable stream of cheap energy is what they need to maintain their primacy as an industrial powerhouse, not only in the EU but worldwide. This does not sit well with the US Deep Staters, who keep Germany under military occupation after a cease-fire treaty of 1949, of which no German citizen, or anybody else, for that matter, has been allowed to see the details.
And that’s exactly why sabotaging it is such a good idea for the Amerikastani Empire, to force Europeans to pay for expensive Amerikastani fuel (not a problem as far as I’m concerned. I have zero interest in the well being of Europeans).
Raising further tensions is also an excellent idea for the Amerikastani Empire to continue to occupy Europe and expand NATO even further.
In both of these things Navalny is the perfect tool and Russia cannot be as dismissive of him just because he has no support. It isn’t Russians that this is Navalnyganda is aimed at.
Yes and if Germany is going to fold under that pressure, they maybe end up with no gas at all – in the fallout will affect Nordstream 1 as well – guess we all know what that can lead to
Living in Australia, if I hear on radio/tv that Navalny is ” the Russian leader of the opposition”, as if he has some prominence and signifigence, I’ll throw up.
It is relentless!
“….told me “Navalny is a patriot” who is “Putin’s greatest opponent ” and whom Putin “tried to eliminate”. This is because that’s the *only* message his media is feeding him. He doesn’t know any Russians and has never been allowed to have access to an alternative view.”
You have hit the nail. Judging from reactions here in France, those who believe the most in the fable are those with no connections to Russia or Russians and are spoon-fed by the ton mainstream media narratives. They stop at that.
Another excellent analysis by The Saker
In the ‘collective West’ it is being reported as tho’ Navalny is the opposition leader in Russia – like the UK’s Keir Starmer or the major non-government party’s leaders in NZ, Australia, Canada (in the US, the equivalent would be the Minority leader in the House) – not an opposition leader
My larger point is as the ‘collective West’ descends into barbarism (its been in economic fascism, laughably referred to as Neo-liberalism, for some decades and is now entering political (one-party state) fascism) the only tactic they can come up with are creating destabilization operations that dont amount to much more than nuisance value to nations within The Saker’s “Zone B”
Witness Syria (ongoing), Venezuela, Belarus, HK, the recent flareup in N-K and now Russia itself – all failed or failing attempts – revealing for all with eyes to see that, truly, “the Emperor had no clothes!”
Best,
why is this guy Putin popping up! What am I missing?
Navalny==Guaido , even less spectacular. It speaks for itself how desperate that power us.
I’m really glad to see the leadership Putine is taking following Davos to mobilize forces to combat rentier capitalism and the support he is receiving. Xi and him are needed to fight this power structure that has spread destruction throught the planet for too long.
When the former Foreign Minister of Sweden met Alexi Navalny at a hotel in Moscow.
Carl Bildt is the most corrupt Swedish politician in my lifetime bar none. Spying for a foreign power, violating international law, one of the conspirators in the Balkan war as well as the Iraq war. Lobbying for American Lockhead Martin and Lundin Oil while working as Foreign Minister of the Swedish Government, which made Carl Bildt a multimillionaire. A genocide millionare.
We can read about the meeting in this article from a Russian News Paper (with video) I used the Yandex translator.
“Video footage has emerged of blogger Alexei Navalny meeting with a group of European diplomats and public figures known for their anti-Russian views, including former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt — a noted critic of Moscow.
At first glance, it may seem that no one is waiting for him here. A tall man, whom the bloggers later identify as Alexei Navalny, saunters into the hotel lobby, finishes a conversation on the phone, and looks around. And, finally, he sees those who, apparently, made an appointment for him. A couple of gentlemen on the couch, each busy with their own business. At first, it seems, they did not even recognize a prominent opposition figure.
This imposing man who greets Alexei Navalny without fuss is Carl Bildt. In the past-the UN Secretary-General’s envoy to the Balkans, and then-the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden. In secret diplomatic documents published by WikiLeaks, he is described as “stubborn”, “self-confident” or, rare for business correspondence, “a medium-sized dog with the habits of a large one”. It was Carl Bildt who was visited by Mikhail Khodorkovsky in Stockholm a few months after his release from the colony.
“Nothing can be better than what you are talking about – for Sweden, for Russia, and for Europe. Thank you so much for coming. We express our support for everything you do and wish you the best of luck in fulfilling your dream,” says Bildt.
In recent years, Carl Bildt has often discussed the change of power as a coveted and strategic goal in Ukraine, where he is considered an advocate of American interference in international politics, and an active supporter of the Maidan. Kiev even predicted him to be prime minister to replace Yatsenyuk, who did not justify the trust. But it hasn’t worked out yet.
“I think that he (Navalny) could be the operator of such an international coalition in support of the creation of the Russian Maidan. They also need money – for the preparation of the Russian Maidan. And I think it’s no coincidence that the manager of a Norwegian oil company was there. Apparently, the money is supposed to come from there. In addition, there were people who are known, among other things, as political scientists, political strategists, specialists in working with social networks and with the masses of people,” comments political scientist Sergey Markov.
We talked behind closed doors for about an hour and a half. If you believe the” Twitter ” of Alexei Navalny-about Russian politics, Ukraine and Syria. There are no more detailed comments.
“We do not comment on anything,” Navalny’s press secretary Kira Yarmysh said.
Meanwhile, if you take into account the composition of the participants, it is not so difficult to understand the key of the conversation.
Why Russia’s internal affairs needed to be discussed in such an international composition, Alexey Navalny, alas, did not specify. Which is weird. After all, arranging a meeting right in the center of Moscow, under the gun of surveillance cameras, the Russian opposition leader does not seem to hide his cooperation with foreign sponsors.”
https://www.vesti.ru/article/1581029
looking at the map of Russia… and its history past and recent… only the West would come up with something as ridiculous and insane as Navalny… as a ”opposition” figure… anyhow the West is insane so don’t try to understand…
Do you really think the West has no better man than Navalny? That Elvira’s bosses have fallen so much, hard to imagine. The same like they had no better opponent to Trump f.e., than Biden. It is a game of controlling the human population in which they always win. Attempts to explain moves of those responsible by Putinophiles are ridiculous. They seem to “drug” themselves by patting on the shoulder, assuring that they have not been deceived. Navalny is as much a Putin player as the West one. People do not trust him and a replacement is coming. I’m surprised that they haven’t “killed” him yet, like Nemcov after the role is over, so that at least in that part, among the naive people, they get more “opposition” fans. Who knows, maybe he’ll try another rebellion from prison :))?
“His support in Russia is close to zero. A few thousand people in various cities for a country which has 145 million people is sub-pathetic for a person trying to impersonate a public figure (rock stars get bigger crowds).”
Navalny attracted larger crowds than did Biden during the elections.
Obviously he is presidential material.
How could The Saker get it so wrong?
Mr Navalni is very useful to mother Rusia. Without him it would much harder to explain the whole stink of the west. Just look at him at the dock, no need for further comments.
This rather pathetic and frankly useless twat has been a god-sent to Russian government and that is why he is still alive – he was protected by Kremlin. He was very useful to them in one very important undertaking – to completely discredit any “opposition” movements in Russia, including fifth columns. Which he has done brilliantly! I said this before – you people do not seem to clearly understand the way VVP and his people operate. It’s quite a stealthy and a clever approach – results are not seen immediately (as most people here seem to want), but these results are exactly what was planned to archive. This is where this “lack of response on Putin’s part” crowd needs to put their thinking into gear and realise that the responses to all the stupid provocations have been happening behind the scenes – slowly and painfully and without much shouting about it. Stealth. Hallmark of a very intelligent and expierenced ex-KGB Colonel. Do remember it please.
The exemplification of a perfect useful idiot!
If it is not the case it’incomprehensible why he is still around.
Actually, no. The bugger is a full-blown useless idiot, but since his handlers are even worse degenerates, they are happy to pester Russia with Navalny’s pathetic stunts for the mere fun of it.
But that’s the point :Why Russia tolerate him and even entertains all this pathetic and blatant masquerade!!!! If they wanted to eliminate him they would have done it a long long time ago!!! (Russia can manufacture the best weapons in the planet (or so we are told) , have one of the most experienced spy agencies but they can not get rid of Navalny or handle him???) What is the reason? Russian incompetency? (I doubt it….) For fear of more sanctions (let me laugh!) To respect the human rights and sacred being of Mr Navalny? Pffffffff!.
I think Katerina is right and if she’s not there is something really fishy going on here!
Not sure I fully understand your rant. If any oposition can be discredited by this twat, what kind of oposition is that? Are they all as treasonous as he is? Any political manouvaring by Vlad is suported by me. I suppot him, mother Rusia and all who wish her well. He’s done well by all of us too. Most Russians and Serbs do too.
This loser is a drug addict. Cocaine at a guess as I have treated a few such cases. His abnormal facial expression and the wild look in his eyes point in this direction. What a truly pathetic choice for western ruling elites, a tragic human being as an opposition leader. Memories of Sabaka Shvili.
Very true. And this solves the ”Novichok” riddle: It’s an umbrella name for whatever this misfit is ”experimenting” with, ha!
I notice that what is left out is the fact that, while Navalny is not a significant player in Russia, he may be simply created to manipulate Western audiences.
A sort of Emanuel Goldstein in reverse, where an artificially created character is used as a mental object in order to advance the real agenda, which is to prepare the Western public for war, whether hybrid or real, against Russia.
“Oh that Evil Russia and Putin, picking on that nice innocent truth teller….we need to go in and save the Russians by installing Navalny…..”
Installing Navalny is not the idea, much as getting rid of Saddam or Milosevic was.
The idea is to personalized as evil a country to be controlled or destroyed.
subhuti37:
I think you may have hit it on the head-navalni is all for and only for Western audiences, he is a joke and prob a coke head in russia but the western presstitutes and now even the foreign relations cmtte in senate are jumping on this idiocy.
Browder heavily involved with senators on for relations committee: cardin, menendez, et al, now threatening further sanctions (stand with Russian people (sic)) with even biden’s nat security advisor now says sanctions not working.
Magnetski travesty in action in senate.
Subhuti37, exactly, people in the US will hear something repeated a few times and then it becomes a fact, one they will never question because it was said on the news. Sad, but reasoning is not on the agenda and the government and its media know this.
Although the AngloZionists would like to be otherwise, the last tme I checked Russia is a sovereign country (and one that could defend its sovereignity). So, the russian internal affairs, like sending this Navalny clown to jail for non-compliance with russian laws, shouldn’t be West’s business.
I note the western media agencies working themselves up into a lather about Navalny who apparently wants to be put in jail – he got his wish – but are struck dumb when Assange, Snowden and Manning want to get out of an American jails.
Consistency doesn’t seem to be a feature of the Anglo-Zionist media.
Saker, you seem to be assuming that sanity, reality and peace will prevail in the end in the face of powerful and persistent trends to the contrary, endlessly pushed to the limit by American leadership irrespective of the faction that formally rules. I cannot stop feeling concerned that Navalny may well serve as the pretext for many possible catastrophic actions (potentially lethal, history changing and world wide) that Crazy Joe and the crowd of corporatist Democratic fanatics who engineered his fraudulent seizure of power and give him his marching orders might well insanely choose to implement or discover that he/they cannot back down from.
When chaos is let loose in the world there is no assurance that even the “winners” of a kinetic, an economic or a hybrid war will be left intact and robust as an integrated society. Surely, Joe and his enablers would gleefully embrace any fragmentation of Russia and look to scavenge its entrails again. I would view that as catastrophic for the world even if reciprocal disintegration concurrently happened to the United States. I am not optimistic, as the US gives no hint that it will ever stop playing “chicken” with the other major nuclear powers on this planet, none of which even claims to be a “super power,” whilst America never ceases bragging about this status and the prerogatives that allegedly come with it.
France is pushing for a stop of Nordstream 2 but Merkel apparently said Nein once again.
She also said Germany would now be ok to import Sputnik V vaccin (since Pfizer is organising the shortage in deliveries). Macron copied her just the next day.
Remember she also rushed to sign the trade agreement with China before Joe Robinette Bidet took office.
These are positive developments if confirmer through Time (Never Say Never with EU minions)
Regarding French DGSE taking part in Navalny’s assassination in Russia, i think they’re busy with much more serious stuff right now :)

For some strange reasons – lately – we have been bombarded with an hour-long and everyday news and documentaries featuring the crackpot Alexi Navaly, guess where, here in Iran by various western based television channels like the BBC Farsi, Iran International VOA Farsi etc. So, now we know a lot about the usual narrative of brutal suppression of democracy and freedom by the very person of Putin himself against the western funded clown named Alexy Navaly. Some clips of Navaly and friends showed wild parties there in an apartment and older women supporting him in Moscow demonstrations calling him the future president !! Personally feel that’s quite entertaining.
Mi6/MI5 UK told Alexi Navaly his likeness to double agent James bond….. Danial Craig who has all the pretty ladies dropping at his feet and to imagine himself as the president of Russia and the best 007 bond agent ever, whilst dealing him a line of coke.
What about Putin? Navaly asked, oh don’t worry we,v painted him as the Evil mini-me president and it will be a breez taking over as president.
On hearing this on his 2nd line of coke….. count me in! :-))
3 yrs later in cell block, wondering if his nxt cell mate has a spare roll up ciaret….

What really surprised (and disgusted) me about this whole affair is the way that Germany (Merkel?) handled it. It is well known that the North Stream is vital for Germany just look about the strong opposition to it by the US. Why in Earth choses Germany/Merkel to appear as protector/s of this guy? What do they think they are going to win by doing this? The only explanation is that they wnat to harm Russia somehow. they are biting the hand that is going to feed them (with cheap and realible gas). It is simply hypocrisy from the germans to act that way, disgusting I think.
Surely the West should be comforted by the Navalny affair. If they believe that Putin / FSB really tried to kill him, then the fact that they entirely bungled the attempt in Russia, even whilst he lay unconcious in hospital, and then allowed him to be transported to Germany can only mean that not only have they taken incompetence to staggering new levels, but that they are no threat to anyone.
Article typical “made in Russia”. Reading this is like watching Kremlin news or Russia Today.
Evidently, Paul hasn’t devoted a millisecond to any Russian media whatsoever. He stumbled onto this blog somehow, got curious and then nastily shocked by Saker’s brilliant trashing of Analny Navalny as well as by the comments posted. Predictably, he resorts to blaming our heretic views on ”Russian media”.
The One with the Mustache
They couldn’t have come up with a worse selection for a future leader of Russia. Even Yeltsin was more popular. A stray dog from nowhere would had more chances to win then he has.
And that is exactly the point. Take nobody and put him the above everyone. Use the media to make a saint out of a crook. The power of the alchemists – to turn even excrement into gold. How better to humiliate rebels, how better to show ‘who is Boss’?
Q
He is always referred to in Canadian news as “The leader of the opposition”. And people here believe it.
I suggest you look at SWRRS.ORG (a Swiss completely neutral site) under the heading:
” Navalny: Nächster Propaganda-Flop” von 2-2-2021
It has to be: swprs.org
Even his Wikipedia page makes no effort to conceal the truth…
“Navalny received a scholarship to the Yale World Fellows program at Yale University in 2010.”
I wonder what “Bonesman” drew the short straw to be his State Dept handler.
The West ought to be confronted not only with the plights of Assange, Snowdon and Manning, but also with Julia Skripal.
From France
You are right. As a leader of a political opposition Navalny is a big mistake in the casting….
Like Guaido for the Venezula, the woman, i don’t even remember her name, for the Beralus, the entire syrian national counsil which has been built by Juppé,*…. But if you consider that this is mainly aimed at justifying military agressions against Russia and the independant Republics in the Donbass with regards the peoples in the West, it is much more accurate.
All this very much depends on Germany. On a very unofficial level Germany manages a not so bad relationship with Russia. In the german parliament there raising voices pleading for better understandings between Germany and Russia. Which is not the case in France.
* As soon as it has been created, the syrian national counsil has been in the hands of the muslim brotherhood.
Dear master Saker:
You write:
“My personal opinion about all this: it is a poorly designed and poorly executed PYSOP.”
I believe all these “psyops”are actually and esquisically designed just so as to appear as being ‘poorly designe’. So purely that some people will stand forth and point it out. Thus they can be registered as potential trouble-makers.
Then there are the rest who see the falseness of the story that is put out to the public but who keep silent. These either mark themselves as potential fellow travelers or quislings, or they disqualify themselves from speaking out and tell the truth in times to come. Most north Atlantic journalists get subsumed into this category.
On Iceland, thou shoulst be adressed as “Sira Falk”, and in my language as “Tartar-falken”. I believe both are hinted to in “Pele Fire” by the author ovf “Lolita, Nabokov the great.
In the midst of this unhinged Navalny insanity, a moving reminder of who the Russian people support. I don’t think the Russian people themselves need any reminding. This is aimed at their enemies. If there is one Country in the West where this would ever happen, I would like to know about it.
After a flash mob in support of Vladimir Putin, organized by a private Yekaterinburg company, spontaneous actions in support of the president began all over the country under the hashtag –
#Путиннашпрезидент.

Thank you for bringing this topic forward for (rational) discussion.
I understand how, let’s call ourselves…. the rationale, pronounced, like internationalé, as in The Internationale; anyhow, one could see how the rationale, as our host comes across as being part of, almost all of the time, would look at the physical reality, at least to the extent possible, observe how the narrative so little fits, and in many cases, conflicts with the known, measurable, and relevant evidence/facts, and, as a rational person is wont to do, completely dismiss it!
Maybe it’s some kind of intellectual egotism… and possibly… well, the sheer cheesy, outrageousness of the obviouses of the lies are… well, quite frankly for me, it is distasteful.
It’s working.
Without conducting multiple public surveys, across national boundaries, we can see that a certain percentage of the people actually believe, in-part, or all of this (can be summed up in the apparent effectiveness, not of this super-duper-deadly-worthy-of-fear, evil… Soviet ear chemical-biological weapon, which apparently … doesn’t work!).
While it is tempting to say that most of the people who thought they were voting for Sleepy Creepy Probably-Incontinent, probably fully believe in Nalvany… like Juan Gaido, before him, I think it is actually, even more wide-spread than that.
Again, we see the utter, almost hysterically comical, narratives, repeatedly, and obviously including situations defying physics, as we know it, being accepted as reality, and therefore part of the world-view, of a large proportion of humans (supposedly… good at … thinking).
Rather than dismissing it, I see it as evidence, in a increasingly well-articulated trend of clearly not possibly truthful (I mean, of course, a new, previously unseen order-of-magnitude implausibility) narratives, successfully imprinted on a large percentage of people (assumed, ultimately, to be (have been) rational, is such a way, so as to change their observable behaviour(s).
Of the capabilities enabled by big data and revolutions in human-developed silicon technology information management, this capability to hack the human mind may ultimately be the
most dangerous.
The Navalny case, while distasteful for the remaining Rationalé, to consider, per se, should bring our focus to one of the fundamental dangers, which we can all see, all around us, especially now with the… (oh-so-convenient-for-initiating-a-reset, hee-hee-hee-aren’t-we-so-very-clever), pandemic, how we are witnessing, ever-increasing mind-control over the population, across many nations.
I’m french and currently live in France due to lockdown. I can attest of the abysmal stupidity of the journalists here. I hear them spouting contradictory nonsense and watch in disbelief the self satisfaction glee they show. Out of touch does not begin to describe them. They are gone.
If the world is lucky, perhaps this coke-head manikin of the CIA with illusions of grandeur but the charisma of Juan Guaido and the principles of Judas Iscariot will take the Jeff Epstein route and off “himself” in prison. Hey, the American people, press and politicians all believed THAT whopper, or at least offered absolutely no resistance to such nonsense. Alternatively, I hope Navalny gets assigned a mass murdering cannibal with an appetite for pretentious poseurs as a cell mate. What’s Russian for “bon appetite?”
Priyatnovo appetita.
Another French perspective based on a case study : my mother-in-law. She lives in Brittany, reads the local newspaper (le Télégramme). Just after Christmas le Télégramme ran a full piece on the Navalny saga following the Bellingcat exposé. The way it was formulated, it seemed like the whole Russian state was badly shaken and about to crumble at any moment.
Then my mother-in-law watched the political program “C dans l’air” (the same one which did the “navalny peut-il faire tomber Poutine” bit. After that, her mind was set and she even challenged me (an avowed Putinist and Russophile). Her line was simple : Russia tried to poison Navalny just because he is a dissident, she wouldn’t hear anything else.
I must say I was not good in counterarguing, as I did not think of bringing up the cases of Assange, Manning, Snowden… I earnestly tried to understand how she could take seriously the ludicrous accusations (novichok in underwear, and all that). But she refused to discuss it. I saw that her mind was set : it was spoken on TV, it was printed in the Télégramme, that’s it, that’s the truth, and my opinion is just that, an opinion, without the patina of authority of our official media.
This made me really think and reconsider. I believe we have been way too optimistic in thinking that most people would see through the transparent bullshit we’re fed by our mass media.
– old (>50) people have been raised with a general belief that our mass media are honest and credible. They cannot switch mentally.
– many of the young have absolutely no critical thinking anymore. Our school system is a ruin, it just pushes out robots who do not have the analytical tools to critically dissect what our media are peddling.
I would estimate that 70-75% of the French population falls into one of these categories. And yes, based on what our media is feeding them they believe that
– Russia is a backward, totalitarian country, with crumbling infrastructure and people queuing outside bakeries
– Putin is poisoning or executing journalists every day
– Russians are cut off from the outside world and have absolutely no means of information apart from their official media (the lack of self-awareness is particularly extraordinary here)
– the Russian regime is brittle and will crumble at any moment-
– Navalny is a heroic opponent, and most Russians are aspiring at being like us and enjoying the luxuries of our open and free democracy where everyone can be peacefully heard (as the Gilets Jaunes can attest) and where we have real democratic choices (the EU referendum of 2005 says hello).
Recently I read an article of Le Monde about the demonstrations. Reading it you would think there was 1 million people in Moscow and that the Kremlin was about to fall. This is deliberate ; our journalists are either clueless interns just copy-pasting the Reuters press releases, or paid lobbyists peddling whatever line our americanophile-freemason elite wants them to peddle.
I’m currently watching the French doc, some comments :
– there’s a French journo based in Moscow who’s rather realistic, says that for the vast majority the Navalny saga was a non-event
– he interprets this as “resignation”
– the anchor talks about the vast number of heavily-armed police (so unlike France !)
– according to the journo, the difference with France is that the Russian demonstrators are “absolutely pacific” (LOL !!)
– two professors of the Moscow university were fired for participating to the demonstrations (awesome. If it was me the punishment would be harsher as such people can poison a lot of minds)
– another participant, the JDD editor, is completely out of it. For him, the illegal demonstrations are “an embryo of democratic participation”, the Russian government clearly should not have any say in authorizing them or not. The hypocrisy is simply breathtaking. Also, he has an eminently punchable face.
– Another journo blathers about the violence of the Russian police against the demonstrators. Hilarious. The same media who has never, ever said a single word about the hundreds of seriously injured Yellow Vests.
The rest is mostly a rehash of these talking points. Conclusion :
– these people are clueless
– they form a small clique of propagandists who live in a closed circle, a kind of symbiotic relationship with the regime
– they are not necessarily evil (it’s too strong a word, they are not intelligent enough)
– unfortunately they retain a strong legitimacy among casual viewers.
They live completely detached from reality, and will continue to do so until reality catches on with them.
One last thing out of this doc : there is a very strong pervasive mentality that the “great occidental powers” (quote) have a right to evaluate what’s going on in Russia, and to decide how Russia should behave. This is delivered without any kind of second degree or irony. This is a given. Russia should immediately free Navalny, and Putin should be thankful we don’t require him to come by foot with a rope around the neck to repent and kiss Merkel shoes, as in the famous bourgeois de Calais episode.
Russia should listen to what the benevolent governments of Germany, France, USA, and repent. Or else. This attitude could still inspire fear in the 1990s, but now it’s simply ridiculous. They are really out of their mind, and don’t seem to be aware of it.
@ Micron
I can see that Micron is not a Mini-Macron. Thanks for your take on your society’s relationship with Russia. After all, you are so much closer to them geographically than the physically distant but also aloof and pompous United States and should have a greater understanding of them that comes with greater familiarity. Sadly, what you are describing is a cession of your own analyses and judgements on the matter to those of the willfully ignorant and likely deceptive United States. I take from your description that French society seems either mesmerized or cowed by the fanatical warmongers in Washington.
Like so many Americans, I had hoped that the rapprochement achieved by Presidents Reagan and Gorbachev would be transformative and lasting, even though I was a true-believer in progressive politics and the Democratic Party rather than Reagan’s militant nationalist and fiscal conservatism at the time. Anyone with a trace of objectivity and honesty must admit that it was the United States and largely Democratic Party leadership that poisoned the well, threw a spanner in the gearbox, or however you want to characterize the way Reagan’s dream of making that elusive peace permanent was being methodically sabotaged and degraded until we have imbeciles like Crazy Joe Biden essentially outlining for the world how he intends to incite World War III against the Russians and Chinese.
Moreover, one must question whether the Democratic leadership taking us down this dark path have done so out of true philosophical convictions or just to accrue personal political advantage? I am certain that Hillary Rodham Clinton cooked up most of so-called Russiagate and the tarring of Trump as a traitorous “Putin puppet” simply to win that election and later to excuse herself of so spectacularly losing it! Over the past two decades I have come to revile the party to which I once gave faithful allegiance as a consequence of its own malicious and malignant actions, and can wish Crazy Joe Biden only abject failure in the grand schemes he has planned for our country and the world. France, and the rest of Europe, should wise up and ditch the American Democratic plan while there is still time.
@very strong pervasive mentality that the “great occidental powers” (quote) have a right to evaluate what’s going on in Russia
This mentality has very deep roots. ‘Europocentrism’ is not something that came up yesterday. It is not the place to lecture about history, but in a nutshell it goes back to the
Popes and to the Frankish Emperors, who arrogated to themselves (besides the exclusivity of the title ‘Europe’) the right to judge everyone, everywhere. In the back of the minds of ‘Europeans’ no state has legitimacy if not ‘octroyé’ by the ‘Europe’.
In the case of French attitudes towards Russia we must not neglect the ‘classic’ ”Lettres de Russie” of the Marquis de Custine (a Polish sponsored anti-tsarist pamphlet, like the ‘Will of Peter the Great’) which became a sort of Bible for the ‘Défense de l’Occident’, either from the ‘Left’ or from the ‘Right’.
Hello from another part of France

Russia Expels German, Swedish & Polish Diplomats For Attending Pro-Navalny Rallies
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/russia-expels-german-swedish-polish-diplomats-attending-pro-navalny-rallies
Good on Russia for giving these American vassal states a taste of their own medicine. If foreign “diplomats” participating in the host country’s political process is not MEDDLING, which Washington incessantly and disingenuously bellyaches about when it comes to Russia and American elections, I don’t know what is.
So far, NO actual evidence, only lame assertions floated by political flop Hillary Clinton and her CIA assets, about Russia meddling in Amerika, but ample evidence of the same thing, first in Ukraine (Hello, Hillary, Vicky Nuland, Geoffrey Pyatt, and Yatz) and now in Russia surrounding former Yalie and CIA puppet Alexei Navalny.
In fact, it sounds like the whole dust up on the streets of Moscow and St. Petersburg was orchestrated from the American embassy. Perhaps that entire nest of vipers should be evicted and sent packing back to Langley. Washington is NOT pursuing “peace,” “justice” or “democracy” by endlessly inflaming tensions with Russia and its central government. It is playing a game that should be renamed American roulette wherein someone inevitably ends up dead. I say there is more reason to believe that American spooks “novichoked” the Skripals and Navalny, if in fact they were poisoned at all.
I work in high tech and am impressed by the stupidity and\or naïveté of my co-workers. I wonder if it’s because they are very nice people who never think ill of others, or is it because they don’t bother questioning what they read and are reading from a limited number of sources? In any case, I find it fascinating to think that people who can master highly technical information cannot understand that things are not always as they seem.
Russia should make the offer to swap Navalnyi for Assange. I bet there would be some fireworks then from the western side since he is a poster child of democracy.
Rant alert:
Fireworks indeed! Upon Navalny’s arrival, BHL would certainly adopt this слабоумная помойка into his menagerie. Navalny can congratulate himself accordingly: BHL’s money will be more than enough to secure Navalny’s drug stupor until he collapses. State funeral ensues with — once again — accusations against Putin for successfully having poisoned him.
In the Netherlands, the ‘quality’ newspaper NRC Handelsblad’ (currently Belgian-owned) is sponsoring a special Russia-bashing publication known as ‘Raam op Rusland’ (Window on Russia). Two of the editors – ‘Laura Starink’ and ‘Helga Rottenberg’, both female and Jewish, devote their energy to a weekly newsletter which has only one purpose: ‘dragging down Putin and saving Russia’. Ofcourse they ran the ‘palace’ story (in Dutch), calling it ‘Navalny’s scoop’

RoR also published Navalny’s last words in the court where he claims that “I mortally offended Putin by surviving”.

For those among us who can stomach this, here is a sample of his ‘fiery’ style that makes him so popular in the Netherlands and the rest of empire’s vassals.
“The explanation is one man’s hatred and fear — one man hiding in a bunker. I mortally offended him by surviving. I survived thanks to good people, thanks to pilots and doctors. And then I committed an even more serious offense: I didn’t run and hide. Then something truly terrifying happened: I participated in the investigation of my own poisoning, and we proved, in fact, that Putin, using Russia’s Federal Security Service, was responsible for this attempted murder. And that’s driving this thieving little man in his bunker out of his mind. He’s simply going insane as a result.”
And:
“Murder is the only way he (Putin) knows how to fight. He’ll go down in history as nothing but a poisoner. We all remember Alexander the Liberator [Alexander II] and Yaroslav the Wise [Yaroslav I]. Well, now we’ll have Vladimir the Underpants Poisoner.”

What about the recording where Navalny in disguise talks to a guy in the FSB and makes him reveal that they did try to poison him? It seems very credible to me. Likewise the thorough report about Putin’s palace.
The hogwash about his poisoning is a no-brainer: Navalny takes care of that all by himself: Cocaine, pain-killers, and alcohol (passing for ”Novichok” in MSM parlance). If Vladimir Putin is his pusher, then it’s at least a matter of consent on Navalny’s part, mind you.
”Putin’s palace” is another piece of threadbare nonsense. It works if and only if you have already been convinced of Putin being dishonest, corrupt, and greedy.
Trolling disgrace of humanity
Agree, commenting about this is like being sick and tired about being sick and tired, about being sick and tired etcetera. The only thing might be the lack of panache of this bozo’s handlers. Do something creative, let’s say centering around Navalny and Gorbachev marry in a civil ceremony.
Corona crisis. Russia has not de-based its currency and Russians may soon go without face nappies thanks to Russian vaccines, God willing. Few restrictions in Russia, nothing like the never-ending lockdowns in the West.
And which major Western country has not debased its currency? The Russian reserves have grown during the crisis! Corona has played to Russia’s strengths while it brutally exposed the West’s weaknesses. Western leaders must go nuts. Western audiences will soon be treated to television images of how much better the Russians have it. Tensions have to be ratched up to distract.
