I was watching Russian TV yesterday, and here is (roughly) the exchange which took place between the host and one guest. Here is what they both seemed to agree on:
——-begin nonsense——-
Russia has a major problem. She cannot really deter the USA. Why? For two reasons:
- Russia has truly retreated as far as she can, while the USA have an almost limitless room for maneuver. The USA is under no time pressure but Russia is. If this standoff is not resolved or otherwise frozen, the USA won’t suffer, but Russia will.
- Russian strategic deterrence weapons are useless. If, say, the Brits build a military base in the Ukraine, what will Russia do? Attack the UK and start WWIII which will destroy mankind? So even tiny (and very weak) Britain has nothing to fear from Russia. The USA even less so.
——-end nonsense——-
Yes, there are PLENTY of Atlantic Integrationists in the Russian media, plenty…
Okay, I will answer those two idiocies:
- The USA and the EU are in such a total mess that they are literally fighting both internally and each other. The West’s economy is unsustainable and will collapse soon. The Western society and culture is committing suicide. Putin’s popularity is much better than the one of any Western leader and the Russian society is united around the idea that “enough is enough, now we fight back”. The West holds NO cards at all, not militarily not economically. Hence the total freakout mode of western politicians! They also all have been contradicting each other and even themselves (Psaki) since the Russian ultimatum. Compare that with the Russian “cat with cream” grin of Russian officials since they issued their ultimatum.
- Okay, classroom, please repeat after me: Russia has both nuclear and non-nuclear strategic deterrence capabilities (repeat three times and write it down!). That’s for starters. Next, in our hypothetical above, what Russia can do is simple: use her conventional missiles to destroy the UK base in the Ukraine and then dare the Brits to retaliate. There is no need at all for Russia to nuke London, all they need to do is humiliate the Brits and maybe draw some blood, not in the UK, but in the Ukraine. The exact same goes for the USA, of course.
By the way, the same will happen to any Bayraktar factory built in the Ukraine: in case of war any such factory will be vaporized in minutes and neither the Ukraine nor Turkey won’t be able to do anything about it (the Turks, by the way, will simply offer to rebuild the factory, thereby making even more money, including for Erdogan’s close relatives and friends).
Okay, enough for today from me.
Why don’t I leave you with one of my favorite songs: Peter Bradley Adams’ “So are you to me“. This song is what REAL US culture is, this is the USA I love, and this is the USA which, I strongly believe, most people worldwide appreciate and even love. The harmonies of this tune are super simple, a few basic cord progression and a nice bass punctuation, the melody is primitive in the extreme (basic major scale, Ionian mode if you prefer) and the lyrics as simple as it gets. Yet in terms of “emotional payload” this is a lyrical nuclear detonation, at least for me. That ability to use very simple musical tools to elicit a very emotionally powerful response in the listener is true musical genius (reminds me of Roger Waters, albeit in a different style). Peter Bradley Adams is truly one of the best US composers and interpreters. I will toss in two more names, but you have to look them up yourselves: John Moreland and Walter Parks. Listen to their music and you will see that there is still a beautiful soul beating in the Appalachians, the Great Plains, the Pacific Northwest and in many other parts of this beautiful country.
Rap is not the real USA at all. Guys like these three are.
Enjoy the song!
Andrei
Would it be possible for Putin/Russia to somehow get rid of the Atlantic integrationists (and the Zionist oligarchs as well)?
Putin is not Stalin or Lenin. To act against the Atlantic Integrationists he can only use legal methods. That’s one problem.
Second, Putin is a good man who inherited a TERRIBLE system run by no less TERRIBLE people (those who destroyed the USSR and then almost destroyed Russia).
Third, Russia is a huge country, not only geographically, but also socially. It therefore has A LOT of very bad “political momentum”.
Last, but not least, traditionally the Orthodox Church played the role of the “conscience of Russia”. Today’s Moscow Patriarchate is only a Kremlin mouthpiece with no opinion or conscience of its own (it is really the last truly Soviet institution left in modern Russia).
You want to see how bad that all is when added up?
Just watch Russian TV commercials – they will make you vomit…
I wish we had 10% of the integrity, courage and honesty of the Iranians.
Maybe one day. God is Merciful.
Saker, Thanks for the thorough answer.
Sure, anytime!
Cheers
I sense your sadness about the mindset of some Russians. This is something that has been sadly obvious for a long time. Reading Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina a long, long time ago, I had noted with some puzzlement that many of the Russian nobility would speak French at home. The same mindset as that of the Russian liberals and Atlantic Integrationists of today who seem to think that defecating on own doorsteps is smart or cool and that the West is so, so ‘liberal and nice’ and so, so ‘progressive’. Perhaps Russia’s biggest threat is not external but internal. The idiots on Russian media who prompted you to pen this article are the ones who, like the Ukrainians welcoming the Nazis with flowers, may welcome and cheer NATO armies marching into Russia. S400 and S500’s are no match against deluded treason.
And what makes it even more stupid is that they spoke French with probably very heavy (Klaus Swab-like) Russian accent.
I’ve spent 30 or so years living in UK/JUSA/Canadistan (as has my brother) and there is no way I would ever want to even try to speak English with him.
That would be the most unnatural thing ever
We were both born and raised in Serbia
I know. Same here Tomo.
Iran owes us for Afghanistan! He must pay us in blood along with Turkey and Israel……
Iran then “fought” on the side of the United States – it supported Islamist Shiite terrorist armed groups in Afghanistan that fought against the USSR. Iran supplied them with weapons, ammunition, food, medicines … Iran led the military operations against the USSR in Afghanistan using 4 Shiite groups, whose headquarters were located in the cities of Iran:
1. “Nasr” (“Victory”), the headquarters was in Iranian Qom.
2. “Hezbe Allah” (“Party of Allah”), created by the Iranian leadership in 1982 with the aim of merging the common forces of the Afghan Mujahideen and exporting the “Islamic revolution” to Afghanistan.
3. Sepohi Pasdar (Afghan Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), headquartered in Qom.
4. The Islamic Movement of Afghanistan (IMA) is one of the largest groups of Shiite Mujahideen headquartered in Iranian Mashhad.
In total, about 10,000 militants were trained and deployed against the USSR in Iran.
In April 1982, due to a navigational error, our detachment crossed the border of Iran and, like Suvorov, engaged in battle with the Islamists who were there. In the rear, the landing party received an order to carry out Operation South – to destroy the base of drug dealers (drugs are the currency of terrorists). After the attack on the terrorist base, our helicopters were attacked by Iranian Phantoms.
Moscow did not give the order to attack the Iranian fighters. Then the Iranian infantry pulled up to the place, pulled up and we had to leave the territory of Iran …. by order.
By the way, if Yugoslavia had extended the agreement on military assistance, if Saddam and the warned Muammar had concluded such an agreement with Novorossia, then everything would have turned out differently. From the so-called. allies, only Syria extended the agreement “On assistance and supplies of weapons and military equipment”
Thanks for this comment
Some of this I didn’t know
When this happened Iran had shortly before been subjected to a joint UK/US/muslim brotherhood operation to oust the ‘too independent’ shah and substitute MBs ayatollah Khomeini who only knew some 200 words of Irans native language.
And who was this Khomeini really? His own son said in 2011 that his fathers origin was uncertain.
Anyway Iran in the 80s was something the anglosaxon empire had conjured up.
Even the marxist side in Khabul who the Soviets aimed to assist, originated from the UK’s handling of the shah’s secret police, who the british had been assigned to organise and where it is said the mossad was given the task of organising the torture.
This had for a consequence that the islamists lost faith in islam seeing that their leaders had been put in prison so their, still free, coworkers turned to Marxism
All in all there is no reason to assume that the previous era just after the anglosaxon coup would still be decisive.
But the angloempire would surely want to sever the ties between Iran and Russia.
This is very great info in detail.
I new Iran at one time fought alongside with the terrorist (usa)
But the rest of this info I never new.
If you could write more of this great info it would be awesome.
NATO has bases around Russia. Russia has no bases around US. Russia can destroy one by one, or all at once NATO bases. What NATO can do? Invade Russia? Any build-up of forces will be annihilated before reach critical mass.
Going nuclear means suicide. The only way is regime change in Russia, and that’s not gonna happen. Never, ever. The best move for US is to bring their boys home. They’ll need them when SHTF overthere.
This is not stalemate. It’s checkmate in 2 to 5 moves. Idiots just do it see it yet.
Hi Saker, I think you misunderstood the first comment. I also saw the show. What the gusts was saying ja that Russia needs to act fast and make good on its military technical possibilities and not drag this out forever otherwise only the US will benefit. That is, it wasn’t a call for inaction but for fast action!
However, Paul Craig Roberts says Russia has already won and need no do nothing more. Please see his latest article on Global Research.ca website
Sir, have you written at length about why you believe Moscow Patriarchate to have no independence from the Kremlin? And why do you call them ‘the last truly Soviet institution?’ If so, I would like to read that analysis. I have read similar arguments from partisans of the EP, but I think you have different reasons for arriving at such a conclusion.
He could legally cut them off at the knees by taking the central bank public. That is the last vestige of control by the central bank cartel. He has the political pull to get it done but doesn’t. Saving the best for last or it’s beyond his ability?
Of all the things that would hurt the Atlantic integrationists and the oligarcs that one would really put them in line and on notice. As long as it is in private control they can influence it.
That the vermin are allowed to spout their propaganda tells everyone that Russia is far more Democratic (used loosely) and doesn’t feel threatened, unlike in the US where there’s no mainstream platform for alternative voices, indicating a real fear factor.i
Well rap is originally Jamaican. but it’s true the snow niggers have more in common with these ones than the self-styled ‘whites’, an anti-christian concept. The first convert in the Gospel was an ethiopian; ties we should nurture
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuBP65EUal0
I think you are mistaking my very real disgust with rap (except Tupac, of course!) and everything it represents with some kind of hostility to blacks. If so, you are wrong.
but it’s true the snow niggers have more in common with these ones than the self-styled ‘whites’
LOL! The most famous Russian poet and the creator of modern Russian (in the way Shakespeare was for English) was Pushkin, who had African ancestry. As for the USSR, she did more for African than the entire rest of the planet combined (and many Africans still remember it).
I concur :-)
Dont forget one of the first rappers , Gill Scot Heron from 1970
He did a lot more than rap
The Revolution will not be Televised
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwSRqaZGsPw
Yes, Gil Scot Heron was great, a real pioneer. His contemporary was The Last Poets and they were funnier and sadder because they got out more truths. It’s sad to say that this music is not the least bit dated, that we are still stuck. Here’s a link to the full album of The Last Poets on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTQlhXij66g
Download it, in case it gets removed. It steps on sooo many toes. When I bought the album, I loaned it to my supervisor, whose husband was African-American. I got it back about 6 months later, and the vinyl was totally worn out. I was sorry I even asked for it back because it was getting around.. When you hear some of the stuff, such as, “New York, New York”, you will see why some people could want to get it removed.
Enjoy.
About Rap in France: The French dissidents know some valuable things about rap history. They say that rap in the US was basically dead and passé when Jewish owners of nightclubs in New York City in the late 1970’s revived it by running rap artists in empty rooms until the rooms finally filled up because there was nothing else on. I wasn’t there, I don’t know. But a fact I did verify, is that the first place rappers performed in France, was at the Olympia, the most prestigious venue in France. So it was a high-money top-down operation to insert a toxic form of ghetto culture into a France which didn’t have that particular poison. Normal artists don’t get to play the Olympia until they are at the zenith of their form. Dissidents say that before rap, the idea of North Africans in France was someone walking down the street with a baguette under one arm and a Koran under the other.
The HLM’s went downhill from there as drugs moved in. French rap is mostly copy-pasta of US rap, with a few artists trying to fight the poison while staying in rap.
The NY area of USA,in particular Brooklyn and Bronx-had a lot of Caribbean (West Indians) people / immigrants. The calypso of Trinidad and Tobago -give birth to something called “ex-tempo’ which was the child of the “Rap ” of today. Youtube -listen to “Lord Melody”, ‘Mighty Sparrow”-those two in particular had it out with rap in 50’s and 60’s before them had “Roaring lion” and others.Salaam
I taught Youthbuild in Compton, Watts and all those neighborhoods you read about. I think rap is from the blues. The bragging rights in blues are there. Until you live, eat, breath and work with these kids one doesn’t know what it’s about. Fake rap, created by ME tribal entertainment sheiks urging kids to kill white people in order to line their pockets and then donate generously to Jewish philanthropy is BS.
Check out Li’l Boosie I Remember, it’s chilling but it’s real.
Rap was never originally Jamaican. That genre originated in Trinidad and Tobago.Small twin islee state in the Caribbean Sea.Research “The roaring Lion and “Attila de Hun”calypsonians from that country.Salaam,
I agree that a conventional missile attack on US and or UK bases in Ukraine would be a good idea, similar to the Iranian attack on the Al Assad air base in Iraq last year, a suitable warning, which was given by the Iranians meant there was no loss of life. 16 short range missiles which featured the short range Qiam-1 of which 11 were on target hit the targets they were meant to hit, With no retaliation from the US. Perfect.

> what Russia can do is simple: use her conventional missiles to destroy the UK base in the Ukraine
And what if Russia does not do that? If Baryaktar factory keeps working for years producing drones for Ukr. army.
Saker, Russia can do a lot, I adore Russia, but Russia is in deep problems. The enemy is very close. At the gates in fact. It is not reasonable do deny it. The enemy can use Ukrainian cannon meat if wishes so.
It is to early for celebrations.
The biggest problem is a huge part of Russian population (specially the young) is not aware how big the problem is.
Okay, you need to remember a few factoids:
1) Bayraktars are easy to shoot down for Russian air defense systems
2) Bayraktars are even easy to shoot down for Russian combat drones
3) Bayraktar command posts are easy to locate and destroy
In other words:
The sale of Bayraktars is great for Ukie morale, great for Turkish finances and irrelevant for Russia.
Besides, the more they build, the more we will destroy.
A Russian general said yesterday about the 2000 extra US troops sent to Europe: “2000 extra corpses – who cares?”
Andrei, rather than, destroy the Brit base in Ukraine and dare the Brits to do something about it….how about, destroy The City of London, and dare the Brits at the Ukrainian base to do something about it…..:)
Truth be told, most of the world would heave a sign of relief. Collateral Damage, isn’t that what the Yanks call it. Hmmm…how do you say oops! in Russian…..
Cheers M
destroy The City of London
Crazy idea. That would force the entire West to declare war on Russia. I remind you that US nukes are still mostly operational (even if rather antiquated)
how do you say oops! in Russian…..
All the members of the Russian military are adults.
They act like adults and speak like adults.
:) twas a leprechaun joke, should any people like to see London glassed over, the Irish are front of the line, but a little levity in the face of such madness………otherwise, we’re all dead. Besides, I have family in London, so it’d be nice if the Russians took a page from the IRA….”please call ahead”….that’s a reference to a Neeson joke, some movie….please do not take it seriously. Ok, I’m off the practice the Lavrov Art of Black Humour…mine doesn’t translate well into Russian never mind English.

A few years ago in London, an IRA team drove a white van towards Vauxhall and whilst passing the MI6 building, they shot off a mortar which hit the building. It did not do much damage but it was certainly a dramatic psychological hit…They had cut the roof out of the van to launch the device…
That was in the days before cameras were installed everywhere…
So…no need to destroy the whole City of London, just one or two key malevolent assets need to be reminded of their frailty…
“how about, destroy The City of London”
Better way is to defeat their military in Ukraine, Syria… Than chase them back home. Give fighting chance to colonies to liberate themselves. Stripe empire of resources.
After that, take popcorn and enjoy shitshow. Their jobless, angry ex-army will flatten City of London lower than nuke would.
And let them live to fight another day…..have you missed the last four hundred years of colonial history? F’n vermin.
Cheers M
Without colonies they can only fight among themselves. Man…400 years of bulling and pillaging. No-ones candle burned till dawn, and theirs burned extremely bright. Now, time is almost up. Dissolution can start any day now, couple of years max. Remnants will linger for 50 years, tops. Before sinking into the trash heap of history. Isolated and despised by the rest of the world. Or they can jump all those StarShips and colonize Mars.
One day, they can have Golden Billion, up there.
Don’t you like poetic justice, Sean?
This protracted showdown, a match of military and political wills, in the guise of diplomacy, will have to result and be resolved through conventional kinetic power.
There can be only one man standing in this showdown. There is no way to get the missiles out of East Europe and end the Ukie ethnic cleansing threat (and daily shelling) on Donbass other than to strike a nerve center, a depot, a valued target of the West.
Relying on Minsk 2 is impossible since the responsible parties, Germany and France won’t pressure Kiev to enact the 13 steps for a peaceful resolution of the Donbass problem.
The Ukraine government, for what it is, remains a puppet regime, a proxy to use against Russia.
Russia has to act against the US. It should be inside Ukraine, but aimed at US objects.
Small-scale kinetic – maybe, but I still maintain that the big elephant in the room (China) has more deterrence than Russia – it can cripple the Empire’s economic and financial system if it wants to. Yes, it would cause a lot of domestic pain but I can’t imagine that China will silently sit on the sidelines and keep doing business as usual with the West while there’s a hot kinetic war going on.
A few thousand dead soldiers for the Empire is no big deal. Crashing the stock market on the other hand…
You know what you are completely missing?
What a few thousand dead soldier from the Empire would to do the stock market :-)
Firing on a NATO base and daring them to respond would be a poor last option desperate measure, since they will retaliate elsewhere like Syria or sink a Russian ship in the med or shoot a Russian bomber on patrol in neural airspace.
In the end the Russian armed forces being smaller would be limited to its own area while they would control the rest of the globe which would suit them fine.
What’s the feeling on the street among ordinary Russians?
Seems like they just shrug their shoulders and get on with it, not like the Iranians that come out in their hundreds of thousands to voice their disgust.
Sometimes I think Russians are their worst enemy
My impression when speaking to ordinary Russians (not the liberal ones) was that they feel rather nationalistic about it all but really do want to die for Novorussia or Ukraine, for that matter, either. They want to get on with their lives precisely as you write. It may be somewhat different with Crimea as it is considered part of the homeland though in this case they believe that Russian firepower makes sure that no attack on Crimea will ever come to pass. Putin sending over hundreds of thousands of soldiers to invade Ukraine, like its hysterically touted in the West, just has no support at all among the general population, and probably no support inside of Putin’s mind either. Same thing for crazy ideas like casually sending over cruise missiles to attack Western assets on Ukrainian soil. Russians know very well what that would mean. The thing that is commonly ignored in forums like this one is how exhausting it still is to live in Russia on an average wage despite all of the improvements that have been made since the 90s. Yes, it’s exhausting in the West too but who cares? The 90s brought conditions comparable to the great depression but that does not mean that milk and honey are flowing nowadays. Those who are better off tend to have a sycophantic middle-class mindset just like Western middle class, so they are not a source of fervent nationalism either. All of that means that Putin has to tread very carefully, balancing out the needs of confronting the West and what mental and physical resources Russian society can bring to bear.
Not necessarily.
At the moment it is Minsk or the breakup of NATO.
There is enough vested interest in NATO such that Minsk will be the preferred option.
And if NATO breaks up Minsk happens since Ukraine can’t go it alone.
UK press is so full of hysteria..Russia seems to be “testing” UK responses by once again flying bombers in international airspace but at times it looks like they are heading to Scotland….so maybe two can play at that game when UK transgressed Crimean boundaries…..now if the UK does a Turkish style shoot down heaven forbid ….note Erdogan visited Ukr and has announced the latter is to build a Bayrakter 2 drone factory.
https://mobile.twitter.com/ameliairheart/
this person tracks flights etc…huge intensity of Nato and Swedish UAV flights up to Russian borders …search Nato reconnaisance on a certain analysis site saker has links to.
USA claiming Russia is to create the false flag soonish to get themselves into Ukraine oh boy.

What will flight simultaneously to the usa when russia deploys a preventive sudden massive nuclear strike only in the i flight (guarantee of unacceptable damage “usa above 0,975%)))
1) In 2010, the Ministry of Defense announced the acceptance of the results of R&D “Liner” for the rearmament of the RSM-54 with ten unified warheads developed by MIT. There is an option for 11 warheads, but I will only count 10.
There are five SSBNs pr.667BDRM in service (one, sixth, under repair by rotation), a total of 5 SSBNs x 16 SLBMs x 10 AP = 800.
2) Example 955/955A. 5 SSBN x 16 SLBM x 6 AP = 480
3) The Ministry of Defense has already deployed about 150 Yars PGRKs.
150 PGRK x 6 BB = 900 BB.
4) Kozelsk, the third regiment “Yars” in the silo. 30 silos x 6 BB = 180 BB.
5) Tatishchevo. 60 BB. To date, six regiments of Topol-M monoblocks have been deployed in Tatishchevo in the silo.
But time moves inexorably, the first Topol-M regiment began deploying in 1997, so the time will soon come to replace these missiles with Yarsy-_ with MIRVs.
6) “Yarsy-_” with MIRV in Yasny and Uzhur, where everything is in openwork.
In total, during the threatened period, the Strategic Missile Forces and Strategic Nuclear Forces deployed about 2,500+ warheads.
7) Plus long-range strategic bombers (DA) Tu-160, Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3 with their ALCMs and other non-traditional ASPs, such as Avangard, Anchar-Rf, etc. PBV.
8) TNW (quasi-tactical nuclear weapons))). And here we have no competitors at all, even on the horizon – the difference in potentials with the USA is 15 times (!!!) in favor of Great Russia!
9) The entire nuclear arsenal of multi-purpose nuclear submarines (ICAPLs) can also go to the states. Including nuclear torpedoes of the Poseidon type in all ports, at all naval bases. Enough of the allies and tactical nuclear weapons.
10) Profit potential + ALCM accounting rules = 3.500BB!!!
In the US, they know about it, so they squeal before slaughter (slaughter).
I don’t write about the “Dead Hand” because it’s unnecessary – the “Perimeter” is no longer needed. )))
PS The deployed Minuteman-3 ICBMs – 400 silos, 50 cold ones – will not have time to warm up, and the “hot start” will burn the missile.
Trident-2 – not deployed (to be destroyed in warehouses) more than two hundred SLBMs. There are no strategists) strategic aviation) from the word at all – and the fact that there is a mockery of all chickens, this plywood will not even reach Paris!
Of the underwater carriers, it is unlikely that anyone will have time to shoot them; everyone will sink NPA, Zircons, Petrels, Daggers, Poseidons.
The Pentagon and the White House know about this, and therefore they will be hysterical before the slaughter, the slaughter of cattle and small cattle!
Sorry, I’ll take that under advisement.
What concerns is should things get hot, the USA (having and being the only state to have used nuclear weapons) with the crazies running the asylum it’s frightening. There are those ‘ indispensable exceptionalist’ who believe nuclear is winnable. Should that path be choose-recall Golda Meir the Israeli PM-telling journalist -Alan Hart-If there is war and Israel is losing,Israel “will ” use their nuclear weapons. Its quoted in Hart’s book “Zionism the real Enemy of the Jews”when he had an interview with PM Meir. Hot war the USA loses ( so too Wall Street / City of London) and therefore Israel also loses! Salaam.
If it gets from bad to worse I wonder in what time could the U.S/Nato deploy a fully combat ready Army group size formation in Europe compared to Russia?
Not for how much.
They will prepare for the war in a year, prepare for the exercises almost a lot, well, at least half a year. The United States has a real problem with logistics, as with everything else.
But the main thing is that the United States will not fight on the territory of Western and Central and Eastern Europe.
They will never be – they will run away in advance, because. the horse is known and zhasen.
Not for how much.
They will prepare for the war in a year, prepare for the exercises almost a lot, well, at least half a year. The United States has a real problem with logistics, as with everything else.
But the main thing is that the United States will not fight on the territory of Western and Central and Eastern Europe.
They will never be – they will run away in advance, because. the horse is famous and terrible.
Wrong question.
The correct question would be HOW would the US bring any militarily meaningful force to Europe.
Not by air – that only works for light infantry.
Not by sea – Russian hypersonic weapons (and a few chosen subs) have closed that option
Not by land, geography prevents that.
Maybe Trump’s “Space Force” will achieve that miracle through space? (just kidding!)
Not to mention that if the Russian General Staff got wind of any US operation to deploy a meaningful force in Europe, it would immediately disable or even destroy any sea port or airport which could receive them.
Last, even if they land, say in France or even Portugal, they still need to cross the entire European continent.
And if they land in Poland or Estonia, and their life expectancy will be counted in minutes.
Bottom line:
All that crap about “sending in forces” is just Sleepy Joe trying to look “tough” to the crazies at Fox don’t crucify him for being a “Russian asset” the same way the Dems crucified Trump for the alleged same crime (proven false since, but nobody apologized for anything)
People! YOU HAVE TO STOP TAKING THE WESTERN MEDIA SERIOUSLY!!!
(sorry for the yelling, but this is becoming urgent!)

My gut feeling tells me that would really like Peter Rowan’s music….
More good news from Belarus. Lukashenko intends to purchase all the Russian weapons brought to Belarus. New training centers will be established to train the Belarus military on the systems.
So, the Poles, the Ukies, the Baltic midgets all have a new neighbor. He’s going to look and feel like Russia. And it is a permanent look.
https://colonelcassad.livejournal.com/7425518.html
So, Kaliningrad, Belarus, Crimea and western Russia present an enormous strategic problem for warmongers. Add the subs in the Baltic and Black Sea, the surface ships, too, and you have a density of death for any attackers.
As for the North, the Arctic presently is virtually a Russian zone, touched only by some Norweigian outposts and a small contingent of frozen ass US Marines practicing to be dead should things go south in the Russian badlands.
Lukoshenko (Luka hohol) has nothing to buy – he is a beggar and lives at the expense of Russia, a beggar.
He again wants to get the latest samples of the Air Force and air defense-missile defense for free, so that later he can again blackmail the Russian Federation.
The answer was given to him repeatedly! – only Russian air bases, but he has been refusing us for 30 years.
I don’t like Lukashenko, but I have to tell you that Belarus as MANY ways of paying back Russia, most of which do not include financial transactions.
Chrnorussia (there was one, Belarus began with Minsk) and Belarus have no resources other than Russian hydrocarbons (in debt) and a Russian nuclear power plant (in a long time).
Only integration into Russia will save her from death, in every sense.
@saker I’d really like to know what you have against the Old Man. Yes, he tried being opportunistic and flirting with the West, and learned the hard way that this could never work. One more fool in a long line of opportunists. Even one of my favorite Arab leaders, the opthamologist in Damascus, who is courageous, honest, nationalist and very wise, well, he tried flirting with the West in the early 2000’s before the Zionists and allies began a war to destroy Syria. So people make mistakes, learn there can be no compromise with pure evil, and move on.
I have never heard that Lukashenko was corrupt or abused his power any more than most “relatively clean” politicians. But there’s a lot I don’t know, so … it could be I missed it somehow. Please tell us: What has the Old Man done that is worth criticizing ?
@Andrew Neoppalimyi
The Russian footprint (bases) is getting established. Su 35s and S-400s will remain. Ergo, based.
If Luka doesn’t call the location of Russian weapons bases, just training centers, that’s okay.
As for troops, well technicians and trainers will be there to teach and instruct and help maintain the systems.
Belarus military and Russian military have very good relationships.
What matters is the Union State is beginning to form and economic connections are destined to tighten the two countries. The threat to Belarus surfaced in the color revolution and plot to assassinate Lukashenko. The NATO presence in Ukraine is likely as big a threat to Belarus as it is to Donbass.
Russia will be “based” in Belarus where and as they want. Military decisions now dictate policy.
Economic ties – yes, military supplies of new and latest military equipment must be earned and proven to be loyal
But the Crimea still does not recognize the bow.
In addition, he exhausted Russia with his multi-vector approach, a prostitute. If it weren’t for the putsch, he would still be groaning for money, promising, deceiving.
And with the construction of a high-speed railway, China-Europe would be completely insolent.
I would think now is the time to put differences aside, i.e. united we stand, divided we fall. Remember, NATO specialises in divide & conquer techniques. Just look at this possible PsyOP against Spetsnaz:
https://www.rt.com/russia/546391-trans-woman-security-service/
Whatever Lukashenko did to annoy Putin can be sorted out later, once the NATO-created crisis is resolved.
What makes you think Putin is even “annoyed” at Lukashenko ?
When that British warship encroached on Crimean territory last year and Russian forces bombed ahead of it as a warning, there was a disagreement in the UK cabinet. Johnson overruled them and went ahead with the provocation. Johnson insisted the Russians should not be in Crimea. He can have that opinion but according to International law an occupier whether right or wrong has certain rights, he can stop by force any interloper, as an example try crossing the Golan Heights, the West Bank or US occupied Syria with no authorization and see what happens.
By moving their bases and fleets into Russian backyard, NATO has given Russia almost total escalation dominance. For any desired level of action it has plenty of NATO targets to choose from – without touching the mainland of major Western countries.
But for NATO there are very little targets to retaliate – only few bases in Belarus, Armenia and Syria.
So in the case of serious escalation NATO has only two bad options – either step down or attack Russian territory. The first is major humiliation, the second suicide.
By moving their bases and fleets into Russian backyard, NATO has given Russia almost total escalation dominance.
Absolutely correct.
Again i repeat that we will only survive if we all follow the most important commandment of God. ” You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself ” The law of devine love is the standard for all human actions ” and must be followed or we will perish
Catholics with their love (for their) God staged genocide all over the world – Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania, America. Everywhere they shouted: “God is with us!” and killed, robbed, raped everyone in the name of the Catholic God.
Your god blessed the European national fascism of Adolf Hitler, his crusade to the East against pagans and heretics.
Now do not expect any love for your God, your earthly god is called the Pope, or rather the Golden Calf, or even more simply – the Devil.
Dear friend, people who abuse the Laws of Life at the expense of their fellow man, can shout “God is with us” to their heart’s content, but a time of comeuppance will surely arrive. These are mostly primitive Souls who create chaos only to one day rue their ignorance and vanity.
This is a superb video >
Christopher Hitchens has tremendous intellectual capacity and the speech in the attached video is an excellent ‘summary’ of all the bad behaviour of the Catholic Church. Here he really shows a deep knowledge.

Christopher Hitchens is however, one of those British journalists who likes to claim that because he was once in Russia as a student, he “knows” Russia…and he pontificates loudly and often about Russia …and exposes just how little he applies of his interpretative skills on the subject of Russia…
Christopher Hitchen’s was involved with the Oxford University homosexual scene as an undergraduate. Oxford University which produces a steady stream of sewage every year for future MI5 Global Homo Pederasts… who are now embedded with the Azov Nazis…or should I say in bed with….

For a change, Wikipedia has an interesting page for Gott mit uns. I only knew it was on German army belt buckles in the Nazi era. But Wikipedia says it was in common usage, at least in the Western side of Christendom. Sorry to say, I guess there is probably an Arabic version, too. But still, the same god of course. Only one tribe claims to have their own god. What did Goebbels say about “the bigger the lie, the … “?

Albert, thank you for making this important point. As long as the love you are speaking
of is charity, and not the “warm love” we reserve for our family and loved ones. Charity,
or detached love, cancels out thievery, lies and hidden motives toward our neighbours.
Shakespeare wrote; ” To thine own self be true and it must follow, as the night the day,
thou canst not be false to any man”. Woe betide, on the other hand, any man who tries
to give his warm love to humanity, many have tried and have paid the ultimate price as
a result. That is because we cannot do for another, what he is not prepared to do for
himself.
One must make every effort to rise above returning hate with hate, since we reduce
ourselves to the level of our enemy should we do so. On the other hand, if we can
override our personal affront, we have every chance of rising into the state of grace;
“Thy will be done, not mine”. I believe the commandment, “Turn the other cheek”,
does not mean endure undue privations ad infinitum, it means “do everything to
come to an accord” with the opposing party, but should that fail, then one can take
whatever steps are necessary to ensure survival.
Forum address error, write to the White House and EuroNATO member countries.
We don’t like these songs, after 300 years of deceit, your wars and the genocide of Russians, we are fed up with your lies and maniacal passion to kill our children, wives, mothers, fathers and grandfathers. In the vain hope of capturing our Holy Orthodox Russian Land!
“Bible: vengeance is mine, I will repay”!
“…your wars and the genocide of Russians”,
Sorry, but I have not instigated any wars nor have I addressed
my comment to anyone else but to Soul. Soul does not have any
creed, race or colour. Do we need to continue?
Lets close this conversation down. Mod.
Eurocrats are jumping up and down about the “letter” Lavrov sent to them through OSCE asking how they can solve the issue of increasing their own “security” while not degrading those of others. Von der Leyen is apparently circulating all over EU countries trying to tell them about “EU solidarity on this issue”. They are trying to muster some kind of response which would appear as a collective one.
Inflation will be the real killer in the west, there will be divisions and eventual breakaways from different EU plans, unless EU takes action to tone it down. That equates toning down and not placing any new RU sanctions. They wanted to play a wannabe Gosplan and the consequences of that are appropriately, catastrophic. Central planning is a very unforgiving system which requires actual competent people in charge – something which does not exist for the EU.

My heart aches for this beautiful girl.
There was this young Roman Catholic Polack girl whose family weren’t Nazi enough for the invading Germans. Her mother was killed and the poor girl was medically experimented on by injections that killed her heart. The libtards of Russia present this poor poor beautiful girl who was beaten just for being non-responsive from fear and shock.

Domestic liberalism breaks through the next depths of the bottom, trying to pass off the girl killed by the Nazis in Auschwitz as a “victim of executions in the USSR.”

The tune you put up reminds me of the Appalachian classic Shenandoah…most definitely go listen to Shenandoah….
The opening acoustic bars remind me 3/4 North by Leo Kottke…so go to YouTube for both of the tunes I mentioned…..You won’t be disappointed….
Nobody sings Shenandoah better than bass-baritone Tennessee Ernie Ford unless it’s Bergen born Sissel Kyrkjebø.
Sissel’s version is beautiful..…Thanks for mentioning it….I hope Comrade Saker visits Youtube…

There are two versions of Shenandoah sung by Sissel….listen to both by Sissel. Make sure you listen to Sissel singing Shenandoah with Paddy Malone of the Chieftans on the flute…

US President Joe Biden plans to watch the upcoming Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday.

If the USA will finish like in the 2019 Military Olympics in China (they finished in place 35 which is totally unreal) didn’t even get 1 gold medal…
Maybe they bring a new type of Corona virus to China 🤔

“Russian strategic deterrence weapons are useless. If, say, the Brits build a military base in the Ukraine, what will Russia do? Attack the UK and start WWIII which will destroy mankind? So even tiny (and very weak) Britain has nothing to fear from Russia. The USA even less so.”
Obviously this person is being completely disingenuous. Without nukes, the US would have long ago done to Russia what it’s done to Libya. It’s exactly the nuclear weapons which allow Russia to actually have a negotiation position. And the conventional weapons allow it to shape its destiny. But this is obviously just logical and it may even be admitted by both sides.
Guaranteed to destroy both Smallbritain and the United States our NATO.
Therefore, there will be no military bases either in Ukraine or in other countries of the former CMEA (Council for Mutual Economic Assistance).
By the correction of the dollar mass, it’s better to worry, otherwise someone’s debts will be written off, but half of the creditors definitely won’t.
Zero Hedge reports that anonymous US officials believe that Russia is making a fake video of a false flag attack on the Donbas with crisis actors and fake corpses.
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-claims-russia-planning-false-flag-against-ukraine-using-graphic-video-crisis-actors
News leaked of 404’s fake video, so the US accuses Russia of doing it?
US State Department is obviously reading The Saker.
Projection. Shakespeare should have said “Methinkest thou doth project too much.”
At least, in their feeblemindedness, they have given away their own game.
Or still reading Mad Magazine? Spy counter Spy:
“US officials believe that Russia is making a fake video of a false flag attack”
so….ukrops attack Donbass.. Russia presents the evidence….USA says it is all fake and a false flag…maybe says it is proof of Russian army in Donbass and Ukraine…USA presses green button for Nato to go east…..somewhere somehow there has to be an occaision or opportunity for them to fall flat on their face.
Nah. The current US State Department doesn’t read. And most of them are functionally illiterate anyway
It is a lovely song, as deep and still as a mountain pond. A live celebratory version, charming in every way:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=voEzT_oqKQ8&feature=emb_rel_end
Could it be the Russian media is deliberately trying to get Russian citizens to support a war against NATO? Think about it :
*A fluent Russian speaking parroting NATO talking points
*Russian trauma inflicted by Boris Yeltsin-type collaborators still fresh in the minds of the average Russian
*Constant non-stop harassment by NATO in traditionally peaceful forums (i.e. sports & Olympics)
*Constant “colour revolution” campaigns all across the former Soviet Union
I am guessing that righteous anger can overcome the Russian reluctance to war, and few things provoke such anger like betrayal from one’s own people…
Russians only respond to aggression!
Russia will launch a disarming pre-emptive “Strike at the appointed time” only in response to the US preparing for a global strike.
When all intelligence sources confirm this 100%, then the “Start” command will follow and 2750 nuclear warheads of the First Echelon will cover decision-making points, command posts, command posts of troops and forces, silo launchers, military air and naval bases, critical infrastructure facilities.
If they don’t give up, let’s strike the Second Strike with another thousand nuclear warheads!
The structure of NATO – we will destroy TNW (conditionally tactical nuclear weapons).
Following your plan, I’ll be dead instantly, and you’ll die a month or two later from breathing in radioactive dust…… got lots of N95s, I hear they block out everything.

Russian False Flag
Reporter: “It’s an action that you say they have taken, but you have shown no evidence to confirm that. […] This is like – crisis actors? Really? This is like Alex Jones territory you’re getting into now.”
Hi Saker,
I like the song.
It sounded peaceful & relaxing.
I listened to it four times.
My first encounter with Peter Bradley Adams.
I am very surprised this is the REAL US culture.
I am very glad it is not RAP.
It sounded good even through the crummy two inch speaker connected to my computer.
There were no strident overtones. There was silence in the background.
I do not understand what Peter is saying :- So Are You to Me. But it is unimportant.

Thus is not a competition between West and East.
In essence, it is a spiritual battle between good and evil.
Satan’s is the voice of the accuser. Today It spoke thus:

Video Comment: Please watch this video in which journalist Matt Lee accuses State Dept. spokesman Ned Price of veering into “Alex Jones territory” by making the claim that Russia plans to stage a “false flag” attack with “crisis actors” — Price then sneeringly calls Lee a Russian propagandist
Thanks for that. I wanted to mention it in this thread, but your link is better, this video says it all — and it’s been on the news, at least a small bit of this video was even on the ‘mainstream’ news.
This is an important turning point. A reporter actually pointing out the lack of evidence for an allegation from the blob. The empire’s glide slope just got steeper.
If only someone had been present to tell Colin Powell he was full of sh¡t back when he was shaking that vial of powder and shouting. . .
We have to extricate ourselves from this “Officials Lie, Then Children Die” mode of invasive, opportunistic warfare.
How many children died in the GloboHomo Desert Shield attack on Iraq? Look up “Madeleine Albright – The deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children was worth it for Iraq’s non existent WMD’s” But it did not stop there, did it? Then another round of lies, and another million perished under Shock & Awe of Desert Storm. Or was it one and a half million? Difficult to count so many bodies buried in the blowing sands. Keep in mind that the work of the depleted uranium (half life 4.468 billion years) dust is still ongoing, mutilating and killing the unborn and the new born. The world remains silent, and GloboHomo gloats: There is no price too great to pay for the the Master Race.
And now, today, this very hour, more lies. This time directed to Russia.
So how many dead Russian children is GloboHomo hungrily formulating in this new campaign?
More to the point, how many are we collectively willing to protect, and how, and when to take the initiative???
This time could be different.
There is a sense that God has delegated His Mighty Wrath to professionals here on Earth.
Let them go to work.
As for the rest of us, let us offer prayer to the souls of all children lost in war, and to pray for peaceful resolution of all conflicts.
USA left Afghanistan without informing NATO and partners, how he want them to when he needs them.
maybe it’s use them when needed and the bin when you don’t.just recycle
it that what’s going .I am wondering,SAKER please correct me if I am wrong

The West would do well to heed Frederick the Great: He who defends everything, defends nothing.
Russia has always been at her best with her back to the wall. 2-0 against the reigning raging hegemonic powers of their day.
Oil at $90/barrel. More pain for the West.
Gold still meandering at around $1800/ounce.
If a serious crisis was imminent I would have expected gold to be at least breaking through $1900 and oil to be threatening $100.
I hate to say it, but all Russia has to do (I hate to refer to Russia as Putin or vice a versa) is NOTHING. They already called out Nato for the paper tiger that they are. They don’t have to do anything but wait and see if the West does something stupid, which it seems happens all the time, and without any positive results. I mean, Russia really does not have to do anything but not screw up. And the West cannot do anything really except screw up.
Goebbels would be proud of Western Media.
What he called Gleichschaltung is working 100%.
There is only one truth and it is theirs.
Dissent is censored, prohibited or defamed as conspiracy/fake news.
There is a point when Russophobia/Sinophobia becomes tiring even for people which suffer of low IQ.
Cheers from France.
Case in point: this exchange. Whole 5 minutes great for those who want to snort, belly laugh, and worry. @saker

I’m not sure that anyone here would cross the orbit of this music, so it would be rude and unkind not to offer to share. :) I find this performance to be quite beautiful.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvFsr8p5dY8
The Performers are called Mikaela Davis and Southern Star.
The arrangements they are performing are quite unique and creative. This music was not originally created as harp music, so putting a harp player with a lovely voice as the lead is different, and to me intriguing.
The performance itself is more in the format of a recital of four well-known standards. These musicians would expect their usual audience to be familiar with these songs. For me, that made this quite interesting, as when they approached the crescendo in the middle of ‘Wharf Rat’ and I was curious how this group that is new to me would handle it. Or that I found the intricate bit that they played as the transition from Wharf Rat to the reprise of Dark Star to be quite interesting.
It seems strange to be telling people that these four songs they’ve likely never heard of before are really well known standards. But this is from a genre of music that is a) largely American, and b) which mostly separated from the mainstream pop music at around the Age of Disco. It has since formed its own community. This is best experienced at summertime music festivals. If it is on radio at all, its on some strange college station down at the end of the FM dial. Since this music is best performed and experienced as improvisational music played to a live audience, the pandemic has hurt.
I was surprised to see that this has only been posted for five months. I know I’ve come back and listened to it at least three and I think four times, and I didn’t think I’d been coming here that often. But I do know, once I hit play, I seem unable to hit pause. It would be such a shame to interrupt.
Besides, it doesn’t hurt to remind people that not all Americans are ugly. :) If you hear someone talking about hating Americans, you can remember this lovely young lady and her harp.
Technically, it’s entirely true that strategic deterrence is useless as a direct means of countering the Western salami slice strategy of militarizing Ukraine piecemeal. The point that this person was trying make was probably that Russia should think more about how to counter the salami slice strategy directly instead of thinking that strategic systems will keep her safe forever. The Western strategy is obviously based on the assumption that building up pressure will ultimately lead to fissures and a political crisis within Russia that can be exploited for regime change without the strategic level ever getting triggered, so to speak. As Andrei writes himself, Russia has this unfortunate, centuries-old cargo cult tendency of subjugating itself to the West. The Western strategy, thus, makes total sense and is not easy to deal with. Russia can take out bases in Ukraine using conventional strike weapons but what would be the fall-out of that? It would be the perfect pretext for thickening the salami slices considerably by stepping up military deployments in Eastern Europe and in Ukraine in particular, and what then?
The point about the West disintegrating is also true but it does not mean that the West does not have the resources to build up pressure on Russia even while it disintegrates. On the contrary, the very fact that it’s disintegrating leads to the West trying to deflect mounting internal tension by using a fabricated Russian threat as a diversion, in this way trying to kill two birds – internal problems and the challenge posed by Russia being in the ascendency – with one stone.
Absent any possibility of intervening in Ukraine directly, the only way of countering the West consists putting presssure on the West in a myriad of other ways whilst creating an appropriate defensive mindset within Russia itself.
I think Russia stopped caring about the West’s salami slice strategy: Nato tries to lure Russia into Ukraine/Kiev, but it is actually Russia now trying to lure a Western invasion of Ukraine. That is a judo move!
Makes no sense to me. A full-out Western invasion of Ukraine aka full Natoization is exactly what the West wants and what Russia has declared a red line against.
It makes sense: that would mean the USUK would get trapped in a Vietnam-style occupation: 50% of Ukrainians is not necessarily pro-Nato, plus you can add some Kadyrov’s men, Cossacks and other Russian volunteers.
It also gives the Russians a chance to really fight USUK without Nato article 5 getting triggered.
It will make the USUK look like agressors on the world stage and become increasingly internationally isolated.
USUK is trying to lure, by proxy, a Russian invasion all the way up to the Dniepr. If the Ukrainian proxies don’t attack Donbass or if the Russians do not respond then USUK special forces will have to preemptively invade Kiev to lure a Russian invasion, but i think Russia will not respond even then, so that leaves the USUK trapped in Vietnam 2.0
I think Ukraine balkanization is increasingly what looks like the best option here. This probably would mean the Russian supported Novorrossia of some sort and Poland land grabbing something in the west. Another option of course is that Ukraine gets economically weaker and oust the western puppets on their own or a little bit of outside nudge.
The third option, which can also be in connection to the first option is that the west keeps pumping billions in order to keep Ukraine viable. The Return On Investment for this of course is an attack platform, but I have a hard time believing that Russians would let actually threatening Nato deployments build up in Ukraine.
If there is such a resistance potential in Ukraine, then why is it not already at work against Azov? It’s surely better to fight Western proxies than the West itself. It’s not happening, so there is no reason to believe that it would be happening if there were a direct Western presence in Ukraine. Actually there is already a direct Western presence in Ukraine, and no resistance.
Russia’s Red Line is precisely constructed so USUK would test that red line:
Putin did NOT define his red lines, he only stated that “Russia has many red lines”.
USUK wants to erect an Iron Curtain along the Dniepr, for that a Russian invasion to Kiev is necessary, that can only be accomplished by sending a USUK trigger force to occupy Kiev. But what if Russia still does not invade?! Then USUK will get trapped in Vietnam 2.0
There can be no doubt that Ukraine in Nato is a red line.

You “stole” my comment, thelepaty?. I ve just tought to recommend Saker to check on him. He was from the 70s but his music reflects more what is going on today in the US ie. a mountain of homeless people, massiv deaths due to overdoses, increasing violent deaths, crime in general, etc, etc this is concealed by the MSM that shows another face of the US that is not there any longer but deceives the worled around inclusive “the integrationists”. There are some of his songs that give me goosebumps “Winter in America”, “Home is where the hatred is” “the bottle”. Check on this Saker and whoever on this forum that dont know about him. BTW very nice piece you recommended Saker I will check on the other two.

Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation
February 4, 2022
Six Russian BDK anchored in Syrian Tartus
A detachment of the Northern and Baltic Fleets, consisting of 6 (six) large landing ships (BDK) of project 775M, arrived at the logistics center (PMTO) of the Russian Navy in the Syrian port of Tartus.
The detachment includes three large landing ships of the Northern Fleet (“Olenegorsk miner”, “George Pobedonosets” and “Pyotr Morgunov”) and three ships of the Baltic Fleet (“Korolev”, “Minsk” and “Kaliningrad”).
Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties, Rear Admiral Oleg Zhuravlev: “According to the information of the Syrian security authorities, sabotage and terrorist groups of radical gangs from the Idlib de-escalation zone are planning terrorist attacks in the ports of Tartus and Latakia.
Due to the threat of a terrorist attack, the Russian military in Syria has been put on high alert.
The command of the Russian Khmeimim airbase in Latakia, at the request of the Syrian authorities, organized round-the-clock surveillance – drones of the Russian Aerospace Forces control the situation from the air.
Let me remind you that in accordance with the training plan for the Russian Armed Forces for 2022, a series of naval exercises continues in February in all areas of responsibility of the Navy under the general leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Fleet, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov. The main goal of the maneuvers is to work out the actions of the forces of the Navy and Aerospace Forces to protect Russian national interests in the oceans, as well as to counter military threats from sea and ocean directions.
Separate exercises are held in the waters of the Mediterranean, North, Okhotsk Seas, in the northeastern part of the Atlantic Ocean and in the Pacific Ocean. In total, more than 140 warships and support vessels, more than 60 aircraft, 1,000 units of military equipment, and about 10,000 military personnel will be involved in the events.
Few people seen to realise that Turkey and Ukraine have just signed a trade agreement – after many years of negotiations. This agreement is most unfavourable to Ukraine. The Turks offered the Bayraktar as an inducement to get the Ukrainians to sign up.
The Neocon/Ashkenazi rulers of Ukraine have no grasp of things like engineering, manufacturing, energy or the military – just like their American masters.
Due to the drop of the Turkish Lira, Turkish manufacturers of products such as clothing are going to clean up the Ukrainian market. Many Ukrainians companies will move their base to Turkey as the taxes and complexity of operating a company are much lower there. Already Ukraine has a large trade deficit with Turkey although there is no trade in energy-related products.

Joint Statement by the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China on International Relations Entering a New Era and Global Sustainable Development

…
The Parties believe that individual states, military-political alliances or coalitions are pursuing the goal of obtaining directly or indirectly unilateral military advantages to the detriment of the security of others, including by means of unfair competition, intensify geopolitical rivalry, inflate antagonism and confrontation, seriously undermine order in the field of international security and global strategic stability. The parties oppose the further expansion of NATO, call on the North Atlantic Alliance to abandon the ideological approaches of the Cold War era, respect the sovereignty, security and interests of other countries, the diversity of their civilizational and cultural and historical ways, and treat the peaceful development of other states objectively and fairly. The parties oppose the formation of closed bloc structures and opposing camps in the Asia-Pacific region, and remain highly vigilant regarding the negative impact on peace and stability in this region of the US Indo-Pacific strategy. Russia and China are making consistent efforts to build an equal, open, inclusive security system in the Asia-Pacific Region (APR) that is not directed against third countries and ensures peace, stability and prosperity.

Joint Statement by the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China on International Relations Entering a New Era and Global Sustainable Development

@Russia and China will develop further cooperation within the countries that are part of the BRICS, SCO, APEC, ASEAN…” without the EU and the US.
So the U.S., France, and Ukraine have declared that a Russian “invasion” is not imminent.
At the same time, the U.S. has stated that a Russian false flag is imminent.
The false flag is supposedly being prepared to expedite a Russian “invasion” of Ukraine.
So the Russian “invasion” is both imminent and not imminent. Which is it?
The US is doing Schrödinger’s cat as foreign policy now.
Tracy Chapman used to be singing the same kind of stuff. A guitar was the entire music. Her voice was incredible. Her texts were great.
I started loving her production with the words “All I want is to be with you.” She had me on them.
I take the liberty to recommend her. She was great enough to have me doing that.
@Andrei
Just curious, which Russian TV show and guest was this? Almost all the mainstream ones are extremely pro-Putin and the only ones that criticize official Kremlin policy are absolutely cringeworthy (and many of them have been branded foreign agents recently).
I really don t know the English equivalents but as we say downhere: “It’s not yet the way I like it” … and just to wrap it up: “I am paying to watch the whole thing”
You have great taste in music I’d never heard of John Moreland before. Truly a privilege to listen to his music. Thank you.

Britain can piss a lot of people off, especially with BoZio at the helm. Even so. In response to this comment referenced, which is rather belittling of a nation that, whilst not to be compared with times past, has changed the world (as much as folks might hate it); ‘So even tiny (and very weak) Britain’, is thinly disguised hate for ‘The West’. Hate leads to irrational thought. Not slagging off Russia here, but let’s have a clearer lens on truth.
Britain (apparently) has a population of 68mil. Russia, I believe, is 167mil? That makes Russia by population approximately 2.45 times the size of Britain. With regard to population number, I would hardly call Britain tiny. If so, then most countries are tiny, and Russia’s population is not large either. Of course when comparing the largest, (sparsely populated relative to size) country in the world, yes sure its tiny. Most countries in the world are.
Talking in terms of weak, The talking heads of Britain are but pawns of the same small group controlling every aspect of ‘The West’. Of course it would be a silly idea for Britain, or Korea, or Turkey, or even Japan, even China, to take on Russia. The Wolf can only face The Bear as a pack.
Saker – Seems like settling the new gas contract between Russia/China in Euros sets precedent for other nations to do likewise and gives a degree of support to the EU while backhanding the US (maybe makes the EU less interested in getting in the middle of this mess?). Maybe I’m overthinking that but it must certainly be a shock for Washington.
Also, thanks for the music – I haven’t heard of any of these guys so it was a real treat!
Trying to be independent and neutral.
Taliban are also independent, acting only on behalf of their own country and not married with neither China, US nor Russia. Therefore nobody likes them too, they are unreliable on the grand chessboard.
The problem with the Taliban is that because they started out as puppets of the empire, they never outgrew that tutelage. The Taliban have regional centers of power, and never created a national center, even in the long period of the 1990’s when they held power. Most of the early appointees after the Yanks were driven out, are the same people from the 1990’s. The Taliban have never made any principled decisions about what to keep and what to discard in moving Afghanistan towards prosperity and happiness. These decisions still lay in their future; meanwhile there is real hunger and a harsh winter to survive. Even though the Saudis funded the Taliban insurgency, the Saudis are not friends and have not come forward to help fix the mess which they paid good money to create in previous decades. Pakistan’s establishment is on good terms but Pakistan can’t help much due to their own material and, if I may say, spiritual, poverty. The rest of the world and regional powers warily see the Taliban as potential sources of instability. Everyone seems to be just waiting while ordinary Afghanis are in great suffering. The world should “grasp the nettle”: economic aid should be provided as thanks for ending poppy production. IMO, it would be better to channel aid through the UN despite its being corrupt and tainted, because this should be as a global effort, and perhaps it could be one small step toward cleaning out the Augean Stable located on Rockefeller land in New York City. But the rather useless OIC (Organization of Islamic Countries) should also have a sharp focus on such aid.
I don’t think that Russia would bomb a UK base in Ukraine but sabotage? Sure. Both the base and in the UK. Remember that transformer station that was shot up with precisely placed shots, not random, about a decade ago? Stuff like that or “accidents” like the stuff blowing up in Iran, China etc.
Russia has boatloads of options. The smartest would be lots of accidents in the UK bringing it to it’s knees from an infrastructure standpoint.
