This is my corner so I can rant on and on about what bothers me the most today.
Take, for example, the recent revelation made by Russia’s Foreign Ministry that the US intelligence community was instrumental in the death of Evgeny Primakov, who was allegedly on dialyses for liver failure at the time.
US intel may have contributed to Russian ex-Foreign Minister Primakov’s death – Zakharova
Primakov has been hated by Clinton’s necons for his stance against the war on Yugoslavia and creating the model of multipol world.
He was also hated by the neo-liberals in Russia for his tireless work to restore the Russian economy and finances destroyed in the 90s.
Leaving the juicy spy story aside, ask yourself what was another story that happened with the similar scenario? The case with Magnitsky’s death orchestrated by Browder, but being blamed on Putin and the entire population of Russia, with multiple sanctions introduced by the same fractions in the US senate that later introduced sanctions against Russia “for Ukraine.”
Since the 90s, when pharmaceutical manufacturing was effectively destroyed in Russia. any attempts to rebuild a domestic pharmaceutical industry was met with the furious resistance of Washington. The multilayered sanctions on Russia had been in place for the past 25 years, with more being introduced every month. See, for example, the The Magnitsky Sanctions: also known as The Magnitsky Act, or the Russia and Moldova Jackson-Vanik Repeal and Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2012
And the Ukraine-related sanctions, “Concurrent with the signing of E.O. 13685, the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) issued Ukraine-related General License 4, which generally authorises the exportation or reexportation to Crimea of agricultural commodities, medicine, medical supplies and replacement parts for medical devices that would otherwise be prohibited by E.O. 13685.”
How do you like the fact that the US Senate sanctions the transfer of food and medicine between the regions of the Russian federation?
The scenario of medical torture via withholding of lifesaving drugs was implemented against Primakov. Now, however, it’s the Russia who blames the US.
Keep in mind that the global “Mice” always use the same scenarios over and over again.
Actually, if you digest the plot, the story points at someone inside the Russian government being in cahoots with US security services.
Why instead of going directly through the Department of State and Kerry, a diplomat went to buy drugs from a private doctor for cash?
Anyone who is familiar with the American health care system known that it’s a part of the general punitive system along with private jails and courts. It has been designed to intimidate and to keep everyone in line. Those who are not part of this system, are being thrown out and deprived of the necessary drugs and care and left to die.
In the light of it, the idea to go to a private doctor for someone who is not a citizen and to buy medication for cash, is absurd.
But the most important for us part is the following…
While in Russia production of many lifesaving drugs is being hampered by the international sanctions and insiders sabotage, a budget black hole like Scolkovo, which is paid to develop those drugs domestically, brings Israeli companies and their products to replace American and Europeans.
Israel’s Teva and Russia’s Nanolek partnered on the biopharmaceutical plant at Nanolek’s facility in the Kirov region.
Consider, that all they do in Russia is just packaging, with the actual drug manufacturing talking place in Israel.
It doesn’t relieve Russian strategic weakness of dependency on the foreign made medication.
What’s even more interesting is that similar deals between Russia and the US companies are being black-marked as “Chubais and American Pfizer are being revealed as Rothschild’s threats to the Russian security.”
Meanwhile, the same exact actions by Israelis are being hailed as “cooperation between two countries.”
While the US Senators and European Union bosses scream and jump up and down like chimpanzees in heat, companies from Israel slither quietly into lucrative Russian market via “free trade” vortexes created by their sticky littler fingers.
Going back to Primakov’s death: Kerry personally sent necessary medication through his channels. To me the whole thing was a set up by the mice on both sides, to get rid of Primakov, whom they hated, and to implement in his death Kerry, whom they also hate.
The reality is that there is a “Mice” organized campaign to attack Kerry and to shift blame for the US foreign policy from the deep state to Kerry, who actually did all he could to dampen the deep state’s plans.
They set us up and put us against each other so we would destroy each other by our own hands, and they would stand aside, watch and cheer.
Another issue that you should be aware, is that this revelation about the US secret services being involved in Primakov’s death Zakharova made during her interview to Vladimir Solovyov’s show on Russia One TV channel.
Solovyov is known for his self-proclaimed loyalty to Israel.
One of his most famous saying: “What kind of your Slavic ancestors? Jews came to the territory of Russia in second century, and Slavic tribes appeared here only in the 6th century. So, you (Russians) are our guests here in our (Jewish) country .”
I don’t know what sources of information Solovyov uses, but multiple archeological discoveries show that our Slavic and Scythian ancestors lived on the territory of Russia as earlier as 3500 to 5000 years, and even as early as 20,000 years before the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.
If you believe their own stories, Jews at the time were still pharaoh’s slaves.
If Solovyov and Co. consider Khazars, a Turkic tribe, as their ancestors, then they have no relation to ancient Jews and Israel, and shouldn’t use these names as their self-identification. As the Russian saying goes, Solovyov can sit on certain something, or suck on it, but he cannot do both at the same time.
The fact that Zakharova, being a Foreign Ministry spokesperson, has become a frequent guest for the Solovyov’s Cirque des Souris is very troubling.
People took a notice that unelected Solovyov is shown on the federal TV channels every day for hours, tells the society what to think and what to do, discusses the current events with the Israeli secret service agents and pro-Washington journalists and activists. Meanwhile, the president of Russia is shown only occasionally for a few seconds in news.
While the Russia’s federal money are still flowing into the mice’s pockets, the US federal money stream came to an abrupt end. Tragic for mice, so tragic…

Can’t the Russians manufacture their own medicines just like India does? Why they submit to the criminal patent system in the hypersensitive field of healthcare?
If they would do like India they could help themselves and help the whole humanity to get rid of the criminal patent system imposed by Big Pharma that let millions of people die all over the world due to unaffordable sky high prices of life saving medicaments.
Scott wrote: “Since the 90s, when pharmaceutical manufacturing was effectively destroyed in Russia. any attempts to rebuild a domestic pharmaceutical industry was met with the furious resistance of Washington.”
Why does Russia choose to remain dependent on foreign-made drugs? Can alternative medicine be patented similar to open source computer software? How will the Russian elites respond? Since alternative medicine is brutally suppressed in the USA, perhaps the Russians can retaliate by encouraging Russia to adopt cheap and easy cures for diseases such as cancer. Many holistic doctors in the USA are dying under mysterious circumstances:
http://www.healthnutnews.com/recap-on-my-unintended-series-the-holistic-doctor-deaths/
Interesting, in last few days I’ve run into a lot of health articles linked to from “alternative” sites which mention the alkalinity issue, here’s one
http://www.naturalblaze.com/2016/11/hows-your-water.html
Didn’t the US ban homeopathic medication recently? Isn’t Russia more into phages than antibiotics?
Russia needs to follow Cuba’s lead in the manufacture and dispensing of natural remedies to save its people from further deep damage by pharma health-destroying drugs – homoeopathic medicine being the spearhead for this much needed reform. Not only would the cost of health care drop exponentially but people would be healthier in body, mind and spirit for a far longer period – all to the benefit of society. This is a most critical and insidious part of the Zionist plan – to “zombify” people through drugs, and far too many people are unaware of this aspect of the overall struggle. Rockefeller himself was treated successfully by a homoeopath for decades and lived to 96, but in the end left millions to the development of allopathic/Big Pharma industry. So much for gratitude from these scum.
The Pharma approach is dying anyway. It is abundantly clear that the so-called ‘diseases of civilization’ have multiple lifestyle causes, and most of these are nutritional. If Russia was interested, they cold develop a sunrise pharmaco-nutritional industry that would make the bulk of the pharmaceutical industry redundant.
No wonder…
For example, I was shocked last week when I learned about Novatek, “Russian largest independent gas producer” owned by … yet another zionazi oligarch from 90s, Leonid Mikhelson. Here is what wiki says:
“Novatek is Russia’s largest independent natural gas producer, and the seventh largest publicly traded company globally by natural gas production volume.”
The filthy-rich (pun intended) zionazi oligarch is worth over $15 billion !?
I don’t know what to say any more… My illiterate grandma could have been such a “successful businessman” if she were alive.
I remember the immortal phrase uttered by Mr. Konuzin, ambassador to Serbia until 2012, when he, appalled at the behavior of the zionazi quislings, playing the role of Serbian diplomats to the UN agreeing to transfer the Kosovo issue to the EU bureaucracy, said: “Are there any Serbs around here?”
A similar question now comes to me… for some reason…
“A featured image: Sheep shearing by the Kiev junta members and Chubais,”
Can not find Chubais anywhere in the image….
“The fact that Zakharova, being a Foreign Ministry spokesperson, has become a frequent guest for the Solovyov’s Cirque des Souris is very troubling.”
Can not be that they have chosen this way to let go some information about how really US diplomacy/US security services/US deep government work as a pattern?
Soloviov, despite the irrelevant fact of being a Jew ( of which I had no idea since his surname does not sound Jewish at all ), have enough credibility in Russian TV, if not because having been conceded special long interviews by President Putin, so as, I guess, not bringing in any irrelevant character to his show, and so, the same or even much more credibility Mrs.Zakharova has, as carrier of the message.
BTW, as a sidenote, I find Mrs. Zakahrova very favored with that light make up she is wearing at this show, and I also must say that the new size of haircut she is wearing lately fits her better than that she wore before, in fact, I would advise not wearing her hair longer than she wears it now.
Would it be irrelevant to talk about politics of liberalism while discussing “The Young Turks” TV show?
While I can never reach the level of sarcasm of Sargon of Akkad, I try to match the level of absolute honesty and sincerity while writing about the media personalities. Unlike you, I don’t feel that they should be left untouched by analysis and criticism.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvkRXi00p8c
You wrote: “Soloviov, despite the irrelevant fact of being a Jew..”
It’s relevant, because Solovyov himself makes it relevant.
It’s relevant, because this is narration he himself has created and wants to propagate.
It’s relevant because he talks about his own national identity often and even sharply juxtaposes himself to us Russians, who are in his view “guests’ in “his” country. See the video that I provided as a proof.
It’s terrifying to watch someone like Solovyov having a public meltdown in front of his audience on a state funded TV station, screaming at a Russian historian and telling him and millions of viewers to shut up and to be nice to him because “you Russians are all guests in our Jewish country.” Again, see the video.
My parents watched this show and got very upset. Do you want to know why?
They think that since he is on the federal TV channel, it means that he is approved by the government!!
You wrote: “Can not be that they have chosen this way to let go some information about how really US diplomacy/US security services/US deep government work as a pattern?”
Am I right to understand that in your opinion Zakharova delivers a government approved message?
You are in a good company, because that’s what my parents think. My parents believe that this showman, Solovyov, says what the government tells him to say. So, naturally when Solovyov screams that Russia is not their country, but it’s a Jews country, my parents got very scared because they think this is the government policy!
Keep in mind that the historian here doesn’t have his own TV show and billions in funding. The Russian historian doesn’t have a state built media platform to convey his message, neither the majority of people in Russia. The Russian historian came to Solovyov’s show to tell his opinion, and he was bullied, shouted down and humiliated.
You absolutely correct saying that Solovyov had “enough credibility in Russian TV’ that he was allowed to produce an interviews with President Putin in 2014 despite of his rage against Russians in 2012.
Israel is a nuclear country with reported over 200 nuclear ballistic missiles. Israel has a powerful representation in the US, another nuclear country. If Israel’s government and military shares Ms. Soloviov’s sentiments and rage, then Israeli attack on Russia might be imminent. This is how I read Mr. Solovyov’s message.
And this is, indeed, why I find him, personally, to be absolutely terrifying.
Excellent reply.
You (I mean the “Russkies”… ;) ) need to do a FUMIGATION IN DEEP in order to smash the bugs that are still infecting your beautiful country.
God bless you..!

Re the image:
Shearing the Rams is an 1890 painting by the Australian artist Tom Roberts. The painting depicts sheep shearers plying their trade in a timber shearing shed. Distinctly Australian in character, the painting is a celebration of pastoral life and work, especially “strong, masculine labour”, and recognises the role that the wool industry played in the development of the country.
One of the best-known and most-loved paintings in Australia, Shearing the Rams has been described as a “masterpiece of Australian impressionism” and “the great icon of Australian popular art history”.
That painting (or copy) hung on my classroom wall and I looked at every day.
Shame it has been been degraded to show the above idiots. Not happy about that…
I have many fond childhood memories of sheep-shearing.
My grandad was an ace shearer, faster with a manual clipper than anyone else with an electric gizmo ( which he refused to use until too many sheep forced him to capitulate…:-)
I particularly relished the annual ‘humiliation’ of Seamus – a total b*****d of a ram. I don’t know how many times we had a confrontation on the mountain, when the ‘woolly wonder’ seemed to think I was after his ‘women’ – even though I was a girl myself ( I knew nothing about ‘gay’ – maybe Seamus was more ‘advanced’ than me :-)
But I also had a certain grudging admiration for him: it was astonishing the way he managed to balance his bulky body on a rocky outcrop right at the edge of the cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean – sometimes even during storms.
Watching hundreds of sheep packed into the farmyard for the annual shear, bleating hysterically gave us no end of amusement…we would pretend to ‘interpret’ their bleats as my granda’s skinny arm shot out of the barn to to release a newly-shorn back into the flock (‘Jesus Maureen, he’s an enimal – ripped the clothes off me’! )
:-)
Israelis have been forced to admit that the Khazarian ancestry of Ashkenazi Jews is correct, based on excellent genetic studies. That (almost) makes Orthodox Jews emigrating to the Ukraine make sense. http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/leaked-report-israel-acknowledges-jews-in-fact-khazars-secret-plan-for-reverse-migration-to-ukraine/
Did the editorial team of the Times of Israel ever mention that it was Russians who had build Je-RUS-alem? That it’s a Russian city?
There are some excellent studies on this.
Furthermore, based on excellent genetic studies published by the US gov medical website, the population of Israel is genetically identical to the population of Palestine and other Arab countries, thus migration of people from Israel to Ukraine is political and amounts to the Nazi Germany’s politics of Lebensraum.
“Khazarian ancestry” is a myth. According to the above-mentioned US gov funded researches, the European Jews have the same genetic markup as other people in their countries, including the 5% of the Haplogroup E1b1b from North and Northeast Africa.
i don’t believe that Jews are a nation. It’s a dangerous extremist ideology like Nazism and Islamism, that most people don’t follow. Islamic nationality doesn’t exist, neither does Nazi nationality, but still we see then as dangerous political force when they run countries with powerful armed forces and media that threaten to invade and ethnically cleansed other countries.
How many of them are descendant from the 12 tribes of Israel? Where in the Bible does it state anything about a second Jewish homeland? It doesn’t, hence any ‘jewish’ claims to a homeland in/around Ukraine is quite simply false, i.e. not Biblical.
based on excellent genetic studies published by the US gov medical website, the population of Israel is genetically identical to the population of Palestine and other Arab countries
Consider the source, the motivation and the mountain of evidence contradicting this.
If there are proverbially “lies, damned lies and statistics,” this goes that one better.
I read that article when first published.
It’s officially ‘satire.’
In reality it is attempted disinfo
I guess the author was commissioned to preempt/allay suspicions: the ‘tell’ is in the careful conflation of the credible with the ‘absurd’. Chabad have already been ‘outed’ by at least one GRU operative as having designs on Dnepropetrovsk, Kolomoisky’s stomping ground….
The net allows too many to stray outside of official narratives, and credible alternatives cannot all be dismissed as ‘tinfoil hattery’ – especially as the official narrative on both the Ukraine maidan and the apartheid state have taken a drubbing.
Too late – along with gay ‘marriage’ , it’s as likely accepted by many as not.
In the movie President and/or Crimea Way Back Home I thought Solovyov conduct was patronizing and at the same time he was sucking up. As if he can’t be sincerely respectful because this would somehow ‘diminish’ his own omni-importance. I had no background knowledge about him, that was just my first impression. Dislike at a first sight, I guess. In his show he easily becomes too aggressive. He is just too overbearing. I am not his fan. His statement suits him perfectly.

Scott’s always interesting, and sobering, insights into how deeply Russia’s fabric of society has been zionized over the last 100 years, always leave me in a state of shock.
And when, a split second later, I come to my senses, I say to myself: “Of course! Obviously! How could it be different? The same forces that have neutered all those proud Western nations, have also decapitated Russia. Putin is just a drop of water in the ocean, or maybe better, just a bucket of hot water in a bathtub filled with ice cold water.”
I guess one would have to do quite a wide ranging research of the Russian pharmaceuticals industry in order to refute or agree with this.
I have 3 points I’d like to make:
1. ” who was allegedly on dialyses for liver failure at the time.”. You don’t go on dialysis for liver failure, but kidney failure. It was stated a few times that Primakov had a rare disease. It wasn’t specified. Kidney failure isn’t that rare. The drug – one hell of an expensive one – would be specially made in one lab, given that not much of it would be required. To even suggest that Russia should invest millions making a drug hardly ever used is not very intelligent.
2. Re Russia having no pharmaceuticals industry, it is on record on “The Uknown Putin” [I regret I forget which of the 5 episodes ] that Putin helped a man with a vision to produce enough insulin for Russia to be self supporting – and now even exports. I understand the range of drugs like this has grown. So – unless you’ve studied in depth the fields of cost / benefits, supply and demand and risk analysis, it makes no sense to make a complaint about Russian drug industry. They may well be making all they need, and are simply using agreements with other companies because a feasibility study has shown this is the most cost effective thing to do.
3. I am not Australian, but lived there many years. The painter was not among my favourites of the Heidelberg School [which I like very much]: – my favorite was Heysen, whose home I lived close to. Nonetheless it is a much loved, almost iconic picture in Australian culture. I am as saddened to see it being abused in this article as I would be to see a much loved iconic Russian picture being desecrated in a Western magazine.
I – and I’m sure Australians who visit here, might be appreciative if you didn’t do that again. Thanks.
Dear Isabella,
1. “To even suggest that Russia should invest millions making a drug hardly ever used is not very intelligent. ”
Even at the risk of sounding not very intelligent, I would stand my ground and write that it’s strategically important for Russia to insure domestic production of all lifesaving medications. We have seen recently how the pharmaceutical giants cut the deliveries of insulin to blackmail the government.
In reference to Primakov’s illness. I assume that since he was a public figure, we can discuss his health condition. I apologize, I should post a link to an article. In the last paragraph it says: “For the last few years of his life, Primakov was undergoing treatment for liver cancer in Russian and European clinics. At the time of his death he was 85.”
https://regnum.ru/news/polit/2227022.html
2. You wrote: “Re Russia having no pharmaceuticals industry”
I didn’t say that “Russia has no pharmaceutical industry.” I wrote that “Since the 90s, when pharmaceutical manufacturing was effectively destroyed in Russia” there was resistance inside and outside the country to all attempts to rebuild it.
It’s now one of the fastest growing industries , including scientific discoveries and manufacturing.
Here you can look at some of the pharma news.
http://sdelanounas.ru/blogs/?search=%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B8%D1%86%D0%B8%D0%BD%D0%B0

The Western sanctions have helped.
3. You wrote: “So – unless you’ve studied in depth the fields of cost / benefits, supply and demand and risk analysis, it makes no sense to make a complaint about Russian drug industry. ”
I don’t have to do any of these, because cost of production doesn’t matter when the country is under the sanctions and cannot buy medications from the foreign manufacturers.
Why can’t you understand this, it’s beyond me.
It’s interesting, how you mention costs of making medications as a main reason to buy foreign made medications instead of making them domestically. You write, “hell of an expensive one,” “To even suggest that Russia should invest millions ,” “unless you’ve studied in depth the fields of cost / benefits,” “agreements with other companies because a feasibility study has shown this is the most cost effective thing to do.”
But, this story with Primakov is an illustration of what happens when the West refuses to sell to you lifesaving meds for any money.
The decision to make the lifesaving drugs domestically was not made per feasibility studies, but due to sanctions. It’s not intelligent to buy cheap medications abroad, that can be banned at any moment just so the Western governments can punish the population. That’s why it’s called a strategic industry, along with food production and weapon manufacturing. The aim is to develop better new products domestically and to sell them.
You wrote that you would appreciative if I stop “desecrating” Australian iconic paintings.”
I have a question. do Australians have other iconic paintings, or just this one?
It’s been a trend in political caricature to alter familiar images in order to deliver a message to the viewers.
Take, for example, “Scream” by Edvard Munch
https://www.google.com/search?q=edvard+munch+scream+caricature&biw=1600&bih=774&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjnlafNzc_RAhVB6YMKHf7WDJEQsAQIGQ
I found this featured images on the Russian political humor page, and I thought that it has a certain gravity to it and that would serve as a great illustration for my post.
With all my sincerity, I cannot promise you to stop using political humor images for illustration.
regards
As an Ozzie, I immediately recognized the painting, and was pleased to see it being used to good effect. And I’m sure Tom Roberts wouldn’t mind either that his work and art is known beyond the confines of a museum and Melbourne. Besides, art is a medium and a message, a function used here to illustrate a statement.
Isabella is too “jumpy” when her sacred cows are touched.
There’s a name for people who throw insulting personal remarks at people from behind their “anonymous” label.
Mice? Oh – Cowards – that’s it.
Oh – why do I feel I am being picked on? If you look further up the column, you’ll see yet another Aussie person stating she isn’t happy about seeing a painting with meaning to her being treated like this.
Or is it that all people who see things differently to you – whoever you are – are “jumpy people with sacred cows”?
Why don’t you go keep pigs?
I
“Why don’t you go keep pigs?”
That is a great line. Anyway, I’m not going to pick on you. I think you made an excellent point about the pharmaceutical business and the problems it creates.
Russia is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Yeltsin’s handlers destroyed the country a lot more than many realise, and Russian is still working to catch up with where they were before that quisling, and they have a very limited ability to do this. Things have to be prioritized. They can’t do everything at once. If something can be had from outside sources, that frees up resources to devote on those things that can’t.
““Why don’t you go keep pigs?”
That is a great line.”
Thanks, but I must admit -not mine. I got it from an old gentleman who lived his life in New Jersey – as had his forbears. He got it from his Grandmother, so I have to assume it’s an old New Jersey line. But I liked it too, so mentally “saved it”.
I agree few realise the dreadful damage done to Russia in the Yeltsin years – or the fact that America sent agents and money to make sure he got elected, since interfering in another countries elections seems to be the current “issue of interest”.
However, should anyone want to get a good idea of the dreadful state of affairs then, I can’t go past recommending they watch all 5 episodes of “The Unknown Putin” available for free on YouTube.
Actually, V.V. himself isn’t in them much. The journalist who put them together said he wanted to fully explore what state Russia was in when Putin shouldered that burden, knowing full well what it was he had accepted to do – and the risks to himself. It doesn’t pull any punches. It’s the destruction of an entire country and yes, all of its pharma industry was destroyed too. It shows the plant which Putin helped to get up and running in order to become self sufficient supplying Russians with all the insulin they need.
This has grown over the years as best they can – one way has been to do international deals where by Pharma companies come to Russia to set up plants under Russian jurisdiction.
I’m in two minds about this as whilst I am aware of many good uses for Pharma s I’m also aware of the massive power of these industrial giants and the extent to which they have misused it, and also the use of drugs that has gone from being a case of a few drugs with few side effects but great curative properties, to the exact opposite.
The third highest cause of death in America now is wrong drugs, wrong dosage, wrong condition, excessive use of, all by Medics, all legal.
There are huge avenues for natural treatments using light and laser therapy, sound and Magnet, therapies, herbal and plant curatives, that go untested and in fact flattened and outlawed by American Pharma’s. I actually wouldn’t like to see Russia make this massive error at all.
So it’s another reason I see for not bothering too much with “making it’s own drugs”. Doing it’s own research into alternatives with less damaging side effects is a better long term use of it’s money in my opinion.
Thanks for courteous response.
In my capacity as mod, I have watched the contretemps from yesterday develop into respectful amity. Can we agree to call this “The Saker Effect”? It is a pleasure reading your exchange. fk-mod
Dear Scott,
I do not know of your professional background, of course. However, I suspect that maybe it isn’t wasn’t in bio-chemical production.
I spent part of my working life as a lab manager for a small productive facility based in an Australian University, which had won a “Centre of Excellence” Award.
I had also spend years as a research assistant and student. One of our major jobs in molecular genetics and it’s associated bio-chemistry is isolating super clean DNA. It’s hard to clean DNA up well enough to experiment on – proteins stick to it.
I found a company based in California which had designed a fantastic product. Gave you super clean DNA very fast saving time and money. I managed to get the sole distribution rights for All Australia for my company.
Now, had their been “sanctions” issues, I guess many in Australia who had no understanding of the industry of bio-chemistry, would say “why doesn’t Australia make her own”. The thing is making this was a secret. Rather than pay the huge amount of money and take the risk still of theft, associated with copyright, they went for maximum secrecy.
It’s the same making drugs. There are many steps to making a drug, and often it can be that an essential ingredient can only be got via one, maybe two, suppliers in the entire world. And what the American Pharma giants do is lock them up, so they can’t – and wont dare to – supply anyone else. So the world has to buy from American Pharma. This immoral practice you have to know is endemic and extensive.
If you do not know all the steps involved in making a certain drug, and you dont know for sure that it is possible for Russia to obtain all those ingredients, then you are being out of order to criticise and blame Russia and her leaders because they dont make the drug. For all you know it may be they would if they could, but because of this “lock out” practice they literally cannot.
This is beginning to drive me mad. People with no knowledge of a highly technical field, making crass comments about manufacture and production, as though all anyone has to do is wave a wand and lo and behold, everything just happens with ease.
It doesn’t.
I dont’ understand why you can’t see that.
Scott, thanks a lot for another informative & thought provoking article!
