I don’t know if you have noticed this, but the usual crowd of Putin bashers is being uncharacteristically quiet these days, especially the ones I call the “hurray patriots”. Some of their blogs have simply been closed, others are apparently frozen, and those still minimally active are getting very few visitors (nope, I shall not name them here, both on principle and in order not to direct any traffic towards these cesspools). They are all apparently getting tired of chanting their favorite mantras (“Putin has sold out!”, “Putin has betrayed Novorussia!”, “Putin is a puppet of the oligarchs!”, etc.). The reason for that sudden drop in energy is simple: the Putin bashers have just suffered a series of painful political defeats. Let’s look at them one by one:
1) Russia has fully reopened the Voentorg spigot and done so quasi overtly (hence the huge convoy of trucks in the Donetsk city center, to make darn sure it is filmed and posted on YouTube). Whether this will be enough to deter a junta attack is unclear, but the fact is that the notion that Russia has “sold out Novorussia” is now demonstratively false.
2) At the Valdai club Putin made his most anti-Western speech (transcript here) since his famous Munich speech in 2007. As Mikhail Khazin correctly interpreted it, it appears likely that Putin is about to deliver an ultimatum to the West about new rules in international relations. We will see that at his address to the Federal Assembly.
3) Several key Novorussia leaders have openly expressed their total support and trust for Vladimir Putin, including Givi, Motorola, Bezler and others.
4) Alexander Zakharchenko was elected by a landslide in Novorussia. For weeks the Putin bashers had told us that Zakharchenko was the Kremlin’s man (for the sellout of Novorussia, that is) and that the people of Novorussia did not trust him. This myth is now also dead in the water.
5) Finally, the hurray-patriots have tried to lure Igor Strelkov to participate in a nationalist demonstration “for Novorussia” but, in reality, “against Putin” and he harshly turned them down. He said that while everything was far from perfect, those who were calling for the removal of Putin were acting in the interest of the “enemies of Russia” and that they were trying to “set fire to their own home” (Colonel Cassad covered this – in Russian – here, here and here, hopefully the English Cassad will translate this).
In other words, in a relatively short span of time all the lies of the Putin-bashers were proven false, the people of Novorussia made the “wrong” choice, and now even Strelkov has firmly condemned these pseudo-patriots.
No wonder they are silently licking their wounds now…
For the record, however, I want to clarify the following. While I do really despise these Putin-bashers for their intellectual dishonesty and for being, at best, useful idiots, I am not accusing all those who are critical of Putin of being Putin-bashers. There are real and objective problems in Russia and the Kremlin is zig-zagging. As I have said it many times, there is a fight to the death going on between the “Putin people” (Eurasian Sovereignists) and the pro-Western “big money” (Atlantic Integrationists). Putin is fighting on both fronts at the same time: against the US Empire outside Russia and against what he called the “5th colunm” inside Russia. True, he is winning on both fronts (his latest popularity rating are something close to a “stratospheric” 88% I think), but he has not won any decisive victory yet on either front yet.
The good news is that the people of both Russia and Novorussia are clearly understanding what is taking place and that the pseudo-patriotic arguments of the Putin-bashers are having very little traction with them. This is not to say that Putin is some deity which cannot be criticized, but that to be credible with the Russian and Novorussian people, that criticism needs to be intellectually honest, factually informed and well-intentioned, not just a mud-slinging campaign.

The magazine’s annual ranking of the World’s Most Powerful People “is based on voting by a panel of Forbes editors, who consider things like financial resources, scope and use of power, and the number of people they impact,” Forbes said.
The 2014 list features 17 heads of state who run nations with a combined GDP of some $48 trillion and 39 CEOs and chairpersons who control over $3.6 trillion in annual revenues, Forbes said.

http://rt.com/news/line/2014-11-05/#74103
“Despite the Minsk [ceasefire] agreements, firing on peaceful cities continues and civilians are still dying” in eastern Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday, RIA Novosti reported. Putin said earlier that the de-escalation of the conflict in the Donbass region is possible only in case of a real ceasefire. The current ceasefire was agreed in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, on September 5.

In my book that makes HIM the world leader and not Obama. It is worthwhile to listen to this speech a few times.

I don’t often recommend videos, especially beyond five or six minutes, especially if they’re only people speaking as, at 125 wpm average speaking time, they consume about four times as much time as reading text.
But I just came across a link to this (posted on YouTube on 17 October) — with a sound track, and perhaps best described as a mini-documentary.
Though the overall political point(s) haven’t yet become obvious in the first two minutes that I’ve so far viewed — it feels powerful — and so I stopped viewing in order to post this comment. ;-)

Putin may not be some sort of deity who should not be criticized, but in my humble opinion he exhibits honesty and strength of character, as far as I am able to assess from sources I am exposed to, that is sorely missing from other so-called national leaders. He may not be a saint, however he seems to truly have his nations best interests at heart; unlike most western/nato national leaders who seem mostly beholden to the multi-national corporatists, big financial institutions and their respective military-industrial complexes and who put the interests of their citizens and nations behind those of their masters. He, to me, is among the few sane voices within the halls of power. Compared to the obviously deceitful Obama or the truly psychotic McCain or Kaganites, Putin is in a place alone above them. From my place in the States the Russian citizenry appears truly lucky. I can only hope, as the polls suggest, they realize it?

“Europe Is Under Threat By Russia” George Soros Warns The EU To Take Action, “Freedom Isn’t Free”
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/05/2014 – 12:46
The legendary Hungarian-American investor, George Soros, told Handelsblatt that the European Union and euro currency zone could unravel if member countries can’t agree on a unified response to Russia’s aggression in Ukraine. “Wake up Europe,” he chides, adding that Western economic sanctions against Russia, which are limiting the ability of Russian businesses to obtain financing on the global market, are a necessary evil, concluding “Freedom sounds like a free good, but you have to be ready to defend it.”

Putin is a man I can look in the eye and feel at ease, Obombi is a man I’d like to kick around the room and then some.
I don’t agree with every single thing Mr. Putin says, thinks or does, but I appreciate him being honest about what he thinks and why he thinks that way, because I can still make him end up face down in the dojo.
John and Robert Kennedy were slaughtered on the altar of capitalism [the happiness and well being of people is based upon everything except that what is worthwhile], so now we have to face and live with a row of interchangeable and mindless Dem/Rep talking heads, that regurgitate fallacies faster than I can mutter “Lies!”

Regarding the loss of the Senate, the Dems really have only themselves to blame. (Obama blew Dem control of both houses in his first midterms after wasting the opportunity this control had given him.) For this reason I gave $0 to campaigns this year. It is a shame, in a way, but perhaps will allow Dems who have been unhappy with the ways things have been going in the war world to mount some kind of opposition. To the likes of McCain. Because they will not go against Obama. We now have a Repug governor in Mass. Wonder how many Dem voters just stayed home.
Regarding Putin and his popularity: The rest of the world sees what most Americans seem to be blind to. Or ar prevented from seeing by the media they choose to expose themselves to.

With the victory of the Senate Republicans, it is likely that The Russian Aggression Prevention Act (RAPA) will be taken out of committee and put to a vote. Obama is unlikely to veto RAPA if it is passed.
RAPA will confer major ally status to Ukraine, which would make it the equivalent to a NATO member state. This will effectively bypass German/NATO objections to direct military aid and involvement with the Ukrainian military forces.

I think that was addressed.
Erika at 16:59 – the way I see it is that politicians posture but the military will ultimately decide where to put their boots on the ground and where to expose their assets to potential destruction. Obviously that’s not a solid rule, given different political strengths and leaders in different situations.
But I see McCain as the limpest kind of posturing politician, and not a man of power as such. The airwaves will become completely poisoned now with all the rhetoric, but I suspect many people here are already unplugged from that “sound and fury signifying nothing”, and simply take note of real facts on the ground.
I’m the last person to trust for military analysis, but I have the clear impression that the US military is afraid to fight Russia, and rightly so because it will lose, and destroy itself.
Ever since Maidan I’ve thought of Putin as a man watching Ukraine and waiting to see if his deadly enemy would actually be foolish enough to expose US troops in the field of battle. At this point the humiliation that Russia could inflict on the US would mark the end of US prestige even among the rats still left on that ship.
The western culture is saturated with lies, and that’s a shame but it’s not really a weapon, in my estimation. It only really works to keep taxpayers down, it doesn’t change facts on the ground. The sanctions don’t work, and the Gladio forces lose as soon as a local population wises up and fights back. The new US F35 “can’t turn, can’t climb and can’t run” and the US is not inventing anything new – even its treachery is running out of steam, as false flags are teaching the world to recognize them, and to review history in the light of this.
The US has no new cards coming to it in this game, while Russia, China, Iran and countless other nations are surging forward.
I’m greatly concerned about the US since I live there, but I’m not one bit concerned that the bad-cop side of the team took the senate.

What do you think they should be concerned about? Their hasbara paychecks?
While I have several times bashed Putin for ‘betraying Novorossiya’, I am not a “Putin basher”, my view of him goes back and forth with his actions. He has at times sold the out (Minsk is a good example), but I do hope he realizes now that you cannot deal honestly and fairly with the Junta and the only option is to drive them from the Donbass. Also, he must have finally seen that the US and EU will NEVER give him ANY credit for even trying to bring peace, because in reality they don’t want it, they just want to bash him and continue with their agenda. So if he ever thought he could stop the sanctions by selling out Donbass, he must have seen that too is futile. As it stands now, it looks like he is helping them- those inaugurations were not choreographed and paid for by poor people in the streets. I am so happy to see that it looks like SOMEBODY (Putin?) is making a very strong move to portray the DPR and LPR as very real and legitimate countries! I hope this continues until all of Novorossiya is liberated from the fascists!

I can’t get excited about the Republicans winning because it’s mostly a matter of getting shot in the face or knifed in the back, and both parties serve the same fascist masters.
At this point I might prefer the nazis who are out the closet over the Democrats who try to play coy, and perhaps the people will wake up and mobilize sooner.
Mostly likely the outcome was rigged long ago in the usual musical chairs, revolving door, tag team style, by those with real power. US elections are a farce. We have essentially the same problems, and the same solution paths as before — if any actually exist short of total world collapse.

Leadership for long time interested me and I was lucky enough to see live close management of large multinational companies. I had the opportunity to see how it works, does not work, fails and falls. Therefore, to understand what is happening to the white man’s civilization. I think our western civilization (and certain historical and cultural reasons, what I write below do not apply to the Asian, Russian civilization).
The elite of our Western civilization has produced so far the most comprehensive theory of leadership and management systems of various kinds. A paradox of civilization, however, is that all their skills and efforts is wasted on “micromanagement”. On excessively detailed and perfectionist management sub-processes. But not control society as a whole – holistically. Missing the main and most important assumption – for the conduct of one not taken responsibility. Or do you know someone like that?
My answer to the fundamental question therefore is: White man does not and is not intended built civilization anywhere. Literally just hanging in space by uncontrolled Brownian motion, reactive. If you think about any lines you know, it’s just a spectacle that actors themselves believe.
In fact, it’s even worse. The elites of our civilization have decided not to allow real and solid management. Do you think it’s a coincidence that all “non-democratic” regimes that over the last decade the US regarded as enemies (Iraq, Libya, Venezuela, the latest – Russia), have purposeful leadership?
The ideals of leaders of Western civilization are fast-moving solutions, “quick wins”. Time in this world counts in quarters, released only by constant “growth”. I did not encounter the approach for a very long cycles. Which would rely on the fact that some processes are maturing long and the results obtained to the next generation. This long-term thinking in decades and centuries would be the responsibility of the Company’s characteristic. (This quick wins corporate thinking is transformed into governments as liberalism. This also visible as people from corporations are taking positions in governments. Reagan, Cheney, Rumsfeld, bunch of Goldman Sachs dolls.)
Based on personal experience, let me say that our Western elites have no choice. Not enough personality between them, which should lead to a talent, knowledge, personality dispositions and should keep the space and support for long-term training. The company management requires special skills. Western society leaders requires fewer qualifications than is needed to guide the scooter and at time they leaving office they are hated to the last bone by their own population. Now look at Putin

The Big Bang Theory
For most of my life it has been accepted fact that nobody could win a nuclear war, it would be MAD, mutually assured destruction.
The chicken hawks (evaded serving themselves but love war), never accepted that. There had to be a way.
That’s what Star Wars was about, science fiction stuff, a space-based armada that would zap every missile out of the sky with lasers. American scientists never came up with the technology although all the productivity gains through the years they tried and failed were poured into the black hole of the defense budget.
That’s what the bmds are for.
Of course, there is never going to be a system that could successfully defend against Russia’s nuclear arsenal. A necessary component has to be the rapid degrading of Russia’s nuclear capacity.
The U.S. has to strike first, reducing the tactical situation to “mop up.” It helps the scheming that as the U.S. civilization devolves, the figure for “acceptable losses” gets higher. Romney helped the process of defining vast numbers of Americans as “surplus to requirements.”
The horror of this is that if they solve the technical issues, the best defense for Russia is to strike first herself.
When the Ukrainian pols started speaking publicly about not renewing, and maybe breaking, the leases and treaties on Sevastopol and Crimea, this was an existential threat to Russia. Putin’s response made the colour revolutions look like karaoke night at the bar.
A supine Ukraine in NATO, her territory open for Americans to use as they will, is another existential threat to Russia. She needs a stable, non-aligned buffer zone.
In this game on a four-dimensional chessboard, the Donbass is just a fly speck.
When the Donbass tried to follow Crimea, the answer was NYET! By inclination and because the public had embraced the resistance, Putin has been forced to play for the most difficult outcome: independence for the Donbass won without embittering the next two generations of Ukrainians.
Remember his appeals for humanitarian corridors to release troops from the cauldrons? Imagine the long-range political percussions in Ukraine if in any one of them the resistance had exterminated a whole battalion of trapped troops, shooting fish in a barrel. “Never forget! Never forgive!”
Zak’s response to this plea/directive was the one great propaganda coup on the right side of this war. If we’re still here in 30 years, I wonder if the historians will recognize that factor.
Cassandra
Some states or groups have unquestionably broader objectives to which their management aims: US to maintain a world’s leadership position, Israel survive, China increasing production to get economic strength and enhance the well-being of the population, Russia stabilize and modernize economy .Most less developed countries have content with the desire to get closer to those of the most developed or at least not to increase distance from them. In fact, however, it is only a partial objectives defined against the environment.
Capitalism is in crisis and nobody knows what to do. Although it is today a popular assertion that it is easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism, but it just ignores the problem.
Let me give you a personal experience. In the 80 years I was involved in the prognosis of one of the agricultural sector. Most researches at the time only extended existing trends and the question for them was whether the annual growth will be 2 or 4%. Then came fall of the Berlin Wall and none of it is true. We have identified possible natural and social limits of the sector and to come to a level at which the output stabilizes. The result is substantially still valid. If I was ask to do similar prognosis today, I would not dare. Conditions are more turbulent, the variance of possible trajectories substantially larger, prognosis and within a few years highly uncertain. Import of cheaper products or alternative products or changed economic conditions or legislative branch may dispose of a new rules in few months. ( Like Sanctions)
The world was beautiful in the 50s and 60s of the last century with the hope of world peace and unending technological development. Technical development is still rather accelerates, but the optimism disappeared somewhere.
There is a need to have one basic thing without which no system can not function – stability. And since the society was founded, and finally politics, to ensure stability. The one that is not is not up to specific moments functional, is actually useless.
The fifties and sixties can be compared to the industrial revolution in the late 18th century. There was exercised in full progress to satisfying the hunger for resources. Today, we need something else – optimize, streamline, to do more with what we have and not have to give up progress for all. That way it is possible, but the system is still set to the previous model. Growth today is cannibalism.
Consistent way democraticized classical capitalism leads to collapse, not to manage it. East modified it. They introduced state capitalism, which separates economics from politics. ( See oligarchs in Russia V oligarchs in Ukraine and outputs ) Just as the West has done a tremendous step forward by changing social conditions, when separated church from state, today the society in the east separated economy from politics, which continues to not allow the microcosmos of group interests destroy the macro-world of common framework.

In contrast to the West, Russia believes that Sunday’s voting in the two self-proclaimed republics marked an encouraging step towards reconciliation in Ukraine.
On the eve of the voting, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in an official statement the elections complied with the Minsk accords and offered a chance to put the situation in southeastern Ukraine to the track of a fruitful dialogue.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia was ready to recognize the results of elections that “have importance in what concerns power legitimization”.

On Monday, the White House condemned what it called “illegitimate, so-called elections” held on Sunday in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions and warned economic penalties on Russia “will rise” if Moscow continues to violate the Minsk peace agreement, reached in September.
“We are concerned by a Russian Foreign Ministry statement today that seeks to legitimize these sham ‘elections’,” Bernadette Meehan, spokeswoman for the White House National Security Council, said in a statement.

– It is necessary to admit that Ukraine is a failed state and its leaders are corrupt incompetents. President Poroshenko publicly praised Nazi Collaborators and had to catch up with his Prime Minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the airport as he tried to escape with the money he had stolen. These are therefore not reliable partners which the United States can use to challenge the Russian Federation
@ The Rift,
Q: putin bashers are heavy handed, argue, demonize, swear and use many other disgusting tactics to destroy discussions and any real intellectual conversations. They are trolls as guilty as the Bandernazis.

“Putin’s speech at Valdai in which he concentrates a great deal on the Rule of Law, International Law and Human Rights will go down in history as probably the best speech ever given by a world leader.” [Gerry]
D’Accord!
My number one will always be Che at the UN.
“We have come here today to call things by their true names.”
But Che was arguably not a world leader.
Eisenhower on the military-industrial complex should be on the list.
Haile Selassie’s futile plea for assistance as Fascist Italy was about to devour him belongs.
Putin’s Crimea accession speech was a barn burner. During his speeches to the Duma, I find myself watching the eloquent non-verbal communication between a woman on the left and a man in the centre. They are not fans. Lots of eye rolling and lip pursing. Liberals, I would guess.
After the Crimea speech she was on her feet applauding, and as she caught her friend’s eye her whole body seemed to give a little Gallic shrug. “What can you do? When he’s right, he’s right.”
Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner raised the bar the other day with her UN speech on vulture capitalism. The people who walked out during her speech are seriously flawed human beings. She educated, so rare.
Cassandra
Cassandra – you said in an earlier thread you weren’t sure how to get your name to appear at the top of your comment, i.e. “Cassandra said…”
Below the comment box, go down to where it says “Choose an identity”
There are four circular buttons where you can choose an option, and the first one is checked by default, “Google Account”. Go down 2 more and select “Name/URL.” This opens up a new text box where you type your name. There’s a box underneath to type a URL link if you want to, but this is NOT necessary.
Really if Google had simply changed the label of this button to read “Choose a Name for Yourself” it would have saved a lot of confusion for people.
As I’m sure you realize, it’s really useful for everyone to see the name at the beginning of the comment, because there are good, logical reasons to skip past the Anonymous comments.
But in this blog it’s a little hard to figure how to have your name show, so a lot of people sign their comment at the bottom, as you do.
From time to time someone like me reveals the secret to making this Google blog pretend it’s in the 21st century. Hope this helps :)
Speaking of Putin, taking advantage of the river Pisuerga passes through Valladolid, and considering one of the indictments on Strelkov by babushka Cassandra, at the time, he’s a spy, I propose the following discussion:
( To break the fire, I will throw two questions )
Is being a spy evil? O, depends on who you spies for? Is it wrong to spy in wartime?
I think we have to dignify the discredited profession of spy because, like everything else, there are really evil spies, of course, but also spies to fight for a year and they are good, there are those who struggle many years, and are better … and there are those who struggle all life, and these are the essential …
For the international day of the good spy!

Very interesting indeed. And more true than most people are aware of. Thans for posting this youtube:

FWIW: Finland’s president gave an interesting interview – but The Guardian.co.uk. Header misleads:
Finland warns of new cold war over failure to grasp situation in Russia
[.]
Many Finns worry that the insecurity and uncertainties of the cold war years are returning as the standoff with Russia over its annexation of Crimea and destabilisation of eastern Ukraine continues.
“We are in the position in the west of asking what is Putin up to,” Niinistö said. “Putin keeps saying the west and Nato are hostile. [He says] they have deceived Russia with Nato enlargement and they are undermining and humiliating Russia. “So this is a situation that is not promising. I have said we are almost at the gates of a new kind of cold war that could suck in all of Europe.’
Niinisto discussed the Ukraine situation with Putin in person in August and said he remained in touch with the Russian leader. He said the US and EU were partly to blame for not paying enough attention to Putin’s assertions that the west was weak, hedonistic and hostile to Russia’s values, including religious values. The EU had failed to appreciate its plans for closer ties with Ukraine posed a “huge problem” for Putin.
[.]

We can only pray “the new cold war” remains cold.
The comments are equally interesting.
I’m an Eurasian living in the West (the crumbling EU/Europe under the €/$ totalitarism regime).
I am seriously considering my dissidence (my own «regime change» from «Checkpoint Charlie European Union/Europe» to Russia.
Of course I’ll learn and study Russian (through its literature) and it’s the culture. I’ve got a good «ear» for languages: I’ve learned a couple whilst moving from countries and continents.
President Vladimir Putin protects, loves, respects his people: he is the only Statesman alive in the world.
The «troika neocons», the EU/ECB/ECB/IMF «elites» despises/hates/loathes/spits on the «peoples» of Europe.
Washington(Nuland) said «Fuck the EU» as we know. The people of America are also suffering terribly.
My country is under the international and internal «troika» diktat (IMF/EC/ECB/EU. You can not imagine the suffering and humiliation of the people of my country. It’s beyond words…
I’ve also got double nationality … for all its worth. I’m not saying the name of my country because I am convinced that I’ll be bashed as a «Chihuahua» or «Piglet». I wouldn’t like that at all.

Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner may give dozens of speeches against the vultures, yet she is Vulture no.1 of Argentina. Educated.? surely, Supreme Kleptocrat, lacking ALL compassion, educated in lying, manipulation, asfixiation of Argentina, international money laundering of public assets, and “you are with me or against me” logician. The Empire could not have chosen someone more adequate. Would she attempt to have Argentina to enter BRICS, doubtfully will be accepted.BRICS does not need the enemy inside. Her pledge for multipolarity is her claim for making of Argentina a perennial private hunting ground for herself and acolytes. No surprise, she did not accompany the other Latin American countries in withdrawing their ambassadorscfollowing the late genocide of Palestine.
After listening to the Munich 2007 speech it is clear that the Empire refused to listen then and is completely determined to play all the stakes for maintaining hegemony, even and essentially, suicide.
o/t: When Obama became President, he shed his democratic facade, and revealed himself to be a lying fascist republican. But white republicans hated him for not being all white…
Obama was very releaved (sic) when the republicans took control of the House in 2010, and he never had to worry about passing any progressive legislation after that.
The US has one fascist imperialist totalitarian party, which is divided for public appearances into dems and gops. The progressive majority if citizens have been kept out of power since 1980…
Putin stands up for a non-imperialist Russia, which drives US and EU crazy…
Re: Putin and Russia are one…looks like Russia will have to share him with the rest of the world per Forbes Mag.
As for the mystical union of the Russian people with Putin…well that will happen in the crucible of tide and time. Lenin had nothing like this man. Putin has neptune ( higher love) conjunct Saturn (tests, work karma ) in the 12th house of the collective consciousness. Venus is in his first house — he really is a cuddle bunny! underneath that scorpio hidden stuff of outward personality. Pluto ( great power, wealth) is in Leo ( king, ruler) at his midheaven conjunct his south node i.e. he has done this before and is well versed in it…The Russian people will stay loyal to him this year through thick and thin. He is able to communicate with them effectively and they trust his love for them. His mars is 26 degrees of Sagittarius—would I say he gets divine inspiration? Oh yes! and very practical help from the knowlege-center of the Galaxy..He can manifest as creatively as Suvorov and, what is more, encourage others to do so also. His soul purpose is to secure the safety of the land of Russia ( N. node in the 4th house ) for the Russian people. Betrayals will come from friends and associates but never the people.
This what we are up against.

RUSSIA ANNEXED DONBASS

Maybe make an institution where the few SANE can HIDE OUT.
When it comes to that two-front war, I would say that, giving some weight to that long economic discussion clip posted a while back, Putin had better make it a priority to gain control over the central bank or many of his clever moves will be for naught.

Nuff said.
The “Putin bashers” and the (what Gilad Atzmon refers to as) anti-anti-zionists not only use the same smear tactics, they appear to be, to a large degree, the very same people. No surprise there, though. Both genuine anti-zionism and Russia are the current top enemies of zionists (IE: Israel).
Regarding the bandera nazi threat against Novorossia, I think inside the ZPC/NWO houses of depravity there is some conflict about how to proceed. One side wants all out war to resume, the other wants to take a more cautious approach. Both of these fascist factions want the same thing in the [former] Ukraine, but the latter group are more realistic about the predicament they have gotten themselves into, and want to limit this war against Russia to a “low intensity” campaign (for now), since it is rather obvious another major push on Novorossia would be the banderlog’s undoing (and the zio-fascists/fascists would be deprived of the Ukraine altogether as a staging ground for their war on Russia). The more extreme the zionists (& co) play their hand, the faster they will burn themselves up.

“Maybe make an institution where the few SANE can HIDE OUT”
Sanity in the USA is a thought crime. Has been since the beginning of the 1980’s. I suspect the German nazi of the 1940’s would admire the current nazi-like political state of the USA and tip his silly looking hat to the Israelis that brought it about.

I would make a point regarding the US Mid-Terms. It was a good result for those fighting against the “Empire” – at present represented by Obama.
Obama is weakened now that he has to deal with a hostile Senate.
I will make a further point, that seems simple – but is often forgotten.
Left Wing = Big Government (Decreased Personal Freedom & Liberty).
Right Wing = Small Government (Increased Personal Freedom & Liberty).
This is the mistake some have when they look at Foreign Policy. The NeoCon Hawks (which grew out of the Democratic side of the US Establishment), morphed into Republicans when they found the Democrat side reluctant to use force.
The fact “NeoCons” want to project American Empire and use force to do it makes them inherently “Left-Wing”.
In America at the moment, both of the major parties are dominated by Big Government types – although there are exceptions – like the Tea Party.
People like John McCain, although in the Republican Party, are very Left-Wing in their view on US Power projection.
Folks like Rand Paul (whatever his faults, he is working within the system to try and roll it back) – come from the Right.
People on this blog should be supporting any Right-Wing Americans (Libertarian leaning) who’s natural instinct is to cut US Government down to size and have a strong military for the defense of the United States – not for meddling abroad.
The election results of the other night were a victory for this type of Libertarian thinking – even if it was mixed with Big Government Republicans as well.
The battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party is the best hope there is for a non-interventionist US Government to emerge anytime soon. If someone like Rand Paul could take the Republican nomination and win the 2016 Presidential Election – we would all be the better for it. Unfortunately, the vested interests will probably destroy Rand Paul before he even got close (like they repeatedly did to his father).
If he ever actually got the Nomination, he could well be assasinated. See JFK & RFK from the 1960s.

The Putin bashes are so far off base it’s crazy. Objectively speaking, Putin has played a weaker hand brilliantly since the very start of the crisis. Really, one must say that the man is a serious geo-political strategist of the highest order. I may not like everything about Putin, but I am in awe of his political skills, not to mention the way he connects with the vast majority of the Russian people. Just read his March 18th speech announcing Russia’s annexation of Crimea, it was just brilliant. Seriously, read that speech guys!
To PurpleLibrary at 04:31 – I don’t know how influenced the central bank is at the political level. Lots of people here are curious about that, and many other deep systemic aspects as well, and hopefully Mikhail Khazin will provide insight when he responds to our aggregated questions.
Back on the surface, at the tactical currency level, Eric Kraus earlier this week wrote a great piece on Russia’s central bank and its understanding (or not) of the currency markets at Russia Insider, with one of this year’s Best Titles:
Who Framed Roger Rouble?
And Alexander Mercouris just wrote a small post on his Facebook page that I’m copying fully here, because it’s good and sane:
THE FREE FLOATING ROUBLE
It has barely been noticed but the Central Bank all but said today that the rouble is going to be left alone to find its own level.
I think this is an entirely appropriate policy. One should never make a fetish out of the exchange rate. Britain did through most of the Twentieth Century and its economy was crucified in consequence with “sterling crises” popping up at regular intervals in 1931,1948, 1967, 1977 and 1992.
As for the media reports about the rouble “falling to all time lows”, given that the rouble only became properly convertible less than a decade ago, such comments are even more meaningless than they usually are. As it happens some of the rouble’s “weakness” is actually dollar “strength”, which I suspect is going to start causing serious problems for the US before long as the US trade position worsens.
The Central Bank was right in the decade after the 1998 crisis to manage the exchange rate because following the rouble’s total collapse in that dreadful year the Russian public needed reassurance that the state stood behind it.
Conditions are completely different now. The risk of default does not exist (there are no loans to default on – Russia is a net creditor) and the population so far has responded to the decline of the rouble very calmly.
Having seen over the last few weeks that the risk of a panic stricken rush out of roubles because of its fall is not so great and that the Russian public now appears to treat movements in the Russian currency with something like the same coolness as do publics in other countries, it seems the Central Bank has decided that it can in relation to this question as well start behaving like a conventional Central Bank and let the rouble float.

What does it mean, psychologically, when a puppet ruler or stooge agrees to play a part that will culminate in his own destruction? Sometimes, not merely his deposition from his post as leader of a nation, but his assassination or execution? How can any stooge agree to that? Well, let’s start from what we know for sure. Pindosi (a lovely Russian slang term for the USA) has repeatedly appointed puppet rulers and then after a couple of decades gotten rid of them, if necessary by outright coups. We could give plenty of examples of these: for instance, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt immediately comes to mind. It’s indisputable that (a) Pindosi put him there, and eventually, (b) Pindosi deposed him. There are plenty more, some of them so obvious as to be almost banal. There are stooges who gradually become palpably incompetent and have to be removed for that reason; there are stooges who after a decade or two begin to exhibit signs of the delusory view that they can actually decide things for themselves; and there are stooges who apparently collude in their own destruction. This seems to be the case with Putin. He is playing a part, agreed upon behind the scenes. I’m sure of that. The New Cold War is bogus, because Putin, like other stooges in this position before him, is totally invested in the West, its expectations, its standards, and its values. He is also invested in it financially, I don’t doubt. He expected to retire like Gorbachev, to a life of ease and privilege in some western land. But the most difficult part of his job is that he has to pretend to be rebelling against the West, without really doing any such thing. His gestures of rebellion have to be actually completely ineffective. He must give his own public the impression that he is fighting back, while actually doing nothing dangerous. I know this is an almost impossible concept to grasp. I don’t expect anyone to grasp it. I’m happy enough when they grasp anything, for instance that ISIS is phony, like El Murid does. Here is a conventional treatment of Putin’s supposed rebellion against the script, by Col Cassad – RB
The price may increase: The West threatens Russia’s tougher sanctions because of the elections in the Donbass
Colonel Cassad, Nov 4 2014 09:26
“If Moscow will continue to ignore the obligations in Minsk, will continue its destabilizing and dangerous actions, the price for this for it will increase,” said Bernadette Meehan, the representative of the National Security Council at the White House. According to her, “Usaia condemns the so-called “elections” held by pro-Russian separatists in parts of Donetsk and Lugansk.” She called them “fake”, “contradicting the Constitution of Ukraine, the law on the special status of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the main electoral standards.” Earlier, Usaian State Dept spokeswoman Jen Psaki said: “If Russia recognizes the elections, it will contribute to its further isolation.” Germany also does not understand the official recognition by Russia of the elections in LDNR, said the representative of the German Chancellor, Stephen Seibert. According to him, such a situation in the South-East of Ukraine excluded the possibility of abolishing the Euian economic sanctions against Russia, and in case of deterioration of the situation they can be tightened. French Pres Hollande urged Russia not to recognize the elections. Calling for compliance with the provisions of Minsk documents was also the UN Sec-Gen ban Ki-moon. Recall, on Sunday, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that Russia “respects the choice of the inhabitants of the South-East of Ukraine,” and expressed willingness to further contribute to the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine. The fact that Usaia and Euia so clearly threaten Russia with sanctions, clearly suggests that there is no final agreement about the fate of Ukraine and Donbass. […]
yes, also thanks John 97205 for posting youtube link about Ukrainian sacrifice…today conversely also there is an article via JRL from Konstantin Zelfanov , exactly how many tens of thousands of Rus military would die /be sacrificed creating a “land road” through to Crimea-Saker any thoughts on quality of this “analysis’ and feasability of a land bridge? I would think Rus would rather wait until Ukr is bankrupt and can’t afford to run/supply the military (if Poro still is President and Yats not taken over) then VP offering humanitarian convoys to the east as a “land bridge”……..interestingly yes Russians are a superstitious tradition(noting comments by mundomaniac and in youtube video-note there is from Ukr no money for the east and I suspect there never will be.Will many more tens of thousands seek refuge in Russia to the extant they will have to build towns, factories, contribute to the economy?

” This means troops (Americans) in Ukraine and Syria.
Possibly direct bombing in Syria, no longer hiding behind the whole take down ISIS excuse.
This is bad, really bad.”
Why so?
In this scenario the opponents will suffer direct consequences.
The opponents prefer to kill, in this scenario they will also die.
With preparation the kill ratio of Vietnam can be “improved”.
In this scenario the opponents efforts will be overt not covert minimising the opportunities of plauible denial.
In this scenario the perception of the opponents motivations and scope will be great extended facilitating multi-dimensional lateral challenge.
@ Saker
“There are real and objective problems in Russia and the Kremlin is zig-zagging.”
Zig-zagging is a synonym of being flexible.
Being flexible is a necessary strength as Russian history from the mid 1980’s onwards has shown.
Categorical imperatives are strategic weaknesses as the opponents continue to illustrate.

Arse Yatz in need of a reminder:
Moscow questions feasibility of returning Ukraine settlement talks back to Geneva format
Q: Why would Arse Yatz propose the Geneva format?
A: Geneva format, held in April, included his masters, (U.S.) the Minsk format, held in September, did not include the U.S. The Geneva agreements were promptly flouted by Kiev.
“In this regard, we would like to recall that at the April 17, 2014 meeting in Geneva with the participation of the Russian and Ukrainian foreign ministers, US state secretary and the high representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy, a joint statement was adopted stipulating concrete initial measures on the de-escalation of tensions and security restoration for all citizens,” the ministry said.
“It was noted that the parties to the conflict were to refrain from any acts of violence, intimidation and provocations. The participants in the meeting resolutely condemned and rejected any manifestations of extremism, racism and religious intolerance, including anti-Semitism,” the statement said.
“Among other things, it was stressed that the declared constitutional process in Ukraine would be inclusive, transparent and accountable. It (the process) would provide for an immediate start of the broad national dialogue involving all regions and political parties in Ukraine and would also take into account all public remarks and proposed amendments.”
However, the Russian ministry said, “It is now obvious that all earlier reached agreements have been flouted by the Ukrainian side. Kiev, instead of de-escalation, intensified combat activities in the south-east of the country with the use of heavy military hardware and that led to the loss of thousands of human lives and large-scale destruction.”
Ukraine loses in mid-term elections.
Interesting take on sentiment for US involvement. However, as we know, the covert proto war and NATO-EU involvement is what is really taking place.
The war-monger senators are actually going to be more powerful and will fund more black ops which suits Obama’s personal enmity with Putin. If it’s secret and deadly, Obama is always for it.
Here’s the article:
Ukraine Loses in Mid-terms
The reality of the American government is that the elections affect nothing related to policies. Russia will be target number one for two reasons.
The U.S. is losing its grip on unipolar power and Russia is the leading challenger in visible and strategic regions (Eastern Europe, Middle East, Central Asia)
China is grabbing hold of SE Asia, South Asia and Central Asia and Russia is the partner to China. The easiest way to weaken China is to destroy Russia.
With these two pillars of thought vis a vis Russia, it is clear the full spectrum proto war will continue for many years.
The U.S. economy is better than EU, and they have wind in their sails to cause as much trouble for Russia as they can.
If it were not for the bungling of Iraq and the failure in Syria, they would have been free to launch the “terrorist” war against Russia in the Caucasus region, to enflame Armenia-Azerbijian and to light some fuses in Central Asia.
Misjudging Putin in Syria has been deadly to the forward progress of the U.S. covert war against Russia.
So to, misjudging Putin in Iran has upset their progress.
These mistakes have thrown the West back into the arms of the Saudis. This has led to the oil price plunge. Cheap oil means loss of market share for Western oil giants. Cheap oil is a setback for the Greens. No need to go hybrid or all electric or clean energy if you get oil so cheap.
Cheap oil upsets two constituencies. Powerful energy companies who will not be happy with lower revenues and less profits. And the environmental wackos who don’t want any carbon-based energy in the world. They have yet to be heard from, but they will push-pull for higher prices.
The major activity of the West is chaos-making, war, sponsoring Islamic terror groups and destabilizing regimes and democratic governments and fixing commodity prices, equity and real estate markets to benefit elites and bankers.
Meanwhile, Russia and China will create the largest growth project in the history of mankind—Eurasian Market, the New Silk Road. 3.5 Billion people will benefit directly from development and growth.
Inevitably, the Ukraine will fall into chunks, taken by neighbors, with just Naziland left.
The war has begun around Donetsk today. Why? One reason is the Dutch were moving in to gather up the debris of the MH-17 for reconstruction in their investigation.
The other reason is the loan for gas went through and the Ukies were ordered to start up the war so NATO could complain Russia has troops in Donbass. It’s like a bad TV show. Children die, women and girls get raped, and Putin gets blamed.
how many times you eat the shit of Jews for your living, why cant you say anything about filthy faggot Jews
@Anonymous:how many times you eat the shit of Jews for your living, why cant you say anything about filthy faggot Jews
Because, unlike you, I am not obsessed with Jews or mentally retarded. Because I don’t even think of them as filthy or fagots. Because I am neither a racist nor a drooling moron who spends his life chocking on his own hatred of others. Because I have met way too many beautiful, kind, generous, loyal and generally wonderful people who thought of themselves as “Jews” (even though I personally don’t even believe that there is such a nation, much less so a race). Because as an Orthodox Christian, I know that we are all children of the same Father and believe with all my heart that to deny that is a satanic heresy.
Does that answer your illiterate, crude and sophomoric question?

Steve said, “for clarity’s sake for me – did the insurgency in the East begin by people sacking police stations and blowing things up in February thus provoking the ‘ATO’ or was it the other way round or some murky mixture of the two?”
Steve, first a coup of overt Nzis occurred, then they knocked down statues commemorating Soviet part in putting down the Nazis in WWII, then they made Russian no longer an official language, so it couldn’t be used in schools, etc. Many overt threatening statements were publicly made about killing the Russian “intruders”. E Ukrain response was to agitate for joining Russia. Russia said no it was in favor of a united, federated Ukraine. The Russian flags disappeared and E Ukrain agitated for federalization. No one in Kiev wd talk to them & after months of this they bloodlessly took over police and administrative buildings, still asking for federalization. Kiev attacked– at first w no results cuz the conscripts refused to fire on other Ukrainians. Later real war. If you want more detail, look in Saker archives.
Hope this was helpful. –Penelope
