President Putin just gave an important interview to the Russian journalist Sergei Brilev in which he indicated that
- Russia and Belarus are allies in the CSTO
- Russia and Belarus are also Union states
- Russia has obligations towards Belarus
- Lukashenko has invoked these obligations
- Putin has agreed to create a “security reserve force” which is ready to intervene in Belarus in case of danger for the Belarusian state and sovereignty
- Putin added that these forces will only be used if “extremist elements” violently threaten the security and/or stability of the Belarusian state
- Putin added that there is no need for such a force now, and he hopes that there never will be
- Putin also added that neither the state nor the demonstrators should violate Belarusian laws (he did add that Belarusian cops are much less violent than the cops in the US).
It is important here NOT to start guessing what that force is, what it can do, etc.
Why?
Because Russia already had such forces, including light mobile military and police forces.
No, what is important is that Putin has just drawn a red line and made an implicit threat.
I consider that threat as absolutely credible. Recall that just a few days ago, Putin told western leaders to stay out of Belarus, and at least some of them now clearly got the message (not all, obviously).
But, first and foremost, this is a direct warning for Poland and the Baltic statlets: stay out or else…
This is also a clear message to Tikhanovskaia and her puppet-masters: forget about Belarus leaving the CSTO or the Union state; also forget about Belarus joining the EU or NATO. Ain’t gonna happen.
I am sure that we will post the full interview either dubbed or with English subs later today or tomorrow, but I wanted to share with you what I consider a watershed moment in the Belarus crisis.
I will keep you posted here should there be any updates.

UPDATE: as predicted, the Poles are hysterical, see for yourself:
🇵🇱 government urges Russia to immediately withdraw from plans of a military intervention in Belarus, under false excuse of ‘restoring control’ – a hostile act, in breach of international law and human rights of Belarusian people, who should be free to decide their own fate.
— Mateusz Morawiecki (@MorawieckiM) August 27, 2020
Tikhanovskaya is nothing to worry about. Watch out for the great philosopher — he is capable of anything / sarc off /.
Well, this definitely becomes a challenge for all those Putin-haters that festoon the Vineyard commentaries.
And it is piss in the morning coffee at Brussels, Warsaw and Foggy Bottom, DC.
“You mean we have to get past the goddamn Russians with guns in order to lynch that SOB Luka?”
NATO alliance just returned to chronic colitis.
Well, self-loathing and dread is a natural state for the Roman Catholics and Russophobes of the region.
Putin definitely is Master of His Game.
He hasn’t even named the tactical unit(s) he would send.
Just the announcement is warning and threat enough. Everyone knows, no one, not even the crazed Poles, wants to fight Russians.
I’m waiting for the UK to declare Putin’s words “aggression” against a NATO ally. Warning from the Kremlin is aggression to the Highly Likely Brits.
Which bozo will declare Article 5? Scarring the bejeezus out of Poland and Baltic statelets is aggression, don’t you know?
Pompeo will surely rant at this warning. As soon as he removes Bibi’s privates from his fat, West Point trained mouth.
This is almost better than Polite Green Men. These are the Virtual, TBA Green Men.
As Yosemite Sam always says: BACKOFF!
He hasn’t even named the tactical unit(s) he would send
Yes, to keep everybody guessing and because the actual decision will depend on the actual circumstances.
no one, not even the crazed Poles, wants to fight Russians.
I am not so sure. Remember, Poles always hide behind some other power, be it Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia or US run NATO. To them the power of their masters reflects their own power. Just look at Polish history – it is a lessons in hypocrisy, delusion, subservience and terrible decision making. Sad but true…
Let’s hope that the Germans tell the Poles to keep it cool.
The one place the Poles wanted to fight Russians was Kaliningrad. But then the Iskanders showed up and the Poles shut up.
Now with Trump they also heard that they will be paying for the privilege of basing American troops. It’s cost them billions for their “leading edge of the spear” replacement of the Turks in NATO. Plus some billion or so for their LNG infrastructure in order to pay 20% more for energy.
In any case, the Belarus military, with Russians as backup, now would fight ferociously against any invader.
And they do have a history in Belarus that their grandfathers fought well in the Great Patriotic War.
Putin is playing to the correct sentiments in Belarusian society.
Byelorus Army is a force to be reckoned with and not a paper tiger by any stretch of the imagination, plus they are intensely loyal to their country and their President Lukashenko.
The Land of Poles is nothing but a gadfly, not even Napoleon gave them any official status even though his ‘French’ army invading Russia had a substantial Polish cadre. Didn’t make no difference, Russian Army was in Paris in the end, just like it was in Berlin at that end.
‘nato’ does not have an army, the backbone, if you want to call it that, is Uncle Sugar’s boys who, by the by, have never fought a peer armed force. Germany can not field an armored battalion, let alone supply it in the field of war, but the Luftwaffe is good. Question is will the fight. France? That country falls under ‘who?’. UK? They are talking of scrapping their useless versions of a ‘eu’ tank, not that they have that many, but they have two very expensive aircraft carriers that don’t have any planes and won’t have for years. Italy? How Rome has fallen. Oestereich? Not interested. Tribaltica? Can’t form two roti, let alone field them.
If it comes to a fight it will not be a cake walk by any stretch of the imagination, but at this time Nato has not a ghost of a chance of winning a fight on the Byelorus borders. VVP has drawn a line as mentioned, and I don’t think Nato will be foolish enough to cross it. Of course, the reaction from Foggy Bottom will be the stuff of legend and I can only imagine what sanctions we’ll have on the morrow.
While I have never met Belarusian officers, I did meet a lot of Russian military personnel and they are unanimous: Belarussians are formidable soldiers who sometimes even beat Russian ones in grueling competitions. The two big advantages Russia has are 1) much more modern equipment and a vastly superior support infrastructure 2) much bigger numbers.
But there is no doubt in my mind that the Belarussians could take on Poland and the Balts and prevail (as long as the rest of NATO does not join in). Yes, Poland has 3 times the population of Belarus, but the Belarusians are real warriors and they remember history.
Anyway, God willing, it will not come to that.
I have no doubts that Byelorus can take care of the Land of Poles and Tribaltica, problem is something happened to bring this statement from Vladimir Vladmir’vich. Whatever it was, he’s made a very clear and concise SitRep: Screw with Byelorus and face Russia. Ergo, there is some serious threat to Byelorus we don’t know about…yet.

I kind of think things are happening in Syria…eg a patrol incident with USA not accepting the patrol plan notifications. Beautiful to see Russ. helo’s hovering just over the recaltricant USA vehicles making a very firm point. I think Russ. has decided to harden their attitude a lot more there as USA has virtually declared its full military ocuupation in north east Syria. Maybe Putin is sending a warning to USA you aint seen nothing yet out there if you do not go asap.
“Belarussians are formidable soldiers who sometimes even beat Russian ones in grueling competitions”.
A very convenient arrangement to have those chaps right between Poland and Moscow! Good planning.
I shouldn’t imagine the Wehrmacht much enjoyed their acquaintance either.
The Nazis butchered a full 1/3rd of the population of Belarus.
Tells you how much they hated the place and these people…
Russia is an alien body in the region (of the former Great Lithuanian Duchy – the territories of Ukraine and Belarus), Russia introduced itself into the region with the help of Prussia, Austria(in 17 century) and Germany (in 1939), and is responsible for atheism, hunger, repressions, rusification/tatarization and the wars (even Lukashenko doesnt want any Russian Patriotic wars – otechestwennyje voiny) with revolutions. The alien body must leave the region, in which it has never been deeply rooted
Russia freed Prussia from the Swedes.Prussians are former Slavs The Prosen Germanized by the Toutonic knights . As far as the Balts are concerned you were the Teutons serfs until the Russians freed you
RUR says:
“Russia is an alien body in the region (of the former Great Lithuanian Duchy – the territories of Ukraine and Belarus)”
ad hominem removed .. mod The Polish-Lithuanian incursion into Ruthenian lands and their Papist “Inquisition” against Orthodox RUSyns–the legacy of which is Uniatism and a confused sense of “Ukrainian nationalism”–hasn’t been totally forgotten. For whatever the faults are of the Muscovite nation-state, there are many more of us than the West would care to acknowledge who know that we are of one Faith and of one blood.
Stay away from our people. Go play with the Germans and the Swedes. And the Americans.

The last Russian attemp to conquer Poland in1920 resulted in Russian Red army fleeing in panic till Riga as fast as the horse can run…Remember that…
They took Poland in 1944 . In 1920 during the civil war the Brits dropped 50,000 canisters of poison gas on Russian villages and thé Red Army soldiers. How many rabid dogs were with you. The same dogs of war that were with every invasion from the west against Russia
I’m astonished that NATO has not yet officially recognised Tikhanovskaya as the president of Belarus.
Hopefully Lukashenko has learnt that flirting with the west is pointless. Hopefully Putin has also learnt that being proactive works.
“I’m astonished that NATO has not yet officially recognised Tikhanovskaya as the president of Belarus.”
Well, the services of Juan Guaidó–the West’s favorite Puppet President in Exile–are still available….
The trouble with recognising people as heads of state who are obviously nothing of the kind is that you are then stuck with the situation. Politicians cannot bear admitting they were wrong, so they have to double down.
Wer ‘A’ sagt, Muss ‘B’ sagen.
If, as with Guiado, it turns out that the situation is a dead end with no prospects of anything but embarrassing retreat… well, best not to go there in the first place.
Especially with the Russians and Chinese looking on impassively, but tittering inside.
Not funny “SAD”. Like all other SLAVS, the homeland is RUSSIA. The Poles like the Croats both more Catholic than the Pope they want to be Germans. In reality, they were not Germans they were German servants in Auschwitz and Jasenovac. Their actions in these extermination camps even shamed the Germans.
> they want to be Germans
A thing that strucks me with the “opposition” flag : it is very tainted with German occupation and national humiliation of Belarus; so I wonder why doesn’t the opposition propose another flag; for example a mix of the two, as a compromise and a symbol of “national union” : white-red + green-red -> white-green-red
Then, I realised that such a “compromise” flag looks very slavic actually.
It is even the flag of Bulgaria !
And, in contrast, the “Zmagar” flag (white-red-white) feels Hanseatic (baltic-germanic) and not slavic at all.
Details matter and reveal things, indeed.
I do not know about Poles
But Croats …
Some Croats are germanofiles but I have not seen a single one Croat who really WANTS TO BE GERMAN.
Maybe some who were born or living for long time in Germany …but in Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina, never.
So you talk rubbish
And there is not significant anti-Russian feelings among Croats…there are some extremists like those 30 or 40 fighting in Ukraine… but generally no
Croats do not know much about Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
Until recently the most of them did not have a clue about differences between Russians, Ukrainians and Belarussians.
It is sad, because in year 1683 Poles heroically saved Europe from Ottoman Turks
As I see, after 1991 Poland have returned to what it was between two world wars, under Pilsudski. Histerical warmongering anti-russian extremism
Such behavior in the end had devastating consequences to Poland and Polish people.
But obviously, they have not learned anything from this experience.
I have met many Poles
They really have anti-russian sentiment the most of them, but I do not have impression that they want to go into war with Russia.
They know perfectly that such war would be THE END for them.
I do not understand their politicians and such anti-russian stance.
What they want to gain with that is beyond my mind.
Complete madness. I understand that many countries are under USA domination and they have to do what they are told to do, but such anti-russian passion and hatred as it is among Polish and Baltic political elite and probably among population, it is real phenomenon.
Not really hard to understand. As it was already said Poland was the staging area for the Crusades against Russia. The Pope’s armies Teutonics, Napoleon and Hitler, and those in-between their staging area were Poland and when the masters fell at Lake Peipus, Berezina and Stalingrad the Poles paid the price of partition or occupation.
Pope this, Pope that, Pope here, Pope there, Pope, Pope, Pope, Pope …
So many Catholic countries in Europe, Latin and Romance countries and none of them have significant anti-Russian feelings
Not to mention Latin America and many Catholic countries in Asia and Africa
Only one Romance country have strong anti- Russian sentiment, and it is Orthodox Romania
And Orthodox Slavic Bulgaria always backstabbing Russia, and Orthodox Greece always with America, and Orthodox Ukraine, and Orthodox Gruzia … sorry Georgia, Orthodox Moldova. Even in Orthodox Armenia exist strong anti-Russian feeling, but they have Azeri and Turkish sword above head, otherwise they would be like Georgia…
And Pope and Vatican today is nothing… what influence he has … close to zero
Polish and Baltics hatred toward Russia have different reason … religion is more or less irrelevant
Maybe in distant past, but today is stupid to say that religion differences are reason for that
The strongest anti-Russian sentiment today exist in Northern European predominantly Germanic and Protestant Northern Europe … especially Anglo-Saxon world
Where does one start dealing with this revision of history? When one says crusades most people think of The Middle East when it is a fact most crusades were in Europe. Croats participated in all of them. The cravat necktie is a result due to your participation in the Napoleonic Wars
WWII the extermination of some 700,000 Serbs at Jasenovac was carried out by priests and nuns. Thousands of Croats participated in the German Army in WWII and the same is true in WWI. Croatian historians are writing nonsense about their origin as non Slavic. During WWII the attempted to Germanize the language by stringing words together. For example the belt was called “okolotrbuhapantalodrzac” or arroundthestomachpantholder”
Every town in Western Hercegovina had an Orthodox Church and it is well known where they were located. Every Croat and Muslim in Hercegovina was a former Serb. The names of people first and last, the language pronunciation is the same if you look at the maps of Dalmatia and Hercegovina in the 10th centurySerbia included everything from Zadar South other than the city of Dubrovnik? Dubrovnik was slavicized by Serbs All of present Croatia South from Zadar used old Church Slavonic alphabet. I could go forever but what is the point
Croats served the Vatican and Germany and were regarded recently when Germany was the first to recognize the breakup of yu After WWI and II Serbia did more to create the present Croatia then most Croatswen you saw who was winning you joined the winners. You need to look at how many Croats served on the Russian Front to see how much you loved them you did this purely for religious reasons as Russia has never done anything to you?
One of the sadesp episodes which you defend has to deal with the number of children killed by the Ustase’ google Diana Budisavljevic who saved thousands of Serbian Children from death camps. Today you sing Ustase songs you salute Ustase on the soccer pitch you teach your children to glorify this murder , you build monuments To Jure Francetic and his black Legion It is sickening that you should defend scum like this
Such assertions/comments really are only dutch exit…and nothing more
A real natural dutch unckle behaviour and lessons, indeed
Cet animal est tres mechant;
Quand on l’attaque il se defend.
Translation:
That animal is very mean;
When we attack it, it will defend itself.
One thing I respect about Vladimir Putin is that he seems to have a finely attuned antenna as to when he has to actually defend Russian interests and when he can let an annoyance pass by without reaction.
It does mean that when he stands up on his hind legs, his roar is pretty discernible even to the less sophisticated actors.
Sevastopol naval base was a red line for Putin. So is Belarus joining NATO.
Life would be a lot simpler if America spent a bit more time worrying about enemy Aircraft carriers 100 miles west of San Diego and slightly less time obsessing about installing puppet governments on Russia’s borders.
this here makes some sense to me..Putin’s actions. Red line indeed! and proper response. I was wondering……
and the idea of the USA worried about aircraft carriers off its coastline is a fine one indeed..would put a crick into USA/Zionist front running, making the waves. it is time for some Russian Chinese ‘aggression’ around the western homeland with real power to take them out.
about such Russian/Chinese action triggering war I am not worried or concerned about in the least. war seems more likely from aggressive american presence in and around China/Russia. if that is not turned around it is bound to lead to american adventurism and war. tit for tat seems the answer at least one good answer to aggressive western presence in the China seas
“One thing I respect about Vladimir Putin is that he seems to have a finely attuned antenna as to when he has to actually defend Russian interests and when he can let an annoyance pass by without reaction”.
Exactly the opposite of the USA, which continually snarls and bellows but which, when push comes to shove, turns out to be a paper tiger. Not much has changed in that way since 1862:
“… the London Times thundered that the marks of the American character were swagger and ferocity built upon a foundation of vulgarity and cowardice”.
– Fletcher Pratt, “A Short History of the American Civil War”, p. 43
“Life would be a lot simpler if America spent a bit more time worrying about enemy Aircraft carriers 100 miles west of San Diego…”
Or, indeed, large silent submarines armed with dozens of hypersonic missiles which could strike anywhere on the East or West coasts with about 10 minutes’ warning.
You can see an aircraft carrier. Submarines are invisible until it’s much too late.
He needs to swat a few more of the annoying flies that are buzzing around his head. The Redline should have been Ukraine.
I think what you are seeing here is a new phase in Russian Diplomacy, VVP has spoken and methinks woe betide anyone who does not listen. As I’ve said before, one hint of trouble on the west Byelorus borders and the Russia Army will be there in force in 24 hours if not less.
A word to the west. Stop screwing with Russia, those days are gone, witness Syria yesterday and now today a very clear and concise warning about one of Russia’s staunchest allies and a vital link in the Russian West Defense Line. Something must have happened to draw this very clear and strong warning. Perhaps we’ll know in the next hours.

and unexpected surprise that is always inherent, in the nature of cowards and bullies.
I think what you are seeing here is a new phase in Russian Diplomacy, VVP has spoken and methinks woe betide anyone who does not listen.
I hope you are correct, and President Putin can be much more proactive in cracking down against Western agents, collaborators, and so-called “NGOs.” Furthermore, I hope he will get rid of pro-Western elements in his government, such as the finance minister.
First it was President Rouhani to slap back Trump, now President Putin. Next we need President Xi Jinping to become proactive & really “bitch slap” the Trump regime; merely protesting with “strong statements” is not enough to convince the bully to change actions. Fact is, Trump will never respect Chinese people because they are yellow, not white, unless the PLA unquestionably gives Uncle Scam a black eye.
China is also an independent nation with its own independent foreign policy unlike Japan, South Korea or Taiwan whose governments are to a degree subservient to the USA. What’s Trump’s attitude towards those three nations?
…unlike Japan, South Korea or Taiwan whose governments are to a degree subservient to the USA. What’s Trump’s attitude towards those three nations?
I would assume Trump’s attitude towards them is the same as a slave owner’s attitude towards a “house negro”: They are acceptable so long as they “know there place” & never defy the white man.
Is it any coincidence that South Korea & Japan are still occupied by the USA, and those governments never defy Uncle Scam, or Trump? Does anybody honestly respect the current leadership of Taiwan in the way they suck up to Trump?
“I think what you are seeing here is a new phase in Russian Diplomacy…”
As I read those words I seem to see Mr Lavrov bowing gracefully and saying, “Over to you, Sergey Kuzhugetovich!”
Of course any serious nation has its red lines. If wise, its leaders make it clear where those lines lie.
Only a fool would meddle with them; my impression is that the West (the USA at any rate) is so near to ultimate collapse that its leaders are feeling “lucky”.
But I am sure the Colt Magnum is loaded.
“Of course any serious nation has its red lines. If wise, its leaders make it clear where those lines lie.”
Reminds me of something one of my Uni lecturers used to say “Wars happen because nations do not signal clearly their intentions”.
When push comes to shove, this is exactly what V.V. does do. In his way, the Russian way, which is to be slow to saddle up, but ride like the wind – he always clearly signals Russian intentions.
Just because some refuse to read the signals is not his problem.
We are all relieved – a measured but firm response-let us hope that the union is rapidly implemented
“UPDATE: as predicted, the Poles are hysterical, see for yourself:”
That didn’t take long!
Cue: More anxious tie-chewing and impotent spittle-flecked rage from America, Europe, and the rest of the supposed “Free World”–like this oldie but goldie below:
Saakashvili chewing his tie

ROFLOL.
Well, I guess if you’re going to take on Russia, and then hear what it is alleged Putin said he would do to you if he ever got his hands on you — you might chew ties too :-) :-) lol.
I just saw the update. Yes of course russia would go against international law but what Poland is doing in Belarus is perfectly legal. When this madness will stop?
I wonder the poles want to antagonize Russia that much. It s not in their interests to have so bad relations with a neighboring country. Besides if something in their planing would go bad Poland would have to face serious problems. What do they wand to achieve by being so reckless and stupid?
Love this Mateusz Morawiecki! Gównopolska über alles 😄
Lukashenko — watch your step. Against Mateusz Morawiecki even Vladimir Putin will be in for a stunning defeat according to the second-guessing of much of The Saker’s contributors on the subject of Belarus.
Gonna show Trump how it should be done cf situations in USA cities. Lithuania sounding or pretending to be nervous to get Nato or anyone else in?
Good for you President Putin!
A question to Saker, Auslander, or anybody else knowledgeable about the Russian world: Are there any citizens or members of the current Belarus KGB that were once young recruits/young lieutenants under then Colonel Putin’s command? If so, what are the chances of them being groomed to succeed Lukashenko as president of Belarus?
To answer your question, I have no idea of anyone is being groomed to follow Lukashenko.
Morawiecki has become a laughing stock with this tweet even with his own people. Here is a selection of tweet responses (machine translated from Polish)
“Mr premier, tell me when war begins? What tell the Americans? What orders?”
“Now it’s for sure it’s time turn back the troops”
“Have you agreed your position with the EU, or are you banging off on your own?”
“When we have no influence on the course of events it is better not to expose our powerlessness.”
“Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, please consider for future tweets, the option of turning off comments. This should support the effectiveness of social media diplomacy.”
“Loud laughter echoes off the wall of the Kremlin”
And lots of gifs of Putin laughing…
”Have you agreed your position with the EU, or are you banging off on your own?”
Seriously, I don’t think a Polish crackpot such as Mateusz Morawiecki understands the question. According to his worldview, Gównopolska is the beating heart as well as the brain of the You’re_A_Peon Union. Well, judging by the the latter’s overall ”performance”, this might not be entirely dismissed as empty bluster but it doesn’t improve the prospects of regime change in Belarus.
You know, I really feel bad for the mentally sane Poles who have to live in such a culture of narcissism and hatred. I met quite a few Poles in my life and many I really did like a lot, as long as we did not discuss religion, history or politics. As soon as any of these topics are breached, instant insanity ensues. This is really sad and shows how a toxic ideology/worldview can make dangerous imbeciles from otherwise very nice people…
“as long as we did not discuss religion, history or politics. As soon as any of these topics are breached, instant insanity ensues. This is really sad and shows how a toxic ideology/worldview can make dangerous imbeciles from otherwise very nice people…”
Excellent comment.
I am an American and could apply this same mindset to many of my own as well. It’s difficult to have a rational conversation (even within my own family) while being accused of being a “Nazi” if you hold any conservative views or thoughts of restraint regarding the empire. I feel like my country is slowly going insane. I fear our rapidly deteriorating economic situation will only push more people over the edge. Tyri as I might I can not drill down to the base cause of their anger. Are they putting “something” in the water here? ;)
I am an ethnic Romanian. While growing up in the US we tried to leave the hatred that caused WWII behind us. Now I see it all starting over again. I have great respect for Mr. Putin. I can only hope that saner men like him will prevail.
I have the same experience with them … and same impression
Very weird mind set
It is a good move but the empire will not stop trying. They are persistent if nothing else. If Luka is smart he will know those who succeed him may well sell the country out for 30 pieces of silver. They will need to be part of Russia like Crimea in order to stop that from happening.
Luka’s legacy could be that of “the one who re-unified with Russia”. Now that he knows that the west only accepts subservient lackey leaders maybe he will push in that direction.
I find the timing of this “color revolution” interesting. In July the IMF offered Belarus a billion dollars if they would do a hard lockdown. Luka said no. His plan, minimal measures + HCQ, had worked better than most anyone else’s in the world. He did not want to be seen as weak and changing his mind or the bribe wasn’t big enough or some combo thereof. Either way he said no and suddenly there’s trouble.
The empire can not have successful outliers like Belarus because it makes the upcoming mandatory vaccine untenable.
Timely and necessary positioning. Finally a positioning.
Hesitent to post anything from this zionist kagan pile of ….blog site but it does provide some info about NEXTA’s “plan” for the next few days; reliable?, who knows?
https://www.iswresearch.org/
As expected, the hysteria mounts as Putin indicates that he has a reserve force at the ready.
” Warning: Kremlin Announces Reserve Force is Prepared to Intervene in Belarus
August 27, 2020, 12:30 pm EDT”
NEXTA ‘plan’ from blog post:
NEXTA is posturing for mass protests on Sunday, August 30, and announced plans to release a “strategic plan” on August 28. NEXTA called for small protests in Minsk on August 27, with a few hundred protesters gathering around a church in Minsk that was the site of security force detentions the night of August 26.[16] NEXTA explicitly called on local organizers to continue protests around the country following “their own traditions” and asking protesters to “protect their local leaders,” continuing its approach of focusing its efforts to control protests on Minsk but expanding its efforts to claim credit for country-wide protests it has not organized. NEXTA additionally stated it will announce plans on August 27 for a third Sunday protest and pledged to release a “global and important strategic plan” on August 28 on “how this autumn the people can return power to their own hands” – implicitly framing the protest movement as a long-running effort. NEXTA’s promised strategic plan will likely shape the focus of the protest movement in the coming weeks, as NEXTA retains dominant control over the protest movement. NEXTA may further align with opposition leader Sviatlana Tikanouskaya’s Coordination Council and diplomatic approach following supportive statements the night of August 26.[17]
NEXTA is a front for Polish and US special services. That is the resource which controls the entire protest movement.
If BHL arrives to lead these protests, then victory is imminent. Remember: Putin is evil, rotten, and a committed sell-out while Lukashenko and Belarus are helpless, clueless, and spineless — right?
Good for Putin for acting before a Maidan was attempted. As for the Poles, they can go perch on a sharpened stick for all I, and I presume most of us here on this forum, care.
Please let it be the 1st Guards Tank Army.
I disagree.
I really hope and pray for a peaceful outcome.
Besides, the FGTA is designed to take on all of NATO, not a few wannabe fighters. That the Belarusian security forces can take care of, very competently, without any Russian help.
Cool down people
No chance for any war. Belarus Army is excellent with Russia keeping their back
The West tried and did not succeed…that have no guts for war
But this is far from over. Sanctions will be more and more harsh
And they will try another color revolution for sure, the do not give up …ever
So, Lukashenko has to start wide national dialog about political reforms …and economical as well.
And Constitutional reform of course
They should go into integration with Russian Federation, but I am afraid that it would not win through referendum at this moment
Neither in Belarus nor in Russia
Thank you for highlighting the two important facts in red. This news offers some comfort. And thank you for including the statement from the Polish clown Prime Minister. It seems that all leaders who are connected to the western power structure are clowns. Actors, playing a roll, pretending to be the opposite of what they are. It is now transparent as to what they are, and there are many in the west, though not enough, who see them for what they are: Liars!
Look at this fools statement. It could be made by Pompeo, Trump (or a nearly unlimited number of their crew) as well as any number of others in leadership positions in the west: “under the false excuse of ‘restoring control’ – a hostile act, in breach of international law and human rights of Belarusian people, who should be free to decide their own fate.” Who is constantly interfering in other nations except for the western empire and their puppet states, to make the lives of the people intolerable? International law? They don’t care about international law when it comes to their own conduct. They are lawless. The law is for everyone else but not for them. Human rights and freedoms? Then why are they trying to interfere and impose their agenda on others if they care so much about human rights and freedom? What a clown show.
If I made a business card for the Prime clown of Poland it could state: I am against your freedom and human rights. I am here to interfere in your country because I hate what you stand for. I specialize in not following international law and want to be the boot that stomps on your face forever. How can I help?
I think I may have arrived finally at the point of having run out of tolerance for all of these people and for other situations as well.
I would hope the leader of Belarus has finally learned his lesson, and there will not be any more visits by Pompeo.
I have never seen a nation of people who are so ashamed of being who they are like the Poles. I know many individuals whose names end in “ski” claiming to be German when in reality they are Poles. I always tell them they are nothing more than an ashamed Pole.
There are plenty of Germans of Polish descent. This was true even under the German Empire; one of the most important characters in fiction is the German soldier Stanislaus Katczinsky in “All Quiet On The Western Front.”
Tell that to a Swede or Germany or any western European ethnicity. They will proudly reject that their own ethnic group exists and claim the very notion of a Germany ethnicity is racist since it is exclusive to non-Germans.
Poles and all eastern Europeans on the other hand are all fiercly patriotic and ethno-nationalist. No matter if we talk about Poles or Russians or Ukrainians.
The Russian Federation has emerged as a leader in the battle against pathogens. They’ve developed vaccine against Covid 19 and a defense against Yanukovich 14. Unfortunately a strain of it struck Bolivia.
There are 2 very important points that everyone should know:
1). This is all part of PNAC (still), and the original neocon wolfowitz doctrine, which was basically about increasing the USA’s military, and remaining the preeminent superpower, for this century. This includes preventing any other power – Russia or China in particular obviously – from challenging the USA’s dominance:
‘The U.S. must show the leadership necessary to establish and protect a new order that holds the promise of convincing potential competitors that they need not aspire to a greater role or pursue a more aggressive posture to protect their legitimate interests. In non-defense areas, we must account sufficiently for the interests of the advanced industrial nations to discourage them from challenging our leadership or seeking to overturn the established political and economic order. We must maintain the mechanism for deterring potential competitors from even aspiring to a larger regional or global role.’ etc. This applies to ukraine in that the USA is confronting Russia right on its border, besides wanting to suck the wealth out of ukraine, and also now with Belarus.
2. The roman catholic church is very much involved in Poland, has succeeded in ukraine to cause a rift in the Orthodox Church, and basically wants to take over or destroy the Orthodox Church particularly in Russia.
Sometimes the 2 coincide. biden – the catholic when he’s not a zionist – has been useful in ukraine in that regard.
Yup.
The 1992 Wolfowitz Doctrine=2000 Project for a New American Century (PNAC) manifesto.
The PNAC manifesto=US Full Spectrum Dominance=International Rules Based Order=Unipolar American world order.
Indeed, since the end of the Cold War 1.0, the USA has been advancing its designs for American unipolar world dominance under a variety of deceptions:
-Humanitarian Intervention (or the Responsibility to Protect Doctrine)
-Weapons of Mass Destruction pretexts (like with respect to Iraq)
-The fake War on Terrorism (beginning with the 9-11 Reichstag Fire)
-Color Revolutions/Regime Change operations
-Hybrid War (involving economic sanctions, regime change or destabilization operations, and massive media demonization campaigns)
-And now Cold War 2.0 (against Russia and China)
All these wars–hot or cold, conventional or proxy–are merely masks to disguise what in fact is an American global empire and its world order.
Bush planned Iraq ‘regime change’ before becoming President
https://pnac.info/2003/bush-planned-iraq-regime-change-before-becoming-president/
The neocons had written to clinton on Jan 26 1998, demanding he take action on Iraq then:
‘it means removing Saddam Hussein and his regime from power. That now needs to become the aim of American foreign policy.’
He didn’t, so they had to wait till bushit was made vp to pres cheney, (his puppet master) in 2001, and they had referred to a new Pearl Harbor, which of course turned out to be 911.
I ran across this quote, allegedly attributed to Putin, offered here as a minor contrbution (prob would be more precise to insert “team pompass”):
“Negotiating with Team Trump is like playing chess with a pigeon: the demented bird walks all over the chessboard, shits indiscriminately, knocks over pieces, declares victory, then runs away.”
In other words, when will this pompass nightmare era end? But I’m sure more termites and cockroaches are standing in the replacement line.
“Negotiating with Team Trump is like playing chess with a pigeon: the demented bird walks all over the chessboard, shits indiscriminately, knocks over pieces, declares victory, then runs away.”
Yup! Several top Russian officials have made comments along this line.
Hence their concept of “non-agreement-capable”
Dear Saker, is there one Russian word for “non-agreement-capable” or more directly I would prefer to say “agreement incapable” ?
What is this Russian word please … in Russian script ?
If this one word exists, is it a new word coined due to American nonsense ?
The pigeon chess meme has been around for quite a long time. It’s first occurrence was traced to a guy named S. D. Weitzenhoffer who used it in an amazon customer review under the heading “The problem with debating creationists”. (//www.amazon.com/review/R2367M3BJ05M82.)
Putin got pulled into it around 2013, when someone pictured him saying it to describe what it was like to negotiate with Obama. (//www.snopes.com/fact-check/pigeon-chess/)
And, replying to Paul (Павел) below re: the term “non-agreement-capable” (недоговороспособны) …
This seems to have entered the English lexicon in 2016. Saker’s article @ /why-the-recent-developments-in-syria-show-that-the-obama-administration-is-in-a-state-of-confused-agony/ marks the moment when it did so. There, he wrote:
It’s instructive to read that article again, if for no other reason than to re-live for a moment the sh*t show that was going on back then (and to be glad those days are behind us).
I found another instance from 2012 when Sergei Lavrov applied the devastating diagnostic to some “Western partners” at the the UN Security Council. The sticking point was again Syria, and the era was again the Obama years.

So, guys! It’s not just Trump.
In fact, I say the problem pre-dates Trump by about 330 years:

Regarding the update.
Mateusz Morawiecki has been prime minister of Poland since 2017. His lack of understanding and his lies, one may wonder what are the qualifications of becoming a prime minister in the first place . So it turns out that he is from technology, finance and banking education, internship at Deutsche Bank, Santander executive employee. I guess this has compromised his understanding of international law, or rather lack of basic understanding thereof is a sign of either national propaganda or international corruption.
Here is the example where they simply subsitute their (Polish, NATO, EU, Rockefeller/Rothschild’s organisation’s) political operations for the valid international law such as to speak highly of democracy and law, while being inherently corrupt as these are, the grandeois lie and deception on the subject on which they are involved. Poland are the tool of the empire’s attack on Russia and Russia’s republics in the Soviet Union era, then Tsar Russia, that was Russia itself, the very Russia whether Ukraine or Belarus.
International law agreements were made (The Alma Ata Protocol) that created CIS (Commonwealth of Independant States) that was the treaty that created the independant status of former Soviet Union Republic which was an artifical creation in the first place. The Commonwealth agreements between these nations are the right format to solve these issues, and certianly not the aggressor state Poland on behalf of the “empire” of which I mentioned before some of the key players in the destructive world as a whole.
There are certain paragraphs to the Alma Ata Protocol regarding military that a memberstate can only develope a neutral status if they chose so , and there are common defense and security protocols which exclude other alliances such as NATO. There are certainly no Russian wrongdoings in this case, there were of course illegal interference from other foreign actors I mentioned of which Poland and NATO is prevalent and foreign actors establishing NGO’s in the former republics. The usual suspects of the Rothschild syndicate are behind, also controlling the politics of the foreign powers and creating the NGOs, EU, NATO, CIA, UN to work for their wars and dictatorship.
“Well, this definitely becomes a challenge for all those Putin-haters that festoon the Vineyard commentaries”
Yes, it’s weird, isn’t it, how some people are so driven by negative emotion knee jerk reactivity, they can’t seem to use a single scrap of objective thinking God gave them?.
If Putin doesn’t react like Pompeo, God forbid, rushing in yelling, threatening blue murder, drumming up the war beat and sending in the Forces to use force – he’s weak, scared, tired, confused — everything they’d like us to believe as they wish they could believe it to.
To use an old saying “in their dreams” !!!
In his autobiography, VV talks of when he first became PM back in 1999, and Chechnya was a big problem. He knew from the Intel he’d been seeing as head of FSB, that it wasn’t just a gang of thugs in Chechnya – they had read-outs of communications saying “Russia is weak as never before; now is our chance {to storm up the centre from the underbelly, and split Russia in two}.”
He was facing the death of Russia. But did he rush in? No. As he said about how he began to tackle the problem then
” I met with the top officials of Minister of Defense, The General Staff, an the interior Ministry. We met almost every day – sometimes twice a day. And with a lot of fine-tuning, the ministries were consolidate. The first thing that I had to do was over come the disarray among the ministries. The army didn’t understand what the Interior Ministry was doing, and the FSB was criticising everyone and not taking responsibility for anything. We had to become one team, one single organism. Only then would we be successful”
And as we know, successful they were. I am absolutely certain that Putin had the same critics back then ” he’s weak, he’s not doing anything, Russia is doomed” etc.
Some people just cannot see beyond the bubble of their own culture which they live in. If you dont behave like a American, you are “bizarre” [said of a shirtless Putin horse riding in the sun], weak, etc etc.
No doing anything with them I guess.
I posted a response to Larchmonter earlier, which had some depth of content, not a word that was remotely offensive, and contained a quote I took from the Autobiography of V.V. “First Person”.
I posted it the same time I posted this one : “Of course any serious nation has its red lines. If wise, its leaders make it clear where those lines lie.” timed at 10.41 a.m.
It has not been posted, whereas the other has. Can you tell you tell me why, please? `
Perhaps you can re-post that comment, mod.
:-)
I think you found it Mod. Thanks.
