Listening to the western corporate media one would get the impression that the Kremlin controls all the Russian media with an iron grip and that not a word of criticism of Russia, nevermind Putin himself, is ever allowed. So bad is this situation that the AngloZionists are now funding new “information” efforts to counter-act the Russian propaganda machine and bring some much needed information to the Russian people who clearly do not realize that they are being lied to and deprived from any truthful or even alternative information.
In reality, nothing could be further from the truth.
First, while some Directorates of the KGB have been renamed and reorganized, the Directorate in charge of dissidents, “other thinkers” and assorted ideological “enemies of the state” (the 5th Main Directorate) has been disbanded completely. So there is no “ideological police in Russia”. Some forms of speech are, indeed, banned – “extremist” speech (terrorism, violence, racism, hate speech, etc.) and some specific organizations, like the Ukrainian “Right Sector” or the Tatar “Mejlis”. Other than that, the only control over speech in Russia is based on criminal charges. So, really, Russia is not unique in that matter at all – she more or less does the exact same as European states.
Second, there is *a lot* of criticism of Putin and the government in general in a very active RuNet (Russian Internet), not only in Russia, but also worldwide (USA, Canada, Kazakhstan, the Ukraine, etc.). Some of the criticism comes from a rather small pro-US minority, but most of it comes from the anti-US camp: nationalists, Communists and critics of the government economic policies all blame Putin for being too weak and unwilling to confront the West frontally. Unlike in the Ukraine, foreign media organizations are not banned, and neither are their broadcasts or newspapers.
Third, most of the Moscow-based “money elite” (I don’t want to call them “intelligentsia”) absolutely loathe Putin and his policies, and they are not shy about speaking their minds about him. If you want to test that hypothesis, just talk to wealthy Russian tourists and you will see that, as a rule, they don’t support Putin at all. And, as we know, “money talks” and a lot of Russian money is most definitely opposed to Putin.
But that does not mean that there is no Russian counter-propaganda at all. There is, and it is very effective. But what makes it unique is the way in which it operates.
I suspect that the fantastically incompetent ways in which the 5th Main Directorate of the KGB worked to try to deal with anti-Soviet feelings has left a deep mark on younger generation of state security officers who have learned from these mistakes and have taken a diametrically opposite course: instead of trying to silencw the western propaganda – they actually actively promote it!
Yup, that’s right. The Kremlin and the clearly pro-Putin journalists go out of their way to give as much air time to the most rabid anti-Kremlin critiques as possible, especially on Russian TV talkshows.
The most popular Russian TV talkshows (Evening with Vladimir Soloviev, Time will Show with Petr Tolstoi, Right to Know with Dmitrii Kulikov, Politics with Petr Tolstoi and Alexander Gordon, Special Correspondent with Evgenii Popov, News.doc with Olga Skabeeva, Duel with Vladimir Soloviev) all make sure that the following groups get as much airtime as possible:
- Russian liberals
- Russian-speaking American journalists
- Russian-speaking Polish officials and journalists
- Ukrainian nationalists
These four groups are literally the “bread and butter” of these talkshows were they provide a constant stream of very entertaining political debates. Why? Because they utter the exact same nonsense which they are used to proclaim in their own countries and if the western audience does not really know what to make of this propaganda, it sounds so outlandish to the Russian audience that these guests always get completely eviscerated (verbally, of course) by the Russian guests invited to the same talk show.
And just to make sure that every person in Russia ‘gets the message’, the main weekly news shows (News of the Week with Dmitri Kiselev, Postscriptum with Alexei Pushkov) always feature long excerpts from western propaganda reports and the most rabidly anti-Russian statements from western politicians.
For example, the BBC recently made a rather grotesque propaganda movie entitled “World War Three: Inside The War Room” featuring Putin ordering the invasion of a Baltic state and a nuclear strike on a US aircraft carrier. The Russian media when crazy over this, and long excerpts of the show, with special effects and all, were shown on Russian TV. The Russian public looked at this footage in awe and dismay at the stupidity of it all.
More recently, the US magazine posted a video about and upcoming issue on “Putin’s Russia” . Check out the video here:
And this is the cover of the magazine:
Needless to say, the Russians absolutely loved it. Not the image itself, of course, it was deeply offensive to them, but the fact that Foreign Affairs has so clearly shown its true face: hate-filled russophobia. Russia as a drunken, frustrated and wounded bear. They did wonder, however, why the westerners saw them as wounded; and wounded by what?
They also loved the “Making America Great Again” on top of the page which was obviously the propagandistic goal of this issue: to show Russia as wounded as a means to make “Merika” look “great again”.
Believe it or not, all this gives most Russians both a good healthy belly-laugh and an acute awareness of the hatred the West has for Russia. “They only love us when we are weak, wounded and drunk” is something which you can hear very often on Russian TV, and the blogosphere fully agrees.
Another regular feature on Russian TV which the general public cannot get enough of are Ukrainian nationalists. Not only do they systematically deny any problems in the Nazi-occupied Ukraine and continue to insist that the Russian military is operating in the Donbass, they even come “equipped” with the mandatory “chub” hairstyle and Ukie flag of the Ukronazi patriots. See for yourself:
It is quite an amazing experience to listen to the evening news with live reports and video footage of all the chaos and violence taking place in the Ukraine and then to listen to these Urkonazi clowns explain that 2+2=3, that black is white and that the water is dry. I cannot think of a more effective way to totally ridicule the regime in Kiev.
Then there are our former east-European “brothers”, especially the Poles. Their main source of pride is that they are now part of NATO and they openly say so. They actually admit that “we are afraid of Russia so we joined NATO” which makes them look both as idiots (nobody in Russia believe that Russia will invade anybody) and as cowards (from a Russian point of view, that kind of “hiding behind the bigger brother” elicits no respect at all). So if the Ukronazis come across as clowns, the Polish officials come across as cowards and prostitutes. And just to make sure that everybody gets it, the Russian media regularly reminds the Russian people that Poles are constantly making the ludicrous accusation that their government plane crash near Smolensk was somehow either shot down or bombed by Russia.
Then there are the American journalists, mainly Michael Bohm – right of the photo – (who speaks a pretty good Russian and Mark Knuckles – left on the photo – (whose Russian is hilariously horrible and who sounds like a bad movie’s caricature of a CIA station chief during the Cold War). Oh boy, these two provide for hours of excellent entertainment.
Michael Bohn is clearly the smarter of the two, but he is also by far the nastier. While he tries, hard, to avoid sounding like a typical US propagandists, he regularly “breaks down” and begins spewing some very obnoxious US imperialists nonsense. He also loves to try to deny any Russian success (all of which he dismisses as “propaganda”). Knuckles is plain stupid and arrogant in a uniquely US way. Frankly, I am amazed that nobody in the USA has found a way to pull him away form the Russian TV before he further damages the image of the USA in Russia. Whatever may be the case, these guys are truly hilarious to watch, especially when confronted with reasonable western journalists from France, Greece, Germany or even a fellow American (see a good example here).
Last but not least, there are the Russian liberals. You have to realize that by now the words “liberal” and “democrat” have become almost insults in Russia. Here is a typical Russian joke which illustrates the typical Russian view of liberals:
A new teacher comes into the class:
– My name is Abram Davidovich, I’m a liberal. And now all stand up and introduce yourself like I did …
– My name is Masha I liberal …
– My name is Petia, I’m a liberal …
– My Little Johnny, I’m a Stalinist.
– Little Johnny, why are you a Stalinist? !
– My mom is a Stalinist, my dad is a Stalinist, my friends are Stalinists and I too am a Stalinist.
– Little Johnny, and if your mother was a whore, your father – a drug addict, your friends – homos, what would you be then in that case? !
– Then I would be a liberal.
Notice that the new teacher has a typically Jewish name, which illustrates the Russian belief that Jews are the prime proponents of the kind of “liberalism” folks like Berezovsky or Khodorkovsky incarnated in the 1990s. This is not some kind of anti-Semitism – this is simply a typical case of blowback.
So when the poor Russian liberals get to present their view on Russian TV, they not only are called to task to defend or, at least, try to justify AngloZionist imperial policies, they are also regularly reminded of the horror which Russia was under their rule in the 1990s. Just standing in the company of Russia-hating Americans, Poles and Ukrainians they look discredited beyond any possible redemption.
There is really nothing as funny has watching Russian liberals, Americans, Poles and Ukrainians clamoring that there is no free speech in Russia on prime time Russian TV!
Keep in mind that the internal Russian media is very different from the English language Russia Today whose mission is to present an alternative point of view to a western audience and there are therefore very few rabid russophobes invited to speak on RT. But inside Russia the decision has clearly been made to expose the Russian general public to the exact same russophobic propaganda as what the western public is subjected to.
In way you could say that the Russian counter-propaganda technique is a form of intellectual inoculation: you give the body just enough exposure to the pathogen to trigger an immune response, but not so much as to infect and kill the body. As a result of this, the following associations have powerfully molded themselves into the Russian collective:
Russian liberals → the horror of the 1990s
American journalists → US imperial aggression
Polish officials and journalists → russophobia
Ukrainian nationalists → the horror of present day Banderastan
This is very, very effective. The best way to prove that is to remember that all these groups have the support of maybe 3-6% of the Russian population, max. A solid 95%+ is resolutely opposed to them and don’t want them to have any say or even influence in the future of Russia.
As an ex-Cold warrior myself, I remember well how ridiculous Soviet propaganda was and how nobody would take it seriously, not in the West and not in the East. Now the tables have turned and it is the western propaganda which is not taken seriously anywhere (well, except maybe in Poland and the Baltic states) and which ends up damaging the credibility of the West.
The Empire’s propaganda is simply counter-factual and totally illogical and is quite obvious to a Russian audience. This is why the very last thing the Kremlin would ever want to do is to prevent the Russian people from being exposed to it.
The Saker
I sometimes wonder who the Western propaganda is meant for. Is it meant for U.S. domestic consumption to justify military spending and as a distraction? Anyway, $5 billion of this garbage was able to foment a coup in Ukraine.
Bingo
About the Western anti-Russian propaganda, Russians say that it’s very useful, otherwise everyone would want to live in Russia.
Today someone told me…
A conversation between two American students discussing where it’s better to go for studies abroad. One says, “Dude, I just came from Russia, I studied there for a year. The country is great, people are so nice, girls are beautiful, bars are cheap and awesome. Public transportation is fantastic. It’s better than anywhere in the world. I am telling you, I had the best time of my life. i want to go back and to get a job there.”
Another student is not convinced, ‘What about this horrible Putin?”
“Dude, chances for you to meet Putin while studying in Russia are slim to nil.”
lol :)
This one is good, you really made me laugh!
Greetz
I was in Russia as a tourist for just 1 week and the only thing I dream now is to go and live there until I die. It’s a paradise when compared to our EU countries and our middle-age way of life and politics.
Luckily for you russians, your language is a mess to learn and I think I have to forget my dream. Your language is your strongest wall against immigrants! LOL
I lived in Russia (Moscow) for 2 years and loved it. I would return in a heartbeat if I could. I loved the food, night life, language, women (I ended up marrying one), architecture, metro stations, culture, work environment, and most of all – the Russian people.
Not bad for the son of a cold war warrior who frequently brainwashed his kids with stories of “Reds under the bed”, eh!
Brilliant! The reference to inoculation is inspired; some of your finest work to date!
Actually, the analogy with vaccination (inoculation) is inappropriate and misleading – if you know anything about the horrors of vaccination.
People in Russia are sufficiently informed to make their own conclusions just by watching this rubbish, as they are not as bombarded by lies as in the West.
@Yuri: True, see my comment in /a-negative-view-of-christianity-and-religion-in-general/#comment-234457
Saker, you are completely wrong!
Michael Bohm is on the right photo.
On your main point I do agree. Western propaganda in USSR was much more effective in the 1960’s-70’s-80’s in the age of transistor radios, samizdat and banned foreign travel. Everybody got their news from the Voice of America and BBC. Today, in the age of Internet and open borders, they fail miserably. Some paradox?
Michael Bohm is on the right photo.
Ooops. Lemme change that.
Thanks!
@Eugene: Yes, but why doesn’t this function in the rest of the world, especially Ukraine? Those Ukrainians do understand Russian and could inform themselves.
As far as I’m aware there is still no blocking/firewalling against youtube and most other sites in Ukraine. So why do they remain in the dark?
@Martin: Because there is no Putin in Kiev.
No, But Ukraine belongs to Russia. And that’s where Putin is.
They can watch him on every computer or even smartphone, but they refuse to do the obvious. That’s the problem!
b.t.w – do you wear anti-BND-T-shirts when you dine at Centrum smaku?
What about Turks? More than half think shooting the Russian jet down was a good idea…because it shows Turkey is a big country. WTF!? There are a few populations of our kind, humans that is, which have national characteristics which define them. Such as stubbornness, independence or great honour, but also corruption, stupidity and belligerance. Turks suffer from a lot of corruption and a wee bit of belligerant megalomania thrown in and Ukies do seem to be suitable travelling companions of such folk while they’re both having a little revival of national definitions.
@ Eugene, Martin from SEB
“… Western propaganda in USSR was much more effective in the 1960’s-70’s-80’s in the age of transistor radios, samizdat and banned foreign travel. Everybody got their news from the Voice of America and BBC. …”
I could not agree more on this point. I lived through those times, witnessing many urbane well educated people being deceived by their clever lies, like some big children, believing everything they were presented by those “trusted” sources.
And one big reasons for success of that propaganda was a general feeling of “informational starvation” in those countries, due to an extremely tight governmental news control.
Also, the perpetrators were (are) professional masters of mind control in commercial advertising – and “selling” political lies to people foreign and domestic uses the same methods.
The foundations of these methods were laid by notorious “father of public relations” Edward Bernays ( http://www.jewornotjew.com/profile.jsp?ID=2077 , etc.), the nephew of Sigmund Freud, who once complained that Jozef Göbbels used his books in Nazi propaganda. See a most interesting article about Bernays: https://theconversation.com/the-manipulation-of-the-american-mind-edward-bernays-and-the-birth-of-public-relations-44393 .
Very informative article. The robotical kind of Russia bashing is common in the media here in Sweden, my country. It’s sad to watch. Recent polls show that people are succumbing to this bashing narrative and lean towards NATO membership.
My hope is that the inherent weakness in the western financial hegemony will eventually dissolve the impact of the propaganda and let the truth shine through.
@ Lennart Mogren
Propaganda works and shapes people’s frame of reference they use to make sense of the world. The constant hearing/reading of the “Russian threat” becomes registered in our subconscious as an incontrovertible fact and the basis to interpret news and issues and how we respond to them. Sweden has been under such treatment for years now (e.g. “the Russian invisible submarine”), the preparatory groundwork before officially joining Nato, of which is already a de facto member.
It is sad indeed that the Swedish people’s future will be placed in serious jeopardy as the front lambs to be sacrificed for ‘Merica and victims of the warmongering Zioneocons.
+This!
American propaganda is based on repeating the same lies over and over. It is very effective if you are not focused on that particular subject (i.e. versus most of the population), but becomes pretty lame if you take the time to study the subject and also listed to alternative views.
Unfortunately most of the people don’t make the effort to cultivate themselves, so the system works. Here in Romania, for example, any marginally “pro-Russian” or “anti-NATO” stance is basically met with hysteria and accusations of treason.
Yes, Lennart and Anonymous at 9:12 am.
The Empire’s War on Russia and the way it is conducted (by driving consciousness lower) is far, far more than a war on Russia. Rodina is simply the most significant and stubbornly moral inspiration blocking the immediate imposition of mental, physical, and spiritual slavery worldwide.
Rodina is an inspiration within Russia’s borders, but her spirit also reaches you in Romania and me in California and Lennart in Sweden.
However, the consciousness of many, indeed most of those around us has been deadened by a steady drip drip drip feeding lies and fear shutting down and deadening the consciousness of the populations that we move amongst each day.
This war on consciousness is centuries old and is conducted by an evil elite which basically excuses itself by pointing out the spiritual deadness and somnambulism of the victim populations from whence they derive their power and influence precisely because of the gullibility, cowardice, immorality etc, that these same dark occult social engineers have molded over many generations (in terms of cultural, religious/spiritual blind sides and weak spots in individuals and institutions they are a part of) and describe these masses, amongst themselves, as “the dead” and the “unbegun”.
In other words, the excuse is: “Look, you can’t do anything with these slobs! You can’t raise their consciousness! Look how they lap up what we serve them. Now what would happen if we wasted our time trying to raise their consciousness and make them smart, moral and independent instead of a bunch of mind controlled slobs??”
“You have no answer, critics of ours! So shut up and go away! What would happen is that our RIVALS would dethrone us by taking over the control of these billions of zombies, while we follow your naive advice and fail to get any significant proportion of these slaves on the upward path to internal sovereignty, real mental discernment, and right action. Our ancestors tried and nearly lost control to X, Y, Z imperial rivals. So butt out or we’ll kill you!”
In other words, “You CARE about truth and humanity, we DON’T! We can’t afford to!”
That was the point of my long post in the Cafe before this one, here:
/moveable-feast-cafe-2016-04-30/comment-page-1/#comment-233192
Who CARES? Who doesn’t? How did that happen? What can be done?
What can be done is to penetrate enemy consciousness and understand how it operates top to bottom. Ditto, victim consciousness.
I care. That’s why I am excited to share discoveries like the one in the above link and at my novice but accelerating comprehension of the mindset of the enemy of humanity and the secret codes, symbols, numbers, etc that they use to communicate amongst themselves and to control the psyches of their victims.
The symbol of the day is the symbol of Love and True Care itself! THE DOVE
And here, my own subconscious became conscious in the middle of my post in reply to Martin from SEB: /the-unforgiving-choice-enemies-versus-allies/comment-page-1/#comment-234446
For I have known about Al Yamamah (Thatcher/Major/Blair/ Cameron British arms (BAE Systems) for Oil (A Saudi super-tanker per day, for the last 35 years or so courtesy of Prince Bandar) for a very long time, but just made the symbolic connection to every other thing I have been delving into, of late, a day or two ago. Things start bubbling up from the subconscious to the conscious.
The Dove symbol = the Crescent Moon (not just in Islam…..also here, at the feet of the mother of Jesus http://www.framedart.com/product-images/AWAAQAHQ-R827375-AEAEAGOFDM.jpg
so Dove symbol = Crescent Moon symbol = Sacred Feminine principle = The Goddess symbol = Love and True Care = 93 in masonic numerology.
And it is immolated, slandered, raped, attacked since the early 1980’s systematically both in internal consciousness and in outward physical manifestation rituals (911 being only one of very many….). Coincidence that the arms for Oil Deal was named The Dove in the early 1980’s??
Coincidence that Flight 93 is the key to decoding 911?? Coincidence that Daesh, an instrument of the same NWO occultists is given the name of the Ancient Egyptian Goddess of Love and True Care, ISIS??? Like I said, the intent is clear: Burn her, rape her, kill her body and spirit, and then blacken her name forever and rule an enslaved humanity through the opposite of what these symbols of Love, True Care, and Courage (Will to ascend, in true esoteric light freemasonry) is the clear intent of the enemy over decades, revealed by their use and abuse of the symbol,as I put it, for the right side of everyone’s brain! Since that side of theirs has been shrivelled and destroyed by generations of fear and control behavior, as so-called “Illuminati”, how do they “Rule in Hell”?.
Through fear, and driving the spirit of humanity into the ground and under it. That is their mastery. They have no idea how to do the opposite of that. It was bred out of them many, many generations ago.
Ummm? That’s a glimpse into the minds and dark spirits of the sickos we are up against.
There was a joke in the Roman Empire : two roman senators were staying before the Senate and looking the crowd. One said to the other – look how many people are on the streets
– yes but between them are many slaves too
– then what if we force them to have a sign to recognize them?
– are you crazy ? then they will know how many they are …
Conclusion : let them mixed and stupid. That old behavior of the Empire hasn’t changed till today, even more, thanks to the technical achievements, today is much easy to get the needed “results”.The Love,True Care and Courage is for those who still resist this Monster, but how many in percentage they are,I don’t know and you neither Bro Anon,we just can hope.
Ioan, I appreciate your prompt response.
Except for your last 4 words: “we can just hope.” This sounds so weary, so devoid of action! The proverbial “Hope Plan”.
Remember the 3 part composition of the Universal Architect (light freemasonry of the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart variety……………..here: the Magic Flute
http://www.musicwithease.com/magic-flute-synopsis.html ………………. 1) Thought (father) 2) Emotion of True Care (mother) and last but not least, 3) ACTION: male child!! That’s YOU!!!! Even if you are female! It’s allegory, brothers and sisters………………..not a mathematical formula.
Now if you have 1) and 2) only out of 3, and that is “incompletion” that’s 2/3 = .666 and you don’t need that!
So nurse your male child back too good health, and get him in this condition, for Speaking and Action:

Then, when that is done, join up with Martin from Soviet East Berlin for the adult, Uncle Joe version:

and kick Imperialist fascist scum NWO ass! It got Dennis O’Leary going for a while, so you know it’s going to benefit you! LOL.
Actually I thank you deeply from the bottom of my heart of True Care
For it allowed me to go on this fun and breezy political consciousness tear!
Now, I have dull earth work (ugh!! real estate!!) to do. That’s one of the downward points of the 5 pointed star. But every few hours I will keep an eye on the Vineyard and the world, for the upward point of that star points to where I would rather dwell.

They are right if yuo block this out of your mind and refuse to wake up.
For “We the People” world-wide are almost completely divided against each other with NO unified WILL, whereas these psychopathic freaks are very, very unified with ONE WILL to have it continue this way.
Basic principle of the Universe: It rewards unity and punishes division, duality in the large (nation, humanity) and the small (individual human being). “As Above, so Below”. The universal principle of Correspondence.
So that tells you what The Great Work is: raise consciousness, world wide.

No, don‘t, one gets censored or worse.
Ewan, here you are right. You, as opposed to all others here that I know or partially know, should not do anything until you are cured and begin to actually care about truth and the fate of your own soul. Until then your actions and speech are harmful to yourself and to others. The only value of your speech (in written form) is their clinical dissection so that that study might point to a remedy, if it is not too late for one. We shall see.
The consciousness war we live in
is a war between the Way of the Heart, so to speak, and its opposite, Cynicism.
It is not about Russian or whatever nation´s soul versus the mentalities of other nations. To think so would be a step back into the ugly 19th century pattern of Christian-Occidental haughtiness.
The good old Russian love of their motherland, their “Rodina”, is part of the Way of the Heart.
But one can be on this Path believing in One World too – if one loves this planet as a whole as his / her “Rodina”.
Many, many Westerners are on the right Path thinking this way. And most of them do something about the issues the know by the means they know. Why, then, do they change almost nothing?
What they lack to get into some kind of successful action, I think, is correct information and, in many cases, spiritual discernment. Having no clear or fixed point in their world view, except perhaps democracy and human rights concepts, they easily fall for wrong ideas and promises and thus waste their energies.
Well, God takes their good wills for good deeds, their accounts in Heaven will rise even by the naivest failing trials of changing something… but this changes nothing about the mundane facts: goodwilled people who get duped into following ineffective methods to support good aims change nothing about this world´s state.
One method that surely has been overestimated by now is Internet and Electronics.
Well, those who are accustomed to get along with the technicalities involved can effect something, to some extent,
but what about the large part of the Western population who are not so good at using Internet and Smartphone communication tech – many, many good and intelligent people who would have so many things to say and learn, but would need to do this the old way, face to face? They get excluded, to a large extent, from the processes of public opinion. They are caught in a role of analphabets, so to speak – a corner which they do not deserve.
My proposal would be to found an organization that especially invites those who wish to discuss and share opinions and ideas the old way, all those being either inept at using the electronic devices or loathing them. I would expect from such discussion circles many good ideas and practical measures to really change things. The very fact that they meet personally instead of all that “phony phoning” would be a practical act of change and constructive criticism.

According to Swedish Foreign minister Margot Wallström, Sweden does not plan to join NATO. Quot she (in her written statement to reporters on Friday): “… Let me be clear and repeat what several times said Prime Minister: non-adherence to military alliances serves us well. Sweden will not seek membership in NATO …”

Who knows. When even “V.V.P.” is capable of a big about-face (bringing Kudrin!!…….), why couldn’t Margot………

There are lots of reasons to estimate that both Sweden and Finland won’t join to NATO. The future of NATO itself is another issue. In many ways it is nothing but well paid sheltered employment for military bureaucrats. An endothermic parasite inside society.
“There is really nothing as funny as watching Russian liberals, Americans, Poles and Ukrainians clamoring that there is no free speech in Russia on prime time Russian TV!”
Haha, agreed! And it also shows quite beautifully that old-time Soviet propaganda appeared dull and unimaginative somply because the West itself still hadn’t gone through the neoliberal rot, decay, and outright social decomposition overwhelming it today. Really, watching today’s West and its zio-gay imperialist ‘exceptional’ folks along with their even more hideous “true lovers” abroad gives excellent credibility to the Soviet notion of bourgeois ideology as mental illness.
Good description of the “Western” decadence, when they have to resort to blatant lies to prop up the rotten system. Eventually they’ll “cry wolf” once to many and the plebe won’t take notice.
he Directorate in charge of dissidents, “other thinkers” and assorted ideological “enemies of the state” (the 5th Main Directorate) has been disbanded completely.
Mistake ! Mistake ! Mistake !!
“Mistake!”
Proof please. Any links?
You are correct! It got moved to the Outlaw US Empire and is now directed by the CIA through its NGOs and numerous media outlets.
Lucky Russians! They at least can counter the vile and ugly propaganda directed against them by the Parasites in certain parts of the Russian media-scape.
No such luck for us Westerners. We have been treated as low-life scum since decades by the Zionists and their billionaire minions and their zillion agencies. Their control of all media, all academics, all courts, all politics, all arts, all entertainment is 100% waterproof.
The only domain we have access to to uphold the values and glory of intelligence, beauty and wisdom in open public discourse is the extra-territorial samizdat world of the internet.
Here we thrive and advance the human experiment in a thousand directions. Here the Controllers are mere trolls.
We do *not* have the internet, the controllers have it, and they troll by controlling and censoring out what debunks their lies, without caring for their self-given rules (that only caps, obscenities and racism are not allowed). For instance in anonymous 16-5-7 21:35, 1039 out of 1078 characters were censored, that is 96.3%.
As a pro-Soviet sympathser, I agree with the Saker when he says that Soivet propaganda was too bad. It as a weak point. Why? Because only was capable to appeal to the “yet convinced ones”; while good propaganda tires to convince or at leat “influenciate” to the “non-convinced ones”.
Look at Soros. He pulls “progressive causes” (environmentalism, monority rights…) against sovereign states or “axis of resistence” while he conceals that (or uses to “demoseticate opposition”) in Imperialist countries. This way he gets the Leftists (a potential aly of soverign States/Resistence Axis) alienated from the “target” States. One evidence of this is when during Yugoslav wars, Kosovo War included, corporate media attacked Serbs, their government and their president Milosevic as “gravediggers of Tito’s egalitarian Yugoslav idea”. Not for being “Stalinists”, “Socialists” or some of that sort (OK, also because that, but in a LESSER extent), but because of “nationalists which ended socialism”. This gets the leftists alienated from or sided against resistence.
(Note. I do not want to discuss Milosevic policies, if they were right or not, only to explain propaganda matters).
Soviet propaganda’s over-politization, otherwise, only attracted the “yet Communists”. The continual showing of Lenin, red banners and so on (instead of parks with happy couples or youths playing football) over-saturated the audience. This is not good propaganda.
Sorry for being absent for weeks, I am too busy now, and I have the pity of losing interesting debates, but I am overwhelmed of work.
The problems of Soviet propaganda IMO reflected the problems of the Soviet system in general. Two ways: One was that Communism’s theory said it was awesome and perfect, so it was impossible for the propaganda to admit that anything wasn’t awesome and perfect without fundamentally undermining the whole belief system. But if they didn’t admit that anything was wrong, there was too much dissonance between obvious reality on the ground and what the propaganda was claiming. It just resulted in obvious lies. (It also became hard to fix anything because nobody could admit to things needing fixing)
The West is actually seeing an increasing amount of that problem these days–after the fall of the Soviet Union, we saw the rise of the extremist “Markets = Perfection, Trade = Absolute Good” ideology, which results in the same inability to admit problems–every trade deal has to have made everything wonderful even if jobs got sparser and worse after it, every unfettering of the market (like, say, letting companies market poison as food) has to be an awesome thing–and so the dissonance between reality and the lies has been getting wider and wider.
Another was that the top-down-control nature of the whole thing tended to create a rather brute-force, simplistic approach to a lot of things. The impression I’ve gotten of the Soviet approach is that if there was a need for millions of shoes, it would powerfully arrange for millions of shoes. But if there was a need for millions of shoes for people with all different shapes and sizes of feet, some in hot places and some in cold, some of whom were construction workers, some of whom worked in offices, some of whom used them for exercise and on and on, the results would tend to be less impressive. Soviet propaganda obviously all came from The Government, following The Line. And propaganda is a fairly subtle art. Oh, sure, you can repeat the same message a lot, but it helps not to be too obvious about it. You want to phrase it a bit differently, and do things like have, as Chomsky pointed, out a range of allowable opinions within which arguments can happen, that people can imagine is basically the whole range of possibilities even though it’s quite narrow. Western propaganda doesn’t really have this “hamfisted and central-sounding” problem so much. It comes from various different sources–corporations, “think tanks”, intelligence services, direct government propaganda and so on, with similar motivations but somewhat different styles, and a lot of it is tacit–people saying things they really, or mostly, believe because they were selected to be media mouthpieces on the basis of being the kind of person who believes those sorts of things. Even so, in my opinion it is actually getting somewhat less effective in recent years. I don’t know if it’s that the media is getting too concentrated or positions are getting more ossified as there are more crises to be in denial about, or what.
Aren’t you a bit harsh on Foreign Affairs, Saker?
As a subscriber I certainly have seen some articles that were pure propaganda and didn’t contain a single interesting fact or point of view. But although pro-Russian articles are rare, many articles are long and do contain a lot of interesting facts and insights.
Wim, perhaps you have not read the piece by Daniel Treisman: “Why Putin Took Crimea – The Gambler in the Kremlin” (/counter-propaganda-russian-style/) There is quite a bit to laugh at. It seems russophobia has a dumbing-down effect on these sharp minds.
The author’s departure point is “the chaotic manner in which the operation in Crimea unfolded.” Which astute observation leads him to deplore the hard lot of Western righteous leaders who would rule the world with such benevolence but for a chaotic Putin given to rash, thoughtless actions:
– “in Putin, they must confront a leader who is increasingly prone to risky gambles and to grabbing short-run tactical advantages with little apparent concern for long-term strategy.”
Poor Ziocons, what a pity they can’t get rid of Putin the spoilsport?
This brilliant insight into Putin’s heedless mind is confirmed by an even more penetrating perception:
– “in the days that followed, the Kremlin appeared not to know what it wanted to do with Crimea.”
The Russians would certainly chuckle at this image of a befuddled Putin – and even more at this:
“More important, having deployed Russian forces throughout the peninsula, Putin found himself trapped.”
Indeed…
And then, this non sequitur: “If Putin’s goal was to prevent Russia’s military encirclement, his aggression in Ukraine has been a tremendous failure.”
So the Crimean effort was intended to be a remedy to NATO’s addiction to bases?
And how about this clever conclusion? -:
“A rational imperialist can be contained, but the appropriate response to a gambler who makes snap decisions based on short-term factors is less clear.”
Can it really be that this man thinks Putin is an irrational man? Passe encore for his imperialism: this ridiculous fear infects many in the West. But how does making “snap decisions based on short-term factors” translate as imperialism?
This, in my view, is the basic problem of this class of “Russian experts” analysts: poor reasoning skills, inept logic, the forcing of facts into a pre-determined mold, and similar emotion-driven sins.
I suppose this is what the Russians find amusing in these analyses.
I’m curious about the roster of writers Foreign Affairs put together for this issue, specifically the Russian ones. Anyone care to elaborate on their bona fides?
I like to read articles for the facts and make my own opinion. Big words like “gambler” don’t impress me and the article present very little to support them. It is one of its big misses that it refuses to recognize how smooth the operation went.
Yet the article agrees with what Putin has said that the decision was taken only after the fall of Yanukovich. And one can be sure that implementing a plan in such a short time frame there were unexpected circumstances where ad hoc decisions had to be made. What the article mentions about the selection of Aksyonov is a good example. Did Moscow not know for days what it wanted?: that is an interesting hypothesis but not more than that. Actually we know very little about what happened behind the screens in Moscow.
The article’s claims about “gambling” apply mainly to the international scene. What happened in Crimea was rather unprecedented and it is still unclear how things will work out. Will we soon see international recognition that Crimea is now part of Russia or will it keep poisoning Russia’s relations with the West and Ukraine for decades? That is something no one knows.
Foreign Affairs is the mouthpiece of the infamous Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
This organization is the granddaddy of all imperial American think-tanks.
The CFR is a key node in the brains of the American Empire.
Dear Saker, Thank you very very much for this article. It really was a pleasure reading it. Maybe one of your best so far!!
Христос Васкрсе!
This really started with a periodical turned website called “InoSMI” (now inosmi.ru). They dedicated themselves to reprinting translated newspaper and web articles from all over the West, as long as these had anything to do with Russia. As a result, the Russians were exposed not so much to the “official” russophobia of the Western elites (which back then was obligingly explained by the pro-Western liberal crowd as “ritualistic posturing” for the sake of internal politics) but to the casual, deeply ingrained russophobic stereotypes that would pop up even in purely local newspapers which were obviously not “official” at all.
The great thing about this was that the Russians were suddenly confronted with a level of Western existential russophobia they have never even suspected existed. Ironically, the only references to it have previously come from the Soviet propaganda, and were immediately discounted as such.
It should be said that an average Russian in the early 1990’s was more of a Russia-basher and America-lover than the other way around, in great part because he believed that the propaganda he was fed for decades was the truth turned “inside-out”. It was nearly a universal phenomenon: wherever there were news about a Russian success, they would immediately produce an almost hostile and deprecatory response, and any news of the same in the West would elicit wistful envy and more hostility towards Russia and its institutions. This is the very sentiment that the early Russian liberals played on so easily and successfully.
And so InoSMI’s appearance was like a sudden and terrifying thunderclap from the clear blue sky that jolted everyone into an alarmed awareness. Although by the late 90’s there were ample indications that the West wasn’t what most in Russia thought it was, the guttural russophobia revealed by InoSMI was really what snapped a whole lot of people from a tired apathetic indifference.
And by God, has the view of the West changed since. And the Russian propagandists didn’t even have to lift a finger…
Meanwhile back in the USSA, the political class looks about as spiritually and morally bankrupt–probably a lot more so–than the last days of the USSR, with the multiple changes of leadership, culminating in the horror of Gorbachev.
I present this comment to contrast the body politic of Russia vs that of the USA.
I should say, that when I visited Russia last year, I met a few younger Russians who actually do buy in to US propaganda. My Moscow walking tour guide repeatedly bad mouthed Putin. I finally had to say to her. “My country is trying to destroy your country”.
The two leading candidates, Trump and Clinton are obviously totally corrupt. Trump made his money with casinos that are notorious for being in bed with mafia types. And both Clinton’s have decades long sordid history.
Now comes Bernie Sanders, who at least sort of talks the talk, but in the face of massive vote rigging, is still on board, like a battered wife who defends her abusive husband. In this case, Jane, his wife, actually insisted that the Democratic party leadership has treated his campaign and him fairly. While they did and continue to do everything to undermine him. And he doesn’t call them out on it.
Recent article about the total fabrication of election results shows that the USA has rotted out, probably far worse than the USSR ever was.

The Beacon of Democracy, the Shining City on the Hill.
Reading Scott’s commentary, and seeing the war provocations and preparations, by the US, positioning nuclear weapons closer to Russia than Russia had in Cuba, while accusing Russia itself of engaging in provocations and aggression.
I keep hearing that the powers that be in the US think they can bully Russia into submission. And that there won’t be a war, a big WWIII type war, because they are too smart and to selfish to allow it to happen. It’s all just posturing.
But it looks to me like all the pieces are being put into place for a WWI stumble into war, and the Americans think they will get away unscathed.
You said: “Now the tables have turned and it is the western propaganda which is not taken seriously anywhere”.
-Unfortunately it’s still taken seriously pretty much EVERYWHERE in the “West”!!!!! It’s only us tin foil hat alt-media people who know anything different! The masses are watching the news on TV and believe with 100% certainly that Russia invaded the Ukraine and occupied Crimea with military force. They also believe Putin himself ordered the shoot down of flight MH-17…. Since I started reading alt-media news, I feel like I’m from planet Morgzuk in a far away galaxy trying to communicate with the earthlings. I’m in the Netherlands, so please don’t think this is just an American ailment. Anything called “west” suffers from this same decease.
Well, the State Department could offer up the likes of John Cirby to add to likes of Michael Bohm and Mark Knuckles to make the starring hit–LosTres Amigos Do Russia! Just doing business as usual of alienating friends and making enemies.
The current Russian method of counter-propaganda of choice is the correct one. By allowing the rabid Russophobia of the West (and assorted minions such Poland and Banderastan) to be clearly heard on Russian TV, the Russian population can see first-hand that the West is indeed: a) Extremely hostile to Russia, and b) Lying through its teeth all the time.
The problem that Russian counter-propaganda faces is in the West itself, where outside of right-wing nationalists, some (not all) hardcore leftists and some libertarians, the vast majority of ideological positions (all 50 shades of Extreme Liberalism) as well as the clueless population at large, accept what they are fed by the MSM.
The problem is that the vast majority of the population in the West (I don’t know about Russia) is quite indifferent to global politics and do not follow events closely at all. People care about a) Their job/career prospects, and assorted personal financial issues, b) Sex/love lives (or lack thereof) c) Entertainment/sports, d) domestic/local issues.
I would say that at large, much of the population in the West passively accepts what they are being told about Russia from their MSM because a) They know almost nothing about Russia (outside of some inaccurate or highly misleading platitudes) and b) The Western public wishes to funnel their national/social frustration against a “legitimate” target. A legitimate target in today’s post-modern, hyper-liberal West should be one that is: a) Big & powerful, b) One that the West can still patronize, c) One that is politically correct to attack (i.e., be white & Christian)
That final point, also tends to sometimes affect the now loyal lapdogs of NATO in Poland, Balts, Romania etc etc… It’s interesting to see that western Europeans will too frequently complain about immigrants from E. Europe, but not from anywhere else, despite the fact that the E. Europeans are often almost indistinguishable from themselves in several ways. For example, does anyone really believe that Farage & his supporters are genuinely worried over Romanian immigrants so much? No, but Romanians can be targeted without much fear of a vicious backlash from the SJW “Red Guards” now so powerful in the most prosperous Western countries. This ideological (and in many ways, crudely racist) paradox further allows the cultivation of hatred towards Russia in the core Western countries.
“It’s interesting to see that western Europeans will too frequently complain about immigrants from E. Europe, but not from anywhere else, despite the fact that the E. Europeans are often almost indistinguishable from themselves in several ways.”
That is absolutely correct.Being myself east – European,I was also confronted with this kind of view.
Once,a german told me that ” you are all indoctrinated with communism from Soviet era ” and ” you don’t now what is the real work”.Interestingly,as you say, these kind of thinking is largely approved or tolerated. The arrogance of the West in this regard will have a negative effect, which is good for those Eastern-Europeans to think twice and preserve their values in their own countries, their homeland.
Oh, and that Russian political joke about liberals is fucking hilarious! Zizek is right about one thing at least. Russian/Soviet political jokes are the best!
Hilarious indeed :-) Pussy Riot prove the point superbly!
Another fabulous case in point here is the hyperventilation, foaming, moaning, and groaning of our dear Liberal Imperialist Establishment over the pesky loss of Crimea. Amusingly, what the Crimeans did was actually something which even the Euro-trash is found guilty of every now and then: committing the naughty sin of voting wrong. Of course, we have an immense difference at hand here between “lesser people” not only voting wrong but doing so on such an overwhelming scale and “civilized Europeans” usually being only a little mis-guided at worst. They can usually be persuaded by due Zionazi propaganda into repeating the exercise but next time voting ‘responsibly’ so to speak, right in accordance with Western cretinism. Russians in general and Crimeans in particular — incorrigible lowlives the whole lot.
Russians appear to be innately intelligent. Why is that? Sitting on top of the world? The long cold winters? Great writers and composers? Ancient religion? A target for attackers? Home of sakers? Blue-eyed descendants of ET’s? Remnants of a besieged long-ago past?
Thanks to you I’ve become a Russian lover. But I’m concerned that Russia may have caught the plague despite itself. Seeing the propaganda upfront does not mean it cannot come through the back door unawares. Exposure gets tricky. The trickster lets you see one hand while he picks your pocket with the other.
Russia is dancing with the devil by courting investors from the west while discourting their propaganda. In other words the propaganda is working by not working. Russia is thinking correctly but not very deeply. It’s scary down there.
In my opinion Bro Anon is on to something above and below. He calls her the Goddess. She goes by many a name but her game is the same. I call her the Lover to cut through the shame.
Patriarchy has been using propaganda against her since long before the old stone age. He says ISIS is a current one. The propaganda is so effective that it is invisible. We can’t counter-propaganda what we can’t see. The goofy west is a strawman easy to knock down, a red herring we can easily detect.
East and West are equally brain-washed and heart-deprived. The anti-love plague is omnipresent and plenipotentiary, deeply embedded in our most cherished ideas and institutions. Russia is the best we’ve got but she’s hanging by a thread that could break in the next shock attack.
This vineyard is the best thing Russia has at her back. It’s fitting that it abides in the home of the enemy, a counter fifth column if you will. From what I can see from my tiny peep-hole Bro Anon is the best this vineyard has after the Saker. That’s a provisional guess that may prove revisional. I’m not talking about the personal Anon but the universal, the everyman who is not only brother but Sister Anon, as is evident in the anima anon in man the animus.
Don’t worry. It doesn’t have to make sense. Love as Lover or Goddess doesn’t make a bit of sense to our propagandized minds. The only thing I can do when caught in the rain of pain is to take Jesus’ advice and “only say the word.” A word is not the reality but a darn good door to it.
People have little real food on their plates. But they got knives and forks and they got to cut something, according to the poet. The only real food I know of is love; everything else is mere propaganda. I need to chew on that for awhile. See you later, alligator.
I think that Russians have one distinct advantage over Westerners, not because they are more intelligent, but because of their rich and sometimes painful history.
Having gone through Tzarism, Communism, Ultra-capitalism in a relatively very short period of time, has “educated” the Russians to the perils of excessive indoctrination of all kinds and an aversion to all types of dogmatism. Their historical experience has also made them largely immune (in relation to naive westerners that is) to cheap propaganda and sloganeering.
On the other hand, Westerners have mostly known just liberal democracy and relative prosperity for a very long period of time. The illusion of democracy has rendered them largely incapable of realizing when they are being played for total fools.
Regarding propaganda, listen to Bob Dylan in the 60’s.
“The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind. The answer is blowing in the wind…”

Thank you Jonas. And thanks to Dennis for his kind remarks.
I thought, “Ok, ho hum, here we go again, The Times They Are a Changin” like tell me something I don’t already know!
Yeah, the climate is a changin’ too! Always has and always will. Both are systems in disequilibrium. Which makes development possible. Like extinction of old species like dinosaurs with their lizard brains (the R-complex…R= Reptile flight or fight, the bottom portion of our own brains) and the explosion to prominence of the warm blooded mammals (slightly better suited to Ice ages…) with their lyhmbic or mammalian brains, where CARE resides. Don’t just poop out the egg and go hunt. Gestate the little buggers inside of you, suckle them at your breast, protect them medium term until they can fend for themselves. Warm blood, warm heart. Superior to reptiles.
Embrace disequilibrium and real change not the fake variety Obomber and these other reptiles are pushing (Windsors and Shellnhuber, their satanic eco-guru)
https://larouchepac.com/green-fascism
If you want no change, stasis, then you are for them squatting on the human race until it goes extinct. However if you want perfect stasis in your own life time, there is only one way: Kill yourself. If you want that for the human race or this planet, same thing: The Principle of Correspondence…you want DEATH.
For if you live, your brain changes for the better or the worse, every single second. You can only abort that change by aborting your life.
Back to Bob (Dylan, that is. I don’t know his stuff past 1980. I don’t know if he went to pot or Zionism or is still good. I’d have to visit O’Leary and borrow all the stuff from the last 35 years and catch up on Zimmerman.
What I do know is that my brain changed a lot since I played the song in the 60’s and 70s and heard it again on youtube when I posted it in one of my comments here weeks back.
While I was listening just now (Goddess on the brain…….) I suddenly understood for the first time, clearly, that he is singing (50 years ago!!) about Her, True Care!
SENIOR MOMENT! But I won’t start over. The song is Blowin in the Wind, NOT the Times They Are a Changin”.
“Blowin’ In The Wind”
How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail (White Dove = symbol of TRUE CARE)
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, and how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they’re forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
Yes, and how many years can a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea? (100 – 200 million years I now know)
Yes, and how many years can some people exist
Before they’re allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn’t see? Before he, you, we, they CARE!
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
Yes, and how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, and how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry? Before he cares
Yes, and how many deaths will it take ’til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
Just heard it with new understanding, thanks to Jonas.
I listen to Dylan to massage my brain. He messes it up and then puts it together with love. He’s about my age, actually a year and a half younger. I think he’s love sick like me. He’s coming near here in June; I’m going to hear him. He sure shows signs of selling out but maybe it’s just another change. Thanks for the white dove reminder.
Any time, Father, Brother, Lover of Humanity O’Leary.
I see Dylan as a runaway street kid who was abused in his childhood and managed to get out of it thanks to his performance as a street musician. Times were different in the 50’s and 60’s. Being poor had a different meaning in those days. Now the “poor” have big screen TVs and McDonald’s.
Along the dry creeks and sloughs and under bridges there are about 1000 poor people in our small rural county. Not one has electricity or running water, never mind TV. They’re poor. But most are sane and non-delusional, and young. Sadly many are very ignorant and even illiterate, but they’re not delusional. The people with the wide-screen TV’s, on the other hand, are sleep-walking.
Their nascent nostalgia is played by experts to maintain their delusions. This is the general condition – even, or perhaps especially, among the so-called “elites”.
I think that is a very effective way to thwart any western inspired color revolution in Russia and to keep the Russian people ready and motivated for what will be a long conflict with the Ziowest. But what about the rest of the world?
I’m of the opinion that Russia needs an information war plan to counteract western propaganda everywhere else; South America, Africa and the Middle East, South Asia and East Asia. And eventually in Western Europe itself. The Old USSR certainly was doing a better job of that than Russia is today. There were certainly plenty of Soviet sympathizers world wide and in western Europe. And I’m pretty sure the US was absolutely convinced that the USSR was behind the anti-vietnam war movement, the civil rights movement, etc. Whether true or not is a different story, but it kept western security forces up at night worrying about a color revolution in their own backyards.
I’m not suggesting a return to communist ideology. But I’m convinced Russia can do better than it is doing right now and some of the Soviet tricks might have useful application today.
agreed. But act it out in your mind. The counter statement will be seen as defensive, any information will be targeted. And it is to stoop to dignify lies with response. It needs to be broad and thorough. Just a “radio free broadcast” like theirs would just be easily dismissed. On the internet we can document and give references. The only other form in which this can be is in print. Good old paper, which can also be passed hand to hand or left lying in a cafe.
Yes, I agree completely. It is not at all correct that Soviet information and activation exercises („propaganda“) were never believed by anyone. I grew up in Westberlin and with all western anti-eastern propaganda. But with time I found out that Soviet sources usually did *not* lie, so that you could trust them. I was not alone in that, so hundreds of thousands marched against the stationing of US attack missiles in Germany and Europe in 1979+ – they were depicted as blind followers of propaganda liars, while in fact everybody did weigh what both sides had said. But the USSR also had cultural initiatives which were presented by their friendship societies – today they are too lazy or too stupid or too mean to do anything similar. The huge Russkij Dom in Berlin is mainly a meeting place for nostalgic Russian expats who seem to be somewhat embarrassed when someone they don‘t know want to have a look, too. While it used to be at least the home of the Russian film festival in November, in the last year the films were shown at other places – as if a presentation of Russian culture was not worth the efforts of the gentlemen that rule it.
Face the facts !
“Its only us tin foil hat people”
Jonas is right
Tin foil hat ? They say that to me too. So what do u do ! So i try to make them stay with the facts. Doesnt work
The facts have no effect, none at all … Nothing.
The truth is irrelevant. Completly irrelevant. Everyone knows because everyone knows and the media tell them what everyone knows.
If you cant change people you would be a fool to try. But if you dont try, then what ?
You have to give up, its everyone for themselves.
Lets get real here – were fooling ourselves.
Everyone believes the lie no matter how absurd it is. Look around you, face the facts.
And if we here “choose” to hide in our own pleasing delusion then were really are no better then the herd.
That’s the conclusion I’ve come to. Everybody is a unique being, each resonates with different beliefs. I’ve given up trying to convince anybody of anything. You’ll just end up angry and pissing off people if you try and badger them. What is that worth? So you can feel better about your views?
Kev, here’s a thought…
We(tin foil hatters) become the media.
Nobody knows because nobody knows, and the (alt)media tells them what nobody knows…. Until they know and then everyone knows because everyone knows and the media tells them what everyone knows :)
Alt-media must outgrow cable, TV and newspapers. Once critical mass is reached the “reality” we live in suddenly becomes a completely different one. One that everyone knows..
Any media that does not adopt a Pro-American or Pro-Western perspective is propaganda by definition.
Why?
Because the American/Western media IS the Free Press.
So if you question the Free Press, you are obviously propaganistic, a liar, and probably an Evil-Doer Who Hates Our Freedumbs.
Just look at all those people/media that questioned the Free Press and its yet-to-be-fully-confirmed assertions that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction.
And we can all see who was lying and who was telling the truth in this Iraqi WMDs case, right?
Hi Saker,
Since a couple of days I have another view on both the Anglo-Zionist propaganda in Europe (from Reykjavik to Vladivostok) and Northern America, and the so called NATO forces deployment in Central Europe.
Based on the fact propagandists as Soros teams and US three letters are well aware of the opinions, I cannot imagine there isn’t an hidden intent in their warped minds regard all of that nonsense.
Having a higher view, I imagine the benefit of all of that is to justify the massive presence of the US forces on European territories, just when the European peoples are almost ready to civil war against their governments including the so called European Commission.
What are your thoughts?
Piotr
The last paragraph sums it all up very nicely.
Thank you.
To put this into perspective, I claim for starters here that the average Westerner is a specimen of limitless cretinism, as will be proved shortly.
The modus operandi of Western propaganda is, in fact, very simple indeed: Just keep spewing non-stop slanderous allegations against the Zionazis’ enemies everywhere. The very first comment in this thread began thus: “I sometimes wonder who the Western propaganda is meant for”. Strictly speaking, it is meant for every single person who might possibly pay attention to the particular subject matter which the propaganda machine is droning on about, especially while Western imperialist violence and lawlessness escalate as per procedure. What I claim as proof positive of “limitless Western cretinism” is not only the full endorsement of outright preposterous lies, vulgarities, and imbecilities intended to wreak terrible suffering on a large number of peoples and nations abroad. Another most ‘charming’ Western trait is to cry foul whenever selfsame Zionazis “betray” their grovelling Western subjects. Whenever this happens, the latters’ cretinism reaches truly cosmic proportions. I mean, just take the old anti-Soviet memes about State surveillance, incarceration, and coercion generally. Now that the Zionazis are imposing exactly this kind of regime on the Western Heimat proper — poetic justice at its very finest, if you ask me — do you believe for a frigging second that the ‘exceptionals’ would finally understand what the hysterical slandering of the USSR was meant to achieve? Breeding instant hatred and chauvinism, sure, but maybe also as a nasty little “psychological preparation” to get them used to the idea that their civil liberties cannot be taken for granted forever? Silly question — of course they don’t get it. They are much more comfortable with blaming Putin and Russia, just as they have been kindly told they should.
I would like to conclude by commenting on a particular phenomenon pertaining to this blog: It’s quite fashionable around here to stick the label “USSA” onto the US. As I see it this is maybe not an instance of Western cretinism, but it still comes across as being disingenuous. To really make a point, it should be pointed out that the USSR never practiced institutional racism and that it brought literacy, culture, and science to its people without worldwide plunder, rape, and murder. This, I believe, should be stressed to the utmost in Russia’s own propaganda today.
What a joy to read – thankyou Saker. I’ve long said that – as far as I can see – Russians can be possessed of a subtlety unknown to the West, bar a few exceptions. This is such a superb example. The rabid anti-Russian shills are caught in a net. Laughed at all week long, when ever they do get up and start their expositions, they just spin themselves into the net of ridicule they are already in. Brilliant move.
And I loved the joke – Russian humour has always appealed to me enormously.
I wonder that so many Western people who are essentially supportive of Putin and Russia, wanting very much to see them win in this battle of good vs evil, are yet constantly belittling them; constantly fearing that they are all too dumb to see American “elite” for what it is, always supposing that Russia is a nice but dumb toddler who is going to be taken to the cleaners any day now.
I’m glad to see my faith is justified.
Since I like your comment, Isabella, I will try again to append this idea to it. (first attempt disappeared!)
My older sister has been “living off the land—some else’s..she rents for almost nothing, I think….in Oregon for several years.
She sent me this cryptic email yesterday:
“Russian ‘back to the land’… per the brief discussion of a couple of weeks ago…. similarities and yet some profound differences..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XtRYmu2otA&feature=youtu.be
Some people just tune almost all of the propaganda out. Watching this charming video of Russians on the land and celebrating their community and care for each other, I thought of Leo Tolstoy in his novel Resurrection. How as a young nobleman (clearly auto-biographical) he made the decision to educate and uplift the peasantry on his own large estate (rather than live the city life and just collect rent and foreign corruption…lol ) which begins a series of frustrations and tragicomic experiences, as the peasants show him that they have very different ideas of what they will do with his ideas—(not abide by them, that’s for sure, in innumerable ways of confounding his plans for their moral, spiritual and material betterment!) that thoroughly humbles the main character, a fictional copy of himself, Leo Tolstoy.
The more I watched these 2016 Russians on the land, especially their evening social life, music, singing feasting and generally caring for each other, the more I imagined the spirit of Tolstoy or his ghost, if you will, walking among them, stroking his beard and smiling with pride and satisfaction at their happiness and understanding of the land and nature and each other that they are so close to. Some changes just take a few generations! Impatient patience is sometimes called for. I hope you also enjoy being among them!
Thank you so much for that lovely link Bro Anon. It depicts a people and lifestyle that I think would be immensely enjoyable to be able to be a part of.
Things there that we’ve lost in our modern Western world.
Things that, in one way or another, we need to get back.
Hey, buddies, you have dug into something really big. The people in the video are the ones inspired by The Ringing Cedars of Russia book series published by a lay author former petty businessman Vladimir Megre. Very unprofessional writing of allegedly his experiences in the Siberian wilderness where he met Anastasia, a remaining descendant of the people who kept the pre-occult way of life of the previous and better civilization, had such a profound effect on MILLIONS of Russians (statistically, mostly well-educated low to middle class urban dwellers) who were lit up by Anastasia’s dreams of living a life of harmony that they headed to the land, united into communities and began building settlements (sometimes called eco- settlements which is not quite true, since it is the mental and spiritual part prevailing over environmental concerns). I should say I was one of the “victims.” After reading the books in the early 2000s, I waited for three yeas for my son to grow up to be able to read them. When he was 13, I gave him the third book, the Energy of Love, to read as we went to a picnic with couple of friends. He didn’t like the company of old farts, of course, and left with the book in hand into the woods. When he returned from across a tiny hill an hour or so later, I asked him, gasping, how was the reading. He said, Gosh, I feel like speaking in verses. And this came from a cynical 13-year-old teenager!
The essence of the books: people have lost connection to the living nature, and having a hectare of land will not only provide for their basic needs (make them independent in terms of food) but will contribute greatly to spiritual and physical improvement by establishing a kin’s domain for many generations to live in.
Guess what? Putin signed a law a few days ago giving anyone who wishes a HECTARE of land in the Far East with no right to sell, transfer etc. Seems like her dreams are slowly making their way.
I strongly recommend those books to you. Seemingly simplistic, they offer a huge volume of knowledge to account for the facts in the natural and societal life. I checked on some of the statements, and they were invariably confirmed by many sources. E.g., water as a huge memory card storing info until evaporized or frozen – see later confirmation by Emoto Masaru experiments; it was those books that openly said to Russians that the Federal Reserve System is a private family business (before that, everyone thought it to be a central bank, like a government agency in the USSR). Also, a reference to the Gospel with an explanation of Christ’s mission – he came to Israel to de-program (de-Zombie) the Jewish people who were made into mid-level managers for the high priests, in fact, any people could have been used instead, – and bingo, I was given a documentary book by Elizabeth Clair Prophet The Lost Years of Jesus.
There appeared very strong opposition to the books even though they never called for any sort of political movement or association, with a Dvorkin, a US Jesuit university graduate currently a senior professor with the Russian Orthodox University, calling the readers a totalitarian sect from state-run TV stations.
And the slogan for the Ringing Cedars is – Быть добру – The good will prevail!
At present I bough a quarter-hectare piece of land in a village and have already built a house to live through the winter (you can see it on my Russia social network page at https://vk.com/id106527119

By luck I came back here to this thread and read your comment, which I consider excellent. Are you the Valery in the website you link to?
I might get a book or two that you recommend, adding to my stack of reading material I must get to. My will is there, but often it is 1-3 pages and my eyelids shut, despite keen interest, the body demanding rest.
Thank you very warmly for your reply!
Yes, I am Valery, and I deliberately gave my son Book 3 “The Energy of Love” since it has a sort of a thrilling beginning. I myself went to the bookshop after being told of the books to only find a very thick volume – of poems and songs written by the readers of the first book! Such is the tremendous inspiring potential of the series. Then in another bookshop I found Book 3, which was the first book of the series I read, and later I managed to find them all.
The books do not have the same impact on everyone – while most people get enthused and inspired, some just a bit curios and shrug it off as a fairy tale or fantasy. But it works – the kin’s domains (родовые поместья) are slowly making their way, with some of them officially recognised as new communities, given a postal code (zip code) and postal address.
The gist of the series: humans lost their abilities and capabilities (they still possess them but they are dormant), and the main character of the book calls herself a cleaner who wipes the dust off the real world. Securing at least a hectare of land for a family will make it independent in terms of basic needs (house, food, utilities) and thus off the grid, free to create their own world. It is crucial because whatever you may say we are still slaves who have to work in order to feed our families, be it a McDonald’s takeaway booth or a tenure at a university.
Hi Valery, i was interested in your son´s comment about speaking in verse. In my spiritual tradition, and in other ancient traditions, when one´s inner winds move, you do speak in verse. It has happened to me at times. I think much music and dance is created in this way. One of my professors at UCSC sang ancient greek for us, as apparently it was sung, not spoken. Very cool. It is a sign of spiritual development.
so those Ringing Cedar books seem to have a message that is quite identical to what I discovered to be true by a long Quest of my own… I vaguely felt since childhood, but now know for sure, that what people lack today is a God and an acre of land, and not smartphones or cars! Awesome!
Congratulations to Mr Putin. His One-Hectare decree must have come from the Holy Spirit.
Our world won´t get into order without people turning their backs to the Machine, returning to the Plough. The first chapter of the book of Genesis is about our biological nature and about the meaning of human life. the first man, in this Book, is named Adam, which means “Earthling”. Human biology according to Genesis Ch. I is designed to fulfil the tasks of the Gardener, the Ploughman, the Land-Keeper.
What we are NOT designed to be is what we are today: helpless cannon fodder of Globalist Consumism, addicted junk-buyers and plastic-food eaters, smart-talking but in fact half-educated (i.e. half-brainwashed) marathon TV watchers and WWW surfers.
Genesis Ch. I will help us out of that!
Not too long ago, in the 1920s, many of us here in the West (I am German, born in Munich, living near Paderborn now) still knew the meaning of Genesis Ch. I, instinctively or intellectually – although those oh so modern city people who controlled fashion and public opinion didnt believe it any more, and mocked at it. Catholic Church, at those times, still firmly held on to this image of human nature. The Church gave spiritual support to the “old-fashioned ones” who thought so.
but today, woe! the West has been echoing so noisily for more than fifty years – since the German Economy Miracle of 1950s I suppose – with the propaganda that it would be impossible romanticism to return to the Land and the Plough, that only a minority even dares to THINK of such a solution, not to speak of TALKING about it. Modern Christian Religion no longer gives support to such people, as it has generally become a toothless lion. At best, one or the other of them silently tries to return partially to the Plough oneself, and having succeeded in this, justifies his steps towards the Globalist-Consumist world around by opening a shop to sell home-made liqueurs or tea mixtures, and by calling the whole thing “a tax saving device” or “a hobby horse”!
My proposal would be to make the One Hectare Decree known to all people in the world and to invite also foreigners to take part in this back-to-the-land drive.
I tell you folks: Masses of Americans and Germans will stream to Russia!
Terribly sorry. Book Three of Ringing Cedars series is called Space of Love, not Energy of Love (available in many languages). It was a dozen years ago that I read it, and it was followed by my and my son’s discovery of Canada’s Klaus Joehle’s “Living on Love” series where he claims love is the only energy which has consciousness and can choose where to go. Thus I confused the title. Too bad…
The second part of Isabella’s most perceptive comment where she focuses on the belittling of Russia even among Russia’s supporters internationally also serves to shed light on a quite “funny take” on the issue, represented by a most distinguished contributor on this blog. To wit: Putin is no (true) Marxist, Russia is capitalist and equally rotten, blabla. Simply cretinism to the n:th degree. Maybe this kind of ultra-super-duper-revolutionary Western gentry should be invited to “show off” in public as well, preferably together with their Ukronazi and ziocon Pindo kith and kin!
N, that belittling occurs because those western dudes themselves are projecting their own fears of the mind control that they are only very partially and newly slightly loosened from. In reality, they are still 90-95% in its grip. Pity them.
As to our cynical one, I thank the moderators for letting him slink in as anonymous despite being invited to leave by the vineyard owner, during his “spring cleaning”.
It provides useful training for the “pooper scooper” brigade I am happy to volunteer for, (time permitting) and it encourages me to pay more attention to lyrics of music that suggests itself to me every time he sneaks in and I can sense that he is siddling up next to a good comment, and squatting on his haunches, ready to leave behind another smelly comment to spoil the odor around one of much sweeter fragrance. Namely:
Get back Ruffy, get back Scruffy!
Get back, you flea infested Mon-grel! from https://youtu.be/Qkuu0Lwb5EM
Interesting, makes a lot of sense to use this approach to expose the critters for what they are. A very “judo” way of dealing with the zpc propaganda machine and their 5th columnists. Russia uses a lot of “judo”, I’ve noticed.
And in the west (USA) is happening exactly the opposite, they are hiding all that are doing around the world, because do not want to expose their crimes.
“…Do Russia and China realize their extreme danger? I don’t think even Iran realizes its ongoing danger despite its close call.
If Russia and China realize their danger, would the Russian government permit one-fifth of its media to be foreign owned? Does Russia understand that “foreign owned” means CIA owned? If not, why not? If so, why does the Russian government permit its own destabilization at the hands of Washington’s intelligence service acting through foreign owned media?…
…That Russia and China permit Washington to operate in their media, in their universities, in their financial systems, and in “do-good” NGOs that infiltrate every aspect of their societies demonstrates that both governments have no interest in their survival as independent states. They are too scared of being called “authoritarian” by the Western presstitute media to protect their own independence.
My prediction is that Russia and China will soon be confronted with an unwelcome decision:
accept American hegemony or go to war…”
From an interesting article by Paul Craig Roberts
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article44593.htm
It’s difficult for me to comment on the effectiveness of such a strategy. Strategies used in the West may not be applicable to Russia. However, the strategy described in the article would be considered too risky in the West. As mentioned by PLG, Chomsky’s work (gatekeeper though he himself is) on propaganda is valuable.
The strategy used in the mainstream Western media is to frame the permissible bounds of debate by two “gatekeepers” which claim to represent the apparent range of debate. The two viewpoints however, will only differ on superficial and unimportant points. Any viewpoints outside this range are considered as simply fringe and crazy.
It has been my experience that people adopt political philosophies based on their own perceived personal interests. If they think a philosophy will benefit themselves personally they will adopt it. The most sophisticated propaganda in the West is not political at all, but rather corporate advertising. Advertising depicts the wonderful life we all can have simply by purchasing their product.
During the time of Gorbachev the image presented in the West was that the Russian people looked to be integrated into the West for rather narrow materialist benefits. Blue jeans was frequently mentioned as a passion of Russians. It seems a silly thing to drive such profound changes.
The best response to propaganda is truth. I especially liked this post @ LewRockwell.com:
https://www.lewrockwell.com/lrc-blog/russia-forbidden-see/
“Writes Bob Gucciardi:
“CAUTION, the MSM will not approve of you seeing Russians in this light and we know why. Because the Neocons and Hillary hawks who run the state would not want our consciences burdened should they decide to make collateral damage out of them.”
Another approach to “propaganda”. Just press the “button” and let the world in on the secrecy… -Why keep it secret, if you believe in democracy?

Really interesting! Surprising too.TV in the EU is of such little interest to me I have had no television
for years. US television used to be good until Reagan’s later years before his Vice President had him shot.Computer use obviates television use. Under G.W.Bush1, the brilliant debaters left one by one, never replaced. Ted Turner’s CNN, brilliant news, was bought out by the Feds and made into commercial pablum news. Now all of them mimic it. Even the BBC, changed to death, about 9 years ago.
Saker,
Based in the logic presented by you in this article can we flip it and say that CIA has a similar trick and so you see so pro Russia articles forexample from Paul Craig Roberts?
Just a question.
Thanks
katehon.com/directives/dugins-guideline-trump-and-clinton-battle-will-be-bloody
According to Aleksandar Dugin, “…we can be sure to have all that we want in the near future…Clinton means the end of American rule of the world. She will stubbornly persist in continuing the strategy of liberal imperialism, blaming others, exporting bloody chaos in the form of color revolutions… By trying to retain hegemony and prolong the unipolar world system, the US will finally collapse because its simply impossible…”
If Trump wins,”… judging by his declarations, he will turn America’s attention inward solving her inner economic and social problems”, and in so doing give the rest of the world a breather. Acc. to Dugin, “Both candidates are good for us, for the world, for humanity. Hillary will destroy America, Trump will save her. But the American century is manifestly in clear decline. The end is nigh, and that’s a refreshing thought.”
Put bluntly, Dugin is dead right about Clinton, yet dead wrong about Trump. The two scum are very real instances of what would otherwise have been a silly caricature along the lines of Charlie Hebdo. As Dugin correctly points out (without using the vocabulary), Hillary Clinton is an all-out Zionazi thirsting for even more bloody mayhem, chaos, and squalor across the planet. Donald Trump, on the other hand, puts emphasis on increased repression, chauvinism, and bigotry within US borders. The problem with that approach, however, is that whenever the ruling corporotacracy faces a problem somewhere outside the US, the gung-ho fascist mentality of the US population, Donald Trump included, will respond eagerly “with a little help from the MSM sewer”. Bashing Mexican immigrants and Muslim communities — no problem — but since that won’t really solve anything, it is Hillary’s violently insane approach that will “make sense” to the average Pindo in the end.
Russian propaganda has quite a few beautiful little truths it could pontificate about.
What interested me about Dugin’s prognosis is that he dares project a timeline, ie; the next two US Presidential mandates in so far as when we may be able to reasonably expect the behemoth to noticably show signs of wear and tear. Could it be possible that we may be free of the terror that the beast has so long been sowing throughout the world? Its something Ive been wondering about and although we all know things cannot carry on at this tempo, rarely do we see predictions such as Dugin’s.
Westerns by demonized Putin ,make him stronger and stronger with high popularity. That is a false flag, because by this way keeping moderate and timid Putin in power control Patriotic and uncontrolled Russia society and army .
“the Russian media regularly reminds the Russian people that Poles are constantly making the ludicrous accusation that their government plane crash near Smolensk was somehow either shot down or bombed by Russia.”
You mean Macierewicz and his team full of cronies, who have very little to do with planes and crash site investigation. I am fighting with these delusional guys in the internet for years like many people here in Poland. Macierewicz is known as crazy guy and jokes about his so called experts like “simulation with can of beer and sausages” (this was real situation) still circulate. Only 15-20% of Poles is supporting him, but this is enough to win goverment election, because most of Poles is sick and tired about polish politicians and they don’t participate in elections.
https://www.rt.com/news/339361-ignored-warnings-polish-plane/
Many Polish & Russian news channels are laughing about him and his pitiful commision. Check out this piece from RT.
https://www.rt.com/news/339246-smolensk-crash-conspiracy-list/
Good summary from Russia Today about Macierewicz and his crazy team.
“We see this when we boil sausages for breakfast,” he was quoted by Gazeta Wyborcza, while speaking at a conference organized by Macierewicz’s investigative commission. He presented an image of two hot dogs as an example of how the hull was split.
Another professor named Jan Obrebski resorted to culinary sampling as well, trying to illustrate the damage to the plane by showing an image of a deformed Red Bull can – the energy drink marketed under a slogan “It gives you wings!”
This is a fine example, why we are laughing so hard at them. :)
If killing 96 people just for the fun of it is a good laugh for you and your cronies, then killing 224 people just for the fun of it must be two laughs for your. That must be why you needed two comments to tell us how funny you and your cronies are.
No, i was making fun of so called Macierewicz’s experts. Death of 96 people was tragedy.
Your reading skills are joke.
The sad thing about Little Johnny’s response is that it is a true reflection of the utter degeneracy of the West:people illegally sell food stamps to buy drugs, and tthey revere the transgendered Bruce /Caitlyn Jenner. The trylogy, whore, drug addict, homo really befits them accurately.
I supported the Soviet Union to the end. Most of what the Soviets said about the west and, about the cold war warriors, was absolutely true. The west and their broadcasting mouth pieces, military operatives and analysts were fascist degeneratives and scum. The Soviet Union prevented Holy Russia that had fallen trageically under the Petrine regime from becoming westernized/polonized aka Euroeanized. I am proud to have remained an Orthodox Christian, from the Balkans, a non-European and, a supporter of Russia in all its different political reincarnations.
There’s a popular saying in Russia: “If you want to make fool of a liberal — just let him say everything he wants. ”
Pretty self-explanatory.
The Smart players will always triumph, as wI’ll Russia. The ‘can do’ Yankee has ceased to exist and has been replaced by the ‘sitting on my laurels’ Yankee. The American dream is a nightmare and one has to be asleep to believe it , in any case.
All the propaganda will not put the US back together again.
What I really love, is that everybody hates the West here and recognizes that Russia is the only Heaven on Earth without any problems. Honest and open, with only one interest: the good of their followers. And Putin is the one and only true omnipotent Leader of the masses. Determened and ruthless, he’s what Russia needs. I hope he will stay for the next block of 17 years. Looking at the level of prosperity in Russia he’s all Russia needs.
Compared to the US led alternative every word you wrote was truer than you intended.
Very funny exposure. Thanks.
Great great article and very funny. Thanks.
I can’t help but wonder after reading and listening to both American and Russian news articles if the huge gap between the content (Russian = mainly intelligent and American = mostly crap) might be attributable to the food consumed by each culture? Americans mainly consume processed GMO stuff while Russians still consume (as far as I know) non-GMO food. I’m serious about this. Could this actually be part of the explanation?
this would be too simple.
I think the low cultural level in Western TV to be the fault of our almost omnipotent Public Relations psycho-engineers.
They think that happy stupidity is the state of mind that fits best to Capitalism, as it makes people buy and buy and pay and pay, and gets them into stupid mistakes in life, for the correction or management of which they got to buy and pay even more.
thats why we got drowned in low-quality “entertainment” on most of our TV canals, mixed with advertisements of the same niveau, to an extent that one often cannot clearly distinguish on T.V. what is an ad and what is a show
– even in Germany, where this mental disease has not proceeded as far yet as in USA.
Being stupid enough to live on junk GMO food and be happy with that… is only one of many consequences of this deliberate, criminal mal-education of Western people by the P.R. experts.
One of the best things in old GDR was a strict limitation as to advertisement and P.R. Ads had to be informative and serious, without any trace of psychological trickery. The West, or to say it more clearly, the whole World of Today, would desperately need to re-implement this limitation.
If we don´t, it will take only one more generation for us to mentally go down to kindergarten level.
Our present generation already is on Elementary School level…
Thats why Bart Simpson never grows up ;-) !
At least there are two typos:
There is really nothing as funny has watching Russian liberals, …
= as funny as…
– – –
The Russian media when crazy over this,..
= went crazy over this…
good article… pithy as well as humorous… good on you… I wonder if ‘stupid’ is defined as ‘the west’ ?
The reason why cold war style anti-russian campaign can’t work is quite simple – millions of Europeans have traveled in Russia during 1990’s, 2000’s and 2010’s and found that there is no Soviet Union existing. Those days have gone forever. If you wanna see Gulag go Texas or Kansas.
On the other hand those same Europeans are seeing in their every day life how hollow the claim of triumph of market capitalism have been especially since 1980’s. It’s pretty hard to sell that black&white propaganda picture to public (free west vs.dictatorship in east). When continuing that bashing and banging the propaganda machine itself is corrupting society and making folks more angry and cynic towards their own regime. The way things are now makes it also very challenging for increasing patriotism. For instance where are you seeing popular united patriots of Europeans and Americans marching to fight voluntary for Kiev regime like once joining to Spanish Civil War?
I have fun with, cause I found exactly what I was taking a look for. You have ended my four day long hunt! God Bless you man. Have a nice day. Bye|

Propaganda picture of Russian Bear on magazine cover looks to me a bit different than the idea that it shows “Russia as a drunken, frustrated and wounded bear”.
To my old eyes the Bear looks as though he was gazing at his tough-but-beaten, opponent after a brutal fight. Gazing with anger at what the fight has cost… And anger at the burden the victory is going to entail…musing on reparations…Alaska.. the cost to maintain military police in the parts of north america that remained populated…
That’s the trouble with the tone of the agitprop nowadays…too shrill…the narrative world-view of the audience, the rubes, is lost when the rubes see the opposite of the intent of the propagandists…
The shrillness bespeaks of desperation, fear, panic…the classic qualities that presage defeat.
Bummer. People can do better than this, can’t they?
I do not hate Russia, and I am an American. I am glad for the People of Russia. You did what we will never be allowed to do, because of forces moving in our world that will never let it happen (not that some won’t try but they would rather destroy America completely than let us gain what you have, and they are destroying us from within quickly)… You sought for and regained your Freedom. I am glad for you. I am happy that my human brothers and sisters in Russia are free, or as free as can be in our screwed up world. Cherish your freedom.
I wish you all well.
Marvelous presentation of RU inside thinking.
Wonderfull stuff, it made my day.
