Dear friends
It’s day 10 of the Russian special operation and in this commentary I will try to sum up some of the most critical developments. So here we go:
First, the now obligatory map of the situation as of yesterday evening:
I won’t comment much because either it is self-evident to you and my commentary is not needed, or this looks like an imminent Ukrainian victory over a “miscalculating Putin” to you, in which case no comments of mine are going to help either. So no more comments about the map for right now :-)
Next,
- According to am internal Ukrainian document which has been circulating on the Runet, apparently a leak from the Ukie security council, which admits 40% of the Ukrainian territory is under Russian control and over 75% of the Ukie military was destroyed. Considering the amount of fakes out there, I cannot vouch for the authenticity of this document, but I will notice that those two figures (40% territory and 75% of the military) are exactly what I have been estimating myself, especially the size of the remaining military (which is much more important than holding territory).
- Why are the Russians calling this a “special operation”? I would argue that this is a type of operation which has never been seen before. Ever. My friend Andrei Martyanov coined a very good term, he called it a “combined arms police operation”. Let me explain “combined arms” is, in the Russian military terminology, the “the main form of combat of modern armies, in which the efforts of formations, units and units of various types of ground forces are combined and coordinated with the actions of other types of armed forces“. This type of warfare can only be conducted by combined arms units and implies an operational-level dimension. In other words, a combined arms operation has nothing in common with a police operation, yet in this case Andrei Martyanov is right – what we are seeing here is a police operation whose aim is to disarm and apprehend/neutralize a criminal force which itself is so big that it is capable of operational-level warfare. Normally, police operations are always on the low end of tactical level sectrum (division, brigade, regiment, battalion, company, platoon) and rarely involve more than maybe a few APCs. This is clearly not the case today in the Ukraine where combat operations are clearly reaching operational and even strategic levels.
- What does that mean in practice? First and foremost, that the goal of the operation is to deny the enemy the use of all the technologies and infrastructure needed to operational level combat: communications, ammunition, petroleum, oil, lubricants, air support, reconnaissance and targeting, etc. etc. etc. Once that goal has been achieved, you cannot speak of a “Ukrainian armed forces” anymore, but only of specific subunits fighting at a tactical level. Again, the goal is not to kill a maximal number of Ukies or to flatten cities. The goal is to lower the level or combat operations the Ukies are capable of. This objective is been almost completely achieved. The key indicator of this success is that the Ukies are not capable of coordinated maneuver anymore. Even better (or worse, depending on whom you support), the Russians have total air superiority, which makes any movements very very dangerous (Russian fixed and rotary wing CAS operations include “free hunts” in free fire zones).
- What about the cities then? Cities provide a very desirable environment for defensive operations, especially if you are willing to have a lot of civilian casualties. In our case, not only are the Ukronazis willing, they have established an entire system to maximize causalities. In several cities the Ukies are holding the locals has human shields (remember that under the Bandera ideology, the eastern Ukrainians are “separs” which only deserve death anyway, so murdering them is a no-brainer). In some cases, the sides did agree to humanitarian corridors, but every city in which there is a hardcore Nazi deathsquad the civilians are banned from leaving and even ordered in specific dorms, schools, buildings which are then used by the Ukronazis.
- Coming back to Martyanov’s “combined arms police operation“, please understand that this is not a “police operation” in the US sense of the word during the war against Korea where the USAF ran out of targets to bomb since they totally destroyed all of north Korea. In this case, the Russians are REALLY going out of their way to not only spare lives, but also spare the civilians infrastructure, and not only because the Russians do see the Ukrainians as their own people, but also because each building destroyed by Russia is one that Russia will have to pay for its reconstruction. So this is truly a very special operation in the sense that it is conducted on a scale and with methods previously unseen in human history.
- Now we need to look at PSYOPs again. I would argue that Western PSYOPs were absolutely superb in their coordination and effectiveness. Oh sure, the Russians did expect some of it, but the scale I think must have stunned the Kremlin. And now, a week into this, the Russians are clearly fed up. The Russian just passed a law foreseeing criminal charges against deliberately spreading fake news about the military. As a result, all these Western PSYOP agencies are leaving Russia: ABC News, BBC, Bloomberg, CBC, CBS News, CNN and there will be more. Furthermore, both Twitter and Facebook are now blocked in Russia. As for the worst 5th column outlets inside Russia (Dozhd, Meduza) they are now also being shut down. Frankly, and considering how the West is blocking not only RT and Sputnik, but even entire domain names like .ru or .su, I think that it was high time to retaliate against Western PSYOP outlets. Ditto for the way the US and other governments have taken action to silence even individual blogs and websites, I would say that better late then never.
- The current US PSYOP narrative about the Russians begin defeated and on full retreat will not survive this week-end, so it will now shift to “the Putin’s Mordor Gulag is being extended over the suffering Ukraine”. Furthermore, remember all the accusations of genocide against the Serbs in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo? This is what will happen to Russia next – a massive wave of accusations of atrocities and genocide. As somebody who had access to classified info during the war against the Serbian nation, I can attest that even if the facts on the ground unambiguously prove the opposite, the Western PSYOPs and their presstitutes don’t care one bit and, frankly, neither do those who voluntarily listen to, or read, the constant stream of vomit spewed by the so called “free and democratic press”
This is crucial: the Empire of Lies is lying, of course, but it also knows the true score. Which means that now that the West has lost the war in the Ukraine it needs two things: as many dead (on all sides) as possible and to make the most political capital possible from this war, which means that not only must it last as long as possible, but it has to “deliver” the biggest number of deaths, maimed and injured. Besides, that kind of stuff pushes all the correct “emotional buttons” and prevents the audience from using its analytical capabilities, however tiny these might be.
Any halfway competent military commander who would look at the map above would immediately see that the only rational decision at this point is for the Ukrainians to surrender: that map is really a no brainer. But since orders come from Uncle Shmuel and since Uncle Shmuel hates Steppe Niggers no less than Snow Niggers, Uncle Shmuel will now aim its immense resources at prolonging that war as long as possible and with as many casualties as possible.
On a more personal note, I have to say that being a Russian in the West is outright painful. I can only imagine what Jews must have felt in the 30s in Germany. The worst part is not to see the herds of passive infantile TV watching idiots being idiots, the worst and most heartbreaking is to see people you love and respect being totally conned and fully accepting the Western PSYOPs narrative. In my case, it happened with close friends and even clergymen which really ought to know better (if you are Orthodox, then you are the spiritual heir to the Roman Empire, which means that you ought to know not only what Franks and Crusaders did in the past, but also realize the full continuity between them, the Franks and Crusaders of the past, and the modern Franks and Crusaders; apparently not all Orthodox Christians can connect these dots, what a shame, really!). Anyway, these are lonely days for me and my family. Then, in quick succession, I saw Roger Water’s interview for RT yesterday, following by the following Israeli headlines:
- Roger Waters Latest Disgraceful Shilling for Russia
- Roger Waters Heaps Love on Russia and Assad In Latest Disgraceful Remarks
- Roger Waters’ Hypocrisy on Full Display
In this interview with RT, Roger remembered the day he asked his friend Etienne what gave him courage and Etienne replied “Roger, maybe I am not alone?”.
Well, Roger, if you read these lines, know that thanks to you, I feel that I am maybe not alone either. You gave me courage all my life, and your voice consoled me in my darkest times, and here, again, you are with me. Thank you Roger, I cannot put in words what that means to me!
Frankly, I was sure that the sheer size of the US PSYOP would affect Roger just as it affected even some of my Russian and Orthodox friends. And Roger is an artist, a composer, a poet and a musician, but he sure ain’t not political science geek. And he might not get every detail of what is happening (he is way too busy, for one thing), but his heart guided him and that goes to show that what the West lacks today is not brains, though these are totally missing too, but simply a kind heart?
The French author Rablais (15th century) once wrote “science sans conscience n’est que ruine de l’âme” which means “science without conscience is but the ruin of the soul“.
A fitting epitaph on the West’s grave if you ask me.
And also a warning to Russia not to follow the West’s shameful path into self-destruction: what would be the point of a military victory if Russia becomes just the latest iteration of a terminally Westernized nation? How could Russia save the Ukraine if she can’t even save herself spiritually? Even the best military on the planet won’t save Russia if the souls and brains of young, and not so young, Russians are constantly polluted with materialism, lies, compromises with one’s honor and, above all, crass, ugly and vulgar materialism?
The conscience of Russia used to be the Russian Orthodox Church. What we see today in Russia is the Moscow Patriarchate being a faithful and obedient mouthpiece for the Kremlin, which is all fine and dandy when a man like Putin sits in power, but the Moscow Patriarchate served Eltsin just as faithfully and if tomorrow, Putin is gone and some Eltsinoid manages to seize power, the Moscow Patriarchate will serve him.
The Church of Christ cannot be a sycophantic servant of the secular state AND the conscience of a nation. It is either one or the other. God willing, the events in the Ukraine will affect Russia in a profound spiritual way, just the way the LDNR serves to remind Russia what she is called to be. As a good priest friend told me yesterday, “Andrei, God can act even through the Sergianists“. He is right, and that gave me courage at a time when I was feeling frankly desperate by the blindness of my fellow Orthodox Christians.
So yes, things in Russia are bad, especially spiritually, but I will not give up hope. Maybe a new Patriarch like Saint Germogen or a new Metropolitan of Moscow like Saint Philip II, will be granted to the Russian nation if we all repent for our sins, compromises, cowardice, and lack of faith (see page 105 here)? Yes, it does sound impossible today, especially when I look at “Patriarch Kirill” and his gang, but I chose to place my trust in the words of Christ Himself: “with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible” (Matt 19:23-26).
My next update, unless something major happens, should be tomorrow. First, I need to spend some time with my family and, second, by tomorrow late evening (Moscow time) things should be much clearer (not that the outcome is in any doubt, really).
Kind regards
Andrei
Dear Saker,
Please take heart & know that there are many US American Christians who have not bent the knee to AngloZio Imperialist wars of aggression & the Machinations of The Empire of Lies. I’m at peace knowing that the will of God is firmly behind the Russian forces & the disciplinary actions with their wayward brothers. May you & you family be blessed in these pivotal times. Many hearty prayers.
That was scary, are ther back up sites we can access the Saker if on channel goes down ??

Andrei,
Westerner’s are not dumb and heartless, however they are thoroughly brainwashed and have been getting increasingly more brainwashed for decades (their brain matter and CNS has literally been rearchitected).
This didn’t just happen overnight. Entire sciences and industries are devoted to brainwashing the western populace and foreign unwitting consumers of western propaganda.
The funding for the iPhone didn’t come along to “help people connect”. Before the smart phone someone had to buy the local paper or turn on the TV or radio to get their daily dose of PSYOPS. Now they get them at 10x the frequency in the palm of their hand, 24/7 from multiple applications and information feeds that correlate the same lies.
If Russia is to effectively counter this threat she will need to match these capabilities in the modern era.
We learnt that the soviets used to be the best in the business as the chronicles of Yuri Bezmenov taught us. He foretold the events of the past decade with regard to western societal collapse and brainwashing with stunning accuracy.
The failings of the current Russian intelligencia are centred around their lack of ability to keep pace with these developments and develop effective counter-measures albeit Putin’s promotion of Orthodox values is a good defence and still in place within the Russian homeland but not so much for the Orthodox in western countries.
This isn’t surprising since the old guard running the PSYOPs during the soviet union left for Israel and the US/western countries during and after the collapse of the soviet union.
There are many westerners who know its all lies and propaganda and they empathise with everyone involved.
Most are too afraid to speak up because holding ‘unauthorised’ views may constitute thought-crimes. They wouldn’t publicly display them for fear of losing their job, bank account, social media accounts, reputations and ability to provide for their family’s. If fact these people are probably actively displaying conforming views to camouflage amongst the immense propaganda campaign and the rest of the NPC-borg.
After all, where would they go after the inevitable cancelling? Russia? China? South America? THERE IS NO WHERE TO GO ANYMORE. America was the last fee place on earth and its been successfully subjugated/destroyed over the past 20 years (for now).
America is in such a bad state all that Europe, Russia and China have to do is successfully wait long enough for collapse.
Lets us pray that the neocons finally wakeup and reconsider their suicidal objectives – it’s better for everyone on earth.
Russians, Americans, pshyops, cointelpro, NKVD, Bezmenov, CIA, KGB,…and on and on and on…
Russians electing Trump, Russians interfering with the dog catcher…
and never you look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdkfDze-T8w
Can You tell me why that is?
Is that not an organization, that lobbies in the interests of a foreign nation? Is that not worth a look?
Out in the open?
I mean, these are not grain farmers from Kansas ye?
What are they doing here?
and no criticism…? None from the snarkiest edgy funny-bunnies?
No?
I have not heard applause since Stalin, that thunder at aipac.
Why is that?
I would like to know.
So we cancell Russia…well, OK.
So we cancell China…got it
Can we cancell israel?
okokokokk….
Let us NOT cancel israel…just discuss the issue of the existence of that state.
Can we do that?
Are we allowed to walk that far off the plantation?
OT: Your upgraded site is working very well from Oz.
Super quick and sharp response to page changes (so far at least).
Btw, it looks to me like MoA is effectively now more noise than signal in the comments sections.
I posted three times a day ago and none seemed to get through to the screen — and normally I have no problem. They were critical of the current German Chancellor and a couple of supporting links. Nothing more or less than I’ve posted here recently.
I suspect that they were simply not getting through or the filter is dumping etc.
Anyone else having similar experiences?
Anyhow, it looks to me like MoA’s more primitive technology is simply not up to the task.
b. admitted in his last post that he has given up on the monitoring of comments due to volume.
I don’t need to post there but I did enjoy and appreciate most of the comments posted for their variety and in some cases insights. But at current volumes and number of rubbish/distracting comments (522 in total at last look on the current thread ) it is just technically way past its usefulness for a general browse/update.
b. would be better to just turn off the comments for a while and simply post his important views each day etc.
So, the Saker site seems to be one of the very few left able to provide a high signal to low noise ratio discussion forum.
Well done, and let’s hope within two weeks this madness will be into the next less frenzied stage.
They also had a ridiculous debouching of trolls yesterday, hijacking commenter names and all. This was in the thread for the Zelensky-Fascist post.
It was actually kind of comical in its effect. It now looks like b has cleaned it up, for the moment.
b said in his last post he was going to bed, and would not be moderating…..looks like the trolls crept in.
Cheers
“On a more personal note, I have to say that being a Russian in the West is outright painful. I can only imagine what Jews must have felt in the 30s in Germany. ”
Now, Jews rule the West and treat Slavs like Arabs/Palestinians.
Jews were also mass killers of Ukies along with Stalin.
https://m.readovka.news/news/90344 (translated) on the events of 5 March:
“It was the calmest day since the start of the operation.”
Strelkov over at t.me/s/strelkovii (translated) and South Front concur. Strelkov remains positive in his outlook overall. But he does write that operational successes have not yet solved any strategic task.
Various news, pictures and videos seem to show that the air war is heating up. Question to all you military guys: Why does a Su-34 fly within range of Stingers at all? Can they not use precision-guide munitions from high up/out of range? Guesses about the Ukie side: They had to get ground support going before they could start using some of their aircraft that they flew out on the eve of the invasion. That’s why we are seeing them now in increasing numbers. Ukies must also be gaining experience using Stingers.
South Front wrote already on day 9 that Russian losses had decreased sharply. They mention tactical precision strikes (drones?) and that civilians that resist are treated like enemy. Another question to the military guys: What can be said about Russian drone warfare so far? And what can be said about thermobaric weapons? Not used so far? Are they too indiscriminate?
Putin is cited by media. He said that there will be a declaration of war against any country that tries to impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine.
Other media reports say that Russia is exporting fewer fertilizer supplies:

Chris Martenson weighs in with a video on energy, inflation and economic growth. It does not bode well for the West, even if the title is perhaps somewhat sensational:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uk8vIA3EhPc
RT reports that more than one million refugees have already rrived from Ukraine. That’s according to official UN figures: https://www.rt.com/russia/551276-ukraine-un-refugee-number
An approximately equal number have been displaced within Ukraine internally. Taken together that’s already about 1/20th out of a population of 41 million.
Funny sitrep from newly-minted Banderastan Western Europe: Non-European immigrant communities are not taking part in the russophobic hysteria, at least not to any large degree. They remain part of the Global South mentally. Guess: More cracks like that are going to appear, especially as the economic effects of sanctions and Russian export restrictions are going to appear. These people have come to Europe to gain a better life, not to take part in a civilisational life-and-death struggle. And they are more resistant to cancel pressure than the Europeans. Some countries boast non-European immigrant communities well over 20% of the population.
I guess that the war is going to be decided outside Ukraine as much as it will be decided in Ukraine itself.
Apparently Russia does not have complete air superiority yet because they can’t hit the Ukrainian missile defence system – because the Ukranians don’t have their radars on. There are UK and US AWAC which just idle outside Ukraine over Polish territory giving real-time info to the Ukrainian SAM operators – and those lie in wait for a good situation, turn the radar on, acquire a solution, shoot and then turn it off and relocate again. While this might not change the overall outcome of this war it surely makes it very costly for Russia. Of course losses are inevitable but Russia made some crucial mistakes to end up being forced to abandon plenty of vehicles, including some top of the line AA pieces, on the ground and loosing even a SU-34 after having declared total air supremacy earlier. I would like to see the Saker’s assessment on the subject.
What is astonishing about that map is the lack of movement of Ukrainian forces. They appear to have reacted to the Russian offensive in the same manner that a rabbit reacts when caught in a head-light i.e. remain frozen.
There may be some local counter-attacks, but there certainly hasn’t been any counter-offensive.
I assume this is the result of the destruction of all command and control HQ for the Ukrainians.
Otherwise, how to explain all those forces lined up along the Donbas front and now surrounded? If they had understood what was going on then they would have started to pull back to the west on Day One while they still had a chance to escape.
Too late now: the Russians will bag the lot of them, and it is now just a matter of how many days before they surrender en-masse.
But, really, their only strategy appears to have been to hunker down in the East, and what forces they had in the West have retreated into the cities and dared the Russians to follow them.
Not exactly war-winning, but there you are….
Dear Saker,
You are not alone. We are with you, and we would not be here if we didn’t know already that you are right, and what the truth is.
Cordially yours,
Slobodan Cekic

Andrei My Brother,
You are not alone. I am with you. I know how you are feeling. I feel it too. Members of my own family are telling me my mind has been poisoned. That I am a Russian propagandist.
When I tell them US trained Nazi Brigades are murdering women and children they tell me those are Russian lies. It’s like we are existing in an alternate reality. Thankfully my Father (not my Stepfather) believes what I am telling him and has heard similar stories himself about Nazis in Ukraine murdering civilians. I don’t know where he’s hearing it from but he’s hearing these stories.
From my past posts you might think I am a bloodthirsty man myself, but I’m not Andrei. I just fear for my children and say some outlandish things. I do come from outlaws but that’s not how I’ve lived my life. I’ve lived honestly and worked an honest job and raised a family. I am 40 years old. The America of 2022 is unrecognizable to me from the America of my youth.
Don’t lose heart. There are a lot of Americans like my Dad who are putting the dots together and seeing Washington in all it’s raw, unfiltered ugliness. One of my best friends is a country boy from the Heartland. He ( and his Mother) are converts to Orthodox Christianity. He’s like me. He sees all this for what it is. He knows the Empire of Lies declared war on Russia and the Russian People and the Russian Orthodox Church long before Russia ever responded in kind.
He knows the history of Orthodoxy too mad he understands that his Celtic ancestors were Orthodox before the Great Schism. He understands that the West changed after the Great Schism. He is also someone who has read the writings of Blessed Father Seraphim Rose the student of St. John Maximovich of Shanghai and San Francisco.
Stay strong Andrei but protect yourself and your family. Part of me wishes to leave the United States for Latin America or even Russia.
Dear Andrei
You are not alone. There are many voices here in the West who sympathetic to Russia. And there are people who want to do what they can to help the Russians who are stuck here.
A friend of mine, a man with very little means himself, is now going to the Autobahn parking places close to us here in Germany where according to some reports Russian truck drivers are stuck with no money, no food and means to buy fuel.
If he finds Russian drivers there, I will also drive out there and try to help with what little I have. I hope that one day we can find friendship again between the German and the Russian nation. For now we only are individual people, with our small contributions, like the widowes mite, you know.
As for the majority of my people. They have been propagandized to the extreme since 2014 everybody who shows the slightest understanding for Russian politics in the Donbas is being demonized and banned from all normal channels like TV or newspapers. At the moment are all “friends of Russia” called Putin stooges and being under surveillance from the Verfassungsschutz, the German internal intelligence agency.
RT-deutsch is no longer available through ordinary browsers, you have to use some roundabout ways. I`m trying to do that and try to republish some of their content. I don`t for how long that will be possible.
At the moment I feel like crying, for we here in Germany are witnessing the downfall of our country into an open dictatorship starting with first a propaganda war and then a deliberate destruction of our economy to create the conditions for total brutal control. We live in scary times, all of us.
That is incredibly generous of You!
Danke!
BTW: Do not b scared. You know, deep in Your heart, that You are doing the right thing correct?
Who is there to judge You then? Who?
Screw them!
We owe them one thing: a speedy trial…:-)
Dear Andrei,
I had a 6 figure job, a career in a promising industry and a path to US citizenship.
One day I called my mom and said: “I am coming home.”
She said “Ok, we are here.”
The reason of leaving was an underlying feeling of not belonging and an instinctive feeling of undefined, not imminent but present danger (or maybe evil, I dont know…). Everything in me said I had to get out of there…
A few months later my mom told me, two months before my call, she went ot a monastery to see a wise man…
Monk-> “Why are you here?”
My mom ->”About my son.”
Monk-> “Where is he?”
My mom ->”In the USA.”
Monk-> “And what is he doing over there?!” / “А шта ће он тамо?”
End of conversation.
I will relay this question to you, the same that is realyed to my mom.
“А шта ћете Ви тамо?!”
Kind Regards
Ha, ha, ha. I think that what you say applies more to someone born and raised in Russia. I think I read that the Saker was raised in Switzerland or Europe. He has roots in the West too.
“…being a Russian in the West is outright painful.” Someone like you, on the other hand, feels just concern. The Saker is powerful (known). What am I doing here? (A joke, I have roots here.)
@tranquilocomp
Forgive me for in the following I will be arogant and try to put a man of boundles wisdom into a small box with walls. I am not a conesseur of people nor have I meet the man, but I read…And these walls are only there for me to grasp him as a person, temporary logical boundaries.
If I am not mistaken, Andrei is first and foremost a man od God, or that would be my perception of him. Hence all the land under this bright blue sky is just as much as his, as it is anybodies. He is a free man in every sence of this word, only bound by the love for his family&friends, and a selfimposed duty to live withing the words
“Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven.” His path, the seeking of truth, speaks to the many of us in a time that exemplifies “life with no purpose or meaning”.
In the spirit of his wisdom and freedom it is his choice (God has a good laugh when we make choices) to chose his place of being. And it is his teachings that taught me to ask, hence the simple question.
Respecfully
P.S. Roots, they run much deper then one generation or ones own lifetime. They span beyond the concious and into the heredetary legacy knowledge of the ancestral line, where some of these threads could even be ancient. One can walk all the way to the end, without ever knowing they exist, what they are and what they mean.
“Biden administration officials pressured some Democratic senators not to support bipartisan legislation by Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) that would ban oil and gas imports from Russia.” )))

Can someone advise what’s happening at south front? their map and their summary of current progress of the russian advances is at considerable odds with the above map and saker’s conclusions?
South front has a good map of the current situation in Eastern Ukraine.
“Frankly, I was sure that the sheer size of the US PSYOP would affect Roger just as it affected even some of my Russian and Orthodox friends.”
And yet American media coverage of where Russia stands has never been fairer than during this crisis. and their quoting of Russian leaders has never been more extensive and fair. The Russians positions are known. The main – all the main declarations – of the Russian leaders are known. The most recent one from Putin, that economic sanctions are a “declaration of war,” is known. I think they covered what needed to be covered. I’m not saying that they have done it like they should do it, only that i have never seen better coverage of Russia than I have during this crisis.
Regarding his “declaration of war” statement, it is not something he realized the day before. He has thought this at least since economic sanctions were announced in relation to the two proposals (the logical and the safe assumption too), and possibly in the process of elaborating the two proposals themselves (like so many others have regarding “economic war”). It is yet another omen, besides the declarations of Peskov, and the “all or nothing” (quote) guy sent to Geneva…
Not true.
On March 4, Friday, ABC World News Tonight, the Ukraine war map shown on the screen was not reflecting that day’s war status. Several disconnected red areas, that were all. Even LDNR’s western, southern progresses were not there.
For common Americans, who did not follow international news, that is a cheap shot by ABC. But for people who accessed more sources, the erroneous map was quite obvious.
One more thing, that particular erroneous map is not available anymore on the ABC WNT web site, never was. Just popped up on the TV screen, then poof, untraceably gone.
Not all the mainstream media is full of lying propaganda. There are glimmers of the truth emerging.
Peter Hitchens writing in the Mail on Sunday today here in the UK, says: “I saw what was coming. That’s why I won’t join this carnival of hypocrisy.”

Worth reading
Andrei,
I understand your sadness but, what do you expect?
People are sheep. Jesus made that very clear and the Western Media have a hook into people.
We’re experiencing a cult-like psyop against the people on so many issues and they are totally unable to see the forest for the trees.
Truth reigns mate. Sometimes, it just takes time for it to be revealed. As Christ said, in Luke 8-17
For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”
One more thing, Those who can see and KNOW truth are burdened by it which is how you are presently sounding.
Ecclesiastes 1-18
For with much wisdom comes much sorrow;
the more knowledge, the more grief.
If this is not posted I understand and don’t mind, but I used to be a Christian, or at least I tried and professed myself one. How many people have looked to see if all the citations of the Old Testament in the New do apply to this other Christ, Jesus? One? Two? On something like religion, you cannot be a follower, that is, to just avoid a basic scrutiny like that just because it’s all settled since long ago. Oh yeah, this world is that evil if you will. “How could God allow a confusion like that?” No, no, blame whoever chooses not to do that evaluation before making such an important decision. Had I done so, I would have realized that none of them applied; maybe one or two remotely apply which is the same as not applying. It was resisted well by Porphyry, Celsus, and the emperor Julian (by a few others whose writings did not survive).
I think the Soviets did not tolerate music like Rap and other “trash” tolerated today in Russia. No doubt it helps to have one Church instead of many. Whatever social problems exist there, if Christianity is something that succeeded like the other big religion, Islam, only because it could, then the most needed thing is a great educational system. The ed. system is better in Russia, I think, but whatever problems there are should be traced back to that educational system and fixed there. I think you cannot do it successfully (conclusively) elsewhere. (That’s where the ball is at, so to speak, and looking elsewhere won’t help.)
In Germany, all highway traffic cameras were taken off the network. Before, you could always watch the traffic live. This is no longer possible.
Videos of large tank displacements (Leopards) are also appearing. According to statements of the personnel there, it should go to Ukraine. Personally, I don’t think that Germany will send Leopards to Ukraine, that would mean war.
Of course, the Russians will also observe this via satellites and act accordingly.
Just hope the Germans are not stupid enough to intervene in the war yet. It would be the third time that we would be destroyed by the Russians. But with the competence of the government, I would still trust them. But I rather assume that the tanks will be moved to the NATO front in the east. Let’s hope so.

It may well be the preparation for a false flag in western Europe with a cyber attack which has been talked about by western media and the WEF what is happening right now is much bigger than the arena in Ukraine and started in Jan 2020. So prepare accordingly with food shortages coming and a lot of issues for western Europe as well.
Can corrobate that. No highway traffic camera seems to be online as far as I searched.
Brother, you are not alone. I’m an American born and bred. My clan arrived here just before the Revolution from Germany. Some of us are not idiots. Some of us have quit buying the lies. Some of us clearly see the United States government as the enemy of the people, not just here, but worldwide. Some of us don’t want Empire (of any kind). Some of us want our Constitutional Republic back. Some of us no longer believe anything provided by the MSM. Some of us are disgusted by the debauchery and decadence that has visited the West. Some of us see Russia as a natural ally rather than an adversary. There are, I believe, more of us than you know. Endeavor to persevere.
Case in point: https://kunstler.com/clusterfuck-nation/no-more-russian-dressing-for-you/
“I would argue that this is a type of operation which has never been seen before.”
I believe it was William Kunstler who called this operation a “Cleanu-up on Aisle 4”.
I modified it a bit to play on A. Martyanov’s country 404:
“Clean-up on aisle 404!”
I meant James Howard Kunstler!

@saker
I really appreciate your comment about the spiritual dimension of the war. Which is the main one that counts in the eventual outcome — peace and brotherhood restored, or more evil, more division, more suffering etc etc. There have been many “justified” wars in history that went astray for very clear spiritual reasons (opportunism, greed, etc) and caused extreme harm, even if militarily they were won. [I’m talking now mainly from orthodox history, I could give several examples but I don’t want to go too long.]
Also, no, you are not alone, many many people everywhere are either suspicious of the western narrative or outright reject it. You are, however, in extremely limited company when you point out the western lies and the merits of the russian narrative, without however turning into an unconditionally and blindly faithful war cheerleader.
Many people follow the western narrative, some people follow the russian narrative. Very few people are genuinely pained for the war and the massive scale of destruction, while acknowledging that it is a complicated issue, and the “aggressor” did have some justification that is hard to dismiss. I guess deep down the tribal instincts just want to pick a side right now, as it is presented in front of us. [Just like you comment with dismay on Jews and Orthodox people siding with the nazis, I also saw with dismay orthodox people cheering on the reported bombing of residential areas (much fewer of course, but still). Something must be wrong with you if you *cheer on* the bombing of residential areas to “show them” (whether the bombings happened or not — the tribal reflexes don’t bother with establishing facts).]
I fully agree with your assessment; we must pray. Our own repentance is what we can offer. This is the most important thing now.
The Western Psyops are going to boomerang when there are War Crimes trials and all the Nazi atrocities will be well known. The number of peace loving normal Ukrainians that will be talking about how the Ukro Nazis used them as human shields and or executed them. Hopefully the Russians will capture some of the Ukies involved in the MH17 shoot down who will finger the CIA. The West is acting emotionally (as Fascists do) and has not thought this out. Anyone giving arms to the Ukies shows they hate both Ukrainians and Russians
Is it possible that we will see a a situation arising in the besieged cities of Ukraine Kyiv Kharkiv Mariupol even Odessa similar to what happened in Aleppo and others in Syria? In addition to the humanitarian crisis that will ensue particularly if the humanitarian corridors are blocked the population of these cities will be subjected to increasing physical coercion and stress by the occupying fascist forces. This will include denying them food and medicines occupying their homes and fortifying and degrading whole residential districts in defensive bastions to obstruct Russian advances and increase the tempo of civilian causalities and destruction. The Nazis will have been instructed by their US/UK handlers to prolong the occupation maximising the humanitarian crisis for Western PSYOPS information warfare. At the same time this will buy them time and chips in bargaining their safe passage from the cities. Alternatively for maximum effect they can fight to the death destroying the city branding themselves as heroes in a script straight from the Western PSYOPS manual of the Empire of Lies. It is thought that some fascists will choose to leave (to fight another day) whilst others the hard core fanatics will dig in seeking martyrdom in the Nazis Valhalla. This split accords with the Western Syria playbook on the behaviour of proxy forces that are motivated by hatred and fanaticism whether religious or ideological and will be exploited to the utmost in the vilification of Putin (stand in for Bashar Al Assad) and Russia. Whichever way Russia decides to play it the west wins in the propaganda war unless the cities can be liberated from within organically by an anti-fascist resistance movement supported by Russia. Alternatively an army police operation conducted with surgical precision if that’s even practical to root out the hardcore elements left in the cities would also undermine the Western PSYOPS narrative.

A couple of days ago, Matt Levine reported no one wanted Russian assets. That’s changed. Bottom feeders are hoovering them up….although perhaps not yet enough to offset the selling pressure. From Bloomberg:
As the U.S. and allies tighten sanctions on Russia and choke off investor demand for its assets, parts of Wall Street are jumping on the buying opportunity that it’s creating.
Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. have been purchasing beaten-down company bonds tied to Russia in recent days, as hedge funds that specialize in buying cheap credit look to load up on the assets, according to people with knowledge of the private transactions.
Bloomberg piously notes that trading Russian assets isn’t banned.
Blackrock is also increasing some Russian holdings. From Sharecast:
Private equity giant Blackrock has taken a punt on beleaguered Russian gold miner Polymetal, doubling its stake to just over 10% even as the stock takes a battering from sanctions imposed against Moscow.
Note here Blackrock is buying this stake when the giant Norwegian sovereign wealth fund is selling.
Longer is better !
The longer the military special operation to liberate/de-occupy the terrorist failed state of Okraine/aggressive NATO from Nazism lasts, the more effective the process of denazification !
The civilian population itself is convinced of the misanthropic regime of the existing Viertes Reich.
Just to add a little emphasis to your nice article. The courage and spitit shown by Putin and the Russian people in the current crisis have lead me to realize we are currently seeing the limitations of pure rationality as it is understood in the West. The US believe they have it all on their side: money, power, and science. Unfortunately all of that is just a reflection of the past and it gives the US no priviledged view of what they don’t currently know, the extent of which is huge, so they are easily fooled by their own media. The guy who is both blind and deaf (the collective West) can,t make the good decisions for his future and the others in the East who still have their minds open will likely take the lead. I hope the transition will be short and sweet and the West quickly realizes the older tricks of making trouble in their opponent’s territory won’t help them in this case.
If anyone, especially a Russian or pro-Russian person, is listening to western Europe media news without an NGS-M (Nuclear, Germ, Chemical and Media) protective suit, then it is their own fault.
IMPORTANT – The French newspaper Le Monde starts to suggest that a Russian victory is possible. Interview with our top army commander Thierry Burkhard
https://www.lemonde.fr/international/article/2022/03/06/guerre-en-ukraine-le-rouleau-compresseur-russe-risque-de-finir-par-passer-selon-le-chef-d-etat-major-des-armees_6116336_3210.html
Le Monde also indicates that Kiev is quasi encircled. Only one bridge still connects Kiev to the outside.
It seems Saker is vindicated. Le Monde is the posterchild of the mainstream media in France, and I sense that the tide is turning. They are starting to understand that the Russians have the upper hand.
I’ve just been looking at videos in an English newspaper of “Gunfire reportedly heard as Ukrainians rally in Kherson against Russia’s occupation”. Is it not time to arrest these demonstrators, shouting “Ukraine” in KHERSON? Anybody who is waving a Ukrainian flag in opposition seems to me to be in need of re-education. Rather than liberation from a neo-Nazi regime they are looking at the RF as occupiers. Arrest, intern, and then carry out interviews etc., as to who the hell these people are, and what it is they are thinking of. This should be an urgent part of the de-Nazification process, as promised.
You are far from alone in the West. You just have to go looking for us, because they don’t put us in our newspapers and on our TV stations. Keep up the good work. We’re with ya and we appreciate the truth. Together we will one day make a new world.
Your description of a ‘Combined Arms Police Operation’ is rightly suggestive, although it’s NOT, as you suggest, a novelty. It’s almost exactly the same as what we, the British, call a ‘Counter-Insurgency’. As such, it depends upon an essential agreement between the majority of the populace and the ‘policing’ force. They must agree about the future of the territory in dispute–namely, that it would be better off WITHOUT the insurgents ( or criminals). This is not a concept the Americans have ever grasped. They find it much easier, when they are invading a country, to regard ALL the indigenes as hostile, which makes things so much simpler , but only in the short-run, because tends to unite all the indigenes against themselves? which may have been the only thing they DID agree about. The only Western country that ever defeated a communist insurgency, for example, was Britain. who defeated the insurgency in Malaya ( because the Malayians wanted them to). This accounts for the ‘gentleness’ ( Scott Ritter’s words) of the Russian approach in this campaign
‘…the souls and brains of young, and not so young…are constantly polluted with materialism, lies, compromises with one’s honor and, above all, crass, ugly and vulgar materialism?’
This is perfect description of life in the west. But in west we need to ask ourselves, who produces the media bombardment of these things? Who owns the MSM corporations, who owns the major media entertainment corporations, who owns the advertising agencies, who runs the media programming departments, who are the dominant editorial and staff writers the major MSM owned newspaper and entertainment media? And what do we find? The ownership concentrated in few hands, from same ethnic clique, and the editorial and staff writers similarly from same minority group that doesn’t represent the mainstream majority, meaning, a dominance of Ashkenazim Jewish names and faces.
Most people intuitively grasp you are what you eat. And will at least try not to consume excess poor or low quality foods. Advertising seeks to alter this and promote the poor choices on behalf of cheap fast food corporations, but people also grasp this. But when it comes to media consumption, the same rules don’t apply. People consume low grade information and don;t check the labels or the source of origin on the packaging. For several reasons. They have been flooded with propaganda that this is the only reliable source of information since childhood. Likewise. since 1990’s the ownership and representation of the major MSM and entertainment media has been constantly shifting, shrinking into the hands of ever small groups, and distilled into a dominance of Ashkenazim ownership and/or management. But equally, at some level people in west just don’t want to believe everything they are told is a form of advertising and with an overt political or commercial agenda, and that most of their steady diet of media information and entertainment is corrupted in such a manner.
Thank you, I just found your blog via TAE. The propaganda coming out of the Ukraine/Russia conflict is what Orwell referred to when he said that intellectuals created “emotional superstructures” around events that never happened during the Spanish Civil War. Much of what we are seeing is engineered to appeal to the emotions of people whose worldview is based on superhero movies and reality TV.
Those who were anti-vax and are now anti-Russian are being exposed as nothing more than shrills for the WEF.
Andrei,
I’m apalled at my countrymen for how you have been treated. There seems to be a mass psychosis of anti Russia.
Please know that you have many supporters. I deeply appreciate not only your political analysis but also your postings on Orthodoxy. I share what I can in spite of mostly negative response.
Sunday after Liturgy I mentioned your site in a conversation and found my friend had been following you for some time. We are finding each other.
You are appreciated. Thank you,
Howard
Dear Saker,
This is meant as a practical question: In Vietnam, the US had to deal with the problem of “Winning the Hearts and Minds.” I take it by now that you probably know about protests in East Ukrainian cities against Russian forces. I am wondering what Russian could do about the civilian population’s opposition, because attacking them would be immoral and illegal, and make them more strong in their resistance.
Let’s work from the premise that Russia was acting out of urgent nationalist needs, like stopping WMDs from being set up in Ukraine and pointed at Russia, and that meeting these needs are even safer for Ukrainians. If the population is so opposed, how would Russia run an occupation successfully? It seems like you would be doing ongoing longterm population control.
Maxim Shevchenko on February 24 told RTVI that he expected there to be alot of hidden support among very many Ukrainians for Russian forces to arrive.
(«Война была неизбежна». Максим Шевченко — об операции Путина на Украине, RTVI Interview, Youtube)
In his interview on March 2, he said that he turned out to be mistaken and that over the past 8 years a new generation of people has grown up since the time when in 2014 some people in East Ukraine were waiting to raise the tricolor flag when Russian forces would show up.
(«Я ошибался». Максим Шевченко — о реакции украинцев на седьмой день российской «операции», RTVI, Youtube, Mar 2)
