ISTANBUL – Emmanuel Macron is no Talleyrand. Self-promoted as “Jupiterian”, he may have finally got down to earth for a proper realpolitik insight while ruminating one of the former French Minister of Foreign Affairs key bon mots: “A diplomat who says ‘yes’ means ‘maybe’, a diplomat who says ‘maybe’ means ‘no’, and a diplomat who says ‘no’ is no diplomat.”
Mr. Macron went to Moscow to see Mr. Putin with a simple 4-stage plan in mind. 1. Clinch a wide-ranging deal with Putin on Ukraine, thus stopping “Russian aggression”. 2. Bask in the glow as the West’s Peacemaker. 3. Raise the EU’s tawdry profile, as he’s the current president of the EU Council. 4. Collect all the spoils then bag the April presidential election in France.
Considering he all but begged for an audience in a flurry of phone calls, Macron was received by Putin with no special honors. Comic relief was provided by French mainstream media hysterics, “military strategists” included, evoking the “French castle” sketch in Monty Python’s Holy Grail while reaffirming every stereotype available about “cowardly frogs”. Their “analysis”: Putin is “isolated” and wants “the military option”. Their top intel source: Bezos-owned CIA rag The Washington Post.
Still, it was fascinating to watch – oh, that loooooong table in the Kremlin: the only EU leader who took the trouble to actually listen to Putin was the one who, months ago, pronounced NATO as “brain-dead”. So the ghosts of Charles de Gaulle and Talleyrand did seem to have engaged in a lively chat, framed by raw economics, finally imprinting on the “Jupiterian” that the imperial obsession on preventing Europe by all means from profiting from wider trade with Eurasia is a losing game.
After a strenuous six hours of discussions Putin, predictably, monopolized the eminently quotable department, starting with one that will be reverberating all across the Global South for a long time: “Citizens of Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia have seen how peaceful is NATO.”
There’s more. The already iconic Do you want a war between Russia and NATO? – followed by the ominous “there will be no winners”. Or take this one, on Maidan: “Since February 2014, Russia has considered a coup d’état to be the source of power in Ukraine. This is a bad sandbox, we don’t like this kind of game.”
On the Minsk agreements, the message was blunt: “The President of Ukraine has said that he does not like any of the clauses of the Minsk agreements. Like it, or not – be patient, my beauty. They must be fulfilled.”
The “real issue behind the present crisis”
Macron for his part stressed, “new mechanisms are needed to ensure stability in Europe, but not by revising existing agreements, perhaps new security solutions would be innovative.” So nothing that Moscow had not stressed before. He added, “France and Russia have agreed to work together on security guarantees.” The operative term is “France”. Not the non-agreement capable United States government.
Anglo-American spin insisted that Putin had agreed not to launch new “military initiatives” – while keeping mum on what Macron promised in return. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not confirm any agreement. He only said that the Kremlin will engage with Macron’s dialogue proposals, “provided that the United States also agrees with them.” And for that, as everyone knows, there’s no guarantee.
The Kremlin has been stressing for months that Russia has no interest whatsoever in invading de facto black hole Ukraine. And Russian troops will return to their bases after exercises are over. None of this has anything to do with “concessions” by Putin.
And then came the bombshell: French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire – the inspiration for one of the main characters in Michel Houellebecq’s cracking new book, Anéantir – said that the launch of Nord Stream 2 “is one of the main components of de-escalating tensions on the Russian-Ukrainian border.” Gallic flair formulated out loud what no German had the balls to say.
In Kiev, after his stint in Moscow, it looks like Macron properly told Zelensky which way the wind blows now. Zelensky hastily confirmed Ukraine is ready to implement the Minsk agreements; it never was, for seven long years. He also said he expects to hold a summit in the Normandy format – Kiev, the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, Germany and France – “in the near future”. A meeting of Normandy format political advisers will happen in Berlin on Thursday.
Way back in August 2020, I was already pointing to which way we were heading in the master chessboard. A few sharp minds in the Beltway, emailing their networks, did notice in my column how “the goal of Russian and Chinese policy is to recruit Germany into a triple alliance locking together the Eurasian land mass a la Mackinder into the greatest geopolitical alliance in history, switching world power in favor of these three great powers against Anglo-Saxon sea power.”
Now, a very high-level Deep State intel source, retired, comes down to the nitty gritty, pointing out how “the secret negotiations between Russia and the US center around missiles going into Eastern Europe, as the US frantically drives for completing its development of hypersonic missiles.”
The main point is that if the US places such hypersonic missiles in Romania and Poland, as planned, the time for them to reach Moscow would be 1/10 the time of a Tomahawk. It’s even worse for Russia if they are placed in the Baltics. The source notes, “the US plan is to neutralize the more advanced defensive missile systems that seal Russia’s airspace. This is why the US has offered to allow Russia to inspect these missile sites in the future, to prove that there are no hypersonic nuclear missiles. Yet that’s not a solution, as the Raytheon missile launchers can handle both offensive and defensive missiles, so it’s possible to sneak in the offensive missiles at night. Thus everything requires continuous observation.”
The bottom line is stark: “This is the real issue behind the present crisis. The only solution is no missile sites allowed in Eastern Europe.” That happens to be an essential part of Russia’s demands for security guarantees.
Sailing to Byzantium
Alastair Crooke has demonstrated how “the West slowly is discovering that that it has no pressure point versus Russia (its economy being relatively sanctions-proof), and its military is no match for that of Russia’s.”
In parallel, Michael Hudson has conclusively shown how “the threat to US dominance is that China, Russia and Mackinder’s Eurasian World Island heartland are offering better trade and investment opportunities than are available from the United States with its increasingly desperate demand for sacrifices from its NATO and other allies.”
Quite a few of us, independent analysts from both the Global North and South, have been stressing non-stop for years that the pop Gotterdammerung in progress hinges on the end of American geopolitical control over Eurasia. Occupied Germany and Japan enforcing the strategic submission of Eurasia from the west down to the east; the ever-expanding NATO; the ever de-multiplied Empire of Bases, all the lineaments of the 75-year-plus free lunch are collapsing.
The new groove is set to the tune of the New Silk Roads, or BRI; Russia’s unmatched hypersonic power – and now the non-negotiable demands for security guarantees; the advent of RCEP – the largest free trade deal on the planet uniting East Asia; the Empire all but expelled from Central Asia after the Afghan humiliation; and sooner rather than later its expulsion from the first island chain in the Western Pacific, complete with a starring role for the Chinese DF-21D “carrier killer” missiles.
The Ray McGovern-coined MICIMATT (military-industrial-congressional-intelligence-media-academia-think tank complex) was not capable to muster the collective IQ to even begin to understand the terms of the Russia-China joint statement issued on an already historic February 4, 2022. Some in Europe actually did – arguably located in the Elysée Palace.
This enlightened unpacking focuses on the interconnection of some key formulations, such as “relations between Russia and China superior to political and military alliances of the Cold War era” and “friendship which shows no limits”: the strategic partnership, for all its challenges ahead, is way more complex than a mere “treaty” or “agreement”. Without deeper understanding of Chinese and Russian civilizations, and their way of thinking, Westerners simply are not equipped to get it.
In the end, if we manage to escape so much Western doom and gloom, we might end up navigating a warped remix of Yeats’ Sailing to Byzantium. We may always dream of the best and the brightest in Europe finally sailing away from the iron grip of tawdry imperial Exceptionalistan:
“Once out of nature I shall never take / My bodily form from any natural thing, / But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make / Of hammered gold and gold enameling / To keep a drowsy Emperor awake; / Or set upon a golden bough to sing /To lords and ladies of Byzantium / Of what is past, or passing, or to come.”
Another great article by Pepe.
It is all dawning on France, Germany, Hungary et al, that they are all part of a suicide pact where the USA (NATO) is the cult leader who has lured them all in and occupied all their properties.
There are the faithful disciples (UK, Poland and Balts) who have been keeping everyone in lock-step (to quote Biden). There is Judas (Ukraine) who has/will betray/ed everyone for their repeating 30 pieces of silver.
For many years they have all been brain dead and in a trance – mesmerised by the cult leader. Some of their neighbours (Russia/China) have tried to warn them and shown an alternative path. Suddenly it has begun to dawn on them that they are the sacrificial lambs. Some are now trying to escape the cult.
It will be interesting to see what happens to Europe and which path its various countries will finally take – self preservation, peace and a brighter future (sovereignty) or death and destruction (occupation).
Very good comment… to a Pepe one I consider not up to his usual high standard… no deep analysis, rather superficial….
I am NOT a fan of Macron, but I have to commend him for his guts in this matter… l I do hope he and like minded win… and we end up with mature, sovereign states in Europe… enough is enough…
Do You Want War between Russia and NATO?
The US-UK-EU is trying to retain its world hegemonic status, by creating wars all over the globe.
Russia and China are talking about a Multilateral World order but are actually mowing toward a trilateral world order.
Thinking out of the box
What if the 5 nuclear powers China, Russia, France, Britain, and the US are in this game together?
Game plan:
Create fear of nuclear war between East and West. Putin and Xi vs Biden and Boris.
The 5th column Rothschild knight in shining amour saves Europe from its US and EU inflicted predicaments, and become the intended heir of the American Century, as Fuhrer of the 4th Reich.
That would mean instant Trilateral world Order, as intended by the Trilateral Commission.
Next step could be to create Bilateral World Order instituted by a Bilateral Commission.
And finally the One world Order, instituted by the Unilateral Commission
All created via Hegelian dialectics of war threats, without consulting 190 Nations, and the Global population.
When the world hegemons are threatening of war, what will happen if they get into war?
Such a war would destroy the Globe via nuclear MAD, and as such it would never happen.
When the reality of nuclear war vanishes, the fear of nuclear war vanishes, and people start acting by logic.
The solution for the 190 “vassal Nations” (2/3 of Global population) is to form smaller regional defense alliances around the globe, built without weapons of mass destruction.
The first such an hegemonic independent alliance could be a Nordic defense alliance.
Leading humanity out of hegemonic tyranny.
Where is humanity? Sleeping or captured by Orcs (individuals without conscience)… ?
What is the real purpose of a conflict? “the real value of a conflict, the true value, is in the debt it creates. You control the debt, you control everything.” Who wants to make us all, whether we be nations or individuals, slaves to debt?
“The world paid $10 TRILLION in interest last year.”
– Who received this free money?
– Why pay interest on the money created from the thin air?
– Why create money as Debt?
– Most of the money is created by private banks, Private Money.
– What happened to usury?
– Which industry has generated this kind of income?
– How many global challenges can be solved by $10 trillion per year? Repeat, $10 trillion per year…
All this looting is enabled by governments?
“The global interest bill would exceed $16 Trillion by 2026, equivalent to 15% of projected GDP.”

Hi Max. Thanks for bringing back the core issue.
I don’t see any other way but to dispossess the private bankers worldwide.
It sounds more utopian as ever but that is the one globalisation that I think has to happen.
Of course, the detail is how do we achieve that, with the least amount of damage? I think we first need collective clarity on the private money fraud.
So many people still don’t know that money is created and managed privately. So many people, if told so, come up with a “so what?”. It doesn’t quite percolate and get integrated. The realization of the repercussions and the understanding of our predicament seems more devastating than sticking to simplistic equations “Government/politics = Bad” or “Big fish = Examplar”.
Awaking is needed, but denial is also part of our survival kit. It’s a process…
Anyway, it seems that China might be the only country with sovereignty on its currency. I wonder what it would take for Russia to shift into that? I heard Iran is the biggest on e-currency, or something, whatever that means… Is Iran in control of its currency? Also, how can we possibly achieve such a shift without also banning globally tax heavens and Free-Trade? Anonymity of capital and conglomerates/ monopolies?
I repeat my spiel, like a message in a bottle, with a little hope to hear an pragmatic answer. Good luck with that.
Does that need to be worked out at a “sovereign United Nations” level?
It seems that it “might” get worse before it gets better” and that we need to let gravity and time play their part… the collapse and decomposition. So we (whoever still present) get to start a healthier base of our society…
In any case, let’s prepare for big changes, whatever that means.
Personally, it calls to be very attentive to what is happening in my proximate environment, my body, sensations and breathing, attentive also to all those little subtle (or not so subtle…) hints and signs to guide me. Pain seems to be the most effective signal to get dialed.
“Listening to the call of my Soul” sounds new-aggy but ultimately it is what I need to learn.
Funny how the Soul is beyond “what it takes”, the pain and all, to fulfill our destiny, our realization in both senses of the term.
I wish myself much faith, much daring and withholding too.
… And relax… breathing slow and deep whenever I remember.
Thanks for listening.
Be well.
Hi Eric, thanks for your response.
It is not about “private bankers” but PRIVATE MONEY and control of finance and thereby “value” & “values”. Money is the LCM (Least common multiplier) of humanity. All need money. It needs to serve humanity and not control it. The “Ring of Power,” the global financial network, is what enables Sauron to control humanity. It will be destroyed!
Individuals with conscience and creativity are working towards exposing this fraud through multiple organizations as well as individually. The opposition and Saruman’s forces are in a panic mode as they see the awakening and that people understand their fraud networks. A Reckoning and Reboot is coming, slowly but surely.
“It is not possible to found a lasting power upon injustice, perjury, and treachery. These may, perhaps, succeed at first, and limp along on hope for awhile with a flourishing appearance. But time betrays their weakness, and they eventually fall into ruin of their own designs.”
– Demosthenes
The END comes in phases:
– Expose: Unseen power is being Unmasked!
– Neutralize: Reduce its impact and power. We’re in this phase.
– Dismantle: The pillars of power fall.
We’re living through an epoch in the history of humanity.
The final objective for fair currency might be a non-fiat currency that cannot be bastardized and that is out of the hands of any government. Fiat money might be treated as dangerous as nuclear weapons. Coalitions might topple governments attempting to issue money – as Endless Fiat equals Endless Wars. Central Bank Digital Currencies might make a ten year run in some countries. These would be Control Grid Lockdown nightmares. Social credit score, digital IDs,…Orwellian. These would eventually result in bloody revolutions and wiser men creating a digital currency after 25 years of digital currency experiments. I recon the best currency would be based on electricity – the KWH. It is a scientific unit of measure. A universal good and store of work/power. A digital currency pegged to KWH with no treasury is possible. Crypto currency $UST is a Terra-Luna project that pegs to the US$ through arbitration. It is the 9th largest crypto project and is the proof of concept for eliminating government seignorage. Arbitration creates seignorage and utility creates value and KWH is the peg guaranteed w every electric company worldwide. This takes a while to soak up. But let the seed be planted for a future – CBDCs creating Orwellian nightmares, multiple currencies pegged to KWH, and govts toppled if they try to seignorage Digital Currencies.
My vision is more jim jones and the kool-aid drinkers.
“It is all dawning on France, Germany, Hungary et al, that they are all part of a suicide pact where the USA (NATO) is the cult leader who has lured them all in and occupied all their properties.”
Why has it taken so long?
This has long been obvious to anyone with a passing familiarity with current events.

Love it – Chapeau Pepe
Ray McGovern is usually an interesting read.
If you can’t find him, adding the word ‘consortium’ to the search might help.
Like with anyone, I don’t always agree with him. But, then, I don’t always agree with myself either.
More technological wizardry than Harry Potter and less common sense wisdom than MICI Mouse….

That’s the crux to the matter, the pivotal point that keeps Europe subjected to a decaying, corrupt, fascist, old bastard, Uncle Shmuel (Saker). Eurostan elites know it, and some hope to jump into the Putin bandwagon to rock the capsizing boat. Otherwise, the future will leave Eurostan behind, as the new sun is rising high in the east. If Eurostan is unable to catch up, the US will take them down the path of war, that’s where the money is…for the MICIMATT, and McGovern knows them very well.

America’s big mistake was not understanding that post world war II was a transitory state and would never last. And yet, America bet its life on being able to make it last. If someone does an update to Tuchman’s “March of Folly”, America will have two chapters. And that is a bit of achievement in a little more than 200 years. Although, not the kind you want to achieve. Kinda like totaling two cars against the same tree.
In engineering, there is a difference between a transitory and steady state. I’m not sure that world power is ever exactly ‘steady’, but the historical norm is that power is usually in flux between multiple states. Even if you count Alexander and Rome as exceptions, then it sure don’t happen very often. And as Gandhi observed, it never lasts.
One would think that anyone with brains would be planning on how to navigate to a good place in the next steady state. Then there is America, which tried to navigate to maintain what had been an almost unique occasion in history. That’s gotta be worse odds than a 100:1 shot at the track, but America bet not only the house but its life. Ricky Bobby and Win-it-or-Bin-It in the Talledega Night!
But then again, America hates history. Even Hollywood has a hard time selling it without including lots of sex.
USA has been checkmated…
On the surface, it appears France’s and USA’s interests diverge to some extant but underneath who really knows what’s going on. How much of this is theatre? How much is a stalling tactic on behalf of USA?
Zelensky now saying that he is willing to abide by the Minsk agreements means nothing.
It may not be true that USA and Russia are having secret negotiations. And even if it is. it will come to nothing.
Another great article by Pepe. The whole American attempt to get into a First Strike against Russia assuming the Russians would do nothing has been rude, arrogant, and stupid. Team Russia for International peace and harmony.
‘Double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble’.
Starring Macron as Macbeth’s jockstrap and America, UK and Poland as the 3 old hag pot/s**t stirrers,
The Long View Time Frame is two years. The Russian military advantage is secure for two years.
The Short View Time Frame is eight months. The US elections and Biden’s hopes are fused to a victorious outcome. (Either with massive Sanctions and stopping the NS-2, suckering Russia into a war or getting a diplomatic victory of great magnitude.)
Putin seeks security (no missiles in East Europe, no NATO ever for Ukraine, NATO back to 1997 lines).
His strategy is Pressure. His mode is Patience.
Pressure is on EU nations. They see the US coming for their market, coming for their industry, coming to push them to war if US needs war, and they see the future in Eurasia which they won’t get to join.
Pressure is on NATO. Some EU nations don’t need NATO if a new security arrangement is made with Russia.
Pressure is on US. Time is running out on the political power of the Biden-Dems.
No one has a clue to what Putin will do and how the Russians will act when they act.
Because this game of strategy is a game Putin has structured, the US will have to make a move, expose themselves, surrender pawns, abandon assets, bargain and barter.
Two years? eight months?
Come on, where the heck that microchronorulers come from?
It was announced as breakthroughs in march 2018.
Why be so stupid as to wait until Dec 2021 to put not-ultimatum pressure on the exceptionalists IF a foreseeable time frame was so thin?
The Russian hypersonic missiles, four of them, are just recently operational from subs, surface ships, jet fighters, land launchers and bombers. Recent months.
The S-500 and S-550 missile defense systems just came on in the last month or so.
So, 2018 was not the time.
Thus, if the US gets a working missile with hypersonic characteristics, they will have to test them off bombers, subs, jet fighters and land launchers also.
As for defenses, the US will need 5+ years to try to have an effective system.
Russia has to defend a far greater land surface, so they require more units and more integration with EW, radars, and networked communications for the computers. That required more time.
And training time for the various military districts.
So, you see, Augusto, it ain’t as simple as your mind thinks.
Larchmonter445
You made some interesting points in your two comments. I propose that The Saker render his opinion on what you wrote.
“Come on, where the heck that microchronorulers come from?”
In my village, we call It “educated guess”. It came with experience.
Thank you Pepe for this, as usual, outstanding views and analysis of the current situation in international relations and I must say that photo tells a truer than true picture of the gap (a chasm in fact) between Russia and whatever the West has to offer in dialogue or grandstanding… but all the same, one has to at least respect the fact Macron, although perhaps with ulterior motives for his re-election, had the courage/foresight to engage with I’m sure good intentions, but unfortunately too little/too late, to reflect upon the reality of a serious crisis which could obliterate a good relationship for decades to come, if not a possible flashpoint of military adventurism that could devastate Europe.
Macron has zero courage. Just by looking at him you can tell he is weak and effeminate. He has zero foresight. He is completely delusional. He has zero good intentions. He is a sociopathic criminal. Do you really believe he decided, himself, to meet with Putin. He is merely an errand boy for the Global Bankster Cult.
Incidentally, his “wife” is older than his mother……………I’m just saying
@ Anton
Good profiling.
His wife was his teacher in high school, 24 years his senior. The boy needed a mother for life. You can securely say she’s been sharing France’s presidency since lil’ boy Macron never grew up. To top it off, she’s extremely unattractive, not to say ugly. Macron’s role in this whole guacamole was well defined by Pepe, one of his goals is to piggyback the Russia-Ukraine crisis, remain relevant during this pre-election period, get some votes playing statesman vis-a-vis Putin.
Putin very obviously kept him at a distance, that table was longer than a 10 ft pole. Errand boy title fits him well, he’s a good manager for the Rotschilds and the like. And you’re right, he’s a dangerous snake, behind his boyish looks. Just another pezzonovante.
Lone Wolf
Make that 25 feet… At least 😁
Lone Wolf, just to let you know/remind everyone that Viktor Orban also sat in Macron’s place at that table a week or so ago. I know a lot of coverage and comments are about the “ridiculousness of the table, I wonder if it has to do with the “distancing” relating to the transmissible virus. I don’t think that this distance was created particularly for Macron.
Ah, Wolf. It is unbecoming to speak of a man’s wife like that, even if she looks like a reanimated troll.
Absolutely Anton.
This feeble and dangerous creature is a Goldman ‘Sucks’ asset.
Need I say anymore.
Cheers
Col
@Anton,
You hit the mark.
Everything the satanists touch goes to dust. They like to reverse and invert and mock God with opposites, especially the most sacred, such as gender identity, which they lustily profane.
Maybe one of Russia’s coming moves may be to open an even bigger Pandora’s Box for the Satanists than 911 or JFK. The transgender fixation of western elites is centuries long and foretold in Scripture of the disastrous End Times. It is really part of their Luciferian credo of “the Sacred or Divine Androgyne.” If only the plebs knew how deep the evil goes, lamp-posts would quickly run outta space (a lamp-post-gap in certain locales?). Somewhere one of my teachers Mr E is ripping a tune on his trusty guitar, crooning with gusto.. but I can no longer find him on Bitchute, someone pl throw a link if you know his currents whereabouts. He has taught me much and I miss him.

And ditto for the Canadian Castro. ‘The Beard does not [a] Man make.’ And Greta Garbo, way back, admitted to leaving the seat up after using the latrine.. Amazing what surgery and the discovery of synthetic estrogen and testosterone hormones starting in the 1930s did to reengineer the human shape and even skin luster.. unless you are a jaded clinician doomed to see the underlying skeleton and proportions which cannot be unseen!

“oh, that loooooong table in the Kremlin”
In the calm halls of the world capitol of international diplomacy, HE Putin met Le Petit Roi (© Pepe) across the stunning visual of a special socially-distanced table.
Some RT commentators and I wonder: what is the purpose of that distance?
(1) they are the kind of tables that have a long barrel running underneath with a trigger at one end
(2) keep the duplicitous European enemies ‘at arm’s length’
(3) Do they communicate using megaphones or is semaphore back in fashion?
(4) avoid being sprayed by the French Omega strain.
(5) prevent Putin from slapping Macron & instantly gaining the loyalty of 98% of the people of France..
(6) Enough personal space for everyone.
(7) A safe corner to Time Out Le Petit Roi
(8) That’s probably the only thing that will be remembered from this meeting.
(9) Can you pass the Grey Poupon?
(10) They say all options are on the table, all I see is some nice flowers.
@ A.H.H.
“… (10) They say all options are on the table, all I see is some nice flowers.”
Take a second look, all options are on one side of the table.

To be fair Putin recently met with Victor Orban at the same table

Well, what would you expect from a (may be) former Rothschild banker? I wouldn’t be suprised if it turns out that Macron is just a ventriloquist puppet for the Rothschilds.
It’s funny that meeting with Putin is now considered to help him in the election. Marine LePen met Putin as a candidate in the last election and it was considered bad optics.
Regardless, the guy has a snowballs chance in hell of being reelected no matter what he does. People hate his guts almost as much as they hated Hollande. Not that he had much of a chance before, but declaring that he wants to “piss off the unvaccinated” and saying he does not consider them French citizens sealed this little weasels fate.
I framed my analysis of the Russia/China Joint Declaration differently than others because of its overall goal as announced by its one sentence/paragraph length manifesto, which is its second full paragraph. The title gives the framing away, “Back to the Future: China & Russia Vow to Fulfill WW2’s Victory Goals & Reinvigorate the Architecture to Achieve Them”. Yet, I also link Russia’s security proposals to the content since the UN Charter envisions and includes the concept of indivisible security, which is THE question at issue between Russia and the Outlaw US Empire. Macron said nothing about France’s stance on this all important question which is what Lavrov’s Letter to all OSCE nations is all about. It’s really about freedom and slavery–uphold the treaties and you proclaim your nation’s freedom; renege your nation’s commitment, and you declare your fealty and unfree status as a slave of the Master, the Outlaw US Empire. Once Russia learns which nations are free and which are slaves, then it will act. Lavrov sent his letters on February first. I’ll wager we see all sorts of foot dragging amounting to non-response responses. Will Russia then send out yet more letters? The Olympics don’t end until the 20th, so I’ll put my money on more letters, the deadline being the 28th.
“as the US frantically drives for completing its development of hypersonic missiles.”
uh, oh, if the security of the USA depends on defense contractors completing work on time, then somebodies in big trouble. The Americans are going to be dodging catapulted cows, probably while singing the song of Brave Sir Robin’s minstrels.
From track record, if they say its due in 2023, it will be officially tested and ready in 2027, but they won’t get it really working properly until about 2035.
True, I don’t know why they just don’t order them from Russia.
Taxpayer, you’ve a timespan of 13 years. Will the US exist in its current state then or should Russia & China move in to break it up into, say, a dozen States?
At the very least we should be talking War Crimes.
Putin should not miss a beat here and send out a LIST, the 1st 200 for Trial. No poxy Pipeline or the withdrawal of WMD’s from Romania, Poland & Baltics will pacify me. Sanctions, heavy duty Reparations and such like Germany received/paid, with a Eastern flavoured legal Tribunal to oversee matters.
I’m confident plenty Americans would love to see 20 or so Scumbags from each of the last 5 Administrations wearing orange jumpsuits alongside Bankers & Boards of Directors of MIC.
I’ll discuss my own compensation at a later date. Cheers for now while I do the calculations.
In Kiev, after his stint in Moscow, it looks like Macron properly told Zelensky which way the wind blows now. Zelensky hastily confirmed Ukraine is ready to implement the Minsk agreements; … A meeting of Normandy format political advisers will happen in Berlin on Thursday.
Well that was quick, warp speed in fact.
Some western MSM have come out with the narrative that Monsieur Macron didn’t consult with his allies (Nato, EU) before going to Moscow and therefore he could not speak for them. But the truth is he had consulted with the US, Germany and Italy; not all thirty members for sure, but all those countries that really matter were on board. Even the US supported his ‘shuttle diplomacy,’ which leads to the possibility of his efforts being a second track for the US in the ongoing negotiations with RF and a way for it to make concessions without appearing to do so.
On another point, the UK’s Liz Truss has also made the pilgrimage to Moscow — no doubt after making doubly sure that Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia are in fact not located in the Black Sea –; she is after all due to meet Sergey Lavrov who’s also a member of the board of trustees of the Russian Geographical Society. It’s also reported that she’ll visit Moscow State University ‘where she will attend “physics, and math classes, which facilitate the formation of a new generation of leaders in science,” ‘ according to Tass. Hmm, I would have thought a meeting with the faculty of History would have served her better after the sharp rebuke she got from Maria Zakharova about Mongols and Tatars :)
LOL
Macron, Liz Truss, who next, Krusty The Clown and Sideshow Bob?
Possibly strong-arming Scholz failed and sending Booboo to get as many face-saving concessions is Plan D.
I don’t want to see Ukraine become a total basket case of a failed State and neither would Russia but I’ll be delighted to see Poland and the Baltics sink in a sea of p*ss.
Just finished watching the Lavrov-Truss press conference on RT youtube.
Poor Sergey Lavrov must be thinking, ‘I just don’t get these people. They ask for a meeting, come to Russia, enjoy the hospitality and then immediately proceed to berate their hosts. Which hole have they just crawled out of?’
Liz Truss was painful to watch. Talk about severe cognitive dissonance. But I suppose par for the course for a regime that has a clown as its head — Johnson is either too thick or too drunk or both to get the hint when VVP cold-shouldered him over the missed phone call, preferring to talk to Macron instead.
I think Russia is finished with the UK after that pathetic performance by Mistrust erm…I mean Ms Truss.
@Stand Easy
The Normandy Format Group meeting was scheduled last month for the 10th.
What Zelensky wants is the Normandy Format with all Presidents/Chancellor attemdomg. But Putin refuses. He wants progress on Minsk 2 before he meets with Zelensky.
He has called out the comedian as a liar who deceived the voters by pledging peace but continuing the war.
Thus Putin’s goading remark in the presser with Macron: “The President of Ukraine has said that he does not like any of the clauses of the Minsk agreements. Like it, or not – be patient, my beauty. They must be fulfilled.”
Dmitry Kozak will represent Russia at the meeting of the lower level representatives.
Well, you’re right Larchmonter. There was an agreement to have another N4 meeting after Paris. What prompted my remark is the speed with which the Berlin meeting was confirmed, keeping in mind the pause and spluttering frequency of N4 in the past 5 years; and the Russian MFA’s statement (delivered by Maria Zakharova on 9 Feb) that the US wants Minsk to be revised.
What Zelensky wants is the Normandy Format with all Presidents/Chancellor attemdomg
Yes, Zelensky — with US prodding — is trying to make RF a party to the conflict: that’s why he wants VVP to be present in any discussion on matters pertaining to the Donbass. Of course, as you say, it is not going to happen, not with Minsk or N4 or with any other meeting. RF is sticking to Minsk: it is a Ukrainian internal problem and he needs to deal with LDNR to solve it.
Mark Rutte is waiting behind the curtains.
Compare Putin with Biden. Putin politely entertained a politician that had nothing to offer. It allowed flattery to be bestowed upon France as having “party” to European security. It was very diplomatic.
Biden, being uncouth and boorish, met with his German counterpart and gave no diplomacy. Poor Germans can’t even hide the fact the US will make a sovereign decision for them. US will decide NS2. What a good “ally”. Truly a humiliation for Scholz and Germans. A total disgrace for Americans.
I definitely agree, the fight is over EU. US will devour it
The European situation is a lot like the Ukrainian one writ large. NATO will defend U.S. interests to the last European.
In a more logical world Germany would already be in a much more lucrative trading relationship with Russia than it with the U.S. currently.
The U.S. doesn’t really have the cycles of history like Europe does. Europeans might recognize the Emperor Maximinus Thrax. The crisis of the 3rd century (and its causes) might still be taught in history classes over there. The outrageous military expenditures, hyperinflation, collapse of trade routes, crazy taxation, war, unchecked immigration, and civil war might still ring a bell.

If I were European, I would think carefully but hitching myself to that sort of dumpster fire.
Worth to read, an exception to the rule of blaming Russia for the current clusterfuck, with the usual concessions to the Beltway crowd, “Putin is not a democrat” blah, blah, blah…Still, a lonely voice among the Russian hatemongers, the usual cacophony that makes Washington, DC

Rajan Menon, War with Russia?
How Did We Get Here?
The Strategic Blunder of the 1990s That Set the Stage for Today’s Ukrainian Crisis
BY RAJAN MENON
“…You Reap What You Sow
Russian President Vladimir Putin is now pushing back, hard. Having transformed the Russian army into a formidable force, he has the muscle Yeltsin lacked. But the consensus inside the Washington Beltway remains that his complaints about NATO’s expansion are nothing but a ruse meant to hide his real concern: a democratic Ukraine. It’s an interpretation that conveniently absolves the U.S. of any responsibility for ongoing events.
Today, in Washington, it doesn’t matter that Moscow’s objections long preceded Putin’s election as president in 2000 or that, once upon a time, it wasn’t just Russian leaders who didn’t like the idea. In the 1990s, several prominent Americans opposed it and they were anything but leftists. Among them were members of the establishment with impeccable Cold War credentials: George Kennan, the father of the containment doctrine; Paul Nitze, a hawk who served in the Reagan administration; the Harvard historian of Russia Richard Pipes, another hardliner; Senator Sam Nunn, one of the most influential voices on national security in Congress; Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a one-time U.S. ambassador to the United Nations; and Robert McNamara, Lyndon Johnson’s Secretary of Defense. Their warnings were all remarkably similar: NATO’s expansion would poison relations with Russia, while helping to foster within it authoritarian and nationalist forces.
The Clinton administration was fully aware of Russia’s opposition. In October 1993, for example, James Collins, the chargé d’affaires at the U.S. embassy in Russia, sent a cable to Secretary of State Warren Christopher, just as he was about to travel to Moscow to meet Yeltsin, warning him that NATO’s enlargement was “neuralgic to Russians” because, in their eyes, it would divide Europe and shut them out. He warned that the alliance’s extension into Central and Eastern Europe would be “universally interpreted in Moscow as directed at Russia and Russia alone” and so regarded as “neo-containment.”…”
Not a fan of Macron but at least he is aware of his predecessors and the importance of France within the EU, regardless what many think of the French. It was Charles de Gaulle who alone stood up to the US hegemony in 1960s Europe, expelling US troops out of France and pulling out of NATO, later when he sent the French Navy to ‘collect’ gold from US treasury and managed to ship some 9000 tons back to France it triggered the first signs of Anglo-Saxon’s anger towards him, was almost assassinated by CIA organized OAS military people who missed their tall target, which in return made De Gaulle fuming about the poor marksmanship of those French ‘soldiers’ unable to shoot straight and in the process managed to escape with his life, in fact a dozen attacks against him all failed, one of the luckiest man the world has ever seen… Then came Francois Mitterrand, a Socialist but also a pragmatic leader with the concerns of what a united Europe should bring forth, making Germany & France almost a singular entity, but impossible since Germany was, and still is, under occupation by virtue of the importance of NATO… The other French President showing some chutzpah was Jacques Chirac all the others (Pompidou, Giscard, Sarkozy, Hollande) were not of the same vitality & even lacked ‘Frenchness’ (if that could be a way to describe ‘Gallic fervor’) most lacking vision and often showed poor leadership… Chirac was the only Leader in Europe to openly oppose the War in Iraq, going as far as debunking claims of imminent chemical attacks with courage and under great pressure from the ‘usual suspects’, little Tony Blair & baby Bush did not appreciate being made to be seen for what they were, liars and cowards of the worst kind. Chirac was not the only one to pay for this ‘Lèse-majesté’, others like Dom de Villepin, even perhaps Dom Strauss Khan & certainly some failed contracts (the Mistrals fiasco and AUKUS come to mind) and probably many more will be surfacing out of the blue in the future…
Macron has an opportunity to make himself a name in the annals of France, and to show the rest of the World what France was always about, a visionary country with a great History and a wonderful Culture that many still admire. Whoever becomes the President of France should pull out of NATO, repudiate any Anglo-Zionist views about the real future of Europe, bring back independent diplomacy between Nations, create a strong bridge of Friendship between ‘France et la Sainte Russie’ which is the only way forward and the hope of humanity. Amen
I believe Gerhard Schroeder, Chancellor of Germany in 2003, also refused to support the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
Yes and ofcourse he wasn’t reelected
Instead the queen of treason Merkill
Or better known as IM Erika took over for 16 years destroying my home country
Germany is done forever now
No way it can recover from these 16 years
Dead!
Yes, I stand corrected, thanks…
not sure about that.
Another masterpiece: extremely well thought out and beautifully written.
Enjoy the wit, love the smile.
Regards always, Pepe Escobar.
MAD is still alive and kicking even if US put hypersonics in Ukraine.
Russia has 12 time zones and can hide many mobile launch sites in the east and subs around its coast line and many rivers which make them 100% safe and undetectable.
Maybe Russia’s option if it has to face the worst of US provocations is to not overtly respond and continue building trade with Belt and road.
In the long term money talks the Europeans will see sense and de escalate
It is also interesting to see the daily videos from Alexander Mercouris analysing the nuances of the “Emmanuel-Vladimir” discussions and the situation of the EU compared with the overbearing US domination of its “allies”.
Riddle me this Batman…
How come nobody ever, and I mean ever, mentions the amount of negative influence the Jews have on US policy making.
The Jews have been exiled out of close to 200 different countries throughout history. (correct me if I’m mistaken)
Why is that?
Are people afraid to point the finger at the Jews, because of the “Hollowcaust”, which was also a big sham.
I realize the victors of war write the history.
Somebody please explain this…
There is an article at the Unz Review that asks exactly this question, or, rather, asks why no one else is asking the obvious question regarding Zionist/Jewish interest in stirring up trouble in the Ukraine.
some anti-authentic photos from the historic meeting :-D

Macron is petulant, haughty and very, very smug. Now the UK’s top diplomat has made a huge mistake during the negotiations, allegedly proclaiming that London would never recognize the sovereignty of two regions universally considered part of Russia. Truss is stupid. This is exactly why you don’t appoint stupid people to top jobs where they have to face people with twice their IQ and experience. That’s the problem with the West, all major politicians are just empty mouthpieces who know nothing but to seek votes and campaign contributions. The UK nominates clowns to be leaders… starting with Boris and now the foreign minister, don’t expect to be heard. United clowns. The US and NATO will never recognize that they are the real terrorists on this planet. The sick psychopaths of the west thanks to the CIA and the Bush cabal. Now it will be months of tension, and maybe even 2 years, because the Empire will use all weapons, soft power, lies, traitorous columns, bluffs, and will even use religious faith to try to turn the people against the Russian government. All the guns and NGOs, churches, anyway. American “Christian” NGOs and churches are subtly in Russia and in fact many cannot be removed because they masquerade as Christian and use the veneer of Christianity to cover up and subtly. Perhaps this is the biggest trigger of the 6th column in Russia. I have to agree that these religions create a bubble, as do soccer stadiums and churches in Latin America. They create a reality that does not exist. It is really the greatest weapon of soft power and paves the way for the implementation of PSYOPs. Putin is a winner and a sage, and as a political personality, he is a phenomenon that appears every 500 years in humanity. He has great skills. Putin is the 8th Dan of the IJF, and after the black belt he can wear the rare coral belt (judo epitomizes the samurai code of ethics, and fundamentals for physical and mental training of Taoism). He’s a practicing Christian, and he’s a very learned lawyer, he’s read a lot. Putin is also a military lieutenant colonel of the Russian nation, also with great knowledge in the military field. He is the best political leader today. In the entire history of mankind, how many political leaders, statesmen had this background and skills? Yes, few were as prepared as he was.
Soft power was used in some color revolutions, in Ukraine, in Belarus, and this more elaborate method is already being developed in Russia, subtly. The empire does not sleep. The empire says it is bringing “democracy” and “Christianity” to Eastern Europe. This particular and peculiar phenomenon deserves to be researched. The US is likely to melt before the end of Biden’s term. Inflation is rising in the US. Europe will not want to go to war with Russia. Ukraine will be blocked from NATO by at least 2 NATO members. Ukraine is a rubbish bin already raped by the US. The gold is gone. As soon as they do what they want, Ukraine will be evicted. NATO cannot fight Russia, they are at a disadvantage. Waiting for the CIA/NSA false flag! Putin said missile attacks will be against the country of aggression! Below we can see the Ukrainians imitating American evangelical Christians, linked to the churches of America, they translate the lyrics of American churches, with their cult that is actually a bubble, a bread and circuses, not letting the people make serious reflections about the real ones. problems they live. We have something very serious and relevant here. A playful, false atmosphere is created, with modern liturgy, with rock music, “New Age” music like Yanni and Kitaro, with emotional and sentimental music, with people crying and with people jumping and clapping, with “men and shepherdesses women” presenting false freedom and false principles of democracy. Exactly what happened in Latin America, and the Latin American left ignored it. The money for these churches and projects comes from churches in America. American preachers, gurus and speakers are periodically sent to these churches. Yes, music is one of the greatest weapons. They make everyone sing and forget about problems. Alienation. The empire is a master in visual semiotics and sound semiotics. People are being hooked. It’s very seductive. The empire is taking firm steps with this soft power wrapped in false goodness and false blessing, falsely promising a new Age and epoch: https://youtu.be/aGQLFHoRuHM?list=RDaGQLFHoRuHM
The empire is confused and lost with Macron and all his vassals. The king is naked, and the mask of empire is falling. What Truss is doing now is shameful. She ditched her anti-Brexit stance to fit in—and was given a ministerial position because she’s a dumb woman who doesn’t threaten The Johnson and is so horrible at everything she does—that she actually makes him look smart. Meritocracy is leaving the entire West!
To have a moment of levity in the midst of this serious discussion:
“A diplomat who says ‘yes’ means ‘maybe’, a diplomat who says ‘maybe’ means ‘no’, and a diplomat who says ‘no’ is no diplomat.”
There is a folk take on this maxim:
If a lady says “no”, she means “maybe”, if she says maybe she means “no” If she says “yes”, she is no lady.
Soon the century of former citizen spies will be upon us. With the high inflation in the west and perhaps else where there is going to be mass immigration perhaps, to former countries of western citizens. These citizens will flee the west for a much cheaper and affordable life with that will come western culture, western loyalty, western interests. Western lifestyles..and the indigenous will gradually morph into a westerner in the heart of Africa..with that come’s a lot of pawns, a lot of spies, a lot of gangs all fighting over the new found country. No need for a foreign military just western ideologically leaning people spreading the ideology to consume the country from within ultimately turning the country western without a single bullet fired. Laws will be formed, in favourism of western values….tolerance to any form of degeneracy. Want to be known as a unicorn in the heart of Africa? it’s possible with enough people who share this ideology get them in high places in new found country.
Macron is not his own man.
He is a messenger boy for the European-American oligarchy.
So the question becomes, what was *real* reason why this messenger boy was dispatched to Russia?
Is there a more sinister geopolitical game afoot?
On NPR this morning a “former defense official,” or maybe a “retired general,” or perhaps he was from national security thinktankistan… lied bold-as-brass and unchallenged that Russia was the party refusing to implement the Minsk agreements.
Every day another item in the bucket list of “lies, damn lies” is vomited at western audiences.
Russia needs to realize that even of the EU and NATO back off on the current conflict, the long term plan is to take over Russia directly or indirectly.
So this must be dealt with once and for all to prevent this ongoing problem decade after decade, century after century.
The root cause of the problem is the elite EU pigs (currently oppressing their own people and others around the globe via this pandemic) who want to steal Russia’s resources. THEY are the problem of mankind.
Hopefully US military forces will remove their puppets in US soon and same in UK and EU.
