“Ebola is a Big Lie” — “Nana Kwame” from Ghana speaks out – and a new False Flag of horror dimensions in the making
by Peter Koenig
“Ebola is a big lie” – according to a man called “Nana Kwame” – most likely a pseudonym – living in Ghana, Ebola was brought to West Africa, to 4 countries for 4 specific reasons by – no one less than The Red Cross. This article is rocketing the internet for the last couple of days, for example in “Spirit Science and Metaphysics” http://www.spiritscienceandmetaphysics.com/ebo-lie-man-living-in-ghana-confirms-ebola-is-a-hoax/ – and was translated into Spanish and published by the Peruvian newspaper LaPrimera, a paper that regularly seeks to dissect the truth from the flood of lies emitted by the Peruvian MSM.
The very credible story was already at least partially corroborated by other web articles including the one by Timothy Alexandre Guzman, GR http://www.globalresearch.ca/a-liberian-scientist-claims-the-u-s-is-responsible-for-the-ebola-outbreak-in-west-africa/5408459 – recounting the story by Dr. Cyril Broderick, a Liberian University Professor. According to Dr. Broderick, the US Department of Defense (DoD) has contracted a Canadian pharmaceutical company, Tekmira, to conduct Ebola research on humans in Guinea and Sierra Leone, just shortly before the outbreak in Guinea and Sierra Leone. The West Africa epidemic was declared in March 2014. In addition, Broderick states “It is most disturbing that the U. S. Government has been operating a viral hemorrhagic fever bioterrorism research laboratory in Sierra Leone”. He asks the obvious – “Are there others?”
Just by coincidence, a few days ago, Canada announced that it will deliver to the World Health Organization (WHO) 800 units of Ebola vaccines. http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/10/18/us-health-ebola-canada-idUSKCN0I70H820141018 . WHO will consult with the countries most affected on how to use the vaccine. Reuters says human trials will be carried out by Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in the United States.
Why Ebola vaccines now, donated by Canada, when the Ebola virus is ‘owned’ by the US through CDC, since November 2007, Accession No. 200706291, Patent No. CA 2741523 A1, publication date April 2010 http://www.google.com/patents/CA2741523A1?cl=en ?
Ebola was first identified in what is today South Sudan in 1976 and later the same year in a small village in northern Democratic Republic of Congo (then Zaire). The outbreak disappeared after 26 days, for reasons not quite clear.
Now again Ebola – why? In West Africa, thousands of kilometers away from the first outbreak? – The answers may be contained in Mr. “Nana Kwame’s” report.
Mr. Kwame states “People in the Western World need to know what’s happening here in West Africa. They are lying! “Ebola” as a virus does NOT Exist and is NOT “spread”. The Red Cross has brought a disease to 4 specific countries for 4 specific reasons and it is only contracted by those who receive treatments and injections from the Red Cross. That is why Liberians and Nigerians have begun kicking the Red Cross out of their countries and reporting in the news the truth.”
He goes on listing four key He goes on listing four reasons for the so called ‘outbreak’ – better called ‘controlled outbreak’. He says, most people may jump to the conclusion of ‘depopulation’ which the West is always keen on when it comes to Africa.
Remember, Africa holds still about 60% of the world’s natural resources, coveted by the west to maintain their predatory greed economy. With fewer African’s, they – the resources – may be easier accessible – and with a reduced world population, a small western elite may live longer enjoying these (unrenewable) resources before they are exhausted. – I have heard people say – Wars are horrible. The only good thing about them is that they reduce the world population.
The real reasons, Mr. Kwame argues, are No. one – that the west, especially the United States of America, can justify getting troops on the ground in Nigeria, Liberia and Sierra Leone. This has already happened. A few weeks ago Obama sent 3,000 troops to Liberia, none of them doctors or health specialist, none of them experts in prevention of pandemics. Cynics asked – does he believe the virus can be shot?
The second reason, according to Mr. Kwame, is the diamonds of Sierra Leone, the world’s largest – and most unhuman – diamond producer. Mine workers have been on strike for the four months, due to horrible, slave-like work conditions. Military ‘assistance’ will help. The strikers may all be killed and replaced by others, but the profitable flow of diamonds into the western greed markets will continue to flow. Reminds of the docu-drama movie “Blood Diamonds”.
The third reason, Mr. Kwame argues, is troops on the ground may force-feed Ebola ‘vaccinations’ (poison – or rather the disease itself) on wary, unwilling citizens. Troops will force these vaccinations upon the people to ensure the visible appearance of an Ebola pandemic. In addition to this they will protect the Red Cross from the Liberians and Nigerians who have been rightfully ejecting them from their countries.
The fourth reason, Mr. Kwame describes is the scare factor. We all see the Ebola psychosis of the western MSM, because of about 4,000 deaths – depending who counts – in West Africa. Mind you, this is an important figure, especially if the virus has been planted, but it is a derisory number, when compared to the millions dying every year from paludism (malaria), affecting also the Northern Hemisphere, and no vaccine is in sight. The people who die from malaria are in any case too poor to pay for a vaccine – small business perspective for pharma greed.
Let’s not forget, there are other ‘benefits’. Neoliberal everything-goes capitalism, seldom settles for just one greed element. The Win-Win Situation, invented by the Washington Consensus and spread by the World Bank, IMF and the likes has become the slogan of success.
What most westerners do not realize is that neoliberalism is infinitely deadlier than Ebola, Aids and all epidemics of the last century combined. Wars and conflicts inspired, provoked and instigated by our neoliberal greed economy and led by Washington’s war machine and NATO, have killed since 2001 alone an estimated 12 to 15 million people around the globe.
Imagine the bonanza for the pharma industry when the population will be force-vaccinated as was almost the case with H1N1 – when governments bought hundreds of millions of vaccines, before the WHO scandal flew open. Hundreds of millions of vaccine units for force-vaccination if necessary, on tax-payers backs. A strategy that didn’t work that time, despite the media hype.
The Ebola hype has all the colors of another Washington-made false flag operation.
Ebola is man-made, ‘controllable’ and spreadable – if hyped up. A scared and ignorant population including in our western cities can easily be manipulated into accepting a vaccine, no matter how effective it is in stopping the disease, or alternatively, how effective it is in spreading it. The idea is subduing, then clamping-down on the population, putting people into quarantines (prisons), to make sure no upheavals occur. Western elite, led by Washington and duly followed by its European puppets and vassals throughout the world – may then quietly go about their business in the final stage to take over the world – the One World Order – Full Spectrum Dominance, the fulfillment of the PNAC – Plan for a New American Century – which is being implemented as these lines are written, but hardly anybody notices.
People beware! We are about at the same point as with H1N1 – media hype to the point of psychosis, people’s short-lived memories, panicking and a total clamp-down is easy – no large military expenditures, since the few protestors can easily be subdued. – And I don’t dare thinking what else can be done with them.
Thanks god for Russia and China. They may not be able to prevent the western Ebola scare, but they are sure our last hope to prevent a Full Spectrum Dominance by the Washington gang and its criminal followers.

Please Saker, your great blog doesn’t deserve this kind of articles…
There are videos on youtube which show people in Africa paid to pretend they have ebola. The fake-ness is easily seen:

To all who say that the sake will destroy his credibility by posting certain articles. Please people worry about you reputations and let the Saker worry about his reputation.
Hello M.Saker you have lot of courage to post about that subject. Thank you
It is true that the VS has more or less secret labs on germ diseases located in Africa. It is probable that this outbreak is caused by an accident. And it is also possible that they now try to cover up by blowing it up.
Hello, Erika:
this is something else you could read:

More experimentation by big gov.
These articles are always good for sussing out paid professional trolls and the kind of people who refuse to see or confront evil because it disturbs their all important sense of well being.
Not one of the named posters has surprised me with their ‘reasonable’ arguments as to why you should make like an ostrich and bury your head.
The fact so many people have been specifically assigned to haunt this blog is a reliable measure of the power we have to destroy the falsehoods of consensus reality.
Note the names and methods of the professional trolls and their witting or unwitting helpers.
Attacking the US for germ warfare real or imagined is OK IMO but that is not all of what this trash article did. It did single out vulnerable local and outside aid workers as the vector of this disease and exposed them to real threats. This is irresponsible hackery and Saker, even with his warning, may lose credability for printing this dangerous and possibly violence inducing nonsense.
This Ebola outbreak is one of those stories that fall in the category of: too early to call [not enough facts, too much speculation going on, and so forth…] We might learn the truth at some point in the future, but chances are; when [or if] that happens most people would have lost interest by then.
At the moment it’s a dead end. Until more reliable facts come to the fore [or not], I would – personally – give it a miss.
That’s just my 2 cents.

The false flag scenario may indeed have some basis in fact but the four reasons given here for such an action seem rather weak and nebulous as I can think of several better reasons for motive to commit this alleged crime. So until there is better proof I will with hold making any rash judgement by not giving any story line a pass.
Why Does No-one Remember the Assyrian Victims of Europe’s Christian Holocaust?

alien Tech. Thank you for posting this. I am an Assyrian American. My grandmother’s entire male family was lead away to be murdered and the women and children forced into the desert. My great aunt and great grand mother died. Kurds did a lot of the wet work
They call it the Seyfo which is Turkish for sword.
The irony is that the Assyrians in Diaspora were eager for Bush to invade Iraq and overthrow Saddam. Many Assyrians acted as willing conspirators with the occupation. They were mostly ethnically cleansed out of Baghdad as a fifth column and victimized by Shia thugs
ISIS finished the job this summer and now the indigenous people of Iraq are all refugees
I remember chastising this group online saying they were crazy to trust America. Assyrians and Chaldeans were in nearly every institution in Iraq.
When they gave me the middle finger as a half breed, I remember saying, “Will the last Assyrian left in Iraq, please remember to turn out the lights”
July 3014, that came to pass
I have no problem with Saker posting this. It is on topic bc it speaks to the ends justifies the means West that has allowed a nation like Ukraine to terror bomb it’s citizens and yet blame And sanction Putin for a bloodless accession of Crimea, thus voiding one of the main objectives of Icky Vicky’s coup de tat of an elected President
Every t hing since has been illegitimate but ratified by the usual cabal of fascist and Neo lib/ Neo con enablers
The Corporate media, with its Anglo Zionist dominance, has validated European Nazis while chastising Middle Eastern Anti Semitism over Gaza
Weaponized Ebola is in line with feeding radioactive isotopes to retarded kids in New England or not treating African American syphilis.
I don’t buy the premise of this article but believe that Ebola is meant to scare Americans into accepting more and more direct govt control over their lives
Quarantines, forced vaccinations, FEMA camps. Common man is forced to surrender individual liberties to the State. Makes it easier to stifle dissent and distract from the coming economic collapse.
The SIC/ MIC is obsessed with revolt by the 99ers. occupy movement was a shock bc it happened under a “liberal” President and NYC mayor. That shook the establishment and mechanisms are being enacted to snuff the post collapse revolt in its cradle
All those old Quonset huts in decommissioned military bases will make good holding pens for those who dare not to consent with the oligarch’s bailout: socializing debt while privatizing profit

Re: Ebola Conspiracy Theory Article by Mr. Koenig.
Are you kidding me? Are you seriously engaging in cheap tabloid journalism because you’re too busy to post your own stuff (while it’s understandable that you’re maxed-out given the huge amount of objectives you’re trying to meet, but… THIS??!~!!?!).
This screwed up conspiracy theory is going to great work in uping your credibility regarding the Donbass (Not!!!).
Even some of the assertions are patently false on their face, like:
(1) Sierra Leone diamond miner strike upsetting the diamond cartel; total BS, the exact opposite would be true, the diamond cartel based in Antwerp & SA (including debeers, etc.) want to limit supply of diamonds not flood the market with them. They want the price to go up. Real diamonds can and are manufactured in the lab using techniques similar to making pure silicon crystals for the IC (chips) industry, these manufactured diamonds can weigh several kilos (100s of thousands of carats) and be doped with trace elements to make them indistinguishable from diamonds dug out of the ground. This is why diamond crystal manufacturers are required by Law in Russia, the United States, India, China and the EU to dope their crystals with an artificial agent that glows yellow under UV light (in order to make it easy to identify manufactured diamonds from those mined out of the earth). In addition, the diamond merchants in Antwerp have stockpiles of natural diamonds in storage to keep out of the market in order to maintain the artificially high price point of diamonds. The BS theory that the ‘elite’ want the Sierra Leone miners to restart work makes zero sense.
Yes, it’s true that the MSM is hyping Ebola, yes it’s true, on the face of it, that idiot Anglophile faction of the US power structure and their Neocon ‘colleagues’ have been delivered a humiliating defeat by Putin and the ethnic Russians of the Donbass. And yes, it’s true that pathetic sore losers who believe in Western exceptionalism (like Hitler believed in German exceptionalism) are desperate to get the Donbass story off the headlines, hence the distractions like the MH370 disappearance and the desperate shooting down of MH17, as well as the Korean ferry capsizing. However, they don’t need to spread a disease to get a distraction story, they can pull another Chandra Levi and bamboozle the idiots that watch-frequent CNN/FOX/MSNBC/BBC/Reality-TV/Facebook/ (the airheaded soccer-mom, selfie taking demographic) ad nauseam with just that.
The moronic article is filled with pure unsubstantiated bull. Where’s the proof to any of the assertions made you genius? Are you using some kind of magic crystal ball model to “project” and draw conclusions. Not a single substantiation provided in this article (pathetic and shameless).
Really a pathetic drug trip or paranoid delusion.
I can’t believe this is on Saker’s blog, I seriously can’t, I’d be more willing to believe someone hacked his blog and posted this nonsense to screw his credibility, but of course I can’t make that assertion because it would be unsubstantiated.
For Anyone Who Read Thoroughly – “Depopulation” Was Never Listed as a Reason. There Were 4 Reasons Listed and Depopulation Was Not One of Them. Beyond That There’s a Lot of Closed-Minded Dismissals and Accusations Made About the Publisher – But So Far No Intelligent Specific Rebuttals to Any Specific Points That Were Made… Perhaps Someone Should Try That. Just a Thought.
Judging from the hysterical reaction here to Koenig’s article, I’d say he raised an issue that hit a little bit too close to home for many people.
For everyone here who has their panties in a knot because the article raised the idea that America is behind the Ebola outbreak, here’s more evidence:
Evidence of US Development and Testing of Airborne Ebola
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/10/26/evidence-us-development-testing-airborne-ebola-robert-wenzel/
Given the history of American bioterrorism like the infamous Tuskegee syphyllis experiments on African Americans and similar experiments in Guatemala, it would be a surprise if the United States were NOT behind this Ebola outbreak.
America has got nothing on the infamous Nazi Dr. Mengele.
I read this entire comment thread, and then read the article. Given the usual leeway you have to give all articles, it seems pretty reasonable in its main thrust to me.
Erika you win the prize as far as I’m concerned for adding context and content to this discussion. I liked the facts you pulled together to make what I think is your principal observation – which I now see matches the thrust of the article – that this virus is NOT being treated like a REAL epidemic would be. That seems to be the key feature here – it’s also the key feature of a false flag of course. I can’t fault your analysis on its logic, and I haven’t seen anything in this thread that faults it either. And you sure provided plenty of collateral for your claims of fact. Thank you very much for all that work, I’ll keep it as a resource.
I’m still not sure what’s happening with this thing, but it’s obvious that something very shady is happening, maybe several shady things.
Meanwhile, those who proclaim that this situation can be taken or trusted at face value have failed to show evidence for this claim, in my assessment. I’m not convinced, not reassured at all.
As to Saker, I think he did what we’ve seen him do before, put something out here for the considered opinions of his readers, a crowdsourcing thing. His reasoning about not relying on MSM was perfect reasoning, I think. The very incoherence out there, at all strata of media, is troubling. Instinct for the truth is a survival skill – may we all survive.
Any credibility that attaches to Saker’s blog can surely only come from minds qualified to award credibility, qualified by their willingness to reason out the truth? I don’t think Saker has to worry about losing credibility.
Saker ! So you succeeded in getting alot of controversial dialogue on this topic…
I wish these commenters wouldn’t insult you the way they do, just because they’ve bought on to the latest scare story…
C’mon guys…get growd up and don’t insult Saker just because he gives the big picture…
I must say, I’ve been sending articles like Peter Koenig’s to ICH for weeks and he hasn’t even printed one of them…its all scare scare scare…liek MSM… ICH and Zerohedge both of them…scare scare scare….

As there was once a book called “The Anatomy of a Murder” I call this video “The Anatomy of a Murderer”
Its a true video about a psychopath who was an Army Officer and was caught a few years ago, by the Canadian police doing their real job…an amazing portrait of an interrogator…fantastic
I have read that it has been headline news in some African papers that the US is responsible for Ebola. Also, in one region of Africa it is widely believed that their water has been poisoned with formaldehyde – the symptoms of formaldehyde poisoning can mimic Ebola. (They actually caught someone in the act.) The African people are very attuned to the possibility of a genocidal scheme by the West – or so I have read from African sources. So while the claims in this article may seem outrageous, it is important to consider that the African people have ideas about the situation that mirror those presented here. Perhaps their views are not at all unreasonable and should be respected.
@ disappointed
“..hence the distractions like the MH370 disappearance and the desperate shooting down of MH17, as well as the Korean ferry capsizing. However, they don’t need to spread a disease to get a distraction story,..”
They didn’t have to do the MHs or the ferry, either. In fact I don’t believe they did. Different reasons for each, none for changing the headlines. Not EVERYTHING is connected.
Re ebola, IF they really had some in labs and IF that’s where this came from, I’d say stupid mistake, not deliberate. Because they make stupid mistakes on every false flag, they think they are so smart they don’t think them through or make a Plan B. Like Ukie’s “nukes on the airport” and “we won the fight we lost 1000 men in” they just expect the media to believe them anyway.
Plus they’re getting lazy. ONE person killed by ONE perpetrator counts as a terrorist attack now? last month a guy climbed the fence into the White House, why wasn’t he a terrorist? more to the point, why can’t their ever vigilant know-all systems warn them? why can’t the human eyes in the guard posts see them? sloppy and inefficient, see?
People are starting to laugh now. And that might be the way to defeat them. Logical arguments can’t get any traction, because they have no logic hooks left. If every one of us laughed, out loud, every time we hear this BS in the presence of others, pretty soon the whole world will be laughing. It might hurt their pride, tough luck. But it would break their hold. People can’t fear what they laugh at.
@Kat Kan – Sorry, but FEMA camps are a real phenomenon. They have been acknowledged by some in congress and there are a number of laws that have been passed in order to establish and organize these camps. I have read several of the laws myself. They are no fiction. One of the laws even makes plans for how to use civilians interned in these camps – including for military uses. Do a google search on it and you can probably read them for yourself (unless they have been scrubbed from the web).
You are way off-base in assuming you are able to differentiate conspiracy theory from conspiracy fact.
In the years following 9/11, a large number of the world’s leading microbiologists were killed under suspicious circumstances. These cases were always closed immediately and never seriously investigated. The probability of these deaths randomly occurring in a relatively short period of time is almost non-existent. These were clearly government hits. They had a reason for doing this.
The elite have been very vocal, even publicly, about their desire to reduce world population any way they can.
You may not yet know it, but the US government has a long list of accomplished hits – an extremely long list. The idea that these people do not plot against us is naive.
UN Agenda 21 is actually in book form and any idiot can buy a copy and read it. In it are such gems as plans for the elite to micromanage all of human life in the future, plans to eliminate the nuclear family, plans to institute a one-world religion, called GAIA and much more.
Another UN document that might make interesting reading is a founding UNESCO document by Sir Julian Huxley, the brother of Aldous, titled: UNESCO ITS PURPOSE AND ITS PHILOSOPHY. http://unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0006/000681/068197eo.pdf
This document lays out the elite plan for global domination and the establishment of world government and describes the stages needed to achieve this plan, as well as UNESCO’s true purpose – which is to propagandize the masses into supporting the plan. Huxley also discusses their plan for a drastically reduced population and the need to consider the outright elimination of weaker people, especially those who are “feeble-minded”.
You really should not be so glib in dismissing so-called conspiracy theories without first expanding your reading.
pcz
ooops. My last comment was for Godsend. Sorry Kat Kan. I am tired. pcz
@Erika – thank you, Erika, for the list. Appreciated. pcz

Not a waste of effort!
In the Netherlands nearly every garbageman speaks English (…)
Theoretically your right, but that is not my experience among friends and relatives.
The MSM are masters in conditioning.
Putin is for most of the Dutch a sneaky mean rat, maniacal craving for power. We should be afraid of him!
Besides that… all people are lazy, and don’t do a thing when it is not absolutely necessary.
Wanting people to read and engage in something that “controversial” as the Valdai Club content, it’s a must to lower any threshold to relax & open the defensive reaction on this intense scaremongering of the elite.
Providing a Dutch translation will help them to overcome the intelligent MSM blockades.
Just my idea.

Dear Saker,
Most of your readers would agree that the AngloZionist empire is behind the war in Ukraine, and the rise of ISIS. Now it is very important to determine if the same empire is behind the Ebola outbreak.
The credibility and value and popularity of your blog would be even further enhanced if you could help us answer this question.
Perhaps one of your contributors could undertake the research and analysis of the Ebola outbreak in a manner similar to what you have done for the war in Novorussia.
This is a subject of potentially enormous importance, and is certainly controversial. You have increased your reputation for courage, insight and honesty by raising the issue on the blog.
keep up the good work.

Peter Koenig’s piece on Ebola is excellent. Basically all infectious diseases are due to lifestyle, i.e. starvation, malnutriton, environmental toxins and both recreational and medical drugs. Media hype helps the medical-industrial complex to generate income, and the US-government has another splendid opportunity to exert cherished full-spectrum-dominance.
@ Saker
Saker my congrats for having started an Ebola discussion: we always have very well informed members and it is always a pleasure to get exposed to new viewpoints :-)

re: Chinese presence in Africa.
Former New York Times Shanghai bureau chief Howard French gives readers a glimpse of who the Chinese living and working in Africa really are. Fascinating article with no theories and no judgements, but lots of practical observations.
http://mg.co.za/article/2014-10-09-the-chinese-in-africa-empire-builders-or-new-pioneers
Those of us who are familiar with the Chinese mindset will immediately recognize the Chinese tradition.
re: China and Ebola.
As some of our readers know I feel familiar with the Chinese mindset (after 30+ years of private contacts) and I believe that China is an Empire just like the AZ Empire, with the following differences:
– their culture is one of the oldest on the planet
– their population is 1 billion +
– their Empire outlook is unabashedly shared by the population and viewed as patriotism.
– their idea of reducing the world population applies only to the non-Han (i.e. the conquered minorities which are down to 8% although their territories make up +50% of the PCR). For those who are interested we had a longer discussion about this topic in the comments section of “Dear Children of Hong Kong”.
Have the Chinese a responsibility in Ebola? Nobody of the 99% knows but from a purely cultural point of view the Chinese presence in Africa simply looks like another step in their empire building and so far their culling of minorities has only needed the time-honored techniques of slow colonization followed by destruction of the culture and language, economic marginalisation, outright theft (“winner takes all”) and violent destruction of outspoken opponents (by shootings and tortures mostly). In other words they’ve been extremely successful (from their point of view) without using anything like Ebola so far – but in today’s world of false flags you never know, and that is why blogs like the Vineyard of the Saker are so important because they allow honest discussion.
Paul Craig Roberts has another column on Ebola: http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/10/29/ebola-story-doesnt-smell-right-paul-craig-roberts/
“The only intelligent and responsible policy is to stop all commercial flights to and from ebola areas. Health worker volunteers should be transported by military aircraft and should be required to undergo the necessary quarantine before being transported back to the US. Why does the White House oppose the only responsible and intelligent policy? Why is Congress silent on the issue?
“The resistance to a sane policy fosters the suspicions that the government or some conspiracy group intends to use ebola to declare martial law and herd the population or undesirable parts of it, into the FEMA camps that Halliburton was paid to construct (without the public ever being told the reason for the camps).
“It is certainly strange that a government involved in long-term wars in the Middle East, the purpose of which is unclear to the public, and in fomenting conflict with both Russia and China, two countries armed with nuclear weapons, would so recklessly create more suspicions among the public of its motives, intentions, and competence.”
It’s getting difficult to tell hysteria from realism.

The national government gets a cut!!…does that not sound like ‘Mafiosi’ or ‘Cosa Nostra’ (in english “Our thing”).
The courts in every country are supposed to be independant…right!…. how does that work for you ??
The courts officers are employed by the State! ….the judges are appointed by the state!!…. how does that work for you ??
28 Entire countries are ruled from Brussles,an un-elected Oligarchy(The Pilgims Society,Bilderburg Group,CFR,AIPAC),
the front people mean nothing!.
The latest attempt is TTP/TTIP.this is the front for a corporate takeover of national sovereignty,
thousands demonstrate to no avail !!…what to do ???…..
To resist you must understand the problem !!..understanding the problem contains the solution!!
Any public exhortation to resist, will inevitably lead to accusations of sedition, terrorist activities,un-warranted search
and seizure of all wealth in the ‘investigated’ property under anti ‘money laundering’ legislation.
Are people who are frightened of these threats ‘Tin foil hat jobs’ NO!! absolutely NOT !!.
If you are frightened to lose …you lose!
At 7 years old I learnt these truths… I have had my three score and ten years,

Re: your link about Chinese investment in Africa.
Take a look at this paper:
http://www.ippanigeria.org/china_africa_working.pdf
and for financial figures:
http://www.iprcc.org/userfiles/file/2-Wu%20Fang-China-FDI%20to%20Africa-eng(1).pdf
The link that you provided implied that a) Chinese are racist and b) they benefit from the funding they are providing in Africa.
I am going to tell you a well known fact; aid provided to Third World countries, the main beneficiary is the country that provided the aid. If the US was doing the investment they would be bringing their own staff, talent and contractors.
A reason Chinese investment is popular in L.America and Africa, is that they are willing to invest in infrastructure. They are willing to invest in projects that are needed (roads, hospitals, schools, electrical grid), things that ultimately will help in pop health outcomes.
Another reason for their popularity – very limited involvement in those regions politics. After experience the heavy handness of American and European aid, it is a welcome relief for these countries that China is not interested in the social/political conditions of a country.
As for this whole Chinese ebola and destruction of culture/language … The adoption of English has been more destructive to Third world culture and language than Chinese.
Now for the Chinese ebola argument…right.
Do us all a favour and read the article below
http://www.cfr.org/councilofcouncils/global_memos/p33560
The Chinese approach to combating ebola is a more effective approach to public health planning in a third world country. It takes a long picture view.
They are not going to piss on their investment by introducing Ebola, especially when they are winning the popularity contest against the US.
Erika
Dear Murdoch Matthew,
“It’s getting difficult to tell hysteria from realism”? Reality, at this point, is sufficient cause for hysteria.
@Erika…….. 1/2 …about cultural differences
“ippanigeria.org/china_africa_working.pdf”
China’s official strategy is of course non-political – if they are interested in African resources they would be fools to imitate the heavy-handed approach of the Empire of Lies. But this paper does not look in any way at the individual personal situations and approaches of what they call private investments which are “sometimes completely unrelated to government policies” whereas the link that I provided takes just the opposite approach and looks at many individual situations. You may have noticed that the author of this article is a former Shanghai New York times bureau chief – this is significant because the probability is high that he spent enough years in Shanghai to understand the Chinese mindset – and what his article says for those who understand is “govmt policy is one thing, but the personal approach of the people involved tells another story”. And the fact that he didn’t say so directly shows that he wanted to avoid uninformed do-gooder comments from people who do not have the slightest notion of Chinese tradition. If you want to know something about the Chinese mindset you could try one of the following sources:
– one of the many Tibet support organizations who can tell you by direct personal experience the Chinese attitude to other cultures
– a diplomat or a businesman who has spent at least 3-5 years in China – the Chinese worldview is very different from ours and emotional understanding/partial acceptance takes some years (please notice that the author of my linked article is very probably in this category)
Btw I remember an interesting article in the International Herald Tribune (~30 years ago) that summarized the attitudes of experienced US diplomats to China– and they all agreed that the Chinese mindset is merciless and very different from ours: we have many readers with good memories on this blog – does this ring a bell with anybody?
@Erika……….2/2… about racism and immigration
„The link that you provided implied that a) Chinese are racist and b) they benefit from the funding they are providing in Africa. I am going to tell you a well known fact …. Do us all a favour and read the article below …..“
I appreciated your previous well-researched post like many of us did. But this does not mean I appreciate your condescending tone in this post – it is not because you understand some aspects of Ebola that you automatically understand Chinese motivations and world outlook.
Racism.
If you don’t even know that the Chinese are racist (they view it as “patriotism“) this is the surest proof that you don’t know much about their mindset.
Immigration.
There are Chinese immigrants in most of the countries I’ve visited so far, from the Americas to Africa, and none of those immigrants will ever go back to China. Now there are some countries that do not accept immigration – the most notable of these is China itself. They strongly encourage emigration of their citizens (I ‘ve heard from my private contacts that they support it even financially) – but why would they refuse some quid pro quo immigration from other countries? You’re free to think that this is an uninteresting question – but my personal common sense answer to this is that they understand emigration as an unfriendly act, namely as the beginning of colonization – and to me this is exactly what their emigration looks like.
There is another interesting country that is very cautious about Chinese immigration, namely Vietnam. But they have a very clear historical reason for that: they got invaded by China once, after some strong immigration – if my memory serves that was in the 19th century. And they are the only country that I know that sucessfully resisted China’s colonization – they did it by beginning a war in one of their occupied provinces (lead by a warrior queen no less) and threw the invaders out. And that is why, after the US-Vietnam war, they ejected all the Chinese immigrants from the South who came to US and EU as „boat people“.
And finally there is one other interesting country that is extremely cautious with immigration, namely Japan. I don’t know enough about Japan (and I regret it) but could that be because they are aware of this danger?
Hi Saker – I think it would be very interesting if you had a guest post by this reporter, Keith Harmmon Snow. He has been covering US genocidal actions in africa for years. there is a lot more going on there than is widely known, even among AZ opponents. Please consider giving this a look. I think this would change some minds here about what we are really doing there:

NotSoFast, I quite appreciate your posts because they give us a good insight into the Sinophobic racism of Western elites and their lumpen followers. It is glimpse into that sewer of race hatred that has driven Atlanticist aggression and violence for 500 years.
In the current London Review of Books there is a very informative piece on the Ebola situation, written by Paul Farmer. Many here (I certainly hope) will recognize his name. I think it is worth reading what he has to say. At the current time the article is free on the Web (LRB is normally free only to subscribers, but they give access to some of their articles). No idea how long it will be available and I recommend reading it before going off on a totally paranoid tear.
Here is the URL:
http://www.lrb.co.uk/v36/n20/paul-farmer/diary
Here is the beginning:
“I have just returned from Liberia with a group of physicians and health activists. We are heading back in a few days. The country is in the midst of the largest ever epidemic of Ebola haemorrhagic fever. It’s an acute and brutal affliction. Ebola is a zoonosis – it leaps from animal hosts to humans – which is caused by a filovirus (a thread-like virus that causes internal and external bleeding). It was first described in 1976 in rural Congo, not far from the Ebola River, as an acute-onset syndrome characterised by complaints of weakness, followed by fever and abdominal pain. Patients became dehydrated as a consequence of fever, vomiting and diarrhoea. Many became delirious and started to haemorrhage from the mouth, nose, vagina, at sites where intravenous lines had been placed, even from the eyes.
The Ebola virus is terrifying because it infects most of those who care for the afflicted and kills most of those who fall ill: at least, that’s the received wisdom. But it isn’t clear that the received wisdom is right. . . . “
Notsofast:
I am not educated on the topic, which you speak about to Erika…after being unkind to her … but my question is … perhaps the reason why Chinese expats never go back to China is … maybe this trend will be disappearing in the multipolar world…I mean that Chinese expats will go home again… the image of China is changing rapidly in our new world … they may want to return to their motherland now that prejudice against China is diminishing worldwide…except in Japan, which is a puppet of usa.
225,000 folks a year are killed annually by doctors and drug companies in The USA… Far more than any outbreak of Ebola will. A quarter of a MILLION every year. Ebola is BS, FAR is for sale and business is GOOD.
@NotSoFast
What is your nationality?
Your comments about China display the thinly disguised Sinophobic vitriol that increasingly infects the Imperialist West in general and especially Anglo colonizer nations from America and Canada to Australia and New Zealand to Great Britain.
Your rhetoric about some essentialist “Chinese mindset” itself reflects the racist and Orientalist worldview that the West has viewed China and the “Orient” in general for centuries. You thus laughably try to talk about a diverse nation of over 1 billion people as if they were some homogenous horde—evocative of the worst 19th-century British/ European colonialist pontificating and ranting about the “Heathen Chinee.”
Like the Anglo-European colonialists, your characterizations of China reveal more about your OWN (national) mindset than offering any truth about Chinese culture or supposed mindset.
Andre Vitchek doesn’t mince any words in describing this pathologically racist Western view of China—which incidentally is not that different from the West’s Russophobic worldview that people on this blog criticize:
The Irrational, Racist Fear of China
http://www.counterpunch.org/2013/01/04/the-irrational-racist-fear-of-china/
The fact that you cite a New York Times “reporter” in China or even so-called Free Tibet groups as credible sources demonstrates your deceit on this subject.
The “Free Tibet” movement, for instance, was created, armed, and currently sponsored by none other than the “Empire of Lies” (America) that you claim to oppose, in addition to other Anglo predator states like Great Britain, Oceania, Canada—all of whom, incidentally, should be credited with inventing modern racism with their unsurpassed talent to sow ethnic and racial division wherever they spread their tentacles… sorry, Liberty and Freedom, on this planet.
@NotSoFast
Your comments about China’s involvement in Africa are also deceptive and—most tellingly—regurgitate the very same anti-Chinese propaganda memes peddled by the Anglo-controlled media and American demagogues like Hillary Clinton.
The Anglo Americans outrageously accuse China of being colonialists in Africa, desperately trying to deny and discredit the fact that China has been able increase its investments in Africa precisely because it offers a *fairer* economic deal than the Anglo-Americans and Europeans, who can only offer their usual free market poison.
The Anglo Americans are also desperate to deflect from the reality that the true colonizers are the United States, Britain, France, Canada, and other Western imperial “democracies” who have been subjugating Africa militarily, economically, politically, and culturally for literally CENTURIES to this very day.
You only have to look at how the Anglo Americans and Europeans in recent times attacked Libya, balkanized Sudan, regime-changed Tunisia, and routinely bomb Yemen and Somalia, all while economically raping Africa with their noxious brand of Anglo/Western free market capitalism that would even make their revered vultures like Adam Smith and Milton Friedman blush in shame.

@NotSoFast
Finally, in terms of Ebola in Africa, I think it’s pretty obvious who is responsible for its outbreak–if there is a biowarfare connection.
That would be the United States and its allies.
Curiously, America was funding human trials of Ebola just before the outbreak in Guinea and Sierra Leone. This includes the United States Department of “Defense” giving $140 million to Canada’s Tekmira company to inject healthy people with the Eboba virus!
Also curious, Americans from Tulane University and USAMRIID, the infamous US military biowarfare center at Ft. Detrick, Maryland, have been in Sierra Leone, the Republic of Guinea, and Liberia for years conducting research on the use of fever-viruses as bioweapons, among other things.
Also, it’s very curious that the United States CDC successfully filed a patent for the “Ebobun” strain of the Ebola virus in 2009.
And it’s revealing that the United States refused to even give is ally of Germany reassurances that it wouldn’t weaponize Ebola. You have to wonder why?…
US Army withheld promise from Germany that Ebola virus wouldn’t be weaponized
http://rt.com/news/197500-us-army-ebola-weapon/
All in all, I’d say you’re a little too obviously in trying to divert blame away from America and its Western crime partners onto China with your Ebola allegations.
Perhaps, all the recent series of articles documenting the suspicious links between Ebola and America’s biowarfare operations have struck a politically “sensitive” nerve with you, eh?

“I am not educated on the topic, which you speak about to Erika…after being unkind to her”
When somebody tells me “Do us all a favour and read the article below…” do you really think I overreacted when I protested?
“maybe this trend will be disappearing in the multipolar world”
Sometimes I feel that a sea change is coming over the world and that we are becoming a planetary population – and maybe this will affect China too. But they are an old and strong culture – yet hope is always permitted and the alternative would be very unpleasant. And to be honest I have learned to /partly/ accept the Chinese way of thinking, for example:
-I feel that their views about racism=patriotism are closer to basic human emotions than the distorted AZ view – but I refuse their exageration of racial superiority that always leads to genocide
– I can also (partly) live with the idea that everybody is responsible for himself. Basically I agree with the idea that humans are social animals (somewhat like Indian philosophy) but everyone is also responsible for his own wellbeing too. And here again I disagree with the Chinese exageration that you are /only/ responsible for yourself and that others can be cheated at will.
“I am not educated on the topic…”
Let me also say that I greatly appreciate your honest reaction to this topic – you essentially reserve judgement because you are aware that you have no personal experience in this area. This is in fact the basic reaction that I would expect from most members of this community – but as you can see I am also getting reactions from members who are offended by a message they believe is impossible and who want to shoot the messenger. That’s also human of course :-)
Cheers
Total bullshit. There are a lot of false articles circulating around the Ebola crisis. This one is perhaps one of the worst. Uninformed, inaccurate, disengious, conjecture and straw arguments.
Ignore.
Read African newspapers or Sierra Leone papers (available online). Read Rhiza flu board (general discussion). Tons of information to counter this type of misleading propaganda.
When questions are asked about this latest psyop, as by Jon Rappoport (nomorefakenews dot com), it becomes easier to blow away the smoke and see what the mirrors hold. We are being led, once again, by those who continue with their problem-reaction-solution tactics to achieve their long-sought ends. As always, follow the money and see just who is doing what.
@ anon 11:04
I completely agree with your assessment that – if there is a bio-warfare connection – the Empire of Lies would be the first suspect.
I simply touched on the Ebola-China link because of a post of Fox Premier of 28 October, 2014 18:54 which I felt was a sincere speculation that China was possibly a behind-the-scenes organizer of the current conflicts. And since I’ve had extensive longtime relationships with Chinese – and since I’m apparently the only one here who dares speak about his experience I gave what I considered to be a honest educated guess, namely that I do /not/ think that China is involved in Ebola.
As to my understanding of the Chinese mindset this is a topic that is so foreign to 99%+ of the Westerners that they will automatically reject it as false – and then the only explanation is Sinophobia which explains the present outpouring of emotional judgement. But I know from a number of other discussions that many people who have spent a longer time in China agree with my understanding and I’ve stated my answers with the idea that on this blog there are also people who will reserve their judgements and keep the topic in mind as an open question.
Ebola is part of Bilderbergs Genetics program with Doctors with out Borders(Owned by Zionist Jews)
Ebola was Patented by CDC in 2010.

Ebola is BS! It’s must create more fear and fear and fear mongering. It is real that is spreads, but is not the paranoia of the MSM.
of Course the US wants Africa’s Resources that is with out question. Queen wants it all.
Judging from he uproar by some I guess we’ve got some closed minds about the source of the ebola outbreak. People who now accept that US killed half a million Iraqi children w sanctions still can’t believe that the same power structure could start a African epidemic.
Never mind that we’re simultaneously besieged w overpopulation articles. Never mind that the ebola czar has stated that the most important problem facing mankind is overpopulation– greeat qualification for a guy fighting an epidemic, huh? –Penelope
To all who seem in an uproar about China:
Mulga Mumblebrain said, “NotSoFast, I quite appreciate your posts because they give us a good insight into the Sinophobic racism of Western elites and their lumpen followers.”
Speculating on China’s underlying intentions in the world’s conflicts and competition for resources is not “Sinophobic racism”. Indeed, it is not racism at all. These speculations are based not on the characteristics of the Chinese people, but rather on the apparent hidden strategies of their rulers. Remember, China acts in subtle ways to implement longterm plans. Plans that may span millennia. That doesn’t mean these plans do not exist or should not be examined. Should we not examine every possibility?
I am sorry that NotSoFast had to take the heat for my post, and thank him/her for acknowledging it.
This is not the first time it has amazed me that a single negative word about China inspires outrage on this website. What is the reason for such emotional reaction? Fear that my speculations might be true?
To question the intentions of Chinese leaders is no different from questioning those of Western leaders. All big power is suspect today.
Thank you Saker for permitting an article on this important geopolitical item. It touches also — in an especially direct way– upon the battle to reestablish moral norms. Putin’s talk and the topic at Valdai was why it’s important to have ruleswhy having no rules is untenable. —Penelope
To continue this interesting topic of Chinese mindset…what about American mindset…and German mindset….and Ukrainian mindset…why would the Chinese people be immune to propaganda unlike the rest of the human race…to think that way would be racist !!!
God bless all !!!
I’m a little surprised at the tone of some of the commenters that we MUST not consider the possibility of US biowarfare in W Africa: It’s rubbish, we musn’t look at it. My reply is “Let’s look, then we’ll know whether it’s rubbish or not. Or, we’ll be tainted if it’s known that we looked: Certain topics are “off limits”, not politically correct. But self-censorship is a part of political appeasement. Besides, it cripples your mind. US has admitted to engaging in projects of cruel experimentation on its own citizens and others in the past. Erika has supplied some links to this. In the current controversy there’s a surprising amount of data coming out. I’ll work on organizing it, to see what I can present really briefly.

Notsofast suggests looking at a Tibet support group to evaluate Chinese attitude towards other cultures. Not so fast. The Dalai Lama is almost wholly supported by the CIA and the whole secession of Tibet movement is a typical US land-grab. Seems Tibet is one of the world’s very richest areas in an immense variety of resources. Why does the Dalai Lama need a separate country in which to practice his religion? Propaganda concerning the Dalai Lama and Tibet has been ongoing since the 50s.
PS I have seen not a fragment of evidence connecting the Chinese to any aspect of the ebola problem.
—Penelope
Penelope says, “Why does the Dalai Lama need a separate country in which to practice his religion?”
The answer: because he was driven out by violent Chinese forces who massacred many civilians at that time. Reverence for the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Buddhism he stands for were banned in Tibet by China for many years afterwards, and still to a large extent today. That the CIA assisted the Dalai Lama’s escape to India is perhaps the only decent thing that agency has ever done. But the CIA is far from being a major player in the life of the Dalai Lama.
Where do you get your seeming very distorted ideas? Perhaps you would benefit from reading the literature of the various mountaineers who visited Tibet during those and subsequent times. These mountaineers were among the few westerners able to set foot in those remote regions, and expedition climbers do not typically harbor propagandist motives. I would start with Heinrich Harrer’s “Seven Years in Tibet” (the original version), a story of this Eiger-climbing mountaineer’s journey across the plateau and his lifelong friendship with the Dalai Lama.

” The Dalai Lama is almost wholly supported by the CIA and the whole secession of Tibet movement is a typical US land-grab. Seems Tibet is one of the world’s very richest areas in an immense variety of resources. Why does the Dalai Lama need a separate country in which to practice his religion?”
About the History of Tibet.
We had a long discussion about Tibet on the 5th of October which you are welcome to examine in the section “Dear Children of Hong Kong”. To quickly summarize the historical aspects:
Tibet was never in its history a Chinese province. It was a province of the Mongolian Empire which also conquered China, and at one time a Tibetan ruler married a Chinese princess, but these facts do not make a Chinese province out of Tibet. Tibet had its own language, writing and culture, there were no Chinese populations and Tibetans certainly did not want to be invaded (in 1950). The Chinese claim that Tibet has always been theirs is a legalistic manipulation designed to spread confusion, just like their new claim that the South China Sea has always been theirs.
I was for some years responsible for the news bulletin of a Tibet-support group and I’ve quoted all my arguments from memory – but one of our commenters found a resource to check these facts, namely http://asianhistory.about.com/od/china/a/TibetandChina.htm
My thanks go to Alien Tech for this find.
About Tibet-support groups.
During my years in the Tibet-support group I met many people who had visited Tibet and/or India. I went to India myself where I met many Tibetan refugees. I participated in international conferences. And all the people I met were very humane and normal people who sincerely admired the unique Tibetan culture and wanted to support it – these people are private citizens who spend their own money, time and goodwill for a cause that they have decided is worthwhile. As to the Tibetans themselves you only need a few weeks to get a feeling for their culture – their tradition is extremely honest (too honest for their own good IMO).
@ penelope… 2/2
About the Dalai Lama’s CIA support.
I will admit that I was disappointed at the Dalai Lama’s support of the Hong Kong false flag op – and I even complained to the Tibet Network about it. They were quite candid and told me that they received financial support from NED (i.e. the US State Department). But then I put myself in their shoes: Tibet is an occupied and brutally colonized country – they know they will never be free again but they want to keep at least their language and their culture. The occupier is one of the strongest countries in the world which does not hesitate to intimidate or blackmail other countries who dare to invite the Dalai Lama or support his cause. If the Dalai Lama refuses the Empire’s support who will then support him and his people? And the Empire’s support means continuing articles in the Western MSM about Tibet’s plight, continuing worldwide interest in Tibet, continued fiancial support for pro-Tibet activities – of course the Empire does that for its own reasons. But if I were the Dalai Lama by now I guess that I would swallow the bitter pill and accept the only significant help that I could get. So as a conclusion I think I will re-contact the Tibet Network and tell them that I will continue to support them…

“To continue this interesting topic of Chinese mindset…what about American mindset…and German mindset….and Ukrainian mindset…why would the Chinese people be immune to propaganda unlike the rest of the human race…to think that way would be racist !!!”
A big thanks for this most interesting comment – I’ve asked myself the same question many times. Here are some indications pro and contra:
Pro (personal experience):
China is very similar to the US in its militaristic and strongly encouraged patriotic outlook. But when the Chinese emigrate to other countries, some of them seem to lose this “master race” view of the world.I personally know some Chinese in Europe who seem to /partly/ accept European ideas. I even had the big surprise that one of my good friends started thinking about “helping others” – which in the Chinese tradition is an absolute no-no. And I’ve also noted with interest that Singapore (which is basically a Chinese population) also has an active Tibet-support group.
Contra (personal experience):
Among the Chinese that I know well there are also some who remain completely Chinese – they live and die by the Chinese tradition. And there are the colonizers (who try to import more “relatives” or who want contacts with the secret police etc) And there are those in-between (is that last one a pro or a contra?).
Contra (some general observations)
On a more general level, I feel that China is a much older culture than we are, so that they have been exposed to their government propagandas much longer. Additionally their basic Confucian tradition endorses the view that you are mainly (only? – not quite sure) responsible for yourself. In other words China is also a more coherent culture than we are.
Whereas IMO Western Christian tradition is more humanistic and the present AZ nightmare originates with a small psychopathic (power-crazed) minority which makes all efforts to deceive (by the MSM) the general population which they know would not agree with their real aims.
Different mindsets:
I feel that this is an extremely interesting and sadly neglected (for political reasons: we all /must/ be the same) topic. There are already so very different mindsets in Europe alone, let alone completely different cultures. And it’s these (strongly underrated) differences that make the world interesting (IMO)
To NotSoFast regarding Tibet:
You said, “They were quite candid and told me that they received financial support from NED (i.e. the US State Department). But then I put myself in their shoes:”
Thank you for clarifying this. I have been strongly pro-Tibet as well as strongly pro-Novorossiya, and was deeply disappointed the Dalai Lama recently criticized Putin. To me, both men are, to use Paul Craig Robert’s words, “Leaders of the Moral World”.
I contacted the Dalai Lama’s website, expressing my disappointment, and never received an answer. Your explanation gives me some perspective. If supported by the US State Department, the Dalai Lama had to say what he said.
Many thanks for your insight on Tibet!

The Dalai Lama may very well be a holy man, but the CIA have been close to him beginning in his CHILDHOOD. I do not insist that he has a choice. My focus is on the CIA.

Naturally China resists the separation of Tibet from China– especially because Tibet would then become a CIA/Western outpost.
The two great axioms of the world order are 1. self-determination and 2. the sovereignty of nations. The obvious tension between them will continue to be at the moral heart of many upheavals that concern us greatly.
It is easy to see that self-determiation is used as a weapon by the West to attack the sovereignty of nations. It is important to affirm that our support for Novorossiya’s self-determination is more than an ideal: It is based on self-defense, which trumps all.
Regards. I’m sorry you’re offended about Tibet. –Penelope
RE: Whereas IMO Western Christian tradition is more humanistic
Oh wow.. from a genocidal race into an altruistic one in one sentence.. How quaint..
On par with the US invasion of the Philippines so as to convert the catholics to Christians.
And then to paint one of the very few civilizations that did not maraud around the world and kill of the native ethnic populations.
There are no angels but lets not whitewash history. We cant blame this on a cult and the last 50 or 100 years. This has been going on ever since we have any semblance of known history.
RE: Whereas IMO Western Christian tradition is more humanistic
Maybe I should have said “Whereas IMO Western Christian teachings include more humanistic elements.”
There are also strong elements of intolerance in Christianity, like in all the religions which originate from the Middle East: special slur words for the followers of other religions (heathen, infidels, goy), missionaries who came with the colonizers etc. I feel however that the basic teaching of acceptance of the other (which is not part of Confucianism nor of the other ME religions) is slowly emerging – and that the difference between the 99% (the manipulated) and the 1% (the manipulators) is slowly becoming visible for the first time in human history – thanks to the internet. For example if today the Western 99% were more aware of the real aims of the 1% I believe they would revolt – and that is why the MSM are so busy, and why the internet neutrality is such a big discussion. Examples of this emerging trend would be
– the increasing success of sites like the Vineyard and others
– the surprisingly strong international reactions to Gaza
Do you think I’m too optimistic?
P.S: I admit to my shame that I know very little about Orthodox Christianism – except that it has apparently not participated in many (most?) of the abuses of Catholicism. If I have mistakenly included it in the above thoughts no offense was intended. Is there a basic text (or a website) which could enlighten me?
To Penelope regarding Tibet:
You said, “Naturally China resists the separation of Tibet from China–especially because Tibet would then become a CIA/Western outpost.” Recall that Tibet was originally separate from China. China invaded and is now occupying Tibet. Whether Tibet would become “a Western outpost” is for sovereign Tibet to decide, not China. Nor do I believe that Tibet has strong CIA connections. There may have been some assistance, as the US is trying to defend Tibet against the Chinese occupation. Of course, had China not invaded Tibet in the first place, the CIA would not have been involved. Nor do I believe it is heavily involved today.
You also said, “It is easy to see that self-determiation is used as a weapon by the West to attack the sovereignty of nations.” Remember, Tibet was a sovereign nation before China attacked it.
Again, where in the world do you get your wild ideas? I’m serious. Are you Chinese?? If so, your English is excellent. I suggest you read Heinrich Harrer’s “Seven Years in Tibet” and the Dalai Lama’s autobiography before you make accusations. It is only fair to let the Dalai Lama speak for himself, if he and his nation are accused.
To NotSoFast, again regarding Tibet:
You said, “They were quite candid and told me that they received financial support from NED (i.e. the US State Department).”
I’ve looked up the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) web page, and they claim to be a private non-profit corporation. They do not admit to any link with the US State Department. Is this the same NED you were referring to, and if so, are there proven connections? Thanks.
Again we go back to revisionist history. It was not that the CIA got involved AFTER the Chinese invaded, they were very involved decades before and after the communists came to power they tried to get the Tibetans to cause trouble in China itself to undermine them. Which was one of the primary reasons for the Chinese to invade. Just like how the British were using the Tibetans to make allowances to Tibet’s borders against the wishes of the Chinese. Tibet might be a sovereign nation but there are other nations which depend on that sovereignty for their own security. Why else did the US attack Korea or Vietnam? Not like Korea and Vietnam was going to invade the US. Or Panama, Grenada, Iraq, Afghanistan etc.
There were US bases in India for a long time suppling the Chinese in their fight against the Japanese, Yes US soldiers and air force personal. After the war that became the CIA op. I dont support the Chinese invasion but as a nation the Chinese other than bitch slapping its neighbors did not go on a rampage to ethnic cleanse its neighbors or none of the other smaller nations would be around. Compared to their northern neighbors the Mongols, who cleansed entire swaths of Christians in Eurasia and even to these days you cant find many Christians there.
And Christian teachings are not so benevolent, as their missionaries proved worldwide and at home itself or have we forgotten the crusades or the inquisition or the cleansing of heathens on entire continents. So not sure what Christian teaching anyone can talk about other than for propaganda values. If you remember your prayers you know who you give your loyalty to and I believe I had to pledge it to the pope and some such deity someone elected to save us.
I believe strongly that organized Religion is used to distort reality and suppress the people from achieving greatness. . We dont need Jesus to come back to raise us to paradise, If we desire, we need to create Paradise ourself. Why God would even bother with such a pitiful race of cruel beings is beyond me and you have to be pretty naive to believe God even cares. With Trillions of galaxies each having hundreds of billions of suns and still comprise less than 5% of what the universe holds we dont even count as a speck of dust on the beach of things.

“I’ve looked up the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) web page, and they claim to be a private non-profit corporation. They do not admit to any link with the US State Department. Is this the same NED you were referring to, and if so, are there proven connections?”
As a reader of this blog you know what the AZ propaganda words “development assistance”, “promote democracy” etc really mean and if you look at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Endowment_for_Democracy you will find enough (edulcorated) info to make up your own mind :-) My personal understanding of the situation is that NED is the (barely disguised) arm of the State Department that is tasked with promoting color revolutions, Arab Springs etc.
“I contacted the Dalai Lama’s website, expressing my disappointment, and never received an answer.”
I believe that giving this sort of explanation would be very dangerous for an official pro-Tibet site – and especially so for the Dalai Lama’s site. And the answer I got from the Tibet Network was above reproach too – here is the main part:
“Thank you for your candid opinion. I’m sorry to tell you that Tibet Network and quite a number of other Groups in the whole Tibet movement also receive funding from National Endowment for Democracy. (Our financial statements are available on our main website http://tibetnetwork.org/about-us/funding/). I have certainly never felt that we were expected to be an agent to destabilize China, but I also firmly believe that democracy is an ideology that is based on human dignity – meaning, to live a self-determined life where individual rights are guaranteed, rather than just a form of government.
We’ve been so grateful for your support in the past and hope you can continue to support the Tibet movement in the future,…..”
And here – just for your info – is my reply:
“I’ve been thinking your answer over for a while now and I’m finally becoming aware of the fact that you’re between a rock and a hard place. So I don’t hold this against you and I will continue to support you (although I think you will lose some support from members who are aware of international politics).
With my sympathy”
Cheers
